Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the hotel's stylish design, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. However, the location, while convenient for some, is a source of noise complaints and concerns about the surrounding area for others.
- Stylish design and comfortable beds
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Noise from the street and surrounding area
- Lack of certain amenities in the rooms
- 4/5
A bit far than I expected from places but staff were really helpful and friendly.
- 4/5
A little confusing to get to at first, but very convenient location for the event I was participating in. UBERing back is sometimes confusing due to not knowing where to be dropped off. The hotel itself is very discrete
- 4/5
We enjoyed staying here. The room was cute with great lighting. The only issue we had was the internet was no good so watching tv was no fun as it kept buffering. Other than than room was comfortable and close to so many food options.
- 1/5
This hotel books through third party sites (Hotels.com/Expedia)that fooled us into double booking and kept the money. We are not certain who benefitted from this but both blame the other. SHADY! It's a shame because we really liked the hotel.
- 3/5
You need a code to open everything
- 2/5
Great location, though, near a number of theaters.
- 4/5
Not bad to be on down town
- 1/5
The place was nice. However the parking sucks. Had to walk two blocks and pay $35 a day. There is a Cannabis shop below and the smell is bothersome. We had children with h us not to mention and we smelled like that because the smell was in our clothes. This was not mentioned during booking. Reached out to them and no resolution given. The manager wasn’t willing to compensate in no type way after we spent a lot to stay there. I will be reaching out to corporate about the matter.

All good all around.

The staff went above and beyond :)
- 5/5
Our stay at The Audemar Hotel was easy from check-in to check-out. They have keyless entry which was super easy for our larger group. We booked the Double King room and the beds were comfortable and there is a nice lounge sofa and tv that we enjoyed having. There is also a full kitchen and laundry machine in the room. Definitely a great choice if you’re looking for comfort and good value in the city.
- 5/5
All was great. Owner was friendly.
- 4/5
The room was gorgeous and clean, very trendy. The staff were super helpful and nice. The only downfall would be the smell of weed outside of the building and the Wifi was a bit weak sometimes, but other than that super great stay.
- 5/5
Parking was not secure.
- 5/5
We stayed in the Penthouse and really enjoyed the experience. The apartment looked even better in person! It’s very spacious, comfortable, and well-designed with 2 bedrooms and a large bathroom that can be separated into almost like 2 bathrooms. The staff were accommodating and helped us with parking our car. Would definitely book this room again.
- 2/5
Property did not have the following; microwave in room, continental breakfast, a phone to call the lobby, phone charging stations in room, no dressers to put clothes away, and no parking on site.

