Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the hotel's central location and friendly staff, but express frustration with the ongoing elevator issues and lack of cleanliness in some rooms. The hotel is undergoing renovations, which has led to long wait times for elevators and some inconveniences for guests.

All in all, a good stay. Close to Central Park and all the good shopping :)

Clean room. Polite staff. Great location.
- 4/5
The wait time for the elevators was way too long.
- 5/5
Great location and great hotel. I would stay there again. After staying near JFK (not recommended) this was an oasis!
- 5/5
Closely located to so many attractions: Rockefeller center, Radio City Music hall, Times Square, and the Hop on/Hop off bus drop. Would definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
Great location. Front desk staff was not very friendly. House keeping staff was very nice. 4:00 check in ended up being 7:00 check in due to room not being ready.
- 5/5
Great location to Carnagie Hall, and easy access to subway. Everything is awesome.
- 3/5
downgraded my room co they overbooked the king
- 5/5
elevator needs fixing. they need extra .. there's a lot of people checking in so i think its time to add more .. they said my room is city view turns out just a windor facing wall or the the building. anyway accessibility is the most important to me .. including the microwave.

Was in terrible condition. Clean as far as maid service but water stains on walls, dirty warped floor boards, super tiny, bathroom Was horrific
- 5/5
Great location! Food available in the hotel was good and there is nearby food should you want to go out. Location to the park and public transportation is excellent!
- 4/5
Brilliant location and very clean but rooms are quite tired with damage and generally rough round the edges. However this hotel is in such a good location and its brilliant value. Chromecast didn’t work but wifi was good on devices.
- 5/5
Great location to visit New York. Walking distance to so many things such as central park, Carnegie Hall, theater district. Room was very well maintained, good space. Happy hour with live music was a bonus. Really enjoyed our stay here.
- 1/5
Worst experience ever! Bedbugs in room and hair everywhere. Black mold in the bathroom. Cracked sink and carpets damp with mold. 50 layers of dust on the baseboards. Broken shade. Windows were open on 3rd floor. Did not feel safe. Do not stay alone as a female in this hotel better yet just book somewhere else. .
- 4/5
Check in came with a $100/day incidental fee. The room was okay except for the bathroom. The bathroom had mold in the shower and was dated. Cleaning service came everyday and refreshed towels. I liked I could connect to my YouTube and Netflix in the room.

When we checked out, we were told there were no notes on the issue. They said they had waived the hotel charge as a courtesy, but when I reviewed my AmEx bill, I had in fact been charged. There was no coffee in the room, no washcloths, and no kettle. We had to pay an unreasonable amount for coffee in the lobby. There was also no valet parking, even though it was listed online as an amenity. My husband had to walk three blocks to the garage. The hotel claimed there was a garage discount. We gave them our ticket to validate at checkout, and they said they had done so and sent a message to the garage, but when we got to the garage, there was no discount and no message. We were charged full price. Really Shameful! I will never recommend this hotel to anyone and will never, ever stay there again!

This is our third time staying here. It’s a great location! Not too hectic, but close to everything. Rooms are really large for a city hotel. Will stay again I’m sure.

Everything eas great, I just didn’t realize my reservations didn’t include breakfast, my bad.
- 4.5/5
Excellent location!!! No complaints really, it was sold out so it was very crowded! Long waits to check in and check bags in and out.
- 4/5
The location, within 5 min walk to Central Park The rooms are tired and in need of some attention. We did like the location of the hotel but we could hear traffic and road noise during the night
- 4/5
Great location and lovely view with a good room My experience with the front desk was a bit frustrating during the day. I booked a king room with a view and was given a twin queen with view on arrival in the evening. The check-in receptionist was helpful and gave me a great view, and promised I could switch to King the next day. However, the morning staff said they don’t know anything about this and then tried to move me to a room facing a wall instead. It took a slightly exhausting back-and-forth and packing/re-packing of my luggage before we decided that my current room was the best one available with a good view even if its twin queen and they then offered some complimentary refreshments.
- 2/5
I liked the proximity to the events we had going on. The elevators were too slow and too few. The room was disgustingly. We had terrible beds, dirty floors and windows, and mildew/mold all over our bathroom (sink fixtures and shower area).

It was very convenient location and cleaning staff were cheerful. Only problem was there are only 2 electors worked from the lobby, so sometimes I had to wait for a while. Otherwise it was nice stay and our family will be back next NYC trip.
- 5/5
Loved the bar area. Loved the food store. Shower was wonderful.
- 5/5
The hotel was well maintained but the rooms could use a facelift. I loved the staff they were all so helpful and kind. The rooms were cleaned promptly and the breakfast they offer was a great starter for the day. Pricing was great i would recommend this hotel for your stay in New York.

Nothig I made a reservation through Booking.com for a four-night stay at Park Central Hotel, at a total cost of approximately USD 1,200. This reservation was made nearly ten months in advance, as this was a very special trip planned to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A few weeks before our arrival, we reminded the hotel of this occasion through messages sent via the Booking.com platform, which are documented in the reservation records. From the day of our check-in, June 2, 2026, we reported multiple issues concerning the condition and maintenance of the room. These concerns were raised both directly with the hotel and through Booking.com, and were supported by photographs documenting the deficiencies we encountered. Among the issues observed were numerous damaged or poorly maintained elements throughout both the room and bathroom, including cracked mirrors, damaged walls, a deteriorated bathroom door, missing or broken fixtures, and several other maintenance-related problems that were clearly inconsistent with the standard, category, and price of the property. Although one of the initial issues—the bathtub drain stopper—was addressed, none of the remaining concerns received any meaningful response or effective resolution. When we requested a room change, we were informed that no alternative room was available at that time and that the matter would be reviewed the following day. However, we never received any update or alternative proposal. We subsequently sent an email to the management contact provided by the hotel. The only response we received was a notification that our message had been forwarded internally. No further communication followed. At the same time, we continued to report the situation through Booking.com, ensuring that a formal record of our concerns existed throughout our stay. Despite this, no effective action was taken to address or resolve the issues while we were still guests at the property.
- 3/5
loud noise from roof top A/C condenser unites
- 3/5
No coffee pot, no fridge and no kettle in the room. The kettle was provided upon request but had to use tap water or buy bottled water. There is a water machine in the fitness room but none in other common areas. Very few amenities. No body cream or paper/plastic cup. Very much a good sized room but bare. The staff showed poker face when enquiring about kettle and water. At first we were told there were two beds in the room. Turned out it was only one King bed, comfortable for two people though.
- 4/5
A common public area would be helpful for anyone who has to-go food but don't want to eat in the room. But I know space can be a challenge in NYC
- 1.5/5
N/a Room noisy.

- 5/5
It is in a great location to shopping and restaurants.
- 3/5
Carpets in room dated. Mattress work. Pop smell near elevator bank. Will not return
- 5/5
Oh you are performing in Carnegie hall or going to a concert, Park Central is right across street . Also one block from Central Park. Excellent location!
- 1/5
Room was dirty, blind had broken 45 mins wait for no one to come and complained to the manager who was a disgrace. Stayed a few years back was such a nice place would avoid now. Can see why it was £250 a night cheaper than everywhere else.
- 3/5
The vacuum that the cleaning service used was out in the hallway and it looked like it was from the 70s or 80s. There is no way the floors are clean. Additionally, there were men’s hairs in our bathroom from the first day. The bathroom mirror was pitting and terrible. For this to be a 4-star hotel, they would need to do ALOT of renovations.
- 3.5/5
Being at the heart or center in NYC
- 3/5
Location was decent Should have Microwave facility
- 3/5
Location The room was nearly falling apart. Plugs coming out of the walls, wall paper coming off, elevators barely opened, shower head was hanging on it’s last thread.
- 3.5/5
Great location. Quiet. Clean. Comfy bed. Check in lady couldn’t be more bored and impersonal if she tried.
- 1.5/5
Poor
- 3/5
Dislikes: Bath didn’t drain properly which meant both guests couldn’t use it. Took a while to fix. There was no kettle or tea/coffee in room. Was provided on request but the milk/creamer tasted bad. The room temperature was not well regulated. Too cold at times. However, blankets given on request. Bathroom door got jammed and had to get someone to fix it very early morning and I was almost late for a meeting.
- 5/5
Great hotel and location that was close to Times Square but not in the mix of it all. Lobby was very clean! Staff was attentive. Room was also very clean! Would absolutely return.
- 1/5
I like nothing it was a horrible experience I’ve stayed in better rooms at a motel 6 , we had to carry our bags 3 blocks just to get to the hotel , the room was old and run down , beds were not comfortable , had no iron or refrigerator or microwave , for the price we paid was not justified, being downtown New York City you have to do better , what was suppose to once in life time experience was horrible stay

