1 Hotel Central Park

Great hotel, great location

I had no idea pets are allowed in the hotel. I am asthmatic and highly allergic to dog dander. So my allergies and asthma were aggravated throughout our stay. It’s a nice boutique hotel as the lobby is small. There’s only one Public restroom in the common lobby and it’s shared with the hotel restaurant; so inconvenient. The value of this hotel is definitely expensive for what you are getting for. I thought this was a 5 star hotel but more like a low 4.

Beautifully designed hotel with a calm, sophisticated atmosphere and unbeatable location near Central Park. A fantastic creative base in New York with easy access to the city and excellent service. The only area that could use some improvement is the restaurant experience, particularly the breakfast and brunch menu. The restaurant also feels a bit small for the size of the hotel, and seating can be limited during peak breakfast hours. Otherwise, everything was very good and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

I miss the living walls that populated the property, at least they have little gardens in the rooms. The gym was great despite the size; and the restaurant was solid. This is the only place I stay in Manhattan…

We were treated very well, like real guests, not just like some strangers who showed up to rent a room.For example, the air conditioning was not operating properly in our room and- without arguments or excuses, we were moved to another room with the staff tranfering our luggage. Then we received a written apology for the inconvenience! Excellent service. There was nothing to be improved on from our perspective.

The room was fine. Nothing overly special. View was terrible, and the room was quite small. The staff were lovely except for the concierge. He didn’t seem very knowledgeable or eager to help. They didn’t offer to make any reservations and when I asked for suggestions he proceeded to Google, which I could have done myself. The restaurant was overpriced and food was mediocre. The location was excellent but that’s about it. The valet parking was ridiculous, they wanted $110 with no in and out privileges. I recently stayed at the Mandarin and it was less, and we had in and out privileges. They also assigned the room right in front of the elevator so we heard people and the elevator door open and shut all day and night.

Wasn’t a generic standard hotel. Both the rooms and the public areas had character. The room heating couldn’t cope with the extreme cold from outside.

AC don’t work all the time, when it did it produced a high pitched noise, there was this flashing light right above the bed that was seemingly random in its blinking pattern sometimes really bright other times not noticeable. Our first room had a view of construction equipment, second room on floor 10 was a lot better. TV stopped working after first night, two asks to fix nothing changed. It was really nice to be able to drink from the taps in the bathroom.

My central heating did not work, and the door seemed to have been taken off the shower (the roller that the glass would normally hang on was still on the door), and so during my shower, water got everywhere. Love the 1hotel brand, but for the money, i don't think I'd stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and the ambience was nice. However, the room was very cramped and had to be careful not to fall over columns and bed on the way to the bathroom. Walls were thin and there was no facial soap provided.

We stayed in the junior suite, it's one of the nicest and most comfortable hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. The decoration and ambience throughout the hotel is fantastic. The gym is very well stocked, and the meeting rooms are ideal. The staff were really nice and helpful. There is a free hotel car to take you anywhere within a 15 block radius of the hotel. We will stay here again for sure. It's quite expensive, but for the location and the quality of the hotel it's fair. It's much, much better value than other hotels in Manhattan.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room got upgraded without request. The concierge booked us a reservation a 5-star restaurant. We loved the greenery around the hotel and the decor seemed to have a European vibe.

Noisy hotel, small rooms, lack of transparency in prices for certain items even though I didn’t mind paying. I stayed here after staying at the property in Copenhagen. The Copenhagen property is impressive. This Property is less impressive because you can’t even get a good night’s sleep.

The hotel front desk staff was great, however we got scammed in the restaurant -charged $43.20 for an espresso a coffee and large Perrier, when we went back to get our credit-the bartender somehow couldn’t find our receipt, and was super suspicious, the hotel credited us for the over paid amount but it felt really icky to get scammed in the hotel you’ve paid money to stay at. The rooms were so dark and had no proper light so as soon as sun went down it was hard to see in certain corners. Zero bathroom counter space and no good lighting to do hair and makeup. Will not be coming back to this hotel.

Great hotel, great location, super comfortable. The food menu is very limited, especially with almost no options for children, but the quality of the food is very good

The Hotel is in a great location, just minutes from great shopping, restaurants, and of course Central Park. What really made me give 5 stars is the Shane at the front. He makes you feel so welcomed and always goes above and beyond to make sure you're having a great stay.

The hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating. Anything we needed, they were there to help. The attached restaurant is convenient and the food is excellent. The service is very slow but that allowed us time to get to know the tables around us. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel with a wonderful restaurant. The service was top-notch, and the rooms were clean and attractive. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Midtown for a musical or play on Broadway.

