The English Front Desk person, sorry, I am terrible with names, was so nice and helpful. I did not know that breakfast was included, that the valet was super reasonably priced for Miami Beach, and that we could use the complimentary bikes. We need to come back again! Thank you.

The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is the front desk staff. First and foremost we booked our stay and then were advised this facility is not handicap accessible. You have to take stairs to get to any room assigned. There is also a $40 valet charge per day. Next up would be our room. We ended up being assigned to a room on the 1st floor whereas our window faced the alley, if you wanted to take a nap well no you could not leave the blinds open as anyone could see in. For a hotel that was said to have been remodeled in 2018?? Needs serious help. The glass in the shower was half gone, tile missing or broken, shower head busted and leaking. Toilet paper installed under the sink, water damage above door, busted door. Entry door frame completely tilted, and rusted hinges. On to the bedroom. Entire corner trim was missing on the wall. Placement of the tv?? Was not properly placed in order to be able to watch. If you wanted to sit at the desk I hope you are comfortable in a metal cafeteria chair. The closet was unfinished. And last but not least the unpleasant roach sightings. If I could add all the photos we took, I would!!! The photos provided on the hotel website do not portray what it actually looks like.

Location was the best thing about this hotel. The bathroom is to small! The shower is the smallest shower I’ve seen in my life. Then they have the nerve to have a waterfall shower head. You barely can raise your arms how tight the shower is. The toilet is so close on the wall you can’t even sit on it without your legs touching the sink and wall. The entire bathroom is about 3ftx3ft and that’s not exaggerating. I had to take a shower standing outside the shower because it was so small.

Best thing about this hotel is the staff, they were amazing. Hotel is in a great location with many restaurants, beach and entertainment within short walking distance. Hotel is older and room was much smaller than expected. Room was okay for a short stay, for if looking to stay longer than two days, I would recommend another location.

First of all, I’m sorry to say that the hotel was worse than I expected. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but unfortunately, I was not satisfied with my stay. The location was very good, which was a positive. However, the room had a strange smell, and there was a constant loud noise that made it impossible for me to sleep, even with the AC turned off. It was very disturbing. If I had turned the AC on, the noise would have been even worse. Unfortunately, the AC display was also not working. Although the bed was genuinely comfortable, I still had trouble sleeping because of these issues. There wasn’t even a single bottle of water in the room, and despite having a minibar, it was completely empty. Overall, the stay was disappointing First of all, I’m sorry to say that the hotel was worse than I expected. - 0.5/5
Customer service was rude and unaccommodating.
- 4/5
The manager at the front desk was very helpful and cordial; the hotel lets you borrow chairs and towels for the beach; beach is right across the street; quiet; reasonably good breakfast Room was a bit small
- 5/5
Great spot for the price with generous healthy options for the continental breakfast
- 4/5
Great location, nice staff. The room isn't the Ritz, but for what you pay and the location it is great. Wifi was really weak / it was hard to do work. That said, this is a vacation spot so likely isn't a problem for most.
- 3/5
The location is definitely a highlight—an easy, quick walk to the beach, which was wonderful. The breakfast was also a standout, with plenty of options and a really charming, vintage feel. That said, the room itself felt a bit worn and could use some updating. The walls were quite thin, so noise carried easily, and overall the space felt a little tired compared to what I expected for the cost. Also, just be aware that parking is not included. All in all, it really depends on what you’re looking for—great location and breakfast, but the accommodations themselves may not meet expectations at that price.
- 3/5
Old and needs updated. We didnt see an elevator and luggage was heavy taking the stairs. Smelled like marijuana despite being a smoke free hotel.
- 3.5/5
Stairs.
- 1.5/5
I liked that I had somewhere to be inside from the storm. It was dirty. It was falling apart—the beds, the curtain rods hanging out of the wall, the door handles broken. The thickest layer of dust on everything including the bathroom! The shower head is about 48 inches off the ground so if you’re taller than 4 ft it’s difficult to shower. The man door to the room had a gap in the bottom and the long side so you can see out and hear people all night/day. The cleaning staff and the 3 front desk staff I encountered were not friendly nor helpful. The cleaning staff couldn’t speak English. Tried to use translate app and they still acted like they couldn’t understand. The towels are tiny like almost a hand towel size.

