It was nice. I liked it. But if the ac wasn’t on the room got humid. Not necessarily warm but the ground would get wet. But it wasn’t a huge issue for me. It was also walking distance from Publix, different food options and stores and the beach. I’d go back

Great budget friendly hotel!

Even though there was a nominal onsite parking fee, it’s well worth it since many hotels either don’t offer parking or charge much more for parking. The hotel sits on the main road but the room was super quiet. My room overlooked the street so I had a great beach view!! The bed was comfortable and the room was fairly clean with a small bathroom. At bedtime about 10:30pm, I turned off the lights and while I was on my phone a bug flew on me. I jumped out of bed turning on the light and all these bugs were flying all around the light fixture by the bed and in the bathroom. Staff came and sprayed (ugh spray fumes). Seemed like they came from the bathroom vent so I slept with the bathroom door closed with vent/light on so they wouldn’t come back into the room. Seemed to help. Not sure if I will stay there again. Will check other Miami Beach options.

We loved our stay, I booked a king ( by accident) and the front desk gave me an upgrade since I had my teenage grandson with me! Very clean!

The hotel is well located at Miami Beach. It’s a basic hotel. Beach Access is within a 10 min walk. The staff was very friendly. Shops and restaurants are nearby. Parking for 25$ per day is available. The room can be made fully dark at night. The Wi-Fi was free but not working.

The beach and Walgreens were close. I asked for a room with a fan or balcony . And he said he didn't have a fan or a room with a balcony but he had a room with a window that opened and it had a view of the beach. Well the window did open with no screen and the view was of street with lots of traffic. The view of the beach was way off in a distance and you have to look really hard to see it. I went out back the next day and there was a whole bunch of rooms with a balcony.

Very nice and clean property located right across the street from the beach. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout the stay. The pool was especially impressive—clean and sparkling, perfect for relaxing. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and I would definitely recommend it to other travelers looking for a convenient beach stay.

I liked the location very near to the beach and stores (restaurants and groceries - which is important since the hotel doesn't have a kitchen of their own). The room was quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool! I think the pillows should be updated, also the hotel could have more disposable spoons, knife and forks as they a space to heat food and eat.

Location is ok bc near beach. Not much cool spots around to eat. Room was so so nothing great. AC worked great. Super muggy and smell throughout hallways plus constant noise outside w slamming of doors. Bathroom was tiny. Beds comfy. Overall as prev stated its aight. Price is ok, staff not the kindest. Would recommend staying closer to hotels near Indian creek dr as foods better and beach is too.

There is too much noise around, you can hear your neighbors yelling and screaming. I couldn’t get no sleep and the AC system is terrible. I guess you get what you’re paying for.

The room was very clean. The AC worked great, had to increase the setting because the room was chilly. Staff was very helpful with information on the area, and was friendly folks. Great area too. Plenty of places to eat and beach access only 2 blocks away. Hope to return there.

If you are looking for a basic room this is for you. However if you are looking for anything "extra" this is not the place for you. It is very outdated, uncomfortable beds/pillows, you can HEAR EVERYTHING, and the cleanliness of the room was okay but not the best. This hotel is across the street from the beach NOT on the beach, if I had known this I would have spent more money and stayed elsewhere. Parking is extremely overpriced for this property. Amenities are lacking. The showers are horrible I felt like I was showering in a jail shower. The staff however was very nice and super helpful.

The property is a solid 3. You are lugging your luggage up flights of steps in hot hallways. My room was clean and simple.AC was good on 72 but couldn't maintain less than that. Decent hotel for the price. Important to know, beach is an 8min walk and good restaurants are 15 min. However, there are 2-3 star restaurants within a 5 min walk

Lobby and shared areas were adequate. Staff was nice enough. Room was... Clean for the most part, but not thoroughly. Cups in bathroom clearly had not been replaced as there were hair clippings on top. Water damage, rust, calcification, stains just made the space FEEL dirty. AC was efficient. Would probably not stay again.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Parking was easy with in and out privileges. Beach towels were provided upon request. Cable tv in room was not high def, although you can use the smart tv to watch apps with good quality. Area is convenient to beach, restaurants and shops.

