The rooftop bar is an added plus. Great vibe and great drinks and food. The bar tenders were very friendly we had a great time! This will be our hotel when visiting the city.

All of the amenities were so nice to have. The location in Hell’s Kitchen was perfect. The hotel itself was decorated so beautifully with light, bright colors and natural wood. Most of all, the staff was truly pleasant and gracious. It felt like they sincerely wanted you to have the best experience.

We stayed at the Theta when they first opened and returned a year later. The rooms are comfortable and clean but already showing wear; in the hall as well. The staff is indifferent. The breakfast was not very good and a waste of money. On par with a Hampton Inn. We will not stay here again.

Nothing First off the bathroom was swarmed with flying bugs. There was literally weird black spots on the wall n it smelt like shit
- 1.5/5
We had an issue with our room, a cockroach was in here. So the staff promised a refund of $47 per night (x3) that I didn’t get. When I try to reach out by message I have no news so I have no choice but to give this bad review. Please take action asap
- 3.5/5
The location of the property is excellent, close to everything and very safe, so I was satisfied in that regard. A very small number of the staff were friendly and helpful; however, there were only two employees who genuinely stood out in this way. Great location and very safe. However, the receptionist who checked me in was quite unfriendly and left a poor first impression. For the price, I expected much better service. The hotel also felt dated and overpriced. Overall, I did not find it to be good value for money and would not stay here again

The only complaint was gym was tiny, and could only comfortably accommodate 2 people at a time. I would stay there again, the next time I'm in NYC.

Location was the best feature. Subway access was on the corner, easy access to Times Square. Carnegie diner close for breakfast, lots of late night pizza, bars etc close by. Rooms were large for NY, bathrooms squeezy but functional and clean, rooftop bar was great for sunset drinks, free morning coffee in the lobby was nice too. Very happy with the hotel. Door staff were a bit confusing, wasn’t always certain who was who, sometimes they opened the door, other times not.
- 2/5
Location I found a big insect in the bathroom, I could make a video of it. also I couldn’t change my check in date and I have to pay for a night I didn’t use.
- 5/5
Loved everything about this stay, hotel absolutely exceeded our expectations. Rooms were really spacious, family of four travelling and did not feel cramped at all. All the staff were amazing. We added on breakfast which was upstairs on the top floor restaurant, such a beautiful setting and buffet style with perfect choice of food, very delicious and highly reccomed adding onto your trip. Staff were all amazing. Free wine each evening for an hour in the lobby was a lovely touch too and very appreciated. Great location for the subways and Times Square. Would 100% stay here again. Nothing.

Great location. Clean and well equipped. Love the free morning coffee at the lobby. Some of the receptionists were very unpleasant. They could laughing with each others and change to stone face as soon as turn their face to the customers. My husband went to reception asked if we could have late check out till 2pm and got the answer that the hotel was fully booked. We could only be able to check out at 1pm, otherwise we needed to pay 50 dollars to extend till 2pm. Half hour later, we got informed our airline was delayed and we would missed our connection flight. So we had to stay one more night and fly the following morning. So we went to the reception again and got a room without a problem. Which means the receptionist were lying about the fully booked story. And then because it’s was 2:30pm, they told us the check in time is 3pm. If we want to check in sooner, we have to pay 50 dollars!! So we sat down with our luggages and waited a the lobby for half hour, We have never ever experienced such a ”service minded” and money driven behavior in any hotel like this.

The Theta Hotel saved our NYC trip. We booked a different hotel originally, and left after the first night because it was so horrible. Luckily the Theta was right around the corner, we didn't even have to move our car. We had a huge sigh of relief when entering our room, it was clean, spacious for NYC, and had a great view of 8th street. The rooftop restaurant and Bar was very nice, and the Staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel location is about 2 blocks from the center of Times square, and right in the mix of Broadway Theaters.
- 3.5/5
Location was great. Room was near the elevator which had an extremely load ‘ding’. And the airconditioning was really noisy. Bathroom was on the small side.

Beautiful, clean hotel, a block away from Times Square. Beautiful large room, nice furnishing. Bathroom was a bit tight but functional. I missed having a coffee/tea maker in the room but the hotel offered complimentary drip coffee in the lobby. Many restaurants within walking distance. Nice touch with free wine every day 5-6 and lemonade in the lobby.

The staff were friendly and very helpful and the room was big by NY standards. The location is perfect for the theater district, Hell’s Kitchen, or Central Park The breakfast was too full on the day we arrived and we had to wait. Because of the large number of guests, there were lines everywhere and we couldn’t find the essentials like coffee or juice. On the second day, it was much better organized. The noise was also an issue, with a fire station just around the corner.
- 4.5/5
The size of the rooms is unmatched in NYC. The staff was very attentive and helpful with every interaction that we had with them. The ice machines weren't working on several floors but it was quickly addressed and remedied.

