Upon arrival there was a slew of shady undesirables hanging around. Alot of loud noises and music coming from other rooms. The elevator was covered in urine and i spent about 10 minutes trying to get the key to work with the door. Once inside the entire place reeked of mildew and mold. Half of the lights wouldn’t turn on. I immediately left and went to another hotel where i felt safe and clean. DO NOT take your family here under any circumstance.

Room was to be expected for the price. Found some palmetto bugs in the kitchen cabinets. Beds were fine. Water temperature fluctuates but atleast we had hot water.

They allowed are dog which is a cane corso. The place is right on the beach. The rooms need updates.

Pets. We have a cane corso due to the breed not many places allow it. So we are grateful for this place for that. The rooms need updates.

The room was very dirty and only had a window unit for air conditioning and the pool was dirty. I booked the room in January and booked for a ocean view room and when I checked in the ocean view room was not available and I only stayed 1 night but was booked for 4 nights because we couldn't take it so we booked another room for the other 3 nights and left. Would not recommend to anyone.

The location was right on the beach and that they had a small kitty pool for toddlers. Wasn’t very sanitary and there was a couple that said they worked for the establishment as security but was vey rude and harassed us for no apparent reason. Won’t be staying there again.

Staff friendly and laid back We were supposed to have the bottom floor our room ended up being on the 3rd floor. The room we got wasnt the room we booked. The one we booked had tile, this one was carpet and smelled like old cigarette smoke. The bathroom light and the small light beside the bed were the only lights to work in our room. Very outdated and needs a lot of work.

The rooms are all ocean view pretty much, just some are not forward facing, because they are labeled pool view. But the bedrooms are fantastic! The kitchen and everything being comfortable felt like I was home. The front room didn't have any air conditioning! And you can tell it's an old hotel.

I could say someone from the office basically robbed me . Second time they got almost 300 from my card WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!! I ASKED AND NO ONE DIDN'T KNOW WHO DID IT. I wanted to talk to the owner and he was a bit rude . Didn't pay attention to me. When booboo wanted to help me and she asked the owner he basically was rude to her and said (WE DONT STEAL) she said I know but I can see in the system that the hotel did in fact got the money from MY CARD!!! instead of being compassionate and help he just got mad and ignored it... im disappointed:(

Water temperature in the shower would go from scalding hot to freezing cold without adjusting the knobs. Several police and an ambulance were there dude to reported gunshots

There was a lot of noise at night making it hard to sleep.

When we arrived, they told us the pool was closed for the day. Did not give a reason. They had a leak somewhere, which is understandable so we had no water for the first two hours. The room was missing a drawer in the kitchen, stunk like marijuana and the bathtub was literally peeling although it was very last minute due to a plane delay, and I only paid $100. It was definitely a place. I would never stay again.

The motel was not clean it was trash under the beds and they must have had a bad fruit fly infestation in the bathroom because they were on the ceiling smashed up ewww .

The refrigerator was not working properly, not cold only freezer. Bathroom door damaged. Place was not cleaned. Staff very nice and friendly.

Check in staff were very kind, but assigned me the wrong room, not what I booked, they did get that straightened out. The billing was incorrect, and we did not have advanced notice that a $100 cash only hold had to be collected at check in. Thankfully I had that with me. Cleaning staff were very nice and helpful, but very understaffed. Our dirty towels sat outside our room for three days, with no replacement, and we had to go to the desk three times throughout one day (morning to late night) to try to get towels to shower, have toiletries replaced and garbage bags. The new owner is very nice and you can tell they are working hard to improve the property.

That it was walking distance to the beach. The rooms are old. Carpet needs to be pulled and replaced! Chairs were nasty! Curtains were nasty! I was afraid to sleep in the bed! I always bring Clorox wipes and Lysol and I needed it all! The sink was stopping up! The toilet was running! And the pool wasn’t cleaned to be used.

Very welcoming to pets. Had a partial view of the ocean. Everything was ok until I was ate up by bedbugs. I was only given 5 dollars to wash all of our stuff and only refunded half of my money back when we left to purchase a different hotel after washing absolutely EVERYTHING. Lost 2 days of vacay because of this!

Find somewhere else. This hotel has a massive roach (not palmetto bugs) infestation, its disgustingly unclean and has a drug problem involving needles on the property. The "oceanview" balcany includes the sight and smell of dog feces.

Additionally, I experienced a significant inconvenience when I was locked out of my room due to a malfunctioning deadbolt and the bed sheet got stuck, which ultimately had to be forcibly removed by staff. The toilet in the room repeatedly clogged, further impacting the quality of my stay. There were also issues with other guests smoking in the vicinity, which created an uncomfortable environment, and the elevator appeared to be unreliable and not functioning properly. I chose this motel specifically because it advertised itself as pet-friendly, as my usual resort does not accommodate pets unless they are service animals. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet reasonable expectations for cleanliness, safety, or comfort. Given these circumstances, I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and that appropriate consideration be given.

