    Such a nice boutique hotel. Close to the theatre district, a block from Time Square and nice restaurants near by. We did not have a car and walked everywhere. I used the hotel gym and it was a very well equipped place to exercise. I completely recommend this hotel.

    Express elevator was very efficient. Staff exceedingly friendly. Great location though getting to and from via Times Square less than ideal. World Cup soccer fans completely took over Times Square Friday night and it was very difficult for us to push through crowds to get back to hotel from our night out. Avoid walking through Times Square whenever possible!

    Everything at the property (lobby, room, elevator, hallways, EVERYTHING) is impeccably clean. All staff members are friendly and attentive to your every need. The location is simply unbeatable! 5-10m walk from: times square, all the Broadway theaters, Rockefeller center, hells kitchen, etc. Easy access to all public transportation as well. We'll absolutely be staying at The Muse next time we're in NYC!

    Lovely and clean. Staff very friendly, no extra charges added. 1 minute walk to Times Square. A few Metro stations within 5 minute walk. Would recommend. Noisy aircon but that is normal for NY hotels.

    Very good boutique style hotel, two steps from the Times Square but on a quiet street. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable. Limited bathroom amenities, but soap, conditioner and hair dryer are there. Still and sparkling water and ice dispenser I believe on every other floor. Nice cafe/bar in the lobby. They serve decent coffee in the morning, baking goods, yogurt, juice etc. In the evening it’s a bar with a good cocktail list and sometimes even live music. They can store your luggage before and after.

    Location . Close to most of the shows we were going to No coffee/tea maker in the room. Went downstairs to the restaurant to get a ONE cup of tea - $5.50! Then to make it worse, gratuity was already added and I believe my total for ONE cup of hot tea was about $7.70 Seriously?!?Having no coffee or tea in the room reminds me of Las Vegas where they also do that to make guests buy overpriced Starbucks in the lobby. Makes me want to not stay there again.

    There are several reasons I liked the hotel. Great location. Not on Times Square so avoided the noise and crowds but close to everything. Short walk to Broadway, Central Park, all the big spots. The rooms were spacious for New York. Little restaurant on site. All great things. But the staff was NEXT LECEL.i was addressed by name every time I walked in the door. They knew everyone. So if you are looking for the boutique hotel they has it all, this is the one!

    The customer service was excellent. Good, room service and amenities were as advertised. All the Ladies at Front Desk, and Manager were very helpful in that I am disabled with a walker. They were helpful to myself and my daughter who accompanied me in the stay. Knowledgeable about the area. Plan on definitely returning.

    Room itself was quite spacious for the 4 of us adults. Most rooms in comparison in other NYC hotels were a lot smaller I believe from room measurements. Location is great in terms of train stations nearby as well, right next to Times Square so pretty good if it's your first visit to NYC. Storage of bags is also free which is nice as some hotels were charging a fee Room itself is a bit dated, the carpet on the floor felt a bit neglected and didn't feel clean at times.

    Excellent hotel, it will become our “go to” hotel for NYC. Close to all the theaters next to Times Square but super quiet (we got a back room). Very helpful and friendly staff. We had a tight schedule seeing a Broadway matinee and needing to get to the airport ASAP. They arranged a car and had our luggage ready as soon as we got back from the show. They offer a complementary continental breakfast that was excellent. Very comfortable beds, nice size room with comfortable sitting chairs, a solid 4 star hotel in my book! Highly recommended

    The hotel's location was excellent. The staff were very polite and helpful. The room size was exactly as we wanted; an ideal room size for families with babies. The air conditioner in the room was very noisy. It needs servicing. There was a pitcher in the room, but no water. The cafe/bar was very inadequate; it didn't seem ideal for a meal or breakfast.

    Great location, friendly staff and good value hotel. Nice bar area downstairs. No drinking water in the room and filling the jug meant going downstairs to the cooler 2 floors away. Nothing in the mini bar so you needed to buy stuff and put it in. Not so bad after day one but when you arrive it would be nice. No hot drink making facilities either.

