From the moment we walked into the lobby, we were greeted in such a friendly warm manner, and the woman was so quick and efficient to get everything checked in and settled for us. The lobby was spacious and calming, but it was the staff that made all the difference. I wish I could remember her name, but she was so good about making sure we had a room on the first floor she thought of everything before we even arrived because I had two of my grandkids with me. She thought of everything ahead of time that I really appreciated. We were close to the pool close to the lobby. It was great. The breakfast was really good. There were a lot of choices and everything was top-notch plus as a bone as they had really great coffee machines in the lobby with various flavors for creamers that was available 24 /7. I have to travel again in July and I’m gonna be staying there again. The pool was a little on the smaller side, but it was great because we had it all to ourselves two times we went in the pool was clean and well cared for the hot tub was at a perfect temperature. It made for a very enjoyable experience and our beds were very comfortable. Rooms were clean and well stocked, I was very impressed with the entire stay. Even the staff member on our second day was very friendly and helpful and courteous.

The staff was awesome, our card key to the room would stop working. We changed keys like 4 times. Room 209 the ac unit is extremely noisy. The staff puts us in another room.

Everything was good except the bathroom. The bath top was very slippery and hard for seniors to stand in. My husband hard to hold onto the handicap bar the entire time while showering. Also, you need to update the toilet since it sits so low it is difficult for seniors to get up off of it.

Great comfortable stay. Breakfast was great, with hot food and good choices. Beds were comfortable,rooms nice and clean. Would definitely stay here again when in town.

Also, when utilizing the elevator after going to the pool area, I had gotten stuck between floors briefly. The staff had told me that they just got the elevator fixed. Apparently not well enough. The room was in good condition and the breakfast was the typical continental style. It was really just the minor issues at the pool and the little scare in the elevator that, with some attention to details by the staff and company, would make this place pretty nice.

Definitivamente no recomendaría este hotel para nada, llegamos las puertas y no se abren las Lightning Door. Tienes que pararte directamente al sensor para que se abran. El staff no habla casi inglés son indios y tienen un acento bien marcado que ni siquiera yo lo puedo entender segundo, el hotel huele a viejo tercero el elevador dura horas y solamente hay un elevador para todo el edificio tercero llegamos a la habitación o a los pasillos, huele a cigarro y a marihuana. Cuarto entramos y la manija de la puerta estaba toda grasosa, no sé de qué llegamos y olor a cigarro y a marihuana adentro del cuarto revisamos el baño y las camas y había pelo negro y como de perro también así como en el zinc en el lavabo y en el baño habían limpiado, pero la carpeta huía muy feo. Una mala experiencia en ese hotel no se los recomiendo. Tengan cuidado porque no les van a devolver su dinero Dinero si lo agarran por medio de Expedia, porque no es reembolsable.

Everything was pretty good. Room keys were off and on working. The 24/7 coffee availability wasn’t working at 5am one morning when I needed it most. The facility was quiet and clean.

The light switch to the bathroom was located on the outside wall and the sink was outside the bathroom as well. The exhaust fan sounded like a jet engine , so if either of us neede the bathroom during the night, it meant the other person was awakened as well. The only tolerable aspect was the breakfast. However, after a very restless night we weren’t exactly able to enjoy everything thst was offered.

Our bathroom had hair on the floor and in the shower. And, that was the second room they put us in because the original room the door lock was broken. The pool and hot tub were dirty. There was only one elevator without any stairs, so lots of waiting to get up and down.

Staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean. The only knock i can give this place was the pool. Pool furniture was dilapidated and the pool lifts were not operational.

Staff were great. Breakfast was good. Beds were comfy. Air conditioning and room made a high squeaky noise. You could not see TV from one of the beds so we as a family had to all sit in one bed because the TVs did not tilt or move. The pool was dirty cloudy you couldn’t even see the bottom and hot. There was transient in the parking lot walking through bumming cigarettes looking through ashtrays. There was only one entrance through the main door. All other doors were locked at all times to enter.

Better than average. Apple cider was great. The gravy tasted like a can of mushroom soup.

The table had a scratch on it and the room smelled like wet dog, no housekeeping and I stayed about 12 hours at the hotel in my 2 days. I couldn't handle the wet moldy dog smell. Staff was nice the only person there I saw. I understand the holidays but I paid 200 dollars for this. I'll be staying at a different place for now on. I frequent Arizona from California a lot

It was a spacious room with comfortable beds. It needed some more lighting. It had a microwave and fridge which was convenient. The room smelled, like it was a smoking room in the past. The carpeted floors didn't feel very clean. The bathroom fan was super loud but there was no option, if you wanted a light you had to have the fan on too. The toilet was super loud (running after a flush). If anyone went to the bathroom during the night, they woke up everyone in the room.

First room had a bathtub full of dirt and hair. Had to change rooms. The side access doors on 2nd floor do not work (one had tape over it), so you can only exit on the side of the building. The desk attendant was very helpful and tried to help the situation. All of these things were out of his control and he did his best to make things right for us. But I would never stay here again.

