I liked everything. And the staff was politeness was unique. From the reception to the kitchen from 1 to 10 , I give 11. As I said , everything was amazing! I do recommend, and I really will be back when I have the chance .

The roof terrace was incredible, the views at night were amazing. We found ourselves up there nearly every night just watching the world go by. Breakfast was great each morning, slightly different hot food offering each day but the same essentials every day; cereal, bagels, bread, fruit and yoghurts. Room was cleaned every day with fresh towels. Was 10 minute walk to time square and 2 minutes to nearest subway station. Would definitely stay here again.

This was truly a hotel we loved in terms of location. Since we enjoy walking, we were able to reach many of the city’s iconic places on foot. There was also a metro station near the hotel. In addition, the cleanliness of the hotel was satisfactory. I can also say that the breakfast was sufficient. The view from the hotel was absolutely amazing.

Plastic tasting scrambled "eggs", reformed bacon, acid-reflux inducing french toast. The coffee was homeopathic - looked and tasted like brown tinted water. We had the breakfast for the first day, then never went back! The room was pretty good, but the windows were dirty. Bed was comfortable. Shower worked well.

We were halfway up and had a view of the Empire State Building and the top of the Chrysler Building from our room. Excellent! Another unknown plus when booking was the rooftop patio for hotel guests, about 30 stories high. Super view! At most, there was about four others up there when we went up at twilight.

After my husband and I were already impressed with the hotel last year, we decided to return this year with a larger group. The hotel is in an excellent location, just a few minutes from two subway lines, and surrounded by plenty of bars, cafés, restaurants, and shops. We had two rooms – a Den for two people and a Suite for three. I had asked the hotel in advance if it would be possible to assign us rooms with a view of the nearby Empire State Building, and they kindly accommodated our request, which made us very happy. The view was simply stunning – overlooking the Empire State Building, with the Chrysler Building in the background and views along Sixth Avenue. The rooms were impeccably cleaned every day, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and always smiling. Breakfast was good and varied by American standards. The hotel has two elevators; most of the time we hardly had to wait. During peak hours it could take a few minutes but not too much. The shower had excellent water pressure. We also appreciated that the windows can be partially opened. The air conditioning worked perfectly and was not too loud. We never heard any noise from neighboring rooms or the hallway. The hotel also accepted our pre-ordered packages, which were already waiting for us in the room upon arrival. We would gladly return to this hotel again, as it once again met all of our expectations. The only suggestion we would make is to consider updating the pull-out sofa, as its surface was uneven and the third person did not have the same level of comfort as the other two in the suite bedroom. That said, the beds are very large and incredibly comfortable.

The rooftop terrace and the gym had amazing views! The bed was big enough for two and the bathroom was nice as well. The views from the room were also great and the location was perfect. The breakfast was also good. Wifi worked seamlessly during our stay. The elevators were quite crowded in the mornings so prepare for that. Some of the towels smelled like exhaust fumes (?) which was unpleasant.

Great location right in the middle of Manhattan. Easy subway access and grocery stores, restaurants, shopping and bakeries within walking distance. The rooms were very clean. Always helpful and friendly staff, particularly in the breakfast room. The breakfast was one of the best ones I had in American hotels: bread/pastries, sweet spreads, warm items, milk/yogurt, cereal and fresh fruit. The hotel has a rooftop with great views over the city. We liked in particular the option of booking rooms with a full kitchen. Long waiting times in front of the elevators were a bit annoying. It took usually a long time to get up and down

Exceptional

Unfortunately, I never made it. My flight was cancelled due to the accident at LaGuardia. I couldn’t get a flight until next day to a different airport. My flight again was delayed by hours, so that I wouldn’t get to NY until about 9pm. I had already lost 2 days of my 5 day trip. I had notified hotel right away but because I had checked in by phone on day 1 they won’t refund me. I was planning on going on Day 2 and did not want to lose the room. They could have partially refunded me and I would have been happy. I had used the hotel before but won’t be back. ☹️

The location is comfortable expecially because close to the subway. The room is too noisy, not only for the sound which was coming from the external but also for the internal furniture like the fridge. The sofa which was available as a third bed was uncomfortable also because broken!!

