    I was in a car accident on the way to hotel and was hospitalized for 2 days. The hotel still charged me while I never checked in and also informed them of the incident. I will never stay at this location nor book them. Choose wisely

    Its supposed to be dog friendly but if your dog sneezed they were calling. Also the TV was HORRIBLE! I spent more time buffering and channel unavailable than anything! I called the front desk twice to no avail!

    The property description and ratings are not accurate. The property needs some maintenance. A room next to ours was playing music and singing along as well as having multiple phone calls on speaker phone at 1045 pm. Called the front desk and they said they would take care of it and the noise persisted another 40 minutes. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

    The pool was good but this place is not worth the price The bathrooms were nasty it had a constant drip in the bathtub and there was huge stains on the bed. The bed felt really rough to lay in. The Ac doesn’t get cold and this is a pet friendly place so beware you will not get any sleep from the constant dog barking not to mention when it hits day 5 and your so sleep deprived and have to drive back hours to where ever you live is hard. I personally don’t recommend this place. It’s not worth the money honestly if it was a lot cheaper it would have been easy to over look a lot. But this was insane. On my first and second night there was a guy going up the hallway screaming and banging on doors it just was awful

    For the price this was a good overnight stop. I suspect most people using this location are on vacation, whereas I simply used it as an overnight stop before heading to the airport the next morning. Given it's not directly on the beach it was significantly cheaper than a lot of the other similar hotels in town. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and I'd stay there again. There were some rough edges in the room, some things that could be updated, but overall it was fine.

    I would avoid staying here if possible. The interior feels dated, and the common areas are poorly maintained. The elevator doors were dirty, and the ice machine on the third floor was out of order. Although my room had been updated and was fine, I received no housekeeping service during my three-night stay. The complimentary breakfast was very poor. The day after I checked out, I discovered I had been overcharged by $150. I contacted the property right away but still have not received a response or a copy of my final bill. Six days later, only $100 has been refunded, and I still do not know what the remaining $50 charge was for. To avoid the hassle, I recommend staying somewhere else in Myrtle Beach.

    Very close to the beach. Less than a 10 minute walk. Employees were also friendly. Majority of the rooms are adjoining which means YOU WILL HEAR EVERY WORD OF YOUR NEIGHBOR. This is not an exaggeration. This hotel is very poorly sound insulated. If your adjoining neighbors watch TV till 1AM you are also wa4ching TV until 1AM. Rooms in general are what you pay for. Lower end and aged. Not very clean, but rather surface level clean.

    The front desk staff was absolutely amazing. We encountered a problem with our room and they took care of it immediately by changing our room. We didn’t use the pool at all. The breakfast was good and plentiful. It is in a great location which made it easy to get to everything that we had planned. We would definitely stay here again when we are in town.

    There is a &100'deposit & parking is $25 per night. I didn't see this listed in the booking. Room had a slightly stale smell but nothing air freshener couldn't help. Close to the beach, with comfortable beds. Would stay again!!

    the bathroom was horrendous, the tub had big chips in it everywhere, the vent grate was completely rusted, the ice machine on my floor did not work, the television was not working and showing a "network connection error" the wifi wouldn't connect. But at lest the sheets and towels were clean and smelled nice.

    We stayed for one night, the room looked like it hadn’t even been swept, there was white debris on the bathroom floor, hidden fees, and the worst hotel stay we’ve had. They’ve added a smoke detector to the rooms that charges $500 if it sets off for any reason (charged immediately to your card) which is no problem for my wife and I anyway. However they couldn’t tell us if her nebulizer vapors would affect it. The walls were paper thin and every noise wakes you at night from other guests or the busy N kings HWY traffic. Breakfast was basic, oatmeal, cereal, eggs, sausage, yogurt, I believe fruit and waffles. The staff was split. Some were very friendly and others were standoffish and rude. Stay at your own risk for sure. We won’t be returning.

    Just breakfast Had no room service for the whole stay, 4 nights, even the day after the holiday the room was not serviced, had to find additional trash bags and take our own trash out, had to ask for additional towels, fire alarm went off while ironing clothes. There was mold on one wall and on the ceiling.

