Great location at the corner of 43rd street and 8th avenue. Location is close to everything with several subway stops surrounding it. Access to the hotel is also available from 42nd street through the Regal movie theatre, right next to five below. The properly also provides a $20 bar credit and access to one local event a day during your stay (part of your daily facility fee that is lost if not used because it will be charged whether used or not). I would stay at this hotel again if wanting to be in the Times Square area of New York.

Check in was fast and the room was clean. We arrived before official check in time and our room was ready. Nice view of the river. The mandatory 45 dollar destination fee is annoying. At over 500 per night including taxes, no extra fees should be added. I thought NYC was cracking down on bogus added fees at hotels, but Westin is still charging this.

The only negative thing I could say was the breakfast at the hotel was very pricey even with the voucher that was included at check in. Other than that I would definitely choose the Westin for my stay.

Location is very close to Times Square and subway. Room is big, beds are comfortable. Staff at reception and the entrance were nice and friendly. Rooms are old. Technically they clean them every day, however the empty plastic bottle and some cookies cramps that I dropped the first night next to my bed, remained there for several days until my check out. Tips, however, that I was leaving on a night stand, were disappearing without a problem every day. Linens were also never changed. Housekeeping definitely needs improvement!

I loved the location and the cleanliness of the entire hotel, the memories we captured were worth everything ! The view was beautiful!! The cost was crazy expensive (but was something we were ok with bc it was close to everything we needed) , when we checked in the attendant at the desk said go straight down that hallway to your room….but she should’ve said go down toward the elevators and take the elevators to the 27 floor….we had to go back to ask proper directions to our room. Also the breakfast I thought was included but wound up costing $37 a person. Better communication would have made these few things a bit better.

The room was not cleaned and when I complained nothing was done for hours. Despite asking to speak to the general manager for 5 days I did not get an opportunity and the front office manager Brandon was not helpful and only fit to be a bell boy.

Hotel was excellent. The staff was very helpful, polite, and friendly. Walking distance within all theaters, variety of food options to choose, and close by nearly all subway lines.

The staff were super welcoming when me & my friends got there which i really appreciate especially when we had trouble figuring out which way to go to our room. The bar was AMAZING & the drinks were honestly so good! The breakfast buffet was TO DIE FOR everything was so fresh & they even had multiple fruits to choose from. Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic location just a couple of blocks to Times Square, to many Broadway Theatres, and four blocks to the circle line cruise piers. About eight or 10 blocks south of Central Park. We loved the location and had an excellent New York vacation with the Westin as our homebase.

Only Central Location Disappointing stay. Breakfast was limited and exactly the same every day. The breakfast area was very small and had no windows. The rooms and bathrooms are outdated and do not justify the price. We also had to pay extra for the third guest’s breakfast despite booking a room for three people with breakfast included. Overall, poor value for money.

We stayed here from May 23 to the 27th, we had a great time in New York. The hotel is very clean safe, and since we were on the 40th floor we could not hear any other traffic noise. The hotel was easy to get to from the airport, and very conveniently located to all the attractions both north and south.

This hotel was in GREAT area of NYC and convenient to everything. This will be our forever hotel\location - Times Square!

We were on the 12th floor and our room was very noisy.

Anna at the front desk was the sweetest person ever, she was super helpful and made the welcome to NYC very special. We had an amazing time staying at the hotel, it was close to everything, walking distance from all transportation. It was spacious, clean, and the staff are really sweet. 10/10 recommend.

The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful with any questions we had during our stay. We traveled with extended family and had multiple rooms. The rooms are very clean, spacious, and extremely quiet even being close to the elevators. The elevators are extremely quiet and quick, as well. Excellent location in Times Square and steps from all the sights! We loved that there was a 43rd and 42nd St entrance/ exit. Very short walk to Theater District. Would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel in the perfect location for a lot of the tourist sites & subway station next door for those locations not as close. Breakfast was great with so much choice & everything you could want. Bar area was very pleasant and comfortable with great friendly service Breakfast room was quite small for the size of the hotel. This resulted most mornings having to wait for a table to be available. On one of the four days we were there this was just over 30 minutes

This hotel is a great location to Times Square and the theater district. Extremely walkable and the subway stations are steps away. The hotel itself was very nice, clean, and spacious.

