Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the knowledgeable staff, convenient location, and beautiful property. However, there are consistent complaints about slow service at the on-site restaurant, small pool, and few food options. Some guests also mention that the rooms need a refresh and the hotel is overpriced.

1) Very unenthusiastic greeting from receptionist. She merely gave me a key card and pointed to the elevator. We asked for a pool or ocean facing room, but received a construction facing city view. The hotel did not look busy at all to me. 2) Hallways on room floors were hot and muggy. 3) No towels or attendant present at upstairs jacuzzi The hotel was very clean. The grocery store across the street was convenient. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. Although I value cleanliness in my lodging, service ranks pretty high for me as well. I’d much rather giving another location my business.

The location is perfect. We went out to dinner and found many options within 15 minutes or so from the resort. Love the air purifiers as well as the hydrogen water station! Resort is outdated. My daughter had a massage and the masseuse's phone, which was on vibrate, kept vibrating with text messages throughout. Eventually, he was getting a call; this shut off the music (played through his phone) and really disrupted the whole experience. She had 20 minutes without music. Not at all professional.

Cleans, spacious hotel in Miami Beach. Would definitely recommend! Worth every penny. Lot of things to do: yoga, running/jogging at the beach boulevard, well equipped gym, great pool area for both adults and children/families, etc. Little details are that matters: wine cooler was always set for the night and room service came for a turn down service every evening. Will definitely come again! Restaurant and bar closes at 9pm so if you are going to eat or drink after that, you need to go somewhere else.

I suggest cleaning the seaweed from the waves/sand, and leveling the sand.

On the beach, health and wellness oriented, wonderful with a baby. Some of the facilities and parts of the room were old and run down. We were also given a room on a low floor so the pictures were a bit misleading about how nice our view was.

Spa was good, but the view from my room was not. Ocean barely visible, no balcony, overlooking construction next door.

Everything about this place is just wonderful! It started with the staff on check in. The room was so nice and clean. The view was not right in front of the room, but still a great view. The housekeeping was fantastic. The health and spa check in was welcoming and the spa experience was a total removal from the everyday stress of life. My daughter and I also loved the pool and hot tub. Again the staff there was amazing as well. The beach is area from the beach and there is a boardwalk and fitness area to enjoy. Our Easter was extra special thanks to this experience.

Great location, great beach, great spa/gym. Twice (out of 4) I gave the electric rental car to the valet and asked to put it back n a charger and it was not done (after them taking a tip and promising they will do it). Caused a lot of problems for us. Also sometimes it would take a very very long time to get the car. Valet seems to be very poorly run.

The outdoor amenities and spa are fantastic Other than the spa tech and beach staff, who are all amazing, the staff is lackadaisical. The restaurant hostess is straight up rude. And the spa desk messed up one of my bookings cause me to forgo a treatment and a promo deal for no fault of mine.

This hotel is outdated, dirty and has a not so honest staff... the worse thing you can do is over look this review... They are designed for people unfortunately on no budget (very low - life is life).... Even those amazing folks deserve way better for their hard earned money.... I literally decided to get my money back and pay double at another hotel.... They lie like a rug!!!. awful awful awful

Hotel was clean and staff was pleasant Wellness amenities were way oversold. Spa was underwhelming compared to the Faena and Standard hotels. Gym could have had more equipment diversity. Spa hours were limited.

Location Quite place Super clean Bed very comfortable I would like to express my disappointment regarding the efficiency of the administrative processes. There have been several accounting mistakes and overcharges on my account, and I am still waiting for the refund of my deposit from a previous reservation made on January 27. In addition, the daily accidental charge has remained blocked on my credit card for almost a month. Unfortunately, the front desk has not been very helpful in resolving these issues. However, I would like to acknowledge that the Managing Director has been very responsive and professional. I hope these matters can be resolved quickly.

The Hotel is very conveniently located, on the beach and across the street from a grocery store. Some rooms have a kitchenette which is very useful when travelling with a family. Great access to the beach and swimming pools. SPA is great and the hotel offers a wide range of fitness activities. Lastly, the staff at the reception desk was very helpful, especially Tayfuk. Some rooms might need need minor refurbishments and fixing.