Hotel boutique muy bonito y el personal latino que atiende es muy amable y servicial. Muy recomendado
- 5/5
My mom enjoyed her surprise stay. It was like home away from home
- 4/5
Great room for a group- area near hotel was not super walkable.
- 5/5
Room is very clean and nice and comfortable. Air conditioning was very good, no problems with anything, close to shopping, theater, etc I will go back there when in LA.
- 5/5
Great location well maintained nice customer service
- 1/5
The soundproofing is terrible—the bikers on the street below kept me up until the wee hours of the morning! I didn't get a wink of sleep all night!
- 1/5
The staff was very kind, but this place was low quality and not clean. The bed was not comfortable, and the sheets felt cheap. There were not enough lights in the room. The hotel was in a terrible area and did not feel safe.
- 5/5
We had a great experience staying here. The place feels even bigger in person that the photos online. The owner was welcoming and is helpful throughout the stay. The keyless setup was super convenient, and having a nearby parking lot made a big difference.
- 1/5
The neighborhood is TERRIBLE!! My car was broken into the first night and left with thousands of dollars in damage. The hotel was of no assistance at all. Loudest hotel I've ever stayed in. The street noise was unbearable. We had a drunk blaring music across the hall from us until 5 in the morning and the most the front desk would say was that they were aware. Terrible beds with nasty looking sheets. Nothing looks crisp and clean. That's the best way I can describe it. Not out right nasty, but not clean. The toilet clogged constantly from just using the one ply toilet paper. The hotel towels were nasty, random, discolored, scratchy things you'd get at your granny's house. NO soap in the shower, and when I asked for some, he seemed put out, but said he could bring me "a cup of soap" because the dispensers wouldn't arrive for a few days. He did end up bringing me a soap dispenser. NO housekeeping for a 3 night stay!!! No lighting, outlets, phone, ANYTHING you'd expect in a normal hotel room at this price point. TV is Roku only that you must submit with your own info. Basically DO NOT STAY HERE
- 3/5
Cons: the arrival directions are outdated. It asked for parking and mentioned a $35 charge if I opted in. I said yes but then was instructed to park at a lot across the street. There was no charge but very strange to even include that in the instructions. It also said to upload a photo of your vehicle to the text message thread even though they’re not even offering valet. The parking lot they mentioned did not include overnight parking and closed at 8pm, but the instructions said to notify the lobby so they can give us a clicker to get our car past the closing time. The address that was provided was for a sketchy parking structure behind the actual hotel. You’re better off parking in the lot across from you and we had to go a few blocks out for overnight parking. The whole thing was weird. The building itself is very old and run down. It was as clean as it could be which I was pleased with but there’s light strips that are peeling off and random stains on the walls. There was also no breakfast provided or mentioned when we checked in. Come to think of it no amenities were mentioned when I checked in. They just told me where my room was and that was that. It’s fine for if you need a place to sleep at.
- 5/5
WHAT A LOVELY SURPRISE! We went to a concert close to the hotel. It was such a lovely room. We absolutely loved staying there, and Carlos was most helpful
- 5/5
Everything!
- 5/5
Older building, fully renovated, stylish and very welcoming and helpful staff. Room was large and comfortable if somewhat sparse, with proper amenities. Strong wifi and access to a highky servicable fitness room in adjacent building. Central location makes up for lack of a bar, restaurant or coffee shop on site. I look forward to stating there again.
- 4/5
The neighborhood isn't that great, and the hotel lobby. The rooms were great, and the staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
Stay was awesome staff was great ! I will definitely stay here on my next visit .
- 5/5
Great modern stylish room!
- 5/5
I really appreciated the digital access to my room. It made check-in quick and stress-free. The ambiance was great for us perfect for resting after a busy day. Everything felt well thought out, and I didn’t encounter any issues during my stay.
- 1/5
To put a card on file for a deposit, the front desk said it was an extra charge. The front desk took my deposit for the room via Venmo on his PERSONAL account. Checked out this morning and I was told I had to wait until the front desk person who clocks in at three pm for my deposit back when check out is at eleven am? lol then I spoke with a manager/owner over the phone and he made me cry all he kept telling me to do was calm down and kept interrupting me instead of hearing my worries. As a woman, I felt bullied by the three men I dealt with there. They didn’t make me feel safe or secure and they are definitely doing bad business! A lot of broken items and bed frames are terrible
- 5/5
What I like is that you can convenietly order food while staying in the hotel and have it delivered to the room. It was perfect for staying in. Overall, it was a smooth and satisfying staying and I would definitely come back again.
- 2/5
The property is located in a very gato area. Location is filthy, such odorous, homeless walking around nonstop, and the hotel itself is gross, old, smelly, dusty furnitures, and the towels has yellow stains in them.
- 2/5
There was no cable available
- 4/5
Comfy bed.
- 1/5
This was the worst
- 5/5
Stayed in the suite for a 3-night business trip. The layout is perfect! The living area is separate enough from the bedroom that I could take Zoom calls without feeling like I was working from my bed. Location is convenient, walking distance to the convention center and great restaurants. Will definitely book this suite again for my next trip
- 5/5
The renovated rooms are good, I'd say they are only good for sleeping in and having a wash. The black paint and blackout curtains can make you sleep in especially with great bed and pillows. The layout isn't really one to hangout in. There isn't a dining table but you do get a super long counter top and just one chair. I'd say go out if you want food or something. The place doesn't block street noise very well and I think there is some machine on the roof, I keep hearing a whirring noise upstairs. The noise isn't coming from the fridge or air con. It is overall fine if the cons aren't a big deal. The location makes up for it.
- 2/5
The location: Anything south of Main St (the back side of the hotel) did not look safe and Spring St (the front side of the hotel) was more decent. The shower has really little water coming out, even when turned to max, AND when turned to max, the water is scalding hot. So I had to turn the water to medium and the water is even less. Every shower was a pain to experience... There was no room cleaning during the 4 nights I stayed there. (I didn't really mind because I kept things pretty tidy myself and had minimal trash). The body wash in the bottle fixed on the wall smelled questionable. I did not use it after one pump. The staff was friendly, but the essentials of this hotel are not good -- noise, location, amenities, etc. Do not get fooled by the pretty pictures of the rooms.
- 4/5
No problems just a smaller place so no corporate perks
- 5/5
Nice, large, and comfortable room, helpful staff. I really enjoyed the electric kettle in the room. A few delicious restaurants within a block kept me well-fed while I stayed here for a conference.
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Amazing room with lots of space. Dodgy area as is true with most of LA.
- 3/5
The room was clean but the building and room had a smell not bad but not good. On there was website it said parking available. There was very specific directions on where to park and to take a picture and send it to a number, But once we got there the reception said we had to pay $34 for parking, which was nowhere listed on the website, only said parking available. And we were very confused when he just pulled up a Cash App code and didn’t specify until we asked how much. Also they didn’t have toothpaste which is okay, it’s not the worst thing ever.
- 3/5
Hotel is the poster child for “average”. Price was good, so hard to complain and say it’s bad. But it’s a very ruff hotel, you park a couple blocks away in a parking garage with a broken elevator so you have to walk up and down the ramp for traffic as the stairs were also locked the whole stay. Rooms are average as well. Cracked toilet seat, cracked sink, creaky bed, and just an overall bad upkeep of everything. Slept horrible all 3 nights as your right on a main road and zero attempts to sound proof the room were made as you can hear EVERYTHING happening all night. Staff rarely greated or attempted to talk to you at all, looking more lost than ready to help. Whole operation seems like a bunch of people just doing the minimum to keep it open.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location was excellent—very convenient to nearby shopping and everything we needed. The hotel was very clean, felt safe and secure, and the overall atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others looking for a great place to stay.
- 3/5
The room was clean enough, but there was garbage in the mini fridge from the last person who stayed in the room, and the TV didn't work at all. The AC was good, though.
- 5/5
Thanks for a great stay!
- 5/5
It's nice. Simple. Cool.
- 5/5
The room was nice and comfortable, especially for longer stays. Overall, we keep coming back because it’s always a good experience—great service, good location, and just an easy place to stay. Would definitely recommend.
- 5/5
All the staff are friendly and easy to approach. There are some extra charges like parking when you check in, but that’s pretty normal for DTLA, so it wasn’t a big deal, and the price was still reasonable.
- 5/5
Carlos at the front desk is our favorite. He’s always so accommodating and told us about the room service breakfast this time which was such a good deal!
- 5/5
The staff were amazing. They really went above and beyond to make our stay special. The penthouse and the room were absolutely stunning, and my family loved every bit of it. Plus, it’s just a quick and easy walk to the Fashion District, which was really convenient.