We were late to getting there no one was at the front desk the door was unlocked.

Didnt use the pools we went for the beach view & from our room all we seen was beach for miles, For a budget friendly vacation you couldnt ask for anything any better. I loved the staff they were very helpful and friendly. Made sure we had everything we needed! The building hasnt been updated but thats why its so budget friendly so as far as im concerned they dont need to update a thing i love it the way it is. The pools were accessible they have 2 diffrent ones i seen both outdoors but who would want to swim in them when the beach is so close. I cant say enough good things this place is amazing plan your trip there its worth it you get your deposit back.

The staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was amazing. The property could of used cleaned up some but people should just clean up after their dog. I will stay here again.

The room was horrible. No heat, no cold water in shower, bathroom sink was stopped up. They moved us to another room that the heat didn’t work in as well. They also did not give me the ocean front room I paid for. I will never stay again. They also owe me a refund because I paid for one thing and got the cheapest one.

I'm very excited about the changes coming up in the near future. Ive been coming to the Oceanfront Viking Motel for decades and this was one of my best stays. I would encourage everyone to give them another chance before they make a final decision on the establishment.

Except I paid to have extended 2 nights and I paid through hotels. com i just need someone to help me understand if I paid twice for those two nights. That was whete I was confused. Otherwise everything has been great! Got to enjoy the horses on the beach too.

No microwave! the tv was stuck on big zoom so we couldnt see the whole picture in the main room. No tv in the other room for the kids. Several power outlets didnt work. I need them for my cpap. Had to get a drop cord. Ceiling was in horrible shape. The toilet was leaking around the Sill. The carpet was so nasty our feet turned black. The ice machine was broken. Our window view was blocked by a white film. Very slow elevator. We couldnt shut the door between rooms for privacy because the only air-conditioner was in the back room. Our beds were clean and the pool was clean. Trash all over the property and side walks.

The pictures are very misleading on the site. My family of six were disgusted with the room. Lights didn’t work everything was nasty. I actually did a video but I could not load like a pic. There was mold in the bathroom and water was constantly running. It was a nightmare. I tried to even get another room but was told it was unavailable, meanwhile one was still open the next day. I will never go by website pics ever again.

This place was a dump! There was water soaked in the carpet and bugs. There were people loitering all night yelling and screaming all night until 2:30 am. This happened 3 nights in a row.

Bed bugs needles in parking next to pool and just plain nasty i booked a room and when i arrived staff was rude and after seeing the state of the place a refused to stay. There was trash all over the property when we got there, and was still there when we left.even the pool had trash floating in it. I told them about it and couldn’t even leave our balcony door open because the flys were so bad from the trash and dog poop all over the ground.we watched as NOBODY but us picked up after their dog, very disgusting. Then wake up to the homeless couple that we watched stealing from people sleeping outside on the ground in front of our room on the property. Been to this place 3,4,5 years ago and was not this bad ,very ghetto for kids or anybody to stay. Also ice machine broke had to drive to there sister motel to get ice We Will never go back . DO NOT RECOMMEND,I paid 175$ for my dog to stay there and step in everybody else dogs poop, not very happy at all they really should be closed down it’s a lot more then what I wrote.

The beds were super comfy! No bugs….first thing I always look for!!! Staff was friendly and helpful. The carpets need cleaned, or better yet redone. It’s overall quiet, and relaxing. Close and easy beach access. Close parking is very limited, but there’s plenty of parking across the street. I do recommend, and would stay here again. Definitely worth the money.

There was nothing that i liked especially after finding out that there was BED BUGS in our room and my brother and my son got ate up and management would not doing anything about it they would not provides us with another room for the inconvenience of the BED BUGS management would not DO ANYTHING for us. Than my mom fell and no one came to help her not house keeping or management

For 200 a night and adding a resort fee onto my stay, no thank you. The rooms are a 5/10 at the most but for the right price I would stay here again.

First thing at check-in desk clerk was not talking and was visibly irritated, the room was not oceanfront like they said,pictures on expedia are NOT what the rooms are!! BEWARE! This is definitely what u call a crackmotel. Don’t stay here! Another family arrived same day,there floor was soaked. STAY AWAY! There are many other places to stay please dont pick this one. I’m sorry but for this price the rooms should at least be presentable. Shame on you polynesia properties! DO BETTER

This place is a dump. I've never seen a hotel that only has a few non- smoking rooms. They put us in a room where previous occupants were smoking. My wife got headache in 1 hr sitting in room. The carpet was filthy, the bed side lamps didn't work. I've never seen such a disusting hotel room. We left in 1 hr, couldn't stay there.