    Was close enough to pretty much everything. The price for 3 nights was decent. Smelled like dog poo. Dogs constantly barking. Bedding was stained and covered in, im assuming dog fur. Towels were so worn they looked like cleaning rags. No actual housekeeping that cleaned the rooms during the stay. Less than edible breakfasts of sausage and hard boiled eggs. Mattresses were sinking in. For the price i expected it to be a bit nicer, without feeling i was going to need vaccines staying there.

    Location Upon check in I was told there was no option for late check out, due to maid service not working on Sunday. Also told there would be no service while we were there, but if we needed more towels we could get them at front desk. While we were out, maid service entered our room and gave us more soap, but did not replace dirty towels. Upon electronic check out.. I was given the option to pick late check out! (Too late) the shower curtain was a foot too long, which lead to water spilling onto the floor

    Despite the outside looking sketchy, it was pretty nice inside. I wish we were given a DND sign, as we kept getting visited by maintenance. No issue, I can understand. You pretty much get what you paid for. There wasn’t much provided in the bathroom, I guess only the “needs” but conditioner and body wash would’ve been nice😅 Other than that, it’s a pretty affordable place to stay that’s very near the beach without needing to pay for parking at the beach, as you can just walk 5 minutes and be there.

There is also a lady at the front desk with short hair I do not remember her name but she is an absolute keeper we loved her. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed.     My son had a very long weekend, followed by a red eye flight he didn’t get much sleep on, then was stranded at airport for some time. All he needed was a bed to rest before he had a meeting the afternoon he arrived. Found this hotel, booked it, called and spoke with Angel to ask if he can checkin a little early. When my son arrived, he asked if he can leave his luggage there until he was allowed to checkin to his room. He thought he’d have to go on a walk or sit at a coffee shop to wait for the checkin time. Angel understood he had a long weekend, day, night, and was exhausted. She gave him his room key and let him checkin right away to go get the sleep he needed before his meeting. Thank You, Angel!

    The staff was amazing and our stay was peaceful. I only have a few complaints about cleanliness. We had a 3 p.m. check-in and arrived two hours late; there should have been ample time for our room to be wiped down, swept, and mopped. Crumbs and residue left on the tables from the last guest(s), bottle caps and dust bunnies under the bed. There was sticky residue on the floor in multiple locations (presumably spilled drink), looking messily cleaned by the last guest. I also noticed the bathroom tile was filthy and when I went to wipe water off the floor the towel was BLACK. Needless to say, we immediately bought disinfectant and wiped/sprayed EVERYTHING. Would stay again, but the house needs keeping!

When I called the General manager was incredibly rude. She wouldn’t help me get my stuff back until I mentioned I would call the police she then got mad at me and hung up. She said it would take days for an investigation and to see where my stuff went. She said there was nothing in lost and found. When I arrived back at the property my stuff was in her office. The front desk woman said she put it there last night, meaning the GM knew it was there. Thankfully, my iPad, wallet, medications and money was all in there.

    I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained, from the rooms to the common areas. One of the best parts was the close access to the private beach shore, which made it very relaxing and peaceful without large crowds. The customer service was outstanding — the staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable experience, and I would definitely stay here again.

    The location was nice. Not a terrible drive to anything and everything available. The check in was awesome, the face of the hotel seemed nice. Then we walked to our room and it just got worse. The floors were dirty , and they are tile so it was sooo sticky and noticeable. The walls were dirty with just grim. The room was large and had potential. However the shower was outdated and the pressure was so low I ended up having to use a cup for the faucet to rinse my hair. There are zero utensils or pans for the kitchenette. The fridge never closed so our stuff stayed sub cool. And the AC didn’t work. The sketchy factor was just too high. There were people not even staying at the hotel walking the grounds smoking and drinking. I unfortunately wanted to give this property a try but after I checked out early and they didn’t want to refund me my last few nights. I felt slighted and disappointed.

