Wingate by Wyndham Macon I-75

It was the last-minute decision to stay here as we were traveling to the beach and needed to spend the night somewhere. The lady that was at the check-in desk was extremely helpful when we got to our rooms after check-in. One of the rooms was not cleaned so I immediately went back downstairs and she was super helpful. Got us into a different room and for the rest of the night it was fine. Breakfast was good the next morning.

Breakfast is very basic , very poor selection, coffee is terrible. But everything in a room working , (except tv having issues with network connection). Ok to sleep one night and go to the Dunkin or Starbucks in the morning.

Location was very convenient - if you aren’t planning on taking the Macon bypass. However, it was very convenient to I75, so not too difficult to resume our trip south. Hotel was a little on the older side, although redone and fairly clean - but just not the “new hotel” stay. But for the price, it is actually better than I expected. The room was a great size. Although I was in a non-smoking room (at least that is what I asked for), it still smelled faintly like smoke. Could have done without that, but since I arrived very late and was only there for about 8hours, it was not the end of the world. Otherwise, if it would have been more of an extended stay, I would have probably requested a different room.

I made a reservation while in route to Macon for a medical emergency. When I arrived at the site, the date had been entered incorrectly, It was for the following week. The agent at the desk needed me to get the reservation information so that she could change the date to get me a room, I looked it up and returned to the desk, she had left and the young man at the desk told me there was nothing that could be done but he would charge me for another room. The new room would have been more than the original that I reserved. I found another site close with a better rate and better customer care. I travel quite a bit, but I will not be staying at a Wyndham again.

Every time I left the room I felt like I was waking the whole floor up. The only ice machine is on the first floor.

We stayed for one night as we were passing through. The room was very clean and a comfortable bed! Nice large shower. Now the breakfast was just ok. Same typical food. The eggs were a little dry and the grits were lumpy. But they had cereal and waffles. Overall I'd stay here again for the room!!

The only negative would be how loud our floor was, but that’s not on the hotel just other guests. Breakfast was good. Very helpful for us being served at 6am as most hotels don’t start til 7am. Staff there is AMAZING. I hope the management knows how great their team members are.

I noticed when I got in bed on the 2nd night of my stay that the sheets had a few stains on them that I had not put there. The next day when I returned to the room the bed had been made with the same stained sheets. I notified management about the issue. They stated that sheets are only changed daily on a multi night stay if the guest requests it. The issue was corrected, but I was concerned about the cleanliness of the bedding as a result.

The bed was the highlight for me.. was firm and dreamy, it made for a wonderful night. Aside from that i believe it was a bang for every buck spent.... clean enough, the essentials from microwave, to coffee and clean white towels. The staff were very helpful.. and there was ample parking.. least i forget there was a security car going around in an unmarked car ensuring property was safe in the premises. I was impressed.

I reserved 4 rooms for the night. The staff honored my request that they be assigned next to one another. The problem with room #4 was resolved by being assigned another room. The door to room #4 would not lock from the hallway.

The staff were wonderful and try.y wanted your stay to be accommodating. Easy parking and a good size room. The bed was not too comfortable but it was ok. The breakfast was good would prefer to have a lower calorie/ carb yogurt. Everything else was comparable to other chain hotel breakfasts.

The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the "Lisa", she was very warm and accommodating, giving us better directions, to get to our Event. Plenty of parking and well lit. The breakfast was OK, not great, eggs were overcooked, oatmeal watery and bananas were not ripe, very good coffee. Overall experience was good, would return.

I had absolutely no issue with this hotel or the area, except 1. The bed was so uncomfortable. That little thin mattress had my back hurting.

Had issues with TV and remote and had to have someone come up and reset everything and still fought with issues on remote. Coffee maker was not working, lights missing lightbulbs, outlets not working to charge devices(some of these housekeeping tried hard to take care of). Front desk and check in and out pleasant enough, evening staff didn’t want to be bothered. Only way to contact from desk it to go to it or through app and text message. And again, evening staff was less than responsive. The room I stayed in for half the price the night before was much better!

There was water damage above our door and taped up. Also water damage in our room above one of the beds, with paint starting to peel.

