Reviews
The hotel is praised for its excellent location near Penn Station and other attractions, as well as its friendly and helpful staff. However, the breakfast service is consistently criticized for running out of food and not being refilled, and the rooms are often described as small and outdated.

Location Breakfast buffet Comfortable queen beds Issue with check-out payment. After checkout, we got our deposit refunded, but a couple of hours later we were wrongly charged for using bottles of water we didn't even touch. Finally refunded after 2 weeks.

We really liked our stay. Great Location, no wait for elevators or breakfast unlike other midtown hotels, decent size room (we fit with 2 kids), nice variety at breakfast for free, coffee or tea 7/24 for free, they store your luggage or amazon packs for free, helpful staff. It might not be a five star hotel but price performance wise it is great. Highly recommended! A small detail but the lobby has an odd smell. A simple and cheap Air Wick would be game changer!

It was really nice and comfortable to stay here very pleasing and helpful staff at front desk. Loveed the location too hopefully on our next visit we will prefer this same hotel Hampton Inn Madison Square Garden Regards

Fantastic experience! Everyone was super nice and they held our bags behind the counter for us while we walked around the city. Clean hotel and they provided breakfast! Super close to Penn station very convenient.

There is a market in front of the hotel The location is good—if you like noise and chaos. The area is noisy even in the early hours of the morning; on my last day, city workers were breaking up the asphalt all night long. Hotel maintenance is terrible; in my room, the bathroom had leaks and rusty fixtures. The towels were stained. I do not recommend this hotel.

Bien ubicado. El ascensor muy lento.

It was convenient because it was close to places I needed to be at that time. Best part is this place is very close to my fave Japanese restaurant- Ichiran. This is a good place for a quick NYC trip.

Carpets and furniture are pretty worn. Bathroom clean. Ice makers were functional on 2 floors (of 19). Staff was generally fantastic, but they billed my credit card again for what had been paid through expedia. They said they would fix this, and I believe them, but I haven't seen the credit to my card yet.

Very good overall, clean, nice rooms and the staff is so nice. Would use again and recommend.
- 3/5
Room was adequate but work desk MUCH too small. When sitting at desk, your roommate could not access the too small closet. TV worked inconsistently with unexplained self turning off situations. Shower curtain did not keep bathroom floor dry. Tiny wash sink had very slow water that never varied from cold water.

The rooms were very simple and clean. Great space for NY. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for those that are taking the train- it’s really close to Penn station. We walked to see a show and have dinner and it was very easy. Lots of great shops and food choices nearby. Would definitely stay there again!

After I adjusted temp it dropped to 64* Engineer came to reset but turned on heat and the room was 85* within 2 hrs Engineer came back at 1 am, worked on unit & said it was fixed. Middle of the night it was very cold again so I turned unit off. It was 70* in room when I got up! Unacceptable

Our room was clean and comfortable, it was quiet at night and air conditioner struggled but it worked well enough. Staff was kind, professional and helpful. Breakfast was good, furniture around the property is a little care-worn and needs updating and refreshing, but overall was a highly positive spot that was great to come back to after long days of exploring NYC. Great central location as well.

Location was great, room was comfortable and clean, just very small (but not unlike most NYC hotels). My daughter is gluten and dairy free - eating breakfast was tough.

The place is located in a prime spot, but the fire exits were blocked due to remodeling. I had a remodeled room, but the shower had large black spots on the floor.

Hotel is in walkable distance to Time Square and we liked it, but Some times you need to wait 20 to 30 minutes to get the elevator at your floor, big patience game.. everything else is just perfect. Thanks..