First I don't know whey they say it's at central park when it's a block away. No central park views from the hotel. The room they gave me had a view of a wall. They wifi did not work in my room and no cell service. Not worth the money you can get a better hotel for this cost.

If you’re expecting the same experience as the 1 Hotel in Miami, you’re out of your mind — it’s nowhere close. The New York location feels worn down and poorly maintained. My room had multiple issues: the air conditioning didn’t work on the first day, the safe drawer was completely off the rail and ended up breaking, and the outlets were loose and unsafe, which made it impossible for my girlfriend to even do her hair the first night. The elevators also felt like they could break down at any moment. It’s disappointing because the staff did everything they could and were a pleasure to deal with, but the property itself desperately needs maintenance and upgrades. When I return to New York in 90 days, I won’t be booking here again unless I have no other choice. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this hotel to my friends or family.

My wife and I live in Connecticut. This is our go-to hotel when we have to attend a function in Manhattan (rather than driving back). It is superb and has excellent suites at reasonable prices.

Loved the nature vibe . Great location . Restaurant and bar were amazing! Didn’t like being offered an upgraded room for our anniversary and as we walked in on a couple in the bed occupied. Was a unexpected surprise for all parties ?Then being assigned a room less than what I originally booked .Great view of a liquor store .

I purchased a hand held thermometer to test the temperature of the room (74-76°) but was told by management that engineering tested it “blowing at 60.” Over those three days it took much back and forth but I was eventually moved to a lower category room on the floor 8 next to the elevator. The new room was fine. AC worked and room was a suitable replacement. It felt way less cramped than the 14th floor suite. I was disappointed being so near the elevator because I heard everyone’s conversation (including housekeeping) that was waiting for the elevator (which often took more than 3 minutes to reach my floor). I received great customer service from some staff, Lei, Suzy and Josue. And some disappointing customer care from most everyone else. The doormen did not open the door or greet me once. Upon checkout they did not assist with luggage (I am recently recovering from bilateral broken humerus). The in-app chat was not helpful. And it once took over 10 hours for a response The positives were many despite some of the negatives. Great location, unique decor and beautiful in room bathrooms, comfortable beds. I would give them a second chance.

We had a very nice stay, would stay again albeit rooms are on the smaller side and I have been in more comfortable beds. Was a little taken back by the $7 drip coffee. Regardless enjoyed being there, very neat and clean and the service was excellent. The valet parking was huge, parking in NYC is never fun or easy.

we loved the decoration, the staff was great too although it took 4 hours to fix a toillet cloght . It took them 4 hours to fix the toillet cloght. the breakfast at the hotel`s restaurant was not good either, specially considering the price. We would love to have had a bath tub in the bathroom.

It is the perfect oasis in the middle of the city. The plants and decor add a peaceful setting in the middle of Midtown.

It is the perfect oasis in the middle of the city. The plants and decor add a peaceful setting in the middle of Midtown.

The room was in a corner next to service areas that were loud …. Maybe a service elevator? Ran off and on until late at night and started again early in the morning.

Disappointed in the size of the room based on the room charge of over $800 per day. No space to really unpack. Water from the faucet was cloudy, afraid to drink it.

I am truly obsessed with this hotel. I stay at a 1 hotel as often as I can. We stayed here last year and for some stupid reason I thought this year I would try somewhere else. I got to the other place and immediately anted to come back to 1. So we cancelled our res there and came to 1 Hotel. I will never stray again, it's so beautiful and clean and cozy and smells amazing and Jams is amazing and it's my favorite hotel on earth.

After a rocky start the reception team excelled themselves and moved us to a better room. The concierge were also first class booking our itinerary. Overall a very good stay in New York after an equally good stay at the Mayfair Hotel last year.

I love the hotel the concept is amazing. I will be back!! The window seats and concern for the environment as well as charitably are next to none. Great location as well

Very expensive for what you receive. But that’s nyc as a whole.

However, there was limited desk and shelf space within the unit. It was not possible to obtain privacy in the bathroom because of the way the doors, bathroom, and showers were situated. It was easy to hear neighbors next door. Suggestions: Larger desk and more shelf space in the kitchen. As much as I like the little lookout area at the window, this is a candidate for conversion to desk space. Allow guests to seal off the bathroom area for privacy. Get rid of the phone on the desk and substitute a direct line to the front desk on the wall.

