Very disappointing experience. The photos are misleading – everything looks clean and nice online, but the room was dirty upon arrival. The carpet, shower, and bed sheets were all unclean. Definitely not what was advertised. They provided us ,,better room” but it was dirty anyway. We had to leave the hotel without the refund. Room cleanliness

We loved everything. The vintage hotel was cute as a button.

The staff was the best part. They were friendly, accommodating, polite, considerate, and kind. Each person we spoke to was sweet and made our stay 1000% better. Highly recommend for budget travel. We loved everything. The vintage hotel was cute as a button.

Virtual desk is terrible. Could not get access to my room for for over 7 hours. Finally received my room key at 1 am. Could not get in contact with staff and they never reached back to me. Had to find a last minute hotel elsewhere. Terrible service.

Really lovely staff that are attentive and friendly. The room itself was in poor condition. Rust everywhere in the bathroom, toilet had erosion on it and a lot of wear and tear. AC fan wasn't great.

Room was outdated, paint peeling, toilet wobbly, stains on carpet and the tv wouldn’t work. Felt like a cheap motel.

Al margen de la excelente ubicacion!Todo lo demas mediocre limpieza !Personal de recepcion!Y hasta la supuesta manager que no dio ningun tipo de respuesta y cero empatia,al robo que sufrimos ya que nos abrieron la caja de seguridad y nos llevaron todo el dinero hasta el cambio chico.Con camara de seguridad en la puerta del cuarto y llave magnetica con la cual se comprueba quien entro.Ese dia que fue al otro dia que ingresamos no correspondia hacer la habitacion y nadie debia entrar!Por lo tanto hay entregador y complices de lo contrario no se entiende!Solo la habitacion estuvo sola de de 8 a 9 hs de 11hs a 17 hs y de 19 a 21 hs aproximadamente!Donde el entregador y complice actuaron libremente!Es de destacar la mala predisposicion de la supuesta gerenta en primer lugar no dio la cara .Mando al encargado de maestranza a hablar con mi esposo y luego de 3 hs salio y se limito a decir mi personal no fue !Se llamo a la policia no pueden ver las camaras piden a un detective hace 5 dias que paso y no llego !Esperan a que las evidencias desaparezcan ?Todos estsn muy tranquilos por lo cual es muy sospechoso !Como asi tambien la ubicacion de la camara que debe controlar la habitacion genersndo un punto ciego hscia ella!Pero si direccionada al ascensor y escalera.En ningun momento demostro esta mujer interes !Hoy dejamos el hotel y desde el dia que paso al dia de hoy nunca mas se hizo ver!En el hotel hay mivjos Argentinos que jabisn ido varias veces y el personal no es el mismo .

Furthermore, after storing my bags to wait for my room, the staff simply walked me into the storage area and told me to get them myself. They watched me struggle to carry them up the stairs without offering any assistance whatsoever. The lack of attentiveness from the staff really overshadowed the physical perks of the property.

Large room with kitchen, dining area and an entertainment unit separating the sleeping area. Perfect location to get to the beach, shopping, restaurants.

No in room coffee or even cups and the bed was not made on our second day. Not even coffee in the lobby on a Monday morning, will never go back there again for the price.

Location is great. comfy beds. Decent size of the room. The room needed VERY very much a renovation, everything was old, dusty, hitted… not dirty, but the kind of dirty that come with use, everywhere, frim the carpet since the AC or the bathroom.

The location, for the price, is unbeatable really… 1 minute Walk from Collins & Washington Avenues, 5 mins to Espanola way and the start of Ocean Drive… 2 blocks back from the beach. It’s probably the cheapest double bed you’ll find in that area. Staff were great. The place aint no oil painting but what do you expect for less than $100 a night for a double room in South Beach prime location? Sure it could do with some general upgrading and freshening up but in terms of cleanliness I thought it was pretty spotless. No staffing during the night was luckily not a direct issue for me but I guess it’s always handy to have someone on call 24/7 at the front.

Large spacious room with nice living area. Location is fanstactic, right in the centre of everything and a short block from the beach. I was in a room at the back of the property on the ground floor and staff passed by all the time, so I had to keep my curtains closed throughout. The pool area needs updating, water was clean, but pool old.

Staff were nice and room was a reasonable size for Miami. Location is very good. I don’t understand why there’s a “resort charge” it’s not a resort and there are no resort facilities. There is a small pool that wasn’t clean and no one used. The beach ‘access’ is literally being given a broken camping chair and towel not a designated area with loungers. Breakfast was a few blocks away at a different restaurant and inconvenient.