We had a great stay at the Kimpton. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and the staff was incredibly helpful. Location is convenient. Despite being close to Times Square, the room was quiet (we were on a higher floor).
- 5/5
Great location! Clean and staff was amazing.
- 5/5
Our stay at Kimpton was perfect. The room, the view, the staff, the bed etc… Will definitely be back
- 1.5/5
They lied in the property details. There is no parking on site. THEY DONT HAVE PARKING! When you call to check in about to reservation and online it says parking is a daily rate. Which is not true you have to pay 65 dollars anytime you touch your vehicle once it’s parked. So if you use your car 3x in a day that’s 195 dollars.
- 4.5/5
Lovely hotel within walking distance of many of New York City's attractions. Just across the road from subway stations. 5 minutes from Broadway and Times Square. We had a great time there. Nothing really.

Location, big and fresh room The staff could have been more smiley. However, they were effective
- 4/5
Big room with two queen beds, comfortable beds, good bathroom
- 4/5
The location No flexibility in early checkin and supporting with luggage. The buffet breakfast had limited options. The staff in the restaurant were unhygienic in more than one instance and borderline rude.
- 3.5/5
Great location, smiling and helpful staff at the breakfast and the entrance. Very unpleasant black woman who works at the reception. I made 2 different check outs with this lady and she was aggressive and did not want to understand my problem.

Staff really excellent and very responsive to any issues / requests . I stayed for 11nights and was located in a very nice room on the 15th floor. Complimentary coffee in mornings a nice touch Although the evening complimentary drinks is a good idea. The quality of wine could be better in keeping with the quality / price of staying at hotel. Also wines were same every night for my stay

Classic Kimpton service all around! Loved the rooftop for breakfast and happy hour. Plenty of space in the lobby for co-working or small group Door Dash dinner. Lovely 5 p.m,. wine hour. We were there during Cinco de Mayo and they offered refreshing Margarita's as well. Bellman were super helpful with deliveries and the private car option costs the same as UBER. Do yourself a favor and book it in advance with the bellman! Rooms were typical NYC size, efficient and clean. The only area for improvement is the bulky ackward seating for the desk area. Not efficient -- so did most of my remote work in the rooftop or lobby area. Close to everything, yet secluded enough to not be in the Times Square craziness. Loved our stay here!!

They demand a $100 security deposit per night and refuse to let you check in without it. They also refuse cash for this deposit, forcing a card charge. I was told the money would be released immediately upon checkout on, but now they claim it takes up to 30 working days. Unfair and misleading practice for international travelers. Do not stay here.

I liked the location off Times Square, the breakfast was really nice a decent sized buffet on the roof terrace very relaxing to queues to get in etc. No massive NYC queues for the lifts. Wine o’clock and complimentary water and wine in the lobby. On booking.com this is labelled a five star it is not this is a 4 star hotel quality wise. We were there 4 nights they did not accomdate any room requests despite being a long stay and celebration stay. The executive level is falsely advertised it is only a high floor room absolutely no other perks there was no lounge etc. Unfortunately our room had recurring plumbing issues.
- 2/5
It's a noisy hotel. You can hear everything from your room, including outside noise, people in the next room, everything at the elevator bank. The bathroom is absolutely tiny, and everything is worn and in some state of disrepair. I was incredibly disappointed that this hotel was not up to the standards I expect from a Kimpton.

Good size room, clean, nice breakfast experience Reception staff and their direct management. Rude, aggressive and unhelpful. Never experienced anything like it. They let down the brand, the rest of the staff at the hotel. Suggest IHG does some mystery 'shopping' and sees the problem and sorts it out.
- 1/5
Rooms good size, clean and good bed. Appalling experience with reception staff. Rude, combative and unhelpful. They let the Kimpton brand down, the hotel down and the rest of the staff in the hotel down. We have never experienced anything like it.
- 4/5
Under the renovation the building is old, so AC rattles from inside the walls at all times. Plumbing was not good - shower temp and water pressure was inconsistent, needing you to constantly have your adjust, and then it just shut off without warning a couple of times. Look elsewhere for breakfast. The buffet was the same items and quality as any lower budget chain hotel, for a high-end price.
- 4/5
Good breakfast but for vegetarian not so many options. Reception staff was very rude

Nice , fair price, great service !
- 5/5
Clean room, relatively big for NYC. Staff was friendly and efficient and the hotel looks great overall. I definitely recommend staying here.
- 5/5
Kimpton properties never disappoint! Feels like a boutique hotel stay with luxurious bath, toiletries, coffee in the lobby or request a machine for your room, wine social hour at 5 PM, and the most amazing breakfast in their rooftop restaurant! We added the full breakfast option during our stay, well worth it! Centrally located. Make sure to visit Starchild bar less than a block away for beautiful Rooftop views and they’re surprising disco party bathroom!

