Very cool location

The experience started poorly with the parking situation. There is no valet service, only self-parking, and the overnight fee is $25, which felt excessive considering guests have to park their own vehicles and walk back to the hotel. The check-in experience was not welcoming. The front desk staff seemed uninterested and did not clearly explain the hotel amenities or layout. Accessibility is also a concern. There is no convenient ramp access, and guests have to navigate multiple sets of stairs between the lobby, outdoor walkway, restaurant area, and elevator. The cleanliness was the biggest issue. From the lobby to the elevator, the hallways had a strong unpleasant odor. The third-floor corridor smelled even worse, like old carpet mixed with cleaning chemicals. The room itself had a very strong odor, similar to vinegar and harsh cleaning products, and because the windows could not be opened, the smell remained trapped inside. The room was not properly stocked, with no shampoo provided. The floor appeared dirty, and some towels did not look clean. The overall condition of the room made me question the cleanliness standards, including the bedding. The pool area was also disappointing. Many of the outdoor lounge chairs were visibly worn out, with torn and deteriorated cushions. They looked unhygienic and uncomfortable, making it difficult to relax and enjoy the pool area.

The hotel needs capital investment across the board. The room was poorly cleaned and at no time was the tub cleaned, despite my request that it be cleaned. Housekeeping generally was half-hearted. I would not stay there again.

Perfect wkend getaway!

Great location, right on the beach. Beautiful unassuming hotel. Polite staff and guests. Great for couples and families. Small and cozy. Great for Open Water Swimmers too. They even had Kimbo coffee, our favorite, at breakfast. Overall, a wonderful surprise.

The overnight staff was 10/10. These guys were so helpful and accommodating. Honestly, instant friends. We had a delayed flight and I communicated that with MB before arriving but the lobby was occupied with workers at midnight and check in was seamless. Great location! Our room had a stellar view of the ocean and sunrise watching was incredible. I’d 100% recommend.

I absolutely love the MB Hotel. Definitely my go to place when never i book a trip to Miami. The rooms are always clean and well maintained. The Mediterranean restaurant is superb.

I booked the MB hotel because of the great reviews I saw. But, boy was I in for a rude awakening! The hotel itself is small, which wasn’t really a problem. Their parking situation is off site or public, but they don’t disclose that to you until you get to the lobby. I tried to reach the front desk many times before approaching to no avail. Finally, I was able to find public parking and made it to the lobby where I was made aware of the offsite parking. Anyways, we check in to our room and it’s extremely small and very basic. We go out to the beach area and ask the attendant for two chairs and he was extremely rude. He was hostile and had an attitude. When I asked why he was treating me this way, he said “it’s too hot!” When I asked for towels he disclosed to me rudely that they’re just a company the hotel rents for beach chairs and that it wasn’t his problem. I go to the pool area to get some towels and I’m met with a sign to go to the lobby. This of course was extremely inconvenient. When I get to the lobby to ask for the towels, I asked for a manager and explained the situation. Humberto, the manager, was kind and listened to my requests. He walked with me back to the beach and made sure I was okay. The beach area doesn’t really have any bar service even though they state that they have “beach bar.” If you want a drink you have to go to the pool bar and then walk back to the beach. The rooms are very outdated and have a certain musky smell to them and found cockroaches

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and fresh and you can’t beat that view. I would stay again 10 out of 10.

A perfect property with all we needed.

The hotel was adequate for a one-night stay, but it would not be my first choice for a beach getaway. The beach access was convenient, about a two-minute walk from the property. The pool area was quite small, though the restaurant staff was very friendly and provided good service. The food was decent overall. Also, the parking is across the street. The property itself had more of a motel-style atmosphere and odor than a traditional beachfront hotel.