We were so pleased with our stay at Century! The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our requests. The property itself had it's quirks, but I was expecting it with the age of the building. I was overall happy with the price point, proximity to the beach, consistent housekeeping, and complimentary breakfast options. I would definitely stay at Century again if I have the pleasure of returning to Miami in the future. :)
- 3/5
Location is excellent. 200 yard walk to beach. Property is older but is kept nice. Bathrooms are small and room is a little antiquated. I would stay again though due to the location
- 1/5
It was moldy, dirty and LOUD! Terrible experience!
- 5/5
Beautiful room, good location, they give you things for the beach and they have an inckuded breakfast, was amazing, oh and the bed was heaven Maybe the hallway was a little ugly, and you could heard a bit the next room but it wasn't something annoying
- 3.5/5
The location was great. A five minute walk to a beautiful beach. Plenty of restaurants and bars within an easy walk. Safe clean neighborhood. Hotel itself had a lot of old school charm. Items in our room either didn't work or needed attention. The shower stall was very small and the shower head needs to be repositioned. The hotel charged a resort fee for use of towels, chairs and umbrella for beach use, they were a joke, especially the chairs.
- 4.5/5
The location. It’s just one block away from the beach and apart from all the chaos and loudness of Miami Beach. Additionally, breakfast is decent and they lend you chairs, umbrella and towels to go to the beach. There’s one of the front office staff, I never asked his name but he’s from Argentina, that is very kind and service oriented. They have some bikes to rent, but you have to pay in cash and give a $100 deposit also in cash. Then, Citi Bile Miami is a better option to pay with card. One other thing is that late check out is an available option in the hotel policy. We talked to the front guy to pay for just one more hour and he was not flexible or cooperative at all.

- 5/5
Clean rooms, nice staff, good breakfast!
- 0.5/5
Location was great. Close to beach and close to restaurants. Many things… Bathroom was dirty. Shower door is no longer there so water went everywhere. Toilet ran constantly. Beds were very soft and lumpy. Lamp was broken. Plugs so loose nothing stayed in them. EXTREMELY NOISY. Between hallway and restaurant next door very unpleasant. Management never said sorry nor offered a partial/full refund. For what it cost, definitely not worth it.

Nice location, that’s where it ends. The room was awful. Iron didn’t work, safe didn’t open, tv was 15 years old and sounded like it was under water. The electronic key worked 1/2 the time, we had to keep trying it until it activated the lock. ‘Breakfast’ was a stretch - took one look and passed on it. The staff from the restaurant next door hangs out back after their shift, right outside our room and parties. Wonderful. Certainly wasn’t worth the rate being charged. Or maybe any rate.

This hotel was nothing like what was described online. It was filthy, run‑down, and extremely loud. Whatever was happening there sounded like a circus stomping on your head until 2 a.m. Our room, 109, was absolutely horrible. Housekeeping must have poured a gallon of bleach in the shower—the fumes were overwhelming. The air‑conditioning unit was so loud it sounded like a freight train. To top it off, the man at the front desk wouldn’t even give us a bottle of water upon arrival after we had been flying all day. They had no tissues in the room. The TV did not work. The bed was dirty. We would not recommend this place.

The room is cozy, a couple improvements could be better WiFi in the building asI had to use my hotspot to watch tv. Also the outlets didn't really work so it was hard trying to charge my phone. The breakfast could use major improvement, they serve packaged snack items, Capri Sun drinks, boxed cereal, and coffee so I ended up having to buy breakfast for the week. Next to a restaurant so I could hear everything from my room. Great location, close to the beach and good eats nearby.

We truly enjoyed staying at this hotel and although it may not be a five star, it is an Art Deco hotel and the location was excellent. The staff was very personable and professional. The room was definitely small and one of the beds squeaked but it was clean and served its purpose for our stay prior to our cruise out of Miami. The breakfast was basic but it provided the basics. I would stay again. It’s a great weekender!

Room and parking! The hotel didn’t have a lot of amenities. It wasn’t the cleanest! We looked out the window and our view was a back alley which had a latter to our window. The staff took breaks in the alley just below our room. There were kids running the hall being really loud until almost 11pm. No vending ice machine. They just have a small countertop ice maker for the whole hotel.