We stayed here for a little staycation. Great hotel for the price and location. The room was a little bare, there was no coffee or tea set but they did provide complimentary water bottles.

- 5/5
The design of the hotel, the cleanliness of all areas and the friendly staff. They have a very nice restaurant and bar at the top of the hotel. The breakfast was good as well. The location was great and near Times Square. Nothing I can think off. We had a great stay.
- 5/5
Great location - easy walk to the park and Times Square and all the theaters. Room was bigger than we expected and had a great view of street life. The rooftop bar is not to be missed.
- 5/5
Very accommodating staff and prime location 😊
- 5/5
Great location. Rooms were a good size. Beds were comfortable. One of the only affordable places in the area where we wanted to be that had 2 queen beds instead of 2 full beds. Hotel staff was so helpful and generally amazing. Best place we’ve stayed in all our times of traveling to NYC. Nothing. Everything was fantastic.
- 4/5
I've had better breakfasts elsewhere. Dinner was passable.Restaurant was loud and not particularly accessible to older occupants.
- 4/5
The downside was the rooftop restaurant which was insanely expensive even for NYC standards.

The sink kept getting clogged, they said theyd have someone look but no one came to see it, and some staff weren’t friendly. Other than that it was a great place.
- 4/5
Room was clean but still a little noisy
- 5/5
This was my third stay at Kimpton Theta and the room once again was clean and comfortable. The exercise facility had functioning equipment and was also clean. Love the location as well…, TONS to do within walking distance.
- 5/5
Excellent location, good breakfast, hotel felt fresh and clean, huge rooms by NY standards. Staff were a bit cold but again this is a NY thing and not specific to the hotel.

Got the Premium corner room, it was bigger than I thought it would be for New York and you can see time square down the street. So much in walking distance
- 5/5
The hotel is very central and easy to find. The amenities are top-notch and the bed was super comfy. We also enjoyed hanging out at the rooftop bar. Great pick!
- 5/5
The location of this hotel was ideal for our stay. We were seeing a show at the Ambassador Theater, which was right around the corner. Plus we were very close to everything we wanted to do without being in the middle of Times Square. The room was clean, nicely decorated and furnished and very comfortable. We were very happy with our complete experience. I would definitely consider staying here again for any future visits to NYC.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was great for my family of 4. Super location. Nice fitness space-small but useful.

The room was clean, good-sized, and quiet despite being in a very busy location. The front desk staff had to change our rooms and were great about it! Happy hour from 5-6 pm daily, and morning coffee downstairs was definitely a bonus. For the location and the price, I would for sure stay here again. Nothing. Everything was great, wouldn't change anything.
- 5/5
Clean and modern property. Spacious rooms and well-apologies noted room. The bathroom was a little small but totally workable and clean. Appreciated the staff and attentive service. Great Times Square location.

This hotel is not a good value. The building is old and the new owner attempted to update, but it is only cosmetic. I visited in winter, and the windows let cold air pour into the room, the HVAC systems seem old, and the hotel restaurant on the top floor has no heat. The same space is used for a bar, but it closes early, so no drinks to take to your room. Breakfast was freezing, guests wearing winter coats for a very mid buffet of cold food. Location is good for theaters but I won't be returning here.

Enjoyed my stay here much more than the last time a year ago! Stayed on a higher floor, less subway noise and vibrations made for a more enjoyable experience. Rooms are clean, tidy and bed was comfy. Could have done with a coffee maker in the room, but there is a great “happy hour” of sorts downstairs in the late afternoon and I guess grabbing a free cup of coffee in the lobby makes up for it. Given the snow and the extreme cold during my stay, I can report the room, lobby temperatures were great. The restaurant/bar, on the other hand, was cold and so uncomfortable I had to leave and hoof it to Starbucks down the street. Otherwise this is a fantastic hotel.

The staff was great and the hotel is nice our room was very clean and spacious. The layout of the room results in a small bathroom and a tiny closet. There is a full length mirror but it is across from the closet in a dark narrow hallway that leads to the bathroom rendering the mirror useless. The room lacks storage since there are only three very small drawers, 2 under the safe and one in a nightstand. The biggest issue overall is the noise. There is a lot of street noise we were on the 4th floor and in the corner of 8th Ave and 48 and it was quite noisy. We were able to sleep but for a light sleeper this would be difficult.

