Had fleas in the room. (My wife got mad leaf early. Didn't even want to eat breakfast. Got bit on the back of my neck and arm. Got up in the morning they were in the tub and on the wash clothes that we had used. I killed a few. And put them in a plastic bag. An took them to the front. Spoke to a young lady at the front desk. And told her about the situation. No manger came to speak to me at all . Have not heard from them yet. And the young lady said that they would call.

It’s was like everyone wants to be in a hotel room

The shower pressure was not the best this morning or yesterday. All in all, as much as we patronize this property due to visiting family in the area, we may look for another hotel to lodge. It just did not give us the satisfaction that we are used to, unfortunately.

It was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I could remember in some time. Very clean, met all of the standards.

The staff were welcoming, easy check in, room was clean and in good condition, the beds and pillows were comfortable. The room was a good temperature and smelled nice and clean. The only thing lacking was breakfast but it was free so what can you expect.

It was a nice location. I paid for a non smoking room. It had very clearly been smoked in. I have awful asthma and it triggered me to cough for the entire 5 hours we were there. Super disappointed in that. Plus it was a joining room, kids beating on the walls at 6 am and screaming.

Convenient clean comfortable

My husband and I typically lodge at this property when we’re in the area. It’s located near the airport, eateries of all kinds (Olive Garden is just a few steps away from the hotel.), shopping centers, and I-64 (towards Richmond and Virginia Beach, either direction). We always feel safe on the property and in our room. Breakfast is continental and nothing to rave about. Parking can be a hassle, especially in the evenings and on weekends. The staff is usually friendly and helpful, but this time, they did not mention that my husband and I were eligible for an upgraded room. It was Expedia who had asked us if we received an upgraded room since I am a Platinum Expedia member. We were a bit disappointed after finding out. However, we have another reservation next week at the same hotel because we plan to attend our granddaughter’s nearby high school graduation…we shall see what happens with our VIP stay at this hotel at that time.

The clean rooms and breakfast were great, but they clean up breakfast early before the cutoff time, so get there early.

Property was good, but the number of guests overwhelmed the breakfast area as far as seating available. Food was a bit cold for a hot breakfast. Too many guests for the eating area the hotel currently has available.

Nice hotel. Clean. Breakfast was great. Someone next door was smoking marijuana in the room through out the night, I have a autistic son and the smell bothered us both. I tried to calling guest services and I went down stairs no one was available. Otherwise the room was clean, and nice.

The staff here is excellent. It's very quiet place and safe feeling. Limited parking but many places around to shop and eat. I would say thing they need to clean the carpet and mop more. The gentleman on the evening shift excellent customer service. The breakfast staff great customer service and room staff great. I would also say since it now hot spray you don't want a flying insect problem and spiders. I would give them a 5 stars and recommend staying here for travels. But 4 star for cleaning just because of carpet and flooring. Overall highly recommend them.

No other rooms and since we had traveled in late for the early appointment finding another property was not an option for us.

The room was reasonably big for a family of 4. I like that there was a fridge/freezer and a microwave in the room. Free parking. Easy check-in and check-out process. Plenty of shops and restaurants around.

When i checked in my room smelled clean but upon inspection the bed had stains on it. The room was full of nats that we discovered through the weekend. We notified front desk they promised to come clean the bed we had to pretty much hound them. The hotel was full so they could not switch us and our whole family was staying there because of a graduation. The breakfast was trash. I would not stay here again or recommend but if you do stay. My young nephews enjoyed the pool. And the 10pm pool closing allowed them to burn some energy before bedtime.

This hotel is conveniently located to the airport, shopping and casual dining. The room was very clean and the HVAC was working well. There was fresh fruit and yogurt as breakfast options. The parking lot was safe. The staff was very friendly and nice.

Check in team were very friendly and helpful. Parking lot was small for the amount of vehicles. Good food close by. Breakfast was ok, you can never go wrong with fresh waffles.

