I know booking third party is not liked by the front desk,But my benefits with hotels.com are better. Unfortunately this hotel didn't honor some of the benefits that came with the room. My main issue was early check in and getting checked into my room in a timely manner. I don't speak for the majority of people but I'll never book here again.

You needed a key card to access the hotel after a certain hour. Staff was very polite and helpful. It smelled amazing everyday you walk through the lobby and hallways. Great location to everything you need. There was a microwave in the room. But they brought it once you requested it. Mini fridge didn't stay cold enough. The toilet is separate from the shower and it is see-through. Not a lot of privacy if you're going with someone.

Charging 350 a day for parking is crazy. Charging $40 a mins before 4pm when the rooms were ready is crazy as well. Travel all day and be tired and want to charge to check-in a few mins.

I always stay here every year I come

The location itself was nice, not far from the beach, nice restaurant downstairs. Room was comfortable and the pool was ok, I just feel like it should be bigger. The staff was not friendly, particularly the front desk and concierge. The friendliest workers were the ladies cleaning the rooms and that's strange, you'd think they were the most mean. The staff at the front desk just stared at me and my partner as we came and left, made us feel like they didn't want us there. Not sure if it was because we were black men and they felt uncomfortable but it definitely made us feel unwanted. I probably make more than most of them, so if they felt threatened then they need a cultural training as we all are part of the black and brown community most importantly the minority. I came to celebrate my birthday, it was my 1st time in Miami, hotel workers should all be friendly and inviting and unfortunately I didn't get that feeling here.

The overall hotel is super clean and pretty but the staff were not helpful at all, I asked to use the microwave, and the restaurant was very rude. The fridge does not work properly, the toilet clogged up for no reason, the window will not close properly, the phone does not work I can’t call the front desk for anything, they did not ask us if we needed anything either. And when I called for my vehicle to be brought to the front the staff was unaware of the entire process.

First I’m gone start off by me pulling up yes they was helpful but once I checked In I was not greeted properly an my tv didn’t work at all the first night with no channels so I had to sleep without television ask for help over an over again sent someone who didn’t speak English an they didn’t care an told me the next day when I called to speak to management that they wouldn’t be available until after 7pm on a Friday which was crazy to me because u would think that’s the time they would be leaving an at 7 no one called or acknowledged my problems then later that day I called again an they sent someone up who worked on the tv and got me regular channels they have no apps to watch at all so u watching they regular channels an just don’t allow u to speak to management an it’s unprofessional me being out of town didn’t wanna be stuck an have no where to stay so I stayed I wouldn’t stay here again at all… its a no for me won’t be back 1/10 an im gone need corporate number as well

People and room. Cleanness and location. Breakfast included was not good enough. I expected more variety together. I’d rather prefer yogurt and toasts, and something sweet. More than just one thing. Or coffee and juice. Not just one. Either way it was delicious. In addition I didn’t like to have an open shower just on the swimming pool area. With no shampoo nor body soap. Whenever you stay during day using the hotel facilities, beach or swimming pool you expect to get a shower before leaving. Not good to be located on that place.

Great hotel. Loved that it was close to the beach and other amenities. Lovely clean pool as well. VERY disappointed however that there was no laundry facilities for us as that was the main reason we booked this hotel!! It was advertised on expedia website to have laundry facilities. We were their prior to our cruise that didn't have laundry facilities so that's why we booked this hotel. As a result, we had to avail of laundry service on the cruise which cost us over 60 us dollars!! Not good enough. If its advertised, it should be there. If its not there, then update the website!!

Fantastic location with great staff and an excellent restaurant. The room was comfortable and suited my needs perfectly. I traveled solo for work and loved how many shopping and dining options were within walking distance, including the beach just across the street. I felt safe as a solo female traveler, and getting to and from the airport with Uber was quick and easy.

Room was clean, felt damp. Great shower, bed was small (thought we booked a king). Air conditioner kept us up half the night. We had to keep turning it off before bed and either we would be up half the night because it was so loud, or having horrible night sweats from the heat (a real Sophie’s choice). Their pool is small, very limited space, and their gym is extremely outdated. Tred mill still workable but makes a very loud noise while running. Staff is very helpful, food is great, drinks are fantastic. Service for the beach is great. Location is perfect on Collins (7 min walk from beach) and around all the night life. However, you have to walk around all the opposite side hotels to get to the beach which means if you need to use the toilet, there’s no direct cut through from the beach which was a bit annoying. We hardly spent time in the hotel other than to eat breakfast which was excellent, and to sleep which was not great. Overall would say 3 stars.. definitely not 4! Would not stay here again, but definitely would return to the area.

