Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the hotel's cleanliness, comfortable beds, and convenient location in downtown LA, close to public transport and various attractions. However, there are consistent complaints about the high cost of parking, outdated facilities, and poor food service. Some guests also experienced issues with room cleanliness and maintenance, as well as unhelpful front desk staff.

After checking in, we went to the pool area and were informed by an employee that the pool was closed due to an accident that had occurred earlier in the day. I then went to the front desk and explained that one of the main reasons I booked the hotel was to use the pool. I asked whether a refund or accommodation could be offered. Unfortunately, after speaking with the manager, I was told that no refund could be provided because I had booked through Expedia. While in the lobby, I encountered another family whose children were already wearing swimsuits. I informed them that the pool was closed, and the mother expressed frustration because she had not been notified before arriving at the pool with her kids. She mentioned that she had driven an hour from Pomona specifically to enjoy the hotel's amenities. My main concern is the lack of communication. When a major amenity such as the pool is unavailable, guests should be notified at check-in—or ideally before arrival—so they can make informed decisions. Clear communication is essential, especially when an amenity is a significant factor in choosing a hotel.

Hotel smells great!! And the beds are wonderful! Especially the down pillows and comforter! However, the pull out bed did not have linens I had to call and request them. I wish that was immediately available, especially when traveling with a tired child. I ordered breakfast at the starbucks Cafe area, I ordered a spinach feta turn over that was pretty good according to my 12 year old, I ordered a breakfast bagel sandwich wich was good, I then ordered a ham and cheese with potato breakfast burritos it was probably one of the most bland burrito I have ever had with zero trace of cheese (not a single spec) the potatoes were not cooked it was just BAD! With that bieng said we really enjoyed the pool! And the room was specious and beautiful! We booked the suite with the city view. We will be booking again but won't be ordering the burrito :) the food and beverage vouchers were also a very nice and thoughtful touch.

Love how clean the property & rooms are and everyone on staff we came across was super friendly and helpful.

This is an historic hotel in LA. That's one of the things that made me select it...but once I got there and the awe factor passed, the hotel is showing its age. Is due for an upgrade specially at the rooms. Nothing is really bad, beds are comfortable, room is clean, etc. but I don't think is a 4 star Hotel anymore and definitely not worth the price tag, if you add the mandatory valet parking cost, it adds up quickly.

This is my third stay and I have had a great experience during my stays. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

The housekeeping staff was very friendly and keep the room very clean and stocked with towels and coffee. The valet parking guys were efficient and friendly.

The hotel is a great place to stay when attending an opera. Everything was classy and you feel pampered from the moment you walk in. A beautiful place to stay.

Only gave 4 stars because I would have preferred to have more ambiance by the pool. Everything else was excellent.

Had a great experience at Western Bonaventure! The staff was friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout my visit. The property is beautiful, and the view of downtown Los Angeles is absolutely amazing, especially at night. Highly recommend!

The property was very clean, room was comfortable. Double bed with city view. The only thing I disliked was the amount of street noise that we were able to hear every night from outside traffic and sirens from Fire and Emergency Vehicles it really did disturb my sleep each night that I stayed at the property.

This is a beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff. No issues there. There were a couple things I didn’t like about my stay here though. For some reason the lobby floor has a strong perfume smell which made my stomach turn. The pool was very far away from our room. The restaurant has an amazing view but it was very expensive for what came on the plate. And overall I wish the Westin honored the beauty of this property a little bit more. It feels like all decisions made are based on the idea of what can we spend the least on and charge the most for. This hotel is one of the most beautiful architecturally in all of LA but the Westin has taken away from that by trying to make a buck.
- 5/5
Awesome hotel stay! It’s in a central location in downtown. They have amazing amenities and a really cool movie history. Interstellar was filmed here (NASA Headquarters). I would come back again! :)
- 5/5
Nice rooms. Clean. Friendly staff. Parking is expensive and valet only. $52 per night.
- 3.5/5
The location is great with many great restaurants near by The cafe in the lobby courtyard never has the items that one orders on the kiosk and the staff members are terribly overworked. For such an iconic hotel, it’s a shame that they treat the cafe workers in a manner where they looked exhausted. Plus they make the same staff run room service orders so for a “quick service” expect to wait 30+ minutes for your food. Especially after 9pm
- 3/5
Really like the lobby area with the fountains and the decor. This hotel has been an icon in DTLA for ages. Valet parking is a breeze to get the car in and out. Getting quick service at the lobby cafe takes greater than 30 minutes. Not enough staff even during the morning and evening rush time. Workers looked very tired.

