We really enjoyed our stay at the Donovan hotel, but probably for reasons different than most. We were visiting family that lives in the area, but wanted a little separation, so decided to book a room nearby. The Donovan was fantastic, as was the staff there. Our room was spacious, the AC was as cold as we wanted it, and we had a full kitchen (although we didn't cook). On my way out, I left my MacBook charger, and the team at the Donovan worked with me to get it back to me. We'll certainly be back next time we're in the area!

Clean room and quiet place

They said they could hold my luggage until I was able to get in the room at 4:00. There isn’t an office on site, so I was lucky that a person cleaning the rooms was able to let me in the locked gate and store my luggage. The room is a basic room, with a double bed. There was a little mold around the edges of the shower floor that should be taken care of. A basic place to stay at a reasonable price for being just a block from the beach and nice park and walkway along the dunes.

That staff were extremely helpful! They give you fresh sheets and clean towels are provided. They offer to give you cleaning whenever it’s convenient. This place is a Gem. A quiet area that is very relaxing and a great price for Miami!

Room was clean. Trolley is right outside the hotel to take you too south Beach and it’s free. Beach is right across from hotel.

Great stay. There is a park one block away attached to the beach which is nice. The beach had space to stretch.. Restaurants are about a 3/4 mile walk, more further on. A little far for someone with disabilities. A free shuttle/bus stops outside the hotel. Parking is tight. There is free overnight parking first left, first right. About $1.25 an hour 8-6. The hotel is quiet. Free laundry and extra towels if needed. You made need your phones flashlight to see the gate key pad if you arrive after dark.

The service exceeded my expectations, and I truly felt relaxed and cared for throughout my stay. Absolutely loved staying here, I felt very secure and the staff were very helpful always messaging and asking me if there was anything I needed etc. Would definitely recommend this as a top place to stay, within walking distance to everything we needed and right by the beach about a 5 minute walk with the most beautiful breathtaking scenery and the most relaxing environment, very therapeutic for mental health. LOVED it !

This was a nice place to stay. Rooms were nice, not too far from the beach and about 10 min walk to shops, food etc. If I'm ever down that way, I will most definitely book again! 👍

Very nice shower and bathroom, comes with a flat iron to straighten clothes, staff was receptive to questions and for the price it was certainly worth the stay. Highly recommend if you are coming to Miami

The room is always clean fresh amenities and towels. In the closet you also have extra towels and beach towels. Near the beach and the public transportation as well.

Ideal location in the Deco district. Easy walk to park and beach area with bike and pedestrian paths. Room with separate kitchen/dining area and outside small patio area with table and chairs. Comfortable bed, clean rooms and linens. No staff on premises, easily accessible by phone/text. I would definitely recommend and stay here again if I come back to Miami.

Let me say the property itself has potential and you can tell where some updates have been done. It’s quite cute for couples to get away. But it needs some more updates; numbers on the locks needs to be updated making it hard to see at times, especially at night time . There is a smell of mold or something maybe oldness that has been closed tight. Some of the pavers on the walkway needs to be repaired. Also there is no person available on the property if you need assistance but someone on the internet is available and if I may say they will stay in touch with you if needed.

We had difficult time getting into our room on Thursday April 2nd. They sent us instructions around 2pm by Expedia app. The code we received did not work and I ended up going to the other hotel overnight because there was no actual person helping me. We arrived to the property around 11pm that night. Make sure you will arrive earlier so you are able to reach out the management team. I was not only one having difficulties with the door. The location is excellent. The free trolley stop right in front of the building. That was great.

We stayed from 03/22-27/26. I really liked the hotel. Near the ocean. The room was clean. The hotel has its own parking. The representatives of the hotel were always in touch. Room cleaning according to your agreement. Good value for money. I definitely recommend it. The water pressure in the shower needs to be increased.

Fantastic location, walking distance to the beach.

Location of the property was excellent. The weather temperature for the shower was lukewarm but communicated that to the staff already.

The location is great - a block from the park and the beach. Nice and quiet. The bathroom seal was not perfect, but nothing a towel or 2 can't fix.

Because of the location, I could hear traffic noise in my room, but it didn't affect my sleep.

The unit was a bit hard to locate when entering, so make sure you ask them exactly where it is.