Having to use elevators was time consuming. They were remodeling upper floors 2 days while we were there and it was really difficult to get an elevator up or down. Even when they stopped using the elevator for remodel the more people at the hotel made waiting difficult and the elevators were packed and sometimes you had to wait for another elevator. The staff and cleaning were friendly and helpful.
- 0.5/5
Only localizatiib and staff Rating a lot to be desired we came after a 20-hour journey in 8 people it turned out on that day the rooms we booked 3 months earlier for us are not there because the hotel began on that day renovation after 3 hours of waiting finally we managed to locate. With the fact that the daily waiting several times a day for 15 minutes for the elevator because one was blocked by the staff who renovated the rooms, and it killed us that after a few days of stay at 22 when the children were sleeping, the staff came and ordered us to change the rooms because ours had to renovate the room was an exaggeration we had 30 minutes to pack and move to another room. In general, only the location was great and the staff was nice, the rooms were cleaned daily, but the hotel was not the first freshness.

Breakfast was fine and location was good, and room size was small for normal cities but good for NYC.

Check in / out was easy . Helpful staff . Breakfast was typical but hot they kept it full and clean . Good staff . The room is very small so be aware . The plugs by bed were loose made it hard to charge my phone . The beds were not very comfortable which was disappointing. Nice beds is why I choose Hampton hotels . They were in the process of updating them the day we left so that’s good .The room was clean just a bit dated . Shower was great with very hot water so be careful . The location is great and close to everything, right in the middle of manhattan. Serano’s Italian a few doors down was delicious, get the pasta or pizza not the eggplant . Tirimisu was so good !! Bagel Pub nearby was amazing . Our Lyft was at 130p and front desk was happy to tag and store our luggage after we checked out at noon . All in all a good stay , I would book again

Location, breakfast and comfort of the room. The perskn who checked us in wasn't welcoming at all. No smile, wasn't nice nor caring. We arrived e hours earlier so I asked if they could keep the luggage while we go out, she did a great thing by alocating a room that was ready so we didnt have to wait, but she wasn't nice about it nor explained or sell the extra mile she was giving... The same day we checked in i called to report that the wifi wasn't working and she even hung up before confirming if i needed anything else.

I was very happy with the stay. We had booked the room to attend a concert at Madison square garden. I was so glad I did. With never being to New York before and driving in it to the city, it was great to find out Madison Square Garden was at the end of the block from the hotel and we were able to walk. It was also very close to were you come out of the Lincoln tunnel coming into the city. The lay out they had for their breakfast was outstanding, and very delicious! I myself who is very particular, will book here again. The only reason I gave a 4 was the outlet in our bathroom did not work so had to dry my hair in beside the bed, but that is something they can easily fix. The room was clean and was comfortable.
- 1/5
Room is TINY, restrooms are dirty, lobby has dirty and torn couches, AND the wall in our room had a hole that was just covered with wallpaper.
- 4/5
Nice clean and tidy room. Hotel is a bit dated and tired looking but you get what you pay for and this is one of the cheapest in the area that includes breakfast. Great location 2 minute walk from Penn station and 10 minutes to times square. Towels and linen all very clean. Room was a bit compact. Not much floor space and no hooks to hang coats up. Never used Aircon unit. It did appear very old. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok. Waffle machine was good how ever the hot food selection was basic and highly processed poor quality. Breakfast area can get very busy at peak times. Only minor quibbles but would recommend if you just want a cheap and cheerful place to explore the city.
- 4/5
The breakfast had a good variety of foods and the room was comfortable. The only negative, is how small and tight the room was.