The room was in really bad condition. It overlooked the building next doors’s AC system which I couldn’t decide was a good or bad thing because it would be very loud when it was on and the turn of and on but at least it was drowning out the very loud bar we were RIGHT NEXT TO that would blare music in the wee hours. All the furniture was worn out. The worst part was I made reservations 4 months ago. I think they reserve the worst for second party sites like this one which is unfair. The front desk staff were really nice and genuinely tried to be accommodating which is why I am not giving only 1 star.

Breakfast options were horrible. All packaged and nothing fresh. The entire hotel was completely outdated and dirty. Do better. We were placed in a room directly next to a restaurant that was incredibly loud and encroaching our personal space. Wouldn’t recommend or stay here again.

The room was really small and had only a small table and a small tv. The bathroom was clean but the cleaning product used in the bathroom had such a strong bad smell that impregnated the whole room… The location is great, great restaurants around and very close to the beach.

Perfect location, clean room and great staff. Liked complimentary breakfast and coffee. Didn't like the next door neighbor blasting very loud music at 7 in the morning (older hotel so you can hear all the noises but that was pure disrespect from them - that of course did not affect the rating). Had a great stay and will come back.

Room and bathroom were extremely small compared to photos…Continental breakfast was ok… Fantastic location to walk around and enjoy the beach, dining and entertainment…Loved Mangos Tropical Cafe, South Beach… Remember this property is almost 90 years old… Overall property was amazingly clean and felt safe… Key cards kept failing and made a few trips to desk to get recoded.. The staff was excellent and very responsive… Overall we enjoyed our 1 night stay there…

They stay was pleasant overall. The receptionists are super helpful and accommodating. However, the facilities required better maintenance and upgrading. The rooms are not as pictured. Nevertheless, there’s lot to do and many restaurants in walking distance.

A very tired hotel. Everything is rusty and broken... The bed is very uncomfortable. The TV is tiny. There are no blinds on the windows. And you have a choice: close the curtains and sit in the dark or open them and look out the window of the building across the street. Pros: Nice breakfast area. Everything you need for a light snack is available (boiled eggs, toast, jams, fruit, cereal, juices, etc.). There's a coffee machine with beans. There was a cockroach running around, though... but that's nothing new in this city. The renovation is done in Art Deco style, which I really like. It's clear that every detail was chosen with love. But it's been around for a while and needs a makeover. The hotel is conveniently located. The ocean is literally across the street. Close to all the party spots, but not so close that they interfere with sleep. Perfect! Unfortunately, we paid for six nights at this hotel. And I hate to have to sleep on an uncomfortable bed in a broken room...

Staff was not to friendly, did not offer to help while I was struggling with luggage and valet used back of car trunk to put scooter in which made it dirty, also they took longer than expected to come. There was construction going on outside of our window that we were not made aware of, the door to the room kept getting jammed.

Hotel was decently clean. The breakfast was not great honestly kind of sad and depressing no microwave in the room which was a little inconvenient. The hotel is quaint and quirky. I love that they honored it's history and didn’t over modernize it. But you can tell that the renovations (~2018) were a bit sloppy...things like sockets coming out of the walls, sealance spotty around the window sash, etc. You can hear everything going on in the hall and adjacent rooms. The bathrooms are small and awkward (but likely due to it's age). Breakfast was all prepackaged foods. We stayed as a family of 5 in 2 rooms and they put us across the hall from eachother, which was nice. This is definitely more geared towards young couples, girls trips, etc. and not ADA compliant at all - you have to go up steps to all rooms. The staff was nice. They offer beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and bikes - which is a great perk. Parking is $40 cash valet with in/out privileges - just ask for your car well in advance because it takes a long time to get it (~30 min). The beach is within walking distance and the location was perfect - close enough to walk to everything of interest, but far enough away that it's quiet and safe. Would definitely stay here again, just be aware if you have special needs or requirements.

