Excellent, it’s the best location.

The hotel’s proximity to the Convention Center was very convenient for my plans. The parking fees were quite high, which felt excessive for the overall experience. Additionally, the toilet became clogged during my stay, and the sink drain was also backed up, which caused further inconvenience. No water fountain to take water to the room. A/c vent in my room didn't work as it should I had to leave the door open and put the thermostat all the way down.

Able to use sister hotel pool a few minutes away with courtesy beach passes with beds and parasol Pool area and pool furniture needs attention and no courtesy shower to use after checkout except for a poolside shower at sister hotel

Great location, spacious and comfortable accommodation, really enjoyed being able to use the great pool facilities at the Marseille hotel. The sound proofing for room was good, but could hear person walking around still and I am a light sleeper.

My stay at the The Dorchester Hotel was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. I honestly loved everything about this hotel. The staff was welcoming, professional, and made me feel comfortable the entire time. The rooms were clean, beautiful, and very relaxing. The atmosphere was peaceful, classy, and perfect for a getaway. The location was also perfect — close to everything while still feeling private and comfortable. Every detail of my stay exceeded my expectations. I truly enjoyed my experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great hotel experience in Miami!

The location Our room Didn't match the photos on booking.com I think they must have been taken a long time ago. Fairly close to the beach and beach service was included for 2 of the three people in our suite each day - so that was nice! The room was spotless - no dirt on the floors and we walked around barefoot. The beds and pillows were super comfy and we had more space than I thought we would have. The staff was super helpful and nice. It was noisy outside the hotel and hard to sleep with the noise on the weekend. Not the hotel's fault. The pool and courtyard were not very clean and could use a makeover. But we loved going to the beach and the Backyard beach service that came with our room. They could use additional parking - there was not a lot of parking available.

Its location is great. Not far from the “hustle & bustle” but quiet enough to enjoy the quiet too. It’s very cool and authentic. There could be more outlets.

Location is excelent, really close to the stores, restaurants and beach. However, when you enter in the Hotel and room, has a strong mold smell. For allergic people, it will be really awful. Hotel is modest, cleaning could be better. For a hotel in a prime region, they could offer a better service. I can find another hotel with the same price, but with a better service in the same region. Location.

Suite is a nice size Pictures look better than the actual location . Everything is old and very dated. Bathroom look bad. Tub is very rusty. Bed room clean though.

Property is pretty run down. Feels very old. Were stuck in an upstairs room which required taking our heavy suitcases up a steep flight of stairs. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

Great location and extremely spacious, well-appointed apartment-style hotel room with kitchen and living room, near everything. Gave out tickets for free drinks as well as beach chairs and beach umbrellas. Pool area was a bit noisy with construction next-door clearly not the hotel’s fault but not ideal.

Built in 1938 (per the manager), the hotel looks its age. But it has charm, and has been maintained fairly well, although the bath needed a reno. The unit was very spacious, and well-equipped. You cannot beat the $/sq.ft anywhere in Miami Beach. Mine was a back apartment with separate LR, DR, BR, kitchen, and of course bath. The only issue was having to lug the suitcase up to the 2nd floor. Staff are extremely welcoming. My thanks to Lloyd (Mgr) and Melinda (front desk) for your kindness. The location is right on Collins Ave, a block from the beach, but also a bit removed from the southern end of South Beach and its congestion issues. Forgot to mention there's a balcony also. And also, the rate includes 2 chairs and an umbrella on the beach. The unit could have used some additional lighting, especially in the DR and LR. As far as I could tell, the LR had only one table lamp, and had to be turned on/off at the lamp itself. If arriving in the dark, that's a problem.

The property was very clean, had a good location, and had everything that is needed. I liked the option with facilities at the neighboring hotel, which had a heated pool, jacuzzi, and an own exit to the beach where an umbrella and beach loungers were provided. I liked the signature apartment room; it was very large, the air conditioner worked very well and quietly. It had two comfortable beds and a sofa in the living room. I worried due to some bed reviews about this hotel, but decided to see for myself and didn’t regret it. I would stay in this hotel in the future. I think a little stove would be beneficial with a pan for making some breakfast for those who stay for a long vacation, because you have such a plentiful kitchen.

The staff was also very helpful. We arrived early and they held our luggage and gave us directions to local shopping and food locations. It was pouring rain and they supplied us with panchos which were perfect. We only stayed 1 night because we were going on a cruise the following day but will definitely be back for longer.