Room was great. Very clean. However, we did have quite a few fruit flies. Walls were thin, but it’s a hotel. One morning we had no power so showers were cold and no breakfast that morning. Shower did not have good water pressure and only got too warm for temperature. Close to lots of restaurants. Great location. Parking lot was a little small. We would stay there again.

Hotel is very convenient to Newport News and surrounding area. We stay here to visit family in the area. Room was clean. There was an issue with the hot water in the shower. We spoke to the desk agent on Saturday about it but it was still an issue on Sunday.

Breakfast can have more hot selections. Not everyone eat pork.

I can’t honestly rate this hotel because I missed my flight and Expedia, this hotel and American Airlines first to reschedule my flight which was for an important milestone in my son’s life his graduation ceremony for the military. I am extremely disappointed and angry with my whole experience. For me now to be out not only on missing this important event I am out the money because they now refuse to give me a refund do not use Expedia to book they say it’s up to the hotel and the airline and then those says it’s up to Expedia I don’t care who it’s up to someone needs to give me a refund! I will never book through them again

The property was a good place to stay and in a great location. I felt safe and the room was always clean! The water pressure was pretty low, so it was difficult to shower. Overall, the bathroom was a bit run down. However, the front desk staff was absolutely amazing! There was a power outage on my day of checkout. She was so helpful in assisting me in getting my extremely heavy bags down three flights of stairs. I could not thank her enough! Without her help I would have not been able to do it on my own and would have been late for my first week of work. Thank you!!!

My suite was great! It was clean and spacious. I had a comfy stay.

Room and hotel were quite clean. Located conveniently to stores and restaurants. Included a decent breakfast. Room was large, decent bed. Large bathroom, great shower pressure, only complaint was shower curtain was short, so had to deal with water on the floor after using. Housecleaning staff were very pleasant. Would definitely utilize this property again if in the area.

I really appreciated how the sheets were freshly clean. They felt like they'd just been washed and I slept at ease and comfort. I didn't really like I could hear people talking in the hall at 2am. But you can't really control your guest.

My son didn't realize he left his wallet there until the phone call from the hotel. My family want to thank the staff and Conform Suites for its best service and care for its guests! Parking was horrible one night there was no parking available at all. Also the TV only had cable channels with no option to stream Netflix or any other platform. Some were cheap and quick to stay for a night or two but wouldn’t go back for a long vacation.

The cleanliness of the entire hotel was very comforting. The emphasis on not smoking while checking in was also reassuring the room I was entering would be free from smelling like smoke. The staff were kind & helpful the entire stay.

The breakfast was ok, especially the pancakes :) The staff at the reception was very friendly The bathroom although clean was dated, the toilet was a little wobbly. The breakfast was not completely warm and there was no bacon and I did not see any fruit. The TV did not have many channels

Everything was just what I needed for a quick, quiet and easy overnight stay. The only negative was the coffee with the buffet was really bad, but everything else super yummy!

The breakfast menu was okay, the usual waffle maker, eggs, sausage, bagels, bread, cereal. The coffee was a little diluted but also okay. Staff was friendly when they were there, a couple of times I had to wait for them to return to the front desk, there was a note stating they were assisting a patron on the floor. The room was nice. Internet connection was bad. We couldn’t watch certain channels due to low connection and our cell phones also couldn’t sustain an adequate connection. The bathroom itself was spacious but the bathtub/shower was very small. Both adults, who are slim build, average size people, hit our elbows on the awkwardly placed safety bar inside the shower stall.

The floor in the bathroom was dirty and there was vomit on the corner of the wall behid the toliet. Breakfast and coffee was mediocre.

Our stay overall would have been pleasant if not for the hateful staff member in the breakfast area between 8 and 9 a.m. I accidentally spilled some cereal trying to figure out the dispenser and she came at me like a charging bull, wanting to know why I had spilled the cereal. I apologized. She wouldn't acknowledge me; just rolled her eyes and left me standing there in shock at her rudeness. They couldn't pay me to stay there again. Her behavior was outrageous considering her very job is in hospitality.