- 4/5
Good location, well presented No kettle in the room , probably because they want you to buy from the shop in the lobby
- 5/5
Clean room, but the vanity on the bathroom needs maintenance.
- 5/5
It was a great experience, just as explained
- 4.5/5
Great location, staff was super friendly and helpful!! Very comfortable bed. Would definetly be back!! In the first room we checked in, one towel was a little dirty, I think it might have been forgotten. However, we didnt mind it, we just did not use it. The next day we changed the room anyway and had no issues
- 4/5
Great feel as you enter the lobby. It’s a hotel with a lot of history and you get that when you walk in. Beautiful bar area just behind reception. We booked a corner room for the views and up on the 17th floor we weren’t disappointed. Yes we faced a building on one side undergoing some work but it didn’t matter. The two queen beds we had were big enough and comfortable enough for the 3 of us. Not a lot of space for clothing but we managed. Iron/ironing board/free safe in the wardrobe. Small fridge, desk and comfy window seat. Lots of power points. TV with multiple channels. Spacious bathroom with a brilliant hot shower over a small bath. Powerful Hairdryer, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. You hear people come and go but it’s not a noisy hotel. Windows open to let the air in (aircon and fans also provided) but you’ll just let the noise from the streets in - and they do love honking their horns!! Great location close to Central Park. We used the deli on the corner for a cheaper breakfast bite than the hotel coffee shop and for drinks for the room. Concierge great for getting us a taxi as we left. Would absolutely stay again and recommend. People mostly complain about the lifts! It’s a big hotel with a lot of people and so you’ll queue - but not for long. The higher the floor the better for coming down and guaranteeing getting in first time.
- 3.5/5
Location is perfect. Nice room, good cleaning on the days as well Lifts took a long time (10-15 min). The grab and go breakfast is not sufficient, and from the advertising I thought it would be included
- 4.5/5
The location was extraordinary. The only thing is that didn’t count on a frigo bar.
- 2/5
Great location and very comfortable beds. Rooms are slightly dated but still really comfortable. Do not expect any level of customer service from the front desk team.
- 3/5
The location was the main reason we chose this hotel, and I can confidently say it was a 10/10. It is very close to the beautiful Central Park and several nearby subway stations. We loved it. I chose this hotel for my family and me because I thought it would be worth the price. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. First, there was no coffee machine or mini-fridge in the room, and the staff sometimes failed to refill the shampoo and soap. We were a group of three people and stayed for about a week. We asked for a mini-fridge (since we had bought yogurt and other food items), and the staff told us they would put us on a waiting list (what???). That was shocking to me, as I have traveled to many places, and having a mini-fridge is usually considered a basic amenity. We also chose a Premier Room with two beds, but unfortunately, we could clearly hear the people in the room next door. This had never happened to me before. Overall, the experience was quite disappointing. Thank you for reading.
- 4/5
Great location. Staff is wonderful and the rooms are clean. Older hotel but well priced
- 5/5
Lovely hôtel, really great place to stay, great location, friendly staff will definitely return soon
- 5/5
Great location near Central Park. I wish more affordable than other hotels that are this nice. It’s basic, but if you stay in the right tower and get the right room, you’ll feel safe, well accommodated, and ready to go about your business every day.
- 4/5
Location price people Dated worn but if new cost would be 5x based on location
- 3.5/5
Location No coffee/hot water facilities in the room Hot water in the shower was often very slow
- 4.5/5

- 3/5
There was a vacuum cleaner on at 11:30pm? Not sure how the hell that happened. The lobby restaurant staff wasn’t exactly rude but didn’t provide great service. I wanted to buy a drink at the bar and sit down at a table but they made me do this song and dance of paying from the table instead. And they turned up the lights way before closing, clearly trying to shoo people out earlier than they should have.

- 4/5
Excellent location, clean rooms.
- 5/5
Loved the daily room service. Got stuck in the elevator the first night, as the door wouldn't open. Would have loved it if breakfast were included in the nightly accommodation cost, but I guess this is New York. :)
- 4/5
No restaurant Turned cold and they couldn't turn the heat on for the hotel
- 4/5
Centrally located, easy to get to. Staff was great, let us check our bags as we arrived a few hours before the check in time. All hotel staff was super friendly & professional. The water pressure for the shower, but honestly I'm not a fan of the 'rain fall' style shower heads, so this is more of a reflection of my personal option versus an actual fault of the property.
- 3.5/5
Good
- 4/5
Staff were amazing. However, my unit didn’t have mini refrigerator so be mindful of that and also we had to get fans… the ac was set for 65 and it was still hot. Target is down the street for $15 fans. I had to leave the 2 fans I bought so I know they have some to let people use. Or the cleaning staff took them ;) Overall, great safe stay and I would stay again.
- 3/5
When arriving before check in time, staff was helpful with checking our bags so that we could explore the city and come back. When arriving at check in time, the room type we booked was not ready, so we opted for a double that was ready. Room was dirty, shower was smaller than a cruise line shower, mold, etc. Window shade didn't work, and it wasn't until last day that we realized our window had been open the whole time. Carpets filthy everywhere, especially in lobby seating area. Elevator buttons sticky, wouldn't light up in hallway so no clue if you called the elevator or what direction it was going. Ice machine broken. The only positive was the location; right across from Carnegie Hall, near 57th street subway stop. I would not stay here again, simply for the cleanliness/maintenance issues. Front desk staff friendly.
- 2/5
We were given a room that was not only not clean it was smelly and had mold on the bathroom sink and no towels on the bathroom, we asked to get another room and it was worst. We ended up with a very small stall shower, very crowed too, and also mold in the bathroom sink too. I would have preferred a tub and shower, I was very disappointed this time, we had stayed before at this hotel with a totally different experience than this time, I would not recommend this hotel anymore.
- 4/5
The hotel is in a very good location. It is a bit old but overall clean and has the essentials. We had a problem with the air-conditioned it has blowing cold air and the temp has low so we needed warm. Called the receptionist and they offered to send someone that did not come and we agreed that would do it the next day, still did not happen. Overall ok experience
- 4/5
Very good
- 3.5/5
Location is excellent, room was clean. Long wait for elevators, staff was unresponsive, had to call a remind several times
- 3.5/5
Large spacious room, good noise insulation. Great location. Very clean. Rather impersonal. Didn’t feel welcomed at reception. Somewhat lifeless, lacking atmosphere.
- 3/5
I like that it was right across the street from Carnegie Hall. And David was very very helpful on the flipside. The rooms are dated. There’s no refrigerator in the room to keep your leftover food. The other thing is I’ll checkout day at 9 o’clock. The housekeeper knocked on the door and then walked in. That was unacceptable.
- 2/5
Customer service not aligned to amount charged.
- 3/5
The room was very clean and the housekeeping staff very helpful. The bathroom was the problem - no lotion, etc. I would expect these amenities in a hotel of this caliber. It was the size of a small closet and the mirror backing was peeling.
- 4/5
Great location, friendly staff and everything else was fine, but the old carpet needs to go, I could definitely smell years and years back, when it was ok to smoke in the room.
- 5/5
The room was very hot! The fan helped but it would have been better if the air conditioning worked!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel unbelievable location. Lifelong new yorkers that now live out of state so we know the city. Central park 2 blocks away, amazing restaurants all in walking distance. Room was very large and spacious but outdated but we didnt care it was clean and the hotel was immaculate and well maintained.
- 3/5
Okay enough but Low key sullen front desk. No one answered housekeeping extension. Slightly busted-ragged towels, loose toilet paper roll dispenser, etc. Came back one night and elevators were malfunctioning
- 4/5
Quick stay, hotel was good
- 5/5
I loved my stay. The staff was wonderful and the hotel was clean, my only complaint was the bathroom was very tiny but everything else was nice. I would book again!