The window in the shower was broken, the window was actually open so we could hear the family next door and the kid playing and yelling like he was in our room. When I went to check the window was open, but couldn’t be closed because the nob was broken. The bathroom sink would clog because the faucet stopper would stay all the way down.. it had no lever to lift it up. Holes in the bathroom door, etc. just not as nice as the photos. Poor customer service as well, we left a bathing suit there and they told us they found it but haven’t gotten back to us about mailing it. Can’t get ahold of a manager.

We booked this hotel just to see the nightlife before we go to the resort and I regret not having my whole trip here. Amazing location, very clean and big rooms, super comfy, close to ALOT of stuff. And very reasonable prices. Definitely coming back.

The hotel was a great option while visiting Miami Art Week. It was within walking distance of the convention center and close to the other fairs, as well as the expressway for getting into the city.

I went to South Beach on a wim and found this inexpensive older hotel but I was presently surprised. I booked a suite and yes its older but the room was huge, nice decor and clean. Great amenities and allowed early check in. I would honestly book again.

Hotel was in the perfect location - close to beach, restaurants, & shopping. The restaurant had awesome Cuban food and our server was excellent - ate there two nights. All staff were friendly and had a great atmosphere.

The Dorchester is a 'tired' property. However, the rooms (mini efficiencies) are very spacious. Lot of areas to move without feeling crowded like smaller hotel rooms. WARNING; there are no elevators to the wing where most guests are staying. So if you have heavy luggage then prepare to horse the suitcases if you're on the second (top) floor, Beds hard, lots of pillows. The bar and restaurant downstairs makes very good drinks. The restaurant food is farely good. Get there early enough to have their housemade empenadas. Worth it.

The one thing I did not enjoy was the transition plate on the floor from the living room to the bathroom was over 1/2" of hard marble. Stubbed toe going to the restroom - it hurt I would remove that, it could be a liability. Aside from that, the place was spot on!

I used to live in Miami Beach, like 2 years ago, and now I come back just like tourist. I new already that this is probably the best location I can find. I stayed at the Marseille because Dorchester was getting renovated. The staff was excellent, very helpful, and friendly. My favorite things about the hotel was the free cocktail happy hour and the food was amazing.

Upon arrival, I was told that the City of Miami had closed the hotel and that I would be moved to the Catalina Hotel down the block. First of all, there were guests in and out of the Dorchester all weekend. So, I think they were lying to me. Second, the Catalina is not the same level of quality as the Dorchester. The room at the Catalina smelled and was next to the lobby which didn't clear out until around 4 a.m. Generally, NOT a good experience.

The drink prices were outrageous. Bring your own. The bellman was slow and there is only one luggage cart.

The free happy hour was ok.. only a specific drink of the night and you had to order one drink at a time, but I can’t complain much about free! The room was small but clean. The humidity was out of control as there are no fans in the bathroom; the whole room always felt damp.

We were there for one night. Jerry at the front desk was extremely rude and condescending. Our room was clean but very loud. The service at the bar (Jose?) was excellent.

Love Art Deco building.. has nice decor and facility location is very convenient. Easy access to shops and Resto and beach.

Right off the beach, secluded outdoor pool, pleasant outdoor garden & cafe. Kitchen unable to accommodate any special requests, & front desk not very helpful. We have many dietary special needs, so the bedroom suite with a kitchenette was super convenient. Overall, a nice, quiet, simple hotel.

Horrible horrible horrible I wouldn’t dare recommend the hotel was horrible you can hear everything through walls a loud band plays all night . Front desk lady got over on my money took more money then was supposed to and didn’t think Noticed ... welcome for your tip :) hope u use it towards this low down budget motel . The towels in the bathroom were dirty stains on covers not washed . The heat does not work they have a old fashion heater in the closest to use no microwave in the rooms just horrible you guys should have better service

Great location and good price. Our first night they put us in a room that was facing construction and very noisy. We didn’t realize this until 7:00 when the work began. They moved us that morning to a very quiet room after I complained. Why not give a quiet room to begin...it was clearly available.

I came 7 years ago and the room was much bigger and much more elegant , the rooms are small now and definitely not worth the price. It wasn’t a horrible experience but neither was it the best !. The room was clean and the bathroom too.

Hotel with great price and location.The rooms are ok but you can hear everything from the others rooms. the restaurant next to it is also very good.

Overall i liked the hotel. We had a king size suit. Felt like a little home away from home. The suit was basically a onebedroom

Hotel is really nice, it has a cute sitting area outside! A bit noisy at night (but well that’s part of being in SOBE) staff was great!

The only thing I didn’t like, when we arrived there was no running water. The city turn off the water for construction