We arrived a little bit before check in time, but we were given our room early. The staff at the desk were pleasant and helpful. Our room was on 29th floor and we had a view of the Hudson. The 2 queen bed room was large and clean. The bathroom was roomy and had shelves for storing toiletries. Since we were only there for two nights, we did not have the room serviced. The lobby has tons of seating, tables, couches, chairs, so you are not stuck in your room on down time. We had drinks at the Foundry Bar, which were fine .. a little on the pricey side, but it is New York, so to be expected. The hotel location is right in the middle of everything, easy access to subway, Penn Station, food. This is our second stay at the Westin Times Square and will definitely return.

The resort fee of $40 per day allows you to get two tickets to a ferry ride or a comedy show ! The hotels in the middle of everything ! Great option for going to see a broadways show or just sightseeing ! Would definitely stay again!

The only thing I liked is the amazing support from John the porter. He's a gem of a guy and is the only reason I'm writing this review because if it wasn't for him, I would have walked out of the hotel and not stayed there. His professional attitude and approach and how he calmed me down was much better than the front desk staff and their manager. Everything other than John. I arrived at the hotel at 5:30pm and my room wasn't ready. I was told it would be ready in an hour. I needed to do some shopping anyway, even though I was jet lagged, I was fine and went out with the promise that they were going to call me when my room was ready. I returned to the hotel at 8pm, no one had called and my room was still not ready. I complained and was offered a $50 credit at their bar but all I wanted was a room to rest. 45 minutes later I was finally given a room... I was charged for the full fare, offered 15k Marriott points for the inconvenience that continued at the breakfast with the waiter insisting on seeing the voucher which I didn't know I was given until he showed me what it looked like, then charged me for the breakfast until I got to my room and brought him back the voucher and didn't believe me when I showed him the booking. What hotel in the world doesn't have a computer system to show which room has breakfast included or not and has to rely on vouchers?!?! All in all, this was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a Marriott chain hotel and especially the Westin that's supposed to be a luxury brand. They were far from it... Except for John the hero.

The towels were clean, but smelled very stale and unfresh. The door staff/porters were lovely, so friendly and helpful, especially Patrick. All in all, the staff was friendly and helpful. However based on the quality/cleanliness of the establishment, I will never stay there again.

We did not use any of the amenities or bar that was in the facility. It is very close to the subway around the corner which I felt was convenient. Close to little shops the theaters. The room was a decent size, we had a good view of the city life. The beds were comfortable. My only complaint was housekeeping came made our beds and brought towels. Which we were thankful for, but took the toilet paper off the roll and didnt not replace it. I called down to get more, 30 minutes later my husband went down and was told they were aware. It took an hr to get toilet paper, doesnt sound like a big deal but we had to go down to the 2nd floor to use the main restroom because of this. Something simple but should not have taken an hr to get. Otherwise I had no issues and would recommend this hotel

Room was a good size, bathroom good size. Location great Reception team not very engaging. Room facilities in consistent. 1 day 1 coffee cup, next day 2, sometimes water in the room sometimes not. Also contacted guest relations and mentioned it was our anniversary - don’t expect something to be done but got a response that they would acknowledge it and asked about dietary requirements - nothing in room and more importantly no mention of it on check in or out.

We called front desk and they did bring to our room an hour later. We only had one day in New York so we just washed with shampoo and water. Also the room we had was supper noisy from outside emergency vehicles.

The only thing I did not like was that you are charged a $40 daily fee for nothing. Supposedly you can use this at the restaurant or the bar. But whether you do or don’t, you are still charged this stupid fee. I tried to use at the bar after a show, and walked into the bar 10 minutes before they closed and they turned me away.

