Traveled in for a night and what a great experience! From the moment I arrived, to my departure! Valet service was exceptional and the front desk was so welcoming! The room was wonderful and beautiful in every way! Breakfast on the roof was amazing, I recommend the avocado toast! 10/10 recommend all the way around!

Excellent hotel with everything of the highest quality. The staff from the valet who parked our car right through to the front desk staff who checked us out were polite, professional and charming. Our room was immaculate and beautifully appointed with high quality cotton sheets, great towels, high speed WiFi and the comfiest bed ever. We dined in the roof top bar where the impeccable service continued and food was top drawer! The bar had a small selection of craft beers and made a wicked cosmo then our food was beautifully prepared. 100% we will be back!

Good choice for downtown Roanoke. The other choice is some sort of funky converted shoe factory.

Every staff member I interacted with was friendly. The bar venue was beautiful on the rooftop and the beds were super comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay.

After a bad experience at another Hilton in Richmond we were hesitant to book this stay but it was lovely and what you’d expect from a Hilton. We enjoyed our stay.

The unaware charges. The only charge I knew about was valet parking because the breakfast was included with my booking and yet they’ve charged my card twice, and it’s been 5 days, and no manager has yet to reach back out! Highest hotel in the area and no pool. Didn’t feel comfortable in the William & Henry restaurant!

The location is good if you are looking for a spot downtown. The hotel provides excellent service and accommodations with several different on-site restaurants. Nice , clean, spacious rooms. My wife loves the white robes provided in the rooms. nothing

We have stayed here before and it is lovely. Ate at the Rooftop restaurant the night we arrived as well as for breakfast the next morning. The food was very good and wine as well. Pricey but nice and the views are amazing. Not so much the view from our room - neighboring brick wall. No view at all. Expensive room for no view.

The Virginian is an amazing hotel in the wonderful city of Lynchburg, VA. We stayed in a king suite and it was so large, quiet and comfortable. The bed was very nice and the big tiled bathroom was well lit and provided both a soaking tub and shower. The Skyline Grill has delicious food and a wonderful, rooftop view of the city. The entire staff cater to your every need. All around a Grade A+.

Each time I’ve stayed here I have been impressed by the friendly and professional staff. The rooms are well appointed and quiet. I appreciate the fitness room and that it is clean with up to date equipment. NA

We had a great two night stay. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable. Huge walk in shower. Walkable to dining and River walk. The only thing I would change is that we had to pay for self parking and had to cross the street to get to the hotel. They do offer valet parking for an additional fee.

The historic aspect was beautiful and right down the block from our destination to our stay. Very helpful staff. Could be priced better given the lack of no pool or hot tub. And the key card for the elevator was a hassle but let us feel safe.

The hotel was very clean and the architecture and decor were beautiful. The restaurant/bar was also very nice. All staff we encountered were friendly and did an amazing job. We definitely will come back again!

At William & Henry l, the drinks, the service, and the food… From rolls to the refreshing lemon basil ranch vinaigrette on the leafy greens & house made croutons, the perfect crunch… To the filet that was perfectly cooked & accompanied by the best Bearnaise sauce we’ve ever had… followed by Key Lime Pie… which the perfect tarte but creamy balance. My best friend got the Chocolate Coconut Cake—- and it was decadent. It just kept getting better at William & Henry Steakhouse!!! After the comedy show we had reservations at Skyline, the rooftop restaurant & bar. It was equally amazing & the view was spectacular! As for the hotel itself, The Virginian did not disappoint! We did not want to leave. The entire building was beautifully decorated, well-kept, and not only was it aesthetically pleasing, but we truly felt safe. To top it all off, we slept so soundly! Those Kingsdowne mattresses are A-maazzzing! If you haven’t been, you should definitely book your stay! You won’t regret it.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was quite and comfortable. The temprature of the room can be adjusted. We will go back to it some day. I am sure there is a reason why water needs to available on the front desk. Having it in the room for a steep price of $341 would be much more better service.

Erin and Bailey went out of their way to help us after an auto accident left us stranded 30 minutes away. Valet Bailey drove 35 minutes to get us at 10:30 at night to get us to the hotel after we were stranded with no U er or Lyft anywhere.

The best part was the very comfortable king size bed. My wife and I both prefer mattresses on the firmer side though I prefer soft pillows and she thicker pillows but we both slept great. Not to mention bathrooms were spacious and we got two free waters at checkin.

Staff was absolutely amazing and the location was as well. Outside of that, everything else was a disappointment as it was average to below. (In all fairness we only stayed one night and did not try the restaurants or other amenities). As soon as we stepped off of the elevator after check-in there was noticeable debris on the carpet up and down the hallway. It was not long after housekeeping had left for the day so very hard to believe it had gotten so dirty that fast. When we entered the room, it was very spacious and definitely cleaner but still some noticeable things missed with the vacuum. The cabinet that contained the refrigerator, had obvious signs of water rot on the lower left hand corner and when I noticed it I opened the door to find the door to the refrigerator open which I found odd. Realized the next morning why they left it open: because when it is closed water pools inside of it somehow and leaks out which is probably why the cabinet is rotted. So obviously someone knows the problem exists, why not fix it. If you want to pay a lot of money for exceptional customer service and an average room, this is your place. I have spent the same money and gotten both at other hotels however.

It was unbelievable. We had the Marine Corps ball 249 years birthday. It was a beautiful vent in the hotel. Did it magnificently if you ever have a chance to stay at this hotel you will not be unhappy great hotel more like a place where you see people that are family.

Wow! What an amazing stay. We arrived late at night and we were still greeted by staff with a smile. The hotel was extremely clean. The beds were comfortable. The views from the rooftop dinning experience was great. It was nice getting Starbucks in the lobby in the morning. The entire design was wonderful. I had two small children with me and everything was perfect. We will be back next year

What a great stay I had with my daughter at the Virginian! The staff is so friendly and helpful. You feel welcome the second you pull up to the building greeted by their wonderful staff! I will definitely be returning soon!

This is a great hotel. I just hope to stay on the other side next time. My view was a wall and there a lots of fans running all night.

The rooms are dated so I had to call someone up to help me adjust the temperature in the room because it was not obvious how to do so. And then the temperature only goes down to 67° surprisingly. A bit of a racket to park with no assistance whatsoever from the hotel and then be charged $12. That’s a scam.

This was a wonderful hotel for the LU graduation weekend. The service was great, the room was clean, and the staff went all out for the graduates with balloons, gift bags, and a reception. My ONLY complaint was the 1-ply toilet paper. LOL!