    Larger room than expected for central Manhattan and a great bathroom. Comfortable bed. Excellent staff service. Love the bell men who do a great job of storing and handling luggage. Very clean and we appreciated the good blackout shades. Only issues were that lighting in the bathroom is a little dim and we didn't have an easy spot to put our luggage (even though they are small roller bags). This location is right near Times Square, so expect noise. The hotel can't do anything about that. Dim lighting in the bathroom. Need more space to put luggage, especially since there's no room for a closet (standard situation for Manhattan)

    Excellent location, just a 2-minute walk to Times Square. The room was relatively spacious for New York standards, and having a water filtration machine on the floor was a nice convenience. Overall, the size of the room and storage space were good. The balcony had no view and faced directly into another building, which also reduced privacy. Housekeeping service was inconsistent; for example, a broken glass was replaced only after 2 days and not properly renewed. The furniture and room fixtures felt old and worn. Sound insulation was very poor, with noise from other rooms and corridors clearly audible. Staff were generally not very friendly or welcoming. Breakfast was weak and overpriced if not included.

    I went on vacation with my 87-yr. old mother and was really stressed about accessibility (she uses a walker), getting around town, etc. This hotel is very centrally located (we walked to see our show, no problem). But, the best part was the staff. They are all so welcoming, friendly, and accomodating. I will stay again the next time I'm in NY!

    I especially liked the staff. They were extremely helpful-- they knew our names and they were friendly. It felt like family. Alma and Diane adn Daniel were great- The housekeepers were also nice. Our room was lovely and I liked the bathroom especially. The room was clean and accomadating- The location couldn't have been better. The air conditioning in the first room wasn't the best- but when we were moved due to an over exuberant family of a graduating senior- the air conditioning in the new room was perfect.     The staff was great. The location was great. My room was very comfortable, although showing a bit of wear and tear (knobs missing from lamps, a small tear in my bedspread, older and not particularly well-functioning soap dispensers in the bathroom). Just some little things that could have made a good stay better. And I really dislike the nightly "facilities fee." I know a lot of NYC hotels charge them, but they are ALWAYS irritating and seem like a bait and switch (the offered rate is not as low as it appears). I think any charges should be included in the nightly rate. This was an irritant as I checked out that will unfortunately be my lingering memory of The Muse. I hope it was worth it.

    Overall was a good stay at the Muse, third time in New York and was the most expensive hotel we have booked. You get nothing different here compared to other cheaper alternatives. However room was always clean and there was one friendly member of staff (man on reception) who was the only one who would speak. Damaged property, during our two week stay I had two damaged iPhone chargers when addressing with the staff the manager suggested I go buy a new one and get it reimbursed, being from the uk I couldn’t find any within my area. I was told I could resolve once home, it’s now been two weeks and I’m still yet to receive a response from the muse. Our first night we had no sleep due to noise, shouting cars, bins ( all outside of the hotel ) I went down early the following morning and was told I should have requested a ‘quite room’ (first I’ve heard of this). However after being told to bring all of our stuff back down we were given a different room at the back which was quite.

    Breakfast is an insult for the guests ❗small window and you're allowed pick 3 items including coffee☹️ No fresh ingredients, no yellow cheese, just hard boiled eggs, yogurt & mussley, packed sliced fruits.. very insulting.     Beds are comfy and the shower is great. Little Opus is very inconsistent. Impossible to determine when they’re open and what they might be serving. No remote control in our room. Phone did not dial the front desk or any department. Apparently there was supposed to be a sign telling us that but there wasn’t. Way too close to Times Square.

    This strikes me as a dated property with a far below average bar and breakfast service. Room was clean but nondescript. It was a very busy hotel week in NYC which is why I stayed here. Many of my preferred hotels were sold out or nearly $2,000/night. There was no water provided in the room (at over $900/night) and there was nothing in the minibar for purchase. It was like being in a hotel room during Covid.

You can’t hear any noise from the room, and the beds are among the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. I would also like to highlight the kindness of the staff. They are always available to help with any issue. If you need anything (an electric kettle, extra towels, etc.), they bring it to your room very quickly. I needed a late check-out because my flight leaves very late, and they truly did their best to accommodate us. Excellent value for money. I hope to come back next year! Nothing

    My experience wasn’t great. The first room was noisy and had an unpleasant smell, and although I requested a change, the hotel didn’t move me until the next day. The second room was quieter, but the hair dryer was sticky and needed to be wrapped in a towel to use. Overall, the stay didn’t feel worth the cost.     The staff were so friendly and helpful. There is real pride about the property from the staff. We easily checked our bags because we arrived early and the room wasn’t ready. The front desk staff were professional and knowledgeable about restaurants and activities in the area. The room was very big and spotless. The location was perfect.     Staff was wonderful - shout out to Tony, who checked us in in the early morning hours! We were always greeted when we left and arrived. Rooms were spacious and clean. Plenty of room for 3 people. It was so quiet, unbelievable to be so close to Times Square and not hear a thing from inside or outside the hotel. Went to Little Opus for breakfast- breakfast sandwiches were large and delicious, great deal for the cost! They add a 20% automatic gratuity onto food/beverage orders in the Little Opus restaurant. The only place it says this is in very tiny writing on the menus (if you even looked at the menu). Tipped as we usually do. Found out after getting the receipt and noticed the bill was extremely high. The manager was kind enough to refund us and make things right. Customers should be made more aware of this when paying at the kiosk.

