Clean room, very spacious and comfortable lounge with lots of book, a huge screen TV and a breakfast/snack area. Air conditioning was great on a super hot day! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Staff was extremely friendly on both check in and out. The room was very large for a NYC hotel and very clean. Beds were comfy as was accessory furnishings with a great view from the 28 th floor.

The staff has been very helpful and the location is great. However, i miss room service or a better cafetería. No room service and ordering out requires to go downstairs which is uncomfortable for séniors with disabilities.

Rooms are big, which is great. Everything was awesome but the pillows, tiny and thin. Bedding looked like it was a bit small for mattress. Other than that, all was great.

My reservation was booked Sunday-Thursday. We arrived at the hotel after midnight (12:15) When we went to check into the hotel we were informed that there had been a problem with our reservation and that we had been relocated to a different hotel. We had just taken an uber from the airport, which meant that we had to arrange another uber to a different hotel. The front staff was not very helpful or friendly. They just kept telling me that something happened in their system and could not give anymore information. The Courtyard told us that there was a room already reserved and had been paid for. We scheduled another uber to the new hotel. We arrived at the new hotel and they did NOT have a reservation for us. We had to call the Courtyard back and they told me that they were told that it had been arranged. After some discussion between the two hotels, the hotel got us into a room but I had to pay for it. The next morning I called to see if my room would be ready at the Courtyard and the front staff told me that check in is at 4! The person I talked to was not friendly. She told me that there was not much they could do. I asked for a reduced rate or something to offset the cancelled reservation. She said that the best they could do is comp the first night. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me that she was the manager. We were happy with our room. It had just been remodeled. The rest of the stay was nice but very disappointed in how it started.

Windows could open a crack, so important for some fresh air in the morning, generally clean, very nice Ala Carte breakfast, comfortable beds, spacious room, location fabulous. Safe neighbourhood, Chemist and daily needs store steps away, subway and bus stop steps away. Shower power was weak, not expected this, marred an otherwise good experience. Unloading and loading a vehicle is tricky due to the location on the street. Daily housekeeping but was inconsistent. No hot water kettle.

A very clean, quiet and ideally located hotel in Mid- town. The in-room amenities are sparse ( not even a box of tissues in my bathroom) but I would stay again and bring my own next time! Good value!

The location is perfect. Walking distance to Central Park, 5th avenue, Rockefeller center. Starbucks right across the street. Countless good restaurants nearby. The shower curtain smelled a little. They need to wash it.

This time, my son and I were in New York for an appointment at MSK Cancer Center, which was not a pleasant visit to start with. The person who checked us in was Mimi. She provided a warm welcome and beyond accommodating service. She actually made the start of our trip a nice experience. Mimi made sure that we had all the info we needed to know about the hotel and also provided info about the MSK shuttle—with which we were pleasantly surprised. Seeing that I was on crutches, Mimi went above and beyond to get us a room with accessibility features and near the elevator. It was a great stay at this Marriott property thanks to Mimi and her great customer assistance.

The hotel decided to change our room without informing us. We booked 2 queen beds because we were travelling with 2 little kids. They gave us a room with 1 queen bed and a pull-out sofa. The hotel staff were dismissive at best. They didn't care.

We got to the hotel, and it was overbooked. They didn’t email or call us to let us know. Then they said they reserved a room at another hotel for us. We went there and were not on their reservations. The nice manager at this hotel called the Courtyard to see where we were to go. She found out, and we went to a 3rd hotel. We checked into a room here with a tiny bed and a different location in the city. The whole experience was terrible. The communication was awful, and they sent us to the wrong hotel. Then we had to Uber back to the show we were seeing and we barely made it on time. I booked a hotel that was close to the show so that we could walk. And to add to this, it was pouring out. It was an awful to start a two night stay with my daughter in NYC.

To me, this is more a 4.5 star hotel than a 4, but not quite a 5. Everything is spotless and housekeeping was very accommodating, and the rooms are quite spacious compared to even considerably more expensive hotels in NY. WiFi was really quite good, and that it was even available, and free, something worth noting; I can't get over how many hotels in NYC, even expensive ones, do not provide free WiFi, or even provide it at all in the rooms, while nonetheless charging the dreaded "resort fee." (Hasn't WiFi become a utility, really? Do I need to check that hotels provide, say, hot water?) And the location is very convenient, especially for those of us who take the subway from the airport. So the hotel has a great deal to commend it. What would take it up to a higher rating is somewhat better more nicely equipped rooms. The towels are thin and scratchy, for instance, and the pillows are just awful, flat and hard, and bad enough for me to consider other hotels instead when making reservations. But still, 4.5 stars is still pretty good in my book.

Overall, nice hotel! Clean and comfortable. My son slept on the sofa bed and had no complaints. Starbucks opened a little later than I would like - and it was slow. But there was another Starbucks across the street. The cleaning lady tried to come in at 9:30 which seemed early as we were still packing to leave. But I liked that it seemed clean and new!

Shops and transportation were conveniently located. Staff and housekeeping services were top-notch. Will most likely make reservations at Courtyard in the near future.

