Condo was spotless and very spacious. Bed was pretty comfortable, bathroom was huge, and plenty of seating in the living area. Nice patio too. It was very quiet. We didn't hear our neighbors at all. There are 2 condos for each door. Would definitely stay here again. Lots to do and beautiful!

We had problems with our fire alarm going off on and off throughout our weekend. At one point it went off at 5:30 am and woke us up. This problem didn’t get fixed for a while. Other than that it was a great stay!

Check I. Wasn’t bad but staff was new and didn’t know a lot but tried so I appreciated that. The room was large and loved the balcony. Check in was at 5 and we got there a little after 6. Once we got into our room we wanted to go to the hot tub. There wasn’t one near us or within walking distances. The heated pool would have been nice but it closes at 730. Then all the restaurants on site close at 9 and no delivery. We thought it would be more resort like but it wasn’t. The sofa in the room was nasty and the bathroom not inviting. Floors were dingy and bugs around. One good thing was free laundry. The tv was difficult and streaming kept falling out. Checkout was easy but they ask you to do a lot and for the room to not look clean I’m not sure how they expect the guests to do all this work when they aren’t doing any cleaning. Not sure we’d stay again

Check in wasn’t convenient, had to ask 2 people where to go! Staff was very helpful during check in. But, after staff tried to sell us on a time share and we refused a walk through/2 hour, staff no longer greeted us when we entered a building/location, they only spoke if spoken too! When we went to our planned activities, the staff saw us standing waiting for the time, they didn’t speak at all to us, even after making eye contact! After it was time for the painting activity to start, they didn’t switch the sign from closed to open, and still didn’t tell us to come in. We eventually walked in after about 3 minutes had passed after the time it was supposed to start. We entered, they didn’t acknowledge us, so we asked can we come in and then staff said yes. The experience just wasn’t good customer service! We then went to the indoor water area, and staff didn’t speak or greet you even when we stood in line to purchase tickets, they only said hello when it was our turn to be serviced. Once we entered the water area, the staff spoke but after we turned down a tour again, they no longer spoke, greeted or made eye contact afterwards! The room was ok, nice views, but the mattress in the main bedroom was horrible, it was noisy, and felt like we were sleeping on wood and springs! After two nights of the mattress our backs and hips were in a lot of pain! The pillows were like child or pet pillows and not large enough! Hopefully they will improve on the above mentioned issues!

When you check-in they have go to another desk to get your parking pass where they’ll ateempt to get you to fall for their ‘tour the property’, but is actually to sell timeshares. Once you call them out on it, they try to backpedal, but thankfully for us, they weren’t pushy. They second time we went there they had upped their game to get people to sign up. The hotel that was assigned to us was extremely dated. It was a mismatch of 70’s lighting and 90’s/early 00’s interior design in the room itself. There is no elevator which wasn’t a problem for us, even though we were in the basement floor, but for many others it was not good. Our room smelled of heavy perfume someone’s grandmother would wear, carpet stained, dirty tabletops, and the locks were barely hanging on. There was also a big gap between the bottoms of the door and the floor so I jammed a towel to make sure nothing got in and stopped our door from moving around everytime someone slammed their door or opened the outside doors.

Sorry to say, it was a sad time for this hotels.com booker. We booked a 1-night stopover on a long drive and were given a dusty room. When our key didn't work, we had to drive 5 miles back to the headquarters for a new one and then back to the room again, just to take our luggage in. There was not food at Hotel 4 (other than vending), so another drive to a restaurant. I believe they WANT it to be good, but this particular area of the resort has been neglected.

We went with our 2 grandchildren and had a nice time. My only complaint is that so much was. Kissed but we weren’t alerted to this when we booked. It was right after Memorial Day weekend and while there was always one resto and one pool open, so many were closed. They need to warn guests about this when they book!

The room was really nice, until you wanted peace and quiet. It was like living in a "luxury" apartment in the city where just having granite counter tops makes it luxury. You hear the people next door to you just talking, so you can't even enjoy the living room, and you can hear the people upstairs stomping around. Trying to sleep was awful. The bed was so thin and stiff it hurt my back every night. Even the pillows were thin and small. Then on top of it, the bathroom would make this super loud banging noise every 1-5 minutes after the person upstairs started the shower and it would do it for HOURS after. It would wake me up out of a sleep. They're doing a lot of construction on the mountain, adding more hotels and not fixing the infrastructure, there is already traffic on the resort. Feels like they are trying to make the resort very commercialized and anyway to get a buck out of you.