I stayed here exactly 2 years ago for about the same amount of time(5 days/4 nights) and back then it was 5 stars. This stay was definitely not up to par. The breakfast was ok, when it was even out there!!! Most of the time, there was none of the food that my son and i normally get, either they need to better regulate how much people take, or restock all of the food better!!!

Spent a week at the hotel. We were not impressed with housekeeping. We would have to ask multiple times to get fresh towels, etc. Other guests would cook in their rooms and the smell would filter through the ductwork.

Do not stay here!!! First, I wasnt sure if the bed linens had been changed and we asked for clean washclothes and towels and never received them. You usually see hotel cleaning staff in the halls in the mornings but I NEVER seen any staff the whole trip and they do not clean your room during the day. I was traveling with my teenaged and adult daughter, and the first night our neighbors in room 311 were partying loudly and then loudly having sex all night. It was so loud it felt like they were in the same room. I barely got any sleep the first night and I had to sleep with the television on just to avoid hearing the couple next door banging against the wall oohing and awing during their sexual excapade. Plus the bathroom was not very clean. The area behind the toilet, the baseboards, and the actual floor were filthy. There also was NO HOT WATER when showering, it was luke warm at best. The toilet seat also did not fit the camode. It was cocked to one side so you had to be mindful when using the facilities so your leg is not touching the toilet lip/rim. The pool was not very warm either. The water was extremely cold and intolerable, so our the trip to the pool was very brief.

The hotel was very booked that evening but really did not negatively affect our stay. The breakfast buffet was jumping in the morning. The buffet staff were excellent & kept things organized, clean & running smoothly .... ver clean as well.

My vehicle got damaged multiple times property doesn’t have cameras. The card to the door wouldn’t work half the time.. staff would knock on the door and open without waiting for a response speaking Spanish.

Yes, it was a bed bug on the couch, we took a picture of it, uploaded it to the internet which confirmed it was a bed bug. I informed the gentleman at the front desk we were checking out and requested a refund. He informed me that it would be up to a manager and to call at 9AM. Still haven't spoken with a manger, called Sunday was told to call back Monday after 12. Bottom line AVOID this place unless your ok with bed bugs. Room wasn't clean either when we checked in; therefore, I should have complained right then and got the heck out of there. Spent all day Sunday cleaning my clothes and bags that we had there...

The hotel continuously smelled like bad smoking materials.Even though the entrance has no smoking signs and no marijuana signs. I shared when we checked in and it continuous got worst. If I could have found another place to stay I would. We could not eat the breakfast due to smell.

BUT… breakfast was not that great and the older lady that does the breakfast can be pretty rude at times. Witnessed this personally and also saw her interaction with another guest. Seems like she hates her job. People smoking weed around the property and smelled it in various parts of the hotel grounds. Beds too soft for my liking.

I’ve stayed at this hotel about 8 times over the last year and a few months. This time, we checked in, I completed my cleaning as I have done in the past, and then proceeded out. We returned, completed our night time routine and then off to sleep. Around 6 am, I spotted not one but two roaches. I go down to the front desk and Ms. Cindy was there. She tried to find something to assist with the situation but there wasn’t anything. She informed me that housekeeping would take care of and she would leave a note for the manager. I couldn’t wait, so I went to the store to get roach spray and additional cleaning products. I sprayed because no one came. There were no other hotels within the area for the price or this great location. I sprayed the same night and at 5am the next morning, the roach was sitting in the middle of the bathroom floor. This is a great hotel and I hope that this is the only incident. Overall, this place has been really clean and a safe place.

The outside of the property and lobby were in good condition. My room was in poor condition. the bathroom was in bad condition in my room. The drywall was damaged. The doorknob was damages. The till on the shower looks bad where parts of it was darker than the rest of the wall.

This hotel was beautiful, it was very nicely and uniquely decorated. The staff was great. I thought i had booked the hotel thru one extra day, my mistake cause i didn't, i did it for one day less. My sis was in bed napping and in stormed the front desk clerk and started yelling at my sister, telling her she better get out more or it's going to be 50$ an hour till she gets out, i just got to the inked for Thanksgiving done, sis calls me and tells me what's Happened and i mean this guy was yelling at her, it was horrible. Did not even knock out announce who he was, just bathed in our room and started yelling. I had given them 5 stars until that happened. Not good, she's too scared to stay at that hotel again, and so am I. So if you like that kind of abuse, we'll have a good time..

