Super 8 by Wyndham - Mesa/Gilbert

If you would like to get high without smoking anything, this is the place. The overwhelming scent, starting in the lobby, was marijuana mixed with air freshener. The building is dingy. The hot tub was dirty. “Breakfast” was a tub of little granola bars and coffee. The staff was unable to quiet a third floor party room at 2:00am.

The staff was friendly This place was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! I had to go and purchase sanitizing wipes to clean my room..the floors were sticky, grimy, just plain DIRTY. The hallways were nasty and dirty along with the outside parking lot and surrounding areas. Take my ad and spend the little extra and GO ELSEWHERE

Pool for the kids Poor cleanliness. No breakfast. Had to ring bell for assistance with checking in. Hair and stains in bathroom and light switches. Lack of towels at pool and in room stain on bed cover

The bed and pillows were clean and very comfortable. The room was large. The air conditioner was effective and easy to operate and adjust. There wasn’t any soap, except shampoo container high on shower wall; no bar soap anywhere. Cleanliness was lacking as someone had left a styrofoam container of old food in the not-very-clean refrigerator. There wasn’t any bottled water anywhere, not in the room or in the lobby.

I appreciated every bit of there business. Theyeven the people outside seemed nice...ur stuff is safe here for sure.....and not too many bad things going on...the rooms were pretty big and had a big shower that could fit 10 people...yay

The location was ok. First, overpaid and realized later that booking.com doubled the price. They also stated included breakfast, it did not. This place is super disgusting. The floors in the hotel were not clean. No maintenance for the pool or spa. The room smelled badly, can tell there was some renovation on floors but walls had dirt splashes on it. The bathroom was gross. The couch in the room was full of stains and we would not sit on it. We dealt with it and will never stay again in a Wyndham hotel or with a number in their title. Also no longer trust booking.com due to overpriced and wrong information given.

The price of the room was within our price range. Check in was relative easy, the coffee machine in the lobby was an added bonus. Got to the room, it really needed some work. From the pee on the back of the toilet to the molding on the bottom of the drywall, all night barking dogs from the room above made the impression that we probably wouldn't book again. Was a bit disappointed about the coffee maker in our room-there wasn't one. The breakfast bar consisted of small granola bars and the coffee maker. All in all, not a stay to remember..

Room could have been cleaner but had 4 dogs and a cat and they let us stay there. So 5 stars for that!!

I chose to stay here and pay the price I paid, because breakfast was included in the price per their website advertisement (false advertising). However, the breakfast consisted of coffee and a granola bar, which only lasted till 9am. In addition, when we checked in there was a a French fry in the stairwell and it was still there two days later. Also, or room smelled like a thrift store. Very disappointed and it cost me more to stay, because I had to buy breakfast for two days.

Had burn holes in bedding a cigarette on the counter key card wouldn’t work but was able to push door open staff wasn’t too friendly with me a little bit of attitude had 3 kids with me definitely didn’t feel safe or clean. The "granola bar" breakfast was disappointing. Even after asking the desk clerk, still couldn't find the ice machine. I assume for security, a stick was placed in the window to prevent opening from the outside. The door peep hole had a piece of tissue stuffed into it. The outside entrance to the rooms hallway was tacky. I won't stay there again.

We paid for 2 nights but could not stay at all due to the intense smell and unclean rooms. All of the rooms had bed stains, burn holes and sticky floors. They all had a very strong cigarette/ pot smell, but one room had such a strong chlorine/clorox smell with the smoke smell that it caused repeated gagging and tearing up.

The blanket was really light weight and there were hairs on it, not mine and hairs on the floor.. One pillow looked dirty.. I couldn't get the heat to work, I could only get a/c to work, it's winter, the blanket was not much thicker than the sheet, I was cold all night. The grout along the walls is old and dirty, stained. It just wasn't clean or clean feeling.. The location is kinda rough area. The hotel is older and has not been taken care of.. I'm being nice giving it 2 stars. I will never go there again and I would not recommend it. "Frozen and grossed out"

I had complaint about this property before, but it is the closest place to the assisted living place we had to visit. Nothing has changed there the staff in the morning and evening acted like it is a chore to serve you. The website shows breakfast and all you get is a granola bar. Our toilet didn't work we had to unstop it. The staff park where you are suppose to pull in to check in. Also I can't believe how much it was for one night we stayed at Best Western in Kingman and had a full breakfast for allot lest a night. I see the reviews are pretty bad can't believe Wyndam keeps it open.

