The attraction here is the historical location, 79 Ok e Street, a classic art deco masterpiece completed in 1932, which was the third tallest building in the world for over 39 years. The property does include a high end roof top bar and top notch restaurant. However, these Venus are not associated with the hotel and staying here won’t grant you special access or discounted rates, which is disappointing. In terms of the room accommodation, here the hotel offers a truly unique experience, the rooms are chic and spacious.

It’s a really nice stay in the wallstreet business. The room is large and clean. The staffs are friendly. We are sensitive about the road noise. When we give a feedback to them, they help us rearrange a quieter room. It’s good to mention the road construction for the information.

Amazing stay

I was very impressed with this set up and the room. It was huge! The coffee every day was excellent. While things like extra towels and blankets need to be requested, the fact that the desk was manned 24/7 was super helpful. You can have housekeeping every day. The staff even took the time to mail some items we forgot after check out. The market on the corner was SO AWESOME and the location was a literal block from the subway into Midtown. We had amazing food within walking distance, breakfast at a Yemen bodega and dinner at a quaint Italian restaurant. I hope they don’t raise the prices here, it worked for both my teenage kid and my elderly mom.

We love Mint house. It’s quiet, clean, super spacious and beautifully styled. Anytime we stay somewhere else in NYC, we wish we would have stayed here. Literally the best

Room was large and really nicely done. Location was great. Supermarket just below the hotel was super convenient and helpful. Subway was 20 steps from hotel. Had a lovely rooftop bar.

Love the Mint. I have stayed there before and will stay there again. Rooms are clean, quiet, well appointed and spacious. The staff is great. Fantastic bar and restaurant

Excellent location - subway entrance across from the hotel seems closed though. It was an easy check-in, spacious room, uncommon for New York, so a definite plus! They were responsive to any questions, and beyond having to request more than one wash cloth, I'd certainly stay again

Spacious, stylish, and quiet (not a given in NYC!). The 2 full bathrooms in the deluxe 1 bedroom King were very handy for our family. We ran out of time to use the gym but it looked very well equipped. Front-desk staff was very pleasant and helpful! Interestingly, there were lots of closets throughout (more than anyone would use during a short-term stay); all the extra room in the bedroom could easily be turned into a second bedroom and it still wouldn't feel crammed. The sofa bed was very squeaky and therefore unusable as-is so we put the mattress directly on the floor. Windows don't open.

First time staying in this area of the city and it was amazing. I found myself discovering incredible places nearby. The staff was also very nice and friendly! I absolutely loved the vibe of this hotel. Each room has a record player and a vinyl you can use. My hotel was big and very clean. Couldn’t have chosen a better hotel for my first solo trip. I 100% recommend and will definitely be staying here again!

Apartments turned into hotel - this place is on of a kind. We stay here when we come as our family of four - where else can you get a 1000 sq foot room with 2 bathrooms, and an entire living space! This is a hidden gem and we most definitely will be returning!

Large room. Well equipped kitchen. Would be good for a longer stay. Prefer a hotel with room service. Key pads in elevator and on room door too clunky. If you want to go keyless, let phone tap be the key.

Was blown away by the space - just the kind of apartment you see in films about Wall St - very well kitted out and supremely comfortable - absolutely loved it! Fantastic shop in the basement also!

Private and safe Scaffolding during construction

The location is fantastic if you want to be close to the financial district, which we did. It's also close to lots of subway stops, so really everything is close by. The staff is very friendly and the room is nice. I don't like the constant need for codes. You need a code to get the elevator to move and then another one for your room. If your hands are full, you'll never make it. Also, I didn't like 2 steps up to get into the bathroom. It's very inconvenient in the middle of the night. It would help if there was some kind of night light in the bathroom. We also did not receive maid service for the 3 days we were there.

The staff is very welcoming and professional. The room very clean. I was disappointed with the bathroom products as they used to be Malin+Goetz and now are substandard. The codes to the elevator and room are way too long and different so challenging to remember. For the price point, I may look at other options when in the city next time.

Overall it’s an excellent hotel with a great vibe, large amounts of space and clean. However some spots were missed in the last clean and when I first got to the hotel, there were hairs on the toilet seat, crumbs on the kitchen floor, sticky residue on the kitchen table that I assume was from spilled soda and a black stain on the floor. But the bed was clean, the room overall was comfortable and I would definitely recommend it.

