It's located across the street from family kingdom The property had trash on the staircase, the bathtub faucet would come out the wall with a slight pull, while showering the water pressure dropped to almost a drizzle and the hot water turned cold, they gave me 1 room key but charged me for not returning 2 keys. The room smelled weird and I have small bumps on my forearm and legs possibly bed bug bites

I walked from the beach back to my room because I forgot something like 3 times and it was like walking to my car if I had parked at the beach. The room was clean, shower was hot, tv worked, sheets were clean, a whole bunch of stuff to do and places to eat were like 5 feet away.

Location House keepers were very unpleasant.you couldn't tell any of them were happy with there jobs lol.and 1 lady at the front desk that has brown/reddish hair and has tiny dog is very rude and unpleasant as well.

I liked the view. The ladies that checked us in were super nice. The room was still in the 70's, literally. There was rust on anything metal and mold on the lamp shades. The chair just inside the door was dirty and stained and smelled. The curtains were frayed.

I like the oceanfront and that the hotel is on the strip What I did not like is that there’s no elevator someone like myself has a problem with side nerve from a car accident so climbing the steps in already in pain wasn’t so fun. Also, if you’re wet and get your hair wet, there was no blow dryer in the room no coffee maker no cups no thing for ice. None of that whether there was a kitchen in it or not those things should’ve been in there. and more washcloths and towels it’s the beach so there’s gonna be more towels getting used people with sand all over them are gonna need to take showers more

The employees expect from one who check us in.the lock on the door stop working and the cleaning crew jump right in to help us get moved to a new room . They definitely clean u can smell the cleaning products that was a plus will definitely go back Them stairs lol. Boy did I get my workout on but for the view well worth it

My family has stayed here multiple times within the last few years and the place has severely gone downhill. Rooms are gross. Beds are itchy. Guests are loud at all hours of the night slamming doors and what looks like selling drugs. Definitely not a place for a family.

The whole place was horrible. No elevator- though advertised. Very run down. Couldn't bear to stay- we walked in and walked out- and had to find another place.

Overall I liked it here and would stay again.

The beach was super close There was shards of glass on the ground the pool was locked, the smell of weed and cigarettes was very unpleasant

The location was the only good thing about this place Me nor my kids were able to take a shower because of the water pressure. They told me that it happens because they don’t run the water through the winter like they’re supposed to be my problem.

Location. Sanitation, staff and the abundance of folks smoking pot. The first room that we were giving was a smoking room. I honestly didn’t know they did that anymore. We were able to get a second room, but it seemed like an unreasonable ask for me and my family. The weed smell was extremely strong in our room as well as around the motel. Additionally, the keys had to be constantly programmed to allow us access, twice in once day. The microwave looked like it had been fished out of the ocean.

After check in the key card would not open to the room , the door looked like it had previously been pried open . The Office clerk gave us two more key cards and they door would not budge . Was moved to a different room after another visit to the office , and was able to access the room . I was beside myself , the odor from cigarette smoke and basement smell would knock you down . Old is one thing but straight up nasty is something totally different , I would not have even sit on the bed . Front desk was friendly with quick check in...hotel is a little older but room was clean and it was right on the beach...it was about a block away from family kingdom amusement park..it isn't open for another month but very convenient...overall nice two night stay and will stay again

We had to move rooms 3 times. No air conditioning in first room. Then in the second, the mildew and mold smell was so strong we had to move again. In the third the ppl. beside us partied all night and someone was shooting a gun all night. U had to time ur showers because u only had 5 min. before the water cut off.

If you literally just need a place to sleep then this is a good stop. But the room is dirty and smells of moisture. The tv didnt work. I told front staff and got no response. The phone in the room is literally just decoration and not plugged into anything.

I was very pleased with this hotel. My child and I stayed for 3 nights and didn't have any problems. Our room even had a stove and full sized refrigerator. It was within walking distance of many restaurants and shops and was overall clean. Could it use some updates? Sure. But for the price, location, and accommodations it was a great choice for us.

It’s a decent place to sleep. I didn’t see any bugs like other reviewers said. I’m not very picky though and always bring my own bedding and cleaning supplies to any hotel I stay in. The hotel is old, but it’s a nice affordable place to stay for a few nights right on the ocean. Just make sure you bring your own toilet paper!

Motels is very old. They charge way to much for the conditions. Needs to be torn down and rebuild. Only thing remodeled was the bathroom. Staff was cool and motel was right near beach.

I did not like that we brought our 8 month old child into a place that had Marijuana laying on the floor of the room, dirty floors, had roaches, had a lot of riff raff outside, smelled horrible, only 2 towels for 4 people, a half a roll of toilet paper with no extra and the people were not friendly.

