My experience at this property was extremely disappointing. The photos were misleading, not a hotel it’s a hostel. For over $200 a night on Expedia, I expected a clean, comfortable stay—this was the opposite. The room was dirty, the bed was uncomfortable, and the noise level was so bad that the front desk actually hands out earplugs. The TV didn’t work, and despite asking several times, we never received a remote. The A/C barely functioned, the elevator felt unsafe, and the stairwell was filthy. To make things worse, I was charged $12 for two warm cans of soda. This was my first trip to Miami, and this hotel made the experience far worse than it should have been. Expedia should represent this property more accurately.

The hostel has a fantastic location—very close to the beach and surrounded by numerous restaurants and markets. At the entrance, there is coffee available until noon, along with a constant supply of hot water and drinking water. All the reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; Thomas and Joao, in particular, resolved any issues and offered excellent solutions—thank you! -The price is get doubled in weekend -they dont have a kitchen to cook -The AC is working loudly during the night

Everything the staff was friendly, a lot of activities to do, the location was beautiful Only thing is maybe making a noise curfew for inside of the rooms we had one guy that annoyed everyone in the room because he was on the phone all night while we were trying to sleep and then slept all day

The people who are working for the hostel are really nice. The cleaners great with a smile and the people on the service desk trait you with a smile :) The beds are really good! I also like the work area with good airco. It is also super nice that it is connected to the restaurant. One of my favorite hostels so far! The swimming pool is awesome, only it would be nice if it open earlier then 10am. And their is a loud noise coming from the building next to the hostel. The hostel cant help that but I switched room because it was too loud in my room. Thomas was really willing to help me, thanks!

The location was excellent, just a short walk from the beach, restaurants, and nightlife. The staff were friendly, and the hostel had a fun, social vibe that made it easy to meet people from around the world. The rooms were a little small, and the music from nearby bars could be heard at night, but it didn’t significantly affect my stay.

The upgraded private room was clean but would dox a point for the clogged toilet. The furniture in the lobby needed deep cleaning. The staff were alright could be friendlier it felt forced or you had to initiate at times.

Was a great experience. Met people from all over the world. Came for the military air show so there was plenty to do and talk about. Super cool and helpful staff.

Good location Avoid the 10 person dorm. There were people constantly wanting and exiting the room throughout the entire night, which made sleeping completely impossible (even with earplugs and an eye mask).

The entire property was very clean. I stayed for a week and the entire time the staff was very helpful and friendly. The air conditioning in the room was great.

AC and power was not working and immediately I requested a refund to stay at a different place. Upon speaking to the front, they agreed to issue me a refund (which after a WEEK they haven’t approved and issued it yet as I may not even get this back) Much better places in Miami to stay than this.

The location is fantastic! Small pool and things seemed decently clean. Room had a smelly person in it so i guess be prepared for that possibility. But the worst was the AC shutting off randomly early in the morning and waking up in sweat!!!

I stayed at Viajero Miami in a shared room with 5 other girls. It was my first time staying in a hostel, but I chose it because of the extremely good price. You should know that roommates may come back in the middle of the night — everyone was quiet and respectful, but of course it is not as peaceful as staying alone in a private room. I really liked the location, the morning coffee, and especially the affordable price. Overall, it was a good experience for budget travelers who want to stay in a great area of Miami. One thing I didn’t like was the organization regarding the Everglades trip. I asked several times for information. At check-in they told me I needed to be ready at 7:30 in the morning, but when I came there they said no, come back at 10:00. In the end, I spent almost half of the day waiting around the hotel for information and finally left at 12:30. They could have simply told me from the beginning that the tourist agency organizing the trip was only a 10-minute walk away.

Excellently located. The beds are big and comfortable. The people at front desk are helpful and friendly. There is a whatsapp group with daily activities that i strongly encourage everyone to register to. The day i checked in there was someone in the bed assigned to me. No biggie, was resolved shortly (mind you it was 1 am). 3 days later i come back from the beach and someone accuses me of being on their bed. Yes, they assigned someone the bed i was using. I had not moved, so i dont know what happened. The conflict created was unnecessary. Apart from that, being a hostel i expected more from their dedicated "kitchen" area. They call it a "library", it is on the 1st floor, and has a bunch of tables and a microwave. And that's it. No utensils, no sink to wash vegetables or get yourself water for some instant noodles, no kettle (there is one in the lobby, so one floor below, and you still need to ask front desk to get you water). Also the fridge could use some cleanup. They say they clean every friday but that was not the case while i was there. On my last day May 8th i threw away smelly containers with date best before April 16th. Disgusting.