Only issue is I booked through Expedia and the amenities were supposed to include laundry facilities and there were none.

Most of the personnel were very nice and welcoming. The cleaning personnel were very polite and efficient. Out of the personnel, I have to single out Apollo at reception, who proved to be a true professional. The hotel app as it was at times it was not easy to order room service and I had to go to the bar to order it.

This hotel is a restaurant with a hotel behind it - very strange. We had lots of issues as Expedia customers. We paid for 2nd category deluxe room and arriving late were shown to a room at the end of a corridor off the restaurant 😳! We had requested a quiet room not near lifts and banging doors as I’m a light sleeper and whilst I know they say this can’t be guaranteed I have no issues with this on any other trip other than with IHG hotels - I have fed back to Expedia they need to review their agreements as this is the 3rd time in a year I have been placed in a substandard rooms (the one in Edinburgh looked into a car park!) and yet when I book direct I don’t have an issue. This hotel was a classic - opened the curtain to find a wall no view of natural light totally contradicting the picture on the website. I went to reception who said that was all that was left and even when I questions I had paid for a slightly better room she said ‘yes that’s it’! When I said that wasn’t the room on the website she said ‘yes Expedia have used the wrong picture’ and said she could move us the next night but that room would be right next to the restaurant and noisy - thankfully we were only there 2 nights so I resigned to a noisy couple of nights! Worse still they said I had only requested 1 free breakfast when there were 2 of us- who would do that - then wouldn’t change it so we had to pay!!! Poor service and didn’t care don’t stay if booking through Expedia look elsewhere

Тhe service in the hotel restaurant is perfect. The room is big, the bed is very good. The bathroom is excellent. I didn't have any view from the windowр, because there was a huge grey wall three meters away. There is a pedestrian path between the window and the wall it is already noisy from early morning. In addition, from 7 am the staff "holds meetings" in the corridor next to the room.

Our family, a four really enjoyed our stay at Berkeley wave. The hotel was conveniently located on Collins a block from the beach and beach towels and chairs and umbrellas were included in our stay which was great. We ate at the restaurant one night and the food was very good. The pool was beautiful as it was on the roof. The kids loved it. The view from the balcony we had was really enjoyable as we had coffee out there every morning.The staff are very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. The only issue would be the shower leaks through the door a little bit, but it certainly not a reason to not come back. also, there’s a Miami Beach public parking garage right next-door, which is a great option for parking and one of the more affordable options as well.

Waiters and front desk personnel, except the girl “Burnet”, if I may say so. Plus, the terrible delay it took them until we got back to the room after 3 pm to raise their attention after we asked 3 times for a clean bath towel. Which never came in a lapse of 30 minutes. Had to use dirty towels to dry my kids and my self. There is still much room to improve Prepaid breakfast opt needs to be flexible. My wife didne eat yellow egg and when she asked for it without only whites they refuse and said there's is some yogurth for you. All this among many other jnpmraseant experiences me and my family had. We were 13 people in 5 rooms. Not even then they offered politeness. Personnel is mostley rude

Its a great place to stay if you want to be right in the action of south beach. Property was clean and rooms nice. Not for you if you are looking for piece and quite.

I booked a couple of nights at the hotel ahead of my cruise. When I arrived my room wasn’t what I expected however the staff at reception was very helpful and changed my room. Had a very comfortable few days.

Great property in South Beach that is relatively affordable. The restaurant and bar in the lobby is great. Don’t miss out on the bottomless mimosas! The elevators are a little confusing lol!

Pool area has 5 chairs after that you lay on the ground. Something in the bottom of the pool looked like a mini diaper and water wasn't heated.

Check-in was super slow. Road noise was very clearly heard in the room all night long. Neighbors were loud until 2am and staff did nothing about it after calling them multiple times. The free bottle of wine, that you may be offered, is a $4 bottle of wine. The walk to the beach is at least a 10-15 walk. There is nowhere to use the restroom while on the beach.

