    When we arrived our room I guess was double booked, even though we’ve had our room booked for months. We didn’t get the room we booked so space was tight and the key card maker was broken so we didn’t have room keys for our stay. I’m curious to see what kind of ‘reduced rate’ they provide when they put money back in the bank.

    The first issue was the check-in process. There was a significant delay because staff appeared unfamiliar with the updated computer system. We were told the system changes had occurred the previous week, yet signs regarding the updates were still posted throughout the hotel. Unfortunately, it seemed many employees had not yet been adequately trained, resulting in long waits and frustration for guests. The front desk also appeared understaffed, making matters worse. During our stay, room service and housekeeping were nearly nonexistent. Despite multiple requests, our room was never cleaned. Garbage was not removed, clean towels were not provided, and basic housekeeping services were unavailable. While I understand staffing challenges can occur, communication and follow-through were lacking. The room itself was acceptable, but attention to detail was missing. The shower contained two shampoo dispensers and one conditioner dispenser, but no body wash, which was an inconvenient oversight. Overall, the hotel was okay, but the service fell far below expectations. For a Marriott property, I expected a much higher level of customer service, housekeeping, and operational efficiency. I hope management addresses these issues, as they significantly impacted what should have been a comfortable stay.

    Don't stay here, we had issues with Wifi in the room the entire time, were told every day and night that it would be fixed soon, it never was. They could have moved us to a room with better Wifi but did not give us that option. Also there seemed to be zero communication of the issue from shift to shift, so every time we brought up the issue it was a surprise to the next person and we had to start the process over again. Manager also never responded to us to make it right. Very unfortunate so I would not recommend staying here.

    WiFi in the room wasn’t working and talking to the front desk the answer I received was that some rooms have this issue and it’s been this way for a while. There was no aim to resolve this issue. When I pressed again I was told I had to call their IT support and see if I could fix it!!! Extremely poor customer service. Stayed 2 nights without any WiFi. Will probably not stay there again.

    We loved the location and the breakfast selection was always wonderful and tasty. We were so thankful that they accommodated our request for a room next to the stairwell as we were bringing our dogs and would need to take them out often. We were very happy about that! Our bathroom sink was slowly draining all week. We weren’t too bothered by it but it definitely needed to be unclogged so we told the staff before we left so they could haw it fixed before other guests came. We also wished that the front office lady during our check in would have told us about the keycard usage for the elevators. We didn’t have to do that last year and with it being a new system we just thought they were broken at first. That should have been said at check in.

    Great stay and great location. You are less than 10 mins from a lot of the attraction in Charleston. Our family loved it and loved the cleanliness and the spacious of the room. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Charleston.

    The people at the reception were nice, the breakfast was more or less decent, the location was good. There is a huge parking lot which is great. The rooms are also large. the beds were terribly hard, the pillows were not comfortable, there were hairs in the bed and on the towels from other people, we found a few seeds on the ground, the hairdryer was terribly dirty, I cleaned it before using it.

Maya, the wonderful woman that checked us in was extremely professional and sweet at the same time. She deserves a raise as she is fantastic. The room was just right; clean, roomy, and the bed was super comfy. Location in the Mount Pleasant area of Charleston was a plus too. We really can't think of any negatives.

    The layout of the room is small and difficult to manage with two guests. We stay at Marriott hotels a lot and they have always been able to find our Bonvoy number. Not so at this Spring Hill hotel. We will not stay at a Spring Hill hotel again.

    Reasonably price property near Charleston proper Room was pretty soundproof. Beds, as well as pillows were comfortable. Being able to park in a structure and go directly to your floor from the elevator was a great convenience. Appreciated printed map and tour book of the area. many restaurants and shops nearby. Free parking on property. Property and rooms are starting to feel a little tired. The sliding glass door to the bathroom is opaque, so if you turn on the light to use it during the night, you risk waking another person.

    Breakfast staff, shower, living room I paid for a room and it was booked in November accidentally…when I brought this to attention of front desk, they asked me to make a second reservation and they would refund the original reservation. I needed another night and called the department to move the reservation to 9/10/25-9/11/25. Only half of the process was done. The department showed me as active check in, but front desk showed capacity and no availability. As the email was not forwarded to front desk (part 2) I was told to leave the property, even though room 616 or 615 (unclear of room # now) was held as mine. I spent the night in my Jeep, even though my room had been paid. Now my Mom is awaiting a refund and I will never use Marriott again if can be helped. I have asked for help during that time to change an old email associated with my Marriott Rewards account and have never received a call or email of assistance back. No longer pleased nor do I feel valued by Marriott: and do not reward bad business behavior with my good business.