A clean and basic hotel with free buffet breakfast, great position near Penn Station and the hotel had very friendly hardworking staff.Iwould recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget and not bothered about staying in the hotel.
- 2/5
There was a Barking dog in the room next to us but staff wouldn’t intervene. The dog barked all night and we could not sleep. I was disappointed with how hotel staff handled it.
- 3/5
Room was clean. Pet friendly. The water took a half hour to warm up. The elevator was broken. The room and beds were small and uncomfortable. Offered free breakfast but did not have forks to eat with.
- 1/5
The only good thing about this hotel is its location; everything else is in urgent need of renovation. As the first impression of New York for international tourists, it falls completely short. On my first night, I had to switch rooms because the air conditioning wasn't working. Later, I had to wait over 25 minutes to get shower gel because the supply had run out—something the staff didn't even notice when they serviced the room. As for breakfast, I can't offer an opinion, as I chose to eat at a restaurant every day of my stay. The beds and pillows were fine; the water pressure was excellent, and there was always plenty of hot water. However, the air conditioning unit itself was so filthy that it looked like a breeding ground for germs.
- 2/5
Location only False marketing as the pictures of the hotel and rooms are not accurate. Hotel is falling apart and not clean
- 5/5
Excellent stay right in the middle of midtown. Close to everything you are looking for. Clean rooms and great customer service. If you’re not an early riser to catch their tasty breakfast. The area has a wonderful selection of bakeries, restaurants and stores you can get a delicious bite.
- 4/5
Everything was good, nice room, hotel pretty central
- 1/5
The location was perfect, the staff was kind and helpful, but the rooms were small and the dark. The water in the sink and the tub wasn’t draining so everytime you used it, it was backed up. The shower curtain was U shaped and was striped so when in the shower the curtain fell to the middle leaving the sides open for all the water to get out on the floor
- 5/5
Our stay was amazing, the location is very good. We felt very well staying here, their night receptionist Rico was so attentive always asking if we needed anything and how we were doing.
- 4/5
Victor at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful from check-in to checkout
- 2/5
The location is fantastic and the staff were kind. Unfortunately, the toilet in our room did not work (ever, from the first time it was flushed). When I mentioned this, they said it would be taken care of. We explored the city all day and returned late at night to discover we still didn’t have a working toilet. For weeks I tried to discuss this with Miguel, the manager, by phone and he explained basic plumbing to me, essentially saying there is nothing wrong with their plumbing. They offered an extremely small refund, stating that is “fair.” Thankfully we had family in two others rooms and were able to use their bathrooms (although, it was certainly an added inconvenience for them). If you feel a working toilet is an important part of a hotel room/travel experience, I’d recommend you try to stay elsewhere.
- 2/5
However, the day we checked out we had asked if we could hold our bags at the hotel so we could see more of the city. We were assured that that was okay and that our bags would be locked in a separate room. So we checked them in and were given a ticket for our return and were told to leave our bags on the floor between the desk and elevator. Upon returning for our bags we were taken to a room where only (3) of our (4) bags were located. We mentioned that we were missing one. They took us to their pantry where other doors were being held and still no bag. It wasn't until we searched the rooms multiple times that the clerk told us there was a theft earlier in the day and my bag must have been one stolen. She called the police and asked them to come take a statement. Outside of that, though, I was offered no more than laundry bags to offer me storage since that my lost bag part of my luggage used for my plane. Ultimately the situation put a very sour taste in my mouth as to what was otherwise a pleasant stay.

Close to where we were going. Clean Great employees Nothing
- 2/5
Great location to MSG as well as other interesting sites in NYC. Unfortunately our reservation was messed up and I was called to get my bags out of the room. I explained I was at the Big East tournament game but the manager insisted I meet with her. I brought my Expedia reservation and resolved this issue but missed games as a result. Horrible experience
- 3.5/5
It’s centrally located which is nice! The staff were very friendly. I had a two hour delay and they called me to check on me and make sure I’m still coming in which is really nice. The first room that we were in the AC wasn’t working. It was just blowing hot air so we had to call the front desk and the maintenance man seemed very upset and I’m happy that he had to come and fix it. When he decided that he couldn’t fix it, he moved us or had us moved to another room, which ended up being dirty from the last people who were in it, not terribly, but you could tell it was cleaned hastily. All in all for what it is it’s a decent hotel but don’t expect super cleanliness.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn Madison Square Garden on a business trip with a group of high school exchange students. I originally booked two rooms, but upon arrival I realized the rooms were much smaller than expected. Because of this, I asked about adding a third room to better accommodate my group. At check‑in, the front desk staff member verbally quoted me a rate of approximately $150 per night for the additional room. I clarified and repeated the numbers back to her to make sure we both understood the rate—especially since she appeared distracted, talking on the phone and with another employee during the process. Based on that information, I agreed to book the third room. However, when I later saw the final bill, the charges for that third room totaled close to $890, which was nowhere near the price I was quoted. I was never told that the nightly rates fluctuated drastically from day to day, and this lack of communication directly affected my decision to book the extra room. When I contacted Hilton Guest Assistance, every response focused solely on explaining how their rate structure can change nightly... something I already understood. What was not addressed was the actual issue: I was misquoted the rate at check‑in, and that misinformation led me to make a decision I would not have made otherwise. As someone who travels frequently with students and books multiple rooms at Hilton/Hampton properties each year, this experience has caused me to seriously question the brand’s transparency and reliability. Being provided correct information at check‑in should be a basic expectation, and Hilton’s unwillingness to acknowledge the misquote or offer a meaningful resolution was extremely disappointing. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously. Guests deserve accurate, distraction‑free communication, especially when making decisions that significantly affect their stay and budget.

