Reviews
The hotel reviews indicate a mix of positive and negative experiences. Guests generally appreciate the cleanliness of the rooms, comfort of the beds, and the friendly staff. However, there are recurring complaints about hidden fees, particularly for parking and breakfast, and issues with room cleanliness and maintenance.

Nice hotel. They really need to include breakfast with the stay. It is not worth the money they charge.

It was not found. Sad to say, somone in the hotel staff felt they needed it more than I did - so it's gone now. Ethics and integrity are important.

You pay $19 a day for parking. Rooms were clean.

Super clean and luxurious feeling! Highly recommended! Although my booking stated free parking and 2 free complimentary drink and didn’t receive either one. Parking is $20 per night!

Excellent

The room is so big. I like it. It will be better if the overnight parking is free

Excelente servicio, todos fueron muy amables.

Overall a very quiet and cozy hotel! The room was upgraded due to them not having the room we originally chose. The room was updated and very nice! Although, when we were getting ready for bed there was a stain or a dirty spot on the main bed sheet. We ended up taking it off and using one of the thin blankets as a cover because it was so late already to ask for new one. Other than that our experience was good. The front desk was very friendly and gave a list of useful information. Definitely stay here if you want something peaceful!
- 3.5/5
Standard level hotel for business travel. Clean and comfortable. Appreciate a working fridge and coffee maker in the room. Location is strange but I suppose for business travelers, being nestled in the middle of a business park makes sense. Also, parking should be included. Unless you're downtown, you absolutely need a car so tacking on parking costs felt a little like nickel and diming.

As my child is new to living in Santa Clara, I’ve been staying at various hotels. This hotel, however, was perfect for my stay. It’s conveniently located near her school and family. The staff was fantastic, and I never heard any noise from my neighbors.
- 3/5
The staff when I checked in was not very friendly.

Very convenient
- 3/5
Room that I stayed in needed a little maintenance/touch up in the restroom floor/wallpaper area.

Nice place
- 3/5
The walls were either really thin or they have really bad soundproofing. We could hear the neighbors snoring and talking outside of the building so if you’re a light sleeper, just be aware. Also bathroom sink drains so slow. Staff was nice though and hotel is relatively clean.

I visit my youngest daughter who lives in Sant Clara. I always stay at the Sonesta Hotel, Silicon Valley. It is in close proximity to everything I need and the hotel & services are always excellent. I’m NEVER disappointed.

We arrived late in the night and staff was super courteous and helpful getting us checked in. Room was large and clean with comfortable bed.
- 5/5
Great staff, comfortable rooms, black out curtains, reasonable prices. It doesn't get any better than this. This is my favorite hotel in the area.
- 3.5/5
It was weird to have to pay for parking ($19 a night) at a hotel with huge empty parking lots. I have never paid for parking in a residential/commercial/suburban area hotel before. Unfortunately, the restaurant seemed to be a stand alone entity so when we called down to see if we could order some food to go we were told he had to go in person to order. We had a dog and were trying NOT to bring a dog into their restaurant. It was not convenient so we ended up not spending our money there and got food elsewhere.
- 3.5/5
It was a fine stay. We were not at the hotel much as we were in day long sport competitions. The hotel allowed us to have our pet with us, which was the main point in picking it besides being close to our sporting tournament. The receptionist welcomed not only welcomed us with a smile, but all the staff at the check in desk did as well as we left, wishing us a safe flight home. Upon walking to our car, another member of the staff who was on her way in also smiled and said good morning. This hotel gets a five star rating for their friendly greetings the whole way.

Clean rooms, was happy to hear that I got an upgrade to a suite! Loved the suite. The pool and jacuzzi was clean, enjoyed the drinks at the bar and the wings were fire! Had a great stay there!
- 3/5
Overall the property was fine. What ruined our experience is that we found a cockroach in the bathroom, the room smell towards the end of the end was very odd, smelled like sewage. The property manager was great and helped as much as possible. The pool was very dirty and not usable.

Unfortunately, our room had a drainage issue with the shower. It further had issues with AC. They came to try and fix drainage but it smelled like eggs. We then got downgraded to another room which was very dirty and not to standard.