Rooms are ok. Right in the middle between 6th and 7th Ave you have more than enough choices for transport, shops and food. If you have a room on the streetside then be prepared for noise at night. And the view is not really exciting but hey this is a bedroom. Bus and subway stops are about 5 minutes away. Not unlike some other hotels where the stations are right below the entrance.

    Staff was wonderful - shout out to Tony, who checked us in in the early morning hours! We were always greeted when we left and arrived. Rooms were spacious and clean. Plenty of room for 3 people. It was so quiet, unbelievable to be so close to Times Square and not hear a thing from inside or outside the hotel. Went to Little Opus for breakfast- breakfast sandwiches were large and delicious, great deal for the cost! They add a 20% automatic gratuity onto food/beverage orders in the Little Opus restaurant. The only place it says this is in very tiny writing on the menus (if you even looked at the menu). Tipped as we usually do. Found out after getting the receipt and noticed the bill was extremely high. The manager was kind enough to refund us and make things right. Customers should be made more aware of this when paying at the kiosk.

    The location is great if you want to be around Times Square, Bryant Park and a few of the top attractions in New Yerk and not have to take the subway. Most of the staff are friendly and willing to help. A lot. I travel a good part of the year and often stay in 30+ hotels and homes. We arrived at 1 am after a 6 hour flight. Immediately on entering the room we noticed loud noses coming from a construction site. We also noticed the windows didn't seem to block the noise and it sounded like we were almost outside. We asked to be switched to another room and were downgreded to a lower unit but at least it was quiet. The person said we could ask for another room on the other side of the building which would be quiet at night and of the same class we booked in the morning but we would have to leave our luggage at the front and pick it up in the afternoon. We came back in the afternoon and were assigned a room but noticed it was still close to the same side as our original room. That night I didn't get much sleep from the noise. I had requested another room but was told they were all full. The next morning I noticed someone different was working and asked if they could put us on the quiet side of the building. She said she could but we would have to get our luggage and leave it at the front desk which we did. The final room for the last two nights was quiet because it was against another building so even though we didn't have any kind of view, it was quiet. The building is very old and some things like having a barthroom fan or better sound insulation have to be lived with. The staff was friendly but the room situation really made the stay difficult. I manage vacation rentals and would never put someone in a place that loud at night. The air conditioning or heating fan is very loud so we turned it off which meant we just didn't get air in the room. I would suggest bringing very good ear plugs if you stay here. When we left I left some shoes in the room. We put our luggage at the front for 1.5 hours and the cleaner didn't notify the front desk that there were shoes left behind and also when I emailed I few hours later I didn't get a response.

    The hotel is a beautifully maintained boutique property with an inviting, upscale feel. I chose a suite for my birthday, and it was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with elevated touches. What stood out most were the details: fresh French pastries, a bottle of champagne on ice, a carafe of ice water in the room with a filtered refill station just outside, plush robes and slippers, and a gracious early check-in.     I’ve stayed here twice and my mom has stayed here 4 times. We’ve been impressed with the friendliness of the staff, location, and overall feel of the hotel every time we’ve come.     Great hotel in a perfect spot for theater goers. Our room was fairly quiet, despite the proximity to Times Square. By NYC standards the room was ginormous. It was spacious enough to spread out a bit and relax. The bathroom was also quite large and there were multiple mirrors in the room and bathroom for more than one person to get ready. The multiple plugs in each nightstand was convenient. The front desk staff was amazing.

    This was a nice stay for our first time in New York, the only thing is I was charged of course a security deposit which was per night 4nights 400$ and then another full nights stay as another security deposit to “make sure my card was legit” literally what I was told by front desk. This charge was another $400 or so, I literally had almost $900 deducted the first night I got there, on top of the initial charge for the room. In my opinion this was extremely absurd especially considering our balcony room door was broken so that was uncomfortable going to sleep and not being able to close the door properly, also no microwave in the room which is very ridiculous for such a high price. There’s no room service either but they have a restaurant downstairs. I really enjoyed my stay in New York overall but I’d probably stay at a different hotel next time.