The rooms are a little depressing but the elevators are fast and the free breakfast was good. Great location. We did not even touch the waters in the room and were charged for them. Made a quick call to the hotel explaining the situation and I was reimbursed, however while trying to deal with rebooking cancelled flights and having to move hotel since this one was full and had to stay 1 more night…. Making a call to the hotel to have this charged removed was very irritating when in the middle of a stressful situation.

It was a basic city hotel room. I didn't have a problem with that. i was bothered by the HVAC system which kicked on and off throughout the night and kept waking me up

The bathroom was incredibly small and the water kept getting all over the floor from the shower. The room felt like a dorm and there wasn’t a fridge or microwave. We checked out and it was a little after 12:30pm and the front desk lady said there’s a late fee so they charged us $25. Horrible service considering how long I’ve been a Hilton honors member. Definitely would not recommend this hotel.

The staff was fabulous. The location is great if attending an event at MSG. The hotel itself is dated and needs some upgrades. The street noise was really bad, and we stayed on the 7th floor.

Excellent location and friendly staff. Two issues - one of the lifts wasn't working for several days which meant I had to carry our luggage down from our room and one morning there was a very very limited breakfast.

No drawers for clothes. Coffee maker did not work. Shower leaked because doors did not close properly. View bleak. Probably the least satisfactory room I have had in NYC.

STAFF, CLEAN ROOM and GREAT BREAKFASTS!
- 5/5
Very clean, staff was nice close to airport plus ride to and from the airport is a plus!
- 3/5
I'm not sure what could be done, but our room was near the elevator. Each time it opened or closed, there was a loud banging.
- 2/5
Way over priced vs other competing hotels in the area. No microwave? Towel handler kept falling off the wall. Ac kept changing temperature to its own temp vs what I would set it at. Could hear every footstep on that floor.
- 2/5
The staff was courteous and tried to help but couldn't. Our room temp was set on 72° and our room was very small. It was way to hot and we could not adjust the temperature. It was miserable
- 4/5
Friendly staff and helpful!
- 3/5
Staff was very nice. Room 206 was not the best. Shower did not stay hot. The sink faucet needs to be fixed so the spout is pointed more toward the bowl. The heating unit still came on even when turned off and was loud.
- 5/5
Very convenient to everything
- 3/5
Hotel was fine, room was cleaned daily and the one issue we had for repair was dealt with right away, staff were friendly and helpful. My only issue is we weren’t aware there was to be a $50 per person deposit to be paid on arrival, we had to pay $200 at check in which is not ideal when you are only there for a short break from the UK not only did that eat in to spending money but I have now been home for 5 days and still waiting on the refund to hit my account
- 5/5
Room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
The staff were very patient and friendly. The rooms were serviced regularly and kept tidy. The location was ideally located for our purposes. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family
- 3/5
The wallpaper was falling off the walls in our room. The dining area was messy. Maybe they were short staffed.
- 2/5
Our room was way too small for 4 people. We had no where to put our suitcase. Had to put on the bed to open every time. Breakfast was not good. Staff were very nice.
- 5/5
Very smooth check in, room is clean and exactly as promised. Very happy with stay so far!