Everything was great.

- 3/5
Sketchy area
- 5/5
Nice clean setup down the street from coffee shops and market and nightlife. Parking across the street is additional cost
- 5/5
Love the spacious room. Had everything I needed and wanted. Security was tops. Perfect location to downtown shopping and restaurants. Just one little addition would be nice, a full length mirror. 😊
- 3/5
Street noise on the friday/saturday I was there was so loud that I didn't get to sleep until after 2am. Hotel is real cute but missing lots of little livability things: there was no plug for cell charger by the bed, no coffee maker in the room, no light in the closet, no bath mat, and it was so dark in the bathroom that I had to put makeup on in the other room.
- 1/5
The staff is extremely rude and unresponsive.
- 5/5
the sweetest staff i’ve ever met. felt so safe and comfortable.
- 5/5
DTLA has many things to do and see
- 5/5
We stayed in the City Suite for two nights and it was honestly a great choice. The space was bigger than we expected and very clean when we arrived. I liked that the seating area was separate from the bed, so it didn’t feel cramped at all. The bathroom was well-maintained and stocked with essentials. The location made it easy to get around downtown without hassle. Overall, it was worth the price.
- 1/5
Not a good place to stay in.
- 5/5
This apartment was perfect for our short trip. It had enough space for us to relax after a long day and the beds were sooo soft. Check-in instructions were clear and smooth on the Duve App and I was able to order room service directly from my phone.
- 5/5
Nice rooms and good location
- 5/5
The King room was simple but very comfortable. The room was clean and well-arranged, with enough space for our luggage. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I would stay here again for a quick trip.
- 2/5
The parking situation was very confusing and misleading. We had to pay $35 for parking which they don’t add the pricing of their parking in their listing.
- 2/5
Staff was kind though.
- 5/5
This is actually my second time staying here, and I am back due to the proximity to the convention center. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they now have breakfast in the lobby for a good price. It saved me a lot of time in the morning.
- 5/5
We had a good stay here. We liked the electronic check in and app that we could book parking and room service on. They made it super easy for our short stay

