San Juan Hotel

The property was very nice well maintained friendly staff. The pool was very clean and breakfast cafe was reasonably priced with big breakfast portions. The only bad thing no parking only valet service. I recommend the San Juan Hotel for future visits.

Good price for location. Free use of beach chairs + umbrella included was great. Pool was great. Staff was great. Mojitos at the lobby bar were delicious. Walking distance to food and drinks great. My only complaints were: 1) Odd odor in the entire hotel. 2) You can hear the other guests through the walls. 3) Had to pay $15 flat rate EVERY TIME you move the car from the parking garage that is 2 blocks away.

The access to the beach and beach chairs was nice. The breakfast was amazing. Best breakfast in a hotel I've ever had actually. With great coffee. Make sure to make a reservation though, apparently I didn't know to do that and felt a little talked down to when I asked about it.

The hotel room felt dirty. All the sounds pass thru the walls and you can hear everything. The elevator is very tiny. Good location but not a nice hotel in my opinion. Very old and outdated.

The hotel was clean and well maintained. However, there were not many activities or amenities available. Our room was located near the elevator, and we could hear the noise whenever it went up and down. At night, there was also noticeable street noise from traffic and other outside disturbances. Overall, our stay was not unpleasant, but these issues made it more difficult to get a restful night’s sleep.

Property isn’t on the beach, you have to walk a block to the beach. They charge you $46 a day for a resort fee and I don’t know why! They have 1 bar that closes at 10p and no restaurant. The pool is an old kiddie pool and the water felt a little slimy, that closed at 8p. The beds are board with mattresses on top of them. The best part of the rooms are the bathrooms. The front desk staff only were a little rude, when asking for towels etc. The rest of the staff were very professional and polite. Hotel wasn’t what I expected for the price. Cancelled reservations at the JW to stay here! Never again… Not worth the money and most of the things advertised wasn’t even on the resort

Good location, beach amenities a plus, and the hotel staff were excellent. I will say the hotel is listed as a 4 star and it is definitely 3-3.5 stars. Worked well for our stay.

The room it self needs updates and repairs. The outlets hang loose, the toilet wasn’t working properly, we called for a few moments and no one answers, but they called back minutes later, the mattress kept moving around and falling off the base, the curtains had weird stains on it. The location is great, not right by the ocean like we thought but a close walk. The umbrella and chairs with towels were great to have at the beach which the hotel provides. There’s a little shop at the beach that sells delicious fresh coconuts. Defiantly recommend them. The front desk and all other staff was friendly.

Superb hotel located in an excellent position for all the attractions that the locality has to offer! Rooms are spacious and clean but the biggest benefit here is definitely the staff who went above and beyond for us! We arrived well before the 3pm check-in time and the guy on reception said our rooms were ready anyway and we were welcome to check-in earlier, at no extra cost (we arrived at 10am) Superb gesture. They even arranged transfer back to the airport the next day which was cheaper than anyone else had quoted, including Uber! Thankyou for a great stay! We'll be back!! No improvement necessary!

All perfect to be honest I loved everything on this hotel , nice located , easy to take any bus or by walk go every where . And the staff are all very friendly ready to help . I can’t remember a negative thing, because even the rooms , bathrooms were so good clean . And everyday clean . So nothing to say

Unfortunately the ceilings are paper thin….past midnight and again 4am we heard every step, bang and movement on top and even had to call the front desk (we didn’t have a good nights sleep). There is remodeling of their dining bar, so the continental breakfast was being served up in the front “bar” but we recommend having a form of warming up their croissant sandwiches. All our members of our travel group recommend change the hotel incense (as the one they have has a peculiarly non attractive smell). Staff was very welcoming and one of the servicemen was very nice & friendly to my kids, offering him a surfoboard for the beach :)

This was a no frills, perfect location place for us to stay during our conference. The staff was friendly and helpful and the guacamole, salsa and chips were fresh and perfect! This hotel reminded me of my stay in Italy many years ago. The beach, convention center and many restaurants were within walking distance. Gracias

After reading some really bad reviews here, I was concerned about our stay at San Juan Hotel. That's why I'll try to give a sincere opinion of our experience there. In a nutshell: Is it perfect? No Is it Awful? No Would we stay there again? Eventually, maybe yes. Best things about the hotel: Location, spacious room, decent Mattress and fairly clean linens. Not as pricy as other similar options in the surroundings (bearing in mind that EVERYTHING is overpriced in Miami Beach) The floor below the shower makes a squeak noise when stepped. The cleanliness of the room could be better. There was some dust over the furniture's surface

Pretty on the outside needs a little TLC on the inside. Staff was nice just could be a little more kept up to date with cleaning.

