Best Western Premier Herald Square

I find the location very convenient, about 15 minutes' walk from Penn Station. This is the 2nd time I have stayed here and the room was clean and quiet and the bathroom well laid out. Checking in was quick and Gahid, who checked me in, was welcoming.

El hotel en general esta bien, bien ubicado y personal muy amable. Pero hay cosas que no me gustaron y no creo que vuelva: a) llegamos 2 antes del check in y te cobran $57 si queres la habitacion antes de las 3pm cuando la mayoria de los hoteles te la da por cortesia si esta disponible b) si queres dejar maletas para no pagar early check in o porq al check out sales mas tarde te cobran $5 por cada bulto que dejes!! c) el desayuno incluido es un voucher de $20 para usar en un bar que tiene el hotel que la pobre chica que atiende debe cobrar, tomar pedido y cocinarlo.... estas unos 40 minutos para desayunar. Por estos 3 motivos no volveria a este hotel y buscaria otra opcion que no tenga tantos costos extras.

Bed and sheets were horrible. Sheets and comforter were paper thin and rough. Slept horribly. Room didn’t have a fridge. This hotel is not worth more than $150 MAX

Our stay of 7 days was excellent. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Special mention to housekeeping staff who ensured that room is cleaned every single day and topped up toileteries without fail. We stayed at room #1406, which had a view of Empire State Building. As our room was not facing street, the room was quiet with no traffic noise. Rooms can be small even if King size but the hotel is located in one of the dense areas of city.

Very convenient location, the staff was super helpful and kind. The rooms are not fancy, pretty small, but the bed was comfortable. The water pressure was good. We got the view in the wall, so that wasn’t too great. The first room that we placed in had a weird smell, but we called the reception and they gave a different room and there was no smell there.

Forewarning, you will need to pay $57 for early check, or $5/bag for storage. We arrived 12:30 and checkin is at 3pm. I find it too much to pay $57 checking in 2.5hrs ahead or charge to store our bag if we’re already paying a lot to stay in the hotel. So we paid to store our bag on the day we arrive, and pay again on the day we left - unless you don’t mind push your bag around manhattan

Lack of utensils, no fridge. I also found that the coffee machine still have a used coffee pad in it. That means it wasn’t cleaned at all. The entrance is tiny. Lots of improvements needed.

The rooms are small, beds aren’t that comfortable and it takes forever for the water to get hot. There is a language barrier with some of the staff , for example house keeping asked if we need our room clean and we said no. A few moments later a male staff member is opening our door while me and my husband weee indecent. I felt very uncomfortable after incident.

Great location. Basic facilities. Windows need upgrading to help with noise from the busy road and insulation from the cold (though the window area doubled as a fridge due to the cold!). Curtains did not cover the entire window - particularly the bed end where the buildings opposite could be viewed all night long with lights blazing. Please fix the window dressing.

It was very closed to Macy’s, Korean town, Penn station and Bryant park. I enjoyed walking around Manhattan!

Good location in Midtown, not far from many good restaurants, bus-/ subway stations, Empire State Building just around the corner. Very good coffee and croissants in The Nook. Very friendly staff, trying to help where possible. The heating in our first room did not work well and was very loud. A very basic hotel for more than 500 $/ night

We also had to ask for more keurig cups, and the staff seemed reluctant to give us more. Breakfast was also not a buffet! Instead you have a $40 voucher for a minimal selection of food, that we never used completely because my mother got sick from the ham, egg and cheese sandwich. I don’t think we will stay here again any time soon.

The room was quiet until the people in the room next to mine came in each evening. They were from the West Coast, so I understood their sleep schedule was different. However, they were loud & not considerate, walls were too thin, & I didn’t sleep well. Very frustrating.

Great location. Friendly staff . Clean room/ bathroom & towels The lack of hot water kettle & tea bags in the room. We are tea drinkers . The Keurig coffee maker with non recyclable pods has no appeal for us. The hotek staff provided us tea bags but ghe machine does not work without a pod in place & the pod makes the tea coffee flavored. Other than that , the hotel was good for our short New York sojourn. Staff was excellent . Witty & efficient .

The room the first night did not have heat, the bathroom light didn’t work well, and the tv was messed up. We were able to switch to a different room for the second night that was much better. Would prefer a refund for the first night though as the room was horrible. Thank you!

This hotel is in a wonderful location, especially around Christmas. Macy’s is nearby, and the Empire State Building was just outside our window on the 17th floor. We had a short stay and didn’t use many of the amenities, but we were pleased with the hotel and the cost.

The staff was incredibly accommodating and nice. We were able to check in a little early and they held our luggage for the last day for a small fee, $5 per bag. I thought I had left an item there the last day and they were diligent in trying to find it. The overall service was excellent and I would stay there again. The location was perfect and we were close to a lot of things we wanted to see. The room was very clean. The room was pretty small but we were really only there to sleep.