I was going through a Life Crisis and Susan at the Front Desk made my stay like a Home. Very caring, and goes Above and Beyond her job description! On check- in I was a disaster and she assisted me with my luggage from my car in the check in bay to my room. She addressed me by my name at all times which made me feel "Seen". Renee also goes Above and Beyond to assist you with the personal touches! Definitely recommend Sonesta Silicon Valley!
- 5/5
Customer service was amazing the staff went above and beyond this is our new go to hotel when in San Jose
- 5/5
It looks to be newly remodeled so the rooms and lobby look very nice and modern. My room must have been a mini suite with separate bedroom. Nice business hotel. They charge $19 for parking but the lot co-mingled with other commercial properties so it just looked like they were gouging for parking unnecessarily.

Nelli and Buu, at the bar/restaurant remember your drink you had last time and are quick to make sure you are happy with your beverage and food orders. Just another few reasons to make this hotel your to when in the area as I have.

The room was mostly clean and spacious, the window was left open. I thought the shower was clean until I started to step in and noticed the floor was filthy gray. The carpet was a bit crunchy, the bed was comfortable and the tiled entry seemed clean.

This is a nice, small hotel with a good amount of amenities to enjoy
- 0.5/5
The hotel was okay and the gym useful. The breakfast could be improved with some a la carte options. Despite the fact that the hotel is a decent value, I will never again stay here for business because they don't automatically send you receipts after your stay and you have to call accounting multiple times because they never pick up the phone to request a receipt for your expense report. It literally took me over a week last time to get the receipt.

- 4/5
It’s a nice and clean property. The only surprise part for me was 19 dollars per night for parking in Milpitas. I can understand downtown due to limited real estate but charge for parking in Milpitas is a bit too much. Plus I expected the total price that Expedia list is a total price so got a surprise there.
- 5/5
Very clean hotel. We had an upgrade due to being a hotel.com member for free. Also, the 2 drink coupons came in handy at the bar. It pays to be silver or gold. Probably one of the best showers i have had in a hotel in years, the shower and tub were separate.
- 4/5
The light switch is hidden behind the door instead of next to it, which might confuse you at first. The climate control panel is modern and easy to operate. I like it. The bathroom is satisfactory. I wish it had a bathtub — that would be a big plus.

Stayed here for one night with family before a medical procedure at Stanford. The outside of the hotel when you arrived looked old and tired. Parking was $19 ( which we knew but think was steep for the area). The lobby was clean and staff was nice. One of the main reasons we picked this hotel is because it advertised a hot tub and a heated pool, that they claimed wasn’t common in the area. Unfortunately the pool was definitely not at all heated and was freezing, paint was peeling from the sides and water was too cold to swim. Hot tub unfortunately was like warm bath temp at best and the jets didn’t work. The railings to get in and out of hot tub were broken and no longer attached to the ground. So the whole reason we picked this place was pretty much a bust. The room was nice, beds and pillows were comfy and for the most part was clean, except that the shower did have some long black hairs in it when we arrived. Charger in the nightstand was a nice touch and room was able to get very dark at night.

I would stay their again great service and it’s was a very relaxing atmosphere

But a shout out to Maria at the bar who’s a sweetheart and made us feel welcome with a warm greeting. Please fix your amenities as we only stay there because of the hot tub. Will consider the other sonesta on Bellew drive next time. We are regulars so would appreciate your comments on the above issues. Best regards

This hotel in my experiences has the quickest and easiest procedure I've ever dealt with. You will be resting comfortably in an extremely clean and well-equipped room in hardly any time. Front desk staff have this process down to a science. You can definitely tell that upper management have an amazing team. Can't forget about the nighttime staff who carry this high level of service through, and into the morning. When you leave for the day, expect a warm "goodbye and have a great day" from the front desk staff down to housekeeping. Forget something? - They have a good selection of small bites and toiletries if needed. Give the restaurant a try. Great drinks prepared by Maria, Nelly and Buu who truly know how to treat the guest with professionalism. Darius and his team in the award-winning kitchen, will make your taste buds smile with unique creations, that will make you want to come back time and time again. Please give a shoutout to the gentleman at the bar/restaurant on Monday morning for making you feel welcome and creates a fantastic bloody Mary Looking forward to my future stays with this hotel. You won't be disappointed. Cheers - CB

The hotel is pretty good and cool. It is pretty new, the breakfast is buffet. Is good but it’s not anything from other world. You have to call the front desk the night before if you want your room cleaned up. Our AC wasn’t working properly.