When I took the bedspread off I could see shoe prints on the top sheet. Like they were changing the ceiling lights room overall was not clean. The toilet did not work properly. Just a horrible experience.

The staff was terrible and the "breakfast" is nothing but crap coffee and a granola bar. They will tresspass you if you are 1 second late in making another reservation or just paying for another night. Or just for no reason. I was told that i had to go because of the room i had. One minute the staff is sweet as pie. The next minute they are nothing but snakes and just vile humans. I cant believe i spent so much here just to literally be tossed out into the rain. Everything I owned was wet and ruined. I wasnt even allowed to keep dry during the storm we had the past couple of days. If there was a way, I demand a refund of my entire stay in that hell!

Instead, we walked into a room that was completely unacceptable by any standard. The bathroom sink appeared as though someone had gotten sick in it and it had never been cleaned. The I noticed what looked disturbingly like blood smeared on the door. This wasn't just poor housekeeping, this was a serious sanitation issue. I went straight to the front desk to report what we found and request cleaning. Their response was unbelievable: they told me there were no cleaning staff available and actually OFFERED ME A RAG SO I COULD CLEAN THE MESS MYSELF! When I requested a different room, they refused to accommodate us in any way. This level of neglect and disregard for guests' health and safety is completely unacceptable. I wish I had read the reviews beforehand. Please, learn from our experience and DO NOT STAY HERE. This property failed on every basic standard of cleanliness, service, and responsibility.

I could have paid less to stay at a motel without amenities but I paid extra for them here when they are not available. Very upset that my money was wasted.

The location was great. The facility is self smelled like smoke. They had a pool in the hot tub, which was nice and it was outside the front desk. Staff were not always readily available. The housekeepers had an attitude. The air conditioning work really well.

I requested to change room because the beding had alot burn holes. The attendant gave me another room #317 the room had Not been cleaned. The mirrors, floor, microwave, refrigerator where All dirty. Looks like all the did is the bed. Im hoping to God i got clean sheets. I just was released from the hospital and i did not have it in me to ask for another room or find another hotel.

office staff complained about guests requesting towels, toilet paper, cups etc at the front desk as i made my coffee. They had this conversation knowing that I and another guest could over hear them. After I gave my children a bath I brought my wet towels to the front desk to request new towels I was told that I shouldn't need new towels as I had just checked in. I only had two. I checked into a King bed room that allowed 3 guests and I only had two towels. I shared one of the towels with my daughter and was hoping to be able to return the towels as they were wet. The worker at the front desk was rude and unprofessional. I walked away two pool towels and feeling as if I had burdened the staff. The older couple doing the laundry and cleaning were both very nice to me and were happy that I had cleaned my own room during my stay. two times cleaning service had come by and all i asked for was towels. this should now have been an issue and it set the tone for the entire stay. maid needs to focus on filth in rooms ON AND AROUND TOILET AND SINK, and get some new bedding MINUS THE CIGARETTE BURN HOLES....also hair was all over my room in corners of bathroom floor, even "public"hair in towels...yuck!

These ladies are not customer service oriented at all oh the ones that I've talked to.. You guys need to turn turn this around it's bad for business.. The agent when I checked in initially, the first time was extremely friendly, and she seemed like she knew her business when I went to the elevator to go to my room the elevator had all kinds of trash in it and crumbs from chips strewn out all over the floor I didn’t feel very safe walking around this motel at certain times of the night, and I had asked for a room close to the elevator and they put me down a long haul all by myself in a corner. My window to my room did not close properly and I had to constantly watch my back to make sure nobody followed me to my room, and I constantly took the stairs so that way I was in the open in case I needed or had trouble , and I was literally watching my time I was there was just grungy to point. I had holes in my bedspread. There were corners in the bathroom that weren’t clean very well. The staff did come in and change out my towels even when I didn’t need them they didn’t make my bed or anything , cause I was only there for three days and they only do linens and laundry every three days but I did have a good stay even though the TV didn’t work at all. I couldn’t get it off of a particular source and I wasn’t there very often to use it anyway, so it didn’t really bother me I would probably stay there again just because it was really cost-effective and right on the entrance to the Gilbert Road US 60 West Freeway entrance and my room butted up against the freeway entrance so I could sit and watch traffic if I wanted to