I booked this for a stay on 5/15/25-5/18/25 through Hotels.com, thinking I had found a great deal. I was mistaken. The pictures must be from when they first opened. When I got there, I was very disappointed. There was a strong smell of some sage or something that had me coughing or trying to catch my breath. As we are sitting in the area with tables, I notice that the trash can is overflowing. How could this be a place to serve food, and it looks like this? I was given a room on the 1st floor on the right side of the hall. I walked into the room and was very surprised by how small it was. It was for myself and my son, who is about 6 ft, and we could barely move around in the room. When we pulled back the curtains, our view was what it looked like, the alley or the side of the building with their dirty mops and rags. How disgusting was that for your guest to see! There was a closet that looked old and unclean with a small refrigerator in. I felt overwhelmed and said to the front desk person that I was not happy with the hotel. This was not a place that I wanted to lay my head. My son and I took a walk to just clear my head of everything wrong. I had booked this trip to relax to get my health on track. THIS HOTEL MADE ME VERY STRESSED. When I came back in there was a new person at the desk. I advised that I would like to CANCEL MY STAY AND REQUESTED A REFUND!. He stated that he had 1 other room for me, but the room had the same issue. I just asked for a COMPLETE REFUND BACK!
- 4/5
Great historic spot but quieter than those farther up the beach. Loved being able to borrow beach chairs and other items! Valet was comparably priced for the area and along with the trolley took away the headache of parking.
- 4/5
Take advantage of the complimentary chairs and umbrellas offered by the hotel.

Would never stay again!!!
- 4/5
Everything was ok but may they can add more option for breakfast
- 1/5
Great location but do not recommend at all !!! Very dirty!!!
- 3/5
I liked the art deco appeal and the quietness of the property. It is a bit run down, they need to update the guest rooms and the maintenance issues. It is a great location for a walking everywhere and it is right next to the beach. You honestly get what you pay for here. I would recommend this to friends for a quick and cheap getaway.
- 4/5
НО! Наш номер располагался на втором этаже, пришлось подниматься туда по крутой лестнице с чемоданом. Лифта нет. Окно номера выходило на технический угол здания. Кондиционер работал очень громко.
- 3/5
Our door wouldn't close so you have to use a key to shut it. It was really loud at night
- 2/5
Property itself is average but ok. What surprised me was how rude the front desk staff was in particular the African American man. We asked about parking options and he sounded indifferent and disinterested in providing information. Gave me a leaflet and told me to read it. Parking is valet $40 and has to be cash? I am unsure why it has to be cash. Asked also if there was a cot or single mattress for our 12 year old since there was only 1 bed in room for 3 people. Once again he said no and his delivery was rude and unhelpful. He told me some people sleep 3 adults in 1 bed and the hotel does not judge them. The same info delivered in a different way would have been ok but he was outride disinterested and unhelpful in his communications . Based on this I would not recommend this hotel

This is a classic Miami Beach hotel. The rooms are clean but they definitely have history. If you’re going to stay in your room a lot, this hotel is not for you. But if you want to experience old Miami Beach, this is perfect.

- 4/5
The hotel is very nice. Clean. Good location. Pleasant staff. They have complimentary beach towels and chairs. They have breakfast though mostly « to-go » ones. We wish to have fresh food options but this is good enough. Merci Century Hotel!
- 4/5
Room was clean and had everything we needed to stay overnight after our cruise. The property is as advertised so we didn’t expect a 4-5⭐️ hotel room. What I liked best was value for money (the stay included breakfast & luggage storage), convenience (walkable to areas we wanted to explore) & staff was very friendly & approachable. Just wanted to appreciate Calderon who was at the front desk when we checked in. Thank you so much for all your help!
- 4/5
For a short stay or if you don’t plan on staying in the room much, is more than sufficient, don’t expect much at breakfast, however the location was perfect to get to where you want to go with ease.
- 4/5