First, the $19 parking fee is difficult to justify given the complete lack of enforcement. After paying, I was not asked for a license plate number, and there appears to be no monitoring in place. This raises a fundamental question as to what the fee is actually for. In practice, it creates an unfair situation where guests who comply are charged, while others could easily park without consequence. Additionally, the hotel is located in an industrial area with abundant parking, which further makes this charge feel unreasonable. When I asked staff, the only explanation provided was that “it is Silicon Valley,” which is not a meaningful justification. Second, I was very surprised that there were no food or coffee options available after 11 a.m., even on a Saturday. I was unable to get even a basic hot latte, as staff stated they had already “filed the report.” For a hotel of this category, the complete lack of basic daytime service is unacceptable. Overall, these issues made the experience feel far below four-star expectations. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, and I would appreciate if you could address these concerns accordingly.

Hotel was very clean & welcoming. Was very surprised on the size of the room. Did not use pool area but looked inviting. Was not happy that breakfast was an extra charge & had to pay a parking fee. Hotel was in a business area, very quiet, I would have never guessed this hotel was there. Definitely will stay again.

Everything was wonderful from the room to the food. Decided to check out the Ribeye Steak this time and I was not disappointed. Tender and perfectly cooked to temperature by head chef Darius. Definitely will be getting that again. Shoutout to bartender Maria on a perfect Long Island ice tea and great conversation. Front desk staff are definitely a shining light when you arrive. You’ll be happy with your stay from check-in to checkout. Any issues or concerns are quickly dealt with by the friendly maintenance staff. Great job guys. Look forward to my return weekend. .

I’ve stayed here on business probably 30 times the rooms and service are great! However they recently added a $20 overnight parking charge that’s not listed or included on here. More frustrating since there’s about 75 open spots around the property every stay.

The attention to detail and hospitality is hands down the best you'll find in the San Jose and Milpitas area. Close to everything you might want to go see and visit, plus has an exceptional restaurant with top quality food and a great selection of desserts to cure that sweet tooth. The bartender at restaurant Buu is fun to talk to and very Rooms are always clean and tidy. No smoke or sewer smell that you might fine in other hotels. This is a huge plus in my book. Love the walk-in showers that are very spacious and hot water almost on demand when you turn on the faucet. The shower products are very nice to have in the shower as well. The small store near the front desk is extremely convenient if you forget something from home. Great little snacks plus sandwiches and drinks that are great if you come in after restaurant/bar closes. Front desk Manager Renee and Assistant Manager Cassandra are definitely a huge asset to this hotel. They take customer service to another level.

I like staying here vs the other Sinesta in Milpitas when I travel to NorCal for work because it’s a newer built so the rooms are huge and beautifully designed. It’s unfortunate that they’re now charging for parking $19 a night and they were out of bedroom slippers that day I stayed here.

Room was great, clean and had a big shower with great water pressure. Hotel was pretty quiet, staff were all amazing. The breakfast add on was a little pricey but it’s convenient and the food wasn’t horrible. I only gave four stars because the beds are rock hard which, after a day of walking around San Jose, the bed was not comfortable at all. The comforters on the beds sound like paper rustling any time you move.

The staff members were friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The atmosphere and decor were pleasant. There were nice a few nice sitting areas in the corridors in addition to the lobby. The main improvements I would suggest would be that the mini fridge in the room should have a freezer compartment and that the lobby should have complimentary coffee/tea. Also, there are not many amenities near the hotel, although the hotel itself is nice.

Front desk manager Renee is such a kind and personable individual that truly knows how to treat guest. You can definitely tell she passes her skills on to her staff, because they definitely shine. I have to add on how disappointed I was to pack up and leave on Sunday. Feel like I could live at this hotel for a long time. Room was incredible and the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed at. Housekeeping staff does a great job. Leave them a little something for their services, they work hard and deserve it. Shout out to Rafa (maintenance staff) for his quick response to the key card reader issue. He has great skills that are definitely worth giving him a big thank you. As always, Buu, Darius and the kitchen staff know how to make amazing culinary dishes Don’t hesitate to get the Manzanita burger. You can taste the quality of the beef and vegetables they use, and the bacon jam is next level. I have no need to stay at any other location but here, and after you’ve stayed once, I’m sure you’ll agree and return. See you soon!!!!!