Kenneth, was amazing and very helpful. He made my experience and my birthday trip extra special with his hospitality. Thank you Kenneth and the staff at Westin. I look forward to visiting again.

We stayed at The Westin in Times Square and we had an amazing experience!! The staff was so friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. The security of the building was also great as we all felt very safe. Would highly recommend this hotel as it is walking distance to all the iconic NYC places. The car service is also amazing - Rafy was our driver and he was so kind. If you are between hotels, I would highly recommend The Westin. Definitely coming back soon!!

I came here for my 60th birthday with 12 of my family members last year and it was fantastic, so I decided to return but it was absolutely awful. On arrival, my refrigerator was full of food, the previous guests, there were No toiletries in the bath, no shower cap, nothing! The price doubled and less amenities. This was a bad representation of the Westin Brand.

The front desk wasn't terribly friendly but they got the job done. The room was very nice and the beds were super comfortable! The AC worked very well. I didn't like that every time you went into the bathroom the light when on. At 5 am when my friend got up to use the bathroom it would wake me up because the light would go on. The rest of the staff was really nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel and come back myself!

Only 1 bar and didn't open until 4pm. The store was open intermittently and wasn't able to purchase the items i had forgotten at home. Got a different room than requested. No refrig - and there clearly used to be one. Teeny ice buckets and a resort fee on top of it all!

This is my second time staying here but this time,I stayed on the lower floor. I liked the view and quietness. I will stay again during my next visit. Since I travel alone,I love the security! I was disappointed because my room didn't have a microwave oven or a refrigerator. The housekeepers didn't clean my room or to give me extra towels.

Location was great, mandatory $40 plus fees and taxes added per night, you get $20 foid credit per day, use it or lose it, go get a coke! Take the cruise, it was good and free! The museum was good also. Only downside was room is small, we were given a handicapped room although not needed. Very low bed, very soft. Keep in mind that rooms 01-04 are arranged around the elevator- didn’t bother us. Not much view except backside of buildings we were in 2401. We had a great trip!

Despite how busy Times Square is, the hotel gives a calm stability.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable. I was not crazy about the breakfast even with the $20 credit per day. It was still expensive for what you got. I basically had some coffee and a pastry and egg and some bacon and it was still $25 and to be perfectly honest the food was just OK. I only went one day and the remaining days I went around the corner to a diner.

Our floor was being remodeled so a little bit of “new stuff” smell near elevators and walking to our room in hallways but inside room was good. Nice bar area and helpful concierge. Front desk staff and bellmen were fantastic as well. Centrally located near most of the broadway theaters.

At check‑in, the agent failed to explain that our stay included a “convenience package” with tickets and amenities already built into the total price. Because this was never communicated, we were unaware of the benefits and ended up not using them, resulting in a loss of value. Overall, while housekeeping was great, the lack of communication and poor customer service at the front desk made the experience disappointing.

Overall stay was enjoyable. My issues were that you have to call for trash to emptied, fresh towels, toilet paper. Our phone didn’t work so I called using cell phone. No one ever came to look at phone. Had to call twice for toilet paper. Room service came in once during our 4 day stay. Made the bed and emptied the trash. No towels, no clean cups. Is this usual?

The Westin Times Square was a great location in midtown. Walking distance to all the great shows. Great service, clean, fairly quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay there again if I wanted to be in the hustle and bustle of Broadway.

Well, jokes on me. They don’t tell you beforehand that their actual fitness center is under construction and they have an excuse for a fitness center including a few treadmills and dumbbells. No cable machines, no bands, dumbbells only go to 50lbs. And the room had no refrigerator. There was no ice machine on our floor. The employees were pleasant and the room was clean. Overall, the thing that was most important to me was a complete fail, which is not the fault of the employees, just incredibly frustrating.