Doors don’t even shut, found roaches in my room, shower heads barely shoots water, tap list barely flushes. You have to flush like 6 times. And worst of them all are the house keepers, they stole my AirPods and the hotel staff been dodging my calls and keep hanging up on my face

One of the best parts about this location is the convenience. Right next door, there were plenty of stores, restaurants, shopping boutiques, and even a pharmacy, so everything I needed was within walking distance. The hotel also offered tours and activity options, which made it easy to explore Miami’s main attractions and even experience some wildlife adventures. It was a great option for anyone looking to mix relaxation with a bit of excitement. I’d definitely consider staying here again.

Hotel old and outdated Had to move bedside chest as I dropped something behind it, the front had an old dirty piece of foam filling the front gap and the floor behind it was disgusting. Front desk staff very disinterested didn’t even speak as we came in , no welcoming hello. I left my AirPods behind , I could see them at the hotel on my tracker, hotel claimed not to have found them , they were there for 3 days before the battery ran out , I called on 3 occasions and was repeatedly told that they were not there.

We got to the hotel at 1pm. They wanted $50 to check in 2hrs early. I decline to be gouged an extra $50. Hotel was clean and smelled good. It’s definitely older, but doable for a short stay on a tight budget. We stayed for a night before a cruise. We took advantage of the FREE Miami Beach Trolly to get around town.

We were told to go up a few stairs and that our room was on an upper floor. When we reached the second floor, the room wasn’t there. A lady who was cleaning a room told us to go back down the stairs from the other side and that our room was on the other side of the pool. There was no need for us to go up several stairs and then come back down again. The bed sheets were not ironed.

Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! The room was spacious and clean and the balcony was a nice touch. The beach was a 5 minute wak away, and the bus stop maybe 3 minutes. Convenient was a breakfast place just around the corner and several bars and restaurants along Collins Avenue. Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception and cleaning personell. That we had to leave. But no, except for a little water damage on doors and furniture and the coffee machine not having a socket close by, everything was fantastic.

Je recommande fortement l'hôtel Collins à Miami Beach. Chaque chambre comprend un frigo et une cafétière (café inclus). Il y a un micro-ondes et des ordinateurs avec internet dans la salle commune. Cet hôtel est très bien situé: à environ 5-7 minutes de marche de la plage et à 10 minutes de marche de l'épicerie Publix. Il y a une piscine avec des chaises longues sur le terrain de l'hôtel. Enfin, il y a un kiosque de locations de vélos ($) à 5 minutes de marche et plusieurs restaurants sont accessibles à pied (Pizza-Hut, Subway, Love Brunch, Venezia, etc.).

Hotel is clean but dated. Does have a fridge in the room with a freezer. Some loose tiles in the bathroom. They do charge for early check in. Staff was friendly and let us leave our bags checked in until our check in time. Very strict about what you can and can’t do with the A/C. Excellent location close to Publix and the beach. Not the most fancy but the location made it worth the price.

Not on the beach as advertised, there is a street and another massive property between hotel and beach. Outdated room, loud halls and floors, overall feeling of old and outdated.

It was functional and cost-effective for what we needed. Poor signage to our room, and a front desk clerk who didn't give good directions made the first night difficult. Felt safe here, met our basic needs for a quick stay in Miami Beach before our cruise!

The location is amazing, the rooms are clean. The A/C wasn’t sufficient. It became too hot in the middle of the night and was a little suffocating.

I wish I could have stayed longer. It was a great location, close to food, the beach, all within walking distance. Love it! Will definitely come back next visit!

While the room itself was clean and comfortable, and the location was excellent, we were frustrated by the broken elevator, and at one point, we were told that we would have to pay cash because the computer system was down. We did not find the staff to be helpful or accommodating in finding solutions to the problems being caused by the hotel's broken aspects.

I liked how clean it was. The location was great. Lots of clean towels supplied. The room and bathroom were not too spacious.

This was the 4th time we repeated our comfortable experience. Our room was quiet and clean. The only thing that would have made it better would be to allow access to the smart tv via WiFi. Room over looked a dirty looking car park and run down buildings. Room itself has very thin walls and ceilings, i heard the conversations next door as if they were in my room, constant thumping foot steps from thevroom above me, ( apparantly this is a common complaint) poor wi fi signal. The only decent thing the hotel has is gated parking, but this comes at a high price, and the beach is a 5 minute walk across the road. staff friendly, however i would Never stay again, and wouldnt recommend.