Property- Carillon took this over from Canyon Ranch in 2015, and many places on property look run down( rusty railings near the pool, doors to the outside, etc.) and well as under construction. Certainly not a 1000/night property. Staff- 2/3 of the Carillon is residents ( maybe more), and the front desk agent said there are only about 55 rooms in the hotel part. In general, we felt like second class citizens here.We had torrential rain one day and We asked for umbrellas, but they don’t supply any. No real concierge, or doorman either. We booked 2 services in the spa, moved some times around, and then set up our day around that. Later we found out they didn’t move one of the appointments, leaving it in a slot that was no longer possible for us to do. Minimal responsibility was taken. The cleaning crew was amazing, getting everything done when requested! Room- very nice! Very large, and well appointed. We booked and ocean view suite, but we had to basically lean out over the balcony to see the water ( we were put on a low floor in the #12 line of rooms, I.e., 412,512, etc which was 2nd farthest from the water. #10 line is worse). Being an Expedia gold member, should’ve gotten us upgraded but that didn’t happen. I loved the area, and Taquiza and Sushi Bichi are great restaurants, but I’ll look for a different place to stay next time.

IT WASN'T LIKE LAST YEAR THE HOTEL GOT MUCH WORSE. WHEN I ARRIVE THEY GIVE ME A ROOM WITH AIR CONDITIONING NOT WORKING. WHEN I WENT TO COMPLAIN, I RELIZED THAT BOTH PHONES WEREN'T WORKING EITHER. I CHANGED ROOMS AND THE AIR CONDITIONING WORKED, BUT THE NOISE WAS UNBEARABLE. ON THE DAY I WAS SUPPOSED TO LEAVE, THEY GAVE ME A LATE CHECK-OUT, BUT 12 O'CLOCK THEY TURNED OFF THE AIR CONDITIONING. I HAD TO AS FOR DRINKING WATER EVERY DAY, LAST YEAR THEY PUT IT EVERYDAY. THE VALET PARKING TAKE TO MUCH TIME TO BRING THE CAR.

Very nice modern hotel. Loved having the Publix supermarket across the street. Spacious rooms with great kitchenette and bathrooms. The gym was unbelievable. The location of the hotel caused traffic flow to be a bit inefficient since Ubers had to drive around for quite a few blocks of heavy traffic. We also felt it was a bit far from South beach but close to Bal Harbor.

Terrible service. Staff unprepared and complaining of doing their job. Building outdated, needs repairs, not clean, insects coming out of the drain. A 3 star hotel at best. It is a great location though, I give them that.

Spa was amazing and the front desk staff were so helpful. Therapists were fantastic and so knowledgeable. The rock wall was a really cool experience. Smoothies in the cafe downstairs were delish! Concierge and front desk staff were so great. Pools were a little underwhelming. I guess I expected them to be a bit fancier with service on the rooftop.

I celebrated my birthday at Carillon Miami with my two daughters, and the experience was unforgettable. The staff’s warmth and attentiveness made us feel truly welcomed and cared for. Every detail was impeccable, creating a sense of elegance and comfort. The only minor drawback was the lack of hot water on our last day, but it did little to diminish an otherwise exceptional stay.

Wellness offerings were limited — there were plenty of fitness classes but very few meditation, sound bowl, or breath work sessions, which I was looking forward to and expected from a wellness resort. The pool setup was only two pools, and only one served food and drinks. Unfortunately, that same pool was not adults-only, so it was very noisy and hard to relax. The pool was packed with families and young children, so it was not the environment I was anticipating. The spa was not how i remembered it to be. Despite posted rules, they weren’t enforced. Each day it was loud, with guests talking loudly amongst each other, on their phones. On the positive side, the rooms were beautiful, clean, and spacious. The restaurant served excellent food, and the staff at the restaurants, pool, and valet were genuinely kind and friendly. Overall, while there are some great aspects, I don’t know if I’d truly describe this as a wellness resort anymore.