The TV system is useless. Unless you sign in to a pre-existing account or sign up for one, you can’t get the most basic local channels

The only complaint I have is at about 230 maybe 3:30 in the morning trucks down on the street below made a lot of noise for about an hour. Hard to sleep for a bit but other than that great

The apartment was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. The staff was nice and arranged for us to check in early as requested. When we didn't have enough towels, I sent a message via the booking.com app, the property replied immediately, and housekeeping delivered towels within 30 minutes.

Spacious and stylish apartment in the financial district. Walking distance to ferries for Statue of Liberty, 9/11 memorial, Brooklyn Bridge and near subway to reach midtown and Central Park area. 70 Pine Street is a lovely art deco building now converted into the apartment hotel, cafes, restaurants and rooftop bar. Apartment was very comfortable, well-equipped and quiet. Would definitely stay here again . I had a fall during my visit and it was hard to reach our apartment on crutches. Would be useful to have a wheelchair on the premises to assist access to apartments., Having said that it was easy to hire one online..

The check-in instructions said they don't really do luggage storage, but they do. I ended up using a Luggage Hero (Expo Barber), only a few minutes walk from the property, before checking in. But I got a message shortly before checking out clearly stating that luggage storage is offered (same-day pick-up, of course), so we totally utilized that. Super helpful service and staff! Spacious room (our unit on the 2nd floor) had 2 levels, divided by a few steps - one for the bed and the other for sofa & kitchenette. The unit's bathroom was really spacious too with a pretty big bathtub, a separate shower, and 2 sinks. The kitchenette really had everything - fridge, microwave, electric kettle, coffee maker (drip), plates/bowls/utensils, lots of tea bags (a few different flavors), dishwasher. Towels would've been useful, but there were plenty of paper towels. There was also a pretty big ice machine on the 2nd floor. The AC/heater unit may be a bit on a loud side. It didn't bother us or keep us up at night, but those who are sensitive to sound/noise may find it a tad bit hard to ignore. Our unit had bathrobes. No slippers, so I recommend to byo if you usually wear them indoors.

By far the largest and nicest hotel room I’ve ever experienced in NYC. Wonderful amenities - drip coffee, nice shampoo/confitioner, a record player, water, great water pressure in the shower. A future stay for sure.

There is a great coffee shop and cafe on site along with a high class restaurant and roof top bar. I would highly recommend Mint House / first class experience that really added to our NYC visit .

Room is a nice large size with lots of closet space for all the coats including those items of our 2 kids. Room is well laid out and pretty clean. Only issue for us was water pressure and tub draining slowly. Would stay here again with our family. Just some maintenance needs to be done to keep up the rooms.

This is great building and spacious rooms. Staff is great and responsive. One thing avoid 2nd floor north facing Cedar. Had smoky smell from folks smoking plus all the residential garbage on that st.

Staff was friendly. The room was spacious with all amenities we needed. There is a grocery at the base of the hotel if you want to cook, or plenty of dining options close by. The Wall Street station is conveniently located near the hotel.

I would strongly caution others before booking this property. Our confirmed reservation was cancelled multiple times due to what we were told was a transition to a new booking platform. Even after reconfirming by phone the day before arrival — and having my credit card charged — our reservation was cancelled while we were in the air to New York. Upon landing, we were told there was nothing that could be done except a refund. After hours of calls, escalations, and waiting in the lobby with seven guests on a busy holiday weekend, rooms were eventually “secured,” only for us to be told later that they were confirmed for one night only. The next morning we were required to switch rooms, cancelling our plans and repacking everything. One of the room types we booked (a one-bedroom suite) was also not as advertised. This was a bachelorette trip with 10 people traveling from out of state, and we effectively lost an evening and a morning due to reservation mismanagement that was entirely outside our control. The on-site staff tried to help, but the booking system and lack of coordination made for an incredibly stressful and disappointing experience. I would not book here again.

Later, the problem disappeared as the apartment warmed up and the heaters worked much more efficiently. My stay was in February, which was also a factor in this inconvenience. On the plus side, the location, the basement shop, the spaciousness, and cleanliness are all positives.

How large the room was and with kitchen which I didn’t need but noted good quality of appliances. Shower water pressure good. Clean room. Nice that garage is across hotel and with discount. Dropping off luggage was the worst thing. No place to inloadnat entrance and reception was not clear that the back door would have been better and that the parking garage was there. It was a very windy day in NY and the doors were very heavy and difficult to manage. Clearer instructions could have made check in smoother. Instead it took 30-45 mins! Late for the party. Staff spoke like I was familiar with NYC streets. Finally it was weird that housekeeping hounded us out of there at 11 am. She stood by the door. Hold on to your bonnet miss, just zipping up the baggage.