The parking, we pulled in very tired and I'm sure there were several events going on. It took us 50 minutes to park with Valet, it was after 10 pm and we just wanted to sleep. People were honking, reving their engines it was uncomfortable.

Ok so here is a review for all you people traveling. This is an awesome hotel. It was so good we stayed for an extra night. The staff were very friendly very welcoming from the valet to reception even coming across housekeeping from time to time they all very kind and welcoming. The room was very clean and very comfortable. Very little noise. The shower which is a big thing for me was one of the best i have had in a hotel. I could stand under it for ages. The facilities were top notch we are in LA prime restaurant and it was one of the best burgers I have eaten. The pool is great maybe a little small and no jacuzzi which is a shame cause is don't swim.so much but you can easily take a dip and walk around. The elevators too were even an experience on the outside of the building. The buffet breakfast too was incredible we didn't even look to eat breakfast anywhere because it was perfect. I do wish there was an option to book with breakfast as its expensive but its worth it. There is a great coffee shop in the building too. The view from our room was amazing but there was one catch with it that I will discuss below. The area outside the hotel is very clean. We did go and walk about a mile from the hotel and yes you could start to see the homeless side of LA but not to a point where it made you feel uncomfortable. In terms of traveling around LA it was also a great base. We saw a concert at the forum and the waymo was not expensive. We drove to the Beverly hills and the Hollywood sign all very accessible from this hotel. All in all we loved this place and definitely a base for us if we come back again. I am not sure on value for money. I paid 706 for 3 nights and a additional 245 for the extra night. Maybe would have been better if I had bundled 4 together. They also gave vouchers for free wine and spa treatment for couples which was a nice touch. All in all great stay. I woild advise caution over the view. I booked a high floor with a city view and when we arrived the view was simply of the freeway. We were on the wrong side of the building. I went to reception and asked to change this as it was my GF 30th and a special occasion for us and they were very accommodating about this. Dropped us down a couple floors but moved us to the other side. They said all there rooms are designated as "city view" but the freeway in my book is not city. The view we did get was stunning but I did go to reception to get it. I think if I booked again I might not book with the high floor cause if your on the wrong side doesn't really matter. Parking is another downside. 50 dollars per night plus tax on that. So for our 3 nights it came to 187. It adds up in the end. And one small complaint which didn't impact our stay was the air con. It was very noisy I think if we had stayed in a warmer time and needed the air con it would have been annoying but the weather was 70s for our stay. All good.

Great place to stay. Our first time staying downtown LA so it was louder than we expected. Great food, beautiful hotel. Close to Dodgers stadium. The only thing that I would like to see different is the valet parking actually bring your car to you. A very small inconvenience though.

I then had to go back downstairs and wait in the long line all over again just to get the room changed. What was most disappointing was that there was no effort made to compensate for the inconvenience or make the situation better for my family. Instead of offering an upgrade or any type of accommodation, we were simply moved to another similar room. I understand that issues can happen, but I expected more effort to help make things right, especially considering the inconvenience and the fact that I was there with my children.

Very low water pressure ( we live in LA and know what it should be) and the shower head did not flow water easily. Very convenient location for Dodger games
- 2/5
Could not get key card to rooms because machines were down. Tried to check in at 3:30 pm before going to dodger stadium and could not check into room or get bags to room or even freshen up before going out. I did not return till 12:30 am. I told the check in desk when they asked how my trip was. Paid over 200 for night to just sleep and shower in the morning.

We didn’t eat there. Pay attention to room size because our room is very small, but it worked for us. The price was perfect on Expedia if your platinum member. Ours was only for one night, but I do advise if you stay more than one night. Definitely get a bigger room than we had. Everyone there was very polite.