I was a little hesitant about our forthcoming stay at the hotel due to some poor reviews. I should not have worried. The stuff was lovely the hotel room was terrific and the restaurant for breakfast and dinner met our requirements perfectly. And did I say how good the location was …. It was spot on 5 to 10 min walk to Lincoln Road, Espanola Way, and Ocean Drive. It was also convenient for the free Trolley Bus stopping at Lincoln Road and Washington ….. I would have no hesitation in staying at the hotel again… thanks to Lianet and Sotomayor for the lovely welcome ….

#2- front desk staff was cold, condescending and very unfriendly. I give A+ for ATTITUDE, and not in a good way. Even when you enter the lobby, the front desk staff is sitting so low behind the front counter that You can’t even tell that there’s someone working the counter. It’s like their HIDING from actually doing work. WHERE is the manager to observe this????

Location was perfect with tons of options for eating and shopping nearby. We also really enjoyed our room as we were on the top floor (9th) and had a nice view of the ocean. We would highly recommend this property and would most certainly stay again.

I come to Miami Beach with my family a few a times a year. I thought I would try a new hotel. This was a very high end hotel with lots of amenities. The location of Iberostar Waves Berkeley Shore is great. It would be better if it was on the beach side of Collins. I came here because they have gym and rooftop pool. The restaurant looked nice, pool was beautiful. Everything was broken. The key to my room didn't work, the safe was broken, the gym was tiny and poor equipment. TThe staff was very unfriendly. The lady at check-in wasn't nice or helpful. She didn't give me any information. It was a very weird interaction.

There was a lot of noise outside during the night which kept me up. The location on Collins Avenue is convenient to the beach and Lincoln Road and Ocean Drive. The street and AC units on the surrounding roofs make it noisy when you are outside and when the balcony sliders were open.

Location and the size. It’s a boutique hotel that is right in the middle of everything. It was an updated step in the past. The staff was wonderful.

They cancelled my room while I was enroute. Arrived at property at they had no rooms claiming a "water leak" in spite of being part of IHG they would not walk to me another property. I had to make separate reservations.

They overbooked the hotel and offered no resolution to the problem. When I told them I couldn’t cancel because the reservation was non-refundable they could not offer any suggestions and no assurance that I would not be charged. Everything. We were situated on the first floor and it is very loud - you can hear everything going on in the lobby and all going on around the room. I would request a room not on the first floor. Pool was beautiful. Also room advantage of the two chairs on the beach which was great. The location of the hotel is perfect. Walking distance to lots of fun areas.

My bottle of shampoo has been switched with the bottle of hand soap so I had to jump out of the shower to get the shampoo next to the sink. A minor issue!

- Our shower leaked everywhere onto the floor when in use. We discovered that the first day when I left my clothes immediately outside the door. - The hallway on our floor smelled terrible - like incense or an industrial cleaner. - Our shower leaked everywhere onto the floor when in use. We discovered that the first day when I left my clothes immediately outside the door. - The hallway on our floor smelled terrible - like incense or an industrial cleaner. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The staff was helpful. The location is excellent - 16th and Collins. Skip the restaurant. We had a terrible lunch for 2 for over $50 and we only ordered wraps. The gym is mediocre. I as there on business so I didn't use the pool.

The women at the front desk was unfriendly and unhelpful, with no welcoming attitude. At check-in, I waited nearly 10 minutes before anyone appeared at the desk. Valet service was also disappointing—it took about 40 minutes to retrieve our car, and the attendant was rude when asked about the delay. Additionally, the property is difficult to locate as it sits behind a restaurant and lacks clear or visible signage from the street. The room was nice and clean.

The staff here at Waves Berkeley Shore were all friendly and helpful. The rooms were nucecand clean. The restaurant was AMAZING especially the lamb chops. This hotel just has a great VIBE. Will definitely return❤️💯

I decided to stay here for my birthday and I loved it. The rooms very clean, I had a complimentary wine although I don't drink, I appreciated it nonetheless. I absolutely LOVED the breakfast, every day I chose something new and everything tasted good. I have since recommended this hotel to a friend who is visiting Miami soon, and he already confirmed his booking. Oh, let me also say that all members of staff were very welcoming, courteous and very helpful. I HIGHLY recommend and it's in a great spot too.

The front desk staff lacked empathy and professionalism. Instead of assisting guests, they were seen chatting and replying to voice notes on their phones. Our room showed clear signs of wear: rusty trash can, chipped wood, and questionable cleanliness. For a supposedly 4-star hotel, maintenance was subpar. We also had another reservation for two more nights the following week, but were told they do not offer luggage storage... a basic and essential service, especially for returning guests. Needless to say, we canceled the upcoming stay and will not be returning. Very disappointing experience.