The hotel is okay and has a great location. The rooms are of an acceptable size. One major downside is the noise. If you get a room attached to the air conditioning unit for the entire building, like we did, it becomes impossible to sleep because it runs 24/7. We tried to get another room, but they refused our request. The reception staff had a really bad attitude and made absolutely no effort to support us or solve the issue. The hotel desperately needs better sound insulation in some rooms.

The staff is AMAZING. I stayed at hotels 3 times as expensive in Miami Beach but the staff at this hotel is so so so much better. Super friendly, helpful. Especially the people behind the bar, concierge and the younger front desk employees. The more senior front desk employee is okay. More distant. Formal and not as warm and helpful. Lighting was great. Compared to other us hotels this is amazing. No migraine inducing lights The smell in the room. Was As if I was staying in a smoking room.

everything was very good, the only thing I would like to mention is the cleaning of the rooms. The nightlamps were very dusty and they didnt dry off the table around the sink during my week stay there. Otherwise very good, have stayed there twice

I arrived on 3/18 during the rainy chilly weather and when got to my room, the temperature was very low, somewhere in the 60s with the AC actively blowing. I tried adjusting the thermostat but nothing changed. I had received a welcome text saying I could call or text if I needed anything, so I sent a message asking how I could adjust the thermostat however no one responded. I actually sent 2 different texts on different days with no response. After waiting, I ended up calling the front desk. A staff member came to my room and turned the thermostat completely off. I explained that I didn't want it off, I just didn't want the cold air constantly blowing. I was told the system is centralized and that I could not control the temperature myself. That was frustrating because what is the purpose of having a thermostat in the room if guests can't actually adjust it to their comfort. It's either on or off. Another issue was the outlet. The outlet behind the desk was low with an adapter making it inconvenient to use. The outlets by the bed are loose so my phone and laptop chargers kept slipping out. While the lamps do include charging ports, they're are outdated. With newer devices it would be much more helpful if the hotel updated them to include standard plugs or USB-C ports. Overall the stay didn't meet my expectations.

I really enjoyed the location, it was perfect and very convenient. The pool area was great, and both bars (by the pool and in the lobby) were excellent with a nice atmosphere. I also loved the delicious tea infused water available for guests in the lobby, such a thoughtful and refreshing touch. -

A beautiful boutique hotel. AMAZING location and amenities. The pool area is so beautiful and beach lounge chair access is fantastic! The staff is SO friendly and helpful. Very much enjoyed their happy hour at the beautiful little bar in lobby and the breakfast at the cafe was huge and delicious. Highly recommend without hesitation…other than I don’t want it to get too busy because I’ll want to stay again when I return to MIAMI! 😅

O hotel tem uma ótima localização para quem quer ficar em Miami Beach. Para mim, o ponto bom é esse. Extremamente caro, falta uma melhor higienização dos quartos e pararem de explorar quase 50 dólares em uma diária de carro. Eu não indico, existem hotéis melhores e mais baratos na região.

We pulled our car up to the front on Collins for valet and were barely off the street and partially blocking the sidewalk. When the valet went to move the car the battery was completely dead. The valet and the manager were extremely helpful. They tried to jump the car, to no avail. They called a cab and we were able to get to an auto parts store to get a battery and replace it within an hour. This wasn’t their problem, it was mine. They did everything they could to help us. Breakfast by the pool was great and very reasonably priced.

However bathroom is bit smaller and no place to keep our cloths while showering Area is noisy and we were stayed first floor and keep hearing noises from upstair room which disturbs our sleep. Breakfast is not good.We decided to not to take the breakfast on second day of our visit even we already paid it. Overall the stay is ok. However bathroom is bit smaller and no place to keep our cloths while showering Area is noisy and we were stayed first floor and keep hearing noises from upstair room which disturbs our sleep. Breakfast is not good.We decided to not to take the breakfast on second day of our visit even we already paid it. 1) se oye un ruido a pisadas de madera de la hab de arriba que se torna molesto y me despertó por la mañana. 2) el aire de la habitación está al límite de lo aceptable. Si sos caluroso no te va a gustar. Para nosotros que somos friolentos estuvo bien. No tuvimos calor pero el selector estaba al máximo de frío y no se sentía muy frío. Fuera de eso volvería y lo recomendaría.

Close to the beach. Close to Lincoln. Close to nearly everything. The only disappointment was that the in house bar was closed on Monday and Tuesday. Yet it's adveritzed as being open, with a happy hour, every weekday.