The hotel was bad condition it’s a suite but when I first arrived it was dirty the towels were dirty and I found trash in the hotel bags with someone who previously was in the room also the shower water pressure was very weak and on top of that there was hair still in the drain. Overall, a mid stay, but just cleanliness was very bad.

Heidi was very helpful. However we did ask for an early check-in and we didn't get it until after check-in time. The property is very old but the location is great. You do get what you pay for in a highly active area

The only real issues I had was, the shower water temp was barely lukewarm and the towels left fibers all over my body so I had to use a blanket to dry. Aside from that, great location and the room was clean

The location was in the heart of alot of shopping and restaurants. Also a short walk to the beach. They did provide beach chairs and towels, which was a part of the daily resort fee. There's no elevator and we stayed on the 3rd floor. It was hard hauling our luggage up. It was also hard to sleep because the bed made noises every time you moved and the air conditioner was also super loud. The bathroom seem dirty but it was because the floors were scratched up. The kitchenette didn't have enough utensils to be useful.

We asked the reception for assistance and she virtually ignored our request. I would never stay here again due to POOR customer service.

I wouldn't stay here again if it was free. They truly do not care about your experience. They want income with the lowest amount of effort/cost.

The advertising pictures are not at all what the rooms look like it’s complete false advertisement. The place is a complete dump. Maybe comparable to a rundown motel six. I did not like the Digital Key and if it wasn’t for having a staff member there at 6:30 PM I would not have figured out how to get in the building or anything else. My room was absolutely disgusting so was the bathroom things were broken and oddly fixed. The only thing nice about this place was the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of only the lobby and the proximity to everything in South Miami, which is the beach, food and shopping.

Clean and good Price. I got stuck with the keys the second night. I could not enter my room#106 all night because the keys did not work, even electronic keys and nobody was at the front desk at night. So I had to wait for the morning 7am to go into my room. I spoke with Ray when he was at the desk and they refunded me the two nights very kindly. So no problem when somebody at the desk. The problem is there is nobody there during the night. When this was brought to the front desk’s attention, the staff member flatly stated there was “nothing she could do,” offering no solution, no apology, and no concern. Our hotel key cards did not work for the entire stay, forcing us to repeatedly search for staff just to access our room—an unacceptable inconvenience and a major security concern. The television did not work, and once again, the front desk provided zero assistance or effort to resolve the issue. To make matters worse, the room itself was filthy. The floors were covered in excessive dust and sand, clearly indicating the room had not been properly cleaned prior to our arrival. The overall condition of the room was disgusting and far below even the most basic hotel standards. This entire stay was a complete disaster from start to finish. Poor maintenance, non-functioning amenities, dirty rooms, and unhelpful staff created what can only be described as a hotel from hell. This establishment should be ashamed to operate under the name of a hotel. I will never return and will be warning others to avoid this place at all costs.

Staff support was lacking. The kiosk was not very friendly use. Very hard to understand and staff very rude. Our room smoke alarm went off 3am like it was on a timer.

Great location. Walking distance to beach and venue. The refrigerator wasn’t working but replaced day 2. Hair dryer only had cold air and tiny shower. No parking on site but affordable parking garage only a few blocks away.

I was really grateful that the ice machine had a water fountain next to it considering how hot it was and how I wasn't very keen to be drinking sink water. Additionally, I was very glad that I was allowed an earlier check in, and both the check in process and check out process was very smooth. I was a little disappointed by the cleanliness of my room. There were stains everywhere including on the carpet and walls. My tall lamp did not turn on. The provided shampoo and conditioner were all crusted up and I could tell those bottles were not cleaned. The walls in the bathroom shower also had water stains all over them, so I believe the paint is not very good for a bathroom setting. Lastly, the sheets were incredibly itchy and uncomfortable.

Used filter for free parking but upon arrival they wanted extra $49.22 for offside valet parking explaining it could take staff 30 min to get car to us. Also do t like digital key as I am technologically challenged and TV didn't work, no internet to connect to any channels. Also a few little bugs in room and mattress pad barely fit the bed, corners lifted exposing mattress

I was unable to figure out where the main entrance was as the building that says Crest is not the front door. The lobby was fine, but our room (a studio/kitchenette) was very dated. It was pretty clean, but dated and lacking what we felt were appropriate amenities compared to what we were paying.

Location Corner room has a nice view. Too pricey for the quality. The pool was in the shade all the time and wasn’t functional. A/c was too loud. It wasn’t possible to leave it for a night.