Always a good stay at Hampton
- 5/5
Staff was great, the room was the best. Good location.
- 4/5
The hotel was good, but it was a little tired. My desk chair could no longer elevate. The hall carpet needed vacuuming. But the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. The staff was very friendly. The price was competitive.
- 4/5
Cleanliness, great location
- 4/5
Complimentary hot breakfast was nice. Luggage hold didn’t seem very secure, luggage was spread out all around the front desk and lobby. Location was great.
- 4/5
The room was clean but I didn’t like that we didn’t even have a small fridge :/
- 1/5
They had no record of my stay booked and paid through your company ….i had to pay another amouny to get a room ….i need refund from you as I had no booking and I paid already
- 4/5
Typical Hampton Inn clean rooms, sub par continental bkfst, Unfriendly staff. But Hey its NYC cant expect much from a nice hotel in the middle of dumpy Koreatown.
- 4/5
Nice breakfast. Clean room. Though I dont know why I was charged after check out
- 3/5
Great location, easy access to almost everything. However, it compensates with room size and its cleanliness
- 3/5
poor breakfast choices but staff excellent
- 4/5
It was overall good. It wasn’t my favorite place to stay in New York.
- 5/5
Staff made every effort despite some shortages Room service every day Super bed furnishings Great bathroom with good quality products Noisy air conditioning
- 3/5
Hotel feels tired- they have sweated the asset. Breakfast was poor and the heating/aircon in the room is very noisy when it kicks in.
- 5/5
They were able to hold our luggage prior to check in so we could ramble around. Great service.
- 2/5
Room was dirty wear and tear bad smell from room
- 3/5
The ice machine didn't work after a certain time.
- 1/5
Sent to a sister hotel that didn’t provide same accommodations and cost me more overall that provided horrible service. Avoid Hilton.
- 5/5
Location can’t be beat. Hotel has its quirks like 2 elevators for 19 floors (can take awhile to get one during peak times.) The staff was so friendly and helpful at all times.
- 4/5
Excellent location and friendly service
- 4/5
Varied breakfast with healthy options. Room was very clean. Many shops near by and accessible places to eat.
- 3/5
Really great location on 31st stree, right by Penn station and the Empire State Building. The room was dated but clean, reception were helpful. The breakfast was pretty standard but only paper plates and plastic cutlery were available which was a big ick! Overall it was nice enough, just what we needed but not impressed by the breakfast utensils!
- 3/5
Rooms were small but ok
- 3/5
The hotel was nice and clean. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating.
- 5/5
Near Madison Square Garden and a lot of restaurants. Staff were friendly and they had free cookies one day
- 4/5
Clean room everyday, shopping nearby. Small convenient room if you're going to spend your days outside.
- 5/5
Excelente, todo limpio buen servicio y transporte accesible
- 4/5
Clean rooms, friendly check-in people close to train station
- 5/5
Clean and friendly staff
- 4/5
Sparse, almost spartan, the hotel has everything you need but no perks. Rooms are larger than in most hotels of this kind. The doors are generally noisy, so they can wake you up at all hours if your neighbours happen to arrive late or leave the room early. It is very conveniently located for those of us who want to stay close to Penn Station. It is expensive, though, for a three star hotel.
- 5/5
Nice small hotel, very close to Penn Station, very convinient.

