TownePlace Suites by Marriott Miami Airport

Changed our room reservations which left an adult sleeping on a pull out couch. Airport shuttle was broken down and staff was “unsure of the plan for the morning”. Room itself was snug but nice. Clean and updated.

I'm recovering from surgery and I couldn't choose a better place, thank you. The cleaning people have been more than friendly and those at the reception also thank you. Very kind and they have helped me in what I have requested, it is very worthwhile.

Very nice to stay the day before embarking on our cruise. Fair pricing and we enjoyed the breakfast! Will probably book here again in the future

As a member, I was allowed to stay until 4 PM but the hotel was literally kicking me out at 1 PM. Housekeeping staff was waiting outside the door and I’m sure stole things from my room because we had to pack in a rush andwhen we got home, things were missing. We were not in town for vacation. We were in town for a family member surgery.

Hotel under renovation. It's a lot. I could speak negativity about this place due to the room that was provided, but I'm not going to dwell on it. I just know I won't book there again. It's in a great location, I will say that.

The reception staff and shuttle drivers were helpful. The pool area was well maintained and a relaxing area to spend time. The breakfast had plenty of variety and the staff kept it replenished. Handy to have bar meals availability too. The room was comfortable and soundproofed to enable a good night's sleep despite the hot being so conveniently close to the airport.

Property was well maintained. Staff was extremely nice and thoughtful. Made sure that all 22 of us stayed on the say floor. Breakfast was okay. Shuttle driver was really nice. Close to port which was a plus for us because we had to transport 22 ppl the very next day.

This trip was with my parents, who have limited mobility, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the kind staff member who assisted us during hotel check-in. Although I am sorry that I cannot recall his name, his help made the process very smooth and allowed us to start our family trip on a high note. This is one of my go-to hotels due to its excellent environment, which is especially ideal for family travel!

Really good for a night after a flight from the UK. Shuttle bus was perfect both ways to and from the hotel and the staff were lovely.

I paid for my reservation in full through Booking before arriving at the hotel. When I checked in, I informed the front desk that my stay had already been paid for, but I was told I had to pay again. As a result, I was charged a second time for the full cost of my stay. I spoke with Hillary about the issue, and I was told there was nothing the hotel could do and that I would need to contact my bank. I found this extremely frustrating, as the hotel should be able to verify whether a reservation has already been paid. Being charged twice for the same stay caused unnecessary stress and financial inconvenience during my trip. I would strongly recommend that future guests carefully review their charges and receipts to ensure they are not billed more than once. Very disappointed with how this situation was handled.

Our second stay here in two weeks, coming to Miami and staying overnight before continuing our trip. The staff was always very helpful and the property was nice. We used the laundry and ate one dinner at the hotel. Breakfast was pretty elaborate and we could not do it justice. Our experience with the shuttle was mostly good but if you wait more than 45 minutes at the airport, call and press zero.

The property is clean and nice. The room was comfortable. The breakfast is good, wish they had bacon. Most patrons stayed there to board their cruise as did we. My only criticism is the bar opening so late in the day. I recommend this hotel. Catch of the day is a good restaurant to go for happy hour and right down the block

Very nice property for the price point for sure. Would recommend it especially if you have a family. Kitchenette is fully stocked with all cooking utensils needed. Very handy little hotel room. 2 burner stove and microwave. Spacious. The staff very pleasant. Stayed 1 night before cruise. They handled transportation to pier. $15 each person in a shuttle van one way. Free breakfast as well.

They are upgrading the 7th floor so there was some construction but other then that they place was great. Close to everything and it has a shuttle to the airport for those that need one.

We arrived about 4 hours before check in. One of our rooms was ready, so they let us check in early into that room until the 2nd room was ready. The staff was friendly and very helpful getting our family a shuttle to the cruise port. Our suite was a good size and everything was clean. It took about 3 hours to get the extra towels we needed. The shuttle provided from the airport was not on a continuous loop every 30 minutes as stated. We waited almost an hour before I called the hotel and acquired about the shuttle, then he appeared in about 15 minutes. But the driver was friendly and the shuttle was clean.