1) the heater stopped working every night in one of the rooms, we had to ask them to fix it every day. It is important to note that we went during winter time. 2) we had reservations for 4 people and there were only 2 bath towels in the room. 3) on the second day, once houskeeping cleaned our rooms they left no towels in the room. 4) when we requested towels it took more than one hour to receive them, even though the message said we would receive them in 10-15 mins. 5) on our last day, housekeeping did not even service our room. Although, the place is nice and in a good location, I do not recommend it

Always the staff -- Zaire and Thanary are impeccable. Lots of moving parts (and people) when hosting our wedding guests and they both were instrumental in the success of our visit.

It was really spacious for my family of four, the king bed in the room was super comfortable and the deco was very tasteful. The staff at check-in/check-out are awesome too!

The bathroom is just one design mistake after another.

The room was spotless and much bigger than the usual rooms and a great bathroom. No cable provided and it's hard to stream because no streaming service provided. Still all in all a good stay.

Around 11 p.m., we heard the toilet running by itself — again at 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. The next night, the room grew colder. Around 11 p.m., the air conditioner suddenly roared to life on its own. A blast of icy air rushed across the room, circling toward the door as if something invisible had entered. My husband turned it off, but twenty minutes later it came back — louder, stronger, and the cold wind brushed against my face even though every window and vent was sealed. We didn’t speak, but we both felt it — something unseen moving through the air. I opened YouTube and played Kinh Phật (Buddhist chanting). The moment the sound filled the room, the cold stopped. That night, like before, we heard the same water sounds — midnight, 3 a.m., and just before dawn. By 8:45 a.m. on Sunday, we checked out without a word, only relief. A unique property in the Wall Street area. The room is very large, which was a wonderful surprise. Linens were awesome. There was construction on the street and some loud noises periodically which wasn’t great. Nice to have a coffee shop in the ground floor also no restaurant in the hotel but separate restaurants and food options in the building.

The building is spectacular, however it is hard to appreciate it because it is covered up on the outside. The inside is gorgeous tho. The staff what super friendly and helpful. There is a full grocery store around the corner. I would change the curtains, they are hard to open y cover half the window. Other than that, the place is amazing.

The hotel was very hard to find even with the description given. The hotel wasn't what I considered luxury. I have a pet-peeve about rust and dirty air filters.

The rooms are incredibly spacious for NYC. The bed is super comfortable and everything was quiet. The Kitchen is a luxury for a hotel stay, and well-designed. You have a large walk-in closet and a large bathroom. The turntable with albums was really fun. In the lobby is a wonderful espresso bar. And the rooftop bar was unbelievably spectacular, despite the 1 1/2 hour wait. Eataly close by, has great, affordable food in a nice atmosphere. Mezcali is also a terrific, beautiful and affordable restaurant nearby. You also have transportation to everywhere in the city within about a block. The drawbacks were few. Because our side of the building was feet from the next building, natural light doesn't penetrate the room. They could be better about towels. We had a single washcloth for two people on the first day, and none on the next days, and one hand towel. You must reserve room cleaning at the reception. Finally, the Financial District just feels dark because it is the oldest part of the city, with looming buildings and a labyrinthine topography. The sun has no chance of getting down to the street in many parts. But that is NYC. We would stay here again, for sure.

Great alternative to a traditional hotel. The rooms are very spacious (you will not find this size in NYC for this cost). There is a grocery store and a coffee shop downstairs, several restaurants and a rooftop bar in the building. Great location with lots of dining options around. If you are using public transportation - subway is about 10 min walk (maybe even less). Overall, highly recommend to try Mint House for your stay.

Zaire and Thanary are exceptional at what they do -- both went above and beyond to make our son’s wedding weekend with numerous family members in residence as smooth as possible...

Room was nice and clean , is like a self service hotel , no phone to call front desk , for international travel not that convenient.

Check-in had a few hiccups. We arrived early and were told we’d receive a text when the room was ready, but ended up going back in person at check-in time to get our code. A couple of small negatives: limited counter space in the bathrooms and not many towels. We also had a bit of confusion with packages and the reservation system. One of my Amazon packages was delayed in being located, though Bryce went out of his way to track it down for me late at night (huge thank you!). There was also some mix-up with the reservation being flagged as two bookings, but thankfully it was resolved. Overall, despite a few minor issues, the positives outweighed the negatives. The space was impressive, the staff was helpful, and I’d definitely stay here again for the value and comfort.