- 5/5
It was great stay!
- 5/5
Loved being able to walk to the beach and shops in the morning before heading out on our cruise.
- 4/5
Nice people
- 2/5
Unfriendly staff ( day front desk), dirty room, AC not working properly and so much noise from the Italian restaurant. Clocked sink. No parking. Go there only for the location and nothing else. I have been to 1 star motels much better than that... dosent worth more than 30 $
- 3/5
Pretty old property, with lack of plug points in the room. Location is prime and breakfast is okay.
- 5/5
Great hotel, clean room & bathroom, quick valet service, amazing location.
- 1/5
They were nice and let us check in early. Good stay ended there. Going up the stairs ( no elevator) the railing was ducted taped together very poorly and pulled apart. Tried to use the safe and it set the alarm off asked for help we were given a key to the safe that also set the alarm off. No local channels on the TV it was Sunday wanted to watch football. Got up in the morning to a broken shower faucet and no hot water. After they checked it we were told well it’s almost warm. They did nothing else but offer another room. Not very helpful for a one night stay. Said they couldn’t help with discount or refund because we booked with Travelocity.
- 2/5
Pros: Location is amazing, you are right next to the beach on Ocean Drive. Room was decently clean Wifi was not horrendous like I thought it would be. They have 3 networks, a 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz, and a guest network. I was able to remote in to my home computer and get my work done. It was a stable 10-15 Mbps for anyone who cares. Cons: The door to my room was able to open with no key and almost no force. Super concerning. The pictures of the rooms and even the outside of the hotel are definitely misleading. It's a bit run down. I'm by no means a clean freak but the bathroom is honestly a bit nasty. There's grout and mold in bathroom and the toilet looks like its 100 years old, doesn't even flush right. My first 10 minutes in the room, I hopped in the bed which was pretty comfy to be honest and shortly after, I saw a huge worm climbing the wall right by the AC unit LOL. Conclusion: I booked for 2 nights but only stayed for one. If you book this place, please make sure your room lock works because I ended up realizing after my first and only night that I could literally open my door without a key and almost no force at all. Definitely a huge safety concern that I've never seen before. I think the location for the price is the only thing that should bring you here but you get what you pay for in terms of the room/quality. I'd probably not recommend this place to a friend or book here again, but everyone's experience is different. Just thought I would share mine.
- 5/5
One block from the ocean free buffet breakfast. Small room and no parking onsite but I was going for the closeness to the beach and clean modern hotel
- 4/5
The location was great, close to the beach and the night life of Ocean Drive. No parking had to work with a parking lot to get over night parking. Great to stay for a few days. Very outdated and can use a lot of upgrading, wall paper was falling off, nicks on the hall and floors in certain areas. Pretty decent price, was okay especially if yours just using it to sleep and be out all day.
- 3/5
The lobby was the nicest area of the hotel. The room was smaller than anticipated for 4 guests. The check-in process was easy. As far as breakfast goes, not much was offered — capri suns, coffee, yogurt, bread, sliced cheese, boiled eggs, cereal, and packaged danishes. If you wanted water, there is not a place to dispense water for drinking and you are expected to pay $2 for a water bottle. There is not onsite parking, but there is a public parking lot for $1-2 per hour for parking. They do offer “valet” for $40 (cash only). Perfect walking distance from the beach and restaurants.
- 4/5
A great economic place to stay in South Miami Beach
- 5/5
Room is older and you can hear every person who walks down the hallway. It was clean, the bathroom great, and they have done maintenance to the room. Staff was amazing and knowledgable. Breakfast was highly disappointing. Juice was literally carpi suns.
- 3/5
It was a bit old
- 2/5
The stuff cleaning so bad !!!
- 3/5
Property is not charming but it's alright for a night. Location is very convenient to walk around Miami Beach
- 3/5
I like most location which close to the beach.
- 4/5
Good location, very close to the beach. The only thing missing is an elevator
- 3/5
The breakfast that it’s included is terrible, So you’re better off to go and buy your own breakfast but overall it’s OK for a night .
- 5/5
Friendly and nice environment. Clean and close to everything on ocean drive as well as the beach
- 1/5
So dirty omg!!!!!!!!!!!
- 5/5
Small and cozy. Staff are very nice
- 4/5
The hotel provides umbrella and chairs to use at the beach and none of the umbrellas worked well and i received a broken chair i had to return for another. The hotel ia clean the stafd is available for help at all times. I would stay again.
- 4/5
Great location!
- 1/5
To my dismay, the second room was no better. There were insects crawling on the ceiling, adding to the already disturbing situation. It was clear that the hotel has a serious cleanliness issue that they need to address urgently. Despite bringing these issues to the attention of the hotel staff, I received minimal assistance and no apologies for the inconvenience. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I strongly advise against staying at the Century Hotel until they take significant steps to improve their hygiene standards.
- 4/5
The property is in a good location and close to the beach. The staff is very professional and nice. The only issue with South Beach is the parking. They provide no parking other than Valet for $40 dollars a day and metered parking is hard to find.
- 5/5
Great place to stay day before a cruise!
- 2/5
Pictures look way different than the actual property. Room smelled like bleach and was very humid. Walls are very thin and front desk can hear you laughing and will quiet you down. We were only there for the night & checked out early. Rooms had a coffee maker but no water. Really weird hotel.
- 4/5
Property is very well kept, staff is extremely helpful and polite. Although the property is dated and can use some tlc, it doesn’t detract from it charm and cleanliness. It was odd that one of the rooms we stayed in appeared to have had it’s door kicked in. Perhaps the Spring Breakers from the previous week. Otherwise, very nice place, convenient to beach and eateries.
- 1/5
we payed over 500$ for a room like a closet that the door was broken & round not lock or open! We put a chair in front & to top it off at 2am a fight broke out & people were screaming and throwing furniture & were scared for our safety! We cancelled the rest of the nights but they wouldn’t give us any compensation for that night! Never will stay there again! Moved to the Local House & they were amazing!!!
- 5/5
The Century Hotel is in a wonderful location, 1 block from the beach and away from the crowds that tend to be somewhat boisterous in South Beach.
- 1/5
I wouldn’t stay here
- 4/5
Great location. Needs some maintenance work.
- 5/5
Nice area. Close to everything.
- 2/5
No hot water and couldn’t get the tv to work. Extremely small bathroom.
- 5/5
Cute little hotel super clean & quite
- 2/5
They had a personal ice maker which had been dirty for a while and they had twice cooked boiled eggs as the protein for breakfast. Beware there was mold in the shower head they towels feel extremely grimy I was afraid they hadn’t been washed also you can hear every single thing that was going on around us, footsteps, noise made, tvs, music, etc. It was literally the perfect location! Just needs better quality everything
- 3/5
It’s in Miami Beach easy to go in and out without traffic
- 5/5
It is located in a good position, a good hotel a little reduced in space but quality and price comparison is not bad
- 4/5
Didn't Like Such Small Room ‼️
- 5/5
Great location and affordable!
- 4/5
The property was located in an excellent location. The staff were very accommodating and the rooms were clean and nicely decorated.
- 4/5
Free beach towels and umbrela it's a nice touch.
- 5/5
Great hotel for scary 4 race
- 2/5
yes the location is great. But after staying there i woulnt book again. the rooms are very small. the bathroom is even smaller. (the shower door and bathroom door will hit each other. Theres about a 1'' gap under the door into the room. we had ants in the shower, and the toilet sits againts the corner so you have no room to sit down properly. Theres no elevators so if you have big or alot of luggage you have to struggle to get it up or down the narrow stairwell. we stayed in room 202 witch faces the shanton. the window levers are broken, so if you open the windows its almost impossible to close them. One window was sealed with napkins (im assuming since the levers were broken and couldnt get the window to close right). over all i would not book again nor reccomend this place.
- 5/5