The room and the hallway smelled like somebody had been smoking. We aired out our room with lysol and blocked the bottom of the door. Hallway was bad

The room smell like smoke and there was a dog next to us that bark every time he heard noice the bending machines where next to us and the kids where around them at all times the laundry room was across the room so the noise started at 7am and at 7:30 the cleaning lady walk into the room without knocking

Upon checking in i need an emergency bathroom break. The clerk at the desk said “we don’t have a public restroom. It was only after I pleaded with her that she begrudginglygave me the keys to the employee restroom. When we started walking to the room, everything smelled like smoke, including the room. Then the next morning there was a loud noise and the ceiling was leaking all over the place in the bathroom. we couldn’t shower or anything else because the floors were flooded. I went down and told the clerk at the desk and she said there’s no maintenance available but that she could give us another room. I told her that wouldn’t be necessary cause we were checking out, but I told her that they would not charge us for the room. She told me I need to call Expedia. The room was number 118.

They don’t have a free breakfast. It was a granola bar and a cup of OJ or coffee. It smelled like bleach everywhere which felt like someone just died and needed to be cleaned up. I got sick and checked out after only spending one night although I paid for 3 and they wouldn’t budge on a refund, even just one night. The bed was so uncomfortable and felt like a jail cell with the brick walls. Pay a little more to stay somewhere nicer. I came here for the breakfast but without that it’s a no go.

They house homeless people, it stinks, my bedspread has a cigarette burn hole, no breakfast, the front sliding doors at entry didn’t work, just say no !

Cons. Roaches in bathroom, "free breakfast " consists of 9 granola bars in a small container and a coffee machine. No coffee machine in room. For an inexpensive, basic place to stay, this location is ok. Just wish there weren't roaches.

Rooms were nice the hallway was not nice offered breakfast but only had coffee juice and bars to eat no other food, nothing to close to do there.

I was in room 223. There was a swastika sign spray painted outside my window. The front door didn’t work so us guests had to use the side doors which gave us troubles. There was a stale smell in rooms bathroom. The blanket on the bed was dirty as well and so was the bathroom sink and the inside of the mini fridge and microwave. There is also NOT a breakfast. All they give you are granola bars and the choice of coffee, apple juice and I think orange juice.

There was old food/crumbs in several different places on the floor. There was a large sized “bubble” in the ceiling in the bathroom. During the night, the bubble popped and water exploded all over the bathroom floor. The sink was clogged, which wasn’t apparent at first. I noticed when I was brushing my teeth and the sink started to fill up. Terribly gross. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had in a hotel.

The lobby doors were inoperable and the whole place smelled like marijuana

I notified them immediately and nothing was done to help me nor the sink. I checked out the following morning. Gross

Went to check in and no one was at the counter. Rang the bell twice and no response. Apparently the check in person was in the adjacent office on the phone. Two others employees told her that there were customers waiting and she was at least 10 minutes before she came out. Barely apologized and was rude when she checked me in. Explained nothing about breakfast, checkout time, where to park and load, etc. Just told me my room number and handed me my room keys. Poor check in service.

There was nothing unique about the property. Around the outside of the property there was trash and dog poop. Graffiti was painted on the poles around the pool. The side door window is broken and needs to be replaced before it falls out or someone gets hurt. In the room the A/C was extremely loud and musty smelling. To hear the TV when the A/C was running the sound had to be turned up very loud. The floor in the room was sticky and dirty. As for the breakfast, it consisted of a glass of juice, coffee and a granola bar, this barely meets a continental breakfast which is not what your amenities indicate. If this the way all Super 8s are needless to say we will never stay at one again.

