    The staff was pretty helpful and polite. I'm a little disappointed with the Courtyard experience. I think Marriott has let these properties fall behind. A lot of the amenities are older and you have to inspect the bathrooms and towels prior to use.

    The room was clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities we needed for a 2 night stay in NYC. Location was great and close to subway stations to get around the city. The staff were very nice and accommodating. Would recommend staying at this hotel!

    Tried turning it on and off, and even unplugging it. Couldn't open the remote because the battery cover was screwed down. Went to call the front desk, but the phone was dead. Called on my phone, service tech came in about 15 minutes, and said yeah, they have problems with these tvs because an outside company services them. He had difficulty opening the remote too, did the multiple resets, unplug, and gave me a second remote which turned on the tv. He changed out the phone battery. He left after 45 min, tv did shut off with the new remote. It was now too late to wait for him again , so no tv service (we had planned to watch a movie) at night nor in the morning. Good waste of our time after travel. Saw same front desk person in the morning, complained but he could care less it seemed, no apologies either. Went to breakfast elsewhere, came down to the same front desk person, and asked for a manager. He said manager would be out in 5 minutes. I called an Uber in the meantime which came in about 15 minutes before seeing any manager so we left. The Fairfield down the block was a MUCH better experience, we stayed there 2 nights a few days prior. I wonder if booking through hotels.com instead of Marriott made them treat us different. I'm a Gold Elite member so stay in Marriotts alot.

    The hotel was clean and the bed was confortable. There were many things that didn't work like the phone in our room to call the front desk, the tv in one of the rooms and the shower door took hurculean strength to slide back and forth.     The service was great the room was amazing , the only issue we had was that one of the elevators on two different days , got stuck for a few minutes , and another issue was the WiFi never worked , no matter how many times we tried to connect to the WiFi , no matter how long we waited to connect , the WiFi would never work , we had to use our data the whole trip , but besides those two things , the hotel and the room and the service was amazing and a great location

    Spent 4 days and was a great experience! Beds were incredibly comfortable! Rooms were big for New York, clean, maintained rooms and very comfortable. Hotel is in excellent location for financial district, seaport area and about 10 minute walk to WTC memorial. Ease of access to all subway lines to go uptown from WTC area. Would definitely stay again!

    Water took forever to get hot and the pressure was trash. The air conditioner was facing directly at one of the beds so it was hard to cool off the room without freezing. Phone in the room didn’t work AND it was dirty, so we had no choice but to leave the room get on the elevator to go downstairs to ask for help. Stopper on the sink was also broken….

    It has a perfect location . And hotel staff was so friendly and helpful One of the bed covers had a gum on it. We need to remind for room cleaning multiple times. Refreshment of hotel amenities were not good. Value for money for the breakfast was very low. At same price you may have better options around the hotel. There is no separate service elevator and it is used frequently by the staff. There is significant waiting time

    This was a horrible experience. During check in I was asked if I would like service to clean the room like changing my sheets and towels either everyday Or every other day, I requested the “everyday” option. They literally came only on my last day before I left, and when they did they did not change my sheets because I had a little makeup on the sheets from the first night, the staff fully made up my bed using the exact same sheets. When I called to complain that no one had came to change the sheets I was told the cleaning team was leaving for the day, this place was very unfortunate and very misleading from online. The temperature is weird either HOT or freezing cold, there is no normal room temperature. The Tv guide states that HBO is free with our stay. No it was not, I called the front desk and they no longer are paying for that service, I mean I could go in and on. I will not be staying here again

    I stayed at the Marriott with my two daughters. I found the room to be small . I was in room 906. My coffee maker didn’t work, I was giving another one the next day and my room phone didn’t work. The room was clean. The staff were nice. No microwave is very difficult with the location that they’re at.

    I recently stayed at Courtyard New York Downtown Manhattan / Financial District for a one-night business trip, and I have to say—this place exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, everything ran smoothly. The front desk staff were incredibly attentive and clearly know how to take care of their guests. Even during a busy check-in period, there were hardly any lines, which made the entire experience feel efficient and stress-free. The cleanliness of the hotel really stood out to me. Everything felt well-maintained and comfortable, which is a huge plus after a long day of travel or work. The location is also a major advantage—being right in New York makes it convenient for just about anything you need. What really impressed me was the value. For the price, the quality of the stay was exceptional. On top of that, the amenities are stacked: a laundry room, a gym, and even a computer center in the lobby for getting work done—perfect for business travelers.     Hotel was clean and in a decent location. Convenient if you are going to a Broadway show as you can hop on the 2 or 3 train and be in Times Square in 15 minutes. Little things were missing, like a Do Not Disturb sign in my room. I asked the front desk for one and they never sent someone up. The next day I had to ask Housekeeping for one. Another small irritation - only 2 elevators for all 28 floors. And those 2 elevators are shared with housekeeping; it wasn't uncommon to wait 10 or more minutes for an elevator. Very inconvenient if your key card didn't work and you had to go back to the front desk. Otherwise, a pleasant stay.