Kept calling for clean towels and nobody could bring them to the room had to go get them myself and shuttle for hotel never arrived to airport ended up having to pay 50$ just to get to hotel

Breakfast was mediocre with standard fare. Warning ⚠️. For those who enjoy a real hamburger, don't order here. The burger was very flavorful. It tasted like a well seasoned meatloaf. Not horrible but definitely not beefy. With all being said, I probably would stay again if I needed a longer stay.

Free transfer, nice room, comfortable bed, kind and helpful recepcionists. Poor breakfast selection, and the air conditioning in the room could not be turned off or operated properly.

We bought breakfast items to cook and there was mo spatula or knife or corkscrew so fried eggs and wine were a challenge. Listing says there are four beds, one is a non pullout couch with no extra pillows or blankets. Listing said it was two bathrooms. Its really 1.5 bathrooms. This impacted the 6 people staying there. There is no plunger in the unit either. Hallways were crazy cold, but inside unit was a little humid. Checkin was a cluster with one person working desk. Slow. Location was nice and pool area and tiki bar were great. Wish I had better things to say...but want to be honest.

The property is currently under construction. The 7th floor is being renovated. There was a disturbance with the fire alarm at 12:34am that last over an hour without any safety announcements nor updates from the overnight staff. Our impression is that the staff members are inadequately trained to uphold the standards of the Marriott enterprise.

Location of hotel was great for car rental return and access to Miami airport. Dining options are walkable along with their internal restaurant. Our bathroom had issues with toilet not flushing well and sink drain a bit clogged. Paint job on ceiling was not good. Looked like they missed a portion.

The hotel is close to the airport and has a Shuttle bus, which is why we chose to stay there. We had 8 travelers so navigating a shuttle is often challenging. We contacted the hotel in advance to let them know our arrival time and once we got our bags we called them to let them know where we would be outside. They picked us up within 10 minutes, Excellent first impression. 😊. The check in process was very smooth and the front desk folks were professional, engaging and helpful. They recommended a private shuttle to the Port of Miami the next day for our cruise and they handled the logistics. It went very smoothly and all 8 of us arrived at the port together. I highly recommend TownPkace Suites Marriott Miami Airport.

OK place to stay before a cruise. The room was spacious and had nightstands and electrical outlets on both sides of the bed, plus more outlets by the desk. There wasn't much around to eat, though, so we were dependent on the in-house restaurant, which isn't open for lunch and for dinner had slow service (fine for adults just biding their time, but our grandkids weren't as patient). Breakfast was good, with an adequate variety, but staff couldn't keep up with refilling needs (there was a long wait for more bacon, for example). My husband enjoyed the gym and pool. The hotel provides a free airport shuttle, but it's less frequent than for the other Marriott properties in the area. (Three of the other passed by in the time I waited 1/2 hour for this one.)

Overall, the experience was not bad, but I found the property to be a bit dated compared to more updated Marriott hotels what I also liked about the property I was able to get my laundry clean before my trip. They have cashless washers and driers another bonus is there’s a movie theatre just a block away.

in all my, stay with this hotel was not good, for that night, and because we booked two nights with you and did not want to lose any money, we stayed at the end of course too. that night was somewhat better except for the room was cold, the air would not turn, off or go down, do anything. I picked your hotel because we thought it was convenient, easy to and from the airport, which that was another thing , for every half hour shuttle, we waited an hour and half poorly run. So unfortunately we will not stay at this hotel again.

The room was clean, the breakfast was good, i used the self laundry and i saw that the pool was nice and clean.

Unfortunately our flight was delayed and when we tried to book the complimentary airport transfer we were told it had finished - it was midnight though. The room was well appointed and had everything you need . Large bed which was very comfy. Breakfast was included and had a good choice - very happy with the options. The only thing I would say is that some of the carpets need a thorough clean and some of the benches in the breakfast area need an update. Staff were very pleasant. I would stay again as I found it good value for money.

We didn’t eat at the hotel while we were there, but the staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Check-in included complimentary water bottles and cookies, which came in handy later when we got hungry/thirsty. Would definitely stay again!

The breakfast was lovely. However, being told there was a shuttle to the airport and then having a taxi “affiliated” with the hotel take us was totally misleading. The cab driver was very nice but dint speak any English.