The front desk staff was wonderful, their only saving grace.
- 4/5
I had an important meeting 10 minutes away in the morning. I arrived at 2:00 am and left at 8:00 am. For my purposes this was a great location. Keep in mind that it is not a five-star place. The resort fee was and is annoying but you find them everywhere. If you need a place to sleep in New York City and you want to be close to everything, this is a good place to consider.
- 2/5
Bathroom had hair in it when we arrived and no towels. Also, the soap dispenser did not work. When we told guest services they promised us an upgrade for the last of theee nights, but it was really not an upgrade. Smaller bathroom and very similar room. It seems that the communication between staff as to what was happening was also poor and when I told guest relations how disappointed I was, they kind of just shrugged their shoulders.
- 3/5
We visited this hotel in April for 2 nights. The hotel lobby and bar/restaurant was magnificent, the live music was great. However, our room was not as clean or well-kept as we had hoped. The carpet had a huge wet spot on it that we assume was from housecleaning, but not letting it dry fully before putting more guests in the room was not ideal. We had to walk around it the whole time so our feet/socks did not get wet. The shower drain was clogged & pooled water in the tub when we showered. Our room did not have towels upon arrival, but they were delivered quickly when we let hotel staff know. Overall we expected a bit higher level of our actual in-room experience for the location & price.
- 5/5
Had a wonderful stay with my daughter and would recommend. Close to a lot of attractions, relatively clean and the staff was wonderful.
- 4/5
The location of this hotel is what I liked the most. You have the subway, the 5th ave, Central Park and Times Square all in walking distance. The cleaning staff is incredibly polite. The only thing I didn’t like that much, is that the room used to have a little smell of humidity.

location and luggage check in except for the lobby the hotel is rundown. the shower curtain is so short it doesn’t reach the tub ledge so the entire floor gets wet with each shower. keep using towels to mop the floor. the shower pressure is insufficient . no vent in the bath just a grill opening in the roof. got a second invoice from hotel even though all prepaid to bookingdot. com. after bringing it to their notice they did revert it.

Location is really good. The hotel is very old. Bathrooms look like very old and is not in good condition. The room very small and all furnitures very old. The breakfast is not good , even you dont have any sandviches. You can take one tea or coffea plus one bakery and one fruit. Even you would like to drink one more coffea you cant.

Great location and very comfortable beds. One elevator was continually down which was hard. Tub stopper was only half effective and rusty coloured water came into tub at some point every time i ran it. Slow for service for extra blankets and pillows and to plunge a toilet (7 hours later). There also is an extra $40/night fee which was not advertised until we were checking in. non-negotiable apparently.

In general, most staff members are unfriendly at best, and most are almost hostile. I’ve never seen anything quite like it.

Easy walk to met theater Central Park Very nice staff
- 3/5
Lobby and bar area are beautiful. Our room was a king standard. It looked like there was water damage in and around the bathroom because the bathroom door and outer molding was peeling and pretty much destroyed. Stains on the bench in the room. Bed was clean and presentable. Bathroom counter, sink and toilet were clean. Maid service was great. A decent place to stay that is close to Central Park, time square and other tourist areas.
- 3.5/5
Great staff, great location, it’s close to everything: uptown, downtown, museums, theaters, restaurants, supermarkets, and shopping. …when only one elevator is working to access your floor there are long lines and long wait. Lower floors can get more than reasonable street traffic noise.
- 1/5
AC vent dust AC not working Dust in corners Drawer handles loosen Bathroom lightswitches damaged Tiles in the showers dripped mold ( in between) when water washed down them. Carpet old, not very clean and corners lifted. Lighting in room very dim. Lamp on right of first bed upon walking in, did not work. They did change bulb upon request. Very dated not worth the rate we were charged.
- 4/5
Although there was a refrigerator in the room, there were No microwaves to reheat leftovers. Maybe not a big deal to some people. Other than that everything else was great. Almost always the meals were more than generous at most restaurants and you were not able to finish some. They made a great snack the next day and the Starbucks next door was more than happy to warm them up for you.❤️

Location, staff The room decor was not very modern; the "Indulgence" hour was quite hyped up but wasn't anything special; plugs weren't near the bed for charging

No resturant Wifi dificult to get with our paying up
- 3/5
Even though this is a non-smoking hotel, as soon as I left my room, the hallway reeked of cigarette smoke. I told the front desk and they didn’t seem to care. I was also given a voucher for a complimentary breakfast at their coffee place, Central Market. The cashier was extremely rude and didn’t want to help me. If I do return, I’d definitely skip this coffee place and go to Starbucks on the corner.
- 2/5
Bar/ restaurant not open Sunday and Monday. No breakfast or lunch options. No coffee maker in the room. Rooms need maintenance. Shades broke. Hairdryer was horrible. We asked for a new one 2 days in a row. Never received one.
- 2/5
The rooms are comfortable and spacious, and generally well maintained. However, the air conditioning is unacceptable, and in the New York heat it becomes unbearable, it is simply not possible to stay or sleep in the room. There is no minibar, a basic amenity, which makes it difficult to manage even basic needs such as having cold drinking water. There is no provision of drinking water and no service that supports the room or the overall stay. I would also note that the staff is not welcoming, and the lobby and its service feel more like an information desk at Grand Central than a hotel. All of this comes at excessively high prices, comparable to a five star hotel, while in reality it barely deserves 2.5 stars. Not recommended.
- 4/5
The hotel was great, only downfall was that for part of our stay, one elevator was down, and there were too many guests for just one elevator, so there were constantly lines to wait to get to your rooms. With the height of the hotel and being on a higher floor (14th), it wasn't doable to take the stairs constantly, so waiting in line was what we ended up doing. Other than that, it was a great place, and I would recommend it if the elevator is fixed.

After housekeeping skipped my room on the first day, I called no less than 8 times the day after to BEG for housekeeping service. They never showed up. This cycle occurs with absolutely every single minor transaction within this hotel. It was an absolutely miserable experience. Even after asking multiple times to speak to someone in management to inform them, no one ever followed up. Buyer beware. Bankruptcy seems inevitable for this hotel.

It’s a clean place in a good location with zero frills. No coffee maker, no water bottles, no fridge in the room (which I needed for medical purposes), a broken television AND a broken phone line. The lights in the bathroom were flickering. Sent a repairman at midnight but nothing was repaired over my three night stay.

The hotel was very nice and we really enjoyed our stay here. Reception staff were very friendly and we got a room upgrade which was a nice surprise. The elevator is small so expect to have to wait 2-3 trips to squeeze in. I rated low for cleanliness because our room had a dirty baseball hat and a wrapper on the floor next to the tv when we checked in. There was also a dirty shirt behind the bench that my daughter found which made us question the cleanliness of the rest of the room. Beds were comfy and the sheets seemed clean though! Cafe downstairs was very good as well!

The front desk associate was very welcoming. We were able to get our room earlier than check in which was great because it was raining outside. The lobby was very nice. We didn't go to the bar lounge because it opens at 5pm and closes by 11pm and we had plans that evening so on our way back to the hotel from Lincoln Center we stopped at a bar for a nightcap knowing the bar would be closed. The bar lounge had a very nice vibe. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Hotel was in a good location, close to Central Park, Times Square and Broadway theatres. It was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a little dated and the water pressure for the shower was poor.

I always stay here in Boston. This time I had all my family here too. 4 rooms. Hotel staff was great and super helpful from check in to check out. Front desk saved me twice this trip. Valet parking is worth every penny. Fast and super helpful. Location is central to a lot of Boston sites. Easy walk to lots of things.

Did sample the foods. Cost too much. This place is for the rich.
- 1.5/5
Location Staff were horrendous. My £50 shorts went missing from my room, was advised that it was accidentally sent to their linen cleaner. I was told I would be updated, but still haven't heard anything 6 days later. They also do not provide any glassware in the rooms, I had to go to the reception to ask for a glass, they gave us a plastic pint glass. Not really what you would expect considering the price of the hotel

Great location, 2 blocks from Central Park and about a 10 minute stroll to Times Square or Rockefeller centre. Plenty of subway stations nearby too. Rooms were decent. Our room smelled of smoke as soon as we arrived. It got worse in the middle of our first night, and a strong smell of weed as well as loud chatter next door kept us awake. I had to get up at 2am to report the noise and smell to the front desk. Security came up to sort out the noise for us (thanks Mike) but nothing was done about the smell... We were told a room change would be possible the following day but nobody approached us about this. No apology or even acknowledgement was given, and no refund or discount or compensation of any kind was offered for a very poor experience. Apart from this, water pressure was very weak in both the shower and taps, and the tv didn't work. It was all quite disappointing as I had stayed here 6 years ago on a work trip and found it to be nice, it has obviously been mismanaged somewhere along the way since then.

I was not told about the breakfast voucher, but saw the notice about a voucher in the little shop right off the lobby. I was told I needed to hve gotten a voucher at check in. I did not receive one, nor was I told about them.As I was about to walk away, the hostess said she would give me one. It was the same way with water. I needed to ask the person at the desk for water before having any in the room..

