Henrosa Hotel

Clean, well located boutique hotel. Lift is a bonus. Coffee and water station appreciated. The bathroom was nice, water pressure perfect. Air-conditioning broke down on one side of the hotel. Our room was getting too hot. We were offered a different room, which was fine. But it was freezing in the room .Hopefully we won't get sick. Also, every time we moved, the bed squeaked quite loud. Second chair in the room would make someone's stay a bit more comfortable. .

I will choose that hotel every time I visit Miami. The accommodation was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and professional. Nothing to complain about

Pros: -Silver Expedia perk included a complimentary bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, which was a nice touch -Complimentary ice water, tea, and coffee were always available in the lobby -Staff were consistently kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. -Beach towels were easy to check out at the front desk, and Esteban’s beach chair service was convenient and friendly -Hotel has a lot of character and charm; room was comfortable and well-maintained, and A/C worked very well -Resort fee paid on-site; included bottled waters in the room -Mini fridge was on the smaller side but worked perfectly for our needs -TV included in the room -Excellent location with very easy beach access just a short walk away Parking: -We parked in the garage across from Loews Hotel, about a 5-minute walk from Henrosa. Daily parking was ~ $24 and worked out well! Other: -Did not try the breakfast, as it was not included with our stay Would definitely stay here again for the location, friendly staff, and charming atmosphere!

It’s beautiful, great location close to all of the shops and south beach. The temperature is in the rooms are controlled by staff so with that said my sister and I felt like we were in a walk-in freezer aside from that no other complaints.

The doors are paper thin! You can hear everything going on in the hallway, especially Housekeeping in the morning. I’ve never experienced so much noise at a hotel.

The Henrosa is always such a nice place to stay while enjoying all the amenities throughout the Art Deco area a part of South Beach. It’s warm and welcoming thanks to Natalia, Juan and Norman as well as those in housekeeping. The lobby, petite, is very charming. The rooms are immaculate and have a comfortable queen bed, a refrig, safe, and a very nice bathroom. It is located only a block from the ocean and right next door to another hotel The Betsy. There is a restaurant, bar and entertainment which is a bonus. Along the side of The Henrosa is an intimate alley walkway toward Ocean Drive with a pizza restaurant and an ice cream bar! The Henrosa has an adorable patio which looks out onto Collins Ave. and it is a minute’s walk away from restaurants on Espanola Way and the historic shopping district on Lincoln Road. Two streets not to miss! Coffee and tea and water for guests throughout the day. 24 hour desk service.

Superb

Perfect place to stay to be close to beach and shops at a reasonable price. Inside is cute and pink with fun decor, rooms are clean. You have access to 2 beach lounge chairs and it’s like a 2 min walk and you pass a Starbucks on the way which is fun. Also right by ocean drive and espanola way but we didn’t have any issues with noise!

Breakfast was cool, just had to walk a few blocks. Room was cute but hot. Staff was friendly. Beach was beautiful, 2 chairs to use but pay for umbrella, no view of beach.

Staff were very nice and the room was clean. No light switch on the wall to turn off bedside lighting is odd, having to get up to turn off a light at the entrance was inconvenient. The hotel was so noisy, the doors slamming and people out in corridors on phones at ridiculous times disturbing sleep was annoying. Wi-Fi did not work in the room at all even although we asked twice at reception.

Staff were kind and helpful. The room was quiet and hotel was easy walking distance to beach and restaurants.

The location was great. The only problem was the cold water - it took 15 minutes to gte hot water in the shower. We were there in February and the weather was cold, the room has no heating so it was freezing in the room. I guess summer period this is not an issue at all.

Very convenient to everything. Had issues with the temperature. AC set way too cold. It took forever to warm the room up and of course it was way too warm the next day.

The location is incredible! It’s a short block away from the beach with lots of restaurants and stores nearby. The rooms are spacious and beach towels and chairs are included with the rooms. The hotel is due for an interior design refresh since the furniture is a bit beat up and the wallpaper is peeling. The towels should also be replaced since most had dark stains on them. Cute hotel and the perfect location! Easy walk to the beach, close to Starbucks, right near Walgreens if you forget something but also in the heart of all of the beautiful and historic buildings and great local restaurants and shops. We never needed to uber and were able to walk everywhere. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was our AC didnt work at night during our stay. Staff was super nice and offered to move us after night #2, but we had unpacked and were leaving the next day and didn’t want the hassle. I would still stay here again and recommend. It was a great place, despite the AC issue we loved it!