    The room was true to the description and picture online. Very clean, and staff was friendly/helpful. An added bonus is that they will keep your luggage for you if you want to explore the city without lugging it around. If you use valet parking they will let you keep the car there the full 24 hours even if you have to check out of the hotel. Definitely recommend this hotel for others.

    No drinking water provided in the room or facilities in the room/on the floor. No coffee facilities in the room, coffee had to be bought in the cafe next to the lobby. Room was a little tired, in need of some investment. Ventilation unit was hanging out of its slot on the wall, cracked toilet seat. Staff were friendly and helpful, location good and central for tourist stuff (Central Park, Times Sq, shopping etc.) Noisy street outside in the early hours of the morning didn’t help with sleep, but the bed was comfy!

    I chose The Muse because it was a convenient and well priced location with regard to my weekend plans. The hotel was lovely: very clean and well maintained property, amply sized room and bathroom, very comfortable and quiet, and very pleasant front desk staff. I didn't have the chance to take advantage of the fitness amenities or on-site bar, but both are good features to have!

    Room adequate if you were there only to sleep. Bed was comfortable. No coffee maker or microwave. No view. Ice and water on 6th floor only. Staff in lounge not knowledgeable. Prepackaged food in limited variety available in lounge, no restaurant or food service. Electric went out in my room and I had to go to the lobby in robe with wet hair to tell them because phone in room was not connected.

    We had another 5 star experience at The Muse! The room was fantastic - better than anticipated. The staff could not have been more courteous and accommodating, especially Daniel! Breakfast (the avocado toast in particular) was terrific, and every interaction we had with any of the staff was kind, proactive and helpful. The location could not be more ideal, yet it still has the feel of a boutique hotel. This is definitely our "go-to" hotel now any time we are in NYC (which is usually several times per year.) I highly recommend!

    Long line for check-in. The room has no coffee macine. Just two glasses in bathroom. Not sure how they expect 4 people to use two glasses. No cutlery in room and if you ask for cutlery in the cafeteria they just give one and if you ask multiple they are not happy. The heating unit constantly turns on and spews cold air so had to stay under the comforter all the time. I would not stay here again.

    The Muse is a great hotel. All my interactions with the staff were positive. We dropped our luggage off before check-in and explored NYC. We came back at check-in time, which was a crunch with other guests checking in as well which produced a long line. When I finally got to the desk our room was still not ready. I say all of this not as a complaint, as this can happen, but rather how the staff handled the situation. They were cool, collected and had patience with each guest that I saw. Daniel at the front desk accommodated us as we waited for our room to be available and I felt that he cared about the delay in the room being ready. The rooms were clean, the views were great. I would stay at the Muse again.

    This hotel is a gem situated a half a block off of times square. It's location is in the heart of everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small, but we weren't there to spend time in the room. The bathroom was great, nice size shower with good water pressure. The only negative were one of the elevators was out of service for a couple of days. Be careful as the hot water temperature is very hot. Also there was a lot of construction happening on the block. We could block out a lot of it by running the fan of the AC/Heater, but I also requested a room on an upper floor. If we had been on a lower floor the construction noise might have been worse. Overall I would stay here again.

    - Front desk was not helpful and didn't seem to want to work, felt like they were doing us a favor - Requested rooms close to each other because we have little kids and ended up on separate floors - Rooms were on 4th and 5th floor and could hear the noise from Times Square all night - Heating was running all night and the noise from the machine made it hard to sleep - Bed was inches away from the front door, no entrance way nothing - Rust all over the vents in the bathroom and door to the plumbing was wide open - Tub was chipping and old The worst was really the service. I can deal with the hotel needing renovations, but service is in the management's control. The front desk is the first impression and it was not good. Also, don't forget to ask for your paper bill. Unlike most hotels I've stayed at, they don't stick the bill under the door overnight and had I not requested it, I wouldn't have received it. The reason I say this, is they added a line to the bill saying Charitable Donation for $2 (optional). No one asked for this, no one explained what the donation was for, it was just on the bill. I don't have a problem with donating, but not like this.