I really enjoy staying at the Comfort Suites (this was my second time there) for concerts at Hampton Coliseum. The location is great with easy access to all kinds of restaurants and shopping, and it’s an easy 20-25 minute drive to the Coliseum. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the hotel staff is very nice. It’s also very convenient to fly in and out of Newport News airport.

The hotel was wonderful. I’m pretty picky about hotels and this one was one of the best I’ve stayed at, especially for the price. It’s also in a nice part of town so overall a win! Kids loved the pool and the room had plenty of space for our family of 4

I will definitely recommend to my friends and family. We had an amazing stay.

I thought it was a new property but the bathroom was obviously not completely new. Beige toilet, grout was gross, walls were abused. There was no way to open the blinds. Had to prop them up with a lamp to get some sunlight. The hotel was not full yet they put me in a room directly next to elevator which was very loud. Could clearly hear the tv the neighbors room. Lifting up the curtains there was a lovely view of the roof.

We live out-of-town and lodge here quite often because of my husband’s doctors. We do not go anywhere else. The staff is cordial and friendly.

Overall great stay, room was clean and comfortable.The only downside was the breakfast. Few options and the ones available were tasteless.

The guy at the desk was friendly, lobby is dirty/dingy. Bathroom was not the cleanest. It had hair on the floor that was not ours. Walls are very thin. You could hear baby crying in the next room and their tv.

Hot breakfast was decent, typical continental style…eggs, sausage, waffles, bread to toast, packets of hot cereal, cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. No complaints. The attendant was kind and friendly. Overall, we would return to the property. It’s accessible to nearby restaurants, shops, and the Newport News/Williamsburg Airport.

Don’t really have much we didn’t like. Minor things like one outlet beside bed didn’t work, remote only let you do up and down buttons and no pressure in shower. However the hotel was very nice. Decorated well, very clean, pool was heated and decorated good, a lot of indoor pools have strong chemical smell- this one did not. It does get really loud with acoustics if other people in there. They had easy listening music playing which was nice. Beds super comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good. I just wish they would have had bacon on of our days. When checking out my little boy 6 yr old wondered over to breakfast area as they are cleaning. A staff member Sharon came out, he got nervous and told her he was just hungry. He wasn’t… but.. she was super sweet and took him right over to get some cereal, fruit and milk. At the end she gave us both a hug which is not common these days but very refreshing. It definitely made our day. We liked that Olive Garden was right at parking lot. That made dinner after a long drive an easy option after we checked in. Overall nice comfortable stay, clean, quite and good staff. Lots of nice resturant and shopping beside it as well.

It was nice until the giant bug was crawling on the wall.. I killed it but was too exhausted to switch rooms.

I enjoyed the comfortable bed and the room was roomy. The bathroom was clean and water pressure was durable. The breakfast was ok and hotel is within distance of shopping and eating places. We loved our stay.

The hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. The only issue was when the toilet needed a plunger, the front desk told me that the maintenance staff did not come in until 9 am. So we ended up using the bathrooms in the lobby.

Suite was clean and plenty of room. Bed is comfortable and Olive Garden is in short walking distance. Overall experience was excellent.

Great property for quick stops and is priced fairly. The rooms are generally clean and nicely decorated. Noise from hallways and adjoining rooms is loud. Manager at front desk was rude to another staff who couldnt find my reservation and I had to step in and remind him to be nice.

We had a hard time with parking after 11:00PM other than that everything was wonderful and amazing.

I have used this property for more than 20 years. Not fancy but it is always clean, safe and I always meet nice guests while I'm there. A few tips to management...add a pillow top mattress cover to the sofa bed and provide a real blanket for the sofa bed. Thanks in advance and see you soon!

