The bed spread had what resembled a blood stain on the end by foot of the bed, which I didn’t see until I’d already slept overnight. Other than that, it was a good stay for the price, and for a quick overnight trip. I would stay there again, but I would definitely make sure to inspect the room thoroughly for cleanliness.

I’m going to be brutally honest here, the girl working the front desk was so sweet and we loved her. We got to our room, it wasn’t clean, BUT it wasn’t the kind of dirty that had bugs everywhere, it was just like hair and dirt and stuff like that. That being said this is a pet friendly hotel so it not being the cleanest is expected. I went to go give my baby a bath and noticed we didn’t have a tub, only a huge walk in shower (handicapped accessible) when I went back out and mentioned to staff that my baby desperately needed a bath and asked if maybe there was a room with a bath, I was told that there was nothing to be done because the last “handicapped accessible room just got rented out” meanwhile I don’t need a handicapped room… that’s what I got… I need a regular room. Anyhow, we definitely won’t stay again, but all in all it wasn’t so bad that we will look bad on it as a nightmare.

The Bed is very uncomfortable and may be covered in plastic, as it was crunchy laying on it. My room was very dark as most light fixtures were not working or had burnt out bulbs. The room had one washcloth as well as one combination shampoo/conditioner bottle. The soap was very very small and extremely dry and thin. The room has not had a thorough cleaning in probably years as every corner nook and cranny had fuzz balls or worse. The breakfast bar did have waffles. But no fruit or eggs. If your on a tight budget this place might be worth it, but if you can afford better, go somewhere else!

The elevator was extremely loud, and something running in the hotel was very loud all night long.

Overall great stay for the price! Cozy rooms, clean, easily accessible. Only thing I would say is that they need to fix the parking lot.

Be prepared to buy your own breakfast possibly. Decaffeinated coffee wasn't available. I don't eat pork & all that was available besides apples was sausage gravy & biscuits. If that's cool for you, you will be okay. Oh yeah, there was cereal too.

Breakfast was typical biscuits and gravy, cereal, waffles. Room could have been cleaned a little better but overall stay was worth the price and they accommodated us well.

We loved this place so much that we ended up staying for a total of 3 weeks. There are definitely homeless people shacking up here, but they don't bother anyone and you would never know. Very safe and quiet. Internet and TV was amazing. Breakfast lacked protein on most days, but was pretty good nonetheless. Water pressure was amazing. The only downside was the beds are super firm, but overall we had a nice stay and would be happy to return if we're in the area. All of the staff was super nice and accommodating.

Housekeeping needs to learn how to clean up the coffee maker as the previous occupant used coffee grounds were still in the machine. That is not only gross, but it is a hygiene issue.

Property was well maintained. Rented the jacuzzi room which was large and spacious. Jacuzzi should’ve came with instructions in room but it wasn’t that hard to figure out after playing with it for a few minutes. Hotel is right next door to a quiktrip which was nice to be able to walk and get snacks and other things. Would definitely stay at this location again when in Macon!

We had a rotten moldy avocado in the bottom dresser drawer. I killed 2 roaches walking on the floor by the mini fridge. We had a room for 4, but only two towels and a half roll of toilet paper. Looking back I’m not so sure our room was ever cleaned between customers. After sleeping in the beds it kind of smelled sour or something. It was a terrible experience. That’s why they don’t offer refunds! The lady at the front desk was nice that’s the only positive.

The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. As for the breakfast it consisted of apples, biscuits and gravy and a waffle maker along with juice and coffee and tea. The room was clean and comfortable. We stayed for one night on a road trip and got a good night sleep. My only issue is the pictures of the fitness area are very misleading. There is a treadmill that is out of order and an elliptical that should be out of order as it's in very bad shape. There is also a stationary bike which I did try but I looked very old. As for free weights there was a pair of 20lb, 25lb and 30lb weights. If you don't care about a fitness area, I would say you should give this location a try and I doubt you will be disappointed for the price point but if a fitness area is important to you (like me) you might want to check out other possiy options. I hope this honeso review is helpful.

