Club Quarters Hotel, Grand Central

I was planning a trip to NYC for my birthday. From my previous travels,I’ve experienced hotels in the past that hide fees.I called the hotel to get some information; they were so professional and warm from the very first moment that I bought my package right away. We checked in at 1AM and didn't pay a single extra cent. Everyone from the front deskstaff and security to the housekeeping team was incredibly polite and friendly. The hotel smelled wonderful, and our room smelled like home!! (Afterwalking 20k steps on streets that reeked of urineandmarijuana,sleeping in fresh,clean-smelling sheets was a real luxury! 😂) Rooms aren't huge, but they’re ideal if, like us, just for sleeping. There are water bottles and drinking water available on the floors. They have dryers and washing machines.They even thought to provide extra togo cups for coffee. The location is AMAZING!!It really made planning my whole trip easier;You’re within walking distance of CentralPark and TimesSquare,and just five minutes from GrandCentral. The rooftop was a total bday surprise for me ILOVEDIT. You can suddenly find yourself watching a magnificent city view, high above the chaos. It wasn't my first time in NYC, but it was the best! Dear Yoselyn, thank you so much for your wonderful energy and hospitality; even after we checked out, they kept an eye on our bags so we could explore comfortably. If you’re having second thoughts and have come across my comment, rest assured wonderful accommodation awaits you

I had a wonderful experience staying at the Club Quarters Hotel Grand Central. A huge shoutout to the staff—we arrived incredibly early, and they were amazing enough to accommodate us and give us a room around 7:30 AM, which we truly appreciated after a long travel! The location is absolutely perfect and unbeatable. Everything is within walking distance, including top landmarks and attractions like Central Park, the Summit, and The Edge. It made exploring the city incredibly easy. There were a couple of minor hiccups during our stay our room wasn't cleaned one day, and the TV wasn't working but honestly, everything else was completely perfect.

Check in staff was welcoming and helpful. Location was perfect for what I wanted for a first time in NYC. Free coffee and a nice rooftop area to relax and hangout. Not enough towels for each day. We started with 2 towels and somehow kept getting 1 goal. The cleaning staff was not accommodating in proving towels each day.

Location is great once you get oriented. Staff at reception friendly and efficient. The lounge area is great - coffee machine, wonderful views, good area to relax. Kitchen a bit smaller than we expected. Room was cleaned on the first day but then rubbish wasn't collected for a few days. I spoke to reception about it but still wasn't done. I got rid of the rubbish myself. The lounge needs someone in charge who keeps on top of things and cares about that area e.g. the milk ran out one morning with a long line of people. Luckily one of the guests knew how to get more milk and change the milk over in the machine.

The staff at the hotel were exceptionally helpful and friendly, particularly Eli. The lounge on the 27th floor had great views and great coffee, shame about the lack of snacks. The room was dated but cared for, the bed was very comfy and the shower was great.

The hotel is close to the subway and all sorts of touristy sites. The room is very spacious for Manhattan, very clean, and has all the necessary amenities. The staff was the highlight - they responded to all of our requests and questions very quickly. The pillows could be more comfortable.

The staff was very helpful at the front desk. A young man named Joshua was helpful. Everything was very clean and check in and out was seamless.

The helpful and friendly staff, the microwave, Nepresso, the balcony lounge on the roof. CQ-Grand Central has become my first choice lodging in NYC because of consistently positive experiences here. This was my all-time favorite room (903).. small but comfortable, quiet and with everything needed. It was discomfiting to have no way to reach front desk from the room. The phone didn’t work (and instructions how to use should be in nightstand— very old style)… the wake-up call (which I arranged in person thru front desk) never came. The alternate phone number that I dialed with my cell phone rang busy and hung up every time. The AI chat through the link only worked sporadically and was more irritating than helpful. (E.g., I was told 3 different times for my cab pick-up. It kept telling me to check out a day before I was due to leave.). I alerted the front desk to the significant problems with phone, alternate number, and chat link. The technology problems (which could have been serious in an emergency) are the reason for an earlier rating of 9 vs 10.

The hotel was clean, in a great location. The personnel was very friendly. The only downside was the size of the room. It was very small. The view from the room was not very pleasant. It looked out on some pipes in a messy courtyard.

