    The one of a kind lobby, with its cozy seating nooks scattered throughout The Sunny, was refreshing, homey, and comfortable. Whether you were playing games with your family, relaxing with a book, or even hosting your podcast, there was a perfect space to enjoy. Learning the story of the lovebirds and being greeting them with the daily “hello” and “goodnight” was an unexpected and charming bonus. The pool and beach areas were clean, beautifully maintained, and offered a wonderful atmosphere with plenty of loungers and cabanas. The outdoor bar served delicious drinks and food, making it easy to spend the entire day enjoying the sunshine by the pool or the ocean. The restaurant was delightful. Dining outside while gazing at the ocean and watching the palm trees dance in the breeze created the perfect setting. The food was delicious, offering creative twists on breakfast favorites without being overpriced. We truly loved our stay and can’t wait to return to The Sunny!

    We had such an amazing trip at The Sunny! Every single staff member, from the front desk to the pool, was super helpful, welcoming, and gracious. Jennifer at the front desk was especially committed to the guest experience! The rooms are beautifully updated and our oceanfront view was amazing. With sargassum impacting the beach front, we opted to spend our days at the pool and it was perfect. The food options, though pricey (including an automatic 20% service charge, plus an entry/expectation of additional tip) were very yummy and well portioned. The staff members at the cafe inside the lobby were also great. Location is very nice and close to a lot of food options. We can’t wait to return!

    The staff is amazing. Especially Robert and Ashley. We would like to suggest that the restaurant open up all day and maintain the wonderful menu that is offered in the evening. The menu is smaller, but everything is excellent! The cinnamon rolls are fantastic for the breakfast menu. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience. We will be back.

    The hotel is nice but still trying to open up. Restaurant (off property on the pier) staff are slow or ignore you. Cleaning staff scowl and are slow (asked for room to be ready for 1pm and they hadn't touched it) but do a good job. Front desk is good to deal with and valet is excellent. Overall was nice and will be great when fully open and no construction on going.

    Location, amenities, beach, pool area, room - everything 10 of 10. 100% will stay in this hotel again. Amazing friendly staff. Big new renovated room with an upgraded shower room with premium brand shower products. Literally just bring your self, swimming suits and good vibes. Private and safe parking lot on the territory, you won't wait long for the car to bring it to you. Recommend this facility who travel with kids as well as who travel with friends. Everything was amazing. No cons.

    I loved the beautiful lobby, our room with beach view, Jolene restaurant, pool side bar with menu (to eat poolside), we enjoyed the pier with a bar and restaurant, the hotel is right on the beach too, and they gave my daughter the cutest Birthday treat! Everyone who works there were so kind and the rooms are super clean and new. Oh, let me not forget how comfortable the beds and pillows are! I slept like a newborn baby! We will be back, thank you all for your exceptional service.

    We enjoyed our staycation at this location. Walking distance to some great restaurants. The food at the hotel was great as well. Staff were helpful and polite. We traveled with a 1 year old and it was very comfortable. The crib worked out great. Would recommend and stay here again

    Our overall experience was enjoyable. We had an ocean view room that did not disappoint with the view! Every staff member we encountered was very friendly. My main dislike is that the property can be used with a resort pass. As this isn't a large resort, we were super disappointed that the pool was at max capacity by 12 on Saturday. There was seating at the beach but we were told it's a $35 fee for an umbrella. We are already paying a $50 daily resort fee and thought that if you are staying there, there should not be a charge. Later than evening as we were waiting for your car, all we saw was piles of people leaving that had spent the day there. I never thought that we wouldn't be able to use the pool at a resort we paid to stay at. The location on Sunny Isles Beach was very nice.

    I will never stay at this property again. Staff is rude and very unprofessional. From the check in to the valet this place is poorly ran. I highly do not recommend. My towel rack falling off the wall and the paint chipping off was just the start of the disaster that was my stay. I travel all the time and this place I would never again. Dogs barking at night on my floor the list goes on.

    Room was newly renovated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pricey but good in the hotel. One thing to take note, the hotel allows non-guests to purchase a day pass to use their facilities. The pool was very crowded over the holiday weekend with a majority of the pool facilities being used by non-hotel guests as indicated by their red wrist bands. Would return on future stays.

