Staff was friendly. The room was dirty. The bathroom mat was already on the floor and there was hair all over. The shower, the sink, the floor, the mat. The corners were packed with dirt and dust, the vent filter was full of dust. The sheets had stains, the ac was extremely noise, the bed was uncomfortable and noisy. There were sketchy people in the parking lot, paper was to be surveilling incoming cars. Bath towels are rough and small. No hand towels given at all.

Great location and price. It was clean and had everything we needed to visit and sleep afterwards You can hear the rest of the guests walking through the hallway

The bed was too hard. It barely bent when you sat down. The entrance to the property was very narrow.and not clearly marked. Missed it the first time.

The staff was super helpful, friendly and kind. The room was clean. For the price it is an awesome option. Even though I manage to park in the property every night, there is no enough actual parking spaces for all the cars.

Location was really good. And it having a fridge was good. A bit tight parking. A microwave would be good & wash clothes would be good, it only had 3 bath towels. But we came prepared. Over all it was a good place for the value. We will be back April 9-11th.

Free parking is very good and walk about 30 min can arrive Hollywood area. Drive to universal or Hollywood sign are close. Smell very bad in the room and the window from the room look so broken

Man at the desk was friendly. Close to CHLA. Location is awful, parking lot is extremely small, is one way with the tiniest entrance off a busy street and apparently doubles as public parking so parking isn’t guaranteed. Pretty sure the neighboring room was running drugs or similar activity as they were in and out all night long slamming the room door and car doors. I didn’t feel safe and continually checked on my vehicle all night long to make sure it wasn’t being tampered with or stolen. Toilet paper was a half roll with no backup roll. Front desk is not staffed 24 hours. Beds were ok, nothing fancy and not enough pillows.

Male owner came and knocked on my foor at 9:30 first night to move my car, as if they were not exactly in the middle of the small spaces not everyone would fit. Had people parked behind us as well. Floors in room made our feet black on bottom. My bed was literally up against the ac unit. Rooms had mold in showers. Older couple running hotel, posdibly need more help to improve cleaning and upkeep. No ice or vending machines, no elevator

I liked that transportation was stels from the door. You can take the number 2 the moment you walk out to the right at Shakey's. I also like that the heater in the hotel goes up to 90°, nice and toasty since Cali was literally colder than Atlanta last week!! But I will definitely come back, I ask the front desk if there were pestilence because I was traumatized from something im the past at a cheap hotel in Orlando Florida amd she said no, when I went inside she was not lying. There were no bugs but I was still on guard until after a few hours I calmed down and realized this hotel was very clean and comfortable. House keeping happens every day and they are very nice people. It happens at a certain time of day and so you may be home when they knock. It was no microwave, coffe maker, or streaming services on the TV but I think this is because they want to encourage people to use the room service as they have a menu that you can order from. Some high end hotels do this same thing so it's not really a dislike, it's more so an amenity we wish was there. We managed and it was surprisingly quiet even though we were near the street lol we came for new years and the most noise we heard were the firework near 12am and every now and then a car horn but it didn't give new york noisey vibes. So I will book again.

Honestly, for the price this was a great hotel. We just needed a room before an early morning Dr appt near by. The neighborhood has great eating options and feels pretty safe, and quiet once everything closed. The room was clean, quiet, the beds were comfy enough. For $99 it was above my expectations! Staff was helpful and nice. We did have to park my husband's truck (it's on the bigger side) on the street, but we found a spot close by.

It was 10 minutes away from Universal Studios. The price was reasonable and the bed was very comfortable thankfully! The TV channels also had a variety of options for everyone to enjoy. The parking lot was VERY small and the blinds in our room were just paper blinds that were poorly placed on the window while some other blinds were “actual” blinds. On top of that there were some corners or spots in the bathroom that look like they haven’t been cleaned in awhile. Overall,

It is a very nice, clean, conveniently located, safe place to stay. Friendly ataff, good, relaibek maid service, everything in the room worked well. I stay here often in LA. Area outside in neighborhood, csn be a little sketchy ,just be cautious, pay attention outside the property. A good positive experience.

It’s a small (not a huge amount of rooms) but it’s cozy for me when I’m there working and away from home. Everyone is nice and for me it’s quiet enough for me to sleep during the day.

Rooms were remodeled but they accused us of causing damage we did not cause then threatened to ban us from all nearby hotels which I thought was rude being we had nothing to do with the damage. They then moved our room from the one we stayed in for two days to a bottom in the alley room #10 where random people walk up to the window smoking cigarettes that blows into the room if open. Then they accused us of smoking when I do not smoke and my partner clearly smoked outside in the front outside of the hotel which was very inconvenient. No other window in the second room we were moved to, bathtub had issue with the hardware said the plumber was off for the holiday. Blanket felt like sandpaper.