The hotel was clean and the staff was super helpful, kind and accommodating. Great people working there. The reason for a lower review is that the property is advertised as a 4 star hotel. However, it is closer to a 1.5 star. I am sure they met the 4 star requirements, but adjust your expectations if you are used to staying in 4 and 5 star hotels. The pics are not very true to the property. The picture of elevators and large windows as well as sitting area are only on the 27th floor. The hotel doesn’t really have a lobby. A small check-in desk on the first floor. Decor and furniture are very outdated. Overall, it was ok. Staff was great.

Excellent location near Grand Central and many restaurants/coffeeshops. Adequate electrical outlets for device charging.

We loved everything about our experience other than the lack of view from our room on the 8th floor, and the absence of a mini fridge. However, the rooftop lobby was fantastic! Another bonus is having a table in the room to eat or work at. Highly recommend Club Quarters Grand Central!

I've stayed at this Club Quarters three prior times and will continue to stay there whenever there are good deals on the rooms. You can't beat its location, immediately behind Grand Central Station with access to the subway and the Metro North lines. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the free coffee in the rooms and in the common room on the top floor is excellent. I recommend Club Quarters without reservation.

The hotel is in a great location surrounded by restaurants and coffee shops. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had an issue with the air conditioning breaking and they moved us to another available room ! Great service and friendly staff.

The staff was friendly and for a short trip this hotel is great. Being near a main street in NY means there is a lot of noise but that's expected from staying in the city. Overall would stay again.

Well, every place was quite pricey. This was pricey too, just not as pricey as our other options. A refrigerator would have been nice in the room.

Great location, comfy beds, liked the upstairs living room and patio overlooking the city, and the espresso machine up there. I also liked we could have 2beds. When you are travelling with a friend, not enough hotels in nyc have that option. The well stocked amenities closet came in handy for my sister in law. They also arranged a cab to the airport, which was very handy in light of the long island railroad strike. Well, every place was quite pricey. This was pricey too, just not as pricey as our other options. A refrigerator would have been nice in the room.

This was one of my favorite stays in NYC. I will be returning to this hotel, the staff was extremely helpful, kind, and attentive. It was clean and safe, and convenient to everything!

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient just steps from Grand Central Station.

My room had a great view, comfortable bed and the kitchenette was well equipped. The terrace on the 27th floor was so nice with the added bonus of a coffee/espresso maker. The location was great, right across from Grand Central Terminal.

Difficult to see and do hair, etc. Literally had to walk out my room and use the mirror in front of the elevator. Bed is uncomfortable, esp the pillow.

The hotel is not far from Time square and other places we wanted to visit. It was quiet, clean, room was just what we needed. Staff was amazing and constantly engaging There is nothing that we didn't like at all

The location is excellent! The staff is friendly. The room was clean and ready One of our booked days we went around NY around 12pm So we told them at the lobby if they could replace the towels. They said they can replace the towels and also do a full cleaning service. When we came back neither the towels, nor the room got serviced.

The room looked great, well thought out with nice details and accents. Staff were very friendly The sink in the bathroom was clogged when I checked in. They sent someone to fix it the next day, but the day after that, it was clogged again after housekeeping cleaned the room. Not a great experience paying for a decent hotel and then having the sink full of dirty water.

Great hotel! The room was spacious for New York standards! It was a block away from Grand Central station which makes for a direct and easy train access to and from JFK airport.

Biggest shock… how QUIET it was at night. I was on the 21st floor so maybe that helped, but it was like crisp, dead silence. Slept so well. That said, I wouldn’t stay again. The room had a slight moldy smell, felt pretty outdated, and just wasn’t really my vibe. Also no food or restaurant options, which was kinda annoying. Overall, it’s exactly what you’d expect for the price! good for a quick stay, but not somewhere I’d go back to.

It had no lobby to speak of and no restaurant or bar, but it had a tiny but friendly staff who quickly checked you in and out and took care of any requests. There apparently is a covered lounge area on one of the upper floors, but I didn’t get a chance to go up there.