The location was nice. 1) We experienced significant difficulty reaching the property to get answers to our questions about the room and spa prior to our stay. 2) The daytime customer service staff were inflexible and unresponsive to our needs. Our room location was extremely disappointing. We had booked an ocean view room but ended up changing rooms three times. Resorts should not advertise “ocean view” or “partial ocean view” when the ocean is not visible. In our first room, the view was obstructed by a dirty rooftop. It took multiple conversations—starting with the front desk, then the reservations manager, and finally the general manager—before we were moved, two days later. While we were offered a complimentary touchless spa service as compensation, the room location was far more important to us. I will note that Alex, the general manager, was kind, helpful, and the most responsive person we encountered. Additionally, one bell staff member, who was aware of our dissatisfaction, was the only person who asked how our stay was going—something we truly appreciated. Unfortunately, we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and having to move rooms two days later was highly inconvenient, especially after a spa day when we were supposed to be relaxing. 3) The spa setup is not ideal for couples wishing to spend time together, as the facility is not co-ed. We could have made a more informed decision about booking our stay if our initial questions had been answered. We began calling in April but were unable to speak to anyone until August, which was completely unacceptable.

Beach was nice, but sand could have been cleaner for the price point. Drinks at the beach were not good. I got a facial and it burned my face and left welts, but I signed a waiver so nothing I could do. Pools we’re just ok. Restaurant was out of a lot of the food we selected. Too expensive for level of service and quality received.

Everything was great except during check out when the front desk insisted we did valet parking. He walked around asking workers and it was shocking that no one knew what was going on. He also didn’t want to answer any of my questions and just ignored it like he didn’t hear me. Anyway, he didn’t seem like he liked his job nor had any customer service training. It’s too bad because the hotel was great but he left a bad lasting impression. Not the way to end an amazing trip. To HR: you need to coach this individual or give him a back role where he doesn’t interact with clients.

The view of the room #212 was the ROOF of the building. Then, after I complained the view of next room#1003 was next building CONSTRUCTION. The Bed mattress was too soft causing back pain to both me and husband. At 4am had to go to the sofa. The app to modify the hardness of the mattress did not work. Next morning went to reception to explain and the attitude (I believe Chris) of the front desk young lady made me to make my final decision: CHECK OUT. My reservation was for 3 nights and we stayed one night only. The suit was beautiful, the restaurant The Strand was excellent: both the service and food. But our experience with the room selection, bed, and front desk person was not good. Tip: take drinkable water as there is no Water bottles in the room,

The Carillon exceeded my expectations. It was beautiful, the staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, the spa ladies in the spa area, the most cheerful and helpful humans. There were so many wellness options. I had massages (Fabiana was amazing), facial that left my face looking 5 years younger and my favorite was the Ginger scrub! The ease to get a spot at the beach and the service there was also amazing. The food was top notch. The room felt like home. I will definitely go again and recommend for solo or couple travelers looking for a place you literally don’t need to leave for anything during your stay.

I tried smoothies from the corner store on site and those were watery. They have no business center and maybe its because its focus is wellness, people will get called for work at times. You do not get champagne at the spa as so many spas do provide it. In the room, there was no creamer and only 2 packets of sugar for the coffee atation. Theres so much more I could say about why this place was just not worth it. The beds and bedding were fantastic though

This hotel has its own private beach, unlike many hotels in South Beach. It’s also conveniently located right across from a Publix, which is great. There’s a fantastic Italian restaurant called Café Prima Pasta just a block away — try the Fiocchi Rapera if you go! That said, North Miami Beach is very quiet, so don’t expect a South Beach vibe.

The pro, the service was quick and friendly. The cons, looks like it was a 5-star hotel years ago, but definitely more dated and worn now. The spa was very crowded and not inviting or relaxing. For a wellness resort, there were so many kids - definitely not the relaxing environment I was hoping for. The adult pool had a lot of garbage around and no service.