First, when we arrive we didn’t have access to luggage carts. I had to go up the escalator 2 floors, stand in line, hand over my drivers license and the go back downstairs for our luggage. As much as we get charged as guest I think we should have been helped a little more and luggage carts should be available or at least nearby. Secondly, I was in the Red Tower and there was a loud party in the restaurant below and we had to listen to that music for 3-4 hours. Also, my husband called downstairs to find out how long the party would be or could we move to another room and the rudest woman answered the phone. She told us that the restaurant was independent and Westin had nothing to do with it. She had a very nasty attitude from the very beginning. When we asked again how long the party would go, she finally told us Nine o’clock and she hung up in our face. The next morning I did report this incident to the manager. I just feel like the amount you , including what ever is a destination fee is, you should be treated better. I was excited to stay here but left very was disappointed.

Huge property with big clean rooms, good food options and a nice outdoor pool. Staff at check in weren't as friendly and helpful as expected. Concierge and valet were super nice. - 3/5
The hotel is centrally located. Which is nice and convenient. The rooms were small which I was surprised given the amount of money I paid and how big the hotel really is. One of the things I DO NOT recommend is bell services. When I arrived it took bell services more than hour to get my luggage’s to my room. During check out it was the same issue. I had to call like 3 times to see if someone was coming. The third time I was told that the bell person had come and knock on my door and no one answer so I had to literally grab all of my stuff and put them outside our room so he wouldn’t miss us. The valet is awesome. Super easy to drop off and pick up your car.

The hotel itself was nice. Looked and smelled clean, rooms were also tidy. Very frustrating to navigate through the hotel especially if you have a high floor. The most inconvenient part of our stay was the way we had to jump through hoops to get decent service. Everything you needed from the staff you had to pick it up at the front desk, which was a hassle and time consuming given how big the hotel is. Pool area was also so hard to find, too many stairs, hallways, and not enough direction. Some front desk staff wasn’t very helpful either, and made things more difficult when we asked for simple requests for our room.
- 4/5
Architecture of the building, floor plan, location, amenities. Staff attitude, greediness unwilling to help, unmotivated to answer questions.

My wife, my sister-n-law, my son and I stayed here the night before the 2026 Los Angeles Marathon. We picked this location because it was close to the marathon starting line and offered a shuttle from the hotel to the starting line for runners since there was no way to walk to Dodger Stadium. This hotel turned out to be perfect for the marathon. We stayed in room 1652 and even though we were a little early for our check-in our room was cleaned and ready for our arrival. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and made the check-in very smooth. There is FREE WiFi if you need it. The bed was super comfortable and the room was very spacious. No need to bring dongles because there were plenty of USB ports to plug our devices into. Parking was valet only for $59 a night or your could park in the garage next to the hotel for $8.99 per night. This hotel was very clean and has been unkept very well, but if you explored around at all you could see that back in the glory days this was the place. There were several spots for business, restaurants, that were just sitting empty. A sign of the changing times. If you are participating in the Los Angeles Marathon and do not want to deal with traffic and parking. I would stay here. My rating: BEST

One of my favorite hotels for the amazing lobby. A little disappointed this visit that we weren’t advised that we needed to let housekeeping know that we wanted the room made up every day. Also disappointed that the staff did not repair the phone in the room as requested. And the water pressure in the sink faucets could be higher without hurting anything. Certainly will stay there again, but don’t slip from a four star. Would have liked to have known what the situation was. They kept us out of the hotel on Saturday afternoon.

Both were great. I would rate it a 4.5. Bartender could’ve been more attentive, waited to long to order a drink. An additional bartender was needed to meet the needs of their guests !

I then requested a traditional credit card receipt, which the server tried to produce. For whatever reason, she couldn't get the receipt and I had to sign the room charge receipt. A manager also tried to print a CC receipt, again, without luck. When I checked my credit card transactions, I saw that instead of being charged once, I was actually charged three times for the same meal. As the three charges were still in a pending mode, I tried to get this resolved at the restaurant. In that regard, I spoke to another manager the following morning who checked the transaction and believed that it would self resolve, i.e. the two additional charges would fall off. The next day I checked my credit card and all three had posted. I called the hotel and requested to speak with the restaurant manager, but received only a voice mail. I described the situation and asked that my cc be refunded. I didn't receive a response and now I'm forced to file a dispute with my credit card company. Dates: 2-11-2026 (date of service and charge) 2-12-2026 (spoke to restaurant manager about additional charges) 2-14-2026 (call to restaurant manager)

TV in main sitting room never connected to the cable to show anything. Bedroom tv worked until the remote would not change any of the channels. I left the hotel a night early out of frustration. Hotel is a much older hotel than the pictures let on.