I've stayed at this Club Quarters multiple times in NYC -- it's close to the subway and Grand Central Station; it's within easy walking distance of 5th Avenue and Rockefeller Center, and its neighbors are Grand Central Station, the Chrysler Building, and Madison Avenue. The rooms are small but well-appointed; the bathroom is excellent, with multiple charging stations and free water. It's quiet with an efficient staff.

Loved this property - newly renovated, great staff, perfect location and very affordable. Went with a friend and they actually had rooms with twin beds. Rooms were cozy, but fine. Beds fine but not quite as hard as I'd like, and bathrooms aren't spacious, but you can't beat this for location (especially if you are coming to see plays) and quality for the price. No on-site restaurant or food service, but nice 24 hour lounge with coffee and tea, and a basic workout room. Would absolutely stay here again.

Club Quarters and Hotel Boutique are now one property, and the building is perfectly located near Grand Central, making it easy to shop, dine out, walk to museums and Central Park, see shows in Times Square, or get to more distant locations via subway and train. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and there's a rooftop lounge with amazing views and free coffee and tea. The rooms are spacious by New York standards, with comfy beds, nice linens, and renovated bathrooms. I'll certainly be returning!

It was very clean and a great spot next to many restaurants and bars.

The rooms are small and, if you’re on a lower floor, dark. But the staff is really good, so helpful, and the top floor living room/lounge is a lovely place to work.

The room was large enough for an overnight stay at a reasonable price. Staff were very helpful and helped with any problems. The hotel is situated close to Grand Central station which is useful for getting to and from JK airport. Various places are close by for meals etc.

Excellent service from Yoseline. The hotel is perfectly located, just a few steps from Grand Central. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The rooftop area is fantastic for enjoying a coffee while admiring the streets of Manhattan. Whenever I go to New York, I stay at this hotel.

Fantastic in every way. Quiet room even though it’s in the middle of Manhattan. Room a very good size. Staff lovely. Polite, friendly and helpful. The staff was really nice and accommodating. The room was strange. There was a wide gap under the room door, window glass had a texture to them that provided privacy but you couldn’t see through them, strange pieces of furniture that had weird components that had no function. Pillows were nice but the bed was meh. The gym was small but serviceable.

This is my 13th stay. I starting coming here in September, 2023. I have tried other hotels, but not one can compare to Club Quarters Grand Central. I love the rooms, quietness, secureness, free filtered bottle stations on every floor, and the 24 hour coffee lounge.

Wow! We absolutely loved staying here and will 100% stay here again. Everything was so clean, which is so important to me when picking a hotel. It's a great location, with the subway only 4 minutes away walking. The front desk staff, Marc-Anthony, was extremely kind and helpful for our entire stay. There is very reusable water bottles that the staff provides that is amazing!

My sister and I stayed for 3 nights with our 2 dogs - one of the main reasons why I chose this place and I’m so glad I did! Can’t ask for better staff/service. Location is centrally located to lots of restaurants and it’s super walkable.

We went for a long weekend and the location of this hotel can’t be beat. It is within walking distance of subway stations or Times Square. I will say it should be named “close” quarters instead of club. ;) the rooms are small. But they are good if you only need it for sleeping.

I stayed at the Club Quarter for my birthday weekend last month with some friends. Our room was clean, very spacious for my group of 3 and the location was perfect for getting to MSG. Shoutout to Eli ! Once I arrived, he was assisting about 2 groups that were checking in but was still able to greet and let me know he would be with me. We were checked in within 10 minutes. Eli was super helpful & patient with getting my friends & I our dramatic list of extras for our stay and had them to our room before we could completely unwind. I will definitely book this location again.

They have charged me for items that were not eaten from the snack bar and will not respond to my attempts to get this corrected.

The staff went out of their way to help. It was easy to catch a cab right from outside the hotel. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Our bedroom was a little difficult to get around the bed but we managed. If I were to come back to New York I would stay here without hesitation

Super friendly staff, the room, while small (but typical for NYC) was very clean, modern, and well laid out. I appreciate that they have a filtered water cooler in the hallway so you can fill your water bottle. 3rd floor has a washer and dryer with free detergent (thank you!) The 27th floor lounge is open to all and was very comfortable and spacious - with an closed in outdoor terrace with a fantastic view - perfect for meetings I had throughout the day. Also had free fresh ground coffee/espresso machine, ice and water. Very convenient location right next to Grand Central.