The staff were friendly and courteous, especially the front desk and housekeeping staff. The room was clean and there was an atmosphere of calmness from the time you entered the hotel. The restaurant on site was good as well, and their staff were pleasant and attentive. Excellent experience! Will definitely be coming back!

The shower outside the bathroom was weird

I have some problems with the bathroom that they were resolved in part. The shower is really bad. The people at the reception is very ugly. The location of the hotel is perfect. You can get 2 chairs @ the beach for free, if you want an umbrella you will have to paid. The hotel is clean and you can receive packages without a charge.

The staff was courteous but the rooms were just okay. Not upscale as promoted at all.

From being welcomed with a smile and big hello from Genesis the young lady at the front desk.. The room was ready early & very clean. The location was the perfect. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would return!

The amenities were not good. Why wasn’t the pool heated?? and at that price breakfast should have been included. Why was there a luggage trolley and no one offered to take out bags to the room? We had to take two elevators to get to our room when we checked in. The room was very basic. I needed the shower and the bathroom in the same place and not a mirror in front of the toilet. The best part of staying there was that it was in walking distance to the walgreens.

This property is definitely not a 4 star hotel. It’s a refurbished 2 1/5 star hotel with cosmetic changes only. This means that functionally it is still a 2 star hotel with elevators out of commission, A/C units noisy as rockets and creaky doors all over the place. The hotel staff heavily prioritizes Spanish speaking guests and the service isn’t that great for others.

A maintenance man tried to walk in at 7:15am without knocking. The cleaners never cleaned my room until I asked the 2nd day. The glass shower is in the middle of the room so consider that when deciding who you are rooming with. Very few of the staff speak English at all

The rooms are small, and the shower is located in the middle of the room, so consider who you're rooming with. There was no microwave in the room.

We had a VIP room with a mini fridge that really wasn’t working so we couldn’t refrigerate the wine given as VIP perk. We left it in freezer for two days so it would cool then took it down to the bar to have it opened for us. We asked for wine glasses to enjoy the wine there at the bar and they said they could only give us plastic cups. The room was small for the price paid and once the shower was going for more than 5 min the water smelled a bit like rotten egg. Our room had a door access to another room and it was super noisy. The family next door we obnoxiously loud and didn’t let us sleep . The pool was very clean and that we did enjoy . The staff was also nice when we checked in . Everything is a good walking distance from hotel but honestly any other hotel could’ve accomplished the same for less .

Really slow elevator. And if you were heading up, and someone pressed “down,”the elevator would change directions and head down first. Just a nit but took a long while to get up to or down from room. For the money it was good enough. I’d stay there again.

Room was ok, staff were friendly. Air con was stuck on cold and toilet blocked. Breakfast was the big disappointment, you get a voucher and with it the menu is restricted and boring, with watered down juice.

This hotel is very nice for the price! Limited amenities and it is obvious why it is cheaper but my boyfriend and I faced no real problems. The room was pretty clean and the atmosphere was pleasant. The employees at this establishment were beyond kind and helpful, I wouldn’t recommend this property for anyone looking for a premium or luxurious experience as it is just a hotel with nothing too special other than overpriced valet parking and a pool that doesn’t go deeper than 4 feet. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to families or people who are looking to stay on property for most of their visit as it is a very limited hotel in terms of what it offers compared to the surrounding hotels.

Remarkable dining(coming from a chef) Ambiance was fancy. They were able to accommodate us an earlier check in. Staff was very super friendly and courteous. The rooms were modern day and clean!!

Stayed here for 4 days in Aug 2025. Service was very lacking from check-in to check-out. Very laid back attitude and not willing to complete simple requests or go the extra mile. The rooms are smaller than what the fish eye photos show, there is no shelving or enough closet space to accommodate more than 1 guest per room. Lastly, English speaking staff are few and far between.... We will not be returning.

A poor poor balcony and pool view. There was a wall blocking the view of the pool from the balcony. Had to stand up to see it. Very disappointing small pool that didn't make it inviting to relax in. Only a few people could get in comfortably at a time. I didn't use the pool. That was disappointing. Housekeeping left rolls used to unclog the sink on the bathroom counter which were there egged i checked in. A day later housekeeping left cleaning materials, solution and cleaning rag in the room. I reported both to the front desk. They were very apologetic and brought up an individual bottle of champagne as an apology. Stay was ok. I don't think I would stay here again.