The window in the room was broken and condensated and leaked freezing air and water all night. The front desk told us there were plenty of rooms and they could accommodate us after our train cancelled, when we went to book the night they suddenly said they could not accommodate. The front desk was not nice about this whatsoever and basically said tough luck. The doormen and bellmen stereotype and only help people with high end luggage. Definitely won’t be saying with Kimpton again

Only watch out - if you need to go to airport, don’t take the black suv that are waiting, was much more expensive than quoted flat fee once I got to JFK, driver was not experienced, I wasn’t late, but glad I built in extra time, driver was not familiar with route to airport, construction confused him, he didn’t speak great English and my Spanish is limited…tell doorman to get you a cab.

The daytime front desk staff the next afternoon, on the other hand, couldn’t be bothered with graciousness nor kindness towards the hotel guests. I despise having to look at the tops of heads when I’m standing there. At least acknowledge and provide a “good afternoon…I’ll be right with you.”

The rooms are small and not what one would expect for the price. We visited over the Christmas holidays and the hotel was at capacity. There was never enough towels on the housekeeping cart, and we had to share 3 towels between 4 people.

Breakfast on roof top restaurant was great. Good variety of breakfast options, great staff service We had a corner room on 3rd floor. Not worth the extra price we paid. Would be better on higher floor. Our room had weird chemical or stuffy smell. If you are sensitive to that, it would be hard to ignore. 3rd floor is near the street level, you will hear a lot of noise from the street. We couldn't change our room. It was very hard to ask for room change. Front-desk staff is not very welcoming. We used hotel car service to the airport, price is comparable to Uber and convenient when you're in a rush. I would give it 5 stars for location that is central to where we needed to go 4 stars for breakfast options and 5 stars wait staff Free wine Happy hour was nice. 3 stars for front-desk team Overall 3 of 5 stars experience

The room was good. They messed up our charges on our reservation. And it has taken me 5 days to try to get it resolved. I still don't have resolution and it should be a simple solve. The team there lacks accountability. I have had to follow up 5 times vs. them following up with me to get this resolved.

Staff were great and the rooms are very clean. The water pressure is great and it’s hot! The only drawback is the walls are paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING that goes on in the rooms next door.

Very clean. Deli 2 doore down with lots of food choices, parking right next door, large common area to relax and enjoy friends. Hotel staff are ALL amazing, friendly, helpful peaple. Great bar restaurant across the street. Centrally located to attractions. Loved it there.
- 5/5
very nice
- 5/5
restaurant wasn’t as good as I hoped, but it’s NY you don’t at a hotel most of the time, it was fine for a last minute meal or breakfast. But overall we would stay here and again, and loved how amazing, kind, helpful, and hardworking the staff was. From the bellhop, cleaning staff to the managers and front desk. Everyone wanted your stay to be above average, and genuinely talked and took care of you!

