We arrived for a night between hotels and the location is great! On the New York Library, our room was large, luxurious and clean. The room had a high ceiling that gave it a luxurious feel! We arrived for our honeymoon and the excellent staff spoiled us with champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries! Luxurious shower Windows can be opened. For the short time we were there - I couldn't find anything I didn't like.

An understated luxury in the heart of midtown Manhattan. Great location with easy access to shopping, restaurants and public transportation. I live the high ceilings and spacious well insulated rooms, not to mention the open and modern shower space. I was pleasantly surprised by the email from the manager of the house cleaning, a sign of its commitment to customer satisfaction.

The room was spacious and clean. Perfect location in Manhattan. Our room was on the 3rd floor and strangely we had to take two elevators-change to a different elevator located on the 2nd floor after walking down the long narrow hall way. It was a bit exhausting. We felt unwelcome.

Garbage sitting outside our door (not ours) for the day. Check-in: room ready late. Check out: valet over 1 h wait for the car. Not the way to start or end a trip.

Excellent location, right on 5th Avenue. Broadway, Grand Station and major sites are all a short walk away.

Fantastic view, fantastic location, best connectivity to the library, perfect for shopping, and great for relaxing since it’s right in front of Bryant Park. I highly recommend this friendly and clean hotel.

Hotel is in a great location right on 5th avenue, across from the Library and close to shopping. The room itself was ok. The carpet was dirty in the bedroom and the black out shades had two sections with a 6 inch gap in between which allowed a ton of light in waking us up very early. The staff at the front desk was great but others were not as nice. I was literally hung up on by one staff member when I called to get my car brought up from valet and then when I called back i was placed on hold for over 8 minutes before I eventually just gave up.

Hotel is in the best location in NYC. It is opposite the New York Public Library and Bryant Park which is a little haven inside the big city. Close to Grand Central Station and Bryant Park subway - getting around NYC was really easy. Cant recommend this hotel enough. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. We had an amazing few days. It was a little pricey - but we knew that as we had stayed there before.

The hotel was excellent. Very quiet. My room was directly across from the elevator bank, and I never heard a peep. The room — a king with view — was enormous for NYC standards. Everything very simple but high end. Great bedding. Lots of lighting scenarios from which to choose. The bathroom was quite glamorous, but a little dark if you really needed to look at something. Let’s call it flattering lighting, lol. A 9 out of 10. Including the $10 delivery charge and nominal extra tip, I thought $50 was a tad expensive for a bowl of oatmeal.

Stayed one night with hubby and it was nice. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, big (move around comfortably), and pretty quiet as was the lobby and parts of the hotel I saw. I would consider staying here again.

A nice bonus was the complimentary sparkling water available on the first floor, along with regular bottled water provided upon request. All in all, a great hotel experience.

Everything, from the moment we arrived. The staff was very professional and went above for all of our needs and more. There was not any thing negative about the property.

Andaz atmosphere is great! Friendly staff as always. Spacious rooms, clean, nice soaps and shampoo. Comfy beds. Great location too. Gym is also great. Lobby is quite tiny and lacks space to relax. Not so inviting. Rather expensive, value for money is above average but not great.

The staff were amazing. Upon arrival we had issues with our booking as Bookings.com misrepresented the number of occupants that could fit in a room (do not use booking.com). The Andaz were amazing at helping us obtain an additional room. I would highly recommend them and will stay again. The restaurant where breakfast is served. The woman running this was rude and extremely difficult to deal with. We had breakfast included as part of our accommodation and never ate there once. The restaurant was almost empty and she would not seat anyone. Incredibly unprofessional and a let down to the experience of the hotel.

All was well but they assigned us an ADA room without notifying us first. We didn’t realize it until we had unpacked. Everything is vey low. Desk, sinks, chair etc. otherwise good and the restaurant and bar was convenient.

Not only was it a small box of a room for two nights at 3000.00!!!!! But the couch “bed” was a once inch spring mattress. The “terrace” has zero furniture and anyone in the floor can walk it and see in your room or bathrooms!

one of my favorite hotels...rooms are large and you can actually get a suite. i like the vibe and the location is perfect.....i had to do a meeting at union square and a meeting in the financial district and i could walk to both.

This was a last minute booking for us. Literally at a cafe 20 mins away and booked and went to the hotel. Everything was wonderful at Andez. It will be our new staple hotel when in the City. And I miss an entire CE machine BUT you can call the FD and get as many buckets brought to you for no fee so not much to complain about there.

This was our second stay at the Andaz. Great location, great living area and great terrace. The only reason i'm not giving a 5 star rating is that the room needs a bit of love to fix the damage that was done by visitors.

There were one or two staff that were helpful. Upon checking in, one member of staff was extremely rude, obnoxious, unhelpful and condescending. When asking for extra towels, it took over an hour to arrive. Don't recommend for the price.

I like the cleanliness. The staff was nice service oriented but appeared understaffed. The bar is great but seems dead, not much activity. No service room after hours.

This is one of my favorite hotels in NY. The rooms can be dark, but they are very minimalist and clean. Bathrooms are incredibly spacious by NYC standards. The only downside is that they now charge an exorbitant fee for even a modest late checkout, which may make it more cost effective to stay where I have status while in the city.

Overall the hotel is a great place mostly for the location and the rooms, which are spacious and well laid out. However, there was a drop in service standards compared with our last stay 4 years ago, which was evident in several incidents. The manager did offer some compensation in the form of points, but overall it left us with a less glowing impression of the property.

very disapointed on been charged many taxes, etc. Those should have been already on the rate... but they charge you on top almost 100$ per night on other taxes and fees.. not fair!

This is a fabulous hotel. We enjoyed an excellent view of the NY Public Library! The bathroom was magnificent, the room was spacious, and the filling of the mini bar and snacks was very convenient!

Overpriced hotel for the quality you get. I chose it looking at the pictures at hotels.com and none of the pictures was our room actually- king suite 1216 was much smaller than described in the description and the comfort for 4 family members is minimum because it’s so narrow and small. I guess you pay more for the “design” which in my opinion didn’t serve the space well. The bathroom/toilet had 2 doors- a narrow (for our 2yo maybe) and a wider one- it made no sense. The complicated lighting - one has to click several times to understand how to turn off master or bedroom because it’s so randomly set up. Restaurant is overpriced and not tasty at all, not kids friendly. So overall it was a disappointment

It's definitely a good hotel with great location and good staff. But for the money we paid, the decor of the hotel seemed extremely bare and minimalist, specially around christmas time. Rooms and the lobby is extremely boring with bare white big walls. Also not having basic coffee supplies in room is a let down for $500/night. I will not spend such amount on Andaz again.
