Great location, conveniently situated near many subway stations and nearby restaurants. DeKalb Market is a good food court a few minutes away, and Prospect Park is less than 2 miles via bike. Good water pressure in the shower and comfy beds The A/C unit in our room did not work well, and most of the rest of the hotel was pretty hot (visited in early June).

The location is great! But the staff all seemed to be preoccupied on their cell phones …all the time. One of the female staffers was extremely rude after I made several attempts to upgrade my room because I was staying 5 days. She then calls on a male manager, he said he would check on my situation, he then begins to take a personal call with his ear bug in his ear talking in a foreign language right in front of me. The two of them did not realize I was a business owner trying to conduct business and needed my room situation to be handled after being displaced for 4 hours without a room. I was so upset by their UNPROFESSIONAL behavior, I went next door to the Sheraton Hotel and booked my 4 night stay with them….the staff, including the housekeepers were different as night and day from Aloft staff!! And, the hallways were well lit and bright unlike the Aloft…their hallways are very dark and for security reasons, I don’t recommend this hotel, especially for single women traveling alone. They need a new paint job to brighten up those hallways, and an overhaul of their staff that needs monitored and held accountable for how they interact with customers. I will never say at Aloft again.

The Aloft was perfect! From the second we checked in to the moment we checked out the front desk team was stellar. I’m kind of picky when it comes to hotels and this one checked every box. Location 10 out of 10. Close to public transportation and healthy food options. This is my new go to NYC hotel.

I booked this hotel for the rooftop restaurant. On arrival I was told the rooftop is closed until September. I feel like I was scammed. The room was clean with a comfortable bed.

Everything was great! Only small complaint was the room I was in didn’t go past 74 degrees. No matter how low I turned it down. Other than that, I would stay here again!

Great location in Brooklyn. Clean facilities. Across the street from a little park. Also very close to lots of eating options and shopping, and public transportation. Small rooms. Housekeeping came in the late afternoon.

Staff was wonderful. The room was very comfortable, but it is loud even on the 17th floor so if you’re a light sleeper it might be a problem. Nice that they provided free bottled water and had a pool table and other games in the lobby. Clean room and great location. Hotel Bar and restaurant were average. I am confused by the amount night club bass and loud music. I was on the sixth floor and it still sounded like a club banger directly below me deposits the fact that there are no clubs or late night bars in the area. I came to the conclusion. That this was the lobby music …. All night..

Amazing location. Price factor was on par. Great view of the sunrise and with natural light streaming in. Everything is walkable with multiple subway stations around. Target, Trader Joes, all within a few paces. The only issue was that the basin was stuck a bit but we managed and didn't bother to let housekeeping know. Am sure if notified, they would've fixed it.

The lady that was at the counter rearrange us to be at a suite next day but the shower on that room was bad , you had to leave the shower open for Long time to see some water coming but you could not flush the toilet or open the faucet ! The water would go out .Iván, the handy man in charge , was helpful but could not do much. The air conditioner was pretty noisy , the mini fridge was noisy … don’t try calling the counter , nobody answers

I liked the location and view from my window. The room was comfortable and I had it serviced everyday. The mattress needed to be replaced. I had to turn the mattress around to avoid a big dip in the mattress. The outside windows also needed cleaning.

Excellent amenities, very convenient to anywhere. Staff are nice. Daily cleaning is fine yet missed refill coffee bags every day. Room decoration is pleasant; maintenance need to be improved compared w/ Ad and price. Vinyl plunk floor stretched out.

That it was close to a lot of things. Such as food, shops etc. That I feel like I got catfished from what the pictures showed vs what I got. Such as the balcony had no chairs to sit on, the mezzanine was closed due to “weather” but it was 65° and sunshine and the bar closed at 11.

4.5 stars only because we scheduled a car service to take us to JFK but were told morning of that it wa not confirmed and the company was not answering?? Other than that it was a great hotel stay and close to the subway, stores, and a park. There's a bar and pool table in the lobby area which is nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Toilet had blood running down the front bottom. You only get 2 wash clothes and 2 towels for two people (exactly why I bring my own). Lobby furniture was dirty and receptionist desk was cluttered and dirty. Had to switch rooms due to shower not working and sink not draining. Some electrical plugs don't work. Overall experience was a 0 stars out of 5 stars. Will not return.