Room didn't have slippers, dental kit or any other basic things. On the day of checkout even though time is 12:00 pm for the check out a member of cleaning staff opened the door with us changing at 10:30 am!!! The thing that annoyed me the most is that there was no mention of something they called "destination fee" which is just an excuse for them to take 50 dollars per day after tax from you... They justify it as giving you some tickets to a comedy show or something but basically jsut robbed us of 100 extra dollars. Overall very unprofessional experience...

The rooms were not what I expected for a Westin, very dark with limited lighting, dated, and not the clean pristine look that I expect from a hotel. The room was supposed to have robes, there were none, no late night food options, the onsite restaurant was horrible, food and drinks were bad. I definitely will pick another option the next time I return to NY.

Second time staying at the Westin. Room was clean, location is great. Staff is nice. Highly recommend you DO NOT pay for the breakfast $38 dollars for a Holiday Inn express continental breakfast, it was the single most disappointing meal of our trip. There is also a lot of construction taking place that is pretty loud and it started before 8am on a Monday morning. Overall, we will still stay here again.

The cleaning staff were great. They kept my room clean and were very helpful. This is the second time I’ve stayed there and will absolutely be staying there again. The location is also excellent and my daughters enjoyed staying there. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

We arrived early and were greeted kindly with an early check in. The room was clean with a nice view of HM and Empire State Building peak. Close to shows and the square. All staff members were friendly and appreciative of our visit.

The room was very nice, the hotel was in close proximity to the lyric theatre which was very convenient. The concierge gave us some great dinner recommendations. Overall I would definitely come back to the Westin.

This was the worst experience I had . They put men the floor where it was under construction my room was dirty and nasty . When I did reach out the did move us into a better room . My first night there the waitress was very rude and I just can’t see myself going back . Oh and they did give me a $50 good credit . Worst experience ever

The location was great. However, the rooms are dated. There were holes in the sheets (housekeeping staff did replace, after a request). The room was also noisy, we were forced to hear running water anytime the guest above us flushed the toilet or took a shower.

We requested a refrigerator twice and were told both time it was coming and it never arrived. We had to call and request waters, as our cleaning service did not leave any new ones and also left some of their cleaning supplies in our room. Upon requesting waters, we were rudely told it would be a 40 min wait...like it was a complete bother to the person who answered the phone that we asked. When we come back to NY, we will find somewhere else to stay.

I didn’t have breakfast but did have a few drinks at the restaurant and service was good. My only complaint is that they don’t make the entry/exit way for strollers accessible. It’s really hard to go through the revolving doors with a stroller. Other than that, our stay with family was great. This is our second time in New York and decided to come back to the Westin.

We had a wonderful stay at the Westin Time Square. The updated rooms on the 20th floor were immaculate and very quiet! The staff at the Westin were very courteous and helpful! The hotel is centrally located and walking distance to all the attractions we wanted to see! I would stay here again! A wonderful coffee shop was right across the street and we visited it daily before venturing out for the day !

Room wasn't ready until more than an hour after check-in time. Staff provided a meal credit for the inconvenience, which was appreciated. The room itself could have been better. There was no mini fridge, lamps and telephone were extremely dirty, there was only 1 USB port for charging, bathroom light (motion sensored) kept going out while taking a shower. For the price paid, I had higher expectations for cleanliness and amenities. Would not stay here again.

We stayed at the Westin over New Years. It was perfect for our stay. There are a lot of food options near the hotel and everything in Times Square is walkable. There is a subway entrance right outside the hotel that will give you access to anywhere you want to go. I thought the room was a decent size for New York. Overall, I recommend staying here.

We had a great stay...our second time staying here and will stay again if we come back to nyc. We got in our room early...the check in very quick and the guy helping us was super nice and professional....room was nice , clean great view....room was cleaned everyday.....they were also ver nice and friendly....staff that stored our luggage on the last day were great and friendly...even offered me an unbrella...great location just cant say enough good times about this hotel....only neg was it didnt have a steam room .....if you are coming to nyc...you should def give thos hotel a chance

Except for the cleaning lady who walked in our room without knocking several times and the fact that there are no refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms. Only available by request. The bed and pillows were amazing! The shower also was nice! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby has ample seating for larger groups who want to hang out together outside the rooms. We ate and played cards in the lobby so we could all be together. The hotel is only about a 5 minute walk to Times Square. Definitely worth the price. If I ever go back to New York, I will stay again.