Sol was especially helpful with accommodation and friendly staff member here. Staircase was a bit dirty as well as the hallway, but rooms were very clean for value.

One of the best hotspots in the world. Way more amenities than you need makes it an upscale hostel, lol, but slight problem: The room floors can get your feet black, and the bathroom in the three days I was there was never clean. Just don't forget to pack sandals.

The building and the proximity to everything. Most staff were accommodating and there was free coffee in the morning. There was loud music outside until 4 a.m. One of the staff was a little rude and I felt like I was interrupting their conversation whenever I needed something . The pool outside was dirty. The beds were too close together and that’s why there’s partitions. The bar hopping activity was scammy.

The location was prefect! Close to beach and many tourist restaurants. Public transportation is near and easily accessible. Club or bar underneath can be very loud if you are staying on the first floor and want to get an early nights rest.

5 stars for the vibe! Helpful staff and friendly travelers. The bar and pool are a nice touch. Great location. I got a private room, which was not luxurious but it was clean, cool, and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet the room was. I would definitely recommend to a solo traveler!

The only good thing about this place is the location. But man it’s brutal staying here. The area is busy so it’s loud not to mention the symphony of snorers that kept me up. Also there’s just one bathroom that’s shared by everyone in the room so if you really gotta go you have to run downstairs to one.

Ran out of toilet paper in mens room in lobby. Asked front desk for another roll because both toilets were out. She said no, only housekeeping can get that. I asked if she could take one from women's toilet. She said no, all toilets are out of paper. So I went next door to store and bought a roll. Lobby water ran out and the trash was overflowing everywhere. Also shower handle was broken and only cold water came out with almost no pressure. I checked out a day early but had to pay for both days because I used Expedia for reservation.

Check in started at 3pm I had been at the hostel since 9am. At 3pm I went to check in and my room or bed was not ready, they told me it would be ready in 15 mins. When I went back up 15mins later my room/ bed still wasn’t ready. Long story short I didn’t get checked in until 4pm when I got to the room someone was already in my assigned bed so I had to go back down to the lobby to get this sorted out smh.

At all hours of the night, other guests were talking loudly, laughing, yelling, and playing ping-pong in the lobby -- and in the room directly next to mine. At 4:00am one night, I had to go to the front desk to report my extremely loud and disruptive neighbors. Luckily, the gentleman at the front desk did say something to them and they calmed down. Sadly, though, I'd already lost hours of sleep. Directly outside of my window where there was an obnoxiously loud bar scene. And when I walked around barefoot in my room, my feet turned black from the dirty floors. The furniture in the lobby was also worn and dirty. And it was gross to see people sleeping on the furniture in the lobby. The general feel was just dirty and trashy for me. I would return to Miami Beach, but I would never stay at Viajero again. I didn't sleep well for five nights, and now I know why they provide ear plugs at the front desk -- you need them! The staff was cold and unprofessional as well. They look like pot-smoking high school students. The whole scene was just too wild and unprofessional for me. It's possibly good for twenty-year-olds on Spring Break, but not for mature adults.

Excellent location in south beach. So many restaurants and shops available nearby. For the price, I wasn’t expecting it to be amazing. It was still a nice hostel. The staff was amazing and there were activities available for people to do if you wanted to. Overall, I would stay here again

In terms of a hostel experience, this seemed to be a good one. However, when I booked through expedia I had no idea that was the case so did not know it would be loud, basic, and dorm style. The value for one night was fine, but personally would not stay again.

The pool area was really fun but somewhat dirty. Fun vibe with adjacent bar. Youthful and international. Great affordable spot if you’re visiting the area and looking for active environment. Smoked a cigar on the pool deck while drinking a beer and didn’t have someone hovering over me to enforce rules. Right in the middle of S. Beach action. Bare bones room that was clean.