The walls were dirty with just grim. The room was large and had potential. However the shower was outdated and the pressure was so low I ended up having to use a cup for the faucet to rinse my hair. There are zero utensils or pans for the kitchenette. The fridge never closed so our stuff stayed sub cool. And the AC didn’t work. The sketchy factor was just too high. There were people not even staying at the hotel walking the grounds smoking and drinking. I unfortunately wanted to give this property a try but after I checked out early and they didn’t want to refund me my last few nights. I felt slighted and disappointed.

    The hotel was old. The carpet was coming up in places along with baseboards. The bathroom vents haven’t been cleaned for awhile. There was ALOT of weed being smoked in the rooms. For being non smoking it was full of smokers doing weed. Overall I was definitely not impressed with my stay.

    This hotel is very nice and in a great location. We stayed for the last weekend of bike week and found it to be in the perfect location. They are very dog friendly which was amazing. The staff was so great and nice. There is plenty of parking as well. The only thing that needs some attention is the showers, they need to be upgraded but still worked perfectly. If I could give this hotel more stars I would. We will definitely stay again.

    Pretty decent hotel. Pool was relatively clean. Free parking. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was paying a $35 early check-in fee. I understand it’s Myrtle Beach bike week, but they had a room ready to go. You can call an AirBnB a weekend in advance to check in early. They’ll typically let you do so without charge. Otherwise, 4/5.

    I was there for 5 days and my room was never cleaned and I had to put my trash outside my door for pick-up. If I needed towels l had to go to the front desk. My closet didn"t have any hangers and front desk staff had to find me 5 hangers for 2 people .Also, my bathroom vents was full of dust so when the heat/air was on the dust blew. Parking and outside pool was great. Hotel needs a cleaning.

    Parking is somewhat paid but they rarely if ever tow according to them. There’s a parking lot at the Friendlies next door that they won’t tow until after 10 or something when they close, but if you have guests tell them to give you an extra parking pass.

    The worst part was the amount of noise coming from neighboring rooms. From a couple arguing late into the night in a foreign language to what we're guessing were motorcyclists attending the big bike rally in Myrtle (wish we would've known!) hollering at all hours, to several TVs blaring, we didn't get a decent night's sleep. The ice machine on the 3rd floor didn't work. The best thing about the hotel was the two front desk women who did their best to provide great service. God bless them.

    nothing at all. room 245 was dirty soon as we walked in it smell like dog feet and dog hair everywhere. carpet was not cleaned, bathroom wasn’t cleaned, the sink was stopped up, the bathtub was not cleaned (mold and mildew) when we asked the front desk about it we understood that it was sold out night but asked can we at least get the room recleaned, front desk on 2nd shift gave us a glade spray like wtf. next day as requested to get the room cleaned again, the housekeeper madison only made the beds the issue was not fixed. we dealt with this horrible experience for 2 damn days !!! no issue was resolved we slept on TOP of the bed sheets and had to ask for extra blankets!

    Clean room, friendly staff, great location. The hotel over-booked guests, and at around 9:30pm, I had just gotten into bed, and a moment later, people I didn't know unlocked my room door and began to walk in. As soon as they saw me, they were startled for a moment, as I was too, and they backed out the door. A minute later I reopened the door, they were still standing in the hallway, they apologized, but it wasn't their fault, they were sold my room for the night, after I had just checked in hours earlier. Long story short, I walked down to the front desk to confirm my bad experience, but the person working the desk was tied up with another customer, who was being told that the room that she had booked wasn't available either, and rightfully so, she wasn't taking it well. After waiting 5 minutes, I decided to return to my room and make my report in the morning to the day shift staff instead, but when I got back to my room, I found out that my room key no longer worked, by the time I got it resolved with the front desk clerk, I didn't get back to bed and sleep until much later than I was planning, this shouldn't have happened! :(

    I liked that the rooms were clean. The staff were great and very helpful. A nice lively and colorful lobby kept clean. We were able to take our dog which was a great plus. I've been on hotel/motel stays where the rooms smelled of dog... . These rooms were pleasant and did not smell at all I hoped it was closer to the beach it was a brisk walk. The walls are not thick enough we listened to the alarm next door for 30 mins and finally called the front to turn it off. The other room had very loud children that ran up and down the halls noisily all hours. I called front but nothing was done, they even knocked on our door and ran. There weren't any good channels on TV. Though the rooms were cleaned we found clothes, a liquor bottle, and trash still left in one of our rooms.