Location
- 5/5
The recepcionist gave me good information for shopping of non common articles.
- 1/5
Absolutely the worst place I’ve stayed ever. My first room was a complete dump then they moved me into a slightly better room, but it didn’t have a rod on the blinds to open them, no toilet paper holder, or racks in the shower. And they weren’t willing to let me out after only one night. And they even suggested that I could leave but would not get any money back. They wanted to rent that dump out again to another poor sucker. Hotels.com should end their association with them
- 4/5
It’s not a luxury hotel however it has all you need, its close to the beach. it has modest breakfasts, the staff are kind, hotel provides all you need for the beach( chaires, towel, umbrella) free of charge. Air conditioner works well
- 2/5
Honestly this is the most bare minimum hotel I have ever stayed at.
- 3/5
Staff very kind and helpful. Rooms clean but need help aged . Breakfast doesn't change same thing everyday, have stayed others selections offered different.
- 2/5
Definitely due for an upgrading and renovation, rooms are small and smelled like wet carpet. First room looks like someone broke into it at some point with a crowbar and the refrigerator didn’t work. 2nd room after asking to be swapped wasn’t much better fridge was even smaller but worked but the bathroom was built awkward had to sit sideways if you needed to sit on the toilet. I guess for the price you get what you pay for
- 4/5
Older property with charm and a great staff. Easy walk to the beach.
- 1/5
Close to nice areas but the property is terrible