Terrible allover. Phone didn't work. Sink and shower drain didn't work. Shower likes in the river.

Quite, convenient, and offered room upgrade to Expedia VIP
- 3/5
The staff were not very courteous. Also I was sleeping and the fire alarm sounded and nobody took the time to inform us it was false alarm. So I had to dress up and go check what was going on
- 5/5
Parking lot, hotel property and rooms always clean and welcoming. Maintenance staff are fantastic. . Huge thank you to Asst. Mgr. Cassandra for doing what you do. This doesn't go unnoticed. Front desk staff always friendly and welcoming every time you walk in the door. Check in is so fast and simple. See you soon!!!!!

Third time staying in this hotel. It’s a convenient location if you’re planning to commute from the airport to downtown as it’s in close proximity to both locations. Rooms are great, bed is comfortable, great water pressure and temperature control. I have been upgraded to a Jr Suite every time which is very spacious. I haven’t tried their breakfast yet. Parking is around $20 nightly. Easy check in / check out process. So far, planning to stay here again each time.
- 5/5
Staff was attentive and helpful , easy check in and out. Room was clean. Breakfast buffet was pricey with limited items, waiter was excellent.
- 3.5/5
On the second night of our stay the fire alarm went off falsely twice, with was really not pleasant when you are trying to sleep at night.
- 5/5
Room was spotless like always. Front staff and house keepers are always so polite.
- 4/5
Spacious room. Room conditions and hotel conditions are not price worthy. Staff for breakfast was not sufficient. Not a single table available. All tables have dirty dishes. Not cleaned in timely manner.
- 3/5
Breakfast start-time is good. Room is not clean enough, special for untouched space. Saw dust. The elevators hallway is too dark at night.
- 5/5
As alway Buu and Darius at the restaurant are amazing. All the staff make you feel like family. Wish I could give more than 5 stars. See you all soon.:)
- 5/5
Clean room, staff have great customer service.
- 0.5/5
Fire alarm and flooding got us out for the day. Looks like I paid more for the booking than I should have been.
- 1/5
The room itself was nice, very clean. The housekeeping staff is very attentive. The front desk woman informed me it was included in the room rate, and she provided me with the breakfast times. The next morning, the kitchen staff or whoever runs the breakfast was very rude, and profiled me and my friend because we were wearing gym clothes. She very rudely handled the situation, and when I went back to talk to the same front desk woman, she had "never said that". My friend and I left because we were not going to pay $29 each for breakfast when we could find an outside cafe. When I got back to my hotel room, my friend told me the kitchen staff and another guest started talking badly about what I was wearing. I was wearing running shorts and T-shirt. While the hotel itself was nice, I will not stay here again or recommend.
- 3/5
Overall, the hotel is good. However, the soundproofing between rooms could be improved. Footsteps from the upper floor can be heard in the room below, and when the neighboring room closes the door, it makes a loud noise that can be a bit startling during sleep. In addition, the parking fee is quite high. It would be appreciated if the app could be more transparent about parking fees before guests book a room.

I did not have breakfast, however everything was great!
- 1/5
I had to pay for parking and not many parking spots to park the parking lot was being worked on. Starting at 7am the sound of jack hammer outside the room was unbearable. Trying to sleep was not happening
- 5/5
Everything and everyone was great.
- 5/5
Shout outs to: Renee, Leo, Arlin, Susan, Alo, Dellanie and Maria. Also, I can't leave out the restaurant staff: Buu (always fun conversation) and Maria when I stay on a Sunday night (super sweet) and of course Darius the chef who makes an amazing burger. I'll continue to stay here as long as I can until my job takes me to another location. If you're looking for great service, great food and a clean room, look no further than this Sonesta. See you all soon.