- 5/5

- 5/5
All the staff were very friendly and polite . My only bad point was the bed was very creaky.
- 3/5
Staff were helpful, room small but convenient area
- 4/5
Property was in a super location accessible to many of the top sites in New York City all within walking distance
- 5/5
Tres bon hôtel
- 4/5
Convenient location
- 3/5
It was clean and breakfast was great. But the valet parking was not valet parking. My car sat on the street for almost 3 hours after check in, until I went to the front desk to ask why, and the person was very unresponsive and unsympathetic and unhelpful. I then went across the street and asked the parking garage attendant to come and get it. I ended up having to drive my own car to the garage, all while leaving my two young children alone in a hotel room. The whole thing felt very unsafe and not what I was expecting when I read that they had valet parking!
- 4/5
Is nice hotel
- 5/5
The hotel is in a great location only about a five minute walk to Madison Square Garden. There are also a lot of places for shopping that are super close as well as food options. The staff was nice and helpful. The rooms are small, which is normal for New York, but clean. Our bathroom was also super small as well but again that’s normal for the city. The only thing that was dusty was our AC machine. It was really dusty in the vent part.
- 4/5
It wasn't bad. Place looks a little worn out and the veds were a little hard. The location was good and customer service is great! I would stay there again.
- 3/5
Basic and dated, rooms were ok. Very noisy air con.
- 5/5
This is the perfect place to stay to see a show at Madison Square Garden. The hotel room is clean and adequate.
- 4/5
The room was cleaned. I'd complain only about the AC, was too cold, loudly and we weren't able to turn it off.
- 5/5
All you need at a reasonable cost! Rooms are compact but all you need to sleep and relax in between city activities
- 4/5
Hotel was in a very convenient location. Room was in good condition. Limited to two elevators which wait was long at some points. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was okay. Easy check in and check out process.
- 4/5
Great location, everything is very close by. The hotel itself is old and needs renovation, with outdated lobby furniture and worn-out room outlets. Breakfast was standard, but the staff were excellent and kindly returned an item we forgot after checkout.
- 4/5
The hotel is good, has breakfast included is so good, in general I recommend
- 3/5
Let me start by saying, I don’t think this is the staff’s fault. But when we arrived I was told our booking was cancelled. I was told I was sent an email, but nothing was sent. I showed the lovely manager my app, and my reservation was still active online and said booked. Luckily she was about to rebook my reservation. But for about 25 minutes, I was scared that I didn’t have accommodations. The room was tiny, but VERY clean.
- 4/5
I would stay here again in the future. Thank you
- 3/5
Breakfast was mediocre at best.
- 5/5
Quick overnight to MSG. Very close and convenient. Friendly staff and good breakfast
- 5/5
Employees of facility were excellent & friendly
- 5/5
.
- 2/5
Worn, tattered and dismal. Dingy and dated. The absolute worst 'free' breakfast ever. No cream, no milk, no napkins and picked over scraps of food. I normally like Hampton inns. This is the worst i have ever seen.
- 5/5
excelent!
- 5/5
Hampton Inn always does such a great job at making my stay great! Thank you
- 1/5
Hotel looks old-room was dirty, had a weird smell, air conditioning was not working properly. While I only needed a room as a stopover for a night, I would not stay her again.
- 4/5
That's about it.
- 3/5
Centrally located, near Penn Station. Basic hotel, overpriced for what's offered, but the front desk staff were lovely.
- 5/5
Excellent value
- 5/5
Had our doubts when we walked in but rooms were clean, good size, staff was so nice, breakfast included!
- 5/5
Perfect place for one night in the city.
- 5/5
The hotel staff was so friendly. Check in was easy. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable.
- 4/5
The highlight was the free breakfast! I’m very picky so I was shocked to see all the items available. Fresh fruit, oatmeal, fresh made waffles, eggs, toast, sausage, yogurt , tea and coffee.
- 4/5
Good
- 2/5
Because my claim went unanswered, I decided to give them two stars.
- 4/5