The cleaning staff should be more thorough (didn't clean the sink area on the day she were serviced our room). We were changed to Room #1703 after 2 nights, it was great (a little larger), equipped with the mirror in the room and magnification mirror in the bathroom. We were in Room 2502 with the same category, however, did not have those 2 mirrors and slightly smaller.

Loved this boutique hotel. Our room was tucked away in a little alcove, and was super quiet. The rooftop deck for morning and evening coffee makes this hotel! We loved sitting there and enjoying the view!!

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I was only there for a night and wished I could’ve stayed longer. I even signed up for the newsletter and rewards. The rooms are comfortable, updated, and tech savvy. There’s a great lounge to get work done with amazing amenities. I definitely plan on making it a go to when I’m in NY and want to check out the other locations domestically and internationally

We were greeted by an extremely friendly front desk crew who were happy to store our luggage until our room was ready. They encouraged us to enjoy coffee in the top floor lounge. While our room was small (not by NYC standards), it had a nice setup with a wardrobe, lounge chair that could be a small bed and a nice bathroom. The bed was a queen and extremely comfortable. While the hotel is convenient and the room comfortable, what makes the hotel special is the staff. Welcoming, attentive and very helpful with suggestions and responsive to requests. other hotels should learn from Club Quarters how to treat guests. Really enjoyed our stay here for our sons engagement party. looking forward to returning again.

This was the best place to stay, we wanted to be close to transportation, so right across from grand central station was optimal. We'd grab food and coffee, jump on the subway and zoom around the city, sightseeing!

The elevators were not working all the time. There were three elevators but only one was working at a time. Everything else was very good! I like the fact that they have water stations on every floor with empty bottles for people to fill them up. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

We were in a room with a kitchen and it was well equipped, with free bottled water just down the hall. Will stay there again on next trip to NYC (we were staying near Grand Central Station with a total of 4 rooms.

I stayed here 10/02-10/05, and had the best experience! The staff was absolutely wonderful and accommodating to my dog and me. Club Quarters is one of the few places where there is no pet fee, free laundry with complimentary detergent, and access to close by parking garages! Their rooms were very clean and the floor plan was so nice, even for a one person room. The only issue I had personally, was with my room key; I believe the battery for my door was dying, but each time I went to the front desk, they took care of it for me promptly, and reassured they would get the door looked at. Overall, a wonderful experience with staff, and will be staying here again!

Please continue to have a human element in your hotel(s) upon arrival. Additionally - all the common areas of the hotel were clean, guests were quiet and all the employees I encountered during my brief stay were lovely and engaging including the young man managing an enormous laundry cart onto an elevator. Despite the heavy load he successfully managed - he offered good sense of gracious humor throughout.

Nice size room for NYC hotel with everything we needed. Nice to have water bottle filling on every floor and very nice lounge for guests on 27th floor eith coffee and tea. We got takeout breakfast ebety morning and brought it to lounge for free espresso and lovrly outdoor seating.

Price to value ratio was high, especially for NYC. Clean, comfortable, spacious rooms. The rooftop lounge with outside terrace is fabulous, with 24 hour coffee, tea, water, and sparkling water bar. In-room yoga channel and other thoughtful amenities helped us escape the noise and chaos of the city. Staff (Elias) were welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable.

The rooftop patio and lounge were great and the staff was very polite and inviting. On the last full day of our stay, the room was not serviced (new towels, empty trash, toilet paper) - and when reported, was told it would be done. Arriving back at the hotel late in the evening, no housekeeping of the room had been done. We ended up emptying our own trash and chasing down toilet paper and enough towels to use - very disappointing.

extremely good value for a room that was not too cramped. Being on the 6th floor it was noisy from traffic outside but with the A/C on, it mostly drowned it out. The hotel has free laundry and a coffee bar as well as a small fitness room. I would definitely recommend staying here if you don't need the luxury of five stars. The staff are super friendly and when I arrived early, the had a room for me at no extra charge. At the end of the stay, they were happy to watch my bags while I ran a last minute errand.