Pillows were dirty, called the housemaid but no response just leave a message, they never came to bring clean pillows, neither an extra blanket that I requested. What really ruined our vacation trip was they give false advertisement. I mainly booked this stay because it clearly says, water park access for my little ones, they even have the pictures of the water park in the web page but it is not included. When I asked about it in reception they told me that I need to go inside the water park to buy the entrance tickets which was $85 per child, and $41 per adult observer only. Outrageous!!!! I will never come back to this place since it was expensive and they give false advertising.

You definitely offer a variety of different activities to keep children and families busy. The rules you have may not make sense! It needs to be able to make sense! I purchased 4 rounds of tubing for my husband and my son of 5.5yo. they went together twice and then when my little one got tired and cranky and afraid of the speed, I asked if I could go for the last two rounds with my husband instead of my son. They girl had the nerve to sit there and tell me that my kid who I filled up the paperwork and paid for had passed some sort of special screening inside the office and he was safe to go tubing and because I hadn't gone through this special screening, I was not eligible to go tubing in his place. What?!?!?! There was no special screening!! It's my fault for even asking and not switching the tags on us. If this is how you treat honest people with rules that make no sense then there is no need for me to return and spend time, energy and money there. She saw that I was already stressed with my little one being cranky and afraid to go so she could have easily made the situation better by allowing us to swap since we had paid for the rides! You also have signs that people without tickets shouldn't go past a point...then how would we take photos and videos of our family and friends tubing down? It feels like whoever made these rules doesn't have a family or kids so please review them and have them make sense. When you do review them, feel free to reach out and explain you have actually done something about this, and we can consider coming back!

The property has great restaurants and a lot to do. Staying in the condos was an amazing experience. The spa was absolutely perfect for rest and relaxation. The only downside of our stay was the front desk staff. The check in part was great, but when you get your parking pass they offer to schedule a tour. They are VERY pushy about taking the tour of the facility for massanutten dollars. I said no about three times and the lady continued to pressure when I had a full weekend trip planned and had no time for a tour. Literally anyone else was extremely helpful and made our stay a great one.

There was a lot to do on the property, most things have to be driven to. My reservation was given to somebody who checked in earlier than I did with the same last name. We did get this switched out however I had a two day stay and the morning is day too. I receive a text thanking me for my one night stay, so I had to go through hoops to prove to them that I had booked for two nights they claim it was a glitch in their system that caused it. Also, if you have a young child wanting to use the waterpark be prepared to pay an observers fee to sit in the park and watch your child. It was close to $90 for three people to enter the waterpark and that’s two of them just sitting in chairs watching.

We were given rec center passes, only to find out upon arrival that the arcade games still required additional payment. The restaurants were mediocre, and there aren’t many coffee options on-site. I ended up driving off the resort for coffee before realizing the market sells a small selection with a limited menu. The only other coffee shop was inside the water park, which you cannot access without purchasing water park tickets. We didn’t do many resort activities because most extras were overpriced. Instead, we chose to spend time at the mall and a spa off the property. Booking information for the spa on the website was unclear, especially regarding pricing. This was supposed to be a relaxing Mother’s Day getaway for my family. Unfortunately, the timeshare tour offered on our checkout date was not a pleasant experience. Had we known beforehand that this was a timeshare resort, we likely would have booked elsewhere and skipped the tour entirely. Once we declined purchasing a timeshare, the sales staff became noticeably rude. That being said, the general resort staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay.

We were in town for a wedding and spent most of our stay attending offsite wedding events, so we did not really have the opportunity to fully explore or enjoy the resort amenities during our visit. While the staff responded quickly, the experience impacted the rest of my stay. I spent much of the trip feeling uncomfortable, constantly checking for bugs, and worrying about bringing them home with us. The resort offered four park passes as a goodwill gesture, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, after the experience, we did not feel particularly eager to return, so the resolution did not fully address the impact the situation had on our stay. We do have a year to use the passes, so perhaps with time we may reconsider. In fairness, our group had three different units spread across the resort and no one else reported similar issues, so this may have been an isolated incident. However, it still significantly affected my ability to relax and enjoy the stay.

