Hotel Indigo Mount Pleasant by IHG

The breakfast at the restaurant was so good! You wouldn’t even know it was hotel food! The staff was so attentive & helpful no matter the time of day or night. They were tidying up the pool area first thing in the morning, we got help with our bags, the complimentary still AND SPARKLING water was my favorite part honestly. 😂 We got our ENTIRE AC unit replaced without having to prove it wasn’t cooling down in our room. Great value & service for what we paid.

It was a great place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and if you needed anything the staff would help you.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Indigo. The heated outdoor pool was great, we mostly enjoyed it in the evening. Everyone was kind and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

Staff were always nice. Pool area was great with plenty of space including loungers in the pool. Food was delicious. Highly recommend the peach salad and smashburger. We enjoyed being so close to so many restaurants in the Mount Pleasant area and the beach. We will be staying here again.

Hotel is recommended for its amenities and location. It is located in between downtown Charleston and Mt. Pleasant restaurants and shopping.

Breakfast was good. The staff 'tried hard'. Did not always succeed, but the effort was there. A very good location. Not too far away from historic areas. The walls separating the rooms were way too thin. I did not realize that I would have to contend with barking dogs, and some sniping at my as I exited the elevator.

Room needed a deep clean. I notified staff asap and they said they’d take care of it the next day (we stayed five nights). Nothing was done. Slimy bathtub floor, hair in shower when we got there, nasty caulk. We paid nearly $300/night. Felt like a hotel that was run down and they put some lipstick on it. Wouldn’t go back for the price we paid.

We have stayed here several times on our trips to Charleston. It is closer to the beach and the Shem Creek hot spots, and it is significantly less pricey than the hotels in the historic district where we used to always stay. But the selling point for me is the pool area and indoor/outdoor bar and restaurant, which is more resort-like than the rest of the hotel. Big props, too, for having free sparkling water in the lobby!

This was our first stay at a Hotel Indigo and we were very pleased. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was comfy and very clean. Breakfast at the pool was a surprising treat! We would definitely stay there again.

I appreciated entering into a clean room that was nice and cool. Their pool is simply wonderful! I really enjoyed the well-maintained property and receiving a text every morning with the activities they would have going on during the day. I cannot state enough how wonderful the pool is and it’s also pet friendly! That was huge for me. We will definitely be staying there in the future. It’s nice also having a restaurant actually two on site one for breakfast and one for dinner. Also, they have a little 24 hour snack station. Also, I love you could have your lunch or dinner or breakfast for that matter at the pool and served to you and that includes strengths. Also having a bar at the pool is wonderful. My family had a great time.

Decent hotel little run down. Coffee was strongest ever! Staff nice enough, AC didn’t remove humidity and water temperatures were all over the place.

The pool area is great as is the bar inside and out! The bartenders were fabulous and the food looked good (we had already eaten). I was not happy with the room, however. The window was so fogged between the panes you could not see out at all, there was no side table or nightstand on the side of the bed, and the bathroom needed a deep cleaning, especially the floor. I was disappointed and very surprised considering what we were paying for the room.

This was our 2nd stay at Hotel Indigo and it did not disappoint! Bedroom and bathroom are spacious, lobby is large, open with lots of seating options, restaurant with delicious food, inside bar, outside bar & lovely pool area with tables & lounge chairs. A very enjoyable, relaxing hotel with courteous staff ready to provide assistance to any guest. Pleasant in every way. I highly recommend this hotel.

Not exactly the arrival experience we expected. We were charged an additional $19 amenity fee at check in that had already been paid through the app and had to go back and forth before it was finally refunded. The first room smelled so bad we couldn’t even stay in it. Staff did switch us quickly, which we appreciated, but the second room still didn’t feel very clean. The bedding and pillows were pretty subpar, and the sheets were rough and itchy enough to make sleeping uncomfortable. Definitely not the level of comfort or cleanliness we were hoping for.

The hotel common areas are first rate. The staff was the best. We enjoyed meals there too. Loved the pool, workout room and trivia night. The rooms are on the smaller side, but suited perfectly for our week. Thank you too the amazing staff there, from chatting poolside to getting me the first cup of coffee, the service is excellent.