Staff however were terrible and communication between them and the housekeeping and other workers seemingly non existent. If you’re not dealing with the exact same person each time you make inquiries or ask for something forget avout anything being done. They also really need to work on their English, only two of the staff are able to communicate well in English.

It would be wonderful to see the couches cleaned in the lobby, the light bulbs replaced in the balcony , and some care in the carpet on stairs (very dirty). Most of the staff is very friendly. The location can’t be beat though! The shared rooms weren’t as clean as I would however that is the fault of the guests, not the property. Perhaps my only complaint is the ends need their own power plug vs a regular wall plug that is too far from the bed.

COLD SHOWER! I like this property, but the rooms need to be cleaned better and the shower was sooo cold. I would rather spend more to go somewhere with hot water. I bet if I went and checked the water temp with a thermostat it would be way below what they advertise.

There's a few museums, etc you can see in 1 day but that's really it 3) Right around the corner there is a super cheap $11-13 plate from Cuba Cafe, a Burger King, and a Walgreens down the street - you should get your groceries here everywhere else even the "markets" around the area are absurdly expensive ($7 - 9 / gallon milk). You will need these because 4) The kitchen is a bit misrepresented. There is a microwave and a fridge / freezer combo. But, there is no sink, real cooking, etc. The "library" is where all of these are located which is a bit odd since it's meant to be the working space (phone / work calls, laptop users, ...) while people are constantly heating food up, storing it, etc which makes it a bit chaotic This was probably the worst part of the stay since I booked the hsotel thinking I would be able to make my own meals However, it panned out since 1) Walgreens had a bunch of cheap heat up meals and 2) the Cuba Cafe is super cheap. WARNING Do not stay at Viajero Miami Beach I was just falsely accused of having sex with someone and KICKED OUT. I went to bed at 8:30 by myself last night and was falsely accused no proof nothing they refused to show me the tape of somebody walking in with me. Nice large hostel. Clean and comfortable beds and bathroom. They have a group chat and activities for everyone. I didn't stay long enough to do that but it's nice that they have it. Elevator is old though. They have different shared areas so there's different places to hang.

Mi experiencia fue bastante buena, lo único que podría mejorar es que mi habitación era muy calurosa en las mañanas. Fuera de eso, estuvo todo muy bien, la decoración es bonita, las camas son cómodas y las instalaciones en general súper bien. El staff fue muy amable en todo momento, Mica y Alyssa son muy simpáticas y organizaron actividades divertidas, generando espacios para socializar con otros huéspedes. Recomiendo mucho este hostel, sobretodo si viajan solos! Espero volver pronto :)

Outside of waiting on refunds still for the nights I had to actually not enjoy my stay and check out due to work emergencies and being in their same tourism hospitality' business- I am still just waiting on refunds I was promised other then that :/// down fall—- they’re fantastic. Just had to report to my banks now to see what’s going on :(( don’t like being promised something then - having to report it as fraud etc

I like that the property is one block away from the popular Ocean Dr. and the beach. There are a lot of food options in the area. There is hardly any parking out in front of the hostel and good luck finding parking on the street. Staff was nice and got to meet and make friends with other visitors. Nice that the property has activities to keep visitors entertained, the pool party was great. I did not like that the photos online don't show how old and outdated the building really is. Old carpet and floors, base boards, walls and ceiling needs fixing, water damaged areas with rust spots in certain areas. Also there is a confusing sign for drink specials for anyone staying at the property, but these specials are not honored at the bar inside of the building that is 15 feet away from the front desk but the outside bar downstairs near the pool in a corner where you won't see it if you're not actively searching for it.

Nice staff, clean rooms, and great amenities for the price! Would definitely stay here again. They had a cool DJ and really cool speakeasy bar that’s voted one of the top speakeasy bars!

I had a good time there. My room had an amazing view. It was social and I met a lot of new people but I would’ve preferred it was a little more social because some activities didn’t have too many participants.

The elevator did not work so I had to carry my luggage up 2 flights of stairs. Otherwise very clean hotel.