We traveled as a family with young kids and generally enjoyed our stay at the Kimpton Theta. Some things to note - staff service was hit and miss - some were really great and some not very friendly or helpful. The rooms are of good size and comfortable. The location is fantastic. The street noise is an issue and I strongly recommend taking a room on a high floor facing the back. The lobby common space is well put, comfortable for both relaxing and work time. The little cafe is OK, but has limited options. The roof top restaurant and bar are great. We stayed for several days, then left for three days to visit another city before returning back to stay at the hotel, and were disappointed that the hotel could not store our bags for those days away and that the hotel staff mistakenly sent back a package that arrived for us because we checked out, even though we notified them upfront that the package is coming in. Overall, we enjoyed the trip, but felt that the hotel has areas for improvement that would make us feel better about the stay.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Great staff
- 4/5
It could be more hospitable if they made the guests aware upfront that they can ask for a microwave or coffee maker to be delivered to the room . Housekeeping staff was very friendly, but the front desk folks were barely communicative and definitely not welcoming, unlike our earlier stay this year. Great location!
- 5/5
Solid amenities. Great location. Wonderfully helpful and friendly staff!
- 4/5
The best thing about this hotel is the housekeeping staff! Never have I met a nicer team of hotel employees who genuinely were so kind. They really made our stay special.
- 2/5
The room is so small and sound proof is so bad. You can hear all the loud noise outside.
- 4/5
We stay at Kimpton's all over the world and always have had good experiences. This is a nice hotel in heart of theatre district. It’s very close to all tourist hot spots and a short walk to the subway. The rooftop bar was great for breakfast and to grab a cocktail. Only drawback is that the rooms are a bit small if traveling with more than 2 guests.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Clean comfortable good location
- 4/5
Room was fine. The wall decor was a bit strange and the bed was pretty hard. The staff was decently pleasant and helpful and the blow dryer was way better than the small ones some hotels leave ya. No major complaints.
- 5/5
The room was beautifully decorated and very clean. Hotel representatives quickly responded to my service requests. We received an excellent discount on parking. We were also provided a microwave for our room upon request. I had a great time and will stay here again.
- 5/5
This was our second time staying at the Kimpton Theta, and they never disappoint. The new rooftop is a very cool vibe and great drinks and small bites. Great for a happy hour or night cap.
- 5/5
Fantastic
- 2/5
10pm on Saturday night and roof top bar was closed. We couldn’t get ice from ice machine and after calling the front desk they just said sorry maybe try going to a different floor? 11pm Saturday night in time square and the staff threatened to kick us out bc they said our kids were being too loud. So much for an 18 y/o birthday in NYC.
- 5/5
Great clean hotel
- 5/5
Room size and housekeeping. Location was perfect.
- 5/5
Kimpton was located in a great area with easy walking distance to Time Square, Broadway, and some wonderful restaurants! Central Park, the Met, and a few other attractions are slightly further, but still also within walking distance. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed the wine hour every night! One accommodation we thought we were sacrificing was an in-room coffee maker, however we found out that they will bring a Keurig and coffee to your room upon request, at no additional charge! The in room fridge was also a welcome surprise, and we were able to grab a few snacks to keep in the room. We will 100% stay here again!
- 5/5
The Kimpton Theta was a delightful place to stay for our theater weekend! The staff was attentive, courteous, and helpful. The room was spacious and well appointed. The elevators were always quick! We dined at the enjoyable rooftop restaurant which had great views. The location was excellent as we were able to walk to the Broadway shows both nights. Would definitely recommend this hotel!
- 4/5
Wonderful location.
- 5/5
Beautiful rooms, great location for Times Square and Broadway. Only down side is noise which is expected in this location. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The evening happy hour in the linge was a nice touch!
- 4/5
Clean room and friendly staff. Great location! Walking distance to many of the things we wanted to do. Phone in room did not work so we had to go to front desk to request extra towels.
- 4/5
Good amenities, pretty standard though. I would have hoped for more of a view - I was just looking at a blank wall from the building next door without windows. I did have a minor issue with my room, but the staff was helpful in resolving it quickly. Overall a good pick if you’re planning to be in the heart of Times Square.
- 5/5
I can’t even begin to describe how much we loved it here! INCREDIBLE SERVICE, beautiful hotel, everything!! Can’t wait to go back!!!
- 5/5
The room and every aspect of the hotel was perfect.

Great room, location, service and staff. Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
The property was very nice. The room was well kept and the bed was incredibly comfy. All of the staff were great as well.
- 5/5
Clean room, early check in (for a fee) and great service
- 5/5
Loved the size of the room and especially happy hour at the rooftop bar. Great stay!
- 2/5
Check in was terrible. Long line and only one person working. She called many times for someone to come and help, no one came. I was standing in line for 35 mins. I asked to speak to the duty manager, and was promised that someone would speak to me, no one did. I later went to speak to another manager, he said he would speak to me later too, he did not.
- 5/5
We were on the 2nd floor on 8th Ave and did not hear noise from the street (outside of our room was some sort of machinery- slight white noise which we all found soothing. One of our party forgot some toiletries and the hotel had a list of available items (very appreciate!) They also had complementary coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. We did not use the restaurant or bar, we were there to see Broadway shows. Great location! Parking garage beside the hotel with 24 hour availability. We will definitely stay again!
- 5/5
We did not get free breakfast, only free coffee.
- 5/5
Everyone was so kind and polite! The staff were amazing
- 5/5

On the plus side, staff were quite helpful.

Excellent staff and great location! The o lt thing missing was a lobby bar (but the free wine every day was a nice touch).

Beautiful rooms an great location

My room was lovely. My bed was very comfortable. The water pressure was weirdly aggressive in my shower. I liked the variety in the shop off of check in.