I have stayed here numerous times, usually 1or 2 days at a time visiting relatives. The facility is good, clean and conveniently located. Staff is friendly and efficient. The room I stayed in this time was noisy because it was near the adjacent highway, close to the main entrance, but not so loud I couldn’t sleep. I recommend this as a family friendly location with breakfast on site.

Not pleased with the area. We arrived at 10:30 PM. Strong smell of pot as we exited our vehicle. Random guy slouched in chair by pool (not there to swim). Security guards in next door parking lot dealing with two individuals. Inside the facility was alright but we certainly will not stay here again.

Shower didn’t drain. The noise in the hall was awful til 11:00 pm. Doors slamming.. breakfast just ok. Shades didn’t work ..light didn’t work. Not a great experience..most likely won’t return.

Staff was not friendly upon check in. Next, the two rooms we rented had a very large gap at the top of the main doors. Even when locked it looked as if they were open. You could hear everything outside & it was simply not a safe feeling. I was awoken at 6AM to the smell of cigarettes like someone was smoking in the room next door. It was disgusting. Very disappointing all around.

We stayed here for one night on a drive from Michigan to Florida, so did not have a chance to check out the pool or gym. The breakfast was good, standard continental but OJ tasted fresh squeezed! Staff was very kind and our room was HUGE! Had a giant flat screen, full size couch, and king bed. Also, as someone with allergies, I like that the provided shower products list ingredients :) Would stay here again for sure.

The room was clean and beautiful and the check-in service was friendly and helpful when I found there was no shampoo or conditioner in the room, but they should have mentioned that there was a blackout shade pulldown (always to everyone) because I was unable to find it and would have asked for help had I known it was there. I was told I could have called the front desk, but who has the ability to find a number to the front desk at 2:30 in the morning? My lack of sleep totally defeated the purpose of my trip so I am sure I will not be returning there. It was also noisy with loud sounds from the highway. The breakfast waffles tasted funny like they were beginning to sour and the apples were all bruised but the eggs were good.

Negatives: The floor was dirty (my socks were loaded with hair and dirt) and when I dropped something that went under the couch I could see how dirty it was under there. The shower was a problem as well. It is a very cool shower set up with 4 or 5 shower heads that can deliver water but no directions on how to operate the 2 handles that control the water temp and the water delivery options. The shower didn’t have a shelf to put the bar of soap or the shampoo & conditioner. You had to lay them on the floor.

I had the king room and it was very nice. It had a studio couch and bed and was very large. Modern amenities in the bathroom. I was very impressed.

Do not ever get a room in the atrium of this hotel. Ours was 224. Just above lobby. Late night check-ins with kids running around screaming at 11:00pm and well as continual laughter from front desk all night. Could hear over the tv. Otherwise a nice room. Refrigerator leaked onto the floor. Beds clean. Breakfast good, just not much sleep.

Lisa, the front desk staff member, was an absolute delight and so helpful. We checked in late on March 7th and she was so helpful with all our questions and even gave us directions to local restaurants. The next morning, she was there, again, during the breakfast hours, being helpful, again.

The place was clean but a stuffy feeling in the air in this place. Our curtains in the room was broken and did not work. The room was very basic and I don’t mind that. The price was good for just a one night stay. I don’t like the idea you had put down 100$ on top of your bill for a security deposit and yes they told we it will get refund in 5 to 6 business days. Overall the hotel was nice and I would stay again, however the pillows are really small. We had a king size bed and the pillows were barely the size of a standard pillow. The back of the bathroom door wasn't cleaned as they was something splashed across the back and it had some spots near the handle. The breakfast was nice and the staff was pleasant.

That said, these were really the only drawbacks. Overall, the hotel was clean, the staff were genuinely friendly, and our room felt updated, comfortable, and well-maintained. - My shower wouldn't drain so I asked the front desk to send someone to check it out. When I got back to my room 12 hours later, the water hadn't been drained but instead treated with chlorine. The front desk quickly sent someone up again to fix the issue. - My window had a shade that wouldn't roll up. - Water pressure was almost nothing. - Mattress and pillows weren't the best but also weren't the worst. - Parking lot is small and hard to maneuver with a large car. - Otherwise it's pretty average.