Very cute boutique hotel. I will stay here again. The only downside was no coffee maker in the room, and the air conditioning would not go lower than 74. Other than that, it was a great experience.

Excellent location. Big room and big bathroom. Super nice beach - 2 sunbeds per room free of charge. Door to the room was not sound proof, so several times feeling that someone is in my room. First half of the stay no wifi in room and terrible connection in the lobby - I needed to work, so thankfully ther was Starbucks with excellent wifi just behind the hotel. But the fixed it half time of stay, so that’s good.

Staff were offhand & not friendly. No valet parking as advertised. Room ok but cleaning hit & miss. No coffee in room, had to go to lobby but no coffee available until at least 9.00am as nobody turns the machine on. There are much better hotels to stay in close by.

They have no parking and traveled 16 hours to get to it and they didn't care about trying to help us out. You should go ahead and get the parking with the valet station next door to make the people staying with you comfortable about staying with you. Absolutely worst trip ever. Will never be back.

However, the hotel itself is much worse. We were given a room where I barely slept at all during the night. Thank God we stayed only one night — I wouldn’t have been able to handle more and would have looked for another hotel, as there were constant banging noises and strange sounds above us during the night. I have no idea where they were coming from, especially since we were on the top floor. It was truly awful. The room had a strange musty smell. Breakfast was within walking distance from the hotel, which was fine, but the selection was very limited. All in all — I would not choose this hotel again next time.

It was very cold in my room even though I switched off the AC.

Excellent location!! The breakfast place was amazing!!! Really comfortable rooms The walls were to thins so at night we were able to listen to the other guests television. However, I am not a light sleeper so it wasn’t a problem

I think this is my new fave place for a staycation. It reminds me of an Italian Pensione and the staff is wonderful and accommodating. Beach access great and the room and bed are very comfortable and nicely done. Good value .

The AC never seemed to kick on during my stay and the unit was pretty warm. I appreciated being provided a small fan as a temporary solution but I would have preferred consistent cooling through the AC system.

Tucked beside a quiet alley yet just steps from South Beach, it’s an easy walk to the ocean, running trails, and all the energy of the beach. Walk the opposite direction and you’re surrounded by shops, restaurants, and everything you want access to in South Beach. Beach chairs included were such a bonus! I can’t recommend the Henrosa Hotel highly enough. Everything about my stay was seamless and enjoyable. I will absolutely stay here again!

Perfect transportal alley from Collings Ave to Ocean Drive. Clean but like most hotel evelators in South Beach they can be frustratingly slow, My room was very cool, too cool and no way to adjust the termostate . Stayed a a conston 66 degrees! Burr..

The location is perfect, the room size is great, plenty space, not enough closet space to hang things but that was ok, tons of large drawers, the bathroom size was big, the shower, very ample, the water pressure great, the shampoo/soap/conditioner/gel plentiful and nice, towels nice too, a little fridge in room very convenient, a safe, very nice, the personnel was nice, the maid non intrusive and very neat in making the beds, the reception personnel kind and all good. Good touches were the coffee and water always available in the lobby, the 24 hour reception duty, the 20% OFF breakfast at an Ocean Drive location a block away. Also complimentary beach chairs was a very nice touch too. I would add if a discount could also be possible at the nearby garage - $40 a day for a car is a bit much when one stays several nights in the location. All was good, if I were to request something for my next stay, would be a discount at the parking for Hotel stays just like there is a nice discount with the breakfast serving place at Ocean Drive.

The location of the rooms is great The rooms are big enough The hotel reception staff were not the most helpful, they wanted to move me to a different room after 2 nights, claiming I had been given a room I had not booked. I explained to them that they had given me the room and that I would not be moving in the middle of my stay. The receptionist's response was very unpleasant. The quality of cleaning and maintenance of the rooms needs improvement. In the room, the handle of the bathtub fell off and was not fixed until the end of the stay.