Stay away from room 230 if you want to use the WiFi. Had to move to any other room to use it. The night staff were not helpful or friendly even though they know of the problem. The pool is the best thing in the hotel, but it was cold and rainy during our stay.

So i enjoyed the property and my kids had a blast in the heated pool and cabana! The food was delicious and made timely. The hotel room is a lil snug but it was so pretty and danity. I did not like having to pay $3 to dry our swim wear due to the price of the hotel for the weekend, kinda feel drying items should be free. I did have to check my bill because i was charged for breakfast the morning of my check-in and i didnt check in until after 3. They did fix the error but i had to point it out ..but things happen overall i would stay again but i probably wont charge things to my room because they did charge me $10 for not closing out my tab after i was told by staff i could leave without closing my tab bc its charged to the room already anywho i would stay again just now i know what to look out for.

The room was clean, the pool was very nice and the waitstaff were friendly and welcoming. We signed out beach towels for a beach day which was very helpful. My only issue was the noise from the highway and the landscapers who started gas powered blowers at 8:00 AM each day. It was a great location and we would stay there again.

Hotel Indigo was one of the best hotels we have stayed at in a long time. The location was perfect, the pool was amazing, rooms were clean. House cleaning came in daily on our trip to refresh towels and make the beds. Nothing- everything was perfect.

Hotel Indigo had everything we were looking for - comfortable room, great pool, onsite restaurant and bar and wonderful staff. It was great being only a few minutes away from seemingly everything - Patriot’s Point, downtown Charleston, I’on and the Credit One stadium. We’ll definitely be back.

The baseboard was coming off the wall. The Fridge wasn’t working The shower handle is loose. The shower ceiling had peeling paint throughout. The drawers was still have leftover tags from the previous guest For the price, this was far too expensive for the condition of the room. I have stayed in hotels with much better conditions for a much lower cost.

Only negative I can say is I was told we had a room with a pool side view. We were pool side but the view was of a rooftop not a pool. Accommodations were still spectacular. Close to all attractions. Would still recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our stay. It's in a very busy area, but the pool area was serene. The staff was very nice and the room was clean. We could hear guests in other rooms flush the toilet or take a shower, but it wasn't overpowering. We were right beside a busy highway but the windows were insulated enough to where we could barely hear the cars. Overall, very pleasant experience.

The staff at check on was very cordial and service oriented. My room was exquisite. The structure was kind of quirky on its layout, a dated design but the finishes were current and the guest toiletries were of good quality.

The rooms and staff were awesome, I am only giving a 2 star because when we booked with Expedia they did not have any mention of the resort fee and did not tell us about it when we checked in either, so at the end of the staff we had another $100 tacked on that we had to pay. Poor communication. (It also wasn't on our bill break down)

The location was easy to access from the motorway and a quick drive to the historic area. Lots of restaurants in the area and walkable to the bridge close by. Mini fridge and coffee maker in the room were a nice amenity. Beds were comfortable. Nice pantry options in the lobby and complimentary hot water for hot chocolate in the lobby also. Nice decor in the lobby and plenty of parking available in the lot. The window was filthy, so much so that it blocked being able to see outside. The outlets mounted on lamps on the headboard were too loose for a standard plug. There was no hot water for the sink; however, hot water in the shower was fine. The volume on the television was disabled from being able to cut it up above a certain level, which was a very low level. Understandable that they are trying to control the noise level to not disturb guests but it was preset at a very low level that was extremely hard to hear from the bed. Breakfast in the hotel was average at best and very expensive.

Breakfast was very good and their flatbreads were outstanding, beyond what I am used to for a hotel. The heated pool was perfect to enjoy during the cooler winter temps and everything was spotless. I had called the reservation number, however Expedia had a better rate. I was not told about the MUSC patient discount until I checked in. I’m very upset about putting a $100 hold on my debit card. I just returned from a vacation in the Finger Lakes region of NY. Not one single hotel we stayed in put a hold on our card. We have to travel to Charleston often. We won’t be staying at Indigo in the future.