    The views were incredible, and the access to the beach was amazing!     The valet lost our car keys and we were stuck at the hotel for 6 hours as they decided to still try to call a locksmith. Although, we told them it will not work as it is a fog key that needs to be specially programmed by the dealer. With it being a holiday, dealership is closed.

    The property was beautiful, and the bed was comfortable. They had a nice big tv which I enjoyed. Some of the streaming they offer is Pluto, Netflix, and Tubi. The staff was very helpful. There is no iron or ironing board but other than that it was great (they provide a steamer). I will definitely come again. .

    The housekeeping were not that clean, the floor room was not clean which made my feet dirty and mess up the bed sheets, It was very obvious that the bed sheets were dirty but they never changed them. They didn’t replace the cups where I used for juice with clean one. I just don’t understand why I paid that much of money for this Hotel.

    A few issues once we checked in but notified the front desk and all issues were corrected first thing the next morning and we were compensated for our issues. Had an amazing ocean view with a balcony (the furniture was a little uncomfortable). It is a great place for a weekend getaway we will definitely be returning.

    Don’t book this property with Expedia.. The Sunny Hotel will not tell you until you arrive that they have transferred you into a different hotel .. and then you have no choice but to except or you’ll be stuck with no place to stay … they do not except 3rd party bookings

    I wish I could tell you how my stay was however, they bumped us to a different hotel without warning just 2 days before check in. We’ve had this reservation for months and because they haven’t finished their renovations they moved us and merely sent us an email stating our reservation would be honored at a different hotel. The rest of my family did not get this message so we had to stay at separate hotels. When I called to speak to someone they gave me a generic answer rather than telling me they could check on it or anything like that. At the end of the day I’m glad we got bumped because the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort was way better! I’d give them 5 stars any day. I will never be booking with The Sunny again. Thanks to their incompetence I found a way better resort!

    Beautiful lobby that smelled very good. The room was pretty and clean. The balcony was a little deceiving in photos it was pretty small and not comfortable to sit out there. Pool area was nice. Juliene restaurant on property for breakfast was ok, the food was good but service very slow. Overall it met expectations and the pool/view made it worth it.

    Beautiful beachfront resort, friendly accommodating staff, super clean, intimate feeling, very family oriented, would definitely go back! We didn’t like that the umbrella wasn’t included on the beach and even though we checked in 3 people Into our room and everyone had to pay resort fee, there was only two beach loungers included per room. Also, online it is advertised that bicycles are available, however when we asked, nobody knew about the bikes. Construction was happening which was heard at times, but it didn’t other me all too much.

We didn’t like that the umbrella wasn’t included on the beach and even though we checked in 3 people Into our room and everyone had to pay resort fee, there was only two beach loungers included per room. Also, online it is advertised that bicycles are available, however when we asked, nobody knew about the bikes. Construction was happening which was heard at times, but it didn’t other me all too much.

    I rarely ever write reviews and travel all the time. The amount of investment that went into this property and what they’ve done with it is mind blowing!!! Every aspect was 5 Diamond (not star). We will be going back again and again. From valet to all staff they were over the top. They have about 4-5 floors open now and are renovating all the old rooms! Don’t let any bad reviews fool you as this place is AWESOME!!!!!

    I could not sleep the whole night because the vanity mirror would not go off talk about not resting all night and having no sleep. I call the front desk they sent the technician and he said he can’t turn it off I went in the morning and let the manager know she smiled and said yes it’s not supposed to turn off worst night would not ever visit this hotel again

    We stayed at The Sunny for 2 days prior to a cruise. We ere pleasantly surprised to get upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite when we arrived. Everything was very clean and the beach and pool were lovely! The food at the Love bird cafe was very pricey so I would advise going somewhere else for food. There was still construction going on, on the lower levels but it didn’t bother us at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

    This property is not prepared for guests yet. There is no reason to charge a resort fee for a “resort” with absolutely no amenities. There is only a cafe that has 10$ coffees and a few pre made fast food options. No matter how many people you are, you only are allowed two beach chairs. The menu on the website is the small menu at the pier restaurant, the property itself does not have a restaurant. Staff is not helpful or knowledgeable. Have multiple charges on my credit card that make no sense. This place has a long way to go. Not to mention, the noise of construction is very annoying. This place should figure it all out, close, and open again when it’s ready.