The Good: Property and rooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Free breakfast was adequate. The bad: Room services was not provided every other day as promised. I had to request my towels and sheets to be replaced after getting to my room one day and finding they were not replaced. There is a $27 parking fee per day which I was not expecting to pay. I had to park on the streets to avoid paying parking fees.

Every time we go to Miami we stay at the TownePlace Suites. This past visit was our third time. The staff is always pleasant, professional, and friendly. One suggestion would be to have more than one person at the front desk when it gets busy. Keep up the great work!

The staff are amazing no matter what your question! Heated pool! Complimentary breakfast has great array of foods! Beds are very comfortable! Food places, a Target and liquor store all within walking distance in a safe neighborhood. We stayed the day before and after our cruise and I highly recommend and will be back again!

We left a shirt and glass set in the room. We called the hotel and they said that they would keep it stored until we got back from our cruise. When we returned and went to the hotel. They said that it was no where to be found. Spoke to Jessica on 02/26. Returned 03/02 in the morning.

From the air conditioner not working properly and being hot all night, to being woke up at least 3 times at 230am by the fire alarm going off, no explanation whatsoever to them running out of breakfast this morning. They were busy and Not at all Properly prepared! I’m very disappointed

The elevators were broken down for half of our stay and had to climb 6 flights of stairs multiple times. We also booked this specific hotel for the laundry room and only one machine was working and many people trying to use it.

It took 20 hours to have the toilet paper delivered and I had to call the desk and ask again.

Staff was great, but the mattress was lumpy, and the pillows were flat.

Thermostat on the wall is not working. You can’t control heating. Room gets too cold or too hot. Front desk never picks up and I had to go there to ask for cutlery when I couldn’t find it in the drawers. They said they will send it to our room from the kitchen. It didn’t ever arrived!! We had to use the plastic spoons I found in my bag. There’s no room service for the 4 nights duration our stay. Had to request for towels and toilet paper. Trash bins were filled out. Toilet flash wasn’t working and had to ask the guy to come and fix it. This was one of the worst places we have ever stayed.

I've forgotten my husband garment with his suits jackets on a closet , they're refusing to return it.

Very nice room. Good bar downstairs. Requested a low floor when booked (prefer not to ride elevators) and received confirmation. On arrival, was given FOURTH floor. Complained and nothing was done. Front desk staff unable to help and blamed others for not paying closer attention. Had to haul luggage up four flights of stairs. Would not have stayed here if known that my request was not honored.

Although we did not use the pool, gym or parking - we saw lots of guests enjoying the amenities. Free breakfast was included and had a good selection of options. The free coffee, tea and water all day were also appreciated. Airport shuttle is convenient and runs frequently (every 30 minutes). Location is walking distance to several good restaurants and small shopping mall, but it is not easy to walk to green space or water due to busy highway. Great place to stay before a flight or cruise vacation.

When we arrived, we were informed that our room with two double beds for four adults would not be available due to overbooking. We were told we could take a room with a king bed and a pull out, and that was our only option. There was no apology, no further explanation, just “Do you want it or not?” When the pull out was used, you could not get between the bed and the pull out. The persons on the inside of the beds had to crawl over the end of the bed to get out. We were told we should just be thankful because they were overbooked by seven rooms the next day, and “that’s just what happens when the system adjusts each night.” If that’s the case, the system needs adjusting. I’m not really sure of the point of having a reservation and confirmation number. The “24 hour coffee” was often out and when it was available, was lukewarm. The breakfast was decent, and the room seemed clean, but overall, we all felt the stay was barely adequate.

Room was very clean. Erica at front desk was very helpful, cheerful, and answered all our questions. She even got me signed up with a Marriot membership and assisted with our shittle. Bar area was nice and had the NFL playoffs on which helped pass the time while we waited for our room.

Breakfast was good but dinner wasn’t. There were only a couple of items on the menu. There was only one person handling several jobs. He was the bartender, the person who seats you, the person who takes your order, the person who delivers your meal and the person who cleans up.

