    The hotel property was clean and well decorated. The welcoming desk clerk was great, friendly and customer oriented. He was there for the whole short visit. The room was clean and roomy. The breakfast was great, lots of options both cold and hot. The breakfast staff (young man) was very nice and friendly, he kept the food in good supply. The breakfast area was large and spacious, very clean and modern. Lots of parking. Check in and out was smooth. I would recommend this hotel.

    The room was ok, could use a little better cleaning but nothing to fuss about. Pool is lovely and warm for the kids. Breakfast was ok, very limited choices, but good. Parking is excellent. Close to alot of great things to do with kids. They need a better and cleaner bathroom in the pool area.

The beds were broken and falling off its foundation and the room door didnt close. I requested service after entering the room, maintenance fixed the bed and serviced the door. We went and bought air fresheners and dehumidifiers that couldn’t come close to changing the Oder. The room was so moist, everything was damp and sticky. We checked out a day early because my husband’s allergies were on overload.

    Specifically requested the room with the jetted tub to rest after the long drive. As soon as we got in the room, I started the tub and the jets did not work. Front desk basically just told u "sorry." The next morning, I opened the blackout shade to let the morning sun in and the shade completely fell from the roller. It had been broken previously due and was attempted to fix with duct tape (have pictures.) We called the front desk and they said someone would be by around noon-1 to fix it. We left the room to give them time and space to fix the shade. We got back around 2:30, and the shade was still in the floor where we left it. No one ever came by before we checked out to fix it. We had to use a blanket to block light from the parking lot at night.

    We had an overall good stay at the Hampton. Parking was easy, check-in was a breeze, and the staff was very friendly! However, the first room smelled horrible and had mold in it. The staff quickly switched our rooms and upgraded us to a deluxe suite, free of charge. That room was very clean and smelled great. The elevators and overall property appear to be older but have been renovated to some extent. The breakfast was above average and the complimentary coffee was a nice touch. Thank you.

The hotel has a good parking area, is clean, and has a mid-range level with good rooms. We selected a suite, but we didn’t know that it's located near the emergency stairs. Something happened: at 6 a.m. on Saturday, someone opened our room door. I woke up startled and asked loudly, "Who's there?" Since I couldn't see the door from my bed for being in a suite room, the person left and ran down the stairs. We could hear the noise. Very frightened, I called the front desk, but the attendant didn't believe me. I decided to go down and speak to her in person, but she didn't resolve the situation and asked me to wait for the manager, who wouldn't be on duty until 9:30 a.m. My wife and I packed our bags and left the room to wait in the breakfast area. Later, the manager moved us to another room and apologized for the incident. We stayed another night and then left. I wonder how someone opened our bedroom door, since it has a key card mechanism? I just received my bill by email, and they charged me the full amount without commenting on the situation. This experience was traumatic.

    We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, especially its location away from the downtown Myrtle Beach crowds but still an easy, pleasant walk of just a few blocks to the beach.     Our stay was great. The room was clean and smoke free. I was traveling with my daughter for a dance competition and not once did we feel unsafe. There was some loud music from a nearby restaurant when we pulled in. That didn’t affect our stay though, we were curious what it was. We enjoyed our stay and found our hotel for next year’s competition.

    The room had an old fashioned air conditioner that used water. It made the room smell dank and musty. Since all the rooms had the same A/C, it was pointless to change rooms. The A/C was also incredibly noisy and I could not sleep without earplugs. I paid a fortune for the room and it felt like a cheap motel. I would never stay here again for that reason.

    The rooms did not smell well. The air conditioner was loud and always sounded like water was cycling though and might leak. (No water leaked). I had a handicapped accessible room. Behind the shower seat was hair stuck on the wall that would not rinse away with water. It looked like someone shaved and left the hair on the wall. The breakfast room seemed to run out of food items by 0900 and items were not replenished.

    We stayed for 4 days. When we first got there Kim was very rude and not personable at all but thank god for Tiffany and the older woman work works the night shift because they were amazing! Tiffany showed amazing customer service and was so sweet, I would come back just for her! Also the house keeping manager ( African American with long locks & older ) was very helpful and nice as well! We enjoyed our vacation here for sure !!!

    Bad smells as soon as you come off the elevator, musty atmosphere, water stains everywhere on the ceilings (in the rooms, the hallways, etc.), noisy and scary elevators, and filthy floors in the rooms (couldn't take off my slippers for a moment). The staff were very friendly and the area around the hotel had a lot of choices/convinces being it's right off of Business 17. Not a hotel I would book again, unfortunately .

    Check in 4:00 arrived 3:15 clerk advised can not check in till exactly 4:00 left came back same clerk advised exactly 4:00 again! Lady same problem was furious clerk was just smiling and grinning at her! At 4:15 room finally ready clerk handed me keys without saying a word no thank you! Sorry for delay absolutely nothing! We were late where we were going had no time to spare! Poor management for expensive cost! Never again Hampton Inn!😡

    When we went to check in, we were then notified that there was a problem with our room & they had to switch our suite to 2 rooms that connected via door. I feel like that is something they should contact you for and let you know beforehand. A suite and two normal rooms are two completely different things. Was not happy about that. The floors looked clean, but they were apparently filthy because once we took our shoes off we noticed it had a sticky feeling to it and our 2 year old twins feet got black very quickly (once we noticed the floors were sticky we went to wash their feet & put socks on them & that's when we noticed they were completely black.) Tv stand was an eye sore, half the decorative trim on the front was ripped off. One of the bed farmes was broken, and the bed would lift up off of it if you sat on the edge on one side. One of the tvs was broken & would not turn on. There was construction going on everywhere, inside & outside.. You couldn't use the front entrance because of it. There were wet floors in the lobby area where water was leaking out from the roof. Also, when I made the reservation, I chose *Pay At Check In, but they had already charged my card before we even got there. The good: The staff were all really nice. When we called the front desk & told them the tv wasn't working, someone brought a new one & swapped it out pretty quickly. The room was nice other than the few things I mentioned above. All in all, it was just okay.

I called the hotel directly and they were honest about the renovation process. I appreciated their honesty. Our room was in very good condition and the breakfast room was also in good condition and the breakfast was excellent.

    We stayed 2 nights. The pillows on the bed were horrible. Super thin. Way too small for a king size bed. I woke up with a crick in my neck. Breakfast was not bad the first morning but the second morning it was not great. Over cooked sausage patties and the links didn’t taste like sausage. We went back to our third floor room after breakfast and only one elevator was working. We retrieved our luggage to leave and neither elevator was working. Tried to call the front desk 4 times to see how long before it was fixed but nobody answered. We had to carry heavy luggage down three flights of stairs and we are not young people. Checking out I told the desk clerk I had tried to call but couldn’t get an answer. She didn’t even acknowledge that I was speaking to her. Just handed me the receipt and said nothing. Very rude. I would not stay there again.

    Staff was excellent; but was under rehab - which was much needed. The 2nd floor was under reconstruction. But all the other floors were also in serious need for reconstruct. The carpeting in the hall was dirty and stained. The elevator wall had a fairly large segment missing. The hot tub was roped off so it could not be used. If they had let it be known that the hotel was being upgraded I would have not reserved.