The Mattress in our King Bed felt like a Memory Foam Mattress. Comfortable for me, but my Husband has Back problems and he had to spent half the night on the Couch. But that’s in no way the Hotel’s fault.

The checking process and checkout process online was extremely efficient in time saving especially after a road trip. Do you just wanna go to your room and rest. The front office lady was very nice and the room was updated and very clean. It was also very spacious with a lot of searing area which we enjoyed.

Only issue was there was no place in the shower to put shampoo and soap.

Bugs all over similar to bed bugs. The attendant said she was aware, they were "love bugs" and the problem would be solve the following day but no one came.

Love hotels with hard floors, carpet is too dusty no matter how much it’s cleaned. The room also had everything I needed for a stopover on a long trip - refrigerator with a freezer for my freezer packs and a microwave so I could make hot tea which I drink all day. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was just perfect for me.

Not sure what changed with the tv channels access since then, but even though I did what I was told to access 700 free channels, it never connected for me. I had to pay $4.99 for a day of wifi as a non-member of Wyndham Rewards to watch a few tv shows on my laptop. Toiletries are sample size and only enough for someone with short hair, but that's nothing major. Breakfast was fairly decent, but no salt or butter for the grits. Overall, enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean, hotel is in a good location, and price was competitive.

Came back to my second night to find that house keeping left my room half way. No trash clean out. One of the beds were upside down. Bathroom half clean.

Room was clean. Easy parking. Staff was excellent they work very hard to make your stay comfortable!

Terrible check in experience. We did on line check in for the convenience of just coming b in to pick up the key, but instead a front dest worker kept us almost 30 min before releasing the key. He didn't apologize at all.

At check-in in we were given the wrong room key. So we had to haul all of our stuff back down to another floor. The front desk staff seemed confused. At breakfast, it seemed to be understaffed. The poor young lady preparing and serving the food was also running the front desk as people were checking out. She was overwhelmed. The food was cold and overcooked.

Breakfast was excellent. Lots of good choices. Staff was good. Parking was convenient.

Room was clean and check in was simple.

The service was great-very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The bed was super comfortable. The window has a black-out rolling shade so you can control the light coming in. We slept great!

The entire place was very clean and nicely decorated. The ladies at the front desk were not only extremely helpful, but remembered my name and details I mentioned in passing, The rooms smelled faintly of essential oils, not antiseptic or pine, but were very clean. Over-all, an excellent experience.

Everything was good

We checked in late at night, but there was an attendant there at the desk who was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was okay..was a bit disappointed that there wasnt any hot sauce or black pepper which i like to put on my eggs. My husband enjoyed the peach juice. Coffee was good, just really tiny cups. Overall we would stay again, just might treat ourselves out to breakfast.

Nothing overwhelming, just a place to stay the night. It is near a railroad so expect horns blasting in the middle of the night. Bathroom was kind of small, so if it's more then 2 people in the room you might look elsewhere. Front desk staff was not available when needed.

I arrived ahead of standard check-in but was still delivered a nice room very quickly. The room was very clean with plenty of towels in the bathroom, ample outlets for plug-ins and a comfortable bed. I had prompt follow-up with email and in-person asking if anything else was needed. When I asked for a hair-dryer, it was delivered within two minutes. All staff were courteous and helpful. Great experience overall!

I had issues with the deadbolt not latching in room 203 as it doesn’t go into the door jam. I also had a person across the hall from me coughing all night and it felt like they were in the room with me. Very loud gagging and coughing in 202. The walls are super thin so I was unable to rest after arriving at 4am and having to get back on the road at 10. The lady at the service desk who I called ahead to tell her my arrival time would be in the middle of the night so everything she could to ensure a smooth check in but the system went down at 4am and I arrived shortly after so that caused some issues. Breakfast was plentiful so thankful for that. The AC was loud and cycled on and off all night. Needs servicing or something.

Room was spacious, clean, quiet and convenient to to the Freeway. Free breakfast had a nice variety of foods including eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy, fruit and waffles.

We left and when returned to find beds were made up, trash dumped. Wallet had been moved and cards exposed. We were not aware they serviced our room on a 2 day stay. We notified msnsgement.