    Parking was free (yay) and check-in/out was easy. Room and bathroom were okay - I can tell the upkeep has been so-so as it definitely could’ve been cleaner (some hairs/sand on the floor and bedding, some mold in the shower), but overall it was comfortable. It’s a 7 minute walk to the beach, mini golf is next door, and all down the street are restaurants and everything you could want, so the location of the property for the price per night was the best feature. Didn’t use the pool or gym but they appeared fine and in-order. Breakfast options were mostly carbs/cold items, but again, with so many options nearby it’s not a huge deal. I would stay here again for another short trip; however, I would not recommend the “family restaurant” (Friendly’s) next door to the hotel. I’d go down the street a bit to a better place.

    The room was clean and a nice layout. The staff was nice and helpful. However, the furniture in our room could have used some attention. Our couch & chair had stains on them and the recliner barely opened and closed. The little in room amenities were lacking, with only shampoo and coffee in the room initially. We had to ask for soap and they didn't provide any other toiletries. Those weren't a big deal, but something to note as I'm used to hotel rooms having, bar soap for the sink, body wash for the shower, shampoo, conditioner & lotion. Maybe that has changed in the last few years since I last stayed in a hotel, but they were a surprise to me. We didn't use the breakfast because it was just a continental breakfast. They did have coffee available in the lobby at all times. Overall, I would stay there again.

    My room was just OK. The beds weren't well made. The fridge wasn't turned on so I couldn't save my leftovers. The iron left a huge rust mark on the fabric. Some of the pillows were lumpy. The bathtub fixtures didn't look clean. The bathroom door, as well as many of the doors I saw in the hallways, looked beat up. The other guests next and across from me slammed doors and their kids screamed well into midnight. It's not a place I would stay at again.

    The waffle tasted weird, I had something floating in my apple juice. The store inside didn’t have much of anything. Rooms very much outdated. I paid for a deluxe room and nothing was deluxe about it.

    I booked our room for a one night stay. I saw all the positive reviews and thought this La Quinta would be perfect. Upon entering, there were no luggage carts and the attendant had no idea where one would be. We thought ok, we’ll carry our things up. During the check in we were informed that there would be a $100 refundable fee charged just in case we destroyed our room. Maybe the teeny tiny print said that but we certainly were not aware. Good thing we didn’t wreck our room. Our room was very clean and prepared well with a microwave and refrigerator. When my husband took his shower he noticed that the tub was very slippery and had to be very careful getting out. This being a handicap prepared room we would strongly suggest that anti slip stickers be put on the floor of the tub. After the guests down the hall settled down at 12:30 we were able to sleep. Our breakfast the next morning was the typical complimentary hotel breakfast. The breakfast items were displayed and stocked well. Our checkout was seamless and we were on our way.

    My room or bathroom has not been clean the entire time my family and I was there. I have all ways stay at Laquinta Hotels and this has been the worst. The elevator, carpet, bathroom and the entire place needs to be clean.

    They let me drive 10 hours and didn’t call to let me know they double booked , so we didn’t have a place to stay when we arrived . Then did nothing to help me get my refund but a phone number . No other hotels had any vacancy even the ones 30 mins away . Had to sleep in the car .

    Room was dusty all around. Staff told me I couldn't use my firestick but then the last day maintenance guy told me I could and he hooked it up for me. Breakfast was boiled eggs all 3 days no other egg choices, no sugar free syrup out you had to ask for it. Wasn't impressed this time around. The staff was nice though

    Staff was great but we wouldn't stay at this hotel again. The photos are misleading for the rooms and condition of the hotel. We had multiple rooms and some didn’t have a hair dyer inside, they don’t provide shampoo or conditioner only body gel. One rooms tv didn’t work and they don’t have anyone for house keeping. If you need anything you have to go to the front desk and ask for it, they won’t bring it to you. Distance to the beach is nice.

    It was a nice hotel. Not 5 star, but definitely nice. The lady at the front desk in the evening was very nice. They have free coffee 24 hours a day. A nice little selection of free food for breakfast. The elevator was a little noisy, but it works good. Our room was nice & clean. We will be staying here again in September. It's right beside Friendly's Restaurant. So food very close.