We booked the Penthouse for a special weekend and it did not disappoint. The place is extremely spacious and even had a nice patio which we weren’t expecting! We had a small birthday dinner here and it was the perfect spot for a small celebration.

The location is really easy to access the best restaurants and nightlife. We got to meet one of the hotel room service staff who made our stay extra special and the drinks were delicious. Our room was incredible and exceeded our expectations, mainly because of the cool artwork and the huge living area. We are definitely coming back here next time we are in LA.

Major safety concerns. Doors don't lock by themselves. Need to use a code to lock. Works on the outside. Have to bolt the lock when inside. Had another guest walk in on us when my friend popped down to the lobby for coffee and forgot to use the bolt. No place to load in or out. Bare minimum for amenities. No room phone, alarm clock or coffee pot. No counter space or real storage in the bathroom, including no place to hang we towels. Could go on. Suffice it to say, traveler be wary.

Fantastic room great space. Very clean only complaint was the bathroom double doors did not close so there was no privacy. Someone had shoved a butter knife up into the mechanism of the door and when we try to close the door, it fell out and almost hit us.

The Audemar does not match its online listing. Upon arrival, I found the room and facilities significantly different from advertised photos. When I requested to speak with management about these discrepancies, they were unresponsive. I attempted to request a refund through the booking platform for one night due to false advertising and poor service. The hotel denied the refund citing non-refundable terms, despite the property not meeting advertised standards. When I followed up, management made unsubstantiated claims about guest conduct that were completely false—apparently using this as justification to avoid accountability. This property appears to rely on misleading marketing and false accusations rather than addressing legitimate guest concerns. I do not recommend this hotel.

The room was tidy, bathrooms and kitchen were clean. The location is a great downtown location close to the alley and flower markets. New York style apartment furnished sparingly but well. Park in the open big lot across the street if you plant to go out past nine at night. Got to every location within 30 minutes!

It’s a respectable place to stay. Clean rooms and courteous front desk. Parking is a short walk away and cost $35 at the hotel. I stayed here for an event at Crypto Arena which is about a 15 minute walk. For the price and convenient travel to the arena, this is a very reasonable stay.

The room looks modern, but the layout is awkward and impractical. It’s long and narrow, with the bed boxed in against a wall and a closet door opening directly beside the bed. There were no nightstands or bedside lighting, just a mini fridge awkwardly placed next to the bed and a single switch controlling overhead lights on one side. The bed was extremely firm, and the sheets appeared to be synthetic. Although the room itself stayed cool with the air conditioning running, being under the covers was uncomfortably warm. The bathroom had multiple issues. There were visible scratches or burn marks on the shelving, used soap left in the shower, and a dirty towel. The bathroom exhaust fan did not appear to work, which was evident from steam streaks on the walls upon arrival. A full-length mirror was positioned directly in front of the toilet, which felt uncomfortable and unnecessary. Check-in was frustrating. There was no one at the front desk, and contact required texting a number and waiting without acknowledgment before someone eventually appeared. Access required multiple door codes just to enter the building and the room, which felt disorganized and impersonal. While outside street noise was minimal, hallway noise carried easily and you could hear people walking past the room. I stayed because it was a single-night and there was no practical way to address these issues.

The Audemar was the perfect home base for our anniversary. We enjoyed a great day in the Fashion District. A huge thank you to the staff for the unexpected celebratory treat in our room—it was such a kind gesture! Friendly service and a great location. We had a wonderful stay for 2 nights here.

Had a great stay here for a small celebration! There were 8 of us and we never felt cramped—the layout is surprisingly spacious. The location is perfect if you want to be car-free; we found so many good spots to eat and explore just by walking. A huge shoutout to the front desk team Carlos and Kevin too. They were super accommodating and even brought us extra supplies (like paper towels) within the hour. We Definitely come back again for another celebration.