If you are staying in Charleston, you should think of the IHG Mount Pleasant as a convenient option to the $300-$400 per night hotels in the historical district or french quarter. A 10-minute, $10 Lyft/Uber ride away, you can enjoy Charleston for half or even less than half the price. The staff is great (very hospitable) and the food is ok for hotel food. My flight was delayed and I holed up in the resteraunt for a few hours before catching a later flight. The staff took care of me while I worked, sitting me next to a plug to keep my laptop plugged in and my diet coke flowing. they were sweet in how they took care of me. Five Stars!

The room door was not the best and canceling noise I could hear everytime someone got on anf off the elevator and for such a nice room that was unexpected.

We spent only one night at the Hotel Indigo, but the friendly staff and luxurious setting just minutes from the heart of Charleston will have us returning. Our room was clean and spacious. The restaurant and bar were excellent. The multiple pools outside were lovely. Perfect place to stay when visiting this fun city.

We had a very enjoyable stay! The room was comfortable, as well as the bed. We only used the pool the last night of our stay, which was very nice, but not quite warm enough for a chilly night. Overall, a wonderful get-away for a long weekend!

Just love this place

Loved the pool area for the kids and myself!

I think they changed the sheets, but it was hard to tell because they were always wrinkled The staff and the housekeepers were all very friendly and efficient.

We really enjoyed our stay - from start to finish. After a full day of travelling we arrived just before midnight. We received a warm welcome from the man at the front desk - he was Hawaiian - I can’t remember his name. Very helpful and kind - we could have chatting with him all night! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Always greeting us and opening doors. The day we checked out it was raining and we rented a truck so they allowed us to store our belongings while we did a plantation tour. The food at the restaurant was great - my daughter said it was the best burger and fries she ever had. The food was very reasonably priced. I enjoyed the breakfast menu as well. They have a water machine in the lobby with a sparkling water option - our kids loved it. The pool area was awesome and we used the pool everyday - even the day it rained! We would definitely stay here again.

The property was fine in most ways. However, several of our room’s lights and electrical outlets did not work. The Keurig machine also did not work.

Excellent stay. Hotel is very clean. Pool area perfect for lounging and relaxing. Staff was friendly. Rooms are cute and bed very comfortable. Had a great stay.

The bed was horrible. Dont get room 426! The bar was super expensive and had a limited selection of cocktails. The food is not worth the money. The pool and pool yard is excellent!

I loved the pool area and the morning coffee in the lobby starting at 6:30 is great too as is the self-serve 24 hour snacks & drinks. Great guest experience overall! Front desk called our room to let us know the maintance team had to drill for 30 seconds in the room next to ours and apologized for the call and the noise, but I appreciated the notice and I could hardly hear the drill for what was maybe 15 seconds. Comfy bed & pillows. great shower. Property clean & well maintained. Easy access to downtown. Great restaurants close by.

Location is excellent! Hotel is beautiful. Staff was very friendly offering dining suggestions. Pool area is a whole vibe. Nice bar. Nice clean rooms. Easy parking, check in and check out. Will definitely return. Highly reccomend!

Our family enjoyed being able to come back after a day of sight seeing to cool off in the pool.

There was a torrential rain with 8.75 inches of rain falling and a power outage and they would not refund my last night - which we had to leave early due to conditions

The outdoor space was incredible. From cabanas to jenga and cornhole. We loved it!

The rooms were spotless and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. Everything felt fresh and well cared for. We left already talking about how we’ll definitely be staying here again on our next trip. Huge thanks to Rory for such a great experience!

Everytime I come to Charleston I stay at Hotel Indigo in Mt. Pleasant. Staff always great, rooms always clean. Only disappointment was their coffee. Was weak. lol.

Staff is very attentive. Cleaning of room was great. They added a staff person to help with suitcases at the front which was great.

I recently visited Hotel Indigo and was thoroughly impressed from my previous experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with beautiful décor that added to the overall experience.

Great location, execellent service. Elizas, the restaurant on site is fantastic. One particular server Lashonda is a gem! She is attentive, friendly, and efficient. I would most certainly stay again. The hotel staff are efficient, proactive and friendly. Definitely a wonderful place to stay.