In desperate need of an update. I had to turn fridge off. Old and noisy. Carpets smelly. The worst however was the lack of sound insulation. The next door guest snoring kept me up all night.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with smiles. The staff was absolutely amazing. The manager was personable- super friendly and made us feel welcome. It was such a pleasure. If I could give a hundred stars- I would! The rooms were clean- big for NYC and the views were absolutely stunning. We had the best time in NYC and having a wonderful place to stay really made our whole trip something we will never forget! Thank you!

FULL breakfast on the house! Roof access with great views. Room had a full kitchen and bar top/table. More spacious than most NYC hotel rooms. Every staff member was friendly, attentive and interactive. The pillows had seen their better day. We asked for new ones but they were still pretty awful.

Location is good. Rooms are super small. A lot smaller than the photos on the booking site. I am claustrophobic and asked for a bigger room and they ask me to pay to upgrade. Bathroom is old; old fixtures, toilet etc. you have to wait for 10’min in the morning to get the elevator down. 2 elevators are totally insufficient for that building.

Location is why I booked but once we got to the hotel, the staff went above our expectations. I always heard how rude New Yorkers can be but no one at this hotel was rude but just the opposite. They were amazing. Kevin, the GM even walked my family to the subway entrance because he knew it was our first time riding the subway!

Comfy and staff were super helpful. Breakfast. but I knew based on other reviews what to expect. If you are staying here for the breakfast, you are doing yourself a disservice when there is such good food in the city. The bagel place right below the hotel is exceptional. This breakfast is not good but if you want something to tie you over till a later meal, then by all means visit it, but be prepared for an unsatisfying experience.

My family and I loved this hotel! We had a suite on a high floor and we had a gorgeous view of the Empire State Building! It had a washer/dryer combo (which came in handy when my 15 year old daughter stepped in snow slush and we had to dry her tennis shoes). It had a comfy sofa bed for her to sleep on and the bedroom had the same gorgeous views as the living area. The breakfast was pretty good and the staff was amazing! This hotel is also in a great location. Outside of the hustle and bustle but still walking distance from lots of things. Our stay here made our dream New York trip even better than we could have expected.

Overall, as a local from NYC, i had a great stay in Hyatt House Chelsea. There was an issue with duplicate booking that was resolved with the third party vendor Expedia/Hotels.com agents and in cooperation with the Hotel Manager named Vmitra. I initially spoke with the hotel supervisor about the issue but she gave me this tone of voice that felt like she didnt care at all. She just stated that they have a policy and that I should speak with the third party vendor instead. But i told her that the third party vendor wants to speak with the hotel manager. But the hotel supervisor was defensive saying the booking was canceled and the hotel didnt receive any payment from Expedia/Hotels.com. I kept on repeating that expedia wants to speak with hotel manager and the hotel supervisor kept on repeating that i have to speak and deal with this issue with Expedia instead. Anyway, issue was resolved and grateful that Hotel Manager Ms. Vmitra called me this morning. She provided an exceptional service. Thanks Vmitra.

They allowed us to do an early check-in so we could store our bags before our room was ready (free of charge) and they delivered bags to our room once it was ready! When we were done with the day we didn’t have to do anything! Very accommodating and free breakfast.

This hotel was a hidden gem! Definitely opt for the bigger room. It was huge for a NYC hotel room! We even had a terrace. The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. They offered daily breakfast and the location was central to everything. We love that the hotel was close to the subway lines. Would highly recommend.

I also booked a city view and the best thing I got was the 5th, and bottom most, floor with a view of an alley (all you could see was three building walls and trash). There were several issues with our room. The reading light was broken I hurt my head on several times. The TV did not work. We couldn’t switch through channels and the picture would continuously change. There were tears in the blankets. The water was either very cold or very hot. The room was a bit dated. The noise from the fan in the bathroom was quite loud. We were celebrating our son’s birthday and he was really looking forward to this stay there was a nice view. Most of the staff were nice. I wish we had a bit more assistance. The location was also next to a lot of shops and food.