The Room: We were 3 adults and a child. The beds are full size, so a little snug. There isn't much space to store clothes and keep your luggage out of the way. The toilet handle had to be held down to flush, but not a big issue. There is a mini fridge that kept our drinks ice cold! Speaking of ice, you get that downstairs in the lobby. Overall the location is close to stores, the subway and delicious restaurants! 15 minute walk to the Brooklyn Bridge and you get complimentary water from the front desk if you ask for it. We enjoyed our stay.

I booked for Unrivaled bc the Barclays was an extremely close walk. The staff was amazing, every question I had answered with confidence. The view of the city was great. I book with Aloft almost every city I go to and I’ve yet to be disappointed.

I didn’t know they charged you to watch tv it was a first for me as tv is always included in the hotels I stay in, but that was my mistake for not reading all the way when I looked for the tv. $500 worth of tv so be careful lol. We encountered a couple of issues with our room, and both Angelica and the team handled them quickly and efficiently. There was no TV remote in the room. There was no heat in the room. The phone did not connect to the front desk so had to go down to speak to a hotel employee.

We called back down and apparently the room attendant didn’t know how to change sheets and no one else was around. Some of the sheets they sent up had stains on them too. It was too late to find somewhere else. We picked a sheet with no visible stains and laid on it until early in the morning and checked out early.

I had a very quick check in, the front desk staff was friendly each time I had to encounter them (check in, ask about ice and check out). My room was very clean, other than some random sounds I put off as being the elevator (my room directly across the hall from the elevator), it was actually really quiet. The elevators were extremely fast, so that was convenient. The location was great. As a solo female traveler i also felt very safe.

The location is in a great part of Brooklyn with lots of restaurants, coffee, and shopping nearby. The Brooklyn bridge is an easy 20 minute walk from the hotel and there are multiple subway stations within a few blocks of the hotel, getting you into Manhattan in 15-30 minutes. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The rooms are clean and relatively spacious for NYC. I would definitely stay here again!

The room was clean but very small. Not generous with towels and toilet paper. Had to request more toilet paper because they didn't leave any extras in the room. Kept the lobby so hot all the time as well. The upside was a great mattress! Slept very well.

Water pressure was low in the shower. The bathroom layout was not very functional, the room was small, the HVAC made loud, sudden sounds all night, and you could hear hallway noise throughout the night even though we were tucked in a corner.

The only downsides were the thin walls (you can definitely hear your neighbors) and room service being a bit slow. Other than that, it was a comfortable stay.

When you walk in the carpet looks really old with borders literally warned out. The hallway walls look ugly and the rooms are not very clean. Staff is friendly. It reminded me of staying at motel 6. Very disappointed cause i paid almost $300 per night. They cleaned my room but never replaced towels i had to call 3 times and waited hrs before i could take a shower cause i didn't have a towel.

On the senior citizen side of life, the door in the bathroom the hard to push open and close, rather heavy! Everything else was great!

the check-in system was down upon arrival and i was forced to manually write my card number down. upon checkout, i was then charged for the room price while still having the initial $700 authorization hold in place on my account. this is unacceptable and i will not be staying at this property again.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at in New York! Big room, very friendly staff, clean property. There is a park right in front of the hotel, and a shopping center with Trader Joes, Target, a big Primark, and a food court. I heard NO outside noise at night. Exceptional experience!

Air was blasting through a system that I could not shut off. Was very difficult to sleep with noise and air blasting all night long.

Miserable and vastly overpriced hotel. Noisy bar on roof with loud heavy metal music propagating down the elevator shafts to all rooms. Poor acoustic insulation of rooms, in the ones adjacent to the elevator shafts you can hear the constant swishing of the elevators passing by. Sinister room decoration with walls painted dark almost black blue. Aging decoration with paint chipped off in many place. One of the window shades was broken and could only open half way, further increasing the darkness of the room. Outside the window, a rope hanging from the roof was constantly moving back and forth and dragging on the glass. Minimalist bathroom supplies, missing shower gel, only brought on second day after repeatedly asking the front desk. No instructions on how to access internet posted in the room, I had to use my hot spot. Rooms are not made up unless you ask the front desk every morning. Elevators carpets are outright filthy.

The only complaint I have, is when I checked in Friday night. They had overbooked, so they sent me to another property. But otherwise everything was fine. I was back at Aloft the next evening.

The staff were very friendly and there were plenty of shops with a massive food hall right across the street. A lovely park across the street as well. Overall a wonderful experience.

My check-in experience with Aloft was horrible. I will never stay there again. They did not have a room for me, even though I made the reservation well over a month ago. I don’t have enough space to describe everything that happened. They finally transferred me to the Sheraton next-door where they were very helpful and efficient. I will see you there again, but I will be reviewing Aloft and advising people never to stay there.