    The $23 drinks are disgusting, half-full and are mostly ice. There are very minimal food options at the pool bar and they are all $20. The barbecue is gone, they basically have salad/chips/sushi. The pier restaurant has terrible tasting food and the service is awful. They advertise 4 restaurants, but there is only one actual functioning restaurant on site which is the pier restaurant. The umbrellas at the beach are $30 and very small. The couches at the pool are $250 and the sun is gone at the pool by 1pm. The gym is not open, but you get access to the one across the street which is pretty decent. Every ice machine is broken, no room service available. Overall, this place is now ruined since Hilton purchased it. Stupidly overpriced and zero amenities to back it up. We were also given the wrong room upon check-in, very embarrassing. The girl at the desk did not care that this occurred whatsoever. 20% gratuity is also added to everything and they don’t tell you that.. so beware. Ya, this place now sucks so don’t book it.

    Property was under very loud construction, making it impossible to sleep or work in the room past 8 AM. The gym was also under construction and unavailable. The walls were super thin, such that we could hear every word of conversations in the next room. Restaurant and food service was extremely limited. And to top it off, paid extra for an Ocean view room, yet the main view was of the parking structure next door - coincidentally also under construction. This hotel is just not ready for occupancy. It should not be accepting bookings until it is.

    I am currently still here because I got snowed out of nyc during the blizzard. I have literally no complaints about this hotel at all except for a few small things. There are really no places to hang towels in the bathroom, or a shelf or anywhere to put your shampoo in the showers. Other then that the hotel is very cute and clean. The staff is friendly. They give got free unlimited waters at the front desk. There is food lacking but there are tons of restaurants walking distance, as well as a cvs and a supermarket. You can uber anywhere as well. I would return for a cheap stay in Miami as everywhere else to stay is $$$$$$

    While the rooms are comfortable. I was told I had a $100 for each room i booked in food credit ( we booked two rooms) so naturally as anyone would do, we made sure to spend that credit. When I checked out the next day this wasn’t the case and they told me I didn’t actually have that credit. Never in the hundreds of hotels I have stayed in was I told a certain amenity or extra was included, used it and then it was rescinded. This is just bad professionalism, felt a bit like a scam and left a bad taste in my mouth for a hotel that treats their guests like this

    The room is all new and clean. They are in the middle of refurbishing the hotel. However, they are making some mistakes with the new design. The new design of the shower leaves a gap between the doors and water gets out to the floor. There are loose pipes inside the bathroom wall that make banging noises at all hours. They have decided not to have microwaves in the room. There is a space inside the TV stand that appears it may hold a mini fridge at some point, but there was not one while I was there. They have restaurants that I did not use, because there are many restaurants, walking distance, in the mall across the street. Also, there is a CVS and grocery store in the mall. They have a great swimming pool, and the beach is right out the back doors. The actual main reason I was there, was for the Haulover Beach nude beach that is only a one mile walk from the hotel.

    Shortly after check-in, we had a scary experience in the elevator. The elevator stopped and we were stuck for 30+ minutes with no power—no ability to call, and no movement. It honestly triggered my biggest fear. When we finally got out, no one followed up with us or checked in, which felt really surprising after something like that. We tried to reset by heading to the pool area. Since it was raining, a kind server offered to take our order so we could calm down and eat (thank you!). After ordering, two staff members approached us and told us we had to move because a wedding rehearsal was about to take place there. We stayed, informed our server, and finished our meal—but being asked to move like that after the elevator incident was frustrating. We asked to be moved to a lower floor because I didn’t feel comfortable getting back in the elevator. We were told it wasn’t possible. Construction was also happening, and while I own a resort so I understand renovations firsthand, our room should not have been occupied by guests during that level of noise. We couldn’t even take a nap—the noise was all around us. I want to give major recognition to Adam—he was a HUGE help throughout our stay and truly did everything he could.     We arrived in the middle of a renovation. The staff was pleased to tell us we were the first people to stay in one of the newly renovated room on 8. The effect of that was strong paint fumes, a toilet that leaked all night and a shower that leaked in the morning. Where the ice and water machine was indicated was a alcove stubbed out for plumbing and electrical. The room was large, pleasant and well-decorated with a great ocean view. The staff was courteous and friendly. The entrance, lobby, and pool/beach area was resort-quality. I never found the four restaurants advertised on Expedia. There was a breakfast pastry kiosk on the property. For dining we were directed to an off-property restaurant with a great view and a limited, over-priced, low-quality menu. You conspired with Expedia to bury charges. Expedia proudly claims the price they show is the price you pay. At checkout, the clerk informed me he would be collecting and additional $56 "resort fee." I asked about that and he said if I checked the Expedia page, in small letters on the bottom right was a note that added, "$50 dollar fee collected on sight." A business that operates without integrity in that manner is enough to be a deal-breaker for me forever. It will be a nice place when fixed up, but you are not offering something so wonderful and rare that it can't be found elsewhere.

