Our two day stay was affordable and our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable,

Staff was great

Clean room. Clean indoor pool. Excellent value for the price. Motel is a bit hidden but not far off of I-64. Well worth finding it. Breakfast had waffles, biscuits and gravy, the usual cereal variety. Would stay here again.

Bkfst was served and ended extremely too early for travelers. Room exceeded my expectations for a motel. Not sure of other rooms was 136 was a goodie!

Room was clean, we really enjoyed a restful night. Breakfast was on time. Sitting under pavilion was a added bonus for morning coffee. For sure on our next visit we will bring the kids, for there's a safe place for them to enjoy being outside and for us grill hot dogs. Thank you

Everything was fine except for the floor. Unfortunately I walked around in bare feet and when I went to put shoes on, they were disgustingly dirty on the soles. Knowing I went to bed with clean feet, it only could have come from the floor. Left me feeling a little…ughhh.

The place is clean and has a good view of the sunrise but it is extremely overpriced i mean $1120 for 2 nights and the bed was so miserable i didnt even stay the second. Hotel refused to give me a partial refund. I dont suggest this place at all.

Conveniently located, clean rooms, fridge in the room, virtual check in was easy, standard continental breakfast - what we love most is no carpets on the floors which is lovely. Overall solid hotel and we would stay there again.

Pleasant lady on the check-in kiosk. But a live man came out and just scowled the whole time he was there. Completely unhospitable. The rooms seem to be updated but the door had light coming from under it and the walls were thin. Sounded like a herd of elephants over my head. There were drunk people yelling outside my door from about 8-9 pm. It was scary. Train tracks on the other side of the parking lot were very loud through the night. No TV remote in the room, so I couldn’t watch. Was a motel, not an “Inn and Suites”; what a joke. I was scared for my safety. I would avoid returning at all costs. Will do more research if I come back to the area!

My room was supposed to be non-smoking, yet it smelled strongly of cigarettes even after being “cleaned.” When I tried to address this, I had to speak with someone via a tablet instead of an on-site staff member, and my concerns were dismissed. Additionally, I was told no extra towels were available because no staff was on site, which is unacceptable for a hotel. Overall, the property felt poorly maintained and gave the impression of a place used for “short-term” stays rather than a safe, clean environment for guests.

I hate that there is a robotic check in system. Is that an AI person in there doing the check in process? The manager still had to put the key in an envelope and assign the room. I had already paid online. I have been in many hotels and this just creeped me out. Also, skimpy breakfast...coffee machine not working right.

This was the first time I have ever seen a robot hotel desk clerk, operated by someone at a remote control call center. You should clearly state this on ALL web pages and affiliates. This is NOT the future of hotel "service." I will not return to this hotel, solely for this reason alone.

Satisfactory Making the turn into and out of the property is rather treacherous because it’s difficult to see traffic coming from all directions!

Door was uneven with a large gap at the bottom (air seeped in. Hopefully not bugs or rodents came in from out of the cold.

Needless to say, we panicked and made this reservation, expecting a dump. That is NOT what we got. The room was clean, towels were thick and clean. Breakfast was fine. The check-in was weird. I was uncomfortable doing this as the entire room of people listened. That is my only complaint. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The toilet stuck

When I got there the área was dark. Inside there was only a machine for checkin. Since I was traveling alone, it felt very unsafe.

We checked in via FaceTime/computer and did not interact with staff. Because it was Liberty Univ. parents weekend we paid $300 for a room that was very simple so I’m sure the price was jacked up. There was no continental breakfast (as per info provided). I paid a similar price at the Hampton Inn in prior years for more amenities.

I rated as fair due to lack of real people on site. The staff that I interacted with remotely were very helpful and courteous. This hotel was very close to the Lynchburg Baseball Stadium, which is why I was staying in Lynchburg. The door to lobby was locked when I arrived so I followed instructions to pick up red phone and wait for someone to answer. I tried 3 times and each time got a recorded message that there was no one available at the extension. Finally a person's image popped up on the check in screen, which I could see from the door. I could hear that she was saying something. Then the door lock clicked and I could get inside to actually check in via video screen. The connection was poor and I had difficulty understanding the person. But, it all worked out. Just frustrating at night after 9:00 PM. Also, I requested an accommodation room and was assigned to one, but the only accommodation was one hand bar to use to step into the regular bath tub. No hand hand bar near the toilet. Recommend that more detail be given regarding after 9:00 check-in, and a description of accommodation in handicapped room. Also, I would like to know if anyone is onsite overnight. I've never stayed in a hotel where there was no real person on site to check me in, even after hours. The only options at the free breakfast was carbohydrates, but there was a good selection of breads and cereals.

The room was nice and clean I didn't like having to pay $50 deposit plus $172 for a room with two very small beds. Didn't sleep well that night. The beds were uncomfortable as we're the pillows. Also at check on and at check the clerk was virtual and with her accent it was extremely hard to understand her and hear her

The motel was great. One complaint was when we checked in around 10pm, the clerk had us check in through a pane of glass. It was pretty cold standing outside. Perhaps the neighborhood was not safe, but it would have been nice to have been invited in for checking in.