I loved the property, the restaurant on the roof was supper cute! And the staff was very friendly and attentive
- 3/5
Everything about the Property was Amazing, Friendly, Convenient, Assessable…..the only thing was Our Room Smelled like “Dirty Feet/Shoes”!!! :(
- 5/5
The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The “Concierge” desk cheerfully assisted us with anything we needed. Our room was quiet, in spite of the busy street below.
- 5/5
Great location, a bit noisy but that’s New York! :)… perfect place to explore the city sights.
- 5/5
Love the tesm
- 5/5
I've stayed in a number of hotels, but this one truly meets most of my requirements. Besides the attractive hallway and lobby, the rooms are nicely and neatly furnished. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent—everything is close by, and most places were within walking distance. Our room was at the back of another building (I wasn't particularly concerned about the view), but thanks to that, it was quiet despite its proximity to Times Square. I highly recommend it!
- 5/5
Must visit, the service was impeccable.
- 5/5
O único ponto negativo é o estacionamento que é muito caro +70 por dia e se o carro for grande, é mais caro. Mas no geral muito bom hotel.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing!!
- 5/5
Can't recommend the location and hotel anymore - brilliant 👏
- 4/5
Great stay, close to the train station and everything else. Fam trained into Penn St and walked to the hotel no prob. Also walked to Central Park, Time Square, and The Met without any issues. Staff was amazing! So kind and energetic. The place was clean and refreshing. Loved the rooftop for dinner appetizers and drinks. Breakfast was ok, dinner was way better and worth the cost in our opinion. Cafe in the lobby for coffee was nice. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend them!
- 5/5
Great hotel. Clean. Modern. Up to date. Location to Times Square is excellent but a couple of blocks away that’s less hectic. Hotel staff was very attentive to our needs, and their suggestions definitely helped.
- 5/5
The only real complaint I have is that the TV was lagging and occasionally it would randomly turn off. But I wasn't in New York to watch television so it was no big deal! We attended three shows and we were within a few blocks of each one an awesome location great staff would definitely stay there again
- 4/5
A great central location, helpful friendly staff and comfortable rooms.
- 5/5
Rooms large, super comfortable beds. Easy walking distance to everything. Great roof top bar. Happy hour for guests with free red/white wine in lobby every evening. Great Thai restaurant around corner SaiTong. Close to all theatres. Will stay again when returning to NYC. Easy subway trip in from JFK.
- 5/5
Everything was great, there as a gnat problem in the bathroom but other than that everything was clean.
- 5/5
Lucy on the roof deck was spectacular. Brunch not so much.. food was not hot. This was our 2nd stay in 6 months…. We will be back.
- 5/5
Clean room. Professional staff
- 5/5
Overall the proper was great. The only issue was the shower and sink which did not drain properly. The shower and the bathroom door were also a little rusted.
- 5/5
We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again. Everything was great; location, staff, room size, and cleanliness.
- 5/5
Great location, great size room considering its NYC
- 5/5
Clean and quiet.
- 5/5
Great location! Beautiful hotel in middle of the NYC madness.
- 4/5
It was decent. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Greeters and concierge in the lobby were nice and helpful. Not a horrible stay but I do would I have made a different choice.
- 5/5
Beautiful, clean hotel with great service! Beds are comfortable and rooms are cozy.
- 5/5
the rooms were clean as well, and organized. i will definitely be coming back!!

- 4/5
Property was nice. Rooms were comfortable. I didn’t not love the location. Too close to Times Square for me. But if you’re going to NYC for shows this is an excellent location.
- 5/5
location
- 5/5
First of all the staff was amazing, in every aspect. They were friendly, accommodating and went above and beyond. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Beds were very comfortable. Over all it was a lovely experience. Thank you.
- 5/5
Awesome property.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and great location

