The ac was not working good and the breakfast was to late for me at 7 am. Also heard the eggs were cold from others in my group.

Check in desk staff were very friendly. Our room was very clean. The only thing it was missing was bars of soap for the bathroom sink, which the front desk staff gave me as soon as I asked. Coffee was good, and my husband enjoyed his breakfast. The air conditioning worked well and our room was very comfortable temperature-wise.

Stayed two nights there, as part of a touring band, and it was very nice and very quiet. Arrived the night before our show, tired from the road, and were quickly taken care of and given our room keys. Breakfast both mornings was good!

The only complaint I have is that the outlets did not hold my chargers tightly, so it was very easy to knock the plug out; and there were no USB charging ports

The hotel was excellent from the parking lot to the room. Front desk checkin was super nice and accommodating! Morning "breakfast" gentleman was AMAZING! You can tell he takes so much pride in his job, from greeting to ensuring food is maintained to keeping tables clean! He was so sweet! Gentleman in the parking lot was doing a great job too! We informed "cleaning" that we were leaving and he made sure to tell us to have a safe trip and thanked us for letting him know we were checking out! We will absolutely stay there again!! Oh, and the room was CLEAN! Whoever designed the rooms did an amazing job! Thanks for the GREAT STAY!

I liked that I was able to book this room, because the location of the hotel was essential to my travel plans. What I did not like, was that I paid upwards of $400 a night for a hotel that clearly because of its amenities, age of property and its conditions, should really be a $99 a night hotel. The way the hotels in this town hike up the price, just because the local university there has an event that weekend, is really unfathomable.

The breakfast was great. Didn’t have to wait in line. The breakfast area was very clean. We always love the waffles and the food is hot. Always our favorite place to stay. Just had trouble getting in the room with the key card but it’s still a great place to stay. The bed sleeps really well. Always look forward to a good nights rest when we stay here.

The only complaint is the tube plug needed to be completely removed to take a shower.

We had breakfast out, so I didn't even see what was available. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. I forgot my blow dryer and they had one I could borrow. The bed and room were comfortable. The only thing I thing that I might say is that the AC Unit makes a loud humm in the room we were in. We would stay again and it's great if you are visiting Liberty University.

The walls are paper thin. I could hear the guy next door talking on the phone for 90 minutes until 12:30 in the mornng. Also, the highway noise was really loud all night. And the bed pillows are uncomfortable, way too firm and thick. Was very hard to sleep comfortably there.

I could not ask for anything more. I hesitate to leave a good review because I don’t want to have it sold out next time I’m in town, or the prices raised. But I have to be honest, it is the best out of several in town that I have tried. It’s always very clean, and perfect in every way I need when visiting my student. The breakfast is exactly what I like and the tv doesn’t require me to find one of the college kids to come figure out for me. There is actual water pressure and the thermostat really works like it should. The price is always competitive with the other hotels but the value is much better. If I have to have a criticism I’d say the walls are a little thin so you hear everything in the hallway and the neighbors bathroom but everything else makes up for it. This has been my go to the last 3 times in town.

I work in customer service in health care and we try to give some solutions. Like they can say, we will try to get you in sooner than 3pm if there’s an availability but it’s not guaranteed. We have a bathroom in the lobby if you simply need a place to change or something. This is what separates a great stay versus a good one. It’s the customer service.

The free breakfast was good. Biscuits didn’t seem to be fresh, and they were cold, but as breakfast bars go, it was very acceptable. The gentleman who operated the breakfast bar was very friendly, and accommodating. There was nothing that really stands out. All in all, it was good.

We had never heard of Microtel, so we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious and well-appointed the room was. Having made good time on the highway, we arrived early. Luckily, the reservation clerk was able to put us in a room on the 3rd floor right away, so we could have the afternoon free for lunch at Shakers (good food) and visit two small specialist museums. The bed was very comfortable, and there are two desk chairs, a couch and lots of storage space. While Mr Evers, running the breakfast kitchen, was welcoming, charming, and helpful, the hotel's logistics system fell short. In the South, biscuits and gravy are a basic food item -- and there was no gravy! There was an empty cookie holder in the lobby when most of the evening's guests arrived. Several staff members told me that cookies are only prepared on Monday and Friday, which seems unusual. We arrived on a Friday, so either the cookies were not baked or the entire stock disappeared quickly.

Honestly an amazing little hotel to stay at, it was super clean, the rooms were very nice. Staff were great from the check in to check out even did a wake up call. The Continental breakfast was great even could maybe your own waffles and free coffee. Will use this location next time I'm around.

Room was ok but… they had done some painting of the bathroom ceiling and there were paint splatters literally on every surface and wall of the bathroom. The rest of our stay was satisfactory but it left me wondering what else they cut corners on. Also, the air conditioning made a weird wheezing sound. The staff was very nice, especially the breakfast staff who did a great job.