Exceptional guest services. Zaire and Thanary went above board on all levels -- both anticipating our needs (busy weekend festivities) and bringing their expertise and warmth to all interactions.

Usually I never write bad reviews but for this place I have to. While the room was nice itself, there were many hiccups. First, the TV wasn’t working so we couldn’t use Netflix. Second, the bathroom drain was clogged so it filled up. Third and lastly, the LEDs were disconnected from the bed and so were the plugs for the speaker so I had to manually connect them. For my girlfriend’s birthday I expected everything to be perfect but it was mediocre at best. It was a let down for her especially. Choose something else.

We stayed as a family of four for a week. Having stayed in a few places in New York before this felt very spacious. Well decorated and furnished. We had one kid in their own bedroom and one on living room sofa bed. Lovely staff who were helpful throughout. Excellent gym, good on site food market, lovely healthy food options at Blue Kitchen and also the downstairs diner was decent. Great location off Wall st and close walk to subway and battery park. Would definitely recommend, but take earplugs, ithe rooms are near street level, so traffic and construction noise and the aircon is loud. Oh, and the 63rd floor adults only bar is lovely, if pricey. Worth it for the view.

Absolutely loved staying at mint house. Great location and fantastic spacious one bedroom apartment with everything we needed. The gym was a bonus too.

The only problem was the fire alarm went off, firefighters came and left but no staff came out to talk to us or to tell the guest it’s safe to come back in. The staff sent 2 guys up with no badges and /or no phone call from staff that they were sending them up to do internet work in my room (although the room had internet), the lack of communication is a problem, of course they didn’t get in and I had a conversation with the staff. I must say the rooms are spacious and the website pictures are truly accurate. Easy walk to the piers, dining, local shops and stores and the exchange and 911 memorial.

This is an amazing value in Manhattan. Large rooms with microwaves fridges record players. Michelin star restaurant and rooftop patio in building. One block to Subway. 1000% recommend.

Me and my family only had a short stay but we had a very busy time in New York and this place was a nice calm, clean and comfortable place to lay our heads. It made our hectic schedule far more enjoyable than if we didn't have such a nice place to rest.

Great stay with a family of 6! Only thing I wish was different was that they do not have roll in cribs or pack n plays for the little ones. Also, the parking is expensive! But I know that this is just something that comes with the territory in New York. Other than that, room was beautiful! It was huge, bigger than we expected. The record player was a great addition. The spacious hallways walking to your room definitely give you that vacation feel. All in all, I would definitely recommend and will stay here again in the future.

My wife and enjoyed the extra room our unit offered. The extra bathroom was a major plus. However the air conditioning system is not great and very noisy. The bedding was very hot and there were no blanket alternatives available in our room. The water temperature in my shower went from Luke warm to very hot every 50 seconds. Bathtub bottom was very slippery and I fell a couple times while showering.

On cleanliness/housekeeping: we put two toiletries bags up on top of the bathroom wall units and soon found the dust was thick on top of them, I doubt any cleaning has been done up there for a long time! Used bathrobe was not replaced, bin liner not replaced either. AC was hit and miss, we did speak to reception about it once and someone was sent up but the system didn't seem to work well overnight. Kitchen area was well equipped and a big bonus and it would be the draw to get us to stay again. Bathroom was fine but don't love shower curtains. Bathroom felt functional but basic and not a luxury hotel experience. Biggest let down for us was layout. There is an insane amount of closet space/generally wasted space. The seating area with the pull out bed faced a blank white wall in the middle of the apartment, there would really be almost no reason to relax/sit there. To watch TV you'd have to go to the bed/kitchen area and sit on the bed. There was one chair plus the sofa bed for an apartment that should sleep 4 (we were only 2 though). The apartment was dark but location doesn't help with that.

Very clean hotel in the heart of the Financial District. Our studio unit was very specious and comfortable. Entrance for lines 2&3 subway is meters away from the entrance. Good option in New York

The room was great and will bring us back. However, there are a couple of drawbacks. The front lobby is tucked in the back of the ground floor, which is a bit unusual. The building doors are heavy and difficult to open, and the front of the building is under scaffolding. But overall we loved the room.

A great place to stay in New York giving space for the family to not be under each others feet like in a hotel room. The ability to cook meals in the kitchenette and an on site gym really helped.