I had an excellent experience at this hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly, always welcoming, and willing to help with absolutely everything, which truly makes the stay even more enjoyable. Great location, very central and convenient for exploring the city. Good price for the area. Friendly staff who are polite and welcoming. Rooms in the annex building are cleaner and brighter. -Rooms in the main building feel a bit dated, with dark and somewhat gloomy or eerie décor. Although the staff is kind, they were not very accommodating with early check-in requests, even when rooms appeared to be available.

The only think good about , the location. It’s close to the downtown and a lot of stores. Bad hotel . Shouldn’t be a hotel , that should be a motel. Bad cleaning , my neck was itching and that happened to me when I sleep on something unclean. It was a roach ( cockroach ) and ant and I have a video show all that . The parking is five minutes away from the hotel and it’s not makes sense to have my family walk every time we need to have the car. Also I ask the Night Shift stuff about the valet she told me I don’t care you should contact the company!!! That’s a bad customer service. The pool looks dirty the whole entire time.I don’t even see anybody jumping into it. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

I didn't understand this room. Carpeted floor in Miami? Bathroom walls and floor all painted, no tile, and looked like a 5 year old painted it. Bird covered ceiling was slightly creepy. But the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and it was a great walkable location

We wish that hotel staff is on site over night instead leaving the hotel unattended overnight from 12 am-8 am for guest safety. Wow. Unbelievable that this hotel is legal to stay in. It was the absolute worse hotel I’ve ever been in. Shower tub tiles falling off. toilet has dried urine all over it. Carpets were nasty.

I did not stay as the proterty did not meet expectations. I didn't feel safe and the elevator clamped as it went up and upon exit that same night, it wouldn't work for going down. I feel i was miss informed of this hotels condition and the even though I didn't stay, the property won't give me my money back yet, or even reason with me yet. Perhaps i need to bring a lawyer in to it. Or perhaps I could make this review a little bit better if they worked me on any part of it. Anything would help. Even a partial refund because they should not be there should not be false advertising.

Regarding the pool, i don't even tried it, it was literally useless, and the floor all around the area was dirty like if it was rusty. Karsher needs maybe ? Anyways, It needs a real update. My Room was pretty comfy, bed was excellent, but also a bit noisy when it comes to drunk people by the pool. No elevator can be a problem too if you are charged and breakfast is not located in the hotel itself. Our electricity went out, leaving us in the dark with no AC in the middle of the night. No accommodations were given. Left us to check out earlier than needed since we were in pure darkness and very hot in our room.

We enjoyed our stay, the property was pretty, good access to shopping and bars and restaurants. Pool was lovely and close to beach. Definitely an older building but no issues with our stay.

Overall, the stay was OK. The location of the hotel is fantastic! The beach is two blocks away and there are so many food, pharmacy, shopping options within a few block radius. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was very relaxing. The hotel also provides beach towels and beach chairs/umbrellas to borrow at no extra cost. However, the air conditioning in our room was almost nonexistent. We turned it down to the coolest setting, and it was still so hot in the room that none of us slept with blankets and we were sweating the entire time. There is also nowhere to hang up wet swimsuit/towels, other than one towel hook on the back of the bathroom door. There also wasn’t a fan in the bathroom, so it was always humid and nothing dried.

The reception area and front of the property are really well maintained and aesthetically very pleasing, aligned to the Art Deco style of the area. The rooms themselves however are a little dated and for that reason, harder to keep clean. The carpet for example appeared old and possibly not as clean as it could be and we did not feel comfortable with the children playing on the floor. I think the price paid reflects the age of the property and this was our only negative. The kitchen and dining area was very handy with hob and microwave so we could prepare basic meals and eat in as required. We loved the pool; warm during the day and shady later on so perfect for cooling down after a long day in the sun. The location was brilliant, very close to the beach and also close to the main street with free shuttle to other parts of Miami beach or you can easily walk to restaurants, shops, etc

The staff were very accommodating and answered my questions. They offer 2 beach chairs and towels, which I enjoyed. The rooms are small, but descent. The hotel and pool needs updating. They have coffee in the lobby in the morning. The hotel is very close to stores, restaurants, and beach.

Its location is walking distance to Ocean drive, the beaches, Washington avenue and Lincoln road. The prices are very reasonable, especially compared to other hotels in the vicinity. Highly recommended!