There is no front desk at the building, no visible security, no cameras, and no on-site staff available if you need help. The check-in office is about a mile away, which makes the whole process inconvenient, especially after a long trip. Overall, the setup feels very disconnected and poorly communicated. Guests should be clearly informed that the rooms are spread out in a forested area and that there are no basic on-site services. I would recommend better transparency in listing details so people know what to expect before booking. I checked in and saw the room and checked out next movement and wasted my money

Nothing. The room looked like it wasn't clean. Really run down and very bottom barrel. Hair left on the pillow and the showers. There was a hole in the ceiling so I became nervous about that. Pictures has things all over it. Looked gross. My kids were disappointed and I felt horrible I let them stay in a room like this. I would not recommend to other people. No one came to clean, just put the stuff on the door. I thought I was getting a condo but I guess it was a hotel but you would think for a hotel that the room would have been cleaned. There's no privacy, you can hear everything between the rooms. Usually booking.com does really well but this was so disappointing and I'm embarrassed to say that we stayed there.

The resort itself is really nice however the staff is really bad. This was our second time going there because we love the resort itself however the staff is really rude. I asked them for some coffee and i was told that whatever is in the room thats all guests get. The next day i asked for shampoo in the morning and nothing was brought until i had to call again. And whenever you ask them for anything they just get soo rude.

The location of the resort was great. Close to some nice places to eat. About 8 miles from everything. The scenic views were great though we didn’t get to see it all this trip. The unit we stayed in was not very clean at all. Upon check in we cleaned it ourselves. Wiped down counters and bathroom. One of the beds was broken so we took video to show the check in desk. The curtains were missing some clips so we took pictures and went back to check in to make sure it was documented. Last night we noticed in the kitchen area a few roach bugs which I reported at check out.

The condo was clean and resort was nice. Would have appreciated some lighting on the mountain roads at night. Also if the adults only hot tub at the water park is closed I would recommend making the other hot tub for adults only as that was the main thing I was looking forward to but it was closed.

We ended up having to call again the following day to ask them to fix it. Which they came and did. That second night , we did not get much sleep because a load noise sounded as if was coming from the a boiler room every 20 mins and lasted about 6 seconds would jar us out of our sleep. We didn’t bother to call because we honestly thing they would take care of it so we just waited to leave the following morning. The condo itself was clean and spacious and the appliances worked ok, and the staff was ok. Beautiful property and relaxing atmosphere. Still not sure if we’ll be returning.

Everything was close by, the staff is very friendly and the place is clean. But the water park is dated and needs more slides for the price you pay. Tubing was fun but you could barely hear the music and the lights were few. There isn't much to do other than that and what there is to do is very expensive.

I didn’t come to the resort to be hostage to the timeshare scheme. I was detained for 4 hours. They really wouldn’t accept No as an answer. I am a diabetic and I repeated several times I needed to take my meds and refused the timeshare. Finally I just walked out. They owe me $50 I gave them cash for breakfast if I would listen. I did for 4 hours. I would like my $50 back asap.

Never been there before, and they offered a tour of the place. Sounded nice until it turned out to be a time share scheme in which my son and I were berated for refusing to take out a 14k loan. They told me I was letting my family down because I would make an impulsive decision. Ruined the whole time, I will never be spending another dime.

I’m sure I’ll run out of characters if I write the full experience so I’ll hit the highlights - staff from high to low is incredibly rude especially bar staff. The front office is almost nothing but teenagers who couldn’t care less about being there. They hang up on you, transfer you to someone else who also will hang up on you and then when you call back they keep declining the call so you have to come to the lobby. Appliances dont work. Maybe half of the outlets work. Was told by one manager “hopefully it works out for you”. The only helpful person there was the manager Anette, and you could tell even she was having trouble getting through the day. Keys to the unit just up and stopped working. Toilets weren’t flushing. Consistent leak in the shower. Maintenance had to send an electrician, plumber and handyman in the first hour we were there. And the timeshare meeting! It’s fun getting told how crazy you are for not blindly buying into a high pressure time share scam early on your first morning there when you experience what’s above not 12 hours ago when you first got in. I do want to give Anette her flowers though. If not for her actually caring and trying to make things up for us I dont know what I would have done. She upgraded us to one of the units they showed us for the timeshare which were nice, but in that model home from Arrested Development kind of way if you know what I mean