There were so many people because it was Mother's Day weekend so we never got a chair for the pool, but otherwise it was lovely. The staff were very pleasant and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was awesome and the rooms were very well appointed, very modern. What I didn't like was the directions of where to park. They gave us a decal but didn't specify to park across the street "to the left" and we parked in the wrong lot and almost got towed, so that was very scary. Luckily the staff stopped the tow truck from taking our car and we were saved. I would suggest better directions for where to park and more attention to that problem. Thank you.

No microwave in the room or the bldg according to staff. Elevator was out of service had to use the very back elevator. Staff was exceptionally nice.

I’ve been here before but it has downgraded their rate, big time. Our room never got dark as the balcony lights cannot be turned off. The pool now closes at 7pm, so we couldn’t enjoy it when we got back from the beach as we planned. I get that you don’t want restaurant people to get splashed but put on a glass wall or something. Also, the pool was so so gross, the waster wasn’t clear and there were hairs all over that got tangled within our toes. Super dirty since the morning so clearly they didn’t filter it the night before.

Staff was not friendly or welcoming besides the original person I spoke with the night before check in. The floors needed vacuumed terribly, the lounge chair cushions were filthy, and no one explained anything to us. The only good thing was the private beach access but the person who sets out the beach chairs was extremely extremely rude. I honestly would not recommend this place at all.

They have a sectioned off bit of the beech with sun loungers which is handy, just be careful as you cross to it as there are many cyclists as you walk out of the rear gate. Bar and restaurant seems fairly priced compared to others, friendly staff. Nice place to stay, I plan to be back next year.

The oceanfront balcony room was fantastic but the manager and front desk staff were SO nice and very accomodating! The other staff we encountered were also very nice although some couldnt speak English well. Only complaint would be some of the food was not great...but the pizza was!

Our room was beautiful and the hotel itself is beautiful! It was super clean and fresh smell as soon as you walked in. Perfect right on the beach and you can get free beach chairs as well. The staff was super nice and helpful and they were very knowledgeable about local restaurants. My husband and I will definitely be coming back to this hotel

The hotel is clean and smells of cleaning products – sometimes a little too strong – but the important thing is that it’s clean and has a fresh scent overall. Location is fantastic: there’s a restaurant inside the hotel, plus grocery stores, shops, and a bus stop right across the street. A beautiful beach with private sun loungers is a huge plus for this hotel. The pool water is slightly cool, but the pool itself and the surrounding area look absolutely stunning. The bar is really good too. I know it can be common at Miami but I was not aware that the room windows cannot be open - even in the bathroom. It would be good to be able to open the windows at least a little. I think that's why there's a smell of cleaning products, because there's no way to air it out. But there is no humidity smell - which also is very good. At least for me that matters next time I would choose same hotel but with sea view room. The windows is the only drawback I think.

The towels were also "dirty" (stained, but washed), something you don't expect in a hotel. One day we finished the toilet paper, and we told the reception at 6pm when we were going out for dinner. When we came back at 9pm, the toilet paper was not refilled, and we needed to wait an additional half an hour to have it delivered to our room.

Elevator doesn’t work most of the times. Rooms are not clean. Room furniture quality is sub standard. Not at all happy.

The hotel is run down. My room was super smelly and musty. I reached out to the management and it was not addressed unfortunately. The only good thing about the hotel is the restaurant and close proximity to the beach. Cleaning wasn’t done properly. I’ve found lollipop on my bed sheets and a used vision lenses on the floor, which was gross.. Basically you’re paying the price.. If you want a decent stay, book somewhere else in the area.

The Location, Oceanfront Rooms, Restaurant, Breakfast. Overall everyone was very friendly and nice. The check-in was long with only 1 person. The parking is across the street so we didn't love that.

The manager never followed up, not even to come to check the room during the remainder of our stay, even though he was “shocked” to hear of its condition. And no considerations were made. The elevator in front was out so luggage had to be carried up stairs and down stairs to get to the back elevator. The pool was nice looking but very cold. The property was very disappointing. We even looked to move to a different hotel during our stay but very little was available last minute. The young lady at the front was the only redeeming factor for the hotel.