I always stay at this hotel - Kenneth, Alba, and everyone else are so nice and helpful, the rooms are beautiful, and the breakfasts are incredible (the bread puddings are especially yummy). My one very small quibble is that I wish the rooms were equipped with mini-fridges; other than that, I will never stay anywhere else when I take my frequent trips to Manhattan.

What truly bothered me was the way they handled the situation. The reaction made me feel as though I was being treated like someone suspicious or unable to pay, rather than a guest experiencing a common banking issue. It’s not unusual for a bank’s security system to block a transaction, yet they escalated it unnecessarily. That moment completely ruined what had been an otherwise wonderful stay.

This is my second visit to The Westin at Times Square. Everything was satisfactory. The hotel is conveniently located near Times Square. The staff were all very welcoming. If needed, you can request a microwave or refrigerator. The hotel is situated very near the 42nd Street subway station, and there are two Jollibee restaurants within walking distance for Filipino guests.

Every staff member we interacted with was extremely kind and always ready to help. A special thank-you to Manny, the gentleman who brought the minibar to our room, such a sweetheart! The location was perfect for my family and me. We were close to everything we needed and felt very comfortable throughout our stay. We would definitely return!

We were unable to check in at 5:30 pm. Then, when our room was ready later on, the line was so long that we left to attend a show. Ended up checking in around 10 pm.

Myself and family had a great stay! The room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. There were a few little minor things that needed adjusted like the shower head & TV, however the maintenance guy came in less than 5 minutes & fixed the TV. While we were out the shower head was fixed. Over all this is a very nice place to stay!

The location of the hotel was definitely super convenient. It was nice to be up on a high floor. The bed was very comfortable and I appreciated that housekeeping changed out the towels every day. The staff was very nice, friendly, and responsive to any request. The room service was good as well. I do wish the room came with a refrigerator and microwave as standard but we were able to request a microwave for a $20 charge. We didn’t mind this because we were coming from out of state and any food that we took as leftovers during our stay did not go to waste. Additionally, I do think that the bathroom is smaller than I expected it to be and there wasn’t a fan in it so I was grateful we could open the window in the room to dry out the bathroom and also to get fresh air. Overall, I would recommend the Westin at Times Square since it is in a central location, it is clean, and the staff are super attentive.

Pre check in and dropped off luggage at 1pm went fine. Arrived back at 5 to get room keys since check in is at 4 and was told room wasn’t ready and they had to wait as housekeeping had just come in and sometimes people have late check outs. Missed dinner reservations and ability to have dinner before show due to excessive wait to get into room around 6.

The only complaints that I have is that we selected 2 queen beds off of Expedia. Maribela at the front desk explain that they couldn’t switch our rooms because they were booked. She was able to get us a cot and extra bedding with no problem. Maribela and the staff was excellent during our stay at the Westin

The hotel was vibrant and welcoming with lovely furnishings in the lobby that made you feel right at home as soon as you walked in. The location was also central to anything and everything. Great gym, loved how quickly the elevators ALWAYS came and the overall cleanliness of the property. Traveled with my husband and children and we were all happy.

It was a great spot. Close to the subway which is incredible. Place was clean however we had two beds and both had sheets with small tears - not a big deal however kind of gross, they should replace their sheets. Great housekeeping. They stop serving food early though for nyc a minor inconvenience.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay. Great location (2 minute walk to Port Authority, which was the drop off location for our Uber Shuttle from JFK), felt safe around the hotel, easy access to the subway. Would stay at Westin Times Square again, no hesitation.