    Great stay, super clean hotel. Breakfast was your typically continental spread. Very, very good and well stocked and clean. Plenty of options. Our only issue during our stay was the dampness in the room. It was weird, no smell and we could not correct it with the air conditioner.

    Short trip to have medical procedure in Mt. Pleasant, and our stay was great. Property was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was yummy. Beds slept comfortably, room was a very nice size. We had a few rambunctious teens the second day and night but nothing too terrible. Definitely recommend.

    When I checked in, I informed him that we were using the trundle bed and he said that he would have some make it up for us. We made it to the room and got settled and no one brought the bedding. I called down and asked for it again and was told they'd be right up. Waited another 20 mins and still no bedding, so just went down and got it myself. Springhill Suites are normally better than this, but this one is definitely subpar in the customer service aspect.

    Our visit to Charleston overlapped with SEWE (a big event that draws lots of people to Charleston.) This made our hotel search a little tougher. Thankfully, we knew Mt. Pleasant would have us just a short Uber ride from everything we wanted to do. This Springhill Suites location is so close to the bridge, it is really a convenient location for anyone looking to not break the bank. Mt. Pleasant has great restaurants too so it was nice to escape the busy crowds and have dinner on the other side of the bridge. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was setup nicely each morning and the hotel is very clean and well maintained.

    Water near the toilet (leaking) and I stepped on it. Coffee pot didn’t work. Mirrors look awful. Housekeeping came in at 9 am when checkout time was 11 am. Front desk staff was not friendly and acted bored and inconvenienced when we checked in. Can’t see tv from the bed. Bed was comfortable.

    We stayed in the same chain in Denver before heading to Charleston and the two hotels couldnt have been any different. The Mt Pleasant location had stains in the carpet in the room, hallways, mud in the elevators that were there all three days. Had to wake up the front desk clerk to but a drink from the market and check out. And the smell in the room was awful, I think it was some sort of cleaner but smelled every day we were there. Wouldn't stay at this location again. Only positive was free parking.

    Pros: great breakfast, great staff even though their were computer issues because of the tropical storm. Cons: Only 1 working elevator, this was a pain. 1 one washer & dryer. The dryer must be packed with lint inside somewhere… it took us 2 times to try & dry 1 load. The bathroom in our room (#513) had some blood on the wall which I thought the cleaning staff should’ve seen when cleaning because I couldn’t unsee it. There needs to be a plug under the mirror outside the bathroom so multiple ppl can get ready at one time. All in all, I will stay here again. My overall review is 8/10. I like the overall layout of the room, staff was great!! Food was good & they had a wine opener I could borrow!

    The location is great. Check in super easy. Everything was clean, (which has been very hit or miss since Covid w/hotels using it as an excuse to cut back on everything except the prices). Here, that didn’t seem to be an issue in the rooms. The water pressure was the absolute best for the shower and the sink. That had been an issue in every hotel our entire trip but no issue with this place. We’ve stayed in this area plenty of times b/c it’s super convenient to Mount Pleasant to downtown and to the highways, but yet, it’s also kind of tucked away so it’s not directly under the bridges for the noise and everything. We will stay again.

    I found the room to be clean and comfortable. The only thing I did not like was the positioning of the bathroom in the room, it was front and center, no privacy. the closet was a huge walk-in style! The breakfast (free) exceeded my expectations, and had options I never would have expected. The pool was a bit small, but did the job. Plenty of free parking. The location was convenient to several area attractions (beaches, Charleston, restaurants, etc). I would absolutely stay here again! The staff was kind and pleasant, they were refilling the buffet constantly.

    The hotel itself was wonderful! It was clean, comfortable, and the breakfast was phenomenal. My issue came in with one of the front desk staff, Michael. Now let me preface this by saying the other staff (including Jayla at the front desk and one other absolutely wonderful lady at the desk) were wonderful. Everyone else was so kind. We experienced a family emergency that made us have to leave a day early. We reached out to the front desk the night before checking out to let them know and asked if a refund was possible and was told yes with directions by a kind woman at the front desk. The morning of checking out, my husband went down to the front desk to let them know and double check again. This time, Michael was at the front desk and told my husband no, no exceptions. He said we could leave whenever we want, but you’re not getting your money back in a rude tone. My husband asked for his name and he just pointed to his name tag - my husband told him he didn’t have his glasses on so he couldn’t see it. Overall just poor customer service. I understand if they have their rules, but the way it was handled was outright terrible. I will say, Jayla needs a huge shoutout. When we went to officially checkout shortly after, Jayla was there and we explained what happened. She gave us her personal email and assured us it would all be taken care of, and profusely apologized for Michael’s behavior. She absolutely went above and beyond to right his rude behavior.