Finding parking was limited ,nearest Public parking lot was 3 blocks away, Furniture and carpet had stains, but in general housekeeping was good. Bed was very comfortable, nearby attractions and food. Staff was friendly and polite, overall a good stay for the price.

Stayed at Crest Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The location is very convenient—close to everything we needed. The hotel felt safe and was impeccably clean. What truly stood out was the warm and welcoming staff—they made us feel at home throughout our stay. Highly recommend for both comfort and hospitality.

The hotel was nice and the decor was very classic. The front desk staff was good, but when my family and I checked in the power went out for a few hours. Then I had an issue on Friday night with a gentleman who stated that he was security. My sister and I couldn't get in the hotel because the door was locked and we didn't have our card, instead of him asking which room and names he asked us for our room key and he was very rude. We waited for the rest of our family to get back 20 minutes later to get into the hotel

one side of the hotel is very old, is like they collected all of the old Furnitures and equipment and put in in the old hotel i spend 3 day and nights the elevator did not work for 2 days the outlets in my room did not work at all the mini refrigerator did not work for all 3 days my room was 706 please follow up with management

Reception staff and services were exceptionally good. Beds and bedding are super comfy. All bathroom fixtures worked well. AC too. Nights were quiet, mornings too, except on 2 occasions when some families let multiple children use the hallways as their playground. Some updating is overdue - however cleanliness was perfect and made up for any of the dated aspects of the room. Price to value is excellent. I highly recommend Crest Hotel and will return. Property is situated in a great, great location. Everything you need is steps away. Property can use a face lift, but provides you with what you need to get through a trip. Pool is disappointing, beach chairs are over half mile walk away. But overall great potential.

They need an update and not the landlord special. Our bathroom door hardly closed. Then our second day they almost didn’t make up the room. We had to ask and then they tried to make it seemed like we weren’t out of the room early enough when we were out by 11am. Honestly it wasn’t awful but I’d pick better hotels for the same price in the same area.

Plenty of recent eateries nearby and round the corner from the hop on hop off bus stop. Yes the decor is a bit dated but the room rate and location more than make up for the cosmetic imperfections. Helpful staff, especially Paula on reception.

This was shockingly the WORST hotel ive ever stayed in. The pool was having maintenance and not available. The halls were musty and dirty. The room was disgusting. There were stains on the sheets. The carpet was sticky. I has to use the towels to put on the ground so i could walk without getting my feet dirty. The bathroom was so freaking nasty. When we turned the faucet on, nasty stuff came out of the drain like the inside of a cigar. The shower was literally not possble to use. It was like 6' high all dark purple paint, no light inside - scary!! Just a terrible terrible experience.

We saw some negative reviews and were a bit worried, but our experience was very good. Our room was large, clean, and very comfortable bed. Front desk staff were very accommodating, and let us into the room ahead of check out time, as we had disembarked a cruise ship early morning. Staff were kind and caring. I would be happy to stay there again.

Manager on duty was understanding and supported partial refund request, however since no night was spent here I am still working on collecting full refund. The place raises serious health and safety concerns. Staff tried their best to support with limited options, which I appreciate. Property needs a deep cleaning, major sanitizing, facelift ( of course with keeping the historical elements as they should ). Willing to support feedback with all the detailed photos that were taken prior to my escape from this establishment.

Customer service was amazing! The location can’t be better, you can walk to everywhere.

Amazing hotel , no parking only downside , get your parking at a local garage overnight for peace of mind , make sure you do it early tho as they get full !

Old and un-updated carpets were dirty shower sprayed from the connection and the sink faucet falling apart. Toilet seat had wear mark was probably 10 yrs old. I would not stay here again.

The property is a perfect example of the Art Deco era. It had a lovely vibe from the moment we checked in. The young women who checked us in was professional though light hearted with the ability to make one feel comfortable quickly. It was easy to walk everywhere from the hotel. We enjoyed the free coffee in the a.m. in their outdoor dining area. I would certainly stay there again.

Older building and rooms need to be updated (new furniture etc) but location is excellent. Close to many shops and restaurants. Also, just a few blocks walk to the beach.

Really enjoyed this area and the staff was super sweet. Of course, it’s basic but the walk ability to shops and restaurants can’t be beat for the price.

Stay was ok kind of what you would expect for south beach. We utilized the valet and unfortunately they really feel short. We had made arrangements to pickup yhe vehicle at 7:30. They did not get the car until 1-1/2 later. Very poor service even thought we followed all their guidelines.

The internet in the room I stayed in was very weak and sometimes didn't work.