Inside the hotel rooms were good. Very close to highway.....and other restaurants. Warm breakfast served. Manager audrey was very friendly. Had a great visit without spending too much

Great access from the highway. We were also very impressed with the warmth and cleanliness of our room. It was very comfortable. The room always smelled great when we returned. The hostess (Audrey) when we arrived and during our stay was so kind and friendly—she was funny also—making her guests laugh. I felt bad for her as she had been there 37 hrs straight—not being able to go home to sleep—even though she was very tired—she did an excellent job—always attentive to her guests. They do need to get extra help as one person cannot handle everything for everybody for so many hrs/days straight. If we go back to visit that area, we will stay there again.

Breakfast was a disaster as the power to the kitchen area kept going out when waffle maker and toaster were both on. The breakfast room was clean, but the hot food was not fresh and the area feels very cramped (it is very small- juice machine is in the hallway). Parking lot was icy. The room itself was clean with dated fixtures; very serviceable.

Some recent upgrades have made the hotel seem new. This is the best of the low price hotels in the area.

It was a nice, simple hotel. I wasn't there for thrills, but I want it to be clean, affordable and have nice staff. This hotel had all the above. It was reasonably priced, close enough to Liberty University. The lady at the front desk was very personable and took good care of you. I think her name was Audrey. Nice lady. they had a nice breakfast area for you in the morning. I'd stay there again.

The hotel was ok but the person wandering the halls at 1 am banging on all the doors was terrible. I was out of town on a business trip and needed the sleep, once he woke the ENTIRE floor up the police came and they kept me up the rest of the night. I can not understand how someone on what ever he was on would be allowed to even enter the building and then wander around the halls telling everyone " he was hurt and needed money" at 1 am.

We booked a smoke free room, however, when we arrived, the room we were given reeked of cigarrettes. The hotel had no other vacancies, so we were stuck. We had to run the fan at night to aerate the room and the temps outside was in the 30s. At times we stayed out late even though we were tired, just to avoid staying in the room. Had there been another room available, I don't doubt that our experience would have been more pleasant as the staff was friendly and hospitable.

The water in the shower trickled out. Having long thick hair, it took a long time to rinse it out. The bed was a little too hard for me.

I enjoyed staying here. While it didn't look like much from the outside, the room itself was pretty nice. The bed was very comfortable and you could tell they kept the room clean. The only problem was the faint smell of smoke that permeated my clothes. It wasn't super strong but it was noticeable.

It was a basic motel room. Clean and comfortable. There is what seems to be on going renovations. Close to Liberty and easy access to highway for shopping, dining etc. My only wish would be to have a mini coffee maker in the room to go along w/ fridge/micro.

Always enjoy my stay at this particular Econo Lodge, it's close to great friends of mine as well as downtown. Rooms are nice, beds are firm and clean.

The customer service was great no problems checking in. The room was very well and I could tell they just cleaned it. The décor does need to be updated but besides that great hotel for the price.

Manager very nice, extremely friendly and helpful. Room was decent. No chain or other secondary lock on the door. I do not believe I have ever stayed at any motel that did not have a second lock. For that alone I would not return.

Basic hotel. Beds were okay, but not quite like "home." Did have a small fridge and microwave, which was nice. Cleaning crew did not leave additional toiletries after cleaning each day (I was there four nights), and there was no hair conditioner, if you need that. Room lighting was a little dim, but would be fine if watching TV was all you wanted to do. Room was clean. Not in the best section of town, but not bad, either; it's really as safe as most places with fancier hotels. No decent restaurants nearby, so plan to travel to eat. If you visit in the winter - as I did - and the area gets one of their famous snow/sleet/freezing rain/ice storms - as they did while I was there - the entrance is on a hill, and it is very difficult to make it into the parking lot.

Room was clean. Good for a cheaper night's stay. For lighter sleepers, the fridge made noise when it turned on, the heater/fan clicked off and on and not able to keep fan running all the time for 'white noise'. Train track close by, but no horn blown at night. Breakfast was sufficient, but no hot food. Receptionists were friendly and helpful.

Hotel could use an update. But I guess you get what you pay for. Room was clean but in my opinion the hotel does not rate a 3 as shown in the Hotels.com review.

The hotel was inexpensive, so I was not expecting a luxury, five star place. The place was clean, quiet and mostly comfortable. Perhaps the worst part was the toilet seat, which pinched my leg every time I sat on it.

We were in town for Liberty University's College For A Weekend for our daughter and needed a place to stay for a couple of nights. The hotel was fine, staff courteous and friendly, the room was clean. They offered a Continental breakfast which while limited in choice, was good in quality. The WiFi signal was strong in our room, no complaints there. Though there did not seem to be anything to do in the immediate area, we didn't really look around either. We pretty much went straight to LU and back. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Non-smoking rooms smelled smoky and had burns on the seats.

Everything about the room was above my expectations for a budget hotel. The only problem encountered was a creaky floor that was so creaky throughout the room, that I worried about falling through to the ground floor room below. It really was pretty comical.