They issued me 4 keys and the Unit my daughter was staying in was 191P when they got there it was clearly occupied They had to go back and get assigned another unit they had to go back and get a new unit! All we wanted to do is get out of the cold and get in the rooms! They gave me 2 keys to my other unit at Hotel 3 rm 1307 and The next day when I went out with my boyfriend he left his key and I had mine but when we got back it wouldn’t open the door so I had to go to the North side to get a new key just to get in. I am still trying to figure out why I was given a key for our unit and when I told the agent this is the key that won’t let me in the room! It was a Key for 191p and I told the agent that my daughter turned in the 2 keys to the desk and that room was already occupied! They issued her 2 new keys for the new unit! It was raining cats and dogs! All we wanted was to get in the room and get warm! This was a truly expensive and rat race experience I have ever encountered!

The check in process was quick though they do try and convince you to do the 90 minute tour for the $ 200 credit. This is much like what I imagine timeshare presentations are. I was not interested and politely declined. We made the mistake of not reserving a table for our party of 8 Saturday evening. We ventured off property for all meals except snacks at the water park. We arrived 30 minutes late to our tubing reservation but were still able to make the most of it. Maybe next year we will get lift passes.

Room was dated, from the carpet to the furniture to the sinks, showers… everything. As soon as we got to our room we saw there was no remote to the tv, called and was told housekeeping would take care of it, not remote the first night and tv would work without it. We saw housekeeping the next day and asked for a remote they said maintenance had to take care of it, called maintenance they said they’d be right up to program a new remote, never showed. Checked with the concierge later in the day to try to get a remote said they’d take care of it. Nope… Thankfully we were busy all day because it’s not a room you would want to have to spend a lot of time in. Was not offered anything for our inconvenience at anytime. Definitely will not be staying ever again.

I won't be staying here again! Out skiing, with another night paid for, I got a text "Thanks for checking out" and spent all afternoon trying to make contact to remedy the situation and ensure my luggage was secure. I texted, called, e-mailed... I will say, after I read the riot act, a nice woman manager listened to my complaints and I was given a voucher for dinner which helped. So at check-in the hotel was almost empty, but they put me in a room next to one of the few occupied (an employee?) that seemed to be practicing WWF wrestling slams as I tried to sleep. Constant loud banging. Then at 4:00 AM I'm woken by a droning TV. Poor management, poor communication, and poor choices, a bunch of stupid texts I couldn't reply to, an awful phone contact system are all things that should be fixed.

I'm sorry to say we did not enjoy our visit - walking to the room did not feel secure as as it was not well lit and no secure door to the outside. Garbage in the parking lot. The room was pretty bad - outdated and not soundproof! and some things didn't work - for example the shades, the tv and there was no hot water. We did not realize we would need to drive for any activity/dining - nothing on site. The repeated attempt to get us to go to the timeshare presentation was unexpected. I give it 2 stars because the manager agreed to cancel and refund our second night...but I haven't seen the credit yet.

Unfortunately our stay was not what we expected. We were very prepared for this to be a busy time of year and did our best to plan ahead with reservations to as much as we could for dinner and activities. Being a busy time of year for travel and skiing, we would also expect the resort to do the same. This was sadly not the case. Let me say that the staff at most all places at the resort were friendly and helpful. The issue seemed to be a noticeable staffing shortage. Generally poor planing and obvious service failures at every location. Some Restaurants were not open during what seems to be a very normal time to have lunch or dinner service. Wait times were absolutely outrageous for a family of 4 and food was just okay. Adult couples almost seemed to have priority everywhere we went… but this is marketed as a family vacation spot. We booked night skiing which was an absolute disaster. The line for rentals was rapped around the building and took 2 hours!!! We arrive at 4:50 and didn’t get on the chair lift until 6:45. We then grabbed a bite to eat at the small restaurant where a gentleman was clearly over surged at the bar. The restaurant was filled with young kids and the man was belligerent with no staff intervention. We paid $100 a person for 2 hours of skiing. Not worth it. The indoor pool was $75 per person and was half the size since it’s the outdoor area is closed for winter and was so crowded! Again, we figured it would’ve but this was really bad and floors were filthy