    The pool and the beach were extremely convenient, and we spent most of our 3-day trip relaxing in both areas. I understand the need for the hotel to upcharge extras (umbrellas; cabanas; extra-cushy seats) although I'd suggest making it clearer that those aren't free. The hotel staff had to keep approaching people to tell them to get off the special seats, and it was clear that the guests didn't realize it was an extra cost. Slightly awkward. We enjoyed the fact that we could cross the street and eat at a wide array of very close, non-touristy, reasonably-priced restaurants. The orange juice in the lobby was a very nice tough and on brand. Of course, the best part was that The Sunny was 70 degrees warmer than back home! Thanks for a nice winter getaway!

    Lobby, beds were comfortable. Room size, my fav was the bathroom lighting, the gold Kohler fixtures, the handheld and ceiling showerhead options, the pressure was great, the water got hot, the pool and beach were perfect.Walkable to many stores and food options, cvs Walgreens Starbucks you name it it was across the street. I did not want to leave. Staff was friendly and went out of their way ro help and did it with a smile and genuinely. The valet was fast and friendly. The hotel gave a free pass to a nice gym across the street and I had the best workouts ive ever had while on vacation. Their gym is not quite open yet. The lobby bathrooms were beautiful too. I really really hope they can maintain the newness, the freshness and the niceness of this newly refurbished hotel in the years to come so it will not become another one of the hotel chains who are charging thousands a week for old dirty outdated rooms. This place is amazing and I will come back!! I didnt like CARPET in our room! Its a brand new room and I was surprised to see a carpet for flooring. It was stained and the floor beneath it was uneven and hard, there was no padding below the carpet. The housekeeping could be a bit more detailed and leave regular coffee(i had 4 pwcks of decaf and no reg and also no creamer and 2 sugars) and clean the bathroom floors and glass doors but otherwise they were wonderful. All I had to do was call down and they fulfilled the request quickly. Also sheets were scratchy. I wore full pj's to bed as to not feel the sheets scratching my skin. These are just picky things so did not detract from my 5 star review bc everything else was amazing and completely worth the high price to stay on the beach.

    Front desk and valet were accommodating. -able to obtain a late check out and early check in. -stored our rented bikes. (They were supposed to have some on site but helped set up a rental) Food by pool/beach was great! The drinks were a bit overpriced though. Renovated rooms were very nice- I’d suggest fitted sheets in the future though. Great bath products. Would have loved if the Reno’s included a hot tub. Only 3-4 of the top floors are completed but you don’t feel the Reno’s on other floors at all. They do a good job of making it feel quite done. I’ll be curious how busy the pool/beach gets when all floors are occupied. We stayed for a week at a great price and overall had an amazing time there and would come back.

    Great staff, great service. Rooms and lobby are newly remodeled but that's it, everything else is old but in decent condition. Elevators were old, slow, and dirty. The rooms are very nice, with nice looking new fixtures and such but the craftsmanship of the remodel was cheap, and poorly executed. Painted over anything and everything, painted over door hinges and the grease on the hinges, don't look closely at the remodel and you'll be fine. After a few months it will get beat up quickly. Very nice location, beach was awesome and very nice pool. Only 3 of the 11 floors were open so it wasn't crowded. Once all the floors are finished, the pool area will be way too small for all the guests, will be crazy crowded. We got a great deal, was a great stay but will be different in the coming months.

