close to Castro street where there are lots of different restaurants, cafes to choose from. The diversity of food choices was amazing on Castro st. There is also a Mexican grocery market close by to grab fruits, vegetables and small patio for dining . Quiet area . Breakfast offered a variety daily - we were there for 4 days and each day was different -scrambled eggs and bacon, western omelette and ham, cheese omelette and sausage slices with gravy and biscuit , sausage patty and scrambled eggs. Waffles, bagels, hard boiled egg, cereal, hot oats, bananas,apple, juice, milk. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate available all day No pool and hot tub permanently closed.

Just a bunch of great people!!

However, a recent Corporate makeover of the rooms left me unable to work at the desk in the room. A 'new and improved' desk lamp is only about 10" tall and the light just shines down on the base,. You simply can not read any documents, etc.! I complained to the front deck and they put a big pole lamp at the end of the desk. Much better, I also received a nice note about my inconvenience. I hope that enough people complain and get the desk lamps replaced with something like the old ones! Other than this, we enjoyed our stay.

Everything was great and my daughter and I had a great stay. My only complaint is that it can be a bit noisy at night while you are trying to sleep as the hallways echo and you can hear people moving upstairs. Overall though, great experience.

I accidentally left my ring behind after checkout, and housekeeping found it. The staff was so kind to call me so I could get it back. The customer service was excellent, and Johnny was especially kind. He even offered us coffee and cookies for the trip home.

Hampton Inn is my choice of hotels and it never fails me in providing convenience, comfort and good breakfast. This Mountain View location is extra nice.

One of the highlights was the continental breakfast—they offered a great variety of items, so there was something for everyone to enjoy each morning. It was a convenient and enjoyable way to start the day. The hotel is affordable, especially considering the quality of the accommodations and amenities. It’s located in a safe neighborhood and is within walking distance of downtown Mountain View, making it easy to explore local shops, restaurants, and attractions. They have free parking as well. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely stay here again.

It is very quiet for sleeping and the beds are comfortable. You can walk to Castro, street in 10 min. to enjoy dinner outside and many coffee shops! The free parking is safe too.

Clean room, however the tilting of everything in the bathroom was quite annoying. Unable to set anything down without it sliding onto the floor!

The staff was nice and the hotel room was standard Hampton quality. Location is great - a two block walk to downtown Mountain View with lots of restaurants. The cons are that the central location means you can hear the train which runs until late at night. The fire slammer went off at 12:37 AM each of the three nights we were there, with no explanation or apology . The breakfast was more limited than typical for a Hampton, and some items being removed an hour before the end of breakfast time.

Unknown reason the fire alarm went off in middle of bight both nights which is not pleasant nor restful to have a loud jolt to wake you up and then once off hard to go back to bed.

We enjoyed our visit here. The person that checked us in was a very pleasant gentleman. The lobby has an assortment of coffee readily available. The breakfast had hot food offerings as well as delicious scones, muffins, cereal, etc. The microwave and fridge in the rooms were very useful. The pillows could be better, but the mattress was fine. We have back problems, but had a good night's sleep. It's not a fancy hotel, but it is clean and offers everything you can appreciate on a trip away from home. We would definitely stay here again.

It’s a great location, walking distance down Castro Street and a couple of blocks from the train station. A good varied breakfast.

The room and property were clean and comfortable, as usual. Shortly after we checked out, I received an email that I had left my kindle in the room. I would have not known that until 8 hours and 350 miles later. I would have liked a place to charge my phone next to the bed on both sides.

The hotel was good and breakfast one of the cleanest freshest self serve breakfast I have had in a while. The iPhone door key was a little unreliable and I had to get a keycard late on Saturday. The hotel rooms are very fresh and clean. I never did find the exercise room Overall a much better than average stay Make the iPhone key a little reliable Information on the exercise room

Clean room, Nice girl at front desk. They even gave us super early check in without any extra fee. My only negative is not enough pillow. Went to front desk to ask for more they were a bit busy and said they’d bring it to the room. But she only brought one pillow. Needed minimum two cuz hotel pillows are super flimsy. Yall know.