First of all the staff were very friendly and helpful, thanks to them. The property was disappointing to say the least. Not up to the standards we've come to expect. I stay in HIEX because the experience and rooms are typically very good. I feel like I am going to get a nice clean room in a well maintained property. This property was just sad. Obviously an older property in desparate need of a facelift. Everything there had the appearance of being repaired one too many times. Had trouble with the toilet that eventually required a room change, but overall the property is not up to the standard expected at this chain.

Disappointed….. if you have kids that want to swim don’t stay here. Bed was uncomfortable can tell was very old cause it sank down big time. You can tell the property is NOT kept up at all

The bed was very uncomfortable. Felt like I was gonna roll off the side due to edge of bed being warped from people sitting on the edge of the bed. Also the bathroom was a bit small.

Night manager was friendly and provided quick service. Hotel and room were pretty clean, however the room was very damp, key cards failed frequently, and breakfast was awful. My main complaint is that the day staff replaced our room key without any identification or even questioning our name. This is a serious safety risk.

The room reeked of over use of cleaning spray of some kind. Had to ask to change rooms. My eyes were red and watery . My husband and I felt nauseous from the over powering smell. Maria at the front desk moved us immediately. She even checked the other room for any orders. She was very kind and helpful.

This place needs a deep clean! Tub and sink drains back up. Every corner of the room was dirty. Our window shades would not go up and it had so many holes from being sun baked it was crumbling into pieces. The breakfast was adequate but no where to sit on the weekends. Would not recommend.

This is an older facility and not an original HI Express. And it shows. The rooms are much smaller, the breakfast area is really small. However food is the same and coffee is good.

The condition of the facility though- it's getting more rundown. Holes in the towels and sheets, parts in the gym broken, carpets worn, things missing (like hand sanitizers in the gym). Electronics never seem to work (key cards failed frequently), TV was missing many channels.

Upon check-in, we found the room lacked enough towels for our group, and although we were told there were sheets for the trundle bed, this wasn’t the case. When we requested them, we were asked to go down to the front desk ourselves, only to be handed two duvet covers instead of proper sheets. To make matters worse, the trundle bed was dirty when we pulled it out, with visible debris, indicating it hadn’t been vacuumed or cleaned. These issues, along with the lingering odors, greatly detracted from our experience and suggest a need for better attention to cleanliness, preparation, and overall guest comfort.

The best part of this place was the breakfast!! One of the BEST complimentary breakfast EVER!! Real bacon!! 😋 DELISH!! 👍 My only complaint/ dislike is the beds. Our bed was 1) too soft 2) the bed had like a plastic (?) noisy bed cover & everytime one of us moved around O could here it. I disnt sleep hardly at att. Oyher than that,its a nice place.

The morning desk staff are horrible!!!! As I was checking out this morning around 9:40am I went into the dining area to grab an egg to take with me. That women literally ran from behind her checkin desk to get right in my face to tell me breakfast was over at 9:30 and I had to leave!!!! No one was there to clean up the breakfast area, nothing at all. People were still eating. She just felt the need to approach me like that for some reason. I have never experienced such a vulgar person. I will never go back. Sad as HI express has much better staff in the best!!!

I was allowed to pay for a night. And within 20 min. Was told to leave and that I “lost the money” The bed was comfortable, shower was warm, area was nice, night staff was helpful, it was a great stay. All until the day time lady targeted me.

Nice property, nice breakfast area that was kept fully stocked, small workout facility, but provided towels, some free weights and a couple of treadmills. Overall, it was a great deal for an overnight stay while traveling through with a refreshing breakfast.

I must say, I come here often for work and am always happy with my stay. I dont eat the breaksfat but have seen it looks great. But my last stay last week was extra awesome. I made a dumb mistake in my booking and the staff handled the issue, taking care of it and me with such courtesy. I really appreciate how they helped handle my mistake and got me checked in. I really appreciated their kindness and efficiency..

Blinds were broken, and I had asked for a shower chair, but never got one. Other than that it was good.

Excellent. Had a weird experience at checkout with employee acting “mad” that I was checking out early, but had paid? He said bothering to me. Nothing. Just his energy or vibe. I finally said “ok we’re good?” And he said nothing and so I walked off.

Great front desk staff but that’s where it stopped — the room had a strange smell, the sink didn’t drain, and the fitness room had no space to actually do the weights that were available.

We only stayed the night but 'everything' was fine. Not overly fancy but very adequate. Well worth the price.

Great place to stay. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great continental breakfast. My only complaint is not their fault. Large group that stayed for a baseball event took over the amenities. The hot tub became a swimming pool for a bunch of kids, so we were forced out. The only 4 top table was taken over by a bunch of kids who needed the charging ports to watch iPads while they ate, our family of four had to eat separately. Other than that, we were happy with the hotel and the beds were very comfortable.

Couldn't get into our room! Room key card never worked properly even after multiple staff attempts at creating new key card. I give credit to the staff for trying to fix this problem but the issue seems to be defective, broken equipment. "Clean" towels were stained when delivered to room.

Got early check in and late check out, we were stranded due to our airline going out of business. Complimentary cold water to drink. Staff was very accommodating. Just lovely.

Overall cleanliness was good. The breakfast needs work. Fresher items. I believe my wife and I got sick from the hard boiled eggs. Better quality food prep is in need.