The location is convenient, making it easy to get around the city. We also really appreciated that the hotel offers complimentary luggage storage, which was very helpful for our travel plans. Another highlight was their airport transportation service—reasonably priced, with a professional driver and a clean, comfortable vehicle. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was very close to the train and in a perfect spot for places to eat and drink. Very clean hotel and the staff was very welcoming. I wish the lights can be a bit brighter without turning on all the lights in the room. I would also prefer to be notifies when the room has an adjoining room attached.

Location, room size, lounge and gym. We had daily housekeeping issues from fake lashes left on the bathroom counter after housekeeping (not ours) , to food trash being left in our room after we informed them, to glasses not being replaced.

Had to switch rooms cause the sheets in our first room had blood stains on it. It was wild to get put in a room that wasn’t cleaned properly.

We arrived at the hotel at 3:50 pm and were told our single room has changed to two connecting rooms. But they were not ready for us. One room became ready around 5pm and the second around 7:30pm. We had to leave our luggage at the storage, have dinner and kill time before getting settled down in our rooms. Staff were nice though and rooms were renovated. Beds were extremely hard. I had higher expectations from Marriott.

The location. It is a short distance from my eye doctor. Especially right after an eye surgery. The heat or air vent was extremely loud and disturbing.

We found the food service on the property very slow, but there are plenty of good eats in the area. No complaints about the room but, the water pressure could have been better. To be fair, I should share we are on the top floor.

Rooms were a nice size. Bed/mattress were vert comfortable. The location was convenient. Elevators are not marked well enough and are confusing as to the floors they do/don’t go to. I was on the 25th floor - room 2511 and there was a strong musty and unpleasant smell in the hallway. Checkout was inconvenient and unclear if rapid/self checkout even existed.

The price was right and the location was convenient. House keeping miss out on refilling hair conditioner. Breakfast was not buffet style you picked something from a simple menu in the business center cum bistro. Totally not worth it.

We enjoyed our time at this property. We booked a 2 queen suite room which was surprisingly spacious for nyc. The hotel is in a great location with lots of restaurants and quick eats nearby. Not a 5 star hotel by any means but clean and courteous staff. I would say it’s more of a 4 star or 3.5 star. But if you need somewhere clean to stay this is a good choice. The 12th floor renovation is nice and there’s a nice lounge where you can grab a coffee and snacks. Thanks.

The entire building was under construction and this was not noted before booking. Business room, gym, restaurant etc were all unable to be used. My husband had to conduct business in the hallway. Many of the floors were under construction and it looked bad. There was no room service and we felt like we should have stayed at a cheap hotel for the price we paid.

Air conditioning in room didn't work or wasn't turned on in entire building. We were told to open the window! Towel hooks needed in bathroom. Only place to hang bath towels was on rod at back of bathtub.

The location was great and worked well for me. Since the hotel is not in Time Square, traffic was lighter and I had no problem walking to nearby shops and restaurants. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I will be staying at this hotel again when I'm in the area.

Thermostats were not working. Temperature was 82 F when I entered. I tried to set it to 70 but it didn't work. Staff told us to keep the windows slightly open since thermostats in the entire hotel didn't work. Also they do not have any restrooms in the lobby. Guests have to go to 12th floor for using restrooms while waiting for check-in.

This is a casual but well-appointed hotel. No pressure to look dressed-up all the time but still a nice space. Also they have a snack room by lobby (24-hr desk) with microwave. They also sell wine at the desk. I didn’t try any but it looked cold. The hotel is located half a block from a pharmacy; close to coffee places, MoMA. Very central. The only thing I could say was a disappointment was that the automated Starbucks machine was not working while I was there (just 2 nights).

This is probably a scam vs a legitimate hotel. Their policy requires you to pay for the first night’s stay or cancel within 48 hours of booking. Most people don’t book 48 hours in advance so most people are committed. When we arrived, the lights in the room didn’t work and there was food and human hair under the sheets of the bed. The faucet in the sink was also broken. We had to book a room for me and my two kids that night and they claimed we weren’t entitled to a refund. We ended up having to dispute the charges through our credit card company. Avoid at all costs

Room was great, staff was helpful! Disappointed that there was no shuttle to the airport. Also, no free coffee. Had to pay $4 for Starbucks from a machine - not great.

I was told that I couldn't check out from my room either by phone call to the front desk or on my room TV. I had to wait 30 minutes at 11 AM because only one front desk person was at the front desk at that time (close to check out time). The person at the front was not efficient. Finally a second person came to help out and literally took about 15 seconds to check me out. Could have been done from my room as I have done at all other hotels and this one too in the past. When I came to the hotel the revolving door was roped off and you needed a key to open the door. As I hadn't checked in yet, I had no key. Fortunately someone came out and we were able to get in. Not impressed.

Corner room. Quiet and clean. Faucet leaked onto countertop but we just kept a hand towel around faucet to keep things dry. Comfortable stay.

Room was very clean, but the bed could use a new mattress and the shower only had mediocre pressure. All in all, great for a one night stay, would probably stay here again.