Check in was easy but had to pay an unexpected additional resort fee per person per night plus deposit. We had to change our own sheets because we found hair on three different rooms (beds) we tried. It's not worth the price but I guess you're paying for location.

The hotel was in a great location. Parking for $43/day plus the resort fee makes the price really add up fast. Staff were nice. But the walls must be paper thin. You could literally hear the showers turning on and off in nearby rooms. Could clearly hear people’s conversations through the walls. The “soundproof walls” is false advertisement.

The hotel for the most part was clean and the staff were friendly. The drawback? There is no sound proffing at all, you hear everything. The MAIN draw back....the air conditioning does not work. Its sweltering in the room with no way open a window. The thermastat on the wall doesnt work. Looking at other reviews folks in other rooms had the same issue. It made for a very hot restless night. Its by the ocean and truly convenient. Another draw back is they have no place to store luggage for clients except in the small lobby. Very cluttered. If thr AC worked Id give them 5 stars.

The hotel is very well situated. The rooms are of good size. It is reasonably clean. I believe the staff is put in very difficult situations because of management. I had elderly family member that needed two extra hand towels, and two extra pillows, which the reception could not provide because they didn’t have extras.

Very nice hotel a block off the beach in an art deco type building.front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.Cozy comfortable lobby lobby with a small outside patio at the front of the hotel. Very clean room , spacious bathroom and considerate staff maintaining the floors, in that they were pretty quiet for those that were sleeping in. This was very much appreciated. Very nice hotel a block off the beach in an art deco type building.front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.Cozy comfortable lobby lobby with a small outside patio at the front of the hotel. Very clean room , spacious bathroom and considerate staff maintaining the floors, in that they were pretty quiet for those that were sleeping in. This was very much appreciated. It was very hot. Thermostat wouldn’t go any lower than 72. We were asked to be moved to another room and one guy said yes and the next guy working morning shift didn’t accommodate. We ended up buying a fan from Walgreens across the street to make it through our stay. Also, walls are very thin. You can hear everything. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay for what we paid. It was in a convenient spot to walk most places.

Perfect location on north end of South Beach. Off the beach but steps away. Quiet and safe block. Great architecture and rooms are well appointed. Personal attention by the great staff. My favorite hotel because it feels like an upscale boutique hotel. Hidden gem, go here!

Only cons are small trickle of cold water at bathroom sink and more than 5 mins to get hot water in the shower. Maybe because we were on the 3rd floor? Also the free breakfast was terrible (we paid to eat elsewhere after the first day)

We were charged the resort fee twice. I called the hotel to alert them of the error and they agreed to remove it. Because of that I would not recommend them to others or stay there again.

They charge an extra “resort fee” when you arrive, even though they have no amenities. The rooms have no control of the AC and mine was both freezing 67 in the day and then warm 72 at night. I could also hear the couple arguing in the room next to me in full voice. Do not recommend.

Great location at the foot of Española Way, walkable to the strip & Lincoln Rd. Friendly helpful staff at the reception. Liked the complimentary coffee & daily breakfasts. Didn't like the low pressure rain head shower. Couldn't wash my hair. Had to book hair appointment instead at nearby salon.

The property is central to most restaurant, shopping areas and access to tours. The hotel is basic however a vacation requires outdoor activities so it was ok. The sheets was questionable though...not sure if they were clean or just needed bleaching. Overall, i had a good stay with easy walk to Ocean Drive.

I enjoyed staying in this hotel. We had a quiet room in a back. The only one essie you have to walk to different hotel for complimentary breakfast. Overal we had a nice stay.

Check in wasn’t timely, pictures of the room are not up to date, the floor of my room was dirty as I could feel the sand, and the complimentary breakfast is not only at another hotel but the cleanliness of the tables (ex. greasy salt & pepper) & service are poor. Overall, stay somewhere else.