    We stayed here for a few days with our family and in this time my husbands wedding ring, credit cards and other personal belongings were stolen. Someone was in our room when we put the do not disturb at the door while we were gone so no one ever had a reason to be in our room. Extremely scary. My husband had to dispute payments on his cards and both his cards. I will be sure to never stay a Quinta again. Make sure when u stay at hotels u take extra precautions because I know I will.

    The staff are fantastic and welcoming. I can't say the same for the room. We had a pet, so we were on the bottom floor. Our room smelled like a wet dog. The pillows were so disgusting and filthy. And the sheets were pilled all over top and bottom. The floors looked like they're never cleaned. Dust bunnies everywhere. We could hear everything they were saying in the next room. Overall it was a place to crash, but not very comfortable. Again, front desk and maintenance were so wonderful. Best part of the stay.

    The sheets had stains on them. They only gave us 1 key. The bathtub drain didn't drain, so we were standing in water when we showered. There was a lady that was there that had her things in the hall the entire time and it STUNK. I have never had it this bad before.

    The room was adequately clean but not at all what we had booked. We reserved a suite and ended up having to stay in a regular room because they could not provide us with what we signed up for. The young man at the desk at 3:30 when we arrived was not particularly friendly or helpful. I would not recommend staying there. However, the young lady that checked us out was extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Her name is Rushalee Morton.

    I wanted to get a good night sleep instead of drive at 3am. but because someone was constantly smoking and it was coming in my room and their tv was so loud, I was awake till after midnight then woke at 4:15 with the noise of the tv next door…. This is truly the worse experience I’ve ever had at any hotel and I am 63. Matt at front desk was great at check in and I was actually excited to have got away since all I do is work! The smoke smell was so strong that when I got off I went straight to my doctor because it caused my asthma to flare up. TVs should not be allowed to run all night or you need better ways to muffle between rooms. This stay was unacceptable and I would have got better sleep at home and driving over at 3am.

    There was a Samsung Tv with DishTv remote which did not power the tv on. Called the front desk for a remote. They asked when I was due to checkout. I guess since I told him the next day he didn’t care if I was able to use the tv or not. He said he would call back about another remote. He never did. Breakfast was ok. The room was clean, the bed was comfy. Parking was good. Would have liked to be able to watch tv for a little bit

    No housekeeping service. Had to leave the trash and dirty towels out in the hallway. Shower took a few minutes to get warm not hot just warm and when it finally got hot it was difficult to adjust the temp down. Shower valve probably needs replacing. Shower needs updating. Staff was very pleasant. Breakfast was very minimal, no meat or sausage or bacon. Hard boiled eggs or cereal or waffles and bagels, not much. If your expectation is not much this is the place for you.

    One of our rooms had an odd odor, thankfully we happened to have some Febreze. They offer a small shampoo and soap, but not the dispensers we've grown used to from hotels with shampoo, body wash and conditioner. Please note that hotel is pet friendly, I had not noted that and when walking down hallway, heard a dog barking. Lucky for us we weren't close to that room and didn’t hear the dog. But if you have dogs or cats, then this is a great hotel for you and them. The breakfast was average, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, waffles, cereal, cream of wheat/grits, bagels and toast. The coffee was yummy, love Royal cup.

    Hear me when I say this. My stay was 12/27/25-12/29/25 I was infected by BED BUGS at this hotel. I’ve called to speak to the GM. She won’t take or return my call. I did not see one housekeeper or cart on my floor or anywhere else. The room would’ve been passable if it weren’t for the bed bugs. They have a lot of 5 star reviews. Done read those read the bad ones. I found two that mentioned BB (after the fact). Stay there if you want to.

    Overall, everything was good. Breakfast is not the best, especially for adults. The pillowtop. mattress was comfortable, but the pillows are flat. The bathroom was very nice, but the soap holder needs attention. There's a smart TV in the room, but the only two apps are YouTube and Netflix. It shows Chromecast, but it doesn't work. There aren't a lot of good channels on the regular cable, but if you're not there to watch TV, then it won't be a big deal. For the price and location, it's worth the stay.