We stayed a few hotels down at the Sherry Frontenac during the start of the trip and had such an awful experience that we ended up switching to this in the middle of our trip. It was our saving grace! Very clean and great staff. The restaurant is excellent!

Queen bed’s comfortable, good air conditioning in room, but overall condition of room/bathroom is really run down. Rust, peeling paint, broken elevator etc. I would not rate it “excellent” as I booked it based on those reviews. The pool was freezing, warmer in the ocean. Great location.

Very quaint boutique hotel with a nice beach and wonderful restaurant for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was on the roof top with amazing views, (although breakfast food could use a bit of improvement.). Staff throughout the property are great. Overall I was surprised how much I enjoyed my stay !

Great location and wonderful staff. Property is very clean and well maintained. Oddly seems clothes were damp at times, but could be a result of them placed near air conditioner. Close to restaurant's and grocery stores. Parking and resort fees are excessive, but typically I dont like paying fees that should be part of a per night fee anyway. I would recommend this hotel if you prefer lodging that is not a chain hotel

Stayed there for 5 nights and unfortunately got stuck on a 3rd floor unit facing the garage next door. We asked for a better view since we were staying and paying for 5 full nights and were ignored. The rest of the ancillary staff was very helpful including the bar and restaurant personnel… It came recommended because of the nearby shopping area, but the hotel is relatively small with small rooms and bad views all around. Beach area was above average but the pool is very small despite the fact that hardly anyone used it throughout our 5 days! The pillows were abysmal and there’s hardly any storage space. We literally lived out of our suit cases and had to call the front desk multiple times just to get 2 extra bath towels. Location on Collins Avenue is easy on easy off, but I don’t think we will be staying there in the future.

When we checked in the young gals told us the Internet was down. Not a problem for checking in cause they just took my ID for the reservation. But I had to ask about our rental car being in the parking lot and the young lady said "oh yea, you need to put this up in your rear view mirror". Thank God I asked so our rental car didn't get towed. But you would think they would mention it at checkin instead of the staff being more worried about the Facetime call she was on. The smell of the hallway for the rooms was a little off-putting as well.

I thought the hotel was very nice and clean, beautifully designed. Staff in breakfast area seemed concerned we were trying to just walk in for free breakfast and a little rude. Much better with men.

The only downside was the location—it’s quite far from the Miami port, and the traffic was extremely heavy. As a result, what we were told by hotel staff to be an $85 ride ended up costing us $200. That said, we are very grateful to the hotel staff for their outstanding hospitality, which made our stay memorable.

Close to many restaurants and bars. Easy Beach access with 2 complimentary chairs and umbrella. Very nice pool area. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I would stay here again. They need to fix the front elevator for easier access with luggage to upper floors.

We had a great experience with the concierge desk. Both Angelo and Chris provided us excellent service. We had an unfortunate travel delay and airport change that caused us to get in around 2 am. Both of these men helped to assist us in getting our luggage from the airport to the hotel, then to our room. The room itself was nice and cool, perfect for sleeping. The beach is a nice quick walk and plenty of places to eat near by.

Lights from balcony couldn’t be shut off and kept neon lights in room all night. The only bright spot was restaurant downstairs which had good drinks and food.

The soundproofing is almost nonexistent. After 1 a.m., we could clearly hear music, shower noises, and even very personal sounds from the room next door while staying with my child.

Cute little niche hotel. Food in the restaurant was excellent and the service there even better. Our room was clean, but housekeeping service wasn’t amazing. The designated beach for the hotel is pretty tight and was covered in seaweed in March, but it was nice to be out in the sun.

The rooms were clean but the hotel was musty. The front desk staff was great. Our restaurant server was not very attentive.