We were traveling through town and needed a place to rest for the night. This was perfect, reasonably priced and very comfortable.

The room was nice, good beds, friendly staff, and the complimentary breakfast was decent. Not as many bathroom toiletries as other hotels, but overall a nice overnight stay.

The only complaint that I have experienced was that when I arrived. My room wasn’t ready. I feel as if the whole reason to reserve a room early suppose to prevent you from having to wait when you arrive. Also the role of tissue gave out in my room during my stay because it wasn’t full when I arrived. The front desk assistant couldn’t leave to bring it because she said she was alone. Therefore I had to inconvenience myself & walk up front to get it myself. Internet service wasn’t working as well. When I tried to log into it it kept asking for a pay to proceed.

The rooms were clean, the staff were exceptional and the hotel was close to restaurants. There were a couple of restaurants in walking distance. We stayed one night. We would definately stay here again.

I don’t know where to begin. This was supposed to be a relaxing business trip, but turned out to be a nightmare. Being a frequent traveler, one could really depend on the quality of a hotel from loyal customers who write reviews. Unfortunately, the current ratings on this hotel is far beyond misleading. Upon checking in the host was very respectful and professional. I must get that out of the way first. But this is when everything fell apart. As I retrieve my hotel keys, headed to the elevator I was greeted by a roach, crawling out of the elevator. I said to myself, maybe this is something isolated so I proceeded to my room upon entering the the room I felt a strong odor slapped me in the face which smelled like cigarette smoke. I proceeded to put my things down to finish looking over the room to make sure it was clean. I did my usual lift the mattress and pull the covers back to inspect the bed. I’ll be laying in.. To my surprise, I found hair and food crumbs all underneath the mattress, I found it quite disgusting. When I got up from looking under the mattress, I found two roaches crawling up the wall, and I knew at this point I had to immediately go back downstairs to report my findings. When I got to the lobby, I was next in line but then, There was another guest entered the hotel and stood behind me, awaiting to be checked in. So at this point, I made a conscious decision to not embarrass the hotel by allowing the arriving guest to go before me so I can report my finding

Room was much bigger than I expected. Clean, clean, clean. When my daughter's flight got delayed, I was able to request and pay for a late checkout. The lady at the desk inquired as to the flight status, when she saw me in the lobby. Felt a little like family. Didn't use the pull out sofa, but was nice to have an additional space of the chaise lounge to stretch out on.

I would not stay there again

It was a simple overnight stay that was very refreshing. I particularly liked the peach juice served at the breakfast buffet.

This was a last minute booking for us and the customer service was great! The hotel itself was lacking in some areas. The market area and bar were bare so no late night food, snacks or drinks. Other than that- it was a nice place for a quick stay.

Property was clean. Staff was super nice. Little pool was perfect for our short visit. I would stay there again. Pedros down the street was amazing food too!

Breakfast was average in food quality but the whole area was super clean. The only negative thing was the coffee.... super weak, very little flavor and only creamer option for creamer was the Carnation minis.

There were a lot of text messages sent that i thought was a little too much.

When i checked out i forgot to ask for my cash deposit (for incidentals) back. I did not remember until several hours after i had checked out that i didnt get my deposit back. Luckily i was still in the general area when i remembered and i was able to go back and get it. If i hadnt remembered then, i wouldve driven 3 hours back home without it. A better system needs to be implemented at checkout, as the associate who received my room keys did not ask me or check anywhere to see if a deposit should have been returned to me.

Nothing outstanding, just average as expected for a one night stay.

Excellent beds, renovated rooms. A bit rundown in hallways and lobby but these areas did not impact my stay. Really nice gym, coffee available all day. Surrounding area is OK but has all necessities.

Friendly staff! I got an upgraded room with multi-shower head and it was amazing. They have a good size workout facility with a sauna. Complimentary breakfast was great!

The hotel room was very clean and nice. Check in/out staff were very friendly. The gym was big and even had a sauna. The only suggestions I have is to have hooks in bathroom to hang towels. Also needs a place in shower to put your soap. But I will definitely be back. Thank you!

This hotel is always worth the stop on the way to Florida! The hotel is very clean. The room has ample space and the king size bed is extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the morning is an extra plus!