Overall the hotel is very nice and in a nice location. Most of the staff was attentive and helpful. We did not appreciate the concierge in attempting to help with reservations and a spot at the bar within the hotel. We tried for 3 days to have a drink at the bar in the hotel, and were unsuccessful. They seem to not offer any preference to hotel guests who are spending $1200+ per night.

Nothing was too much trouble for reception, concierge & housekeeping staff including an early check in even though one wasn't guaranteed. Exceptional customer service.

Great place made from sustainable repurposed materials

I keep coming back to 1 Hotel Central Park. It's a beautiful location across the street from the Park and all the best shops such as Louis Vuitton and Bergdorf Goodman. The staff has always been super helpful and polite. Jams restaurant is also great for coffee or any meal of the day.

The location is great right near the park and shopping but there isn’t anywhere to eat and the options that there close at 9 for dinner. The amenities they charge for are lame if you don’t actually use them - Audi car service and apples in the lobby are extra so beware either way you’re paying $45 a night for them. Also, the pillows could use an upgrade they are very flat. Other than that it was very clean, quiet, and the sheets were super soft.

I am a regular hit one hotel in Miami. This is the last time I’m staying in the New York location What a shameful condition extra expensive for what they give plus the rooms are horrible and noisy , never again and if you already end up staying there, make sure you don’t need the restaurant because they will come 25 times and try to take your full plate away from you

Staff friendly and accommodating delicious dinning and quick room service , but room had a strong cigarette smell on 18th floor.

I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this establishment. The location is perfect just behind the mythic Plaza Hotel - close to 5th Avenue, Central Park and the metro is close by. There are lots of drinks, food, shopping and groceries options nearby. The front desk and concierge are helpful and kind. My room was on the 12th floor and the view was breathtaking. 1 Hotels Central Park offers a wide range of choices in the mini bar. CONS: - However, I think it could be tricky for couples regarding the bathroom since it's not soundproofed enough in my opinion (even with the curtain and sliding door). - Even though, the products are "natural" and "organic", I got serious rashes and recommend people with sensitive skins to bring their own toiletries. - There was no toilet brush available. Only room service were able to help if needed. - The insulation overall is pretty poor: you can hear your neighbors and what's happening in the corridor. If you are a light sleeper, it might be difficult. I got woken up every single morning by the door noises and room services visiting the rooms around with their hoovers.

Hotel staff was wonderful. My son and I went to watch our Dodgers beat the Yankees. Being in hostile territory, I didn’t expect to get such great service, but the staff went above and beyond to make my son feel welcomed.

This was extremely disappointing. The hotel is in need of a renovation or at least my room. It was loud as it was next to the elevator and we could barely sleep. There's carpet that wasn't properly secured to the floor where we both slipped and it could have been worse than a small bruise, my room wasn't cleaned when we came back the next day exhausted around 2 pm, the floorplan is awful with a shower in the middle of your room, there is zero privacy for the bathroom. The worst part, I put on the robe only to discover it was dirty and hung back up, overall it was gross.Many people stand out from smoking cigarettes and the entire lobby smells of this. I waiting 20 mins for management and had to leave not to miss my flight, they have made promises to reach out but almost a week later.nothing has been done. $3000 for 2 nights, I've never felt more taken advantage of. I wouldn't stay here.

Hotel services were lacking but location was convenient

Loved the mobile communication with concierge, the decor & comfort, and overall feeling of a respite in the heart of the city.

The staff at the hotel were wonderful. The downside was the room. There’s practically no privacy in the bathroom. Additionally, we paid extra for a view of the park, but the view was really lacking. It’s more of a peek. Perhaps it’s better higher up, but on the 14th floor it was predominantly a view of the roof across the street.

In happy our room was not cleaned and fee were not explained.

Bathroom was in poor condition with ceiling peeling and falling into t the shower. Unpleasant odor in room in general.

I loved everything except that the room had no view. Normal for nyc hotels, but still no view was a -1 for a $1000/night room.

Hotel was fine, location is very good for midtown and central park. I was very annoyed by the elevator situation, enough to not stay here again. They only had 1 or 2 elevators running at any given time, I was on the 18th floor of which only 2 of 3 elevators can access. This meant when they had 2 running, it kept sending me the elevator that DOES not go to the 18th floor and the other one was not coming. This happened several times over several days and was annoying. In addition, the elevators are tiny. They need to run all 3 during the day and unfortunately do not. Hotel was cool, but bed was uncomfortable and overall it was just okay.

Definitely it’s not a 5 star hotel… 4 stars would be more accurate.