Overall the hotel is very good. I may book again. Location is a plus. Breakfast needs improvement, understand the hotel is taking care of allergies and is having a flat same options everyday what became a bit boring. Other chains with same level of service level are providing better-more healthy options and for the price I would expect that. The service in the breakfast area is a GREAT plus though. The Subway station a PLUS just 2 mins walk. Nice service in the reception and concierge a nice gentleman. Very very clean and recently remodeled - I found some fallouts in my room from its design (the rooms are small as any other standard NYC hotel like this so space should be well thought) but the rooms are nice and modern…… just slight negatives guys you can stay here and would be great and the main entrance it is NOT in the main 6 Ave so it a plus for cars drop off-on with out the traffic risk

We had a studio room with kitchenette for 1 week (2 seperate reservations as had to extend stay). The room was plenty big enough with great views. Location is fantastic for Manhattan as a tourist. Lifts were not an issue the week we were there. Breakfast was maybe a bit the same every day if staying a week but fine. Breakfast bar staff and especially the reception staff were fantastic. There are hotels with better facilities but we would go back to this one no problem.

Having breakfast included was great because that removes one big decision in the morning. Breakfast is on the 2nd floor and it was good quality. The room, the staff, bathroom amenities were excellent. I would stay here again. The hotel has a great connectivity to subway, bus, rental Citi bikes, and also walking distance to many restaurant/ bat options.

My only complaints were the uncomfortable (extremely hard/stiff) beds and the wait for the elevators. The breakfast was not great either however, it was complementary so we didn’t have high expectations anyway. Overall it wasn’t a bad stay but I’m glad we didn’t stay multiple nights with the bed that uncomfortable

We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt House Chelsea. There were plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Our room had a beautiful view of the city and as well as the rooftop terrace.

The valet and check in service was wonderful. The location was super convenient to everything we wanted to experience and the hotel was clean and quiet.

The ac was very noisy in the room, we had to turn off at night in order to get some sleep, luckily the weather is still cold here. Otherwise it was ok, the location was very convenient surrounded with convenient stores and supermarkets,,. Walking distance to K-town and many more attractions

Room and views are amazing - we reserved the suite and the views are fantastic and you are right in the flower district. Signs are posted to let you know when breakfast is busy (nice touch) and that also applies to the elevator - you may stop at every floor... super friendly staff and had great suggestions for dining, entertainment, etc. Housekeeping was great, too!

The hotel was well located for my purposes. I could easily walk to all my appointments. There were lots of dining options as well. However, it was the friendliness of the staff that made this visit enjoyable. They were helpful, friendly, and at times had a wonderful sense of humor. They made me laugh which was something I didn’t expect in New York. Thanks!!

Room wasn't large and elevators were quite small, so were packed during breakfast times. Hotel is within walking distance to a number of attractions and metro. Friendly staff. Recommended.

My fiancée and I loved staying here because of it's location, and cleanliness. Such a close walk to MSG and a good amount of restaurants, quick bites, and clubs/bars. I feel asthough the rooms are reasonably priced for what you get. I have stayed here twice now and both times, I stayed in their King studio suite. Very worth the views and the space.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing and one of the most memorable experiences we've had in NYC! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The highlight was definitely our stunning view of the Empire State Building—waking up to that sight every morning was truly unforgettable. The hotel itself was beautiful, comfortable, and well-maintained. The complimentary breakfast was decent—nothing extravagant, but good enough to start the day. The service was great, and the location made it super convenient to explore the city. Overall, this is one of our favorite hotels in NYC, and we will definitely be returning! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic stay with an incredible view.

The hotel is in between Hudson Yards, Madison Square Garden and Empire State Building. Also not very far from Time Square. Plenty of dining, Bar and Coffee options. Breakfast was very good for a hotel breakfast.