We are returning customers so we are pleased to stay at Park Central when we come to NY; the location is great, rooms have reasonable space and the hotel is quite nice. We had breakfast included in our booking but breakfast is more of a small choice of items taken to go ( like coffee bagel and a piece of fruit, not really a normal continental breakfast. It was ok but it would be nice to have known beforehand
- 3.5/5
Only 1 elevator working. 20 mins per ride. Room narrow. Heat in the hotel too high, room extremely hot. Left windows open to cool room. Hotel's gave oscillating fan, only blew warm air. Chromecast not working. Spent 3 hrs on phone with cust. support.

Extra charges for incidentals, lounge was so loud and it echoed through the list area, we stayed in floor 4 and you could hear all ppl from the lounge after hours. No return calls from guest services after weird charges, and I left several voice mails.

So you save a dollar a day by making the soap , shampoo, and conditioner squirt tiny drops at a time but by the time a guest has stood there for several minutes pumping and pumping just to get enough to wash their hair, you've more than lost it in guest perception of the hotel. Not to mention the likely cost of the water, just standing there pumping. It feels very much like the sort of thing where you pinched a penny but helped your guest in the eye, leaving them with a very sour perception of the hotel.
- 4/5
Hotel is clean but its starting to show wear and tear. Needs some TLC. Rooms are a good size compared to other NYC hotels of similar price point.
- 5/5
The hotel was perfectly located by Carnegie Hall. We were able to walk to our destinations.
- 4/5
Very central, easy walk to Central Park, Broadway shows, restaurants etc. Elevator is a issue, we took the stairs a lot. Room was clean but run down. Overall we had a good experience.
- 3.5/5
The room was pretty big, way bigger than I'm used to in NYC. The gym was really big and nicely furnished too. The wifi is slower than ADSL 25 years ago. It's difficult to have an elevator

The location Staff were entitled, like they were doing me a favor by staying there. Especially the front dest staff. I was greeted with a curt “What?” When checking in. Another occasion the clerk could not be bothered to look up from her cell phone. The convenience store staff all but ignored us when we were purchasing ridiculously overpriced drinks.
- 5/5
Location The room is good
- 4/5
Only complaint is at the end of our trip. I was an obviously tired woman, with a young son in tow, and at 6am in the lobby with multiple suitcases, I let the friendly concierge gentleman give me a bottle of water, a seat, and the promise of a hotel car to take me to LaGuardia "at the same price as a yellow cab!". I was relieved for the help and didn't question. Suprise, surprise, the car service was twice as expensive which I learned at the end of the trip. Don't be midwestern naïve like me. Have a good stay!!
- 4/5
Perfect location!!
- 4/5
I had a good stay overall, but one of the elevators wasn't working, so there were long lines and waits for the elevator. Additionally, because I was there from Sunday to Monday, the hotel restaurant wasn't open which was disappointing. The price was right though, the room clean, and the fitness center great.
- 4/5
No breakfast!

The location was perfect, we walked everywhere.

My favorite part about this hotel was definitely the location! Close to everything! You could walk to so many things amd the subwayvwas literally around the corner. The staff was super friendly. My only complaint was not having a fridge in the room.

No heat in my room, froze my b off until they finally came through with a room heater. Also, as far as I know there was only 1 elevator working.

- 1/5
terrible service, room and bathroom are extremely dirty!
- 4/5
Our housekeeper was pleasant. Check in was robotic, no greeting. I was informed of a $40/day Destination Fee on departure. There was no mention of what it meant. Late on our four day stay, we noticed quick, brief information on the Destination Fee while riding the elevator. It was not possible to read it completely, the screen changed so fast.
- 4/5
The hotel is in the perfect location! For that reason alone we would stay again. However there was only one working elevator for all 26 floors and that was horrible. It took so long to get up for down (we were on floor 16 so couldn’t even do the stairs). If that’s fixed, this is the perfect hotel for a NYC trip! Steps away from the subway, Central Park and Times Square! So many places like Starbucks, Premier Deli, Dunkin and endless gift shops around the property. We stayed with our kids and it was such a great area to be with them.
- 5/5
Good! But no parking
- 1/5
Mirror light didn't work in the bathroom upon arrival. Only one elevator worked for the entire hotel (apparently this has been going on for years). Had to wait in line 20 minutes to get on an elevator almost every time. Booked through this site and got a good price, but paid at the hotel only to discover a week later that they charged me $160 for food I never ordered and apparently $240 for receiving a package (that never happened). Great location and pretty lobby, but everything else about it I'd give negative stars if I could. Please do you research before booking here! Very scammy.
- 3/5
Great location Rooms were decent Cons During my two day stay there was only one elevator working making the wait time for guests ridiculous. The elevators were small only 6-7 people could fit and that depended on how much luggage each person had. Thankfully i was on the 4th floor but the stairwell was creepy and i didn't feel secure. Not to mention trying to carry suitcases up long flights of stairs. There was no mention of this at check in and no update to guests on when it would be fixed. The resort fee is a joke. At least most hotels provide bottle water and at $40 thats the least that coukd have been apart of the resort amenities. The wait time for checking was long, as there were only two agents and there were bus loads of guests.
- 2/5
We have stayed at Park Central several times in the past. This stay was very different. We could definitely tell that it had gone downhill. When we arrived, the room did not have cups or glasses to fix a drink, no coffee maker, or trash can. The lock to the bathroom door was broke and there was a leak in the shower faucet. However, staff was very friendly and apologized. You can tell it’s under new management.
- 5/5
All good,,
- 3/5
extremely tired looking rooms with cracked vanity with big gaps; housekeeping is not thorough at check in time (found a bag of forgotten clothes as well as used train ticket inside drawer). Phone was disgustingly dirty and dusty.
- 4/5
Great spot, great rate, nice rooms especially for the price. My only complaint was the elevators - a couple of them were out of service so it sometimes took forever to go up or down. Otherwise, would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great location, and super clean.
- 4/5
Volvería a llegar sin duda, solo verificaría que funcionaran los elevadores.
- 3/5
I saw Maria again at check out and she apologized for the management and assured me that this is not the norm. Everyone else we came in contact with with the exception of the manager at the desk was very nice and professional.
- 3/5
Overall the stay was average, nothing stands out as special from it. The only issue we had was that they tried to accuse us of vapping in the room and tried to add on an additional 500 fee because of it. My friend had used a steamer for her dress, and that set off their little hidden device in the room. It was really upsetting when the manager brought it up because she was very condescending about it. Because of that it the service left a bad taste. I feel the manager and front desk staff could have handled it better. Especially because no one had smoked it vapped but they were very undermining and rude about how they brought it to our attention.
- 2/5
The rooms worn out, no ventilation working so smelled and stiffness in the room. One lift broken in our wing so literally takes 10-15min to get down or up to the room.
- 4/5
The room was clean and extremely spacious for Manhattan, but it was missing a lot of key amenities—no coffee, fridge, etc. The cleaning staff was great and always made sure to get to my room, regardless of what time I headed out. The only true complaint I had is that only one elevator was in service, making wait times very long. Otherwise, I had a lovely stay.
- 4/5
The bad: Only a single elevator working, no mini-fridge or even plastic cups, lack of staff at front desk (expected these days in NYC). Felt like we spent a lot of time waiting. Thermostat would not stay at temperature we set, but it was still comfortable.

- 5/5
The hotel lobby is beautiful. The room is big for NYC standards. This is our favorite place to stay due to the location. Close proximity to the parking garages, quick walk to Central Park or the theatre.
- 4/5
We were disappointed that we had no refrigerator in the room. My husband is a diabetic and has meds to be refrigerated. Went down to ask to have one brought up. Manager that was on got us an upgraded room. We were down to one elevator and long lines but this was not the staff issue. Enjoyed our stay !!!!
- 4/5
I also wasn’t informed about any of the amenities, which would’ve been helpful during my stay. On the positive side, the housekeeping staff was very kind and did a great job keeping the room clean and taking out the trash. I accidentally left my laptops in the room and everything was exactly where I left it when I returned, which I really appreciated. Overall, a clean and comfortable stay, but better communication would make a big difference.
- 5/5
It was so great thank you!
- 5/5
This was such a beautiful hotel and the room was spacious. Only thing was the elevators were not working properly other than that I would definitely stay here again
- 2/5
There was only 1 elevator working which can only hold 6 people . They gave away our reservation and then they gave us a room with the toilet dirty and the bed wasn’t really made . They moved us to another room and the plumbing was horrible. The water would sit on the sink , the shower wasn’t great. The tv wasn’t working well either that we have to get someone to fix it in the middle of the night. I will never stay there again
- 4/5
The hotel is in a great location. We were able to walk to restaurants and the theater. We did need to take a subway to Pennsylvania Station.
- 4/5
The staff were very nice and helpful. We had an issue with our bathroom sink and it was addressed quickly and efficiently.
- 3/5
Housekeeping wouldn’t always give use clean washcloths (even though we got fresh hand and bath towels), so we had to call to get clean ones. There is a $45/night resort fee on top of the price you pay on Expedia. This allows you to get 10% of a few restaurants in the hotel. I came to Manhattan to tour the city sites and restaurants-not stay and eat in theirs. So not happy that this isn’t made clear when booking your reservation!