Having the restaurant was a game changer. The rooms are basic with updated bathrooms and clean. But to be able to walk directly right to the beach, and sit by the pool with ocean view and ocean breeze, and get lunch and a drink in the shade to take a break from the sun made it an excellent place to stay. Also location we thought was great, had a Walgreens, subway Pizza Hut, taco joint and few bars all within 2-3 blocks. We brought our 10 month old baby and we wanted to stay longer we had so much fun. We would definitely go back and stay here at MB!

William at the front desk was exceptional and the restaurant by the pool is one of the best in the area.

The room curtains sucked and didn’t block out light so the whole room is lit up blue when trying to sleep. Which is the absolute worst color of light to be exposed to before bed. It worked for me for a night in a pinch but it would suck to stay here for a week if you’re planning a trip. Definitely look else where.

Location is great. Hotel rooms had a “humid” smell to it. We also had major issues with noise due to construction. Ultimately the hotel returned our money but we could have been notified of construction prior to arrival. Location is great. Hotel rooms had a “humid” smell to it. We also had major issues with noise due to construction. Ultimately the hotel returned our money but we could have been notified of construction prior to arrival. Location was great, room was nice. I always wish rooms had more counter space in the bathroom or hooks to hang things. This place was no exception to that wish. There was 4 of us and the room was comfortable. Breakfast on the roof was fun!

I paid for a late check… when they knocked on my door at 11, I had to call the front desk—— with my self phone since none of the phones in the hotel worked— and I was told that the 40 & check out WAS TO BE APPROVED. ITS NOT GUARANTEED. THIS WAS NOT COMMUNICATED TO ME WHEN I CHECKED IN. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH FRONT DESK STAFF. VERY UNPLEASANT… I wish I would have just paid more $$$ and get great customer service

The hotel appears to be in good condition, although it could use some better maintenance. The room is a good size, but cleanliness leaves much to be desired. The only downside that made our vacation less enjoyable was definitely the poor air conditioning. The humidity was unacceptably high. Breakfast is a plus: varied and good quality. The outdoor terrace is gorgeous. The beach has direct access and is spotless. The beach service is excellent. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

Right on the beach with a great restaurant for dinner. Kids loved the pool! One thing, if you didn’t pre book the breakfast, don’t do it - it’s not worth it. Very overpriced for basic continental breakfast. We didn’t know it was not included and then was billed $240 for 4 of us (two nights), when it was hardly worth $50 total. Fortunately the staff refunded 1 day worth, but still it’s not worth it!

I come here for our birthdays every year and we love it!! Miguel and Angelo are amazing. The blonde young girl from the bar coffee area made usgo to the busy front desk area to get an ice bucket. No nice, no cool. We looove the MB hotel. She needs to improve her customer service skill.

Great beach access and pool

Everything about this establishment was magnificent, I thoroughly enjoyed my 50th birthday celebration, my 2 day stay was priceless and I can't wait to return.

The beach view was amazing from the 5th floor restaurant. The property was a very cute hotel. Many areas for picture taking. Only thing was there was only one elevator working out of the two which was all the way in the back of the hotel.

Beautiful Hotel Boutique, located beachfront wht nice views to the ocean from its restaurant located in the 5t fl. Nice breakfast buffet. Restaurant in 1st fl with Greek options, next to the pool. Staff attentive and good service. Loved it more than a big a crowded resort.

When you enter the room you feel moldy smell. Overall the room needs serious renovation. On pictures everything looks perfect but the condition of the room varies a lot. Restaurant and reception is nice newly renovated. Food is good but you feel unwelcome since even before you finish food they ask if we want a check. Hotel reception stuff is friendly.

The staff is great. Place is clean and it’s a great location. The only suggestion would be to put Sliding doors on the balconies that have noise reduction capability, because you can hear everything from the streets. it was also a little disappointing that the spa and the gym are nonexistent. I’m not sure why it says on Hotels.com that there’s a spa and gym available that is inaccurate

With easy access, you don’t need anything else. I want to highlight how all the staff of the restaurants and Bar is very welcoming, friendly , nice people. I would like to thank specially Camila she is responsible for the breakfast she is amazing and she made my birthday very special. Also Marcelo , is very friendly and they all make you feel at home.