    Staff is nice however the balcony portion of the room is misrepresented in the pictures on their site which was the deciding factor for me in choosing the hotel being that it has no amenities. So disappointing and the front desk clerk agreed that info on the website is misleading being that only one suit has the terrace open large balcony. At a cost of $800 that should definitely be stated. I feel deceived and will definitely escalate the issue.

    Amenities/basics - was told by Israel at the front desk that rooms do not have a coffee maker (which I understood when I booked the room) but that a fresh complimentary carafe of coffee would be brought to my room if/when I asked. The next morning, I called for said coffee...waited over 25 minutes for them to bring me a Keurig! Seriously? I could have just gotten that the night before than. Thanks for the "Holiday Inn" - level standards.

    Clean room, kind front door and front desk staff, continent 1/2 block from times square but in a quieter part of the street away from the chaos. We saw 5 broadway shows while there and walked continently to and from the hotel to each one! Would absolutely say here again and recommend it to anyone.

    This was my 4th time staying at the Muse. The location is great, staff are very friendly. I like a smaller hotel and this is perfect. It’s nice that they have reopened the bar. They do offer breakfast now as well but I miss the complimentary coffee bar.

    I stumbled on The Muse while doing TONS of research on proximity to parade route, dog friendly, walking distance to theatre district, etc! Choosing the Muse for our 9-day stay was the BEST DECISION EVER!!! The rooms are Beautiful and Huge, the location can’t be beat (we walked or took the subway around the corner, everywhere), and best of all, the staff here are absolutely the BEST!! Special shout out to Daniel for being SO amazing, SO helpful, SO kind, and SO friendly! He is a big part of the reason why we will never stay anywhere but The Muse the next time we are in Manhattan! The Muse is a true gem tucked in the middle of West 46th with Times Square on one end and 6th Ave (Macys Day Parade route) on the other! Love, Love, Love this hotel!!

    Have stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed our stay here. The check-in was quick and easy. The room we had was spacious and comfy. The hotel is located in the theatre district so everything is a walking distance for restaurants, and public transportation.

    The staff was always friendly and helpful. The room was so big! That’s a hard thing to find at a fair cost, but The Muse provided that AND a spacious balcony with city street views. I would stay there time and again. The restaurants next door were also great. Thank you, truly. You made our family girls’ trip one to remember for years to come.

    The lobby and the room were both comfortable. For four adults, we had a room with two queen beds and it was more spacious than a typical Manhattan hotel. The staff were also friendly and efficient. It was a very nice stay.

    Check-in was easy but not one minute early, room was nice, clean, roomy and updated except heating and ac unit. Vent was in odd place on huge old unit under the window. One side of the room was freezing the other hot. Not especially efficient. Also when I purchased the room it breakfast was listed but when I got to the hotel they said it wasn’t. We had a party of four staying at this hotel so all four people reviewed the booking and it definitely listed breakfast so not including that was definitely a big deal to me. Considering the room was 1100 for two nights breakfast def should have been included .

    Dark, quiet room. Good shower and Pillows/bes. All comfortable. Difficult channel finding TV, Ive machine not working on our floor. Overall , friendly staff. Stayed 4 days and they wouldn’t/couldn’t allow an extra hour to check-out. Made me angry, also asked to cash a $100 so i could top the maid staff… they front desk said they wouldn’t do it.

    The hotel is really pretty. The room and bathroom were both really spacious. The staff was friendly and overall experience was great! It was really close to the theater that I was going to that evening. I would recommend staying there if you are looking to stay in theater or Times Square area.

    Fantastic location central to Times Square, Broadway, Radio City & Rockefeller Center. Very pleased with our updated, clean room. Had a minor issue with the shower when we arrived but maintenance had it fixed within 15 minutes. Limited breakfast is pricey but on par with what you would expect. Enjoyed a nightcap at the bar on most nights. Would recommend.

    Hotel is a little dated in the building materials (cracked tiles, wallpaper peeling). Staff was friendly & accommodating. We asked to move rooms due to external noise & were immediately moved to a much quieter room. The original room was beside the elevator & was loud all night.

    We stayed at the Muse for the first part of my birthday celebration in New York though we had trouble with canceled flights. The hotel was understanding and did not cancel our reservation. The room was decorated beautifully with flowers and chocolate covered strawberries and balloons. The location was right near everything And maneuvering The city was easy. The staff was nice for the most part, but there were a few moments that made us raise an eyebrow. Our rooms bathtub was an Our rooms bath tub was a bit damaged, but still function properly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and I had an amazing birthday.