The people here in the hotel that I speak to with my mouth do not have control over the system- and the customer suffers. And in my case particularly- since I was recuperating from an illness and I THOUGHT that having staff and a concierge and amenities would be helpful. Instead they got almost no sleep and constantly reoccurring headaches problems issues with lost communications. It was awful and I’m moving to another hotel.
- 3/5
Have stayed here for years. Haven’t though in a couple years and our room was worn out. It was 2-star at best. Too bad because great location.
- 3/5
Also, they charge you $100 resort fee at arrival. Be careful!

Chromecast doesnt work.
- 2/5
The google chromecast doesn't work. Waited for multiple people to try and connect it only to be told by the front desk at the end of the second day that it being ohased out and doesn't work in a majority of the rooms. Which would have been fine had i not waited for people to come and "fix it".
- 5/5
Amazing area. Close to everything. The hotel could have more amenities/ game room. The cafe downstairs needs to be open longer.
- 4/5
I was concerned about cleanliness given all the recent reviews about filthy rooms, but the room was plenty clean if a bit run down. I had a premier king, which was quite spacious by NYC standards. The two issues I had were the water never got hot in the bathroom and there were crazy lines to go up in the elevator and someone had to let us down in the service elevator because the down elevator was packed to the max each time it came. Shout out to Mariah (MOD?) on Saturday night. She was so helpful to everyone who needed anything. Girl Boss!
- 4/5
The hotel was very clean and staff was very accommodating

If you're looking for location, comfortable beds, larger room options this is the hotel. I booked queen double corner room & it was perfect. Location from Central park, dining options & tourist spots places this hotel in the perfect location and price range.

When I checked in I told the front desk staff that my daughter would be back before me to get the room key because the room wasn’t ready. I added my daughter’s name to the registration and left to do things in the city. When my daughter and her best friend got back to the hotel to get the key at 3-4pm the front desk clerk told her she couldn’t give it to her because she wasn’t 21 and they had a bar there . After they resolved that problem stating that my daughter was there for a college tour of Pace University the next day and not to underage drink , the front desk person assumed that my daughter and her friend were lesbians and needed to be switched from a king size bed to two doubles . First, who is sleeping and how we are sleeping is none of their business and second there are kids all over the hotel. The front desk person should have had these conversations with me at check in, not my 17 year old daughter and her 18 year old friend who lives in NYC. Very disappointed!
- 5/5
The housekeeping staff was incredible-- I've never been to a hotel room that was as impeccable as this one. I had gotten a fairly cheap rate (last-minute booking) and had read the reviews about the cleanliness, but I didn't believe it until I saw it. Couldn't recommend it enough-- the staff was friendly, the location was ideal, and the rooms were spotless. I will definitely be staying here next time I visit.
- 3/5
The staff was super friendly, but for the price the bathroom had cracks, the area where the full length mirror was located was dark. Also the room wasn’t very clean and not having secured WiFi almost made me miss a whole day of work.
- 5/5
Great and courteous staff

It’s a tired old hotel in need of a renovation. Doors didn’t close right, very load, could hear the rooms around us, fridge seal didn’t close right so useless, the hotel ran out of clean towels, stain on pillowcase reported yet never replaced. Sadly location not worth it. Would choose elsewhere.

Hotel was nice, but the rooms are small. When we initially walked in we realized a few things were already broken like the bottom of the bathroom door almost looked chewed. And the bathtub overflow drain, was completely taken out, and was just laying on the tub floor. The bathroom floor also did not look clean by any means, just hair and grime on the floor.( this is before we even settled in so wasn’t our hair). Throughout our stay the air was set at 65, but I swear it was hotter than that, we tried turning it down, but that was as low as it went. And I am always cold, and for me to want it below 65 was not normal. Everything else was good.

Great experience until I was charged for smoking in the room which I never did. I always smoked outside the hotel. I’m on camera. My clothing may have smells like cigarettes.

On the positive, taxis right outside, great restaurants nearby and steps from the subway and Central Park which we loved.

I was forced to vacate this property at 1:00 AM because the conditions were not only unsanitary but physically unsafe. My Experience: Room 715 (Filth): The room was repulsive. There was makeup residue on lamps, large stains on the carpet, a broken mirror, and hair scattered across the bathroom and bed sheets. Room 1051 (Safety Hazard): After I complained, they moved me here, where it got worse. The door lock was broken, forcing me—a solo female traveler—to barricade the door with furniture just to feel safe. The window also wouldn't close or lock, the phone was dead, and someone was smoking nearby (triggering my asthma). The bed sheets here were also stained and covered in hair. This place is a health and safety violation. I have photographic evidence of everything. I am demanding a full refund and will be reporting these violations to the NYC Department of Health. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

During checkout, Carolyn handled the situation with genuine care and professionalism. She took the time to listen and made sure I felt satisfied with how the issue was addressed. Thank you, Carolyn.

Great!
- 5/5
The room was clean the bed was super comfy all in all it was worth the money.
- 4/5
Room was spacious and clean, although the mattress could use replacing. Good location as it was very close to the play we saw and also close to restaurants.
- 5/5
Great hotel definitely coming back here
- 2/5
Elevator - 20 min wait in the morning Next door room - noisy at 2am. Walls made of paper .. Front desk service phone - 10 min wait and not effective Staff - not very pleasant
- 5/5
Fast check in, clean hotel
- 4/5
Was great as last time only downfall was not enough hot water for ur showers.

Everything Brilliant
- 5/5
Nice rooms, good heating in February stay, courteous and good sense of humor staff, spacious lobby, nice central location, will make reservations again.
- 3/5
The room was not...when I arrived, I couldn't pull down the shades and had to call three times to get someone upstairs. When the heat turned on, it either whistled loudly or knocked like an old fashioned radiator. It woke me up at 3:30 am one morning and I turned the heat off because it was the only way to sleep. The bathroom door did not lock. The toilet paper holder was broken. The room was just a little gritty. The elevators are slow; not big enough and I had to wait frequently for 2-3 elevators to go by because there wasn't enough room to get in. Overall, you can't beat the location...everything I was interested in doing was within 25 minutes. But, the actualy time in the hotel was not terrific. If you did a renovation, you could charge more money!
- 4/5
Staff were amazing! Room was more run-down than expected
- 3/5
Room condition seemed beat up. Heat was so loud and constantly running making it hard to sleep. Not enough towels in our room. Not as nice and clean as I remember from when I stayed in 2018
- 5/5
Comfortable bed Quiet room Good value
- 4/5
Great staff
- 4/5
The bathroom is decent and the bed is good. The trim all over the room is damaged and you can noticed the edges of the room are not fully clean but for the price it’s ok.
- 5/5
Room was clean, comfy and we enjoyed the hotel bar.
- 5/5
We arrived four hours before check in and the hotel allowed us to leave our luggage. The front desk staff was very friendly. Our room was spotless and we had a nice city view. Great, convenient location and reasonably priced.
- 5/5
Clean room, very comfy bed n pillows. Very nice and calm room color, carpet making it a warm calm enviroment….very very relaxing decoration unlike many hotels in nyc. Bravo for that!!
- 5/5
Nice location, room was spacious. Nice blacked out curtains and very quiet room.
- 5/5
Staff was excellent.
- 1/5
As a travel agent, I wouldn’t recommend this to clients. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this to family or friends either. The check in staff was rude. The rooms are very old and neglected. The only thing that seems to be maintained is the lobby entry area. Once you’re past that, it’s not great. Very disappointed with the stay.
- 5/5
As always, great accommodations in a central location. Great staff and wonderful rooms.

The location was excellent… The staff were very helpful… Our room was just lovely… We had two big queen size beds nice bathroom. Everything was lovely.
- 4/5
Room was spacious bed was comfortable but room and corridors looked worn out. Water pressure in shower was not good
- 5/5
The hotel is beautiful...very clean and stylish. Staff are lovely and willing to help (apart from 1 receptionist who would kill her 2 smile) but overall we had a lovely time.
- 4/5
great staff.
- 5/5
The hotel is quite good, you can't complain for the price.
- 5/5
everyone was so helpful. We had to depart early due to the storm and they couldn't have been more helpful. I will definitely stay again!
- 5/5
we have stayed here 4 or more times. I love this location, the lively lobby bar area and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
good service....changed our room without a problem
- 5/5
Excellent service, accommodating and comfortable
- 4/5
We like staying at the Park Central Hotel particularly because of its location. It was central to everything we had scheduled for our stay in New York. The staff is friendly and that is a big plus.
- 5/5
Very good place

The staff was extremely pleasant and The hotel receptionist gave us excellent choices to eat at.

