Room was comfortable with a great bed and blackout curtains, and a well appointed bathroom. Minor notes: there was no coffee in the room, only tea, and the A/C "whoosh" sound was louder than I would have liked to the point where I turned off the fan at bedtime. Temperature in the room stayed pleasant all night despite this. This would be a "go-to" hotel for me on future visits to the area.

We went out dinner that evening and returned to the hotel for a cocktail but the bar closes at 9pm. On Sunday the main restaurant is closed so no full breakfast/brunch.

The only thing is my room was at a busy corner of the hotel partly facing the main Street so I was noisy in the morning during rush hours 6 to 10. The other thing was the TV stopped working while watching the tennis games for a couple times. Will consider coming back next time visiting SF !

Really amazing hotel. I’m lucky enough to stay in nice hotels, like the Four Seasons, and this one is right up there. Lovely touches and well thought out design. Will definitely stay here again.

The staff was very unfriendly. There is something a miss with how they treat patrons. We checked in and they told us all the food options. Then the same staff member, josh, said there would be no food options for the entire day. Sundays they don't do food.

Above all, the wonderful service at every level. Terrific, thoughtful individuals. This alone would make me come back. Room and bathroom terrific. Walls a little thin. Not horrible, but not completely soundproofed . While really nice, weird location for the gym. A little too pricey , I think.

Great place to stay in Menlo Park. Room was very clean and surprisingly quiet given that it is located on a busy street.staff was very friendly and helpful. Coffee was put out very early (4:30am) in the lobby which was great for those of us on EST Coast Time! Would definitely stay here again.

Recommend perhaps adding a QR code to room to help guests understand how to navigate in room dining, car return, etc. I did not initially receive the concierge text so had to inquire about these things - a QR code would aid both guests and staff. When checking in I was asked if I needed a luggage cart - I did - but no offer to help get it up to my room so ended up taking up and returning myself. It’s a very nice hotel with friendly staff. I didn’t like the mandatory valet parking for $30 per day. But it was necessary since there was not any other long term parking nearby. However the valet staff was friendly and accommodating. Valet parking did make it convenient, just expensive when you tack on taxes and tips.

So clean, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet and the staff was very friendly and responsive. Also, filtered water by the ice machine!! Extra toilet paper wasn’t in the room, but that’s it! We got it from a lovely staff member cleaning the room next door.

The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The housekeeping team does a great job every time they clean up the room when I was away during the day. Reception is very friendly and helpful as well! I wish that was a option for cool tone light as the lights in the room are warm tone only.

This is one of the loveliest hotels we've ever stayed in here in the US. The room was beautiful and well equipped. Fantastic bathroom. Wonderful bed and pillows. Delicious in room coffee. And the staff could not possibly have been any nicer. Every single person we spoke with was wonderful. We can't wait to go back.

My wife and I love Park James. Whenever we stay in the Bay Area, we stay at Park James. Conveniently located in the middle of the peninsula so you can drive anywhere. The rooms are really nice and they are clean. The bed is really comfortable (I'm really picky). The bar is awesome. Haven't eaten dinner at the restaurant yet but numerous people we know rave about it. Stanford shopping mall is right down the street. The staff is always friendly and helpful every time we stay there. Would highly recommend stay there.

It’s a shame that the bar closes at 9pm on a Friday night. Seems like most of Menlo closes at 9:00pm which is disappointing seeing as there are so many young adults coming now for music, good food, and cultural events.

Truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel while on business in Menlo Park. Love the high ceilings and the absence of carpet in the room. And the on-site restaurant is a very good spot to grab dinner in the evening (the whole breakfast operation, however, could be professionalized...)

This is a wonderful hotel in Menlo Park. It is one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. Room and hotel had a modern vibe. Excellent restaurant, bar and outdoor seating. Customer service oriented staff was very friendly and helpful. The only problem I had was with the valet service they’d hired for their St. Patrick’s day event. They were mean, bossy and rude. After the evening of the event the front desk employee brought out my car from the garage. No issues with them. Rates for the rooms were very reasonable.

The wi-fi went out during my stay which was a real issue given I was on a business trip and the hotel has very poor cell reception. Bathrooms did not have several basic toiletry items (cotton pads and swabs, shower cap, slippers) although did have sewing kits. My room faced the street so there was a fair amount of road noise. The front desk is also staffed by only one person and there is no bell or other way to reach them if they step away (as they seem to do, quite often).

Hotel was clean and the staff courteous. The only problem was the street noise. There is train track just behind the Hotel, Hotel is on a busy street and at 6 am a fuel tanker truck stopped on the side of our room and for one whole hour he was making a very loud noise pumping fuel. When I told the front desk at the checkout, he said oh this was the first time I saw the truck!!!

My daughter and I came for a trip to tour Stanford and this hotel was fantastic! It was super clean and new. The service was outstanding (especially Tony at the front desk), Rene in the restaurant and everyone else we encountered. We ate dinner in the restaurant and the atmosphere was lovely and the food delicious. We loved the outdoor patio but were unable to enjoy it due to the rain and cold. This would be a perfect spot to enjoy cocktails in the spring.