Only stayed one night but the room was clean and very comfortable. I didn't like not having a view out the windows because of a unnecessary barrier to block anyone looking toward the room. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again on my next visit to the area

The one thing that makes this review difficult to write is how kind and welcoming the front desk staff has been. They truly deserve recognition. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience hasn’t matched that level of care. The fridge isn’t working, the wall art is crooked, and the jetted tub appears to have a broken component that makes it nearly impossible to drain. The headboard is also not properly secured, causing it to bang against the wall with even slight movement—I can only imagine how that sounds to the room next door. The location, right behind QuikTrip, is a real advantage—but it shouldn’t be the only highlight. You have great staff and a prime location. Please put the same effort into maintaining the rooms.

Our room was clean. Staff were pleasant. Price was good. Breakfast was okay.

The first room had a very strong ammonia or cat urine smell that caused our eyes to burn, which is a health concern. The second room we were assigned was already occupied by another guest, which is a serious safety issue. The third room smelled heavily of smoke and was visibly unclean with abnormal amount of hair on the floor. At this point I didn’t feel safe staying there with my two younger children. When I spoke with the manager there was no apology and she would not issue a refund. She stated the nightly employee didn’t smell ammonia but documented pain chipping on light fixture. She blamed the occupied room on their faulty equipment but it was getting fixed. I am completely disappointed and will be taking this to the better business bureau.

Check in was great! The clerk was amazing, friendly and very helpful. Didn't do breakfast but my husband did get coffee that he enjoyed. My bed was hard. One of the pillows had a stain on it. When you shower the tub filled with water.

Everyone that trashes the place needs to spend a little more and stay at the Ritz Carlton or quut talking crap about your former employer. This is a nice little place, that serves its purpose. You sleep, you get breakfast (which is nit nad) and continue on your trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only issue was that the TV would not stay on. I couldn't sleep and that was aggravating, but all in all, the stay was what I paid for.

I was informed by the front desk there had been a problem with the elevator continuously trying to send itself to ground floor but was stuck. Wasn’t even offered an apology by staff. At first glance the room looked clean but I found long hairs on the shower walls and a wad of toilet paper covered in what I don’t want to know in the trash can. Needless to say I was forced to use the stairs from the forth floor heading back on the road still exhausted and before breakfast was set up.

Staff was amazing. When we hot to our initial room, the ac was not plugged in and i could jot find where to plug it in. Staff came immediately but discovered prong was bent. Moved us to another room which was great, except one bed was not comfortable at all. The rest of the room was great. Overall our stay was very good. And again all the staff we interacted with were amazing.

At 11 PM the staff was able to find us another room. They admitted that the elevator was loud, but they still put people in the rooms near the elevator. We were not happy!

The room was clean and the staff members worked well together and they are extraordinary to customers and dealing with unexpected events. They worked really long hours (which is sort of crazy) but I don't know the details. Even with long hours the staff members were excellent from the moment we checked in until be left. Stay was from 27-29 March. We rented a jacuzzi room.

The only redeeming thing about this place was the staff was nice. My first room was still occupied when I went in. Bedding everywhere. Do not disturb sign on the door. Got moved to another room and I as told the whole hotel was no smoking but the whole third floor smelled like a cigarette and our room smelled awful. If it was went so late I’d of left and found another hotel. 0/10.

Excellent value for the cost. Downtown Macon is really nice and a short drive away. Our room was very nice and clean. Nice, adequate breakfast. Overall, an excellent hotel that we will choose on our next trip through the area.

Great water pressure and everything in the room works. It’s obvious they have made efforts to keep the building and rooms updated. And when our dog comes, she is welcome too, without a crazy fee attached! Staff is friendly and we always leave feeling refreshed and ready for the second leg of our journey. Staff are very friendly and the rooms are fine, if not a little rough around the edges. Great hotel for the price and location. We’ve stayed here over 20 times through the years. Always delivers

Staff was very welcoming and courteous. Breakfast was one of the best post-Covid I’ve seen. Only flaw was the pillows. They need to be replaced.