Lovely property. Very strict beach staff that won’t let you eat/drink anything unless purchase at the hotel. I understand - but when you are with kids and need a lm affordable snack or drink that should be allowed. Hotels have made the food options so unbearably unaffordable so this is not appreciated. Constantly asking for you room and whether you are staying there feels low class. Also air conditioner/fab in the room is sooo loud - enough to wake you multiple times a night

I love Carillon. For the last 8 years this is the only hotel i have been staying at. 2-4 times a year. I love the wellness option , yoga , reformer Pilates include in the price. Love the zen atmosphere and how quiet it is. Another amaIZng thing is the restaurant with the farm to table offerings and the beach. Very tranquil. I’ll be back!

This is definitely not a 5 star hotel. Rooms are falling apart. Bloody towels. And the hotel in general has building problems. The coffee shop was also not good.

My sister and her family met mine for a long weekend. We have 4 kids under 10years. The beach access is incredible, but having only one pool the kids could enjoy was tough. We had to find other things to do to change things up a bit. The property is beautiful. We had a relaxing time.

The resort is tired, that’s the bad. We had to have maintenance up for several repairs, hot water in the shower cuts off when someone uses the sink, scale was broken. The staff was great however and very professional and hospitable. It’s a typical resort, overpriced, for mediocre food and drink, and tons of hidden fees meant to pad margins. Overall nice facilities, good beach, beautiful gym and club. Needs a facelift and bring your wallet.

Not a 5-star property. Apartment-style rooms; while it was nice to have more space, the room was very tired. A/C didn't work, terrible smell of mildew when we got back to the room one night, a light fixture just fell off the wall, with no warning. Spa was just okay. Didn't feel very high-end at all. Also has a ton of residences, so there seemed to be a lot of people in their 70s and 80s with grandchildren visiting. Food at The Strand was average. We had a dinner that cost $250., and we had NO DRINKS. WAY overpriced for thequality. Manager was very nice, though, when I let him know about all of the issues in our room.

Carillon was formerly managed by Canyon Ranch. I loved this property as Canyon Ranch and stayed four times. However, I was disappointed with the property under new management as Carillon. I would not stay here again. The service is confused, the beach staff are unprofessional, and the facilities are suffering from deferred maintenance. It is unfortunate.

Everything was great except they don’t have a pool for kids 11-17 years old. They have a pool for small children and an adult pool and are very strict about who is allowed to use the adult 18 and over pool. Also they close the pools at 6pm which is when it’s finally bearable to be outdoors in Miami in August. Same with the beach chairs and umbrellas.

Comfortable family oriented environment
- 5/5
The entire resort & experience was incredible. Staff, service, amenities, everything was 10/10. Will only stay here every time I’m in Miami! To add - I am a young woman who went alone and felt completely safe & secure at the Carillon.
- 5/5
Been there many times, it feels like home away from home. Price point is a bit high but it’s worthy. They make you feel super comfortable and they are very accommodating. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay and the facilities were great. I would highly recommend and will definitely come again.

I was concerned that it wasn’t going to look like the pictures. However This property is for sure a perfect 10. Excellent service -Everyone that I e really nice staff and seemed to like their jobs. Excellent cleanliness Excellent location within walking distance of everything that I wanted or needed . I would definitely give 10 stars if I could!
- 2/5
This property was in a fantastic location. The pools and beaches were fantastic. The rooms were subpar - noticeable dingy. We had several issues while on the property. I would rank this less 5 star -more 3 star.
- 2/5
No any care for guest!
- 1/5
Expedia ripped me off with pricing
- 3/5
Did not like the fact that people can buy day pass My wife and I bought a couple massages and spa was out of robes , literally ( can you imagine). 5 STAR…..?
- 2/5
6 years later and this property took a bad turn. The service at the beach was terrible. The spa and amenities are overcrowded and not maintained. Needs better management and staff training. Not worth it for the price.
- 2/5
He then made a scene by asking for a tip and yelling for a tip in front of people. Shameful. Not staying here again!
- 5/5
The amenities were great, and we have enjoyed the rock climbing, and the wellness for the adult. The only exception was the outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi close at sunset time. There are multiple pools in the property but only one accessible to the hotel guests. Restaurant and grocery stores are located near the property and there wasn’t need for driving or taking rides.
- 3/5
I have always loved this property but they have taken away one pool, yoga studio - fitness area and two yoga classes and made them just for residents so hotel guests lose some of the most best parts of the property. I won’t pay the higher price if these things aren’t included.
- 3/5
Bar closed at 9;30pm, so came home from dinner and couldn't get a drink
- 5/5
The property sits on a lovely and quiet strip of Miami Beach. There is a beach walkway that extends for miles North and South, suitable for walking or bike riding!
- 5/5
Best hotel I have been. I really enjoyed it
- 3/5
Location not the best, staff at gym were unfriendly, spa cancelled our reservation without notifying us.
- 4/5
Separate recycling from regular trash, maybe it was a seperate i
- 4/5
The spa was great. The rooms very comfortable. Location fine. We were there on a Monday and Tuesday which I guess are considered slow, so the nicest restaurant in the hotel was closed. However the bar food was very good.
- 5/5
I usually go 4,5 times a year and it’s consistently stellar experience every time. From the customer service to the ambiance , superb
- 4/5
It was a great place to go to relax, really liked the adult pool and the spa.