Its a very cozy and cute hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable and room had great storage for luggage and toiletries. Plus the pool was nice with easy access to the beach.

Beach: There is no dedicated beach service. You would have to order inside - which isn't a big deal to me but wanted to point it out. I would expect people at the hotel to speak fluent English which wasn't the case for some of the staff members, especially the person working at the pool.

This is a very nice, cozy, small, family-run hotel. Perfect location, right on the oceanfront. The food is delicious. The staff is very friendly. We are extremely happy and would love to come back here again.

The hotel is in a great location, the room with a balcony has a great view, the interior is very simple, and the staff is helpful. The only downside is that I chose the breakfast option when I paid for my reservation, but the hotel charged me again.

Great location! Beautiful and affordable. Private beach is beautiful and supply you with Umbrellas and chairs. The rooftop breakfast is a delightful and delicious experience. The pool is gorgeous looking out onto the beach. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The Kalypso Beach restaurant is amazing. Poolside and beach cocktails served as well as food. Very clean hotel with very comfortable beds. I will be back soon!

Hidden gem on North Beach! Hotel has an upscale feel where the staff pampers you. The room was spacious with a beautiful ocean view. Easy access to the boardwalk and beach. Beach chairs and umbrella included with your stay.

The shower head looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years and the tub was clogged. I complained about it and they had no vacancy so the couldn’t offer me another room. A lady came to “clean” it and a guy came to unclog it and it was still dirty and getting clogged. Super unsanitary and uncomfortable. Mold in the roof of the bathroom and shower head is a safety hazard. I don’t know how they are still operating the hotel and servicing people like that.

I stayed at th MB hotel on April 24th- April 27th 2024. When arriving to the hotel it has a nice outside area where you can people watch, smoke, and drink. The lobby is straight to the point but has a bar to order drinks before going  to the pool. I arrived after 3pm, i didn't want to pay the extra $40 to get in early. The rooms are nice and have string AC units. I loved every bit of the machine. I qould definitely recommend to use the tub jets if you get one.  Beds were comfortable, I didn't select the room with a view or balcony so I can't  give much of a review on that. Once I explored and went to the pool and saw the balcony view it's nice but to pricey. Atomposhere was great and in close range to Publix, and resturants. Staff were great and I would definitely return.

The hotel was nice, but, tye majorly of the staff were not friendly. No one went out of their way to greet us. It was disappointing, also felt as if we were being nickle and dimed for everything including coffee. The $30 beeakfast was no more then what you would get as complimentary at other hotels.

Really disappointing stay. There was a strong unpleasant odor in the room that didn’t go away. The wifi barely worked the entire time. The space didn’t feel clean at all, definitely not worth the price. I wouldn’t recommend staying here!!

We loved our accommodations, the pool, the restaurant, and the proximity to the ocean. Our breakfast on the 5th floor was lovely, and offered amazing views! We loved our stay! The service was excellent. Everything was clean and welcoming.

The room was great, the pool area needs some work. The beach towels were stained, the chairs were way to low hard to get up and down. They were about 6 inches off the ground. The lounge cushions were so stained. Hair and sand in the pool. Food and drinks good

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was very well kept housekeeping did a fantastic job throughout my stay. The front desk staff were kind, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile.The pool was so fun, great spot to relax after the beach which is just a short walk away, and the complimentary umbrellas and two chairs made beach days super convenient and enjoyable. Breakfast was another big highlight definitely worth it! Highly recommend this place and would absolutely stay again!