Beautiful lobby design. Feels like a high end boutique hotel . Rooms very clean .everyone thought beds and linen were SO comfortable and clean !
- 5/5
Great location - subway, Central Park, broadway, etc. would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Great location. Room was nice but the bathroom was really small.
- 1/5
When they called, I didn’t provide a card over the phone. I later called back to follow up, and the staff member’s response was, “well, you should provide a valid card!”—as if the situation were somehow my fault. This attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, especially given that I had booked properly through Expedia. This policy is unreasonable and puts guests in an impossible position. If I hadn’t been reachable at that exact moment, I would have arrived to find my room canceled despite having a confirmed booking. A professional hotel should resolve payment issues proactively and well in advance, not after check-in time when travelers are often in transit and unable to respond. The experience was stressful, poorly handled, and completely avoidable. I would strongly caution others against booking this hotel, especially if you’re traveling and can’t guarantee you’ll be available to take last-minute calls.
- 5/5
Its what I expected.
- 2/5
Bathroom had strong urine smell, walls were very thin so could hear the neighbors, cleaning staff had a shouting discussion with full on swear words. Social hour nice and red wine was amazing. Location is great and linens were clean, the soap and shampoo very good. Skimpy amenities for a $500 a night hotel room.
- 5/5
Close to Broadway shows.
- 4/5
Good location and good staff - room was good but pricey - Bar upstairs is very cool but the Breakfast Buffet for $37 is a complete ripoff - again Staff was good
- 3/5
The value for the price is simply not there. At over C$500+ per night, this hotel does not meet expectations in terms of service and amenities. I would consider a fair price to be closer to C$300. Simple touches, like offering complimentary water (available at all times) or coffee in the mornings, would go a long way. These are basic amenities that are often standard at hotels of this price range. Additionally, the luggage cart being restricted to Bellmen is a bit perplexing. Guests should have access to it if needed. While these may seem like small details, they can have a big impact on the overall experience.
- 3/5
Great location though, but so are many other hotels.
- 5/5
Ok
- 4/5
I have no complaints about my stay at this hotel. I chose it because it offered the best rates for two queen-size beds. I have visited New York many times and personally prefer to stay away from tourist areas. However, this hotel is in a great location for first-time visitors—it’s within walking distance to many attractions and close to a subway station. That said, you will be surrounded by tourists, which isn’t my preference. I usually like to avoid the heavy tourist traffic on the main avenues, but since I booked at the last minute, I ended up in this situation. Overall, though, I found the hotel to be very good!
- 5/5
Perfect!
- 5/5
We had a great stay at the hotel! Perfect.
- 5/5
Great overall experience!
- 1/5
They didn’t tell me until they i pay for total amount went to the room and find out AC is not working in the entire building I canceled my booking , with full refund Refund took 2 months to get with may be more than 5 calls
- 3/5
The registration was for two guests. Initially, we were provided only one towel, one hand towel and one wash cloth. We were given one more set for 2, and two sets for our second night.
- 3/5
Ok hotel. Impolite at reception. Costly for the quality which is not much above medicore
- 4/5
Out stay was very good overall. Few things were not too good. We stayed at 4th floor and we could not sleep as the sound of the street just would not let us. Specially if the hotel is located next to fire station and fire truck has been going on with the sirens nearly every 2 hrs... Soundproof windows would be great idea. Rooms have not been cleaned properly as lots of dust and feathers from the beddings were everywhere. For 9 nights we had same breakfast almost every day. No vegetables at all Very basic food options. After 5 days eating the same food we started to eat also in town. Rooms with no air circulation is not good. There no ventilation in the toilet/bathroom. All goes into the room. Very good location Nice and helpful staff Nice coffee and cocktails in the evening in the bar on the roof. 2 hours of happy hour every day was 😍 amazing. Beautiful view.
- 5/5
Very good option for Times Square.
- 5/5
Comfortable, spacious room. Friendly, helpful staff. Felt like home away from home.
- 3/5
The food in the rooftop was not that good.
- 1/5
I recently stayed from August 2-6. Beds are confortable and location is good. Front desk treatment is not welcoming at all. Once I returned home, I was charged almost $600 without any notice and when I called, Steve, the manager said it was a SMOKING FINE. This is completely false and a SCAM. I have been researching and this is a common thing they do, and there is no way to refute them. I am trying to fix this with bank, since hotel or expedia couldn’t help, and if not will take legal action. Do not stay here or else you will be falsely charged as have I and many others.
- 5/5
The location of the hotel was very convenient and the rooms were bright, clean and newly renovated. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!
- 4/5
However, I have one complaint: I was bitten by mosquitoes several times. We didn’t realize that the staff or a previous guest had left the window open because the drapes covered it until the last day. I found two mosquitoes in our room. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel. Just make sure the window is closed.
- 5/5
Great stay! Already made reservations to return!
- 5/5
This was my 2nd stay and it was great. Cozy hotel with great staff and all the amenities we needed. Great location for Broadway shows, Times Square, Central Park, and public transportation options. We will definitely be back!

Staff was very helpful. Hotel is very secured fir safety. The Breakfast not a lot of options. We had it included our first stay this stay wasnt. It wouldn't have been worth the price. They do offer free tea and coffee in the lobby.

All front desk staff were super friendly, and helpful. Parking attached was so easy and convenient. A ton of main attractions are walkable from here. Rooms and property were clean, and I felt very safe. I would definitely stay here again!

Also, no surprise charges which some have complained about.

We really enjoyed everything about our stay. The staff were great, the room was spacious (for nyc) and comfortable. Great location, slightly away from time square, but close to everything.
- 4/5
Food options are limited at the hotel and no kettle to make hot drinks in the room. They do offer free coffee in the morning but we do like a coffee/tea in the evening. Also the aircon in the room was poor with not cooling sufficiently.
- 5/5
Parking included next door a huge plus if you drive to manhattan for time square visit. Also walking distance to broadway theaters. Somewhat noisy at night but that’s what you get center of manhattan

Very small staff, which means no one answers the guest services line; they’re too busy. They also missed my wake up call because apparently I called it in too early - you have to do it right before bed. AC was cranked by housekeeping every time I left the room, so always freezing upon return. The worst part, however, were what I think were drain flies in the shower - I looked up and saw several small winged bugs on the ceiling. Really hoping it was just them and not bed bugs too, though I did check and didn’t see any.