    Our stay at The Sunny was wonderful! The rooms and facilities are brand new (you can almost smell the fresh paint) and there were many thoughtful touches (like fresh orange juice in the lobby) that made our stay truly memorable. The staff goes above and beyond to be accommodating/ especially the pool / beach staff. Ein brought tubes and boogie boards for my kids and spent extra time ensuring my kids had all they needed so we could all enjoy the day. Would definitely stay again!!

    We did not have any indication prior to booking that the hotel is under renovation. There was construction noise and we were unable to rest during the day. No ice makers on any of the floors. The pullout required maintenance staff to “unwrap” when we arrived exhausted and late. It had no bedding. No refrigerator in room, I had to request it and our food went bad. In addition, I understand this was an ocean view room but the direct view from the balcony is that of construction and noise (again) on the high rise. I would not have booked here had these issues been apparent. On a positive note, the staff, in particular the lobby staff, are very nice.

    The staff was incredibly friendly—from the front desk, to the room attendants. Everyone was helpful and genuine, which I felt was unusual as you’d expect someone to be having a bad day, but that was not the case. Everyone was happy and excited to assist. The remodel was gorgeous, and the lobby had me wandering around looking at all the details and beautiful artwork. The complimentary fresh-squeezed Florida OJ was a very nice touch in the lobby too. Obviously, the pier was fun to walk on, but unfortunately, I came on the coldest weekend and wasn’t able to use the pool, beach, or outdoor amenities. The room was very comfortable and beautiful as well. My only two complaints are that the hot water pipes ran right behind my room and rattled both nights, but luckily, I was able to sleep better the second night. The second issue was that the motion light detector kept going on and off unnecessarily in the front hall and bathroom. Luckily, I was able to fix it with a piece of painter’s tape, but both issues were not solvable at the moment by the engineer but said would be addressed after I checked out. Overall, I’d give a 9.3 out of 10 and would highly recommend it and would absolutely stay again.

    The positives bed was comfy. Room was nice. The lobby was beautiful, the cafe was great. The girls at cafe were awesome. The robes in room were a nice touch. Hopefully, they work out the kinks. I wont stay here ever again. After, them trying to put four grand on my credit card. The elevators only 2 were working. Went to swim could not locate were to retreive towels. Restaurant not open yet. The one open not a great selection. They should have waited before letting guests stay.

    Nettes Hotel aber noch Hälfte in Renovierung Phase. Viel Lärm ab 08.00 Morgens. Daneben wird auch ein Gebäude renoviert. Das Hotel ist super. Guter Pool und Strand. Ich denke bis Juni 2026 geht noch die Renovierung. Ansonsten ist es klasse.

    This hotel is worth going!! BRAND NEW SPOTLESS CLEAN HOTEL!! As we checked in the hotel we got some fresh squeezed orange juice and extra nice staff! Rooms are so nice and lobby is incredible gorgeous with every kind of detail it may have such as games and books! Pool is gorgeous and excellent service! As well as beech with beach chairs towels and all u need! worth every penny!

    The beach was stunning, and having a balcony to wake up in the morning and listen to the ocean was incredibly relaxing—it honestly felt like a dream. The hotel is currently remodeling some areas, and I’m really looking forward to going back and experiencing the spaces that weren’t quite ready yet, like the restaurant in the main hall. Overall, the entire experience was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would absolutely go back

    Spent my birthday there with my family. The Sunny is a VIBE. Excellent service from the staff from the moment you enter the stylish, freshly renovated digs. We enjoyed meeting the staff Kelly, Noelia and Kiora. The food and drinks are excellent. Great stay for people of all ages!

    We booked our stay online thru Expedia in July. We arrived at 10 pm the day of our check in to be met at the door with the owner telling us they are closed due to a fire three months ago. We dispute the charges with Expedia and the Sunny refused to refund our money (according to) expedia. I am upset with Expedia as well. Had to call my credit card company and dispute the charges the lady with credit card company was appalled at the failure all the way around as well as we were