Staff and amenities were wonderful! The location was great. We will return

This hotel is WONDERFUL!! We were in town to deal with the sudden passing of a relative and the bright spot was this hotel. The room had a stunning view of downtown and the west side to the ocean and to South LA. The room was spotless, the bed cozy and comfy. The shower had great water pressure. (We were in the 28th floor) the hotel is in a great location downtown—with easy access to ride shares at both entrances. And the hotels restaurants serve great food. There’s also a Starbucks and gift shop. It’s a city in a city.
- 5/5
The service was excellent. The hotel was clean and very quiet
- 4/5
No comments we were comfortable and it was very clean. No complaints.

The hotel is beautiful, wish it was noted beforehand the expenses to park the car and extra fees they’d charge on top of total costs
- 5/5
Overall an excellent experience
- 1/5
We stayed here as a family while attending the IMTA event. My year old daughter slipped on a stairway between floors due to dog feces left on the steps and fell down 10 stairs. An incident report was filed, but the follow up handling was disappointing. For a hotel hosting large international event with children, safe and response need improvement
- 4/5
Best restaurant eggs we have ever eaten. Variety of breakfast options. We were there for the Rose Bowl so there were many large groups, including tour groups, and the service was efficient and quick.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly at check in. Check in process was quick. Room is nice, quiet, and clean.

Great hotel
- 5/5
Drinks and food good. Amazing time at floor 34 revolving bar. The service throughout hotel was subpar. With the exception of valet dept, every single other employee we encountered in any area were surprisingly unfriendly and not helpful - front desk, bars, restaurant… it’s like everyone there hates their job or something. Definitely expected a better level of service from a hotel of this stature.
- 5/5
Everything is very excellent
- 5/5
Amazing view lots of restraunts and spacious

Overall stay was good. A little outdated but room was clean. The bathroom showerhead doesn't get all the water no matter how hard the lever below is pulled up, sharing the water with the bathtub faucet. The bathtub water drains very slow.
- 5/5
Great hotel, and location. My boyfriend and I stayed here and went to a concert at the YouTube theater. The Uber was about 20 minutes. We also went to an event at the LA convention center earlier in the day which was about 10 minutes from the hotel great views from the room of the city. We would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Room was clean, great location and staff was friendly. Hotel was busy and I felt safe.
- 5/5
I liked the amenities. From FedEx to hertz car rental. I loved the revolving restaurant plus they had a variety of choices of restaurants.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean , the workers were all nice

- 5/5

I didn't like fees
- 3/5
We booked a one-bedroom king suite for four people. When we checked in, the room did not have sheets, a blanket, or pillows for the sofa bed. We had to go to the front desk to pick up the items ourselves. We were told that only one pillow is provided for the sofa bed, and I had to specifically request an additional pillow. The only staff we interacted with were the registration desk employees, who were not particularly friendly—they answered questions but didn’t seem very welcoming or proactive.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Front desk staff and valet were very kind and hospitable. Cleanliness was great and there were a lot of amenities offered to us. Bar manager wasn’t as helpful when his barkeep went on break and was asked to give us our food once it was ready but it’s okay since I got up and retrieved it myself. The barkeep also came by after break to make sure we had everything we needed. Other than that, everything was amazing and the stay was overall very comfortable!
- 5/5
Good view
- 5/5
The room was spacious, the desk check- in efficient, amenities including a steam iron plans!!! and water provided , coffee - all good! The food was delicious with a hearty breakfast and location was good for our venue!

Great hotel
- 5/5
The room was spacious, and clean. The bed, so comfortable. But the view, breathtaking!!!
- 5/5
Clean, nice view, and very nice furniture. 10/10
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful. Our music festival had postponed our original dates and initially Expedia said that they were unwilling to reimburse me but Maria in their finance department was so helpful! Everything worked out! Great location and the beds were so dang comfy too!!
- 3/5
The staff was nice and very attentive, but our room was quite small and very outdated.
- 1/5
Customer service at the front desk was terrible (agent working guest registration on 11/27 at 9:00 pm). She was rude and behaved as if we were bothering her. Since the Bonaventure is in the hospitailty business we would expect gracious and helpful service - this is not what we got from her. The room we ended up being assigned was a nightmare. The shower was spurting out water from the faucet base instead of through the shower head. There were clumps of hair on the bathroom floor and stuck on the wall! We were later told that the rooms on this floor are not being used for guests (renovation?) but was not told this information before being moved. We requested to be moved from the original room because our dog would not use the glass elevators - we needed a stair-accessible room. The aforementioned agent made us feel guilty and bad for causing this problem. We understand that the dog was not the problem for the staff, but we are GUESTS and a polite and friendly staff member would be expected to help us problem-solve. We would not recommend this hotel - the building is tired and the staff are not up to expected standards.