No Parking & no mention of the parking situation, which is around the corner another street over, rooftop, locked from 9pm to 7 am. No option to pull into the front to unload luggage etc. No food/water/coffee options in the room - not advisable to go in search of after dark in that area. Couldn't bolt the door from the inside. Couldn't lock the door when I left in the morning to go get coffee down the street. No staff on site "after hours" or in the A.M. when I left. Very loud street noise. Funky bed but at least the sheets were somewhat nice. Felt a bit scammy because they took a picture of my credit card and drivers license "for security & verification purposes and in the event of a potential chargeback.. the information is not used...and remains securely stored on file" My response was "since I checked out and there are no chargebacks, there is no reason to keep the info on file, please delete" I never heard back. The Audemar did not feel safe phsically or with personal information. It is more like a Hostel where you're gambling with the experience than a "Boutique Hotel". Highly recommend checking the YELP reviews -- 1 1/2 stars overall and some honest reviews.

Absolutely beautiful hotel! Super convenient location. Clean and cozy. There wasn’t a coffee maker or extra bedding or pillows for the pull out bed, but we made it work from the other beds. The downstairs guests complained a few times in the short time of being there saying they could hear footsteps so I am not sure if floors are thinner or whatnot because we were mindful and really only used the hotel for a one night place to sleep. But we didn’t hear anything above us. I would stay here again, as like I said beautiful building, staff welcoming and perfect location for theatre, food and coffee.

This was my first time in Los Angeles and I picked The Audemar because of its DTLA location and good reviews. I loved exploring the area and trying all the food stalls. The room was stylish and had a cool vibe to it. Carlos who is the hotel host was extremely friendly and helped me find a parking lot next door and also stored my luggage until check in time.

I was in LA for a conference and couldn’t have picked a better spot. The Audemar’s central location meant I could walk to The Broad Museum during a break, and later unwind with cocktails at Perch rooftop bar. The room was comfortable, and perfect for getting work done.

The Audemar does not live up to the expectations it sets through its marketing and ratings. The hotel is okay at best, but there is a major mismatch between how it presents itself and what it actually delivers. The biggest issue was the noise. All four of us, staying in two separate rooms, struggled to sleep more than 3–4 hours per night. The street noise was so loud it felt like the windows were open—even though they were not. Noise from the room above sounded like a full dance party, and the noise from neighboring rooms was even worse. Despite the doors being locked, it often felt like the party was happening inside our room. Because of this, the overwhelmingly positive reviews and high rating feel very disconnected from our experience and honestly made us question their authenticity. The rooms themselves are very basic and poorly finished. The paintwork is sloppy, the bathrooms offer the bare minimum, and there were clear issues such as mold, bad lighting, and broken soap dispensers. The main problem with this hotel is that it tries hard to be something it isn’t—a nice, modern, stylish boutique hotel. Unfortunately, that is not what it delivers. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and we would not stay here again.

Hotel is different than normal places. Self parking is overpriced and offsite. Room had no AC and you can hear everything from the rooms next door and the street.

I stay here due to the proximity to The Orpheum Theatre. The area is still up and coming and may not be for everyone but I’ve never had an issue and it’s only been getting better every time I come since so many new restaurants are opening up on the block. This was my first time staying in the room with the full kitchen and 2 king beds and I really enjoyed the space for me and my family This will definitely be the room I book from now on.

To say this place is a hotel is a stretch, it is an airbnb at best. Sketchy area as others have said but no issues. Parking is not convenient but this place is also not convenient to transit if you don't have a car. No parking around the location has overnight public lots so that tells you something. It was ok, clean, but I wouldn't recommend it. Lots of other better places to stay downtown LA. For example, the room had lots of fake plants and fake candles but not one cup or glass...

It is locked by security door with one there to tell you the code. Super bad. I left and then didn’t check in

2. The PIN code to the entrance door did not work and many times there’s no security to let you in. 3. Also, need a key for the gym, which the staff at first couldn’t find one for me but in the end did get one to me before my 6am gym session. 4. Washer did not work 5. Have to pay for a 2 hour late check 6. They don’t take card payments only Google pay, Apple Pay or cash. I do not have those apps downloaded and I prefer to pay by card than cash. 7. Doormen and women super friendly and helpful. 8. Staff are restricted by company policy so can’t take it out on them as they’re following orders. Management need to do better. Staff in the frontline were fine.