This was our second stay at Sonesta, and once again it exceeded our expectations. The staff was consistently attentive, especially at the restaurant and the housekeeping team, who paid great attention to detail in keeping our room spotless. The front desk team was welcoming, customer-focused, and very responsive. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
- 3/5
The rooms were terribly smelling. Even after being moved to another floor. The carpet smelled bad. The shower was clogged the first use. Had to have service done. By day 3 it was clogging again. The pool was unavailable which was not noted at time of booking. Silly charge for parking when most of the lot was empty.
- 5/5
Great location! N/A
- 3/5
Front desk staff was nice and the man working in the Dining/kitchen area in the morning was very kind, friendly and made a great cappuccino. I felt as if the pictures of the hotel online were deceiving compared to how the hotel room I had actually looks. The beds seemed a bit worn out and lumpy. The chairs weren’t that clean and the room and mini fridge had a stench and honestly the bathroom is what really disappointed me. The shower was dirty and so was the floor, the shower could use some bleach and a good scrub and looks like it needs new caulking.
- 4/5
This was my second time here. The rooms are clean and updated, but maybe it was the area of the room, but we heard every single noise outside and above us. It was very disruptive. Next time I'd ask to be up on the second floor.
- 5/5
Fast check in, upgraded to a Jr Suite which was fantastic. Quiet and comfortable stay. Already booked again!
- 5/5
Everything was good and clean really like the place
- 5/5
Been staying here every weekend for the past 2 months. Always great service from the staff. Love the room size and location. Will continue to return.

The hotel was nice for the price. Clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
Bathroom/shower area had some mold around the door frame.
- 2/5
Toilet barely flushed, tv didn’t work, room was kind of dirty, had to pay extra to park & could hear the people above us walking around very easily
- 4/5
Clean room, friendly staff

Everything was exceptional!!!!!
- 4/5
The hotel room was likely recently renovated. Generally, it is a good hotel for its price.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff
- 4/5
Nice but snuck a $20 parking fee when not mentioned when making online reservation. Just bad business.
- 3/5
The room fairly clean but the coffee maker was not. In the lobby they only offered coffee that you had to pay for.
- 5/5
This is our go to hotel when we visit our family in Milpitas. Staff are amazing and we love the restaurant in the hotel.
- 5/5
Amazing !
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable, spacious, modern. No restaurants within walking distance so expect to drive/ uber/ Lyft unless you eat at hotel
- 5/5
Been staying here every weekend for two months and going. Love this place. Staff are friendly and rooms nice. Always look forward to my stay. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Room was clean and well-kept.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
For some reason, my room didn’t come with a complimentary breakfast but others did. Also, when i booked the hotel, it said the pool and hot tub would be open. The day we got there, we were told it was under maintenance. No mention of that anywhere. It was one of the main reasons i even chose the hotel. Otherwise, it was a decent stay.
- 3/5
Bathroom light kept turning on and off and the hvac barely worked
- 5/5
Definitely the best hotel I've stayed at so far, i look forward to staying here again!
- 3/5
The receptionist promised that my room will be upgraded for VIP but we did not get it. I was really looking forward to it. Other than that everything was OK.
- 4/5
Overall a good stay. Our first room wasn’t up to par (slightly dirty shower and phones not working) but staff were quick to move us into another room. Self-parking was easy and plentiful. Good location.
- 3/5
Bathroom smells terrible after using shower. Fire alarm woke up us at 5am, and again next day another false alarm, no explanation. I mentioned bathroom issue no apologies just thanks for let us know. Room has holes in the cealing. Overall the room and facilities were good, but the bathroom smells was really bad. The ladies from room cleaning service are so cordial and sweet.
- 2/5
Room was clean but horrible beds. They nickel and dime for everything
- 4/5
Staff were pleasant, room key had to be fixed 3x during stay. Amenities- everything was opened. Hot tub locked one night as security forgot to open it the morning of but it was fixed by staff. Will recommend for new comers, but won’t come back as I had stayed here twice. Better off staying on a property with free parking or breakfast. Breakfast was $29 per person per staff.
- 1/5
Nothing went well! We came to celebrate our anniversary. I wanted a nice hotel with hot tub, breakfast included; that was my filter. But I am told by receptionist, the hot tub isn’t working. The breakfast is only for 2 while we are 4 who check in. There is also parking cost that is not clear at all on Expedia. :(

- 5/5
We were there for a night or so.
- 5/5
Free breakfast would be nice!
- 4/5
Clean and updated. We enjoyed how friendly the staff was. Pool area is awesome. Breakfast buffett was good but a bit more limited than expected for a 4-star hotel. There was no change of menus from day to day.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect!

Paying for parking.
- 3/5
Hotel was good , I just felt there was a lot of hidden fees and miss communication when booking.
- 4/5
The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were great, clean and spacious. The only con is you have to pay for parking.
- 5/5
Excellent! What an amazing experience. The staff is so friendly, very welcoming, and hospitable.