Clean room and nice stuff, amazing location
- 5/5
All of the above
- 5/5
Always great experience
- 5/5
Helpful & inviting staff. 10/10 recommend. Will be back!
- 1/5
The room looks cheap (no refrigerator, no tea pot/coffee pot/boiler). Only has TV, drawer, and a bed. Only standing plastic shower
- 3/5
When we arrived we were told the hotel was booked up so they switched us to the next hotel WESTHOUSE. The breakfast was good and the room was nice it was just a bit outdated. Staff was very nice! Also theres a fitness fee for $45 per day.
- 4/5
Location, location. location...The best thing about the hotel was its location. It was just a few blocks from everything. The rooms and hotel were just okay. The beds were comfortable and the room was warm (we traveled in December), but the room could use a little maintenance. We had a corner room with plenty of windows, but not the great views we expected (mainly the buildings across the street). The staff was friendly. The only complaint, and it is a big one, is the elevators, or lack there of. There are not enough elevators to serve the number of rooms and guests. This often meant waiting in line for the elevator, up and down. Because of the elevator issue, I would probably not recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Staff makes up for small issues with the facilities
- 1/5
No enough staff , check in poor / noisy room / tired room / no amenities
- 4/5
Receptionist wasn’t that helpful no information nothing just handed over key . I request for crib there wasn’t any crib .
- 5/5
The hotel staff were so friendly, accommodating and fun! Seriously, we had a great time chatting with the bartenders, who made the best drinks, as well as the staff working in the lobby area. The room was very nice and spacious, clean, and the bed was so comfortable that I just wanted to sleep for hours. I found the perfect parking garage located a half a block away for $30 overnight parking. I reserved the spot through a parking app and am so glad that I did. Otherwise, the parking would have been $68 a night. All-in-all, you will not find a better hotel in this area for the price, accessibility to everything, and a very comfortable stay. I would also like to mention that we did not experience anything we read in the unfavorable reviews about this hotel. People complained about the elevators not working or taking a long time to come, but they immediately opened every time we were ready to get on. The hotel staff stated that during the holiday rush, it was extremely busy, so with a fully booked hotel, the elevators were working overtime!
- 5/5
Very nice front staff - Carmelo - great!; Jamie - great; Salim - great! Matt - so helpful! clean, neat room;
- 5/5
Emmanuel aka Manny was the front desk clerk, he was absolutely amazing. He was very kind, friendly and he went out of his way to my stay great!
- 4/5
Central location. Next to the Carnegie Hall, a short walk to the Central Park and the time square.
- 1/5
Not to mention the AC does not work in the winter, we were HOT the air was stale, cleaners kept turning off the ventilation fans while we were gone all day. I had to buy a box fan and diffuser to provide some life to the air in the room. The phone didn't work, only speakerphone. The toilet flusher came off the chain, luckily I know how to fix that, and they were extremely stingy with towels. Oh one more thing. I called to see if we could get some silverware, they said no even though I offered to come get it from one of the restaurants or coffee bar Still no. Had to walk 2 blocks in ~30 degree weather. Chromecast also required an hour of troubleshooting because it was hooked up wrong behind the tv and also kept going out.
- 5/5
Great spot
- 4/5
Not enough staff members to serve the guests (lobby). Staff members not friendly.
- 3/5
Convenient location, avg cleanliness (bathroom smelled like piss, there was garbage behind the dresser from past guests), more than usual wear and tear. Just bring an air freshener and enjoy the cheap rates.
- 4/5
Room was clean, slightly drafty. Concierge was fantastic. Matt helped with dinner and sightseeing ideas. Staff was kind and helpful. I would have liked water glasses in the room.
- 1/5
While the room was an acceptable size, it was not clean. There was visible mold in both the sink and the shower, and we were not provided with the correct number of towels or washcloths. Had we had other options, we would have left immediately. I rarely leave detailed reviews, but I feel it’s important to share this experience so future guests know what to expect. I strongly recommend not booking this property.
- 4/5
Room was large, house keeping staff were friendly and always happy to assist. Location was ideal
- 1/5
Room was not ready and smelled when checked in. Needs update
- 2/5
Staff is limited. Check in took forever. Only one elevator worked out of 4. The room was booked for people and only two towels were provided. Took two nights to get pillows and towels requested. The paint is chipping in the room. The mirror was falling apart. Looked unsafe. Trash all over the lobby restaurant floors and tables.

Best hotel I’ve stayed in in NYC! Everything was perfect
- 3/5
PPO: very close to everything. Time Square, 5th ave shopping etc….

When notifiying staff about the water situation. They said someone would be up soon. No one ever came. Thank goodness we finally had hot water in the morning.

We recently stayed at Park Central Hotel. When we arrived for check in, the employee at the front desk told me that they “upgraded” us to a different location. I asked what this upgrade is, as we specifically booked this hotel for its location. He informed me that we had been “upgraded” to Margaritaville in Times Square. I explained that this isn’t an upgrade and we don’t want to be moved, as we booked this hotel for a reason. He then went to get a manager that had a negative attitude the second she started talking to us. Basically saying we move to Margaritaville or we don’t have a room. No apologies, no sense of caring whatsoever. We explained that we booked months ago, and it wasn’t our fault if they overbooked the hotel. The manager then went on to blame it on reservations and that they randomly pick guests to be relocated. I then asked her for the phone number for reservations so I could touch base with them. She wouldn’t give it to me and told me to look it up online. Then begrudgingly handed me a business card with the information after I pointed out how rude she was acting. Waited on hold for reservations for awhile. In the meantime we asked if there are any rooms available. Even if they don’t have a room with two double beds, like we booked. The manager said they only have king rooms available. So we said fine, we will take it and just make it work. She then said they no longer had king rooms available either. After a very long back and forth, one employee, Mariah,