The remodel of the exterior like pool/ restaurant/bar and lobby are beautiful features. The ocean front balconies are very spacious and carry a beautiful view. The staff was friendly and very on top of things. The only downside was one elevator being down due to the remodeling and I felt the rooms were not that amazing post remodel like they didn’t have enough budget to make the rooms just as nice as the exterior elements in the pool/restaurant area that carries a much higher end vibe. Overall as far as the staff, cleanliness and if in need for a simple stay on the beach I would stay again and recommend it.

It’s a good safe place for kids and family

The place is absolutely wonderful. Clean and organized. The restaurant in the back by the pool had great food and ambience. Decently priced as well and everyone there was very nice and attentive. Will definitely stay again.

Hands down best hotel I've stayed at. Have zero complaints; food, service, amenities are top notch. Very easy access to beach and the view from the rooms seal the deal. Will stay here for future Miami visits. 10/10

There are no microwaves in the whole hotel which is insane to me. You have to pay hotel daily fees and $150 deposit when you arrive. The night staff is great, The restaurant and bar are really nice. It is a boutique hotel. Also, housekeeping is not the greatest. I stayed for 5 days and there was sand in my room everyday. When you have a property steps of the ocean, you would expect they would at least broom the room. The Pizza Hut close to the property is really good but avoid the IHOP on weekends. The umbrellas and chairs are amazing on the beach. It is overall a good hotel but it can be better for the price :)

The room was in need of updating and remodeling, but the location on the beach, pool, pool area restaurant and rooftop restaurant made up for what the room was lacking. The hotel offers early check-in and late check-out which is very convenient when you get off a cruise ship early in the morning and your flight leaves in the evening. Overall for the price it was worth for the location and amenities.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable as it felt like it was just foam and not a real mattress. The scent of of the cleaning supplies smelled of Fabulous, very overpowering and nauseating, at least for me and my family. Otherwise everything was clean and staff was very friendly!

This hotel was absolutely wonderful. We bought the early check in option and still got there 45 mins before and they allowed us into our room. The pool was very relaxing and having access to the beach was so convenient.

Terrible experience. The rooms are mouldy and have very strong smell of moisture. It is impossible to open the window. The prices were very high for basically a very small and dirty room in a very small hotel. The breakfast was the most basic and always cold. Overall unpleasant experience.

Nice hotel

The hotel room was very standard, definitely not worth the money. It was clean but what bothered me most was the scent of the cleaner they used in the room. It bothered me the entire night.

The location was prime absolutely gorgeous pool and very close to the beach. The room was very small shower wasn’t working properly, our bedding kept getting made but not replaced for the entire week. The restaurant was closed really early many days and we had to walk to get food or drive. There’s several restaurants within walking distance.

While not the fanciest hotel in the area, you would be hard-pressed to find better customer service. All of the staff were so kind and accommodating, and our bartender, Nicolas, was phenomenal. The pool and besch were relaxing and not crowded, and you can't best the daily happy hour specials.

OK: location does not have many good dining options, hallways had odd paintings, construction/maintenance people always working on things, elevator 1 was out and in repair, small (but clean) room, no water available in lobby or by pool, only a few rooms with deck options/view, restaurant not open in the evening

It was good, only issue was the elevator was broken so we had to drag our stuff along the side of the property because there was a giant staircase that we couldn’t get over, which was kind of annoying

Good location, very clean and friendly staff

The property has direct access to the beach and beach chairs are provided, which was great. There was also never an issue getting chairs next to the pool. However, the pool is not heated, which was the number 1 issue I had. No one was going in, which should be a sign that it should probably be heated. We also immediately had an issue with the toilet, however someone came and took care of it right away. The layout of the room/closet/sink also does not allow for a good way to lay out toiletries and clothing. All in all, it was OK.

Loved the location and access to beach, which was lovely! The staff were incredible. Rooms were tiny and the bathrooms awkward with no shelving and no ventilation. We all got eaten alive by something in the rooms that we never saw. I presume it was bed bugs. Loved the restaurant onsite on the main level but was disappointed the rooftop one didn’t have anything other than a mediocre buffet.