The rooms are clean but quite dated in their decor. The bed is comfortable. The air conditioning unit is quite noisy but it didn’t stop me from sleeping (and I’m a light sleeper!). There was no noise from the street. The staff are generally helpful, but not always particularly happy or cheerful! The location is ideal. 3 minutes from Penn Station which connects to Jamaica Station via LIRR, from there the AirTrain goes direct to JFK Terminals. Really cheap to transfer from airport, very little walking involved, plenty of seats on the LIRR trains which are all air conditioned (very welcome in the New York heat and humidity in the summer!). You can easily walk to Time Square, Empire State etc which are all within a 10-15 minute walk. If you like to walk you can get to lower Manhattan in about an hour or so walk, or similarly uptown to Central Park. Overall, for the price, it is a clean hotel with a nice free breakfast, and a great central location with easy access to the Subway and LIRR transport systems. I would stay there again.
- 3/5
No internet
- 3/5
the thing that I like the most was the ubication, I took the MTA all days and there is a station 3 street away and it looks to be one of the main stations because almost all the subways and buses leave us there
- 4/5
Area was decent, close to time square and places to eat and shop. Hotel could use a little updating but, room was clean and staff was friendly.
- 4/5
staff was on it. the last night, the air conditioner unit was very loud, and wouldnt set on low, so it was either too cold or off. on the last night it wouldnt work at all, didnt feel like trying to get it fixed at midnight when we had to get up at 430 for an early flight, so just suffered with a stuffy room.
- 4/5
I wish breakfast options would had been more included for those who can eat pork. Also I had to called to have trash emptied because room service is every other day which is fine but I feel like trash should had been emptied daily. Other than those comments it was great
- 4/5
Breakfasts weren't labeled. Meat and veggie options weren't separated.
- 3/5
Service was good and room was clean. One issue was with the air condoning which was very loud while on through the night. This did not sound normal.
- 4/5
Got charged $25 after checking out so I will be chasing up with hotel. As everything was paid for in advance and when we checked out, staff said we were “all good”
- 5/5
Great location, nice restaurants around:
- 4/5
La habitación estaba bien! El baño súper amplio, el desayuno rico!
- 5/5
Very nice clean and comfortable hotel
- 1/5
Gave our room away after we had reservations and told us we were not a priority because we did not book for 3 to 4 nights. The room they gave us only had one bed and it had water damaged with mold and mildew.
- 4/5
The area is close to all shopping and dining, close to time square
- 4/5
Room was small, but overall a nice, clean and safe hotel close to transportation options
- 5/5
Love the area around this hotel and the staff is always so nice and welcome! My go to hotel when I go to NYC!
- 4/5
Room was clean. Staff very nice. Breakfast was pretty decent. Air conditioning was terrible and the room was quite warm which made sleeping a bit difficult. Overall not a bad stay just wish it wasn’t 100 degrees in the shade with no ac on the 12 floor!
- 4/5
Good option
- 5/5
.
- 3/5
The elevator was horrendously slow and the lobby seating is old torn and stained.
- 5/5
I loved how it was close to the train station and subway.
- 3/5
The location of the property is perfect. Walking distance or near subway to almost every attraction. The rooms are very small for a family of four. For the six days we stayed the breakfast area was over crowded everyday & it was not kept very clean. But for the price & location it was an okay stay.
- 5/5
A great place to stay being close to metro and many attractions. Having breakfast included is a great bonus just get down early as there is not a lot of seating.
- 4/5
It was great, except for the mattress sinking in the middle.
- 3/5
The room was tiny but we were only there for one night so it was fine. The air conditioner randomly started blowing hot air multiple times. I ordered “room service” via the QR code provided and it never showed up, but I did get a refund for that. The ice maker on the closest floor didn’t work. Overall it was fine for one night but I would have been uncomfortable if we’d had to stayed any longer.
- 5/5
Front desk person, Edwin, was very helpful and pleasant.
- 3/5
I have always enjoyed my stay here while seeing a show but the rooms I've stayed in before had more room than this one. The bathroom sink alone was the tiniest one I have ever seen! The room was just very small and awkward and uninviting. The staff was great and efficient and friendly.
- 3/5
Rooms are on the small side, 2 adults sharing a twin room was a struggle for space, just 1 small closet to hang clothes, nowhere to put cases or bags. Only 2 lifts, meaning you could be waiting up to 15 minutes for a lift at busy times of the day, it doesnt help that the hotel cleaning staff also use the same lifts.
- 4/5
Very small room, but it worked. The breakfast was great with lots of variety. The small elevators were often packed and required patience.
- 4/5
In general terms was very good our stayed.
- 5/5
Hampton inn is a great, clean place to stay. the staff is easy to work with and quick.
- 4/5