I stayed here Nov 8-10. They charge 150 security deposit. I find this to be a ridiculous price it’s not an even a fancy resort. Come to find out they over charged me an additional 171 not including the 150 for the security deposit they claim was a mistake and they charge 19per night for you to leave your car parked. I did not see no security even patrolling around the parking lot. Regardless it was over 300 dollars they held and I had already paid for the stay so unfortunate. A manager reached out to me and didn’t offer nothing regarding their mistake but an apology and still made sure to deduct the parking from the security deposit
- 5/5
The hotel was great overall, zero complaints. One comment I would want others to know is that the hotel isn’t walking distance to stores or restaurants. So if you are carless like I was, definitely consider a rental because the Ubers will rack up. But truthfully, this was an excellent stay. I would definitely go back. The most important aspects for me are cleanliness and comfort and the hotel gave me both. Special thanks to Renee at the front desk, who accommodated us so well, greeted us so warmly and gave us all the info we requested. Not just about the hotel but about the city and how to make our plans happen the most effectively. You are greatly appreciated.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were courteous and helpful. Their friendly service made the stay pleasant and welcoming.
- 5/5
my room is very clean, updated, and the bathroom is very clean. The bed was absolutely comfortable.
- 5/5
Overall experience was excellent, and although we received the type of room we requested, we had asked for a specific room - the one we stayed in last time. We didn't recall the room number, but described which one it is. In response, the woman who checked us in said she would see what she had, but then just gave us the keys to a different room without ever telling us the one we asked for wasn't available.
- 4/5
good
- 3/5
Room was not clean. Hotel is old and noisy (thin walls/floors) and close to the interstate, which is also noisy. The bed was comfortable and the gym has a Peleton.
- 5/5
Nothing short of amazing! Beds were extremely comfortable, which is the first thing I look at. The noise was very minimal. Everything was clean in the room and the hotel in general. I felt like I stepped into a top-notch hotel when we checked in. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.

Outlet next to right side of bed doesn’t work. Woke up with my phone and watch not charged. Has room at end of hall and so there was a lot of traffic noise.
- 5/5
Clean and lovely room
- 3.5/5
The staff was very friendly. It was very clean and a great value. There was a church service on site which seemed very weird for a hotel.
- 5/5
Customer service met our expectations very friendly clean I would definitely be staying there again
- 5/5
nice, spacious and clean room with nice breakfast options but could not find the shower easily for the pool and hot tub, if it even exists at all
- 5/5
Great breakfast, friendly staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
A bit of miscommunication at first but was accommodated for a better room. The front desk is lovely and the hotel is tucked away so the peace is nice
- 5/5
Thin walls and ceiling, usually quiet until it wasn’t. Breakfast buffet very expensive for what was offered which didn’t include an omelette station at $30 per person.
- 5/5
better than Hilton
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Spa and pool, nice staff
- 4/5
Location Restriction smelled like oil for some reason and the coffee maker did not work
- 3/5
The pool and hot tub were both dirty. The hot tub was out of chemical balance and the pool needed the skimmer fixed. The prorperty is under construction, but they did shut down by 6pm which was fine for us. It was super loud at check in on a Thursday and if we weren't staying mostly over a weekend we would have been pretty frustrated.

The staff is always amazing here and accommodating. The hotel is only a few minutes from the airport. It is always very clean and just inviting. The only thing I hope they change at some point is to start adding microwaves to each room. No matter what I continue to stay here for the other positives.
- 5/5
Staff never came by and cleaned our room, could improve on this. Either than that, great service in the front desk & no major issues. Would definitely come back.
- 4/5
Room was huge!! Pleasantly surprised with how much room we had and how well it was laid out. Bar (and bartender) were both very nice and friendly. Great having a microwave, small fridge and coffee maker. Only issues were 1) hot tub not very hot 2) toilet was hard to flush and 3) the tv was not great. Front desk told us there was no way to get Netflix (however there was -- just required more work than some hotels). Convenient to good dining choices though.
- 5/5
This was the 4th and final hotel I stayed at on a seven day road trip from Oregon to Disney and back. This had by far the lushest, most comfortable bed of the trip. I was in a lot of pain from straining my back on the trip and finally got some much needed comfortable sleep here. We had tickets for Winchester mystery house, or I would’ve laid in that bed the whole time, haha. Also the room was great (upgraded to a suit!), nice and big! Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
The staff were friendly and attentive, making check-in smooth and ensuring we felt well taken care of throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the pool and fitness facilities, which were well maintained and a nice bonus. The location is convenient for both business and leisure, with easy access to the freeway and nearby dining options. Parking was straightforward, and everything about the experience felt easy and stress-free.