When when we checked out, my friend I got bug bites, we were telling one of the staff. The old lady refused to listen and said that we got it from somewhere else which is not true. We told her because she would know how to improve her business but instead, she said her hotel doesn’t have bed bugs and blamed us. This is not how you run your business.

Inexpensive and good enough. All I needed was a bed and a shower. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Area around the hotel was not the greatest, but I had access to groceries and decent eateries. Nothing special, but well worth the price. Noisy vehicles all night, but that is not the fault of the hotel.

Not enough parking spots for everyone, I had to park next to the dumpster. Only small cars can fit. Towel was dirty. Toilet wasn’t flushed when I got there and someone pubic hair was on the toilet seat. Never got a wifi password. Shower didn’t work properly. The rating for this hotel should be 2.0 stars, MAX.

Which brings me to the reason you'd want to stay at Value Inn, other than the ridiculously cheap price for the area: Location. Yes, the immediate area around the hotel is seedy, but not in a violent way. Plus there are like 3-4 bakeries and half a dozen Thai restaurants of high quality within a two minute walk. Plus there's easy access to a bus line and two Metro stops to everywhere you'd wanna go in LA. Overall, I'd probably give VI a 7.3/10, with anything over a 7 meaning I'd consider staying there again. For now, I'll say goodbye to Hollywood, but it was a value of a stay!

The motel is amazing! It’s clean, the staff is very nice! They are good persons, the motel is located in a good place, the bedroom is comfy and beautiful too. I really like it and I will go again next year! And the price is very nice too!💯

As soon as I parked my car, an Indian man waved at me and tried to treat me like someone who went to pay cash to stay with a woman, as soon as I told him that I booked my reservation through Hotels.com and asked him if he worried there and where is the office, he stepped back and showed me the office. I was really pissed off at the treatment from this man. Now, I am concerned whether my documents will be safe at their hands.

The girl at the lobby is really nice . But the hotel is the worst hotel I've ever been in. Bathroom are gross dirty with hair everywhere. The bathtub didn't work. No microwave . Super small room. Smelly just don't go there I wastes $112 a night

The girl at the lobby is really nice . But the hotel is the worst hotel I've ever been in. Bathroom are gross dirty with hair everywhere. The bathtub didn't work. No microwave . Super small room. Smelly just don't go there I wastes $112 a night

Danny the owner was very honest and polite. Now that will be visiting our son in college this will be our point of stay affordable and pleasant. Don’t judge by the area is a good hotel.

A great place to stay on the go. We heard a lot of people screaming on the street or somewhere around, nothing that could brother us but the personnel was very kind.

Room cleanliness and the office was very nice and professional. However, there were people in the streets yelling nonsense all night. And very thin blankets.

I can not express how much I enjoyed my stay at Value Inn, my flight arrived after midnight, I got to the hotel around 1am, and they still checked me in, it is ran buy a lovely family, they make you feel so welcomed. I can honestly say I have no complaints about this property. I loved everything about it, I can’t wait to go back to LA, I will be staying at Value Inn again.

Terrible accommodations when I have stayed here before no problems and then they switch up on their policy twice this has happened either they take cash no credit card required to check in or they take your cash put you out because now they require a credit card when I has checked in a few days ago no credit card all cash had a room no problem

This place was a great find! I didn’t expect much in this neighborhood but was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean…and I mean clean. It passed the ‘sock test’ meaning that I walked around in white socks and they weren’t filthy which is usually the case with most motels. The staff were polite and courteous, great service! No noise, no complaints, great WiFi, really a great stay

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Judge it by the kind and warm owners who run the place. They were very kind when I first came here and the young guy that checks me in is a really professional and genuine happy to help you and would hire him to manage my businesses in a flash.

I will be honest and direct - in LA for 2 years now- originally east coast - i don’t find many people in Los Angeles to be kind or patient or anything other than selfish and the type that won’t do you a favor. Especially in a “value” priced motel- in Hollywood!! DURING CORONA! What I’m trying to illustrate is that in these rough times most business owners are judgemental and paranoid and won’t give you anything more than bare minimum service and respect. I am a small business owner and single and often have more than one bag with me and so I’m often treated like a homeless person or ex convict by some - I also

Check-in was quick and easy. Staff was responsive. Parking felt safe and secure.

The location is great, allowing for easy access via car or public transportation to WeHo, Walk of Fame and DTLA. Property had noticeably upgraded room furnishings.