I stayed here with my sons and stepdaughter for one night prior to a cruise and for a night post cruise. It was very clean and comfortable and in a convenient location. All parties were happy. My adult son commented that although there was not shuttle to the cruise terminal, that the Uber was quick convenient and affordable as compared to my parents who stayed on a hotel with a cruise terminal shuttle that was twice the price and not quite as nice. We would definitely consider this location for future travels.

Property and staff were great.

It’s 3 mins walk to the closest subway. Lots of shopping around the building. The staff at the front desk were always friendly and helpful. Good use of space. It’s a tall order in busy Newyork but aloft does a decent job in delivering great accommodation.

I tried to reach the hotel by phone because my flight was delayed to no avail so I send a text message that went unanswered. When I arrived at 4am next morning I found out that my reservation was cancelled. So I had to wait, finally getting to my room at 5am. The lobby at that time wasn’t welcoming, people drinking with a bottle of black label at the table, and other trash at other table. However, after that first impression everything went well and I enjoyed my stay.

The room was perfect. The staff was very nice. It was a busy weekend due to LIU move-in date. I will definitely book there again. It’s convenient and clean. The only complaint is there was no creamer in the room when I made my coffee.

This was a great, convenient one night stay. The parking availability was why we chose this hotel (however we ended up finding parking on the street - which was great!). Location is great, room was good (like all aloft locations). Friendly staff. definitely reccommend..

The hotel was fine. The area is convenient. The floor was noisy and our room had an air conditioner that was so obnoxious it was impossible to sleep. We recorded it because it was driving us insane. If we had a different room, we would have rated higher.

Aloft is a solid choice for me when I’m travelling for work/leisure and looking for something I know will be clean and affordable. This location has a rooftop bar so if your room is in the higher floors you will hear it in the hallway, luckily not in your room though.

Staff was good, pleasant and friendly. The compliments stop there. The hotel still list and shows pictures of a swimming pool although it was sold years ago. Isn’t that false advertising? AC didn’t work, coffee maker didn’t work, Cheap bedding, floor was cracked, broken. Elevator loud creaky heard every up and down. I would not recommend

Experienced some issues with plumbing

The water was shut off to the building on the first night and didn’t return completely for over 24 hours. We had a trickle the second day and cold, brown water for the remainder of our stay

The hotel could use some updates and renovations but it as clean and the staff was very polite. I was offered an early check in without charge, which was nice. There are also tons of restaurants around.

Rooms have what you need - clean and comfortable bed and bedding; great shower and hot water always; great WiFi; fridge; safe; water provided; ok coffee machine, great AC; friendly front desk.

I like the fact there was a roof top next to the hotel.

There was no hot water and they did not even warn us. I enquired the morning and they proceeded to tell me a story about the boiler not working. It hadn’t been working for several days yet they still took my money and gave me no warning about the water.

The overhead light in our room could only be turned on by calling the front desk, they would send someone up with a ladder, he would climb up above the bed headboard and turn the lite on! Fortunately there were two windows that let in ample lite during the day, so this was only necessary once a day. Hotel location is convenient to restaurants, subway, Target and Barclays.

Loved that it was close to the train but also walkable to so much! Some guests were loud next door due to thinner walls but honestly it wasn’t the end of the world. We could get access to extra towels as needed and the room had just enough of the essentials. Next time I’ll get to access the gym and the rooftop next door to report more on those. Use uber shuttle to and from the airport

In an excellent location with so much great shopping, dining, and subway availability right nearby. Very affordable for the area and room was somewhat spacious compared to other NY hotels. Front desk service was excellent!! Would certainly stay again!

Nice place. Can’t really get a drink when you want at bar but a really nice place to stay.

Hotel amenities e.g bar unavailable during my stay. The front desk was very knowledgeable about your car services that you offer, nor did the driver understand how I was suppose to pay him. The effort is there but the coordination is not, I will probably stay at the hotel next door with additional amenities and comfort.

Great option for NYC visit. Very accessible to manhattan via subway for a much lower price than comparable hotels in manhattan.

The A Loft met all of my expectations! They were welcoming and had a very clean place. The A Loft is conveniently located downtown Brooklyn near many shopping places and a nice food court directly across the street!

Overall the room was clean but we asked for our car to go and it took us 90min til we get the key. We need to take a long drive and already told the desk 30 minutes early saying we need to get our car, but the time we wait was way too long than we expected.