Got there and the staff was gracious enough to allow us to check in early. We arrived at our room and noticed it was outdated on the inside. There was virtually 0 water pressure in our room both days we stayed at the hotel. We figured the first night maybe because we showered at 8pm/9pm it was peak useage but the next day we showered around 230pm and the situation was the same. Being super close to the slopes and amenities enabled us to forget about the cobstantly crying small dogs in neighboring rooms but the water preasure was unforgivable. After a long day driving or riding on the snow the last thing i want to do is essentially bird bath myself from a dribble of luke warm water.

After check-in, I entered the condo and found the bed broken and leaning as if it could collapse. I called the front desk, but all I heard was “OK, OK,” and no one ever came. A staff member passing by told me someone would come by 8:30 PM—unbelievable. I called the concierge again, but they had no idea what was happening. When I asked to change rooms, they asked whether I would drive to the front desk myself or wait for their call. Of course, no call ever came, so I drove 10 minutes to the front desk and had to explain everything again. Even though I had to repeat the whole story at the concierge desk, one competent concierge finally changed my room without making things any more difficult. I went back, packed everything again, and moved to the new room. I wasted over an hour and a half of my time, received no apology, no compensation—just “Happy Thanksgiving.” I understand it might not be easy to switch rooms quickly during a busy holiday weekend, but I still can’t understand how no one noticed such an obvious issue with the bed and allowed the room to be checked in.

Livid, because kids were really disappointed now, went back to let them know we wanted to go n the weed odor in the room, and the manager made it right, offering an upgraded room which since it was late we decided to just take that, and left the next morning early. When we grabbed our stuff to move rooms the smell was already not as strong as before, so we assumed it was coming thru the vents of someone else’s room. Not sure. Pizza restaurant near check in is pretty good. Views/area beautiful. Note pics shown of waterpark are NOT included in price shown.

Upon arriving at the front desk, the clerk was nice but very hard to understand. I then had to go to the concierge desk and get a parking pass simply so they could try to talk me into a time. A complete waste of my time. We were handed a map and told to have a good night. After driving around for half an hour, we finally found our condo. These rooms are really dated. There was an electric outlet falling out of the wall. We had rented a room with a spa tub. The tub was really dirty. Once I cleaned it, it wouldn’t work. The toilet wouldn’t flush. The rooms are large but it just seemed like they threw us in whatever room was left. It was disappointing.

Pros: The room was newly renovated so just about everything was in great shape and the carpet was clean. There were lots of amenities on site and on the mountain. All of the community areas, facilities were spotless. Cons: The mattress is master bedroom was uncomfortable for us and there was a periodic squeaky sound that came from the ceiling vent in our room which kept us up for most of the night. We decided to sleep in the living room on the pullout couch, but that spring mattress was so terrible. There was a huge dip in the center and springs popped up as you moved. I gave this resort a good rating because it is a wonderful resort and we've visited several times over the past 2 decades and never had any comfort issues or issues in general. The views are always breathtaking and a great quiet place to relax.

I think the site says check in is at 5, but Lisa (I think her name was Lisa) advised that check in was really at 1, which came in handy since I thought I was early when I arrived about 2 pm. Even though there was a person or two in line, she took her time with making sure I knew where my stay way, where to eat, and the best places for recreation. The area around most of "resort" is too dark, needs lighting. The jacuzzi tub did not work first day. Master toilet was inoperable and the second toilet clogged thereafter, so we were left with no toilet. Maintenance leaves early so you have to wait till next day. The light bulb outside unit was blown as well as lamppost bulb. We returned to our room to find a note saying the keys had been changed and we had to wait in dark for replacements. We washed and dried the towels and housekeeping took them away, so we were left for many hours with none.Jacuzzi tub was fixed in the morning and then broke again that evening. Called and reported no one ever came. When you hit front desk button it goes to a call center and not front desk. So they have to send an email asking front desk to call. The halloween party was an unorganized train wreck, too much content to leave here.