This property is in pretty bad condition. Also, the hospitality is lacking from the minute you check in. They "don't have" a bell hop to help you with your luggage. That's real fun when you have a 5 month old and you're exhausted from jet lag. I had to tip the security guard to help us with our luggage. The room is run down and needs a facelift. Breakfast was pretty bad, I have had better breakfast at a holiday inn express. I went across the street to McDonald's. Upon checking out, they want a 45 minute advance notice to get your car from valet. I called an hour early and was told " your too early, your going to get a ticket". WOW, excellent service! How about not. A ticket in front of your own hotel? This hotel made me want to get a "I hate New York" t shirt. After checking out my wife and I drove by the Ritz Carlton, I said next time we're going there even if I have to eat top ramen for a month to pay for it

staff went over and above to accommodate us. it says that you have a bar and restaurant which you don't.

The gym had a nice photo op balcony of the city, and some of our friends who ate breakfast said it was good. For hotel notes Room 2501 or 2504 I don't remember, one of the shower heads doesn't come on, but the other one does, and it works fine, also we never saw the magnet to cover the night light, but again not a huge deal for us. Our crew enjoyed the feeling of safety, and the cleanness of the area. You were all pleasant to all of us, even when we were in the lobby waiting on our guest to come down for several minutes. Thanks again!

It was a clean room with lots of close by transportation options. Really enjoyed the kitchenette and breakfast.

Need more lights in room as a little dingy. No cover on duvet just a sheet which i didnt like.

Amazing views from our room of the Empire State Building and 6th Ave. great location we walked everywhere over our 5 night stay. MSG is 10 min walk and subway at the end of the side street. Would stay here again.

I so want to give this property a total 5! Just for note, the beds were really really firm. I bit much for me but the sound proof windows and so few rooms per floor made it totally doable to get a good nights sleep. Already looking to book this place again for next year!

The toilet roll holder and toilet lid both fell off during our stay. But the staff were incredibly nice and our room had a great view.

Very comfortable and clean place. Near various attractions but not a fan of the parking fee that is not even on site. Very frustrating to pay such a high price for valet parking every time we used our car.

Stay was lovely but I didn’t like how I was lied to about the checkout time. They also tried charging me a $150 cleaning fee because I had a couple of fake rose petals on the floor. In order to bypass that fee I had to take a broom and clean it myself. I feel like that was very lazy of the cleaning staff.

Great location in New York, everything is easy to walk to , Times Square , Rockefeller and Empire State Building. Great view of the Empire State Building from our room which was great.

I chose this hotel because of the kitchenette and area. The area is great, very walkable to many things and close access to just about anything you need. We definitely liked the convenience. The room was on a corner, so we had great views. But the room itself was worn out. The couch needs to be replaced, it was dirty and had lost its shape. We put blankets over it because it seemed so dirty. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Great location, with subways very close. easy to catch cab on 6th street. Hotel very quiet at nite , great breakfast, very helpful front desk staff. This is a tall hotel, elevators can get full fast, especially in mid morning hours. Would stay here on next trip and highly recommend

I booked a high floor King Suite. I got the 29th floor with stunning views. Location was great with short subway ride to all my things. However, the hotel itself is what this is about. Check in was smooth. Only two elevators for the entire building..all 30 floors. Breakfast was quality I found in elementary and middle school and not in a good way. Worst hotel breakfast I have ever had. The bed was a king bed, but the bed was super hard. The bedding had a plastic crinkle and was also very rough. The pillows were smaller than a throw pillow they had on the couch and also not comfortable. It took several of them to get halfway comfortable. After a day of exploring your hotel room should be your place of tranquility. Also, even though on the 29th floor you can hear sirens allllll night and music blaring from the pedicab drivers. It was far from relaxing. Wont be returning to this hotel.

We had a fantastic stay! Christmas in NYC! Great location and close to MSG. Staff were wonderful. Room was very clean. We felt very safe. Loved the noon check out!