Overall nice and cheap place to stay. Would I stay again yes if I was tight on cash. Although the Pet smell is very bad owners need to pick up poop. Trash was everywhere and our place not all the kitchen stuff worked. We didn't even have a microwave. The really need to update the place over all I give it a C grade

If you're traveling with kids or need a non-smoking room, avoid this place. All rooms allow smoking, regardless of what’s advertised. Management gives false assurances to get you through the door, but won’t issue refunds. Expedia won’t protect you either — they defer to the property’s policies. Our room wasn’t ready even by 5:30 PM, was dirty, smelled of smoke, and lacked the ocean view we paid for. We canceled upon arrival, as did other guests checking in at the same time. The front desk staff were polite but powerless — all decisions come from management and ownership. Extremely disappointing experience.

I liked the location. I would like to return to this location. The bathroom tub didn't drain property. The stove didn't work properly. Three(3)plus hours check-in, waiting for our room. we informed management

On a positive note, Staff was very friendly, there were no bugs and the oceanfront view was great! Our stay wasn’t awful, but I won’t be staying again unless it’s updated!

Horrible place to stay, no housekeeping offered. Filthy from top to bottom; lobby, rooms and all over the hotel. The only positive thing is that it’s ocean front.

Very unclean and not well kept. Also full payment upfront and attestation that services were delivered required at check in is odd policy. Room keys really hard to work. Only good part is proximity to ocean.

We were there for 1 week. Our room was never cleaned once. No fresh sheets or towels. Shower had little to no pressure and just trickled.

Checked in was inline for a while, then you’re lucky if you can get one of the 15 parking spots otherwise you park across the street. Go up stairs to figure out which key actually opens the door, and you walk into a room that hasn’t been renovated since new. The beds were horrible but the sheets were clean unfortunately the comforters are either stained or have cigarette burns in them. The carpets are disgusting and are stained. No microwave it’s had a stove but looks like a crackhead had already tried stripping some parts off it and telephone was actually ripped out of the wall. And the while smelled of cat piss and cigarettes. But hey it’s next to the beach.

It was ok for the price that we paid everyone was nice but really not enough parking in front of hotel and then they never did bring anymore toilet paper or anything. You always had to go ask. But overall it was good.

Only good thing is that Laundry guy there was very consistent with bringing towels and trash bags daily. Don’t recommend a room with hard wood floor if you are going to the beach with kids. Sand gets everywhere on the floor and the A/C unit causes the floors to stay moist. Floors are so slippery. Also Spotted two roaches the 5 nights we were there

I loved it all, the pool was cleaned everyday, the AC was cold. Loved that it had a small kitchen no microwave though. Parking wasn't an issue because we are handicapped in which they designated if full which I really loved. They made my vacation amazing. Staff was amazing very nice and helpful.

The facility looks to not have been updated since the early 80's, which isn't a problem on its own, but there are many fees that are written on paper at the counter that you will incur if you pay with the "wrong type of bank" or declare a pet. Pets are like $$ extra.... Which was not stated

Sink was clogged, shower drain was slow, shower head sprayed everywhere got the entire bathroom wet, tv was broke, ac was filthy, holes and cracks around door frame and window, paint job looked like a 5 year old did it, floor was dirty. Bed was half way decent. Stopped by front desk, they called maintenance. They came while at dinner. Didn't do anything.

The room we picked was Ocean view.We were on bottom floor by the laundry room..Barely a view of the ocean.The room itself was half cleaned.Found a sock and a kids toy left under bed from previous guest.The bedding was ripped and unwashed and it stunk of body odor.The chairs at the dining table were outdated and cushions were so dirty i had to put a towel down to sit there.The bathroom was decent .Said kitchen but no microwave which i thought odd.Pool was nice and clean .Not much parking so you have to park across street.It is pet friendly which we didnt realize.The carpet had stains and ripped.Very close access th beach which was nice.So if you can get a cheap rate it may be worth it.

It was a ok stay. The carpet needed cleaned, so I wouldn’t walk around without any shoes in the room. Other then that it was ok.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at I wasn’t there for a couple hours after check in and left as soon we we found roaches everywhere and a toilet paper roll with blood stains from needles and they won’t give you a refund. DO NOT STAY HERE!! I checked out after the first night's stay. The room was NASTY, dirt on the doors, chairs, floors, the room next to ours had major leaks & the ppl inside got rained on thru the night. Mold on the ceilings. TV in the room but no remote, fridge/freezer didnt work at all including the light. Will NEVER stay here again. It needs to be shut down and renovated.