The ONLY updated portion of this "hotel" is the lobby photo featured. This is literally the most outdated motel...not hotel...iv ever stayed in. Ill give it to them for it being clean but this is basically a clean motel 6

Nice area. Lots of options to eat on the street and groceries store as well. Rest is okay nothing special. No lift so you have to carry your bag to 2nd floor if your is at uppar floor. Location is beautiful but far from airport.

Room 127 is in poor condition. The sheets and towels are relatively clean, but the bathroom clearly needs repair. The shower handle only works intermittently.

Shower had very little pressure. Elevator out of order our whole stay. Had to carry luggage up to and down from third floor. Wife has back issues and isn’t supposed to use stairs a lot. People were loud late into the night and a lot of banging doors.

Staff was amazing, property was perfect for the praise. Everything you need within walking distance car rental, restaurant, smoke shop, gift shop, liquor, etc. Rooms are perfect to come with kids and have them next room over since they’re accessible with a shared door inside.

The property is in bad condition and the staff at the front desk didn't know what they were doing in regards to our 3 groups of couples checking in. The elevator is located up the stairs which defeats the purpose because you have to carry your luggage up the stairs to get to the elevator on the second floor. The elevator broke down the day we were leaving and we had to carry 10 pieces of luggage down the stairs from the 3rd floor.

The gentleman desk clerk on duty at around 10:30 pm on Monday, March 2, did not greet us back when we greeted him, unfriendly. The gentleman desk clerk on duty on Tuesday, March 3, did not greet us when we went for a walk in the morning, and was on a personal call while we were checking out, so we had to wait for him. The towels had yellow stains on them. There was hair in the bathroom. Bring your own soap or get some at Publix Supermarket, a few blocks away. We could hear the other guests. The room door did not have an inside room door lock. It was broken.

The only thing that could use improving is the tv /cable is not high definition and the picture quality is poor. That should be an easy update. Also the bathroom fixtures should be update as they are really showing their age, oh and no Kleenex provided. Other than these small things it was a great price and I would go back.

It was also strange that there were no utensils available anywhere on the property, especially since food is sold in the lobby. On a positive note, the room itself was clean, the hotel is in a good location, and parking onsite was easy and convenient. Unfortunately, based on the overall condition and value for the price, I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

The pool area and the outside area were nice and comfortable. My mattress was comfortable also. My room was very small and overlooked a dumpy parking lot. I have stayed there before and loved my room in the past. I didn't realize that requesting a king size bed would put me into the older part of the building with a terrible view. I was traveling with several (3) other families who stayed there because of my recommendation and they all had very nice rooms. I requested to be moved to be closer to my travel mates and get a little nicer room but was told I was out of luck. I would stay there again but I just would NEVER request a king room again. The staff was friendly but I don't believe they tried too hard to accommodate my request.

The rooms are not great.

The bathrooms are compact. There is an elevator for a refurbished section of rooms that overlook the road/beach. The other section overlooks the pool. Just enough storage space for a short stay. No individual room microwave and iron.

Hotel appeared to be old and dilapidated. Water pressure in bathrooms very low. Toilets didn't want to flush properly.

If you just need a clean comfortable place to sleep while you do other things in Miami it provides a good value option.

The room was clean but the floor tiles were loose and moved when you stepped on them. The bathroom floor flooded when we showered due to the curtain not being long enough. The pillows were flat and very uncomfortable. Any door that shuts on the hall will slam and wake you from your sleep.

The location was excellent. However, we found cockroaches in the room and when trying to address this with the front-desk they were dismissive of it.

Slowest elevator ever, no parking, no valet, no baggage racks, but the AC was cold and I actually slept pretty well. Definitely a good spot since it's north a little bit. Good vibes.

the only thing I dont like this hotel is there is no microwave in the room. You have go downstairs after long way to the main lobby. the only microwave is dirty and old which located in a rosted dirty corner.

The staff stood there and ignored us as we walked in. Finally someone stepped up to help us. Once we got in the room noticed right away how badly it needed an update but at least it was clean. Then the fun began, the bed squeak so badly but the pillows were the best. It looked like they cut king size pillows in half, lol. I strongly suggest bring your own pillows. Best of luck!!!!