Everything you need in NYC hotel. Location superb. Staff helpful, room clean and handy luggage storage for pre- or post-stay. Fantastic views of The Empire State Building from room 16.06- reminds you how close you are to everything and why NYC is soooo special- especially at Christmas. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

The hotel is horribly old; you can tell they NEVER went through even the most minor renovation in who knows, 35 years? The room is so small you can barely move, the towels have holes and are see-through, the room would not get warm, and the blanket they provide is laughable. $ 580 a night, that's how much I paid for this place. Shame on them

The bed was too short… I am an average height and my feet were hanging off the bottom if I wasn’t completely up against the head board. There were no USB plugs, and the regular plugs were very loose so we had to prop something against the blocks to stay in the socket. I could also hear most of what the others staying on my floor were doing/saying.

This property is close to a subway station and walkable to Times Square. The staff was extremely friendly.

Originally I thought the room was small (my wife, me and 2 granddaughters) but I understand small is normal for NY. Room was very clean and staff were excellent. Location was perfect for all things midtown. I recommend this property.

A gem ! Close to everything / Macy’s, I was really impressed with the service and the clean room and it is quite ! Room that a not big but ok as we are in New York and we want to spend as much time as possible outside the room ! Plus you can leave your luggages while you still visit the town until you’re ready to leave. Only recommandation would be softer pillows but I strongly recommend.

We traveled to NYC with our kids and had a wonderful stay at Best Western Premier Herald Square. The front desk staff were always friendly and very helpful. They were amazingly accommodating. We asked if a fridge was available and they brought one to our room right away and told us we could store anything additional in another fridge. They were happy to give us extra coffee pods when we asked, helped us unload and load our car, and kindly set up a table and chairs for us to eat takeout one night. The room was serviced daily for the 4 days we were there and was always clean. The hotel is very convenient to the subway, Times Square, and lots of restaurants and shopping. The elevators were in good working order and we never waited more than 2-3 minutes for one to arrive on the 12th floor. The air conditioning was comfortable and beds were great. The room is on the smaller side, which is the norm in NYC, so we expected that. The fitness area was clean, had cleaning wipes, well stocked water and towels and included free weights, cardio equipment and a cable fitness machine. Ice machines were on 3rd floor and basement. We had an absolutely lovely stay and highly recommend this hotel!

We were greeted every time we walked in the door and also told to enjoy our day each time we left. Angelica in the cafe was a delight. She was so kind and was great at answering our tourist questions of where to go during the day. We tried a few of her suggestions and they were all great! And the coffee and breakfast options in the cafe were delicious and reasonably priced with typically short lines. We had the option to not have our sheets changed every day but they did still come in and clean, empty garbages, provided clean towels. Our room was small so in such a tight space, we appreciated the daily tiday from the cleaning staff.

Great stay at a great location. Rooms are small like any NYC hotel, they are nicely decorated and extremely clean. It was an easy walk to the subway and Penn Station which is the stop to and from the airport. The reception team were great and extremely helpful and always greeted us each day.

The property's location was excellent. The room wasn't very large but sufficient.

Overall, the property was clean. The front door needs an overhead cover that extends further goes because of when it’s raining that’s an issue. The lobby and the staff was great. The staff itself was great. The lobby was OK. The furniture in the lobby needs to be changed at least something where it’s leather and it’s easy to clean because some of them have stains on them. The room was good overall the pillows on the other hand all needs to be thrown away. Those things are hard as rock. I’m not sure where you guys got them from but for the love of Jesus, please change them.

But i had to move 3 times the first hour i was there. First room the tv and phone didn't work. Second one the a/c do and phone didn't work. Third one phone didn't work and i said to heck w it. And stayed in #3 where i had phone in the room as the line didn't work so i had to use the one in the hall. Those things should be checked and working in a $200/night room

Was expecting a lot more based on the high star reviews I saw on google but this was by far the most mid hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Of course it’s NYC so the rooms are going to be tiny, but for the price paid it felt criminal given there were like 0 amenities other than free water in the lobby. The only reason why I would ever stay here again (which I probably won’t) is due to the location to shopping and the subway. But even with that we didn’t do much in Times Square Area. We really only stayed here because it was one of the only reasonable looking and cheapest option available that weekend.

Cleanliness. I stayed 8 nigths. Once they forgot to clean the room. For 5 days the carpet was not vacuumed and shower not washed. They only made the bed and take out the trash. I reported this and the reception team was very nice and helpful

The location was A+, room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels and sheets and blankets. They did not offer a fridge nor microwave in the bedroom. I would rate them as an A- hotel. The good thing is that everything was walking distance, perfect!!!!!