Someone colored in the print of saguaro cactuses in the room that seemed to point out its male member shape. There were cigarette burn holes in the chair. The a/c unit was very dirty and noisy.

Online it looked good and for the price thought it would have been way better than what I got. Definitely would never go again!

I wasn’t expecting a luxury hotel at this price point but thought it would be clean and kept up and entirely no smoking as it was affiliated with Wyndham. Was I wrong. The reservation was made and checked several times as I required a handicap accessible room with roll in shower and a roll away bed. When we arrived the one roll away bed they had was being used and they were out of linens and pillows so we were given a few sheets to make a bed for my son on the floor. It was unsafe for me to use the shower because the shower chair was not properly attached to the wall and I was worried I might fall. The smell of smoke was so strong on the first floor, the nonsmoking floor, that all of us asthmatics were coughing the entire time we were there. The room was not clean, the bedding old and torn, the shower and bathroom were dark, dingy and gross with mildew throughout the shower floor. The “light breakfast” consisted of watered down coffee that looked like tea and a handful of granola bars that didn’t get refilled when they quickly ran out. Do not recommend staying at this hotel. It was disappointing because it looked nothing like the pictures. I don’t know how Wyndham can be affiliated with this hotel and not require that they make some upgrades and maintain a certain level of cleanliness, safety, service, and not be an entirely nonsmoking campus?

For $149 a night I received a dirty tissue on the floor, a loud air conditioner /heater and the comforter had literal burn marks on it. I only used for a couple of house and then went to the Marriot for the reminder of the time. The front desk also had on street clothes and not a uniform but were efficient enough.

I did not like the outdated rooms, the constant smell of marijuana in the hallways, and I personally killed about 6 cockroaches in the bathroom and prayed that none made it into my bags. I didn't expect a luxury hotel at the price point, but this is not at all what I would have expected for 3 nights and $550.00

The room listed for 5 guests. That means three people share 1 queen ben & 2 share the other queen. They did bring in a roll-a-way which made he room a giant bed. We saw a sofa in the add. It was dirty. The breakfast consisted of the smallest granola bar ever. (2bites). It was dirty and was a disappointment for our stay because of a family funeral. Windom was not represented in a good way.

The stay was an improvement from the previous one that was marred by the stench of marijuana this time the bedding on my daughters bed had a growth of mold on the sheets that was not detected until the next morning when housekeeping was informed about the mold the sheets were replaced yet the bed wasn’t disinfected nor was the bedspread replaced

The place is very dated, not filthy but certainly not the best. One big downside is if a property advertises that your stay includes breakfast it should have more than a couple breakfast bars. Coffee was good but the orange juice was empty and the apple juice side was more water than juice

We should stayed for three nights and got the hotel around 11:00 PM. Had I not made reservations already and would he ave moved on. The bed was very comfortable but the room itself was questionable. There was bar soap reside on the tub ledge, obviously not well cleaned. The room maintenance was poor! The sink was pulling off the wall, silicone was used to fill in the gap but it was tearing away as well. About par with non-American owned hotel.

All in all, this Super 8 is in a good area, close to restaurants and shopping. My double queen bedroom wasn't as clean as the king room I had, the first time I stayed here, and it smelled slightly like cigarettes, but the bed was comfy.

This was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. The front desk woman had both her ear bugs in and was chatting with a friend, did not say hello just asked for my id. The room was gross. Buggers inside the shower were smeared on the walls, stained bed comforter, paint on the side taken and door and the smell of smoke the moment I walked into the hotel. Them both patrons on either side of me had loud sex all night long. I will never stay at another Wyndham or Super 8 again.

It was good enough. I was looking for cheap and that’s what I got.