This was an awesome experience and looking forward to doing this again

Be careful of hidden check out charges. We stayed 3 nights in a suite, pre paid. At checkout we left around 9am and they just took our room key and then days later we were charged 267 USD with no explanation. Some of this was for valet parking but that should only be 40$ a night. Reached out to hotel and no explanation given. Including our 50$ voucher, there is about 200$ unexplained charge.
- 4/5
If they were letting us know about check in and check out time, before we booked our package, we wouldn't sit our last day of trip on airport.
- 4/5
Very nice and tranquil
- 4/5
Bathrooms in the room were lovely but the furniture in the rear of the room was dated and in need of replacing particularly the kitchen area. Nice beach are but the sun loungers and sunshades needed replacing very old and used looking and the numbers behind each bed which may be useful made the area looks cheap and tacky . Shame as some simple adjustments would really up the luxury feel and at over £450 per night it’s not cheap . However location was ok, near to shops and the staff were very nice. Would also like them to have put the complimentary water in the room and deducted my $50 resort credit towards food and drink off without me having to ask- that’s a bit disappointing - not much I know but still . Kids loved the on-site rock wall this was a great plus as were the gym and the classes . These were great
- 5/5

Alex was great a true gentleman, he accommodated us the whole time. definitely going back.
- 4/5
Valet parking was the only option and that too was 40$ per night was something i didn’t like though. There should be self parking as well.
- 5/5
I’ve been coming here regularly and love the classes, the privacy and the space to rest and rejuvenate. Thank you to all the staff. They are impeccable.

Overall, we had a very positive experience and will likely stay at this resort again. My only gripe was that the daily room cleaning service was not up to par. The cleaning lady did not clean the tub during our stay, this was evident by the soap and grime watermark in the tub so I had to clean it myself; she also left a cleaning agent in the bathroom which was a problem b/c my 1 year old was on the trip with us; and she forgot to take out the trash which my husband had to. If this weren’t a family trip, I’d be fine with these hiccups.
- 5/5

Very nice staff beautiful facilities
- 5/5
We loved how attentive and helpful the staff was if we had questions or needed anything. The property and hotel were beautiful and kept very clean.

I have been in hospitality over twenty years. This area is where I have high expectations. The Carillon Resort is the only resort that has ever met my expectations. The front staff were helpful and friendly. The valet staff were very attentive. Maribel our night staff was amazong. The resort is so clean and smelled lovely at all times. We were not nearly as impressed with Miami as this resort. We will definately come back to the Carillon. The Spa is Ahhhhmazing. Thanks to all
- 5/5
We used their crib for our youngest and it was an actual crib. So thankful because most places only have pack and plays. Just an all around great stay! We can’t wait to come back.

So terrible to have been put in a dirty room in the era of COVID. Also to pay for something and never get it. Awful experience.

Love how its right on the beach
- 5/5
Very relaxed vibe. Pools weren’t loud and overcrowded. Only was able to stay a quick night, but we will be back to spend more time at the property.

- 5/5
Room is spacious, bed is very nice and comfortable, the staff is very nice and pleasant, good is good (although it’s on the expensive side), location is perfect, beach is beautiful, very happy with the place.