Our condo was very nice however we had to go off the resort to find things to do. The hours of activities if they were even open at all were not accommodating. After hours of planning our trip and making sure we would have things to do, it did not work out that way. Even the pool was closed the day we got there (Tues, nothing on the internet alluded to this) the next day we thought we'd take an evening swim, the facility said they closed at 9 however the pool closes at 7 again, nothing indicated this otherwise. The bumper cars and go karts closed at 5. The restaurants were just average. The BBQ was good and the Carolina sauce was absolutely outstanding, the normal BBQ sauce was just strange, it tasted like taco sauce. Having to scan your cup to make sure you only get the exact amount of beverage was quite petty. And some of the prices for food were just outrageous for what you got. Our best meal was off site. Our fireplace did not work in our room but the room itself was very nice, cozy and a very comfortable bed. Definitely needed some updating, the toilet seat was peeling. The star of the show was the beautiful autumnal display (last week in October) the fall foliage was absolutely stunning! It wasn't an awful trip, we like to find the humor and good in everything but we probably would not return.

The resort itself and amenities was great, staff superb! The check in process is like herding clueless people as everyone is checking in and getting a door key card (get codes already- we’re in 2025) and then you have to go to another desk to get parking pass where they try to push yours on you. The room was great BUT we were on the first floor condo and could hear EVERYTHING upstairs, they walked so hard it shook the light fixtures. We heard them roll over in bed, blow their nose and flush toilets, etc - it wasn’t pleasant so we left the next morning. They were up past 1am and it was nonstop. The CampFire Grill was amazing, food delicious and service excellent. The scenic chair lift cancelled purchase due to the spartan race and that was what I planned the trip around , so it that was a huge disappointment and I didn’t find out until the night before- bad business there! If we ever go back, we’ll be sure to book a house.

Spent my birthday here and I would say that my family and I enjoyed the condo we were upgraded into. We also tried the chairlift which was so nice during fall season. Only thing is that the waterpark which cost $200 for me, my husband and 5 year old didn’t feel so worth it. The water is so cold that my son’s lips have turned purple. He mostly stayed in the frog pond which was a bit warmer. Otherwise I would say the place overall is so nice and the staff are helpful and friendly.

We were late arriving due to traffice issues & crawled into bed as soon as we unpacked. We rolled to the middle of the mattress but laughed it off, but by morning both of us were miserable and with RA, I was in pain. It took most of the next day and several phone calls to have a new mattress brought in. Two nights on the new mattress & it was starting to sag! The bed frame/box spring must be broken & the two times maintenance was in, they never bothered to check. Overall, underwhelmed with the property & the aggressive driving within the resort was beyond crazy!!

I chose to stay here because they are a pet-friendly resort. We enjoyed eating at Base Camp restaurant which allowed us to have our dog with us on the patio. The rooms were dog themed and the room offered a food/water dish for the pup. The dog park was phenomenal. We will be back for sure.

Given that there were no hotel rooms available in town, this was a convenient location. But the room was literally like walking into 1982 --- from the looks of it, to the fact that the mattress is probably that old, to the fact that the WiFi was worthless, there was only one channel on the TV and forget about streaming anything. There was no elevator. The bed was so hard I needed to see the chiropractor. And I'm glad we didn't invite people back to watch the game out of the rain because the kitchen was barely stocked. What was good? They provided linens, trash bags, and dishwasher detergent. Lesson learned.

This resort is stuck in the 1980s. It's tired, not updated, and needs a good overhaul, but most importantly, needs a deep clean - and routine cleanings. Our room smelled like air freshener, was dusty, old furniture, and a much lower quality than we were expecting from such a highly respected resort. Customer service was lacking, as requests for our room were not met upon checkin and not actually sent to our room until nearly midnight. The resort itself seems like it might be nice in the winter, but we would not recommend the accomodations.

The girl we checked in with was very nice but very difficult to understand because her English was poor and she said our room wasn’t ready which should not ever happen; anyone checking in should be assigned a room already available and let those coming later to check-in to have the rooms that weren’t ready initially. Also, we noticed a disturbing situation where the outer rim joist is separating from the main joists which could result in a fatal fall when the deck falls!