Check-in options after 5 p.m. are minimal, and the valet’s instructions aren’t clear. The room, unfortunately, had an odd odor.
- 5/5
A great stay!
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was nice. The breakfast buffet was a little pricey for what they offer.
- 5/5
Staff, room, view

We stayed at Westin for the distance to Dodger Stadium and we loved the hotel. Good check in service, room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was delicious. It was our first time , but we’d love to come back and enjoy the rest of the hotel!

Room is really quiet, clean, and the bed is super comfortable. Not much shower pressure, but overall, my stay is great.

Love this stay! All staff was super friendly and helpful! Always my go-to when in Los Angeles
- 1/5
He did not refund my room after the weather storm
- 1/5
Front desk phone staff is extremely rude and arrogant. Additionally, I was charged for a room i never stayed in due to a cancellation of an nearby event. Hotel Manager would not accommodate and would not even answer the calls of the booking service I used. Absolutely horrible experience.

- 5/5
Excellent breakfast in a very nice hotel.
- 1/5
Upon our arrival the man at check in was rude and unhelpful. Room low quality for price. Mobile app was not user friendly. I called to order room service by pushing the room service button on phone in room. Told to use mobile app. Access to an amenity listed should not be that difficult to access. Bed was old lumpy and too soft. Sofa pullout the absolute worst. No attention to detail poor quality in entire room. For $500 a night I expected more. I will never be back. Waste of money
- 5/5
Staff was awesome we got there early and they were able to get us a room right away such awesome customer service
- 5/5
The room was small but nice. The stairs and towers in this hotel are doooooope. So many stairs. Would be cool if they could get tenants to fill up their shops

We stay at the Bonaventure every time were in the Los Angeles Area. Which goes back to the early 1980s. Never disappoint us. Excellent Service, Perfect Location and well priced.
- 4/5
The breakfast buffet has a lot of variety, it also has Asian style food in case anyone is looking for that. Overall I would stay again if the price is reasonable but would request to change rooms if the bed is uncomfortable again.