    It was only a five minute walk to the beach and close to any restaurant or shopping you want to go to. The place was clean and quiet. Good place for a great price

    The lady who checked us in was very kind and a pleasure to talk to. Our room was clean and odorless. The limited Dish channels on the TV was a bit of a bummer when he relaxed after a full day of activities, but we didn't select this hotel for the TV service. Wireless service was easy to log into and was speedy enough.

    The staff was friendly, but a little confusing/confused on their pet policy and fees. What should have been $25 we were charged $125 for, and that doesn’t count the fact that we were double charged the $100 deposit. Our credit card was hit for over $300 for fees and deposits and it was a waiting game to see if it would actually be refunded. I don’t mind at all paying a deposit and waiting for it to be released, but we were charged more than 10x the amount the final charges should have been and they were finalized and then refunded. I’ve never had a hotel handle it that way but more importantly they kept saying that on their end it didn’t show what I was clearly seeing on my bank account. I needed a pet friendly hotel and it served the purpose, but I’m not sure I’d stay again.

    Toiletries were missing- there was only 1 bar at the sink. 1 for the shower was missing. Breakfast - Acouple of guests were disappointed at the options. For us it was fine. Hotel is at nice location and staff is polite.

    We spent 4 nights and enjoyed a room, innovated bathroom. Breakfast was good, i will say more than traditional continental, yougurt, sausage , egss.but this hotel pets friendly and 1 and 2 floors may be with dog's . 5 min walk to the beach.

    Our room was at the far end of the building, and only the front elevator was operational—the one near our room was out of order, forcing a long trek despite a much closer entrance. Trash littered the hallways throughout our three-day stay and was never cleaned. The room looked clean but had dust in vents and on tables. The TV's WiFi didn't work. Though promised a fix and offered another room (which we should have accepted), it remained broken our entire stay—possibly a cost-cutting measure. The toilet handle was also broken, requiring my husband to remove the lid and manually reset it after each flush. Staff "fixed" it by rigging it to barely function, but it remained broken. The issues were so problematic that we checked out a day early. I won't return to this hotel.

    Already spoke with the manager (who was kind) but it was an ordeal trying to get ahold of her. Multiple issues but having our room partially cleaned twice in 12 days was unacceptable, despite multiple requests. The gym was closed for our entire stay. The pool had been closed early for the season. The breakfast fruit was rotten. As mentioned above, the manager has been contacted and she was at least pleasant to speak to.

    The staff was very courteous and allowed us to check in early. Part of the reason I booked this hotel was for the amenities such as the pool, and the use of gym and hot tub. We checked in the staff member told us the pool is closed for the season and the gym is under construction. If I would have known this ahead, I would have selected a different hotel.

    I had to cut the AC down to a low temp to keep the room cool. I also had to clean a table due to a coffee stain that was left and had dried. The mattress that I slept on had stains. It did have a mattress cover though. I do not know what your policy is on that. The bathroom was very clean. The shower head had a leak but I notified staff about that as I was leaving.

    Newly renovated send this on the beach it’s a good mile from the beach. I guess 3/4 of a mile walk-through hotels.com. They still ask for my credit card for incidentals and held that hundred dollars over a Week I found the staff a little snooty

    The location was ok as it was not among the high rise district so it was more mellow. But there were many issues. The work-out room was inoperable, the TV had no service, front desk clerk said no maintenance person could chk it til morning, no coffee cups in room, shady people on parking lot, no fan in bathroom so moisture everywhere.

    The room felt like it was next to a dog kennel with very loud barking, room was switched but to the same king size bed also in the vicinity of smaller barking dogs asked for a room with a king size bed, which wasn’t available that day another attempt made and was fulfilled to a king size bed the bathroom light fixture was making an annoying ticking sound, the shower was leaking a lot of water and there was dry dog food kernels on the room floor, which made my stay absolutely horrible and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at this time.

    Our room didn’t have blankets, only two sheets covering the bed. There were people yelling very loudly in the room next to is at 1:45 every night we were there for at least 40 minutes. We did not get very much rest during our stay.