I had a great stay at TownePlace Suites Miami Airport. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The service was excellent, and the staff members were friendly, professional, and always helpful. I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room is spacious, the breakfast provides a variety of options, I personally like the drinks that they offered. However, one thing as a note is, we were not able to enjoy any kinds of housekeeping services during 5 nights we stayed, which was not really satisfied. After a week, we still feel its fine & overall is great.

We liked to the amenities in the kitchen area of the room. Breakfast options were great.The staff was very friendly and trying to help. However, the description on Expedia for the two queen beds room is incorrect. Due to the wrong description that Expedia has provided on the website we had to go back back-and-forth to the front desk to get the room we need. The room with the two queen beds does not have a sleeper sofa. It is Expedia’s mistake to have it in the description. Only some rooms with a king bed have the sleeper sofa. Because of that mistake and the need to go back-and-forth to the front desk and wait in line while they’re helping the other guests we were unable to get the dinner for our younger child who was very tired. We’re supposed to get a discount because of the room confusion but we have not yet as we booked through Expedia. Hopefully, after reading the comments, it will be corrected.

This is misleading. There should be an information that the parking needs to be paid in addition.

Primary reason for the poor review is that our room did not have a working TV and when we asked to have someone look at it, we were told it’s unfixable. We asked if we could switch rooms and were told no. So we asked if we could be compensated somehow and were told we could get 10% off our room. Mind you, we pressed for all this, it was not offered nor was an apology. When I checked out, I asked about it and was told the manager was working on it. I called back a few days later and my info was taken and I was promised a called back. It’s been 5 days so my only recourse now is leaving a poor review.

Room key doesn't work the 2nd day when I back to the hotel, this is normal , I understand and they coming fast to fix the lock. what I don't understand is why there is no room cleaning, and changing towel. Reception staff and the shuttle driver were wonderful. But…, For only few hours of staying and expecting a great rest after a tired day…, Room was very cold in the living room that I supposed to sleep and sofa bed would not open. Ended up sleeping in the floor in the bedroom. My company snores so the intention of having a good sleep separately did not happen. After a long wait, Technician checked the temperature but nothing changed I think the HVAC is poor. In summary, we did not sleep well. I also noticed, Linen supplies are below standard for the money we paid. The facility needs renovation. We were very disappointed.

The airport shuttle wasn’t running and the front desk was understaffed. This does not measure up to the Marriott name.

Great hotel! Clean room. Buffet was nice. Location was great. Front desk was very helpful and nice at check in. Was a bit disappointed with the shuttle service from the airport. When I called the morning of our arrival they said to call when I land and they will send the shuttle. When I landed and called they said it only comes once an hour. There was a guy standing at the stop stating he’d been there for over an hour. When the shuttle finally came I had to wave him down as he was going to just drive past without stopping. This was after I told the hotel what location I was at when I called. One of the primary reasons I chose this hotel was for the shuttle.

will give this hotel 2 stars but only because of cleanliness. We attempted to change our reservation or get a refund after needing to go home early due to a death in our family and they refused Expedia. Expedia was willing to allow us to transfer to another hotel as it would take a couple of days to get back home due to me just having surgery or give us a refund but needed the hotel’s approval. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service. There was also some kind of fire or maintenance issue where we smelled burning and there were a few fans in the hall one night. No one ever called us or let us know what was going on on our floor. We came back the next day to a pile of ac units in the parking garage. Breakfast was ok and there were several instances we ordered towels and other items to be brought to the room and it took over a day to get them. The attached restaurant is very limited. If you’re thinking of staying here after a surgery, don’t. Terrible logistics even their “accessible” rooms. There’s either you go through the lobby and wait for your spouse to drive around or you go through a back entrance and have to go up/down stairs. Which as you can imagine was very difficult with a walker. Also the parking garage is tight! If you drive a big truck, be ready for hitting your antenna on the clearance signs and maybe one of their arms to come down on your vehicle while trying to maneuver the tight space. Logistical nightmare and horrendous customer service! Will not be

Before embarking on our cruise, my wife and I spent a night at this hotel, which we had visited before. We were looking forward to a smooth and comfortable stay, but our experience with the complimentary shuttle service fell short. Despite waiting for over an hour and a half, the driver's poor customer service made the situation worse. Fortunately, after escalating the issue to the reservations team, manager Estevban apologized and provided a resolution, which included a discounted room rate and a complimentary meal. This turned our stay around, and we appreciated the effort to make things right.