They said all fees were included but then I needed to pay for parking and they over charged me for the parking definitely would never stay there again and would not recommend
- 5/5
But nice working A/C and super fast room service and very clean room.
- 5/5
We were able to check in and from what we saw the hotel was clean and the staff at the valet were professional. The young lady that checked us in was very nice and understanding with the requests I had to make. We did not stay because if the fear of heights my partner had. The young lady tried to really ask for accommodations for us but unfortunately we were not able to stay.
- 5/5
The area around the hotel — folks getting in fights in the street and even short walks from the hotel did not feel safe.
- 5/5
The Westin Bonaventure in downtown LA is a lovely hotel. Upon arrival and riding in the glass outdoor elevators I was instantly memorized. The rooms were wonderful, and the layout of the hotel is unique and something to remember. Overall had a great time here.
- 4/5
Stayed here for a night just because I’ve wanted to check out this place ever since I was a kid. Great views and a very interesting room, being that it is a slice of a cylindrical tower. Very easy to get lost walking around and the pool is hard to find. Still, I really enjoyed the 70’s futuristic architecture. There is a 6 story blighted mall at the base of the towers. I really hope that it comes back to life someday. Walking distance to Grand Central Market and the Regent Theatre as well as many other DTLA venues.
- 5/5
Such a unique and beautiful property.
- 5/5
Clean room, staff really friendly
- 5/5
Very nice place
- 5/5
Great room
- 4/5
The front desk should give a better welcome with a smile
- 1/5
I received an email the night before checking in that my reservation was canceled, with no reason given. Although I was given accommodations at another nice hotel, it was my great desire to stay at the Bonaventure and I am extremely disappointed that my reservation was canceled with Almost no warning and no reasoning!!!
- 4/5
Love the place!
- 1/5
We arrived in the hotel around 8-9pm, while we are checking in at the hotel, somebody was cleaning the ceiling because of the leak. I left my Air Pod Pro in the hotel, it's been 2 weeks now, but still I haven't heard from them. Every time I called the lost and found department, they are not even helpful. They just told me to go to that website to file the item that was lost or left. I will NOT recommend this hotel to any of my friend or families, and I will not be back to this hotel.
- 4/5
Room was clean with a great view. Pool was enjoyable. LA Prime never disappoints.
- 5/5
Very clean hotel and love the food service. I will be staying here again.
- 5/5
Excellent service
- 1/5
too dark everywhere reminded me with all the cement of a prison yard. constant machine noise in room wore earplugd
- 5/5
This hotel is BEAUTIFUL, we will definitely be coming back when we revisit LA.
- 4/5
Friendly staff.
- 5/5
The property took care of all of my requests in a timely manner
- 5/5
Awesome place to stay while in L.A. my new favorite hotel!
- 5/5
Staffs were nice and very friendly. They accommodate my needs.
- 1/5
I was double charged for the stay. There were numerous “miscellaneous” charges I wasn’t aware of and did not give permission to charge my card for. I was charged double for a “destination tax fee” or something. Horrible. Just charge what we agreed and leave it be.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and a great vibe
- 1/5
I didn't stay there
- 5/5
Brett in the lobby bar was great. Room was great. Would definitely reccomend it
- 4/5
Hotel was in great proximity to lots of restaurants and entertainment. Wouldn’t stay the staff was the most friendly. I’d stay again.
- 4/5
Clean room, walkable!
- 5/5
Safe environment although parking is a little on the pricey side.
- 1/5
This hotel has been my go-to for over 15 years when I visit LA, but I always felt ripped off by the fact that they charge extra for section items. I won't be staying there again.
- 5/5
Awesome!! I like this place. Everyone is so friendly
- 4/5
Location was great and parking was easy (World Trade Center parking 28 dollars/night). Hotel was clean and pool area with kids easy. Sun is suning there only 2 hours (11 am-1pm). Room was big. Staff was friendly.