The only non-amazing thing about our experience was getting into our room. Ultimately, the electronic door lock was out of battery power, so we waited 30-45 minutes in the hallway late at night just so security could come to tell us our lock was broken. They did let us in and the resort fixed the lock the next day, but this was super inconvenient after a very long day. Otherwise, I recommend Massanutten without hesitation. Some of the most amazing spaces we have ever stayed in size wise.

The young lady at the check-in site was very nice. Once we got to our unit the keys did not work so we waiting an extremely long time for someone to let us in. After putting our luggage in the unit, when my 8 yrs old niece went to the bathroom, we discovered the bathroom toilet would not flush. Again we waited an extremely long time for a maintenance person to arrive. My husband ended up going back to the check-in-location to complain to a manager because we have not had dinner because we are now waiting on a maintenance worker. The manager gave my husband a $50 coupon to be used on the resort. The next day we used the coupon at the Woods Grill for a buffet breakfast. This was a terrible experience, our party consist of 3 adults and 2 children. The adult price for the buffet was $16 per person and the children’s price was $9 per child. We were never informed that the drinks were not included in the buffet price. In total we paid over $50 for drinks: 1 coca cola, 1 kid’s sprite, 1 kid’s apple juice, 2 cranberry juices, and 1 cup of coffee. Please understand that none of these drinks had refills and they did not contain alcohol. The waitress was very rude and she made sure that she mentioned; after we had eaten the meal that a gratuity of 18% would be taken out of our coupon. The menu indicated a gratuity of 20% for a party of seven or more and we were only a party of 5 who believes in tipping for excellent service. I will never go to this restaurant again.

I like the property and our room was amazing. But every place , pools any amenities that they have, you have to drive to it. Plus it seems they did not have a lot of help . Some places were closed . Restaurants. Where open only in the weekend . But I won't return . And they should have street lights esp going higher into mountain , it was so dark and if you are not familiar with the roads you can get into an accident .

I booked the resort because I just wanted to get away for the weekend with my wife. I already have a timeshare and was not interested in purchasing another. The staff was terrific and gave credit to our tour guide, Billy, for his approach; however, the experience was nearly ruined because we did not realize that we would be required to take a tour and go through a sales pitch when we had made it known we were not looking to purchase another timeshare.

We did a "tour" of the grounds to get 5 free passes. The 90 minute tour turned into a 2 hour plus time share sells pitch. Then when you say no, they treat you like you have leprosy. We did not have a great experience at Massanutten! It is not being run well at all in my opinion. Our unit was not ready at the 5pm promised check in time. There was trash lining the walkway of our house the whole time we were there, the grounds were unkept around our unit, there was food on the floor of the laundry room and bad smells in the hallway. Some of our outlets did not work so we had no lamp in the bedroom, our grill caught on fire and when we emailed the staff to ask for some additional blankets on the first day an automatic email said someone would be in touch but in our 4 days no one came out. The pool we were swimming in had to be emptied due to someone pooping in it (which is not the facilities fault but the pools were jam packed with people). The basketballs in the rec center were all busted, the indoor pool was closed the day we were going to use it, air hockey tables out of order etc. Just a very poor experience overall!

When I think of a resort I think of a place where I leave my car on arrival, and never need it again. I also think of a place where my teens can go off and do their own thing. At this resort, we couldn’t walk anywhere. The one time we walked to dinner, my husband had to go back to get the car because we walked to the restaurant in the daytime and it was quite scary, and did not think it would be safe returning on foot in the dark. The other big issue was the smell in the room. We were in a dog-friendly room, and there was an air purifier, but the smell was really strong. I suggest removing the carpets if it’s not possible to clean the room well enough to remove odors. Lastly, we were disappointed that the pool schedule was 11-7. We left our room to explore during the day, so we were never around when the pool was open. My teens were especially disappointed that they could not go to the pool in the evenings. They said that’s what summer is all about!

It took a really long time to check in on a Tuesday afternoon, both me and the lady behind me were pretty upset after 20 mins. They were training people and it was unnecessarily slow. We also found a peanut and goldfish on the carpet of the condo that was not ours. Otherwise there were not any issues with the space. One recommendation would be to add an extra set of towels per person in the closet. If you know there are 4 people coming maybe do 8 sets of towels instead of 6. Finally, anytime we called the front desk or housekeeping it went to voicemail and no one ever called back. So you are really on your own unless you want to drive to the front desk directly