We loved our stay at the mint house! It was a better value for a family of five than two hotel rooms. Having all the extra amenities like laundry and kitchen was such a bonus! But it is equipped like a hotel room too. We loved the location for exploring the sea port, walking along the water, over the Brooklyn Bridge, the trade center, and more! Check in was easy and the gentleman at the desk was prepared and expecting us. He was so sweet. Check out was the same. And it turned out or favorite place for breakfast with such delicious food happened to be right in the building, the Black Fox coffee shop. All around everything was fantastic.

Just spent 7 days at the Mint House which was superb in every way. Family of 4 travelling with 2 adults and 2 kids, 15 & 12. The kitchen had everything we needed and the 2 very clean bathrooms were perfect. Overall we really enjoyed our holiday and will definitely return to the Mint House.

I can not thank the staff at the Mint House enough. Dave and Zaire at the desk were incredibly helpful. We had a horrendous situation at a previous stay, where we checked out early. As soon as I called Mint House, Dave accommodated us, helped checked us in and made sure my family incl. our three children were comfortable. Thank you team for everything.

The staff are excellent in how they handle any request. All my at home food delivery was perfectly handled at the reception- I just picked them up when I was around. Any ask for housekeeping was answered right away and without any problems. They made the room everyday and it was big and great for my family.

Very efficient and friendly check-in. Clean and spacious rooms. Quiet. Good location for visitors to lower Manhattan tourist attractions.

In addition, the accommodations came with a full kitchen. I purchased groceries beforehand which was convenient. They did not deliver everything I ordered, because they were sold out of items, but they reimbursed me for the groceries that were not provided. Overall, this was the best NYC hotel that I’ve stayed in. (I have stayed at many b/c my son lives in NYC and I visit often.) I highly recommend the Mint House!

I can’t even count how many times I’ve stayed at this point, but the staff is always top notch.

Great room with a king bed, pull out sofa bed. Both were comfortable with great bedding. We loved the ease of being able to text with the front desk staff for anything we needed. There was some noise from garbage trucks working around 10:30-11 but quiet other than that. Easy access to the subway and convenient grocery store right downstairs!

Mint House at Pine Street was fantastic! I will definitely be back! I took a staycation with them for my birthday and it was perfect. Check in was easy, everyone was friendly and helpful, the room was beautiful, a perfect sanctuary complete with a record player, a comfy bed, Mallin & Goetz toiletries and a walk-in closet. The room had a full kitchen too. The beauty of staying in the financial district on the weekends is that it’s quiet, so no noise! It was a peaceful and relaxing experience. Oh and did I mention the full service gym with a stream room and there is a coffee shop with food (Black Fox) in the lobby, their coffee is excellent! All in all a perfect weekend.

Gorgeous building in a perfect neighborhood! Easy to walk to many sites we visited an accessible to the subway, which we took everywhere. Loved having 2 bathrooms and a huge apartment by NYC standards. The staff was great! Loved the rooftop bar in the building with an amazing view...we went there every night!

Walk to our room was the complete opposite end w/stairs (challenging with a bad knee), it would have been great if @ check in we were informed to ignore the signage & go left rather than right off of elevator.”, stop, quick walk to our room. Room was quite large, bed was comfortable and bathroom was enormous. Unfortunately there was a strong cigarette odor the entire time.

Loved the spacious room, great size for a family of 4. There was a throw blanket that was so soft and warm and the shower gel was Amazing! Love that you can easily "shop your stay" because we now have these items in our home. Check-in and check-out was quick and efficient and the grocery store on the ground level was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. We absolutely recommend!

I really like the apartment style hotel, super modern and comfortable. Although I would have liked to know that we needed to request for them to service the room, otherwise they wont do it. The area around is ok, there are things to do but not my favorite, if this hotel is more towards midtown I would stay again in a heartbeat!

The supermarket just around the corner was a great bonus for stocking up on essentials. The hotel is also perfectly located, with metro stations within walking distance, making it easy to explore the city. The art deco design in the lobby added a stylish touch to the atmosphere, and we found the business center to be a convenient feature. Overall, a fantastic stay, and we’d highly recommend it!

Like having an apartment downtown. Full kitchen, big bathroom and closets. Easy walk to the Oculus, WTC, Brookfield Place and Century 21. The 2/3 and 4/5 subways are both close so you can head uptown on the East or West side. David at the front desk is super helpful and made sure everything was easy for us. We absolutely loved our stay at the Mint House in NYC! Every interaction with the staff was delightful—they were friendly, helpful, and incredibly pleasant. The location in FiDi was perfect, with quick access to the subway and surprisingly easy travel uptown. Mint House exceeded our expectations, and we would happily stay at one of their locations again!