We were placed into a room with a window blocked by a wall! Beware, so avoid in the busy time I guess. No frills. But the place is located in a nice area, so it is good.

The breakfast was good. The rooms were spacious and clean. Location was close enough to downtown you could walk.

Location was good for our purposes. Breakfast was good. Front desk girl on check in was reluctant to let us check-in 45 min earlier than the 3 pm check in despite the property being totally empty. We were told to wait. 10 min later, we were given a room but it was the absolutely worse room in the building. I think that was our "retribution" for requesting an early check in. The room, although newly refurbished and pretty, was directly beneath the air handlers on the roof. Every 20-30 min, a loud mechanical thud followed by rumbling and a vibration through the entire room would rouse you from sleep or whatever you were doing. We had no sleep that night. The next day we requested a room change. Unless your guest is comatose, no one should be placed in room 347! Never. Close it up and use it for storage! I think the front desk girl did this intentionally. Inexcusable.

Everything was good except people next room had a dog that started whining around 6 ish and was scratching at the door to get out so the door was banging. I did let the front desk know. It didn't happen the next night. Hotel is very nice clean glad we got a good rate and got to go back there again.

Uber to the concert was easy, however couldn’t get a ride back so we walked. The walk back was safe and took about 45 minutes because there was a lot of foot traffic to the freeway. Absolutely would stay again!!

Wanted room with 2 Queens, but it wasn't ready, even after waiting awhile in the lobby.

I was concerned when I saw that the hotel was pet friendly so I requested a pet hair and dander-free room. That was fine but I woke with multiple flea bites! I would normally not complain, but the bites are pretty bad. The breakfast had the nice added touch of freshly make it yourself waffles but the woman operating the dining area was exceptionally inhospitable.

Location Girl checking us in was like she was asleep ? at all times!! not one bit welcoming. You would come in at night like 8pm/9pm she be sitting on the chairs in the rest areas on her laptop. Huffing and puffing anytime u ask her to get up an do her job was embarrassing actually. Even my son comment on her demeanor. Saw her be rude to another lady that was in front to. Even checking in, says smile behind the counter.. I had to laugh as she had big sour puss the whole time never once ask us we having a nice time or things to see. Zero nothing!

The hotel is located near a main road so you can hear traffic during the night, nothing a pair of ear plugs won't fix. Also, there are no USB plug points for charging in our room. So bring your electronics plug along with your cable.

I like the location. I didn’t like the room we had. The toilet was broke and loud, and the refrigerator was loud and a humming noise all night.

Very clean and well located. We stayed two nights for a family trip. The sofa bed has seen better days and my husband complained of back pain. Breakfast was exceptional with different options each day.

Surprisingly quite enjoyable

Since the property was close to freeway it was easy to get there. The front desk manager was professional and check-in was quick. Our room was spacious, comfortable and good amenities. Comfortable bed. The only problem was that our room was facing the exterior wall of the hotel's extension. While we had natural light it was kind of filtered. The staff was quick to respond to questions about the air-conditions control panel. My suggestion would be to put some kind of instructions on the window wall unit not to make any adjustments on it but to use the digital unit on the wall across the room. Otherwise our stay was very good.

The television control was hard to figure out. I waited for maintenance in the morning to fix.

I don’t think the room was cleaned since we found an eyelash strip on the floor and a fruit snack. We would have called the front desk but we were too exhausted to move rooms and we had to be up early the next day. From the outside, hotel looked nice but rooms weren’t clean.

The lone caveat was the city street planning, which required some extra driving for a downtown less than a 1/4 mile away. This is in no way Hampton Inn's fault, just the traffic routing was odd. Otherwise, the property was clean, quiet & accessible.