Best part though was the hot exhibitionist on the 16th floor in the building across the street facing main entrance of the hotel. Its like a free strip club outside your window!     I will say as person not from the east coast, this hotel met my expectations and was friendly and welcoming to an outsider. Hotel was clean, rooms were great. Very close to subways and the like. Fitness center is great for a quick vacation or business trip workout.

    Very nice hotel, comfortable, the rooms are small but cosy and clean. The only issues I had were that my door didn’t lock but the maintenance team fixed it right away, and also I had an issue with housekeeping, I had the DO NOT DISTURB sign on my door so I could sleep and they ignored it every time, 10am comes around and they bang on my door for house keeping, they also took the sign off and never gave it back, I yelled through the door to come back later and I could hear a loud sigh like inconvenience to them but I had the sign on so it’s not like the didn’t know! Am glad to change hotels today. Also for anyone needing to use the business centre, it’s not a room with computers and desks to use, it’s actually only a computer and printer in the lobby I’ll attach a photo of it.

My two issues were with the loud thumping sounds of the elevator (24/7) and feeling scolded by housekeeping. I was told on check-in that housekeeping would be in every other day. Since I had checked in that day, I figured they wouldn’t be in the next day, so we hadn’t gotten our things organized. I figured we’d do that before we expected them. However, they did come to the room the next day (I wasn’t expecting this). They made the beds, but left a “scolding” note to let us know that they couldn’t clean up because of our mess. Had I known they were coming, I would have at least left the do not disturb sign on the door. I understand it was messy, but honestly I have never had an experience where I’m feeling scolded. We are on holiday and we had a busy day. This was off putting and embarrassing.

    Really pleased with our stay. Comfortable, clean room, with comfy beds. All the staff were very friendly, and check in was fast. Hotel is in a great location with wide selection of supermarkets, bars and restaurants nearby, as well as the subway. Plenty to see within walking distance too. Lifts were a bit slow, and unfortunately there were no stairs to the lobby but that is my only criticism.

    Maintenance was not able to figure out which room the noises were coming from. So the duct taped the vent a few times and said they would move us, the tape somewhat worked with tv volume up. Plus we only had two nights to go.

    Staff laughed when we called and told them about our flight being cancelled, said we wiuld still be charged full price. Room was dirty, tried to speak with staff but they didnt care. Had nowhere to go. So unfortunately had to stay there regardless, as we paid for room in full, in advance. Finally got someone to speak with managment and was told they would reach out to me within 3 days and still have not heard from anyone. Horrible experience and will not recommend this place to anyone.

    It is bit expensive but it worth to be in NYC downtown. World Trade Center, Wall Street, Brooklyn Bridge, the river walk, Staten Island ferry, all walkable, no need Uber. Central Park very easy to reach with Fulton St. subway literally at 5 minutes from Marriott. Plus, plenty of places to eat and a very nice Italian restaurant round to the hotel. I will back again in 2026.

    No hot water for the first night of our stay. The hotel could not provide any estimated timeline for when the issue would be resolved and was unable to relocate us to another room or offer accommodation at a partner hotel. We were told to wait, but with no clarity or solution offered, which made the situation very frustrating and inconvenient after long travel. This is a basic service failure, and the lack of communication or support significantly impacted our experience. I cannot recommend this hotel.

    On top of that, the first floor was flooded and not all of the elevators were working. This caused long delays and made getting around the hotel very inconvenient( especially as we were on the 18th floor with kids) . Between the lack of housekeeping, poor communication from staff, and the building issues, this stay was frustrating and not worth the price. I would not recommend this hotel and will not be staying here again.