Overall the service and staff were the standouts; very friendly and accommodating and I really liked you could text to request items needed for the room. It is a boutique hotel so on the smaller side but the king room had adequate space.

Absolutely lived our stay. The many positives include the location, access to their beach club, the art deco building, and being on the trolley route for sight seeing.

Had to pay an extra $160 “resort” fee when I checked-in even when on Expedia it stated the fees was all inclusive. Didn’t receive any VIP benefits even when the booking said I would.

But the hotel need some investments to keep the status of "a good hotel near the beach". We talk with others custumers from the hotel who came for rhe first time, and they didn't enjoy their stay because of this...

The location was perfect for what we were doing and the hotel is charming. We did not get to the pool or amenities but we enjoyed our stay and will go back.

I was very happy with the San Juan especially for the price I paid. Its location is perfect. The room was large and very clean. My only complaint was that the thermostat in my room didn't work so I had to ask them to turn off the AC completely because it was too cold. But afterwards it was comfortable. Overall, I don't think there are better options on South Beach at this price point.

I liked that this hotel has a pool(not heated) a bar and cafe. They also provide 2 beach chairs and umbrella during your stay. The beach is a short walk across the street. The room was spacious and clean. I enjoyed the proximity of the hotel, everything is within walking distance. I would definitely stay again.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the San Juan Hotel in Miami from December 30th to January 2nd! The hotel provided a perfect combination of comfort, style, and hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the city. One of the highlights was definitely the delicious mojitos – they were absolutely perfect! We couldn’t get enough of them. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Miami and will definitely be returning in the future!

We had an incredible stay with little kids. It was quick walking distance to Lincoln and the beach. We will definitely consider returning for the future! Thank you for being so accomodating for us as well.

Location is perfect, beach chairs service is great. Very convenient with young children who can’t walk for long (walk to the beach/ restaurant is maybe 3 minutes) But the hotel itself is pretty old, Room is less good than average hotel room. Small basic walk in shower, the bed felt too soft and mattress keeps moving out of the frame.. But for this price, in the high holidays season- was okay

Unfortunately the room directly above us had a drunk people that never stopped making a lot of noise until 11:45 PM and then again from 2:30 AM to 4:00 AM. We complained several times to front desk but the noise never stopped. We paid a lot of money to stay in this hotel but could not sleep at all. We feel that not enough was done to help us. I had to literally go in person to talk to front desk at 2:30 AM and the noise continued. I would not return or recommend this hotel again. Also the front area unfortunately smells like sewage because the bathroom located at the entrance area keeps overflowing after guests use it. Just during the time we were there we noticed it happening twice. Really sad as we use to like this place.

The location of the hotel was extremely convenient to shops, beach, and restaurants! The staff service was excellent and would come back again! The room was a bit small but the excellent service and great location made up for it!

Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. However, I did find the room a bit too cold for my liking. Even after adjusting the thermostat, it remained colder than I would have preferred. Despite the temperature issue, the excellent customer service and attention to detail made the stay memorable.

The staff was amazing, but the hotel itself is not what is pictured. The rooms are very small and so are the beds. Especially for queen size beds. There was no room to really move comfortably. The shower took forever to get hot and it was very inconvenient. When you go for check in you have to pay a $42.18 RESORT FEE!! And on top of that $45 FOR PARKING!! At that point I should’ve stayed at a better hotel and got more included.

The room had a funny smell , shower water wasn’t so good temperature was not good. It was freezing in the room.

Im assuming their from people Who’ve never been to an actual nice hotel before. Well you’re surely missing out!! All night long you can hear people banging above you. Our door looked like someone had tried to open it prior with a knife it was all messed up I actually took pics, it was pretty bad! I felt unsafe at night but during the day it was okay! It seems a little ghetto! Definitely not for kids! Some guy was outside asking us if we wanted to buy drugs right in front of my 6 year old it was very uncomfortable! Ghetto people smoking w33d right on there front steps, it’s literally mind blowing. You’re right next door to a liquor store so it’s pretty ghetto and sketchy! I wouldn’t say family friendly at all!!! Looks like a place you bring a one night stand for a night. Lesson learned to not cheap out lol south beach in general has gone down hill it seems. that’s not the same south beach i remember 17 years ago. Very sad

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Rooms were neat and clean. Pool is on the small side, but very peaceful/pretty area with lots of birds and plants. Lobby area is comfy and all areas were clean. The shower head in our room needed attention as it was leaky. The cafe at the pool was reasonable and had nice breakfast. Restaurants in the area can be pricey so this was a good option. The location it great, short walk to beach and having access to lounge chairs and umbrella was WONDERFUL. I'd like to stay here again, lots to do.