Only a small mirror in room. Brownish red splatter on bathroom wall near light switch and sink I had to wipe off. Body wash bottle was empty. Hair on product bottles and light switch. AC made loud clattering noise when on. Mattress has worn dip that felt like you had to climb out of to roll over.

This hotel was perfect for our family stay in Lynchburg. It was clean, comfortable, and felt very safe, which is something we truly value when traveling with kids. The staff were consistently kind, welcoming, and professional throughout our stay. I’d especially like to extend my gratitude to the breakfast lady - your smile and kind words in the morning meant more than you know and truly made our days start on a positive note. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to other families visiting the area.

The Staff was friendly and accommodating. I had a small issue with the bathroom in my room and they corrected the issue immediately. I will stay here again.

1.All pets are mandated to the second floor which could be somewhat inconvenient. Not all pets like elevators and there is a convenience to being on the first floor with pets. 2. And, that they do not advertise the extra one-time fee for pets. Outside of that, the place was great! Convenient location, nice employees. The woman who covers the breakfast area is the best!! So accommodating and attentive, not afraid to step in to help and clean messes… best of all, wore a smile and was pleasant every time I saw her 😊

The staff was good. We had trouble with the tv, but staff member came in to fix the issue. I did pre-check in, and had to redo check in again at the front desk.

I stayed here on a college visit to save money, paid $105 per night with taxes. I plan to return to the area and next time I’ll spend a bit more for cleaner smell, better finishes, and better lighting. It wasn’t bad, I would say it was priced right. I usually stay in places that are closer to $150, and I would have been less happy if this cost that much. The staff was very friendly and helpful though, no complaints about them at all!

Thr room was very nice, clean and inviting. The staff greeted me as I was arriving and and they were filled with smiles. I can say, I don't see that much anymore. The food was hot serving eggs, sausages and waffles and other breakfast foods. It was worth the stay. For me the bed was comfortable.

I have stayed here several times. It is convenient, staff is very friendly and efficient and I enjoy the hot breakfast every morning. My daughter and her family live in the area and this Microtel is very convenient to multiple locations of interest.

Staff was very friendly. I had a late check, front door was locked, side service window was closed. There wasn’t a sign to tell me how to get in. I had to find a way to grab someone’s attention to let me in. To my surprise, I found the rooms very equally spacious – not too big and not too small. Very efficient. Its color schemes are good to the eye. I couldn’t ask for a better room. (Thumbs up) normally when I think of Microtel, I think of the tiny rooms that Microtel has. The room size surprised me. I would stay here and other locations again.

Refrigerator is not cold and has no freezer. Rebecca refused to put my ice packs in the hotel freezer. I will have to toss the food that I am traveling with or risk food poisoning. The pillows are flat. The hotel is not providing the breakfast that was supposed to be included in the cost. I used to enjoy staying at Microtels but this experience changed my opinion.

The only good thing used to be the breakfast. That’s also screwed. No orange juice, no juices at all, no yoghurt, cereals are too sugary kind like fruit loops , very ordinary rooms and breakfast. Will avoid next time.

The cleaning around the property and inside the hotel was nice and clean! Once I observed my room, I didn’t have to call the front door to complain about any unclean areas in my room! I will definitely return back to this hotel!

The room was well designed and clean, and the breakfast staff was friendly! We do have pet allergies to dogs, and my husband had a bit of difficulty breathing, but that is our issue. Maybe have one section of rooms where pets never stay? Thank you!

Clean. Comfortable. Confusing lighting options in the room: small buttons on a horizontal bar above the desk instead of a lamp. Great breakfast offerings including fresh scrambled eggs and sausage but area was next to cleaning room with strong cleaning odor. Hopefully this will not be a problem in the future. Definitely would stay there again.

Room is clean, spacious and the attendance signed me in right away. I also called my room to make sure I had everything I needed. Breakfast options were kind of limited, but they had the staples.

Wonderful experience. A few minutes after checking in and settling in my room I received a call from staff to make sure everything was up to standards and if I needed anything; that was a kind and much appreciated gesture. No other hotel has ever called to make sure all was ok. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Felt safe. Great location with several restaurants and shopping within short driving distance. Coffee/machine available in lobby 24hrs, serves hot and good coffee. Only wish they served breakfast until 10AM for those of us not rushing to get on the road.

On the evening of our stay I discovered mold growing on the bathroom ceiling. I noticed this around 10:30pm. Since we were told at checkin the hotel was completely sold out and my children were already asleep I figured there wasn't much that could be done. I did text the staff at the front desk about it. I didn’t hear anything so I went to bed. In the morning I spoke to the font desk. I was told the mold was likely due to a recent water leak. I requested a full refund for our stay. I was told that since I had booked through Hotels.com that I would need to go through them. I reached out through Hotels.com and was only issued a partial refund. It is clear this property does not properly clean it's rooms or value it's guests. Mold is a health hazzard and a full refund was warranted.