I decided to stay at Sonesta while on vacation since i used to stay at this hotel often before and after covid. The staff has changed and the professionalism has also changed. They are under construction and i was originally given a room right where the construction was being done, i requested to be moved and was given a new room. The next day i had a horrible slip and fall in the restroom due to the drain in the shower being not attached. I was completely embarrassed and stunned by the fall since i was by myself. The next day i was woken up by the fire alarm however i was in so much pain due to the fall i couldnt get up & assumed it was a drill after trying to call the lobby. I was never evacuated or even checked on in my room. I eventually made my way down since the room began to get warm and had stale air since tnere was no electricity. I went down the stairs to the lobby where i was told tbe building was shut down for 3 days. I asked why i wasnt evacuated ? No answer! Also i put in an incident report and was not followed up on. My foot was extremely bruised and swollen. This is completely unacceptable for Sonesta Hotels. No follow up from anyone!

Worst experience with hotels ever! I arrived at midnight after a 5hr flight. Sonesta silicon valley transferred me to sonesra san Jose because they said they had some issue. And they don't offer transportation! After i arrived at sonesta san Jose by Uber, the receptionist told me i have to wait for 30-45min because Their system is restarting! It was already 2:30am! They could not do anything else! Cancellation is not possible at that time! I am almost about to break down! Luck in a misfortune, the Check in took less than 30min And I could finally get a room to sleep in. Then I found the room was apparently not cleaned properly at all! The towels were messy in the bathroom and I highly doubt They were left by Last guest. The toilet even had some leftover! I was too tired to argue with them but I need to warn future guests to avoid this hotel! I don't know how they earned a good reputation online but this is far below average!
- 5/5
An employee directed us to another 3 minutes down the street to where our reservation was transfered. Due to us having to drive to the other location, Sonesta compensated our parking. Great location, excellent service, very clean, and one of the best places I have stayed while visiting the San Jose/Milpitas area.
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 5/5
Super clean and new.
- 5/5
Everything is good! Staff was very friendly and positive!
- 5/5
Lobely hotel. Breakfast was really nice!
- 4/5
But from the very next morning on, the entire experience was completely different. The staff were so loving, attentive, and caring—they didn’t just greet us, they made us feel at home. From the cleaning crew smiling and saying good morning, to Maria and Renee at the A.M. front desk joking and chatting with us, everyone went out of their way to make guests feel special. Breakfast was delicious, and the kitchen staff carried the same warmth, joking around and making sure we were well taken care of. The whole team created such a fun, welcoming environment that I will absolutely be staying here again—just because of the amazing people.
- 2/5
We enjoyed the drinks at the restaurant /bar, the pool and hot tub was good too but could use cleaning. We did not enjoy the location being on a busy street, being charged daily for parking, flat pillows which made sleeping difficult, no in-room microwave, and we no hospitality done! My garbage was not emptied during my 3-night stay, and I had to request fresh towels. There is also a charge of $250! It's refundable but the hotel/ Expedia should notify the customers when reserving. I didn't feel it was worth the money I spent. Definitely doing a higher end hotel if I'm going to spend the money! But overall it was decent, nothing to write home about.