- 4/5
It was a nice hotel
- 5/5
I experienced some issues that were out of the hotel's control, such as construction noise around 1–2 AM. However, after a quick call just to verify the sound, the staff didn’t hesitate to offer me a room switch to the other side of the hotel. I really appreciate the quick response and excellent service. Thank you, guys! made some one random feel special. thanks Expedia and thanks you Westin Bonaventure Hotel and staff.
- 5/5
Room was super clean, beds are comfortable and lots of places to eat
- 5/5
The staff was amazing. Our trip started off poorly with transportation issues and took us longer than expected to arrive. We were promptly allowed to check in a little early and it made a huge difference in getting a little rest after a long ordeal. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was helpful in making food recommendations. There a so many great eats around in the area.
- 4/5
LA is a dirty city. sucks that a place like this is in the location it is. the pool is a lot less than i expected from a westin. gym was meh. service at the bar was great when Brett was there. otherwise, mid.
- 5/5
Great option for activities at the Crypto.com arena since it’s walkable. The hotel is luxurious with nice staff. Cool elevators and spacious hotel room. I definitely recommend. Also valet is expensive but is very safe and has welcoming staff.
- 5/5
Property was beautiful and amazing. The person on the front desk who checked us in was his a terrible employee and should be evaluated. She was rude right off the bat and wanted to charge me a late check out just because I left my bag in the room and needed someone to get it for me. She never even smiled I don’t know why she is in customer service with her terrible attitude.
- 5/5
Valet parking was a hassle but other than that everything was great!
- 5/5
Beautiful Hotel, Lot's Dining choices, nice bar/lounge, great views of Downtown LA and close to The LA Coliseum.
- 5/5
As big and extensive the hotel is, there's signs everywhere to ghide you to where you want to be. The lounge is exquisite. Gives a feel of old school LA. Got to experience the pool. Its heated and a great size for laps in the morning.
- 5/5
Everything was phenomenal when I asked for a microwave they brought one up to my room.
- 4/5
Thumbs up
- 4/5
Very clean room lots of dining in the area
- 5/5
Helpful friendly staff
- 5/5
It was amazing to stay at that Hotel
- 5/5
Nice hotel in center of LA
- 5/5
Excellent facility located in a "run-down" section of downtown.
- 5/5
Clean Room
- 4/5
Good hotel, friendly staff. Pricey on food and drinks. Not a bad area. However, they will charge you $65 a day for valet parking, and there is no other place to park. Be aware of this when booking, as it's not clearly disclosed.
- 5/5
Wonderful property conveniently located in downtown.
- 4/5
The bed is clean nothing to nitpick about, I loved the lavender mixed oil roller sample they leave in room. It gets a bit worrisome after hours because of the homeless issue in the state but nothing I'm not used to seeing being from NY. Otherwise great experience at The Westin
- 5/5
Super nice and the staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
Great hotel and friendly staff
- 1/5
They charge you $200.00 a day every time you leave garage this so wrong and they don’t tell you they doing it.
- 2/5
The property is older and the carpets, doors, rooms, etc. reflected the age.
- 5/5
Very gorgeous safe hotel, near mayor entertainment and many dinning options. The pool was beautiful as well, the views to the city was gorgeous
- 5/5
Pool was great and suggest using pool at night for the views!!.
- 5/5
Awesomeness! Great experiences ! Staffs are amazing and wonderful !
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable.
- 3/5
I was there for two nights, and room never got serviced, even though I asked specifically for some towels, they were never delivered.
- 3/5
Cool building and history but the rooms show the age of the hotel.
- 4/5
Generally reliable. Convenient . Parking is easy. Staff is friendly. The downsides this time: the pillows were too big (hard) and there was a problem with the toilet
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel! Quiet and close to laptop of things that we wanted to do!
- 5/5
Easy walk to Grand Central Station and other eating establishments. Convenient for Ubers to Union station for free Dodgers Express Bus to ballgames and for Flyaway bus to and from LAX. Several restaurants within the motel, nice pool in private area, nice Lobby area for drinks, light snacks, tv watching. Enjoyed our stay!!
- 1/5
The staff were not great be prepared to wait at all times. Bell service lost our luggage. Shower didn’t work, parking is inconvenient, terrible $40 breakfast, room smelt like cigarettes
- 5/5
I heard voices clearly from the next room, and it was noisy.
- 4/5
Hotel was very nice. However all the dining options were closed (all restaurants). Parking was very expensive too.
- 5/5
Iconic building
- 5/5
Wonderful view, fast and nice staff, nice bar, quiet, close to entertainment and shopping
- 3/5
The hotel is seriously dated. Everything requires a refurbishment. The color scheme and furniture are straight out of the 90’s. No one even answered the assistance hotline. When you called valet they also didn’t answer. Getting from parking to the front desk with your luggage is ridiculously difficult; you must traverse the 2 escalators and there are NO bellman to assist.
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
I loved the whole experience. We will definitely be back on our next adventure
- 5/5
The pool and gym was beautiful 😍
- 5/5
The room was small but nice. Everything was clean. Lobby was beautiful! Checking in needs more staff or faster service.
- 5/5
Excellent rooms and a really nice experience overall
- 5/5
Great experience. Very clean with plenty of amenities and near by experiences.
- 5/5
Second time staying here and will definitely rebook. Staff was friendly, amenities and location is unbeatable.
- 5/5
The staff are amazing, and the room was pretty clean except we did find someone’s lashes in one corner of our room floor, which grossed me out a bit. We also had a non working tv, but the staff easily moved us into another room. Overall a great 7 day stay! Thank you!
- 5/5
Enjoyed my quick visit. Easy to check in and out with very professional staff
- 5/5
I loved the stay however they need to get maintenance to fix a few things.
- 5/5
The room and bed are really clean I felt safe sleeping on the bed. The staff were really sweet and helpful. They also helped me with my concerns.