Door key worked 1/4 of the time. Ants on the desk. Used coffee to keep them at bay Food service in dining area was so sweet. Very hard worker. Cleaning ladies on 2nd floor very accommodating and did a nice job in the room. Added on an unexpected extra day without issue.

We had a one night stay at this upgraded property, and were very pleased. The breakfast was okay, with a variety of continental items. The location was perfect with many eateries and shops. We would definitely stay here at this location again.

I fairly enjoyed my stay. There were bugs in the first room my Aunt reserved for two nights, but once we notified the front desk, the front desk staff apologized, then quickly moved us to another room. My Grandmother also made reservations for the same room that they moved us to for two more nights. I followed them, my aunt and grandmother, in making reservations for one more night. so, in total 5 nights were spent here. We'd definitely book here again, considering no place is perfect, not like home anyway. This party of two was fairly pleased minus the bugs in one room. Room #220, I believe.

The check in process was very easy, the staff were very nice and accommodating. The indoor pool is a nice size. The room was spacious for my family of 6. Everything was nice. Only thing we didnt like were the ants. Good thing we had off bug spray.

The pillows could have been better but overall the environment was nice, lots of shops nearby, quiet and the decor was pretty. Pool is indoor and warm which was nice. No noise complaints, very clean.

This was a great hotel option for us while attending a track event. It was convenient with lots of shopping and dining options. The room was clean and staff were friendly. Only improvement would be the breakfast options. I would love to see some more fruit, a scrambled egg option, and some already cooked oatmeal with toppings. Otherwise, we loved our stay.

We also witnessed while we were sitting down finishing our breakfast on another morning, several patrons had all filled the breakfast area getting their items, but instead of allowing the customers to grab their own milk etc she decided it was the best time to restock an already full refrigerator of those items at the same time, giving those customers the rude look as if they're in her way. No professionalism!

I was here for work, but this was a great and convenient property. The people were very nice easy to get where I need to go. Lots of restaurant options around.

Great place to stay

I always have a great time at comfort suites. We’re local and my kids and I went for a “staycation”. Baseboards need a little TLC. Otherwise it was nice ! Nice selection for breakfast as well.

I have stayed at this particular hotel before and welcomed this trip just as kind as i was in the past. Ms. Amy is the best front desk woman I have EVER met! She greets everyone with the biggest smile and speaks to you when you walk out and when you come back in. Such a refreshing human being that I personally appreciate tremendously.

Was suppose to be non smoking. Smoke heavy in room-asked to change room was moved to room right above still smokey- not okay when we when we needed handicap accessible and no other room available. Was told to open window and use air freshener. Room was very musty then and humid. We were stuffed up, slept poorly. Shouldn’t have to pay for room that wasn’t appropriate. Where are the nonsmoking rules. Very disappointed. Would like to talk with management.

The indoor pool was not heated during our stay. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming even when several guests were checking in at the same time and taking several phone calls.

Pool was freezing cold so my son was very disappointed! Gave up time with his friends at an outdoor pool because we thought the indoor pool would be heated as it stated on description …

Wanted to say the lady at the front desk is awesome this is the second time i have stayed and each time see was very nice and caring.. way to go on the customer service dont change for noone we need more people in this world like u .. ur smile lights up the room

I had a reservation at this location because I was scheduled to attend a funeral the next day. Unfortunately, my flight was canceled. I was instructed to forward the airline cancellation email to the hotel manager, which I did. I also contacted everyone involved. I informed them that there were no other flights from my city that night or the following day. The manager requested proof of cancellation. I forwarded the email to two different accounts I received. When I called to discuss the refund, the manager did not answer. I have left my phone number at this location to be called back. I did not receive a call. I am hoping that this matter can be resolved.

A little disappointed experience. I booked a room through a third party for six people and we ended up with a room with 2 queen beds with NO sofa bed. I reached out to the lady at the front desk about the room being booked for six people and she informed me that all their two queen room accommodate 6 people. I was like really? Three people on a queen size bed? Anyway, besides the bad experience to begin our stay, we noticed mold in the bathroom and could not get the room to keep cool. Somehow, the AC runs like 3-5 mins intervals. Breakfast was good.