    We booked the hotel last minute and it was the cheapest option in the city. Room was a small which is to be expected, we were out all day and this didn’t bother us as it was all we needed. Subway was about 5 minute walk and hotel was also close to Starbucks, Wall Street, Statue of Liberty boat and 9/11 memorial. Other tourist locations were easily accessible from the subway. We also paid for a private car to the airport via the hotel which was a lovely, spacious car and friendly driver. The hotel was well priced and in a good location, we were very happy with this hotel and would return here.

    Rooms are old and need remodeled. Breakfast was horrible frozen food that was warmed up a few time now taxis in the area. & the front desk wouldn't call a taxi for us. Said if we walked a couple blocks we could try to catch a taxi. Not a nice part of town at night. Definitely will not stay here again.

    Room was awful. Bed was uncomfortable. Mini fridge didn’t work. The phones in the rooms did not work at all. All wireless and seem to be for show only. The AC had to be set to 65° or nothing else. If we put it to 70° the heat would blast out and it would feel like a sauna. Because of this, our fire alarm went off while we were sleeping and we couldn’t call downstairs because the phone didn’t work. I had to go all the way downstairs and they called someone to come turn it off. We were moved rooms only to find the same issues PLUS the bathroom vent not working in 2309. Because of this, it got so steamy with condensation that I slipped in the shower and hurt my leg, neck, and arm. I’m still sore.

    Lobby barely looks like a hotel, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. Entry requires guests to go up a flight of stairs--wouldn't recommend it if you have trouble with stairs. Uber seems to want to pick you up down the street instead of at the hotel.

    The room was small, however it’s NY, so couldn’t expect to much. The rooms are exactly what the picture shows, there is a restaurant in the hotel, pizzeria around the corner, corner stores nearby, and a Starbucks a couple blocks over.

    It was in a good location. Our room was nice but we didn't have clean towels our second night. It took over an hour to get the towels despite our frequent calling. Breakfast was supposed to be included but when we got there they said it wasn't. They charged us $20 each for a typically free breakfast of waffles and cereal etc. Then our friends arrived and they'd breakfast was included. Seems a little shady.

    Let me say the staff at front desk is great , but the room we had a light in the closet that would not turn off we reported it was supposed to fix and the guy forgot about our room . So we had a built in nightlight all night . Hotel in the rooms is very loud the sound was like having window open the whole time bring ear plugs . And timesquare is far but a train ride away . Other than that it was ok and their app never works . I won’t be staying there again

    No ice machine unless you go to the cellar what we called the dungeon. Only one microwave that didn’t have the proper plate in it and you had to warm your food on the first floor near front desk. My refrigerator didn’t work had to wait two days for another one. One of glass shelves was missing. The stopper didn’t work. Housekeeping was very good and pleasant people. Marriott what happened?

    The only two issues I had with my room was the sink wasn't draining very quickly and the seal on the lower edge of the shower door was gone so some water would leak out. Overall, decent enough if you're just looking for a place to stay in lower Manhattan, most of you time spent outside walking around.

    A/C did not work in the room. It was 86 F degree day. They gave us a new room the next day. There the TV wouldn’t turn on. We were told that the techs have gone home & they can’t do anything about it. This hotel will not provide any bottled water in your room, not even one bottle. Don’t recommend.

    The room was much smaller than pictured online, and the ventilation was poor, which led to both of us getting sick. Similarly, the air conditioning was not very cool, a huge disadvantage throughout the heatwave during our stay. The sink had poor drainage and lastly, the wait time for the elevators was on average very long due to only having 2 elevators servicing 26 floors. The staff were okay but overall I won’t be booking again as this was definitely not worth the exorbitant pricing.

    On the other hand, housekeeping left us a note saying they hadn't been able to make the beds because we had left things on them, which is understandable, but they didn't take away any of the trash and only left two bath towels.I didn't expect them to organize our room, but at least they would take away the trash, especially from the bathroom. It was very unpleasant to arrive and find the trash cans full. I must say that the front desk staff was very friendly and willing to help us and I understand that these are situations that are beyond their control.

    The hotel was clean and comfortable but very small. The walls are very thin, you can hear noise from other rooms and the hallway. The fire alarm went off several times only to be informed 10 minutes later that it was a false alarm. The water temperature was difficult to gauge, it was either burning hot or ice cold. Otherwise it was a good stay.

    Not a 4 star hotel. Room smells terrible. The linens smell terrible and are far from a good quality. Room was not done everyday so I had to ask for them to do it everyday at check in, and the person who checked me in had an attitide about it, he did put a note for the clean lady to come everyday and she did, but did a terrible job! Would NEVER stay here again!