Had an unpleasant experience with the staff. I’ve stayed at the hostel before and had a great a stay and the staff were great however this time while at the I was in the lobby on a call where many guests hang out as a common space with the available couches, on the seventh day of my stay. While on the phone I was approached by one of the front desk staff and asked if I am staying at the hotel, I confirmed I was and was told I required a green wrist band, at this point none of the other 15 guests in the lobby had wrist bands, neither had any other guests throughout the 7 days had wrist bands. The staff member then asked me to come over to the desk in order to confirm my name and room number. I did what was asked of me and she put a wrist bands on me. The staff member then stayed behind the desk and continued with her work. After 2 mins I asked how come she wasn’t approaching the other guests in the lobby regarding the wrist bands. After hesitating she replied “Oh yes” and walked over to the other guests in lobby and started putting wristbands on them, she asked for their name and room number but did not ask them to come over to the computer to verify the details as she had me. She put the wristbands on 10 guests or so and made her way back to the desk, which I was standing close by. As she approached the desk I enquired with her as to how come I was singled out for the obviously different treatment I had received. The staff member said that guests were to wear bands, at this

- Easy check-in process. - Hostel has events planned for each day. - Close to South beach and Air show. Now the negatives: - Very expense parking even in the city garage. - The AC was not working properly in room and all of my roommates complained of the heat. - The room suffered minor flooding due to a burst pipe and water soaked some of our stuff.

This is the place to stay in Miami as a traveler. I have been to uncountable hostels all over the world and Viajero Miami will always see my face again for another check in. The receptionist BECCA welcomed me with a warm smile and her kindness and helpfulness will always be appreciated. The amenities and location are top and will enhance your good times in Miami.

The hostel is average, it only worth the price as it is situated in Miami. The room was very spacious but that's it. The AC was Very LOUD, like a truck turning on everytime it turned on. The lift was broken so people was using the stairs doors, so everytime it closed it looked like it was inside our bedroom.

AND SOUND PROOF EVEN WITH AWESOME DJ OUTSIDE. MODERN SHOWERS. I WOULD PAD THE LADDER HOWEVER... BUT AWESOME FOR SOUTH BEACH!

The bathroom was completely filthy. Literally had blood all over the walls and all over the shower. Completely disgusting.

The property was close to restaurants, the beach and shopping. The staff was great. The room was clean. Parking was only one and a half blocks away. The only thing i didn't like was that there was an odd smell in the hallway of the 4th floor.

Noise wasn’t too bad but if you’re on a business trip I wouldn’t stay here- people of all ages for sure but mostly those up for a good party. If I were only 20 years younger… ha! All in all great stay for a single female looking for a cheap room in the heart of downtown.

There is a bar and a pool, but when all the windows/doors are closed (there was an AC in the dorm so it wasn’t hot at all) you can’t hear anything and can sleep peacefully. Overall a pleasant stay :)

Toilets were extremely dirty and clogged. The hostel did not have required amenities, in a shared dorm of 6 people they had 1 power socket on the wall, very far from bunk beds.

If there’s one area for improvement, it would be the cleaning in the room and perhaps a warmer, cleaner pool. Other than that, everything was fantastic! Thank you, everyone!

I have stayed here several times and love it. It’s in the heart of South Beach, walkable to everything, beach, restaurants, nightclubs, and shopping, A perfect stay before or after any cruise from Miami.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in one of the more hotel-like rooms with a queen bed and private bath. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable, and enjoyed the updated bathroom. We really enjoyed the rum bar and pool area. The location near the beach and in the heart of South Beach was fantastic.We would definitely stsy here again. The only slight disappointment was that there were no laundry facilities as we were on an extended trip.

The Argentine staff are all cool. Kudos to them. I have no regrets. It worths the money.

The price was affordable but the site I booked it on made it seem like it was a hotel rather than the HOSTEL it actually now is. The lobby was a riot of colors and patterns that was not appealing to me. I liked the bathroom inmy room.

They advertise a pool but it's basically an oversized bath tub. They also need a lounge or TV room instead of us just hanging out in the lobby. Location price and staff were the good things

OfCourse this was a hostile and not a premium hotel, as expected the rooms were very basic, no bathtub, and very basic furniture. however, the room was clean. My biggest grief with the room is that the shower floor was very slippery, one day someone will defiantly twist a knee or fall down and hurt their neck/head. a quick fix would be to install bathmats in all the rooms or redo the showers with a grippier floor. The hallway carpets did seem to be worn-down. My over all opinion is YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, this facility was the most affordable in the area for a reason, if you want a fancy room this place is not for you but be prepared to spend $100-200 more per night. Personally I'll be back, I'd rather spend my money on entertainment rather than sleeping hopefully they will take my comment about shower floors seriously and make some sort of improvement.