- 3/5
My room was very nice but I ordered a chicken salad and a glass of Reisling and neither were very good
- 5/5
Only negative was having to pay to park.
- 5/5
Everything was smooth at check in. The free parking and room upgrade was a perfect touch. The hotel is beautiful
- 4/5
Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was perfect for a business trip. The breakfast was good and the waitress was excellent. The room was very large and clean.
- 2/5
Stayed here for one night. I paid $300 for one night which I think is overpriced for this hotel. This did not include breakfast or parking which I had to pay extra for. The hotel has an odd smell. I wouldn’t stay again.
- 5/5
Thank you
- 4/5
good clean hotel with parking, dinning, etc. Didnt do much else. Feels a bit basic
- 5/5
I’ve stayed here with my significant other now two times each time has been great. The facilities are clean. The staff is amazing. The bartenders are great.
- 5/5
Check in took forever because of an event in the area, but overall experience was good. Loved our room and the pitch black rooms at night to sleep. Super comfortable bed also & hot water in shower was to my liking.
- 5/5
We enjoyed the buffet breakfast
- 5/5
I would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Hotel in general was clean and nice. The area around the hotel was unkept. The food option was extremely pricey and not good. We could not get ice anywhere. The cleaning staff was friendly and efficient. They charge an outrageous amount for parking considering it is not in the best location
- 1/5
Stayed at the hotel for a business trip and paying almost $20 additional for parking per day people still broke into our truck overnight. The people attempted to hot wire the truck but were unsuccessful. The hotel did nothing to accommodate nor take responsibility for the lack of security showed no interest in finding any type of solution.

- 4/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Bed was very comfortable. Thanks to Renee, check in was seamless.
- 4/5
Loved the black out curtains in the room. We slept great. It was very quiet. I liked having the restaurant onsite, even though it was definitely overpriced for what it was, I still appreciated not having to leave the property. Felt a little catfished with the hot tub. It was green and needs to be resurfaced, it hurt to sit on. The photos made it look brand new and clean. I was also a little annoyed I had to unload everything from my car to check in because there was nowhere close to park for check in, then had to walk back out to the car to register my car for parking. We were also disappointed the tv was a smart tv but there were no apps to watch Netflix or Disney+ like we planned. It was a pleasant stay and we got a great last minute deal so the price was good.

Did not honor early check-in. Was checked in 30 mins past regular check-in

I love the Sonesta hotels and have been impressed with my stay at different locations. I love the room upgrade and service. Thank you.
- 5/5
Clean, convenient for business trip
- 3/5
The hotel itself was really nice with good amenities. However the service we received was not satisfactory. I requested housekeeping to which the front desk said that only the towels woudl be changed and garbage would be taken out. But that didnt happen on that day and had to be done the next day. The lock to the bathroom door was broken and I requested 3 times for it to be changed after which it was done. That is really poor service.
- 5/5
Amazing and will stay again
- 4/5
Stay one more night, The staff asking price is 185 extra one more night and the bill come up 290 for extra one more night

Everything was fine until check out time , when it was time for breakfast. We were told breakfast was included so we sat down grab very light breakfast such as glass of oj small cup of cut up fruit , bagel etc...then we got bill $75...we complain to server but nobody knew managers name on site according to them....went to front dest only to be giving a business card!

- The front desk manager P kicked us out during our stay because she couldn’t handle the room change process professionally and escalated the situation with aggressive behavior. - Here’s what happened: the hotel gave away the room I originally booked, and I was told I had to switch rooms on the second day. During the move, I was ordered to pack everything and switch rooms within 30 minutes — with no assistance. - She sent housekeeping to pressure us right after our conversation, then came herself, banging on the door with even more aggressive behavior. I felt harassed and intimidated. - When I tried to cool down and close the door so we could de-escalate and explain, she didn’t give us the chance. She canceled our stay and kicked us out. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. If you care about basic respect and professionalism, stay somewhere else.

We stayed at this hotel to go to the theme park. It was a short drive and the hotel was awesome. The staff was friendly and the hotel had a restaurant and bar on site which had great service.

Rooms was really nice! Beds comfortable. Extra plus bedding was super soft. Table in room which was helpful for dinner time. Our sink had issues and wouldn’t drain- stomper stuck. Maintenance came up to fix it within 5 mins. Find out it needed to be rebuilt. They offered to do that night but we declined since it was so late. They returned the next day and fixed while we were out :) I really appreciated how they handled this. I have called maintenance in other hotels and never got a response and had to call over and over.. but not this hotel. One call and it was fixed. I didn’t even have to call the next morning to ask for the return trip. Will for sure stay again!

The only inconvenience was with the parking. Rather than a paper parking permit for the dashboard, I had to complete an online parking registration through my phone. It took several minutes, I had to input my credit card information on the off chance that I overstayed. All this to park in an open lot at the hotel. Once I had finished the annoying process, I was given 2 days of parking for a one night stay. Unnecessarily stressful. The rest of the stay was excellent.