Rooms and beds need updating! Beds sagged in the middle. The sleep sofa was broken so that sagged as well. Dirty, stained carpet in the room and it was also shredding.

Bad hotel

This Marriott is an excellent place to stay in Manhattan! We arrived late, but my daughter and I still went out and had pizza and halal food. There’s so many places to eat and see from our hotel and always felt safe! Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, especially Sabrina, who checked us in with a nice smile! Will definitely go back to this hotel the next time we visit Manhattan!

The lady who checked us in was so sweet, bless her heart! She gave us a room with a little couch and a great view. The room itself was a bit old and had a slight smell, but honestly, it was still great compared to many NYC hotels and buildings. The location is also fantastic, with plenty of food options and Midtown stuff within walking distance.

I booked this reservation for my daughter under her name as i have done many times for family members. The front desk misgendered her and did not allow her to check in because she does not look like her dead name ID. She is a world traveler and this has never happened before at any hotel. I am deeply offended and will seek a full refund as well as punitive damages.

Staff was super friendly! The room however, was kind of gross - there were food items and plastic ware from previous guests left around the bed and the floor was so sticky and left my white socks black. The shower did not drain so you had to stand in yellow/brown water.

There is a convenient subway entrance across the street serving R and E lines. There are not so many dining options - you have to walk a couple of blocks, but that is not a big deal.

The Credit card I used to check in and pay for the hotel with, has been hacked and fraudulent charges made. I used a card that was not on file with either Expedia or with Marriott. I presented the card at check in and only used it for the hotel. I didn't even carry it when I left the hotel. I got home yesterday, and now there are thousands of dollars in fraudulent charges! Front desk staff were the only ones to see the card when it was presented.

Every part of the hotel was wonderful and I would definitely stay there again. However, the food st the bistro was exceptionally poor. The breakfast option was gross. I ordered the egg and cheese croissant. It was disgusting and inedible. It came squished out of the microwave.

Do not book this hotel with Expedia. We booked a deluxe King room and they gave us a crappy two full size bed room. They refused to correct it and said when you book with Expedia, you get what you get.. also it’s worth noting that the elevators are sketchy, and the breakfast can hardly be called breakfast.

The bed and furnishings are good quality. The one problem with all the rooms in this property is the lighting, especially in the bathrooms. Lighting is very dim in the bathroom--there is no excuse for this, with LED light fixtures available that would be brighter.

The room smelled old and musty , the furniture looked like it was from 1975. Definitely needs an update.

The staff are amazing, they treated us like family. I love the fact bed location of the hotel was centralized for us to get to everything we wanted to see. The room's were big and the beds are so comfortable

The location of this hotel in Midtown Manhattan is perfect if you are taking the subway or just walking. There is a subway station right across the street from the hotel which is convenient for quick rides to Times Square. The hotel room was perfect with two queen beds and a sofa bed for the extra kids in our group. We will be staying here again, and I would recommend to a friend. Thanks!

First time staying in the city and this hotel is perfect for its cleanliness, front desk staff and its location. Subway station from and back to JFK is across the street, Time Square, shopping, dining and Central Park all within 15 min walk. Subway station within 3 blocks to get to lower Manhattan. Overall this is the place!

When you pay for the breakfast the choices are limited to either one type of sandwich, bagel, croissant and a drink or two smaller items and a drink. Not worth the upgrade to pay for the breakfast.

Good hotel for move in of students at UES colleges

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Rooms were great! Location was convenient to everything, but also not in an area where the sidewalks were super crowded all the time. The staff and service were absolutely superb. HIghly recommend!

I was very impressed with how attentive the staff was here. They are all extremely professional and very welcoming. Most hotels no longer daily room cleaning services, but here, they do. They went above and beyond keeping my room clean and well stocked with towels. This entire hotel is clean and very beautiful in general. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are bigger than expected, the bathrooms are newly renovated with excellent water pressure. On top of that, the rooms truly are sound proof! I never heard my neighbors on either side one time. If you are looking for a place to stay that is also very convenient for transportation and walking, look no further. You'll be more than pleased with your stay here.

Time for some renovations. The rooms (furniture and bathroom) are outdated. Given the location, this Courtyard is overdue for some upgrades. Location was great for our stay. Easy walk to Lexington Ave, shops and quick good eats.

Cons: view on the east side is less impressive. Try asking for west or south side to get views of iconic buildings

So nice, friendly, and seemed to anticipate exactly what we needed. They made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The room was very clean and comfortable. Location is within walking distance of fabulous restaurants and museums.

The location was good with respect to subway access. Room was nice, but wall between next room not soundproof. Window blinds old and hard to get up and down. Glad we did not pay for breakfast each day. Really limited for what would have been the cost.

This was the most roomy hotel room we have stayed in NYC. Most of the hotel rooms feel like a closet, but this one was large enough to fit 5 people comfortably. It was newly renovated and very clean and quiet. My only suggestion is to put up another mirror or two in the main area so that everyone doesn’t need to crowd in the bathroom when getting ready (I have 3 teenage daughters!!).