The highlight was our check-in and the above and beyond attitude from the front desk employee. She was such a warm welcome and continued to be, everytime we walked in and out of the hotel. We will continue to stay here from now on when visiting our child at CNU.

My stay was overbooked without notice!

We live in Newport News and booked a 2 day stay for pool use! When we got there the front desk personnel told us that they were having issues with the pool temperature of being cold for 5 days already and their website is still offering the pool amenities and she said she got a lot of complaints already from customers about the pool being too cold! My point is they should have removed the pool amenity as part of their hotel services so NOT to give customers a false information and are hesitant to give a refund so we can find another hotel to stay in where there is a functional heated swimming pool! The other hotel (Marriot) we’ve booked prior to this had issues with the pool too but had a very good customer satisfaction and staff very considerate because it is the pool that we wish to use because it is my son’s spring break and he just wants to have fun using the pool since it was a fault on their end, they issued a refund without any hassle. I have stayed here for a couple of times but NEVER again because of poor customer satisfaction with failed offered facility!!! I live only 5minutes from here and let that staff understand that we were just there for the pool but she refused giving us consideration and had 2 expedia staff including myself a hard time for a refund. I did not get her name but she was the staff member working last 4/22/25 at 5pm. Wasted money, never again in this hotel for me, my family and friends!!!!! And hopefully most of you reading this!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡

Nice employees and quiet... rooms are nice

This property looks much nicer in pictures than it actually is. I will not return. The room was dirty (stains on bed frame, carpet stains, couch stains), the room was not cozy (soft and bright lighting which was inconsistent and not helpful for people with migraines like myself), the room did not smell clean, the hallways smelled of weed, the door keys were inconsistently working to the point I needed staff to keep coming to my room to let me in, and the elevators were not consistently working or in poor condition.

I had serval flight delays, that hinder my hotel arrival time which was a sat, next available flight was Monday plane arrival at 9 pm local. I would have wasted three days. I call the hotel the front desk receptionist was very understanding and empathetic to the situation. She then get me linked up with the regional manager to discuss a possible refund, he totally understood my issue with the flight and my booking was through a third party I might add which kind made things little sticky, but at his discretion he refunded me so that the third party booking agency could refund me back. I really appreciate their patience and dedication to make the brand a better brand and a choice of lodging, exceptional professional and customer service. We rebooked the next day and the choice was plan and simple we choose comfort in then and going forward.., keep up the good work

I was disappointed in the breakfast. There were no eggs, meats, and so everyone was standing in line to make a waffle. I ended up eating a piece of rye bread. The breakfast was the reason I booked a room there. My room was very clean and the desk person was very nice.

I stay 2 nights for my son uscg graduation I came with my family the first thing yes I came a little early because I was supposed to be in the graduation at 4:30 I they didn't let me go in I know the check in. Is at 4 but I think that is the check out is at 11 they should have all the room.clean by 2 at least we'll my next one was we went to took a shower omg the shower was broken it was running more water in the foset down that the one upper and my last one was we use a sofa bed and after we sleep my kids there I closed and we see big beds yes I didn't call the desk because I was leaving and they were dead but that was nasty and crazy they need more checks oh and the pool it was more frizzing in the pool than outside we couldn't get in they don't use heated in the water be prepared

This was a delightful surprise with a clean comfortable room. I loved it!

Close by food and entertainment (walking distance)

Staff was friendly, and accommodating. Beds were very comfortable, room was clean and had plenty of towels. Furnishings were sufficient. Breakfast was okay, probably better if you get up at 6, than 8 or 9. Parking was not great, since they were performing maintenance on building and several spots near front entrance were roped off. Was especially difficult when returning late at night.

Front desk service was excellent, above and beyond. Had an issue with my room keys, which turned out to be user error on my part, front desk very patiently went up to my room and showed me the correct method. My only complaints were that the AC in my room didn't seem to keep up and the mattress was very soft for my taste but otherwise a good place to stay. Room was very clean. Coffee in the lobby was very good and readily available.