The hotel needs some TLC, from the pink couch in the lobby to the carpets in the rooms. However, staff was helpful and proximity to restaurants and beach can't be beat.

I've stayed here a couple times and overall id call it a clean cozy bed, but not much else. Location is pretty good too- beach is just a couple blocks away, plenty of parking options nearby and a plethora of food, drink and shopping

The hotel looks very nice from the outside and lobby, very pretty pink and green decor nice for pictures. Staff was very nice and accommodating we got there early and they allowed us to check in early. First room was disgusting, dirty sheets what looked like blood on them, dirty bathroom. We went down and immediately changed the room which they did. Next room was much better. Room was extremely cold couldn’t adjust the temperature and front desk didn’t know how to change it. Did not like that we had to pay a resort fee and we were only staying overnight with zero plans to use any of the “amenities” included (beach towels and I think a chair- Not worth $36) did like that they had water throughout the nice and very central location to south beach. Good for the price don’t expect much.

The hotel is located close to the beach and there are multiple stores and restaurants nearby, so that was convenient. The customer service was great, the check in process was fast, straightforward, and easy. The hotel doesn’t not look like the pictures. The hotel is extremely outdated, it looks like a 1960s- 1970s esthetic. The shower looks like a cleaning area for housekeepers and maintenance workers to wash out mops and dump dirty bucket water in. The hotel smells moldy or a mildew like smell, the air conditioner is turned up to mask the smell. There were homeless and drug addicted people hanging out in front of the hotel in the outdoor dining area. The police did come and remove the individuals. If you are coming back to the hotel late, please watch your surroundings. This hotel is for a quick in and out, with people on a tight budget, or for people who want an adult night. There is a hostel next door, so that will give you in idea of the surrounding area.

I like that they have been keeping the pool open after hours, it’s such a beautiful end of day experience to be able to swim in the evening with all the lights on it

Completely false. Two sides to the hotel. One disgusting side, and the somewhat better side. Expedia was useless in helping resolve the issues we faced at the hotel. The front desk eventually worked with me and moved me to a room that wasn't dirty, without broken doors, nasty carpet, and had working lighting. The ratings are bogus. There are numerous reviews posting the same conditions. Make sure you call and confirm what they sold you, prior to checking in. First time in 10 years of using this app did I ever experience this sort of thing. Buyer beware.

I honestly didn’t like anything about this property. Not only was our room on a floor that looked/was an active construction zone, but we had to be moved due to our tv not working (a man came and sat in our room for 15 minutes trying to get it to work and sat on the phone at 7pm at night). Also to top it off there was no hot water. All in all I would rather sleep in my car than stay there again.

1. Elevator was not working at all. 3. Got a room in different bulding, far side than expected. 3. Parking problem and not near by 4. There are no proper vents in the room, stinking. Very old room 4. Checkout was terrible. The checkout guy was very rude and reckless. Good side: 1. Check in was smooth and assisted me with all clarifications. 2. Getting car from parking lot was good and quick 3. Convenient area with numerous stores and restaurants within walking distance. Finding the hotel can be hard because gps takes you down an alleyway. Also finding parking to wait on valet took us about 30 minutes. I wish there was a quicker process. Breakfast is basically non existent.

This hotel is so old and outdated! The shower did not work well, the carpet is old and with patches, the old model of air conditioner is very loud. The front desk personnel was nice. The location is good ( close to everything) and not noisy.

The air purifier smell in the room is terrible and causing us serious headaches. The front desk told us there’s nothing they can do.

I loved everything about the property. Basic and simple hotel room, clean, and sanitary. Although the cable tv could be better with more channels but other than that, it was great. I loved the location too, just a block away from the beach. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

Terrível. O elevador estava sem funcionar durante toda minha estadia. Eu estava com minha bebê e precisei subir com todos os dias com o carrinho e com malas e compras pela escada e sem ter ajuda dos funcionários. Limpeza dos quartos péssima, havia comida debaixo da cama de outros hóspedes.

Found the hotel clean and well located and rooms well outfitted and my only issue was the lack of soundproofing between rooms. I could make out every word from next door and across the hall rooms so didn’t get much sleep second nice as neighbours up till 4 am . With noise cancelling earphones, I would stay again as the rest I enjoyed.

Hotel was 2min walk to CVS, Ross Dress for Less, 7 Eleven, and 4min walk to Lincoln Road. The have a beach service (sunbeds) that is already inclued in the reservation, which was really nice. There's a lot of restaurant close by to the hotel, a lot of places it was possible to go by walking.