Service really good. But this is actually a hostel, paying additional 28usd "resort fee" although the hotel is located between streets. The room we got had a shaded window so we couldn't see outside and the window was very dirty. And all this for almost 300usd per night. Not a good experience. Hotel advertises cheap drinks, but when you get to the bar we ordered a beer and it was 22 USD !

There was a drunk/on drugs girl checked into my room at 1210am who proceeded to be loud and then scream in sleep so I Complained 3 times up until 3am when nothing was done I had to sleep in my car just to get 2 hours of sleep, she was removed later that morning. Then the next two nights the fire alarms continued to go off repeatedly and guests were banging on doors and screaming. I asked for a different room and they said no and then I asked for a refund and did not receive one.

It’s extremely loud. The front desk offers earplugs which is the smartest thing I’ve seen in a long time. The furniture in the lobby desperately needs to be cleaned along with the carpets. The room was clean thankfully. The king bed has a queen headboard which I found hysterical. The bed is SUPER hard. Because of the noise and extremely hard bed, I found it next to impossible to sleep. The pool doesn’t open until 10am which was also disappointing.

the carpeted stairs are pretty dingy, unsightly. but the hostel room was good, so was the staff.

The showers could do with more pressure, and that is the only minor thing, otherwise definitely one of the better hostels in Miami. The location is key.

The hostel is located at the safe and convenient area, I loved that they have private curtains for privacy and kept the place clean with the large amount of people visiting every day. I will definitely return again

Decent hostel for the price

As for services, they give you a towel, soap, shampoo, and everything. The bathroom mat can get wet soon, maybe they should give a couple. The beds have a little tent, USB chargers and lights. The lockers are big (bring your own lock). They have a library/room with 2 refrigeretors and a microwave. The fridges were barely sufficient for all the people, I would add another one or put bigger ones. But ultimately you can make it work. There is also a terrace, a restaurant, an inside bar, a speakeasy for late night, an outside area with two small pools and another super cool bar outside (shout out for Nate here). This hostel is the most expensive in South Beach, but it's defenitely the best in the area, don't even consider the other ones that pop up. You may look into Generator/ Freehand. They're good, but they are in Mid Beach. South Beach is the best. There's nothing in Mid Beach. And I'm not even a "party guy". Recommended.

Not the cleanest Hostel in the world. Why have carpet or furniture if you cannot maintain it clean? Guests are ambivalent to hostel rules. Staff ambivalent to enforcing hostel rules.

Very nice area 2 minutes from the beach and 1 minute from Ocean Drive. Likely the best area in South Beach. Beds were comfortable and felt private. The only downside would be the fact that there is only one restroom for each shared rooms. At times in the morning I had to either wait or have breakfast without brushing my teeth. Other than that, I'll give them a 10 out of 10. Oh, also there is no sink or running water at the kitchen. The kitchen consists of only a fridge and microwave. You can not cook there unless you use a micro.

Safe inexpensive alternative. I am an older traveler who stayed with many young travelers at this hostel with great results. I will travel like this in the future. This or one of those properties in its network is a very god choice if you want to give up some frills to save money.

When we checked in there's resort charge $28 per night, which was not indicated on the booking at all. Also the front desk told us that the room will be clean and change towels everyday, it's not happen at all, we came back after a day out, the room still a mess and no clean towels.

For starters, hotels dot com never mentioned it was a hostel, not a hotel. I was trying to impress my girlfriend and picked it because of its 8.8 rating. That's completely inflated. I just had major ankle surgery and the elevator was broken the entire time. I had to walk up 2 flights of stairs multiple times a day. The towels were old and crunchy. The stair case carpet was stained, but worse yet, the handrail was covered in dirty hand marks. The coffee service was only offered until noon, but even then, it was a 45 minute wait. So much potential, but it's literally falling apart. The bed was very uncomfortable

Viajero is a nice hostel. Convenient place to stay, relax and explore Miami south beach and near by beaches. Miga and Juan in front desk are very helpful and nice. I will be surely coming back here when I plan another trip to Miami Beach.