The quality of the rooms was very good, and the facility was surprisingly quiet. Hallway carpets seemed to absorb all sound, and the facilities were obvously well constructed. Coffee was good, parking was excellent, and overall it was well worth the very reasonable rate.

This property is located a short walk from the eateries along Castro Street. The complimentary breakfast was great, and they had complimentary coffee/hot water available in the lobby 24/7.

Only "down side" is the walls are thin. You can hear EVERYTHING around you. The staff was very friendly. Overall good stay.

Hospitality the moment we walked in got us, Johnny was so humble and welcoming, and he treated us with the highest respect he even called us up ten minutes we got to our room to make sure everything was okay>

Our room was cleaned at least twice during our stay. Freeways (US-101 and CA-85) are accessible from Moffett Blvd. Due to one-way restrictions on Castro St., there was not a lot of traffic on Moffett Blvd which is always nice. Caltrain station is two blocks away. Google campus is within 5 minutes drive. Overall, we are very pleased with our stay at this place.

Good deal for the price and good location.

This was a great location for Levi’s stadium. Train drops you off right at the stadium. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of choices. Hot tub was great!! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

This hotel was clean and the price was amazing and it had free parking and breakfast that's good. The room was clean and nice. Overall I loved this hotel.

I was attending a child’s party 15 minutes away considering it’s late start and the fact I had my whole family with me my lady/mother-n law and 2 kids we needed space and comfort this facility was quiet and well kept we shall be back,thank you!!

Good basic place to stay with decent breakfast included. The price per night is pretty high given what the property offers (Ameswell is only slightly more expensive and a way nicer hotel). Also, anyone who talks at a normal level in the hall or adjacent rooms is easily heard and I was woken up at 5 am one morning due to people talking in the hall. They were not talking laud! The hotel needs to get better noice insulation.

The trip was for medical reasons. The room was nice but the walls are paper thin and we could hear the neighbors walking, talking and other! Not relaxing

I liked my stay here it was short and sweet the only thing I would complain of is my window had a view of a brick wall and nothing else. Overall clean and quiet. Conveniently located less than half a mile from many restaurants.

Nice comfortable room.

An excellent light-and-bright property with a staff to match. A well laid out property with a solid and veried breakfast and an attentive staff that welcomes me with a smile any time I come through the lobby. A location with a neighborhood feel and just 2 blocks from a commuter train station and downtown Mountain View with its pedestrian street and variety of restaurants and live music. I will be returning to Palo Alto/Mountain View every week or two this fall/winter. If this hotel has availability, I will be staying here.

When getting to the property, you have a farther drive once you get off the highway especially at night. The property was affordable since my husband and I are on a budget. The rooms were wonderful and slept amazing.

Everything was great. The food was good. Very clean. Bed was hard.

Amazing service, we asked for check out late, we got it till 1 pm without addiction fee. But we ended up left on time. Definitely we’ll come back.

Good quick stay at the hotel on a business trip. Large room on the ground floor. All the basics are covered - clean and comfortable. I felt that the hotel is over priced, but so are most in the valley.

Was told by receptionist that water is not complementary so we bought 6 bottles of water charged to the room. We had to extend our stay one day and the new receptionist gave us two complementary water. I was charged $56 for 6 bottles of water, high way robbery. Do not recommend this place.

Clean, fresh (no dingy grout), appreciated pillow choice/quality, had expected bath and room amenities, appreciated free breakfast and good coffee (enjoyed oatmeal with raisins -- many other options), parking below grade of facility, room was basic but very nice and good size, nice staff, free wifi, new favorite in the area as good value and quality

We were kept up until 4am due to unruly guests. I informed the person working the front desk that there were some guests hanging out in the hall and their room, speaking loudly and at times yelling. The employee tried to help but there was a significant language barrier as their English was very limited - this is the main complaint. Your US-based employees should be able to speak fluent English.