The Iberostar Waves Berkeley Shore was an excellent hotel choice in Miami Beach, Florida. The hotel looked and smelled clean. We arrived late due to our flight being delayed and Abdullah greated us with a smile and was very helpful with all of the information regarding our stay. All of the staff we encountered during our stay was very pleasant and welcoming. We requested a late check out and Genesis assisted us with securing our luggage and allowing us to hang out by the pool until our departure. The hotel is located in a great location to access the beach. Beach and pool towels are available and you receive a beach chair as part of the resort fee. The elevator is a little slow so be patient. Overall this is a wonderful hotel and I would definitely stay again.

Sadly to say my partner and I had to check out earlier than we expected this morning on 8/1/25 due to seeing a roach crawling near the refrigerator and coffee pot! As I was checking out I mentioned it to the front desk associate and she then called her manager after asking did I open the window? “I didn’t know the windows could open”, was my response! As I’m talking to the manager and giving her my complaint she proceeds to say roaches are hard to control when you have people bringing in outside food and even at her personal home it can be a problem. I don’t know when the last time I’ve experienced a roach in a hotel room, let alone a manager comparing her personal life to customer service when there is a professional business involved. There is no comparison to good customer service and personal home matters. It was very unprofessional and I demanded a FULL REFUND of $138.35. They didn’t even offer me a voucher for a free meal after all that! I was just saying before seeing the roach how I loved this hotel and we’ll be staying again, I DOUBT IT NOW!!

Our check in staff was wonderful, the staff at the restaurant was rude when I tried to get her attention so we got up and went somewhere else for breakfast. The room was great, the bathroom however needs a deeper cleaning the previous guest left make up that was not cleaned up.

It’s a nice hotel. I enjoyed my stay. Loved the pool. The staffs are friendly. My only problems were the fact that there are no free parking with the hotel. They only have valet parking which is almost $60 a NIGHT! And if you didn’t wanna pay that, you’d have to go else where to find a parking. And also, the rooms in the hotel/the entire hotel doesn’t have ANY microwaves which means I had to eat my leftovers cold! 1 more thing, the unexpected extra fees at check in. I thought I just had to pay the remaining balance but there were extra fees with it.

The room was smaller than advertised and the view was an alley view not a pool view. However the staff is impeccable and very accommodating.

Cool stay.. when we arrived late around 12a the elevator was broken and we were on the 8th floor.. by the time we woke up the next day it was fixed so that was great.. called down for more towels brought right up.. not too far of a walk from beach about 7min.. about 15min from south beach where the crowded area usually is… close to 24hr Walgreens which is a plus! Have fun!

This property was not worth the money. The place is old and small. There was no privacy in the shower area because it lacked a wall so I had to get undressed in-front of guest. I wasn’t expecting to pay a large amount for a deposit. Parking is $53 a night. I guess you are paying to be semi-close to the beach. But the staff was cool.

I had mosquitoes in my room. The front desk employee gave me an OFF spray repellent to use in the room. I love traveling and have been around the world, but this is the first time this has happened to me. Not to mention that I'm allergic to it.

I don't like nothing

I arrived to the hotel on the day that i was supposed to check in and found that they had given my room to someone else and they had no other rooms left. They were fully booked and had double booked the rooms. I was told that double booking was the norm. I was also informed that I had to go and stay at a different hotel and pay for a room at the other hotel, so that’s what I did since I had no choice. Fortunately, i was able to get a full refund a couple of days later for my booking at Berkeley Shore.

This by far had to be the worst level of service I have had in a long time. I am not sure even where to begin. We booked 3 rooms. I called the front desk to let them know we were out of toilet paper twice and never received it. I had to go to several floors to track down house keeping to get a roll. House keeping did not speak english, so i had to look up online how to ask for toilet paper in spanish. We called downstairs to ask if they had ironing board because the room didnt have one and she rudely replied no and hung up. I went down to ask for suggestions on places to eat and maybe a nice lounge and Genesis said "I have no idea you can walk up and down the street, theres bars ther". I ended up walking across the street to Lowes concierge for dinner and lounge suggestions, which was absolutely amazing. I forgot my phone there and called the hotel directly 15 times and finally got an answer on the 16th attempt. The list goes on and on. I guess the saying is true that you get what you pay for. The only thing this hotel has positive is the Salt restaurant and Vince. I would suggest paying the extra money for the service you deserve.