This was a wonderful stay on our trip through Virginia. Addy, who prepared our breakfast, did an excellent job! The food was great, she checked with us to see if we needed anything else, spent a few minutes chatting with us before we left. Also, the gentleman working at the check/in desk(I can’t recall his name), helped troubleshoot issues we had with the tv on check-in. We have never stayed at a Microtel, but will certainly try to stay at one if needed!

We absolutely love staying here when we go to Lynchburg. We had been traveling all night and were exhausted and they allowed us to check in early to our room so we could get some much needed rest!

I booked a stay here to check out the area and employment in my field. My travel day was atrocious resulting in a very late arrival. I had to request another room within an hour of my arrival due to the a/c unit sounding like a F-150. The staff was accomodating despite me having to move to three different rooms during my 2 night stay. The gem of the hotel was Addy. She was very personable, knowledgeable of the area and greeted each guest within proximal distance. I want to thank those staff members who demonstated great customer service. They were exceptional with turning lemons into lemonade!

What I will say is the staff was pretty helpful in all regards. Especially the ladies on staff (all who i encountered). Probably one of the better budget friendly hotel I've stayed at. Probably would stay hear again, especially on my visits to Lynchburg.

Jessica at the service desk was very kind and attentive and helped us get our two rooms set up next to each other. One of the hotel room doors rattled when anyone walked down the hall, which made us a little jumpy throughout the night.

The property was amazing! The room was clean and so spacious! The breakfast included eggs, sausage, and fresh waffles! Even though I stayed a night, I am so pleased by the staff and accommodations!

I reserved a suite and when i got to hotel there were no suites. The tv was broken, the ac fan was broken, shower leaked on the floor half way across the bathroom floor. They gave you half a roll of toilet paper that ran out in middle of the night. The shampoo bottle in the shower was empty. The tv is a 30 inch, there is no business center and no housekeeping. This is a cheap hotel with cheap plastic furnishings. And the walls are thin and you can hear everything in the hall way. Lastly, the carpet was threadbare. I will never stay at one of these hotels ever. And i left early and could not get a refund. They are cheap, cheap, cheap

It was a great experience. Super friendly and helpful staff. Good location, close to several restaurants. Could walk to the Little Caesar’s for a cheap meal. Great breakfast buffet (get there early). Overall great stay. Be aware that there is no pool (bummer). Also be aware that the hotel jacked rates up significantly for the Liberty University graduation. $300 a night was excessive but it was the only room available for 60+ miles away. Definitely was not worth $300 a night. I’m sure for a normal priced stay, it would have been given a 5* rating

Great stay. Liz was exceptional and went above and beyond to make sure I had something to substitute pork for breakfast.

I almost took off a star because they had the toilet paper on the roll the wrong way… Seriously, we stay in Lynchburg frequently and this was a nice place to stay. There are places to which I would return, but I would definitely stay here again.

This spot was perfect! We stayed here because of a college visit. It was clean, comfortable, and the front dest was very helpful.

Only arrived late night, and left early in the morning. The staff was fantastic, and the room and property were very clean and well maintained. Would use it again for the same conditions.

The advertisement showed a full breakfast but there were no eggs, meat, fruit or cereal. Worst offering of a breakfast I have ever seen offered. I ended up going out and spent $20 on a drive through breakfast.

Nice location. Pretty new hotel. Everything was clean and worked well. Noise was the worst part. You could hear every single step someone made in the hall, in the room above you, etc. Pretty good breakfast.

The stay was very pleasant. Room was, overall, very clean...however the fabric on the sleeper sofa should be cleaned more often ss there were stains visible. The "gym" had no weights or machines, just a non-adjustable flat bench...tbis should be addressed IMMEDIATELY!

We had issues with the satellite TV. It initially did not work at all when we checked in. After somone came to reset the TV, the service would constantly reconnec every 5 minutes which made it difficult to watch any show. The message indicated it could be due to weather but weather was not an issues all 3 nights. The breakfast only includes eggs and sausage on the weekends. The eggs were gone by 8:30am along with yogurt one day. We were glad we packed a sound machine to mask the highway noise. Overall, the hotel was fine but these minor issues just made our stay okay.

Room looked and felt dirty. Mattresses were nasty! The lady servicing the breakfast area was kind.

The staff are kind and helpful. The hotel lobby and rooms were very clean, considering it was snowing. The property needs a little updating, IMO. There were IPhone stations in our room for really old iPhones. Overall, it was a nice place to stay, and the price was good.