Anoche llegué tarde cansada, apenas abrí la puerta doy pongo un pie dentro del cuarto y me resbaló casi todo el piso estaba lleno de aceite o de algo muy resbaloso el teléfono del cuarto no funcionaba. Llamé de mi celular a recepción, la persona que estaba trabajando anoche no fue nada amable, ni hizo nada para ayudarme. Lo único que dijo venga abajo para darle otra llave para otro cuarto fue todo,no disculpa o qué pasó nada nada me podía haber matado en ese cuarto y él ni siquiera le importó. Muy mala experiencia y definitivamente no lo recomiendo..

The attendant did not clean the bathroom properly. She left a dead worm in the floor and didn't clean the sink at all. I was there for 5 days.

The staff is lovely and we were able to check in almost 3 hours early. The room was nice but a bit dated. Pool towels are available at the front desk so you don’t have to use your room towels. Close to the hotel there isn’t a lot to do but quick access to the beach and good food.

For ten years I came every year to this property and bring my family and friends we enjoy it . I suggest put a sign to say don’t drink alcohol in the lobby because this is a family hotel no garden party .

Online pictures make this place look great, but maybe this was 10 years ago, the hotel needs a major renovation and attitude changed. This is classic ‘clean to the minimum before complaint’. Avoid this place is my advice.

Very kind and helpful staff. Let me keep my bags in the back after checkout till late afternoon which was nice. Excellent N Miami beach location on Collins, near lots of restaurants, Walgreens, etc. Motel style building with 2 floors and outdoor entry. Decent, clean rooms. Only thing I didn't like was the old school type of connecting doors between rooms, which let a lot of the sound of the neighboring guests come through. Overall though, a good experience for the price. I would stay here again.

This property is very close to the trolley line which was so convenient. We wrote it a few times during our stay.

We really liked the pool and it was a quick walk to the beach and a couple nearby restaurants. The room was decently clean. The beds weren't the most comfortable but they were fine for a night. The elevator had a terrible smell but it was an older hotel.

It was ok but outdated and there was no places to eat near there very inaccessible.

Close to beach, park, and trolly. Felt safe. Older but clean and maintained. Kids enjoyed the pool and few cats on the property. Easy checkin and affordable parking in lot. No laundry. Had to go to the front desk frequently for shower towels (only 2 in room), washcloths (none provided), pool towels (none in room or at pool). Staff was nice but not overly friendly. No extras like water, coffee, breakfast, laundry room, etc. Had a couple vending machines. Laundry mat is quite a walk to haul clothes. Grocery store, beach store, pharmacy, and some restaurants within walking distance.

The area is not very friendly, full of noise and people smoking all kind of things. The check-in way long due to malfunction of the computers. Overall it's way too expensive for what it has to offer. It's an ok motel, clean. There is a 25$/night parking.

Probably was a great price for the date I needed in the area I wanted. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Even an UPS store next door if I needed to ship stuff back home due to luggage space issues. The lobby had a strong odor of attempted pleasant scents. Like they were trying too hard. It was easy check in. Had to walk up stairs with luggage, no elevator. Room was good. Only issues were the TV was hard to figure out and the toilet barely flushed. Not going to explain that one any further, you guess. I wouldn't mind booking here again, but hope for a different room.

This hotel was fine for a one night stay while we waited for our cruise to depart. The room was clean, pool was good. Staff was nice and we were able to leave our bags after check out while we grabbed lunch.

The location is great we haven’t explored the whole area yet but it’s very close to a supermarket to the beach and some restaurants

Now for the downsides—our bathroom sink leaked quite a bit when the faucet was on, and the TV remote was missing basic buttons, making it pretty much useless. There’s no bathtub, just a shower, and if you need a microwave, you’ll have to go down to the lobby since the rooms don’t have one. Parking is $25 per night, and the walls don’t do much to block out noise from neighboring rooms. Also, the door was missing a security latch, which felt a little off. Still, none of these were major issues. With the great location, friendly staff, and overall comfort, this place was definitely worth it, and I’d stay here again.

Shower did not work in the room, and was put in a new room, and the bathroom had black mold on the ceiling. Sheets were dirt, had stains on them. I’d pay a little more for a better hotel.

There are better options available in the same price range that offer a more comfortable and welcoming experience. In conclusion, If you’re looking for a quick, no-frills place to stay for a night or two, Hotel Collins might suffice. However, if you’re expecting the comfort, service, and amenities of a hotel, you’ll likely be disappointed. My stay felt more like a motel experience, and I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