Great walking location to the beach! However, the staff doesn’t clarify the beach chairs/umbrella that are available for guests to use. Chairs are free but there is a $20 umbrella fee to rent. This should be disclosed when checking in

The decor of the hotel was absolutely adorable. The rooms had everything that you needed. After having stated what could be better, they addressed most of those concerns immediately. They did replace the lightbulb in the bathroom however, the bathroom overall is very dark. I want to use a towel on the second day not sure if they just refolded used towels, but one of our washcloths was very crusty? Who knows what was on it. it was nice that there was breakfast included however you had to walk down to the same restaurant each day which was only about two blocks not a big deal but the breakfast selection was limited. The wifi was fine on your phone, but the TV/laptop was significantly lagging. Breakfast was at a hotel about two blocks away, easy & flat walk, can be sat indoors or outdoors. The hotel is a small cute hotel near the beach. Walls are extremely thin so you can hear neighbors conversations and the hotel room doors slam shut all day and all night. You can hear everyone talking and walking in the halls. The floors in our room weren’t swept or mopped. But overall the staff is friendly, easily accessible to all sort so restaurants, beach, walking/running paths. The complimentary beach loungers were nice.

Great attention, easy check in and check out, security deposit of 200 - still waiting for that refund. At check-in we were told that everything in the mini fridge was free to consume when we got into the room… There was a Gingerale and a cookie. I thought that was cheap but breakfast is included every day of your stay, which was convenient and the food was really good.

Great location and so close to the beach. You can walk on Ocean drive and explore the streets without being far from the hotel.

The staff is really sweet and helpful to talk to. This location is really prime so everything is right outside the door. Buses, shops, dining options! And the beach is about a 5 minute walk! Loved our stay!

My concerns about my stay related to the temperature of the room which was too cold and one could not adjust thermostat, which was on the wall, but it did nothing to affect the overall temperature of the room. Added to that, the maximum temperature for the hot water was much too low, although there was very hot water in the sink but did not transfer to the shower. The television in the room was difficult to operate with the remote and we could not figure out how to change the channel on the cable. The YouTube option was a functional substitute.

Staff were friendly, it was a great location close to Ocean Drive and the beach. Only issue we had was the TV did not work for more then one minute after being turned on. They called a service man, but he saw that it turned on and walked out. I tried to explain that it worked for one minute then the picture would blank. I believe there was another review that complained about the TV not working. Maybe the same room and they didn't replace the TV?? It was also kind of loud at night as there is a alley that goes next to the hotel. We could hear people outside until midnight. Bring ear plugs or a sound machine if you are a light sleeper.

I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in South Beach and this was one of the nicer hotels for us. We always stay in Art Deco hotels. The only major issue we had was that we had no air-conditioning for the first two nights. We got a fan for the second night, and they finally moved us to a room after two nights without air-conditioning, thank God this wasn’t in the summer

I would come back to this property every time I am in Miami. There is nothing NOT to like. Clean and cute boutique hotel.

Great property to stay at, the only downfall was I was "VIP silver" and didn't get the perks with it. They stated they didn't have any VIP wine left and I was like okay theres a liquor store 1 block away. Was one of the reasons I choose that establishment but other then that it was great. The breakfast was a block walk but WAY better then most "continental" with mushy eggs and questionable sausage or bacon. I went with the Cavalier all my breakfast and it was fantastic. Plus the beach is like 100 yards out back so you can't go wrong with that plus they provide towels/chairs through Estabans Place. I would choose this hotel again as it wasn't super pricey compared to most South Beach establishments.

Great stay. Rooms are very nice and newly remodeled. Only issue was there was not much hot water in the evening, but fine in the morning. Also, the room AC did not blow cold enough for my liking. Not unbearable, I just like it a tad colder, but would definitely still stay here again.

The hotel is 1 min walk from the beach. Very good location for shopping and dining. Staff is very good. Want to give a shout out to Michael on the front desk for his friendly behaviour and help. The hotel also provides complimentary breakfast that is served at another restaurant on ocean drive.

It was a very cute property that was well decorated. The complementary breakfast in its sister hotel was nice. It was 3 blocks away. We both had veggie scrambled eggs. It was renovated recently. The only problem was that some people slammed their doors in the middle of the night. If you’re a light sleeper you might need ear plugs. The price was very reasonable being a block off Miami south beach.