Good place to stay for a night

I liked the staff they were friendly and responsive.

Hot tub was broken and leaked all over the floor. Sadly I wasn’t able to use it at all and it was the reason I booked the room.

When I got there, I thought we were at the wrong place. The hotel looks like it’s brand new The rooms were super nice I was really surprised. Don’t quite know what else to say.

The room was fair, breakfast subpar, and the checkout was atrocious. The front desk was unmanned making it impossible to get my cash deposit back without waiting for the staff member to return from leaving the facility completely to “pick someone up” leaving only cleaning and maintenance staff there who had no access to the cash. I had to wait over 20 minutes while the other staff attempted to contact that front desk person with NO success. This caused unnecessary delays in our travel and we were on a time schedule. When she returned she was not only rude to me, but also to her coworkers. Very rude and unprofessional.

personal laptop and food out in the guest dining area all the time. I politely asked for a room on the top floor - I have noise sensitivities and the hotel was clearly nearly empty - and she brushed me off with a "yeah, you're on the third floor." The hotel has six floors.

I was looking for a place to spend the night to break up my travel and the Red Roof Inn fit the bill. The price is vwry reasonable and this is a nice hotel with five floors. Everything has exceeded my expectations, thus far.

Had not been to a RRI for many years but found this RRI to be a delightful experience. The staff was very welcoming and engaging and went over and above to make our one night stay very positive. The room was spacious and clean, the bed comfortable and the amenities very good. The breakfast was better than expected. Will be returning in the future.

The hotel is located behind a gas station so getting to it was confusing. Check in was easy, the piping wasn’t the best the toilet didn’t flash the first time. Then the tub wasn’t draining properly so the water wasn’t going down.

The room is clean, spacious, and quiet.

Hotel was nicely kept up. Rooms were spacious. Minor issues were access to pool was bizarre, out the front entrance to the parking lot. And coffee in lobby should stay out past 9:45am on weekends.

We booked this hotel on our way back home . We got to the property late so decided to leave our luggage in a locked luggage rack on the back of the car. We woke up the next morning with the lock broken and our luggage missing. A police report was filed but there’s nothing that can be done.

The staff was very rude and I felt like they didn’t like doing their job. Then the room we got the bed was not comfortable and the pillows wasn’t good as well as the sheets look like they didn’t wash them at all

Booked two rooms so our group could have two bathrooms. The shower in one of the bathrooms didn’t have water during entire stay and the key card reader battery died. Both issues delayed our departure and were not fixed when we left. The on-site staff was supportive and courteous but room preparation should have included at least a check the bathroom and key card readers.

So the room we were gonna stay in was not ready on check in and we were changed to a slightly larger room due to the inconvenience. I appreciated it greatly. The only downside to the location was the really loud elevator next to our room.

There were bugs in the room and lots of bugs in the pool.

Got in one room and there were blood stains on mattress covers went downstairs asked for another room but it was worse than the first. Just left not wanting to risk bedbugs

This was my first stay at Red Rod Inn and it was great.

bearable for on the road night stay. found cockroach in bath room. beds were not changed, toilet was extremely small probably made for Midgets. bathroom was smelly and felt like never cleaned in months. bathtub was okay. hotel was almost empty but receptionist gave dirtiest room. not sure why? she could have given better room. overall if ur on a budget and feeling adventurous then go for it. I wouldn't go there anymore

Clean, comfortable, and great service

The room was relatively clean, the bed and pillows were clean and comfortable, however, the room itself needed repair and/or replacement or maybe it is in need of updating. It's probably difficult to clean damaged areas of the room.

Every staff member I encountered was extremely courteous and kind. They were very willing to help with any request or need that I had. The breakfast that was served daily was fresh and well maintained. There are also countless restaurant options within a few minutes drive to choose from. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Macon.

Overall, I just needed a place to rest between shifts. Dogs were barking down the hall but they did hush before I went to bed. The bathtub had a weird stain. The bed was comfortable.