Easy access to subway and Central Park
- 3/5
No towels in room. Called twice in 2 hours, told it would be escalated. Never arrived until we were out much later so we had to shower and dry ourselves off with clothes. Large crack in shower in the covering to the window so the bldg outside could see in. Put plastic over it to cover. Also, on a very busy holiday weekend the lounge was closed on Sunday. Disappointing. Positive: front desk staff was very polite and lobby was clearn, and festive. Good approximation to Times Square.
- 2/5
Staff was nice but they only had one person checking guests in and took a long time. We had to wait a long time for the elevator. The elevators were small and people crammed in there because they didn’t want to wait. We ended having to take the service elevator. The rooms were smaller than I expected also.
- 2/5
Elevator not working, no hot water in shower, only 1 towel in room. But great location.
- 3/5
We did take into consideration that it was busy season. We checked in at 6pm, had booked a superior room with high floor city views. We got to our room which was dirty (paper on floor, sink not clean) and no view. After inquiring we were told our room was given away earlier and the hotel was sold out. We had to check out at noon the next day and check back in at 4 with a higher floor but still not high enough for city views. Room cleaner, the heat stayed on all the time unless I turned it off every 2 hours, keeping it a toasty 76 degrees. Front desk staff was disgruntled and made unkind comments about new guests checking in while I was waiting to check out. They did wave my destination fee (40$/night plus tax), I would not stay there again. The location was great though.
- 3/5
A/c in room didn’t work, tv channels didn’t work, several times we had to call room service to get towels or other supplies for the room
- 3/5
The heat did not work.
- 2/5
Check in and using the elevator were terrible. Sometimes the elevators came down full, we had to wait several more minutes. Check in there were only 2 front desks and a huge line
- 2/5
5 days visit, days 1 and 2 only had 1 of the 2 elevators in our tower working (no advance message to guests checking in though it wasn’t functional when we checked it), didn’t realize there was an issue until morning #2 waited 30 minutes on floor 12 for an elevator, always full so we had to walk down 12 floors; Day 3 no WiFi for half the day; Day 4 evening had fire alarms going off several times during the night … 4am …. (after going to the lobby, was informed a water leak on floor 16 was dripping into the alarm system and causing the alarms). Nice people….. but the answer always seems to be “we’re working on it). Great location, but is it too tired?
- 2/5
This was one of my worst experiences in a hotel recently. The rooms were dirty and outdated. Broken things in the room, dirty bed sheets, horrible service. Every night we had request additional towels because they would only leave 2 in the bathroom every time they cleaned the rooms, although it was 4 of us. Manager was rude when I brought those things up. Our flight was cancelled due to bad weather, and hotel refused to allow us to stay an extra night, telling us they were completely booked. Basically through us out with 2 small children. Never what here again. Beware
- 4/5
The hotel was in perfect location! Easy access to subways and also very walkable to a few places. Perfect for a quick getaway. Only downside to this hotel was the aircon fan that keep turning on and off by itself, despite taking it off auto - had to turn it off completely during the night. But besides that, would definitely be back.
- 3/5
It was a good stay. Although we requested a blanket to sleep and it didn’t come until the follow morning so that wasn’t great
- 1/5
The bathroom tub was brown and moldy, the room was not clean. Very dirty, very disappointed in my stay for a $400 room!
- 5/5
Room was in good condition. Staff were helpful
- 2/5
The housekeeping came into our room without knocking 3 times starting at 8am! We also had no towels and had a really hard time getting some to our room. The AC unit in our room was very loud as well and made lots of weird noises.
- 1/5
Hotel room was outdated. Bathroom door warped and damaged. Toilet does not flush properly.
- 1/5
On top of that, there were hidden fees ($200 for destination fee ) that were never clearly disclosed through Expedia, which felt misleading and unfair. The hotel elevators were another nightmare—small, overcrowded, and only one of the two was functioning, causing even more delays and inconvenience. We often ended up taking the stairs. The room itself was far from relaxing. The noise level was terrible; we could hear full conversations, kids playing, and TV music from the next room as if they were inside ours. There was absolutely no soundproofing, which made it very hard to rest. Overall, this hotel is absolutely not worth the price. I hope Expedia stops recommending properties like this because the experience was stressful, inconvenient, and very underwhelming. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.
- 1/5
Horrible!!! Only one elevator worked the entire time. You would have to wait at least 30-45 minutes at anytime during the day. The shower never was hotter than luke warm. The view was of a brick wall and not to mention they put us in a classic double when I reserved and paid for a deluxe 2 queen. They then tried to tell me that it was 2 queens as if I have never traveled before in my life. The tv rarely worked and don’t even think about getting quality help from front desk! There are many great hotels in the city this is barely a 2 star.
- 3/5
1st room, no heat. 2 nd room light fixtures missing from ceiling. Staff…seemed annoyed by anything you asked of them. Location great!!!
- 5/5
Very convenient to subway and Central Park.
- 4/5
The not great: room was small and a little beat up, chipped paint, rug looked dirty. Bed was ok, seemed smaller than the queen we booked. Hot water for the shower was an issue, we took cold showers several times, not ideal when it’s 30 degrees out. Elevators were slow and broken at times, only two small ones for our side of the hotel. 4 stars for the location.
- 5/5
Didn’t try it
- 1/5
I was charged $500 and accused of smoking in our room. I am not a smoker and there was no smoking at all in my room. Very disappointed to be accused of this with zero evidence or explanation.
- 5/5
Everything seems more business like then personable. I understand but help keep it fresh
- 1/5
Very disappointed in this hotel. We had booked weeks ahead but they had no rooms available to me and many others. The front desk was rude and not helpful. Will never book here again.
- 5/5
Staff was incredibly friendly
- 2/5
Transferred to an adjoining hotel in an “upgrade.” Certainly not an upgrade. Room was outdated and tired. I’ve stayed at the Park Central probably 10 times in the past 15 years. Never again
- 3/5
Rooms could have been cleaned way better. The mirrors dirty, floors not vacuumed, tooth paste on the bath room vanity . But the worst was elevators.. we got stuck in one , they have 4 but only 2 for guest. It was horrible waiting to actually get on one.
- 4/5
Great room. Except it was too hot & we could not cool the room down.
- 4/5
Staff very helpful, great location however had two rooms, first room was two small for a family of 4.We only had 3 towels between us each day. Second room had no hot water for showering. Hotel bar was only open for one evening.
- 5/5
Front desk staff were very welcoming!! Room was clean, convenient to everything in New York City.
- 5/5
Great stay, great location.
- 3/5
The rooms could be upgraded, I was hoping for a better view since I booked a corner room. The rooms were mediocre. The desk staff was nice and helpful. The lobby could use some better decor.
- 4/5
Perfect location. Ten min walk to Times Square. Staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel and would highly recommend!!
- 1/5
We did not enjoy our stay here. Our room did not have hot water as the shower was broken. The engineer came every day and told the management that he could not fix our room while we were in there. It was recommended for us to switch rooms. Customer service was not a priority for us. When voiced our concerns but the staff was so rude when we asked for help. They did not try to accommodate us at all. It was 20° and we had to take cold showers. At one point, front staff said there was no manager on site. It was strange because housekeeping and engineering said there were rooms available but the hotel front desk said that there were not. We did get to talk to a manager when we checked out of our 5 day trip. He gave us a free night off. We didn’t want a discount we wanted to be treated appropriately during our stay.
- 3/5
Room was cramped -- had to walk sideways between bed and dresser -- but otherwise fine. Staff was very helpful, but their intra-staff communication not too great: due to my own error, I had to book an additional night on check-in day. Was assured that this would be seamless, no need to check out and then check back in. But on the morning of my last day, the desk is calling me to find out why I'm still in the room. Guy on the phone assures me it's all straightened out, but the cleaning crew still busted in on me while I was "indisposed" in the bathroom. All they had to do was talk to each other, but apparently that's too hard. Nonetheless, I'd stay there again.

Room was nice clean with a beautiful view.

Received great service at the Park Central Hotel especially from Customer Service line, housekeeping and doorman. The only thing I do not like about the Park Central is no refridgerator, microwave or coffee machine in the room. It forces you to buy coffee downstairs and it was not open until 6:30 a.m. We love the location and will definitely stay there again though.
- 5/5
Perfect location ,this was my 4th stay with this hotel
- 5/5
………….
- 5/5
Clean room; responsive customer relations staff when our blow driver died on us and easy check-in under the circumstances of snow storm.
- 3/5
Nice room but it took three calls to get towels.
- 1/5
Horrible service. Do not stay here. Check in was supposed to be at 4pm but then they let customers have a late check out of 11pm so our rooms weren’t ready. Manager was extremely rude. Only one front desk worker at check in with 7 people just standing around watching when the line was out the door. Would NEVER stay here again.
- 1/5
We also had cockroaches in our room and nobody seemed to care. They offered no real solution and communicated poorly regarding the situation. Booking this through Expedia was the reason that they were unable to help with the situation. You can stay almost anywhere else for what we paid. I do not recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Great location and nice sized rooms!

- 5/5
Great property in the middle of Central Park, time square. Rockefeller center and diamond district
- 5/5
Check in really slow and staff at check in not too friendly which is a shame coz really like this hotel
- 2/5
I could not shower for 2 and half days no water in the pipes and o rented two rooms
- 1/5
NO water/ hot water - staff didn't care - rooms were generally unclean - water was brown when the water did come back on
- 1/5
My bathroom had long black hairs all over it, as well as on the bed and Camila. The manager brushed me off even after I had asked it to be cleaned horrible experience I would not stay there again.
- 5/5
Great location for visiting NYC on a holiday, but with a price that's not cheap the hotel does not provide bottled water nor coffee maker. Two simple things could make a difference.
- 3/5
Rooms could have been cleaner. Elevator wait times are sometimes long. Staff were very nice
- 5/5
This was the perfect location for our trip to New York City. We found that the staff was friendly, polite, and professional. Just off Central Park, you can see Time Square down the street from the front door of the hotel. We love the location, room size and the condition of the hotel, not to mention how safe it was to get around to Madison Avenue, fifth Avenue and all the fantastic sites we wanted to see. I would highly recommend staying here or their sister hotel next-door WestHouse Hotel. We had the greatest trip to NYC and the perfect stay. Thanks for everything, we will be back.
- 3/5
The rooms were fine. But they must have been short staffed. There was no one available when I checked out so I did the Express check out. I have called 2 times requesting a statement as there are some unexplained charges on my credit card. Have yet to receive a response after 2 weeks.
- 1/5
Paid a fortune for a deluxe queen room, and there’s absolutely no way they were queen beds !! They definitely full size ! Then we had to go to the front desk at 10 pm on the first night as we had no hot water, had to go back down at 6 am and still nothing ! Had 4 of us to get showered and off to scheduled activities we had so finally so therefore I had to purchase a second room just so we could shower !!