Place is not terrible but is too small and cramped. Rooms are very small with no real closet. There are much better options nearby

When I called in to pay for an earlier check in time and the created a second stay. Also the room that was given wasn’t enough for 3 to have to pay extra for that is wild. Positives the bathroom wasn’t to bad besides the stains on the bottom of the toilet. Also the hotel location was great and easy to get around to everything.

The check in process was simple and reception were friendly. The rooms are tight but do the job with a central hotel location.

The bedroom was lovely at first glance...two double beds.bathroom and a full length window facing the road...but then we noticed there was no bottled water..only two decaf tea bags..two decaf coffee and one other coffee bag..sachets of powdered milk..the bins were only emptied every 3days...the room vacuumed only once..i had to ask for toilet paper!

The two ladies at the front desk were very rude and unwelcoming. When my daughter and I walked up to the desk there was no welcome or how may I help you. The two ladies stayed put and waited to see which would help us. The one with the head wrap was not nice at all. When checking it, I told her I have a reservation and she said quickly “I know” without letting me finish my sentence. I saw how attentive the two ladies were to other guests coming in after me and it was totally different. I don’t want to use race as an issue but what else could it be? Maybe classism, but I didn’t like it and I won’t be returning.

The staff was very nice and the location was convenient but I can’t stay there again because this is the only hotel I’ve been to that charges paying guests to hold their luggage. That was so disappointing.

I was in town for a class so I was very happy that the room was quiet each night and I was able to get a full nights sleep each night, mon-fri. there are many options for dinner and drinks all from just outside the door to a few blocks. the room and the lobby were all very clean. the staff is very friendly and check in was a breeze.

They exceeded our expectation. The property is very clean and the staff were very nice and accomodating.

We stayed here for an event at MSG. It’s easy walking distance there, and close to the Herald Square subway stop for getting elsewhere. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful getting us checked in a bit early, and the room was very clean. The bedroom space was snug but bathroom was spacious with walk-in shower. We were on the 6th floor facing the street and also right across from the elevator but heard very little noise from either.

I went for price as I was travelling on a budget with my daughter and needed 2 beds. Although the room was only a base to stay in it wasn’t anywhere near as big as the pictures suggested and had a few issues like the shower screen not closing properly and one of the bed not sitting on its frame fully. I did make a mistake on my booking regarding dates and the staff were very helpful sorting out an extra night for us and this is how the hotel makes up for any problems it does have and that is the very friendly and helpful staff. Location good for tourist hot spots and a 3 minute walk to the subway and is a standard sort of city centre hotel.

Front desk staff was so friendly and helpful, and did their best to fulfill our request for a quiet room on a higher floor. Room was small but comfortable, clean, and quiet. Right in the heart of Koreatown, so many interesting and inexpensive eating options, and feels safe. Very pleased with our stay.

Great place to stay

The staff was friendly and the hotel was in a great location for everything we wanted to do on our short trip. We stored bags both on check-in and check-out day. We were charged a small cash-only fee the second time which was weird but it was okay.

The accommodations were exceptional. Rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, with convenient proximity to the subway and Time Square.

We enjoyed our location. Lots of food options. Easy walk to Times Square, Madison Square Garden and subways go everywhere else. You can get a city view, but it is not the Empire State Building. They will keep your bags for $1 a bag on your last day.

I was so impressed with their willingness to accommodate every request of mine - view, bottle opener, extra coffee. Phenomenal customer service! The daytime male reception associate and all three guy working the night shift deserve to be recognized by management for going above and beyond in assuring my stay was safe and pleasant!

The room smelled like someone peed on the carpet… 2 days later we found a cockroach roaming in the room. Service was also very rude throughout our stay. The girl who checked us in was aggressive & did not answer questions we had. Front desk was always on FaceTime even when taking care of guests. Not attentive or nice. Also no vending machines, ice machines or mini fridges in room. Very gross. Very disappointed. Will never stay at a best western again.

Hi the hotel took 100 dollars deposit out my monzo account on arrival when i checked out on the 13th they said it woukd get paid into my account 3to 5 days i still havent received this and sent a few emails do yous deal with this since i booked it through yous as it cant be good publicity for yous aswell using them

Was staying on the 17 th floor. It was 61 F in the room and HVAC didn’t work!

We were really pleasantly surprised with the room, it was both comfortable and super clean and quiet. We will definitely book there again!

Staff is very friendly and welcoming. They gave us great recommendations for cake and let us sit in the cafe while waiting for our room. Rooms are decent sized for NYC and were clean. The property was quiet but still central to subway and midtown.

We really enjoyed our stay. G at the front desk gave us wonderful food recommendations. The whole staff was very kind. The room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. It’s definitely a TINY hotel but in the middle of all the sites.