My covers had weird blood looking stains I removed them, floor was sticky, hair was in bathroom sink and tub, some of the towels had brown stains.

It’s cheap… It was good for what I paid. Breakfast is simple, but decent… Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Condition of the property leave something to be desired, but like I said… It was cheap.

The second and more worrisome to me was the lack of direction on what to do during inclement weather. We had a tornado warning. I didn't see anything posted on the hotel door of where we needed to go. We went to the bottom floor and saw no one at the front desk, and ended up hanging out in the laundry room when we saw the fitness facility had windows. It also seemed though we were the only guests who were out and actively trying to get to a safe spot. A couple of other folks were out to get coffee or caffeine. Since the news outlets were specifying areas within a couple of miles of the hotel, I would have expected to see more people seeking better shelter than several floors up in a tall building.

Checked in 11pm…first thing I did was used the bathroom. Turned the bathroom light on and the roaches scattered. Used shower gel in the shower. Hair on the sheets when comforter was pulled back. Don’t book it.

The toilet leaked and the phone did not work. It was also dirty.

I pass through Macon once a year coming back from the holiday, and am grateful for the RRI in Macon. It's always a nice stay, with a good shower and a good breakfast. I think I've been there stopping there for the last several years, and will continue whenever I get the chance. It's also great that my pup is welcome as well.

The bed was comfortable but the water from the room above us sounded like it was our tub being filled. Toilet was a slow flush. Fridge and microwave worked. Nice TV with wide variety of programing. Breakfast eggs were barely warm and no gravy for biscuits. Waffles were very good. Apples, no bananas. 2 cereal varieties., juice and milk.

Very large room.. My only concern was not enough light .. Other than that it was clean and plenty of room even in the bathroom..

The room had an odour that effected my partner he wasnt able to sleep in the room he stayed in the car all night

Is good and convenient for a quick stop. The staff was really nice and kind. Breakfast was fine. The room has good size, the mattress was really comfortable, but watch out because it had a metal piece protruding from the base and my husband cut his ancle with it. the TV is a little bit old, and the floor was dirty, my baby crawled for 5 minutes and she looked like she was crawling in dirt, but I prefer that than old carpet.

Front desk was kind on both shifts. We checked in last night around 11pm, first room was filthy. Upon opening the door we could smell a bad odor, that of dampness and mold… pretty nasty. There was sticky stuff all on the floor, which had not been mopped or swept. There was pet hair and pubic hair all in the bed! There was mold in the shower above the soap holder and mold on the shower curtain. After drying off, the bath towel left long blonde hair and long black hair on my body, clearly not mine as my hair is coily. I was disgusted. We then called front desk, he moved us to a new room, it had even more hair and pet hair in the beds. We called the front desk showed the clerk, he agreed the rooms were filthy and they were not cleaned. The third and last room had spilled or vomited chicken next to night stand and hair in bed and shower. When I reached out to dry my hands on the hanging hand towel, there was hair on it as well. Out of all the rooms, the 3rd room was the least dirty. At this time, it was after midnight and we were exhausted, reluctantly we stayed. We checked out at 6:30am 10/13 this was the worst stay we have EVER booked.

Overall the hotel was good. Staff was nice, the breakfast was good. Had a couple inconveniences, the tv/phone didnt work, the tub still had stuff in it, and the day i went to leave i was blocked in and the hotel doesnt take people car information down due to their new system

This was a great night stay as I travel to visit my daughter! The price was reasonable, the room was clean, my dog stayed for free, the area was safe and staff were friendly. What more could you ask for when traveling for a one night stay on your way to a final destination? I would stay here again.

Nice and clean. Newly renovated. Good Breakfast. Bed were comfortable. Only complain: The A/C in the room did not cool the whole room properly because the room was long. It got very cold on the near the A/C and not so cold on the other bed. The A/C unit was also making big noise. I was told by front desk that setup and A/C noise was about same in every room, so we did not change our room.

This place was clean and comfortable for a late night stop in the middle of a road trip up I-75 for a one night stay. No complaints.