The room smelled like cat pee. We had to get air fresheners and spray. The floors were dirty. We cleaned the floors with Clorox wipes and they were black. Ramen noodles between night stand and bed in one room. Pudding cup in the other. People smoking marijuana on the balconies. Trash on the balconies and hotel. Not sufficient parking at hotel. You had to park across the road. Other thank that the location was good. Walk right out to beach.

This is a horrible place to stay. There's a lot of sketchy people hanging around late at night. When I checked into my hotel, the ceiling was leaking water in the shower. I did get moved to a different room. The ocean view that they say you have is literally looking out your window. I would never stay here again.

The stay was decent. We loved the location and it being on the beach side. We didn’t care for a carpeted room or made for the room to feel damp. But the staff was very friendly and efficient. Overall it was great for the short stay we had. We would stay here again.

We stay here for a weekend once a year

They first sent me to a room that someone else was already in. Then they sent me to the type of room i reserved with kitchen but the air conditioner didn't work so then they moved me to a room that didnt even have a microwave and when i got there they charged a 100 dollar deposit and at check out time the next morning there was people waiting in line because no one was there to check out and get deposit back it was the worst motel i have ever been to also there wasn't any parking at all

The staff is A+. But the hotel lacks maintenance. I had to call the front desk to get someone to push the door in since it was stuck closed. No ice machine in the facility or microwave inside the room.

This is an apart-hotel. The room featured a living area, a full kitchen, and a dining table. It is more recommended for a large family, on a long stay. I was on a sólo, 1-night stay, so did not get to benefit from those extras. Premises are old and rundown, but the staff gracefully make up for that with excellent customer service.

This is a very tired budget hotel that needs a complete renovation the best thing about it is the staff tried their best and the proximity to the beach

There was an issue with the water leaking no good pressure in shower. It could be a repainted and cleaned up better on outside.

The room was very clean and the staff was very polite. It was great quality for a budget stay. With the area it’s in the beach was also pretty empty. The area was very quiet was well.

The airconditioner sits above the refrigerator, you have to climb on a chair to adjust the temp. The smell of weed permeated the place.

Someone stole our property while staying there. Management couldn’t do anything about it.

Deposits are $100 cash only, though this didn't bother me because it is stated in the description of the hotel and was not a surprise upon arrival. However, many other guests were upset about this and also were demanding a refund for their reservations.

Waited in line for 30 minutes just to check out and waited forever to check out. There are other places to stay for just as much with WAYYY better service. I will never stay here again.

I traveled with kids ages 5 to 15. At furst I only booked 1 night because of the hundred bad reviews and its what I could afford that night. But after checking in we def wanted to stay a second night there. The staff was wonderful. Yes the 1 cleaning lady spoke little English and didnt understand us asking for towels for the 2nd stay but the front desk got us 2 extra sets of towels so no issues. There were no bugs in our room at all not even a fly. The pool was clean. Yes parking is crazy because its shared with another hotel but across the street is a whole parking lot for the hitel so again no issues and no complaints. We loved it and will def stay there again for future visits. Thank you for making our 2 day trip the best weve had out there....

Horrible front desk service, has a cash only room deposit, only one room key which was a physical key. Was unfamiliar with the area and did not expect much with the price . However not only was the hotel and staff horrible most of the other guests were horrible. I would not stay here or anywhere near the area

I didn't stay here because of unexpected fee's. 190 for 2tonight's dog fee's. When I was told that I told them to cancel my room! we had to get another hotel because of our dog. and been trying to get a refund 🙄 😒...and when I was in the office the music at the pool was so loud!! and the place can use some attention!! It is not a Resort. It looked like a Regular hotel to me.

Get a different hotel if you're wanting to see the beach. The beach view can only be booked on their website. It's dirty. Random people have access due to the public beach.

I would advise you to look elsewhere. First I went through hell getting. I called to see what all I needed to bring when I came to checkin the man told me the amount and my dl i was like ok because I wanted to have the correct amount no extra cash . Once I got there they added $200 cash for me and kids. After paying we received keys to room 215 1st. That room had roaches living in the ac unit as soon as I pulled the pillow from headboard roaches went scattering. I went to ask for refund she told me to try another room. All together I looked at 215, 217,218,312, and 115. Each room was has roach problems 217 had bedbugs. (Luckily we never brought our things out the car) I room even had a roach motel laying in the trash back from 04/23.

The staff was amazing. 0 issues customer service wise and very friendly. The location is terrible. There were people selling drugs out of the room next to us and in the parking lot. People visibly nodding out in the parking lot. The room was filthy. The room was infested with roaches and bed bugs. We were there for 6 hours and immediately got a refund and switched hotels. Tbh the photos do the hotel way more justice than reality and the building should probably be condemned. Please do not stay here. The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in my life and there is a reason it is so cheap.