600 dollars a night and no A/C during. Summer heat Waze.
- 5/5
The staff are amazingly helpful and knowledgeable with suggestions.
- 5/5
Its very nice and close to Time Square

Was in a convenient location. The showers were low water pressure and our air conditioning didn’t put out much cold air on some hot days, but other than that, our stay was good.
- 4/5
Convenient location. Nice staff. Nice to have complimentary bikes and we rode to Central Park and around. May have gotten bug bites in the room however. Noisy despite high floor but it’s NYC. OK place for the money.
- 4/5
Room was nice for the location and price; larger than expected. Water pressure was hit or miss. Location was good. Staff was just ok. I would recommend and stay here again.

This is an excellent hotel, near by timesquare

Amazing property and great walkable location for Broadway shows!!!

I needed to be at a meeting a few blocks away, otherwise this wouldn't be my location of choice. However, it was perfect for my two-night stay. I found the staff to be 5-star. I ordered Chinese food one night. When I went to the lobby to collect my dinner, I checked the bag and there weren't any plastic utensils. Somehow a young man who seemed to be station in the lobby elevator area saw/overheard and appeared in a flash with utensils. That's five-star service.

Very nice hotel, loved the complimentary morning coffee and evening wine. Parking right next door however was 130 for 2 days. Local is very close to subway.

Great hotel in good location. Rooms were decent sized, staff was so friendly and offered to help deliver addtl items to the room. Coffee downstairs free until 9am. Elevators were quick and water machines next to ice makers were awesome touch. Only meh was the gym - it was small - really not enough room for 2 doing weights but they have 2 peloton bikes, 2 elipiticals, and 2 treadmills so enough to do cardio!

All the staff I have encountered at the Kimpton are so professional and friendly. Really enjoy our stay everytime

Great property - it was very quiet and relaxing as was a block away from TimeSquare. Theatre’s were very close and walkable. Will stay again.

There are a lot of staff and people that work there but they are slow and unhelpful.

Perfect location for a visit to New York!

Really great stay overall super nice front staff and Val Hott

We were on the top floor and were still woken up by sirens. I’m not sure you can stay anywhere near Times Square and not have that happen. Location was great and we would stay here again.

We arrived 50 mins before check in time. It was a very hot day in July and we asked to check in. We were told due to being early, we’d be charged $50 ($1/minute I guess!), we were quite hot, the lobby area was warm and not comfortable, and right outside the lobby, the sidewalks were being ripped up, so it was very loud. We said that that was fine hoping to get out of the heat and the uncomfortable lobby area. Upon opening our room door, the air was stuffy and not cool. We called downstairs to ask for a different room, only to be told that the whole building since early that morning, had been experiencing air conditioning issues and that they were being worked on. I explained to the person that we had just checked in and were being charged for early check in but that no one had told us about these issues. We then had to wait an hour for the person who checked us in, to call us and fix the problem. The charge was to be taken off my bill. The room was never overly cold and we were told the rest of the building was like this and we couldn’t change rooms. The noise from the construction down below was a non issue over night. We checked out and our bill looked fine. Now I’ve checked my credit card and have a charge of $56 and I don’t know why. Guess it’ll be another phone call.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. They provide a microwave upon request

We stayed here for a girl’s trip in NYC. The service was great. I’d stay here again happily.
- 4/5
As for the room, it was spacious and clean however we did encounter a few gnats and ran out of toilet paper. Despite those minor issues, we had a good stay.

Boutique Hotel. Very nice!
- 4/5
Good location but noisy as expected. Staff not friendly as expected in NYC .
- 3/5
Location couldn't be better, lobby was very very small and crowed with check ins and out. The staff at front desk were very rude when I tried to check in their attitude seemed like they looked down on everyone, weren't one bit welcoming. Wouldn't return just because of the front of house staff only !!!!

Very nice

Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms.

This property was in an excellent location - close to a subway stop, wonderful for events in midtown, but also well located for going uptown or downtown, and not all that far from the park. It was a short walk into Hell's Kitchen for a change of scene. Inside it was quiet and peaceful, and very comfortable.
- 4/5
Just be aware of the construction & the charges after you check out had a little issue with that. Besides those issues I had a great experience.
- 5/5
Great location central to everything, you were a few minutes away from Times Square which was great as it was much quieter. The rooms were spacious for New York and nicely renovated. Would stay again and highly recommend!
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Great location, spacious room.
- 5/5
Great stay at the Theta. Staff was very friendly and room was large for NYC.
- 5/5
Great location if you are attending stage performances. Clean modern rooms
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Good location. Air conditioning wasn't working well.
- 3/5
The restaurant at the top charged $38.00 per person for a super basic continental breakfast that you could tell was literally the same as a buffet breakfast you would get included in your stay at a budget hotel.
- 4/5
I very much liked the location.. close to theaters, restaurants and parking. Only complaint was the air conditioning not working properly.