Missing some bare hotel necessities such as water, pen, paper. Come on for the price per night!
- 3/5
expensive but poor amenities. Not very client friendly.
- 4/5
Location is perfect
- 2/5
No complementary tea or coffee in the room Three people staying in a room and only two towels stocked in the bathroom And the worst part of our stay, Was that there was only one working elevator at the busiest time on Thanksgiving weekend and we had to take the staircase from the fourth floor up and down for the two nights that we stayed there not to mention one of the guests that was staying with us just recently had a hip replacement I would never book a stay at this hotel, or recommend it to any family or friends.
- 2/5
There was no breakfast provided. The staff was not helpful. We had multiple problems. Arrived on Saturday night and our rooms were not ready until 1am on Sunday but they charged us for Saturday anyway. They said they were waiving a destination charge, but then charged me anyway. When I tried to call, I cannot even get an answer. Scammers. We will never stay there again or recommend it. Paid over 1000$ for 2 rooms for a night we couldn’t even get in for and they would not refund.
- 3/5
Did not eat there; staff ok friendly, hidden “destination fee”, not 4 star
- 5/5
Clean room, great location.
- 1/5
This was a bucket list trip for my sister who is on hospice care and the things we experienced were unsanitary and unsafe even for a "healthy" person. At every turn this hotel was a disappointment and I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. It didn't do any good expressing our concerns to the hotel, so hoping sharing our experience will deter others from booking here to save your trip! There are so many better options in New York where the hotels are not only affordable, but also clean, and helpful. Fun bonus - my sister and I both left with a rash after staying here.
- 3/5
Rooms could use some repairs. Peeling paint, non working fridge and very loose toilet seat, to name a couple specifics. Do not disturb sign wasn’t provided (even after requesting one) so housekeeping tried entering early every morning. Good location and the lobby was pretty. Overall this stay wasn’t terrible, just wish the room had been better for the price paid.
- 4/5
The check in was quick and seamless. The premium room was clean and super comfortable king size bed, good pillows. Fridge in room a plus. The hotel lobby at times was packed with people trying to check or retrieve their bags. It’s great that the hotel offers this service. They people manning the bags were very efficient and professional. The lighting seemed dim throughout the day in the lobby. It’s decorated for Christmas and looks nice. The elevators can take a little while there are 2 and we had a line at check in but it was fine, I imagine certain times of year require more patience, more cheer. We would stay again. Great location for walking to popular places in the city.
- 4/5
Great staff! Super friendly front desk people, the room was nice and looked very clean, except the shower. It looked like they may have forgotten about it, but it happens. Overall great stay!
- 2/5
No soap or toothpaste or water bottle at minimum
- 2/5
I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the carpet. I also ended up with a $1111.56 charge that was not part of the Expedia quote or for the final invoice charges. I have made several attempts to remedy the situation and was given the run around, no response to 24 hour SLA promised, an invalid email.
- 1/5
The hotel staff was not accommodating nor where they apologetic. I left and they refused to reimburse me for the five hours of hell they put me threw. I ended up having to book another hotel , The Standard High Line, at 6:00 am .
- 4/5
we always stay here, even though it is not perfect. But for NYC it is clean and comfortable, and affordable. Great location..being close to concert halls and theater and restaurants.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing, the rooms where clean and the location was great for my vacations with the subway right out the door.
- 4/5
Great location, rooms need updating. Staff were pretty friendly.
- 1/5
When we got there they were in the process of getting our rooms situated. My friend was checking in his room and the front desk person saw no charges on the room but there was a credit card. He decided to just hit charge again for the $600 deposit for a 2nd time. which at this point bounced on the debit card because not only did the hotel put the 1st $600 hold on the card they also charged him for the room amount, which we already pre-paid. They front desk person was rude and unapologetic about the situation and said that someone from billing will fix the issue. so we went upstairs to settle in and shower off the airport germs. Throughout the trip they kept telling us that they were working on the issue and being very dismissive. One of the days they told us that they reversed the charges and and it in now in the banks hands to release the hold on my friends money. after talking to the bank they told a different story and they were still waiting for the hotel to do something about it. on
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel! Spacious, clean room and comfortable bed. Will definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
The location of this hotel is fabulous. We loved being within walking distance to several of the best spots, but just far enough away from the busyness of Times Square. We were very disappointed with the guest services, though. We called once a day about the thermostat and TV in our room not working and never got a resolution in our 6 day stay. We ended up just having to crack the windows in our room because it was so stuffy. We also had a stuffed animal that got taken with the laundry and never returned. The lack of help was super frustrating, but the location of the hotel and ease of moving around helped offset some of our frustration.
- 5/5
Great location! Close to everything.
- 5/5
Old building, but very nice. Very busy and check in line up too long. More staff at check in would help. Rooms need to be renovated as there is a lot of wear and damage. All the hotel staff were very nice and personable. The restaurant and bar in the hotel Twenty Sevens was so nice. The cocktails are amazing and the food is so good, we are happy we had my birthday dinner there. We will definitely stay there again.
- 1/5
The hotel is dirty, the bathroom is extremely cold, and the heater was so noisy that it was impossible to sleep at night. The windows are poor and let in a lot of street noise, the lights keep flickering, and two out of four elevators are broken, so you have to wait 15 minutes just to go downstairs. There isn’t even any soap in the bathroom. The hotel left a very unpleasant impression. I do not recommend it. I didn’t rest — I got tired staying in this hotel.

Would definitely stay here again!

Park Central hotel was a perfect choice for our 3 day stay. Location was convenient to all attractions. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. Staff was very attentive and accommodating. Bathrooms, elevators, and climate control could use some upgrading.

The elevator was a fail. We had to wait 20 min for a elevator

Beautiful hotel, close to everything, great location, good restaurant on site with life music

The room was nice but has some peeling paint on the bathroom frame. The staff were courteous and helpful.

We had a great stay! The room was very spacious and extremely clean, with a nice wall separation between the two beds and a great view. The location was perfect—very close to Central Park , close to Midtown and within easy walking distance to most the main tourist attractions. There’s also a subway entrance right on the corner, which was super convenient. The area felt very safe, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Highly recommended!

The room wasn’t what I expected. Needed to ask for pillows that wasn’t initially in the room.

The location and staff were great. However the rooms are a bit old and need attention.

The knob in the shower kept falling out!! The safe was in the closet, on the floor. TERRIBLE place for it!!!The closet doesn’t have a light!!

Resort fee is an obnoxious money grab. The rooms are fine and staff are friendly, but there are no additional services beyond the basic room.

Front desk struggled to find rooms for everyone checking in. I booked a room with 2 queen beds for 3 adults and they asked if I would settle for a room with 1 bed. We couldn't so we were given a room with 2 double beds. Not a huge deal but I did pay extra for a room with 2 queen beds. Listening to others checking in I could hear their struggles as well. One couple was given a room to find someone else already staying in it when they entered the room. Another family was given one of the rooms they booked but were told they'd have to wait for staff to find the second. This was all about an hour after check in time. Aside from that, rooms are in need of updates/tlc and there was a stain on one of the bed sheets. Room was hot and we couldn't adjust the temperature but were able to crack a window.

Great hotel! Perfect location to subways and restaurants/shops/events!

Amazing experience! Beautiful property, convenient location and accommodating staff!

Room was ok, slightly out dated. Cleaning never came but once. We had to put our trash outside the door. I read on here to check your bill before leaving. $575 charge for smoking fee. We don’t smoke or vape. The front desk person said she would do a courtesy write off. WTH!! It’s not a courtesy, it should not have been on there to begin with. A/c doesn’t work. The location is great and lobby smells nice. That is about it. Probably will not book here again.

no amenities.

Everything and everyone was amazing

The room was dated, with only 2 lamps in the whole room for lighting. The cable TV was intermittent at best. The staff seemed courteous, but never actually took action or called me back on any of the follow up items they promised to correct. Pricing dropped $70 per night as soon as I booked, and they wouldn't do anything as a good will gesture to make it right. Shower water pressure was horrible. The location was nice, but there were a lot of strikes against it. I would caution someone to look around for a better fit

No breakfast offered, room was clean but shower was not

No amenities in the room. Not even bath towels! No coffee maker. They want you to buy their coffee downstairs of course. Room was dirty especially the bathroom. The lounge is nice but expect it to be packed at happy hour. We wanted to have a drink and snack after happy hour, but they had a live one man band playing the drums and singing a terrible song so loudly…we opted to walk 5 minutes down the road for a more relaxing experience and talk. I’ve stayed at this property before and thought it was very nice, but not again. For the money you can find a much better hotel with better service in the same area.