Pool was beautiful at night 10/10 recommend

Accidentally left medication in the room. Called and spoke with several people and was supposed to receive a call back. Never bothered returning my call, said it was never left and hung up on me. Will never go back

I love this hotel! The bar/restaurant is super convenient and the food was good. The pool area is a 10/10. Next time I’m in Charleston I will be staying here!

The location of the Hotel is great

Location is perfect. Lots if nice restaurant around. The pool is very nice. Staff are great. Great job to the house keeping team. They always make our room everyday. Giving fresh towels and make our beds every sing day. Making your long hot day nice when coming home yo your room nice and tidy. Lastly, love love that they have water dispenser in the lobby cold or sparkling. Thank you and will surely stay here in the future.

From the moment that we walked in the door until we left, we felt a complete sense of warm welcome. I cannot recommend The Indigo enough. The staff is top tier and over the top friendly! We will be back and will send anyone we can!

Loved the pool, restaurant, and the efficiency of staff. I have stayed at Indigo in New Orleans and have booked Indigo in Orange Beach, Alabama for later this summer. I find it to be very good and reasonably priced.

We had an awesome time at Hotel Indigo. The staff are amazing, the hotel and property are truly like a resort. Eliza’s restaurant is great, not at all like typical hotel food!

Visited for 4 days with my children - loved every part of my stay. Very convenient location in Mt pleasant. Tonya and Zach were standouts at the front desk, and Heather was excellent at the bar. Lovely pool, yummy food (recommend the watermelon salad and the pancakes), clean, kind service. The only way our wonderful stay could’ve been better is if the walls were slightly thicker as we could hear sounds coming from other rooms beside, above, and below us as well as in the hall. Would definitely stay again!

Love staying in Mt Pleasant where the pace is a lot slower and of course you can't beat the Southern hospitality! We were able to check in early and get in the pool before going to our concert that was only 20 minutes away!

Great central location to everything we wanted to do and see in the area. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful, sharing their recommendations for various restaurants, parks, etc. The pool was great and they offered towels to take with for our beach days as well.

until 9:40 pm . TRAVELER BEWARE! I was traveling with co workers and i had to go to a sister property. In 30 years of traveling for work , never experienced this .

I room was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly

I paid for a king and was given a room with two queens. When I mention this to the front desk, they let me know that there was nothing they could do about it. Obviously, that was disappointing as the king room was not only what we wanted, but was about $45 more per night. I was offered IHG points as a resolution to the discrepancy. Overall, the staff were very nice and polite. The property itself was nice in the lobby, but the room was definitely dated and beat up pretty well… With cracked tiles in the shower missing caulk, splotchy paint and a very insecure feeling door handle. I was not recommend this property to anyone looking for a 3 1/2 star or better hotel.

The hotel was beautiful was within 15 minutes or less of everything, the staff was amazing, the food at the restaurant was good, the hotel had a good pool with a walk-up bar, that made it so convenient.

The pool and bar area nice. My very first impress was not good as we pulled up someone is smoking a cigarette right at the front door. This does not look good. People don’t want to be around that. The toilet in our room was so ridiculous. It was so low to the ground I could hardly get up off of it. Bathroom looks very dated. The light switch plates speak the age. People smoking at the pool. Why do you allow smoking ? The pets were too much. Dog jumped on a lady who was dressed up to go out as the dog got on the elevator. Not everyone wants to share a hotel w dogs. Huge Dogs by the pool. Just not my thing. You should be considerate of those who don’t have pets. Have a different wing or something. I thought this hotel was going to be a 5 star but I only give it 3. We tried to eat breakfast in your restaurant and ended up leaving bc no one acknowledged us. Other people got up and left too. Hair on the bathroom towels. Not pleasant. This hotel was average but could be so much better w better management. The people smoking out front and by the pool was not impressive or pleasant. The toilet is unbelievable to me that your management felt that was acceptable.

The water machine broke down and both pools were dirty. At checkout I never got a receipt even though they said they would email because there was only one person so she was busy on the phone then gestured to leave my room card on the desk, don’t leave without a receipt if u need one!

The front desk and restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially the young man from Hawaii.