Hotels dot com says it has breakfast, it does not. They put out childrens 25 cent quakers granola bars. Thats literally it. The floor in the room was filthy, like took our shoes off and our socks were dirty in moments. We dont wear our shoes inside and the same goes for hotel rooms. The door was missing a chunk of wood like someone had broken through it. The sofa bed was just one of those cheap click clack couches that my son said was not comfortable. The mattresses were actually comfy though. Our room was right by the pool and it has big lights that are always on, and the curtains werent long enough to block out the light so it was hard to fall asleep. The room was big which was nice but the ac didn't seem powerful enough to cool the room. Staff on check in didnt give me any info and seemed annoyed I was there so I just took the key. Shortly after I got a text asking if i had any questions and i asked about breakfast and got a text saying no one was available and theyd answer soon. They never did. The whole place stunk of cigarettes and even though the room was supposedly nonsmoking when you opened the door it was pungent every time, though once in for a few minutes it seemed less awful. At any rate I definitely paid too much and if you pay over 80 bucks you too paid too much. Oh well. Live and learn.

I walked in to the bathroom to find a large clump of hair in the toilet. Graffiti on the vanity. Holes in both bedspreads. Sticky floors. As a result, we avoided using the shower. Elevator floor had streaks of mud on it. No SMILES from either the night or morning front desk personnel.

This was an awful experience. The front desk lady barely spoke or looked at us. The entire place smelled like marijuana (even at 8am). The guests above us must have been playing basketball at 6:30 this morning. There was hair still on the bathroom floor and in the shower. There was public hair on the back of the toilet. When I woke up during the night to use the restroom a roach had to climb back into the drain. There was a piece of wood securing our outdoor window. A man outside was selling sunglasses and another man was asking for cigarettes. This will be a never again for us!

For a place to sleep and shower this is great, but the bedding had burn holes. The deadbolt on the door didn’t work. The bathroom door had been kicked in once and “repaired” but latched poorly. Hotel room window was cracked and just taped over. The wall ac definitely needs a filter and cleaning as the air coming out has a unique smell. The hotel hallway smells of pot and cigarettes. Multiple vehicles in the parking lot with windows that have been broken out and covered with plastic or tape. Definitely not someplace I would take my family to stay, but good enough for a work trip.

And I’ve been an Orbitz customer for years Recently, I was discharged early from a hospital in Phoenix because my insurance stopped paying for my treatment. I am from out of state and had a back injury and was unable to walk.. needing lodging quickly I made a reservation at this Super 8 hotel but my discharge date was changed. I attempted to cancel or change the reservation through Orbitz, but was unable. I then called the hotel trying to change the reservation or cancel it. I was told this was not possible. the manager of the hotel phoned me I and explained my situation. He agreed to just charge me the no-show fee, which was one day stay and some few extra dollars.. when I looked at my credit card online they had charged me the entire amount of the reservation, almost $600, and I never set foot in the place. I contacted Orbitz again and told them what this Super 8 was doing. They attempted to convince the hotel to only charge me the no-show fee but they refused. I have no choice but to dispute the entire transaction with my credit card company. If they do not refund the money minus the no-show fee, I’m going to make life as difficult as possible for them.

When we arrived on 1/25/25 to check in around 6:00 PM the clerk behind the counter was very racist, that is ironic because she is African. She was very dismissive, and frowned upon in providing service.

This place had loiterers in front of the building smoking near the entrance. The lobby, elevator, the hallways, and my room smelled like smoke. I had to wait in the lobby for over 2 minutes to get help. My room was terribly noisy I could hear the couple in the adjacent room involved in having-well let’s just leave it at that. I left this place a day early to avoid the bad experience I had the night before. Lost the moneys I paid for the night I wasn’t there.

It's more or less what you expect from an inexpensive hotel/motel.

The sheets were dirty with something that looked like blood. Asked for clean bedding and was told to change the sheets myself. The mattress pad under the sheets were heavily stained and dirty as well. There was also hair on the pillows and blankets.

With other guest felt unsafe No shampoo or conditioner no breakfast Didn’t change my sheets

Beware the “breakfast included “ really means office coffee granola bars. Not even a sign of to-go banana. Wholeheartedly encourage not yo stay here unless you absolutely have no other options.

Average room with clean linens and a good shower. Check in was easy and accurate. Floors, tables, walls, handles, switches, phone and tv remote were grimy.