Breakfast and dinner was fresh and delicious. The airport shutter wait was terrible. I had an almost 2 hours wait after calling to confirm that it was en route. The dining table chairs had not been cleaned. There was a lot of crumbs in the seats of the chairs. Overall, I love the hotel and the staff is amazing.

Checkin was easy. Our room was spotless. We loved the large shower! Breakfast was great. We loved all of the toppings for oatmeal and waffles. They even had gluten free muffins. Our only complaint was how the port shuttle was handled. We signed up for the cruise shuttle ($20/person) but there didn’t seem to be a system for checking that the people got on the shuttle at their assigned time, or monitoring that the number of people at a certain time could be accommodated. A large group signed up at our same time and they took the shuttle when it arrived. The shuttle driver said that another shuttle was on the way. We waited over an hour and then ordered an Uber. Granted, traffic to the port was terrible that day, but 25+ people should not have been allowed to sign up for a shuttle at a specific time if the shuttle couldn’t take that many people.

My 5 night stay was amazing!

We liked the hotel except for the laundry facility. We were going on a cruise so it was important to us to be able to wash the clothes before. The laundry uses only an app for the payments and because we are from overseas we couldn’t make the payment. Because of it I don’t think we will stay at this hotel again when we go on a cruise next time.

This hotel is very clean and the staff very friendly. The rooms are spacious and have a small kitchen with fridge dishwasher sink and stove. The pool area is small. The lobby is large and clean and they always have coffee/ tea. The area directly outside the hotel is just meh, but you can take a walk and there are several local restaurants nearby.

The front desk crew were extremely kind and helpful on Saturday and Sunday. The only 2 small complaints were 1) there are no safes in the rooms. We were traveling with our passports and didn’t want to leave them in the hotel without a safe but didn’t want to travel outside with them for fear of loss or theft. 2) the airport shuttle guy was not very kind or helpful. He didn’t even attempt to secure our luggage. We placed it in the van ourselves.

This is the second stay at this hotel we enjoyed it very much the reception desk was very helpful and efficient especially Tania who greeted us when we first arrived she couldn't do enough for us. Tania also arranged our ride from the hotel to the cruise port. The breakfast was very good and nutritional. I highly recommend this hotel and it also offered free shuttle service to and from the airport.

While the airport shuttle was quite the wait (over an hour), when I arrived at the hotel, the woman at the desk was so friendly and incredibly helpful. She was able to arrange a taxi for me to get back to the airport early the next morning for a very cheap rate. The restaurant had great food and service. The room was very clean. Only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star was our room had a sight odor I believe from cleaning supplies which we found to be slightly overwhelming. Otherwise would stay again!!! This hotel was convenient because of the distance to the airport and the activities my husband and I wanted to engage in for our vacation. We were disappointed because the rooms were musty and smelled mold like and the first night I fell sick. The front desk change our room 4 times until we found one with clean enough atmosphere. The pool wa out of commission for our entire stay as well and we were looking forward to the pool.

I was pleased to know it had a restaurant but only offered burger (no egg, out of eggs) and fries off minimal menu as it was. Ok for what I needed but rate it as a $59.99 night stay.

On the first day after arriving, I purchase a sandwich, placed it in the dining area in my room, and when I went to pick it up again, there were ants surrounding and INSIDE the packaging. I made sure to throw it out and keep any food away from the rest of the room and only in the fridge.

Unfortunately the pool was closed! We did not receive a notice on this, which is the upsetting part since we were traveling last minute on a family emergency. We chose this hotel near the airport with a pool for our kids to enjoy some fun time but turned out it was under construction. No good - our room phone did not work and room smelled like old rag and it was humid. But the front desk staff and other staff members were friendly and understanding, and I definitely appreciated that!

My stay was okay overall. Not much variety for the breakfast menu. Basically the same foods everyday. The showerhead was very dirty had lots of build up I had to clean some off it before using the shower. Recommend proper cleaning or replace it. The room doors are really loud to close.