- 5/5
- 5/5
Great service!
- 5/5
Very clean, great service and excellent location.
- 5/5
The room service was absolutely impecable. Lovely area around the block from Madison Square Garden.
- 5/5
Air conditioning didn’t work. Not enough breakfast items available. They are overpriced.
- 5/5
Great staff. Room was clean and decent quality. It was really quiet. We accidentally left our door open for about 5 hours and had no issues with theft.
- 2/5
Easy to get to from train station. Check in took forever and they gave us keys to our room 35 minutes later. When we opened the door, there was someone else in the room. Outlets in room didn’t work. Room was never cleaned and we had no toilet paper. Breakfast not good and too crowded. Food was cold. Manager seemed like he didn’t really care but the desk staff was nice. Wouldn’t recommend if you are looking for a nice place to stay.
- 3/5
Good location. Needs updating.
- 5/5
Conveniently located for Penn Station and therefore other attractions in NYC.
- 5/5
Our go-to NYC hotel for a comfortable stay in a reasonable price range. Perfect for every type of visit--work or pleasure!
- 3/5
Convenient and centrally located. Staff were lovely and breakfast was good.
- 3/5
Poor breakfast, ran out of bread/pastries/fruit and very limited choice outside of this. No breakfast tea choice only flavoured tea. No milk availability outside of breakfast time for UK tea drinkers despite being offered free tea/coffee throughout the day. Bar 1 receptionist who was helpful on our last day the staff were surly. Room cleaning was good although we had to ask for toilet paper which hadn’t been replenished. Leave an extra 10-15 minutes to get the lift to go downstairs as there are only 2 lifts and in the morning they are so bad we walked down the stairs a few times.
- 1/5
I will not stay here again. They really need to update their rooms. The 1st room I was in the sink didn't work. They didn't have a plug to let the water out of the sink. I had to fight to get the water down the drain. The iron board wouldn't work. The legs on it was broke. I tried to get it to stand and it kept falling down. Lastly they had this tall mirror in both rooms that had this dirty big stain on it. It was a permanent stain. The second day I was able to move to a room that not accessible which they gave me the first time. I was told they overbooked. The 2nd room had the big mirror with the brown permanent stain on it again and the ac was so loud that I couldn't get any sleep. I tried turning it off and sleeping. But it was too hot. Overall I didn't enjoy my stay. I also shared this with Hilton Honors who I also am a member. I could of booked through them. But the prices on their site were for the same room. Oh let me not forget they put me near a utility closet. So I could hear the workers right next to me. My stay was horrible. I will NOT ever stay there again. But I do wonder if I booked from Hilton I would of gotten a better room. The best thing about the hotel is the location. Its near 34 Street.
- 3/5
This was a well located property. Staff were helpful. The rooms could use updating and maintenance.
- 3/5
Free breakfast was good. Price was very good. Very small area, however, for breakfast so when crowded, gets tight. Rooms also very small. Was very hard for 4 people to get around the room and not enough room to keep our bags out. Staff very responsive to any room needs. Has ice machines and water dispensers to refill water bottles. Noise from street outside the hotel at all hours, because it is New York. Location was further from time square than I would have like, but very convenient to Amtrak at Penn Station and easier to go south to lower Manhattan. Subway right down the street and around the corner.
- 5/5
The location was very convenient. The hotel was well maintained and secure. We really enjoyed our stay!!
- 2/5
Also, the breakfast room is tiny and overcrowded. If you're expecting the typical level of service at a Hampton Inn, you'll probably be disappointed.
- 1/5
It was a very ugly experience, they stole my wedding ring
- 2/5
AC controller never worked therefore causing the room to be loud and cold. Reported the problem daily. The staff did respond and seemed caring but never got it fixed.
- 5/5
My friend and I stayed for 3 nights and overall we had a good experience! The restrooms were very clean, our bed was comfortable and every day room service offered to clean even though we were previously told it would be every other day. The only issue with our room was the AC was clearly not working correctly. Our room was extremely damp and warm our entire stay and the AC was so loud that it would disrupt our sleep. We didn’t check out the free breakfast, but still thought that was a nice addition in case we ever wanted it.
- 5/5
great stay