Honest review here, we arrived staff was very nice. Our room had a weird smell especially around the air conditioner. Floors in rooms (vinyl) need to be mopped. It turned our feet brown and we wore shoes inside.

Well had to ask for toilet paper and towels every day no ice machine or snack machines had to ask for a broom to sweep out the sand out of the room the people were very nice

There was old candy on the floor around the bed and side chairs, no kitchen area as website had shown and there was a hairy mess around the toilet. Check-in process was a lot more complicated than it needed to be (wanted to see my wife's ID at check-in when in fact I had made a room reservation for two people - did they think she was a prostitute?). The room was also not very clean...had dog hair on the dust-cover blanket and what looked like dried up dog food on the floor (maybe hotels in Myrtle Beach should consider having a "pet-free" option for a room). Also had to show a copy of my check-in receipt when I left in the morning because apparently my name "disappeared" from their database. A lot of incompetence but for the low price and the fact we were just there to sleep it was tolerable.

My stay at Sea Dunes was overall good except for we were unable to get ice I was told that ice was only for the residents facing the ocean I think they call it triage rooms the rooms in the back. But the overall room was clean and housekeeping provided great service.

This room was advertised as having a partial ocean view with a balcony. Instead it was a view of the parking lot and a chair outside the door in the walkway. The door did not seal well at the bottom, so smoke from the employees on their smoke break drifted in. This area is very loud.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay. It was lower priced than others that are not nearly as nice. It is a small older motel on the oceanfront. We were able to park just a few feet from our door. The laminate flooring was new. The room was spacious with 2 very comfortable queen beds, 4 tables and 6 chairs. The kitchenette was small but included a stove with oven as well as microwave and refrigerator. We were making a quick return trip to Myrtle Beach so we did not have time to use pools and other amenities that the resorts have and charge an extra fee for. I would definitely recommend this place and will plan to stay there again.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay. It was lower priced than others that are not nearly as nice. It is a small older motel on the oceanfront. We were able to park just a few feet from our door. The laminate flooring was new. The room was spacious with 2 very comfortable queen beds, 4 tables and 6 chairs. The kitchenette was small but included a stove with oven as well as microwave and refrigerator. I enjoyed my stay. The housekeeper got a room cleaned so I was able to check in early. Always had clean linens. Pool was clean. Overall, for the price it wasn’t a bad stay!

Great value and friendly staff. Had a fun weekend. It's not the Hilton resort, but it had a bed, shower clean room and a pool. Plus, right on the beach. You can't really complain for the value. Would stay again.

It was dirty and very old!!! The outside and inside. It had a lot of people hanging out around the building.

Doors didnt seal very well and was supposed to be Ocean front was side veiw and barely could see it pool was out side and water in pool was cold,hardly any place to park,

The rooms were clean. The bare minimum. Pool was small but so was the hotel. Very convient to family kingdom and bars close by. The staff was friendly. I dont have any complaints about the property. This is a 2 star place to stay but if your just looking for somewhere to lay your head at night or just the minimum stay this is a nice choice.

If you dont smoke dont stay here. Rooms smell like pure cigarettes and are dirty. Even the bed sheets have cigarette burns in them. You get what you pay for and i should have paid more.

The area it was at everything is in walking distance wat I DNT like they didn't have breakfast in the morning just coffee the employees are beautiful people 😍 I would definitely go back their

another disappointment was that the room we got was first level facing the swimming pool and no ocean view although we had been charged extra for ocean view. the location of the hotel is perfect very close to the beach. I saw some happy customers so I might be too picky but you asked for my personal opinion,

The bathrooms are in disrepair and they have roaches

First thing we get there we on the 3rd floor have to carry luggage up 2 flights of stairs. The would be elevator is sealed off, with drywall. Smh. Then we bought a box of donuts, ate 2 out the box. Go back for another one and a roach is in the box. I go to brush my teeth and one comes out the hole in the sink. They say no smoking in the rooms yet I smell cigarettes @ 3am. There was bread behind the bed, I only seen it because I dropped my charger. They knocked on the door @ 10:30am asked if we needed clean towels. I gave her the dirty ones. We didn’t get clean ones til 2:30pm. Even after I called down to the front desk to tell her I have a interview. I ended up using my beach towels that I bought. The only good thing about this hotel is that it was close to the beach and had security cameras so my truck was safe.

I do like that it’s right at the beach, what I didn’t like is that you have to pay for ice if you need it

Door card didnot work good someone had to let us in three times every time we left someone got our parking space infront of our room stove inpoor shape

Good location. Staff very friendly. Not a 5 star, but a good hotel

The property was ocean front and convenient to amenities. The staff was polite and helpful. They didn’t seem to be inconvenienced when asked for their help. The pool area was clean. The walk to the beach was short.