Hotels just OK needs updated badly. I need to turn some lights on very dark ultra around the lobbies in the hallways. Once again the hotel needs to be upgraded.
- 5/5
Staff amazing!!!!!
- 5/5
Good Vincity in downtown.
- 5/5
I truly appreciate the help that was given. My fiancée and I were stuck in California with what was suppose to be a 3 day weekend trip, that turned into a 3.5week trip because our vehicle broke down. I was able to extend my stay, with no hassle twice, in the same room then the third time was explained why I had to switch rooms. Which I totally understood as they already pulled a few strings prior. I truly appreciate that. Thank you!
- 5/5
Great customers service. A+++. All around great experience.
- 5/5
Great time
- 3/5
They charged me for parking when i didn't bring a car. Needed the manager to remove the charge
- 5/5

- 5/5
This place is pet-friendly as well and welcoming.
- 4/5
Staff was excellent, food at the lobby restaurants and cafe was great, pool was cold and not very clean and pool towels were unavailable
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay at Westin Bonaventure. I booked a one night stay in a tower suite and it was a beautiful room. Bed was so comfortable, bathroom was huge. We had a little wet bar station and view was amazing! I would definitely am one back here

The hotel was fine, however the cost of parking was ridiculous. $57 per night. Extreme, unexpected and disappointing. I expect to pay for parking, but $57 per night is robbery.

Our one night stay was great. I wasn’t thrilled by the breakfast, but everything else was fine. Lovely hotel.
- 4/5
Hotel lobby area is a bit dated and the rooms are small. But we felt safe and it was within walking distance of food and other sites.
- 1/5
There was not parking
- 4/5
Half of the water at the shower faucet is wasted bc of a bad diverter. There are coffee and tea in the room, but no coffee maker, besides that everything is good.

I have stayed there before that’s why we chose to stay at the Westin unfortunately, my room the carpet was torn from the restroom to the outer side. It was pretty disappointed.

Property management ..so so but convenient, walkable city view.

My room and housekeeper were wonderful. Also, the bell n valet person were awesome!!! Front desk agent has less friendliness, we had a questions to ask but answering with "bothering" attitude.. I did NOT go back to the front after check in. However, due to the Valet n Housekeeper, we staied over 7 days here but so comfortable and make us want to stay longer. Wish they have more dining variety. Little pricy and need more and better flavors...

Great place! Would stay at again!

Not a bad hotel. Looks very modern in lobby and elevators and amenities but the room itself feels dated. The shower water pressure is very low and the beds while comfortable do not feel as clean as they should. My sheets smelled like cigarettes for some reason. Valet, while the workers are nice ; is VERY pricey. $56 a night! In / out is unlimited but it takes upwards of 10 min to get your car. And if it’s busy time of day, could be even worse. Plan accordingly. It’s in a convenient spot downtown, close to the stadiums and arenas but the area is a bit sketchy the further away you get from the hotel/ I:e jollibee or Taco Bell. Again, not bad but I’m sure there is better options in the area. I expected more from a Westin

The surrounding area however, is quiet and peaceful, which is perfect if you’re looking to unwind. It’s not the most action and fun packed location.

Closer to the most party places in LA with a great view & safer neighborhood. Would recommend this place for convenience.

Horrible checkin experiencie - checking app had issues and only 1 person at coutee serving all guests

I went there for my 25th anniversary. It was close by just a few minutes away from my house. Everything was great. The person that checked us in was not very happy. He looked like he was in a bad mood. Other than that everything went well I do think that the lounge and the restaurant upstairs need updating a bit. I chose this hotel because this is where I used to come with my husband when we were teenagers.

This is my new stay whenever I come to DTLA!

My daughter and I had a wonderfully comfortable stay. She cherished the early check-in, slept-in as she waited for me to arrive, and relished the pool on a warm day together. This made her graduation day an unforgettable experience! Thank you!

We stayed at the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles for 4 days and had two connecting rooms. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to expectations. One of the showers in our rooms was not working upon arrival. We reported the issue right away, but despite multiple follow-ups, it was never fixed. No one offered us an alternative room, repair timeline, or even a basic apology—let alone any compensation. Additionally, I prepaid for breakfast for the duration of our stay. However, the hotel insisted I had only paid for one day. I escalated the matter to the Manager, but instead of addressing our concerns professionally, he barely looked up from his computer and dismissed us. As a Hispanic woman traveling with her family, I couldn’t help but feel that our concerns weren’t taken seriously or treated with respect. For a brand like Westin, this level of service was extremely disappointing. I expected better hospitality, attention to detail, and courtesy. Sadly, I won’t be staying here again—and I hope the hotel takes this as a wake-up call to improve both customer service and staff accountability.