Check-in was easy and straightforward—just a code for the lobby and our room. Everything worked without a hitch, which was great since we got in pretty late. The king beds were really comfy and had plenty of space. I loved the overall vibe of the hotel—it felt modern but still relaxed. Definitely would stay here again.

Not really my type of place to stay. There's a reason there's no picture of the reception area, there is no restaurant as stated in the website. There are 2 lights in the ceiling as you enter but nowhere else. There's a closet in the corner that's painted black, you cannot see in it! 2 remotes, 1-missing a battery, the other???

We came in from San Diego for a quick birthday weekend and picked this place because it was so close to the Lakers game. We walked to the arena, grabbed drinks at LA live after, and were back in the unit in minutes. The layout was perfect for the 4 of us both bedrooms were a good size, and the beds were actually comfortable. The living room was huge, and we spent most of the mornings there drinking coffee and planning our day. It felt safe and well-managed, which always matters downtown.

We were really impressed with City Suites. Our room had way more space than we expected, especially in the living area, which made it easy for our family to spread out and relax. Everything felt clean and updated, with a nice modern touch. Kevin at the front desk is awesome—they gave us some great suggestions for things to do nearby. Overall, we had a really comfortable stay and would happily come back next time we’re in the area.

It’s a pretty good place to stay. Really cool room. Great style. Good staff. The surrounding area isn’t the nicest, but there are some good restaurants and bars, not far away. Good general location just not the nicest immediate neighborhood.

Definitely wasn’t what was advertised. We weren’t in the actual Audemar building; we were in the lofts in an unlabeled building next door. The space was very dusty, the floor was not the polished wood in the pictures, just unfinished concrete. I had an anaphylactic reaction to one of the chemicals used to clean the space (red hives all over my body, throat swelled and I ended up in the hospital). I contacted them immediately following and they just took my money and said they’d change the lock for the next guest.

The staff was great and very attentive even before arrival , shout out to Carlos! The place is beautiful! It has everything you would need, it is a clean elegant two bedroom apartment, with large living area and fully equipped kitchen, even included a a washer and dryer. The Restroom has a cool sliding door that allows you to divide it into two independent areas (shower area and the toilet area). The place is very clean and very nice high ceilings !! The only bad part would be parking is not in the same building , but it is understandable when you look at the area, its pretty much the same for all other properties.

We drove in from Phoenix for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary and see a show at the Orpheum. We brought our 3 kids and they liked having their own bedroom to share. The location was the whole reason we booked, short walk to the theatre and back.

This place was super clean and in a great location. I didn’t really deal with the staff face to face at all, but Carlos made sure that we were taking care of every steps of the way until our check in was complete. Not gonna lie, if was like an adventure (not a bad one) with a great treasure at the end!! Totally recommended and will definitely book again.

This turned out to be an amazing spot for our family stay. The suite had tons of space, especially in the living area, so we were able to relax, eat together, and unwind without feeling cramped. We were in town to visit family and went to the Walt Disney Concert Hall to see Home Alone in concert. Big shoutout to Carlos and Kevin the hotel staff. They gave us great tips on places to check out nearby and the restaurant recommendation Cara Cara was spectacular.

My friends and I stayed one night in the double king room during a road trip, and it was exactly what we needed. The room was spacious, the beds were super comfortable, and we loved the view from our window. The location was also really convenient with plenty of food options just a short walk away. For the area, the price felt very reasonable. Overall, a great place to rest and recharge.

Came into town for 1 night to visit family for Thanksgiving. We really enjoyed staying here. We liked having the full kitchen and the 2 big beds. Our room was on the 8th floor and we had a partial city view. We were able to grab breakfast at a little café down the street on our way out of town and found getting around the area to see family was simple.

Staying in the penthouse was a great experience. We booked the two-bedroom suite, and it felt like a home instead of a hotel. We were in town for an event at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and it was an easy walk, which saved us a lot of time and stress. For the price, we felt we got excellent value and a comfortable place to unwind after long days.
- 5/5
The apartment worked really well for us. We had six people, including two kids, and having a separate sitting and dining area made it easy for everyone to spread out. The full kitchen was a bonus—we were able to make breakfast for the kids instead of eating out every morning. Everything was clean when we arrived, and check-in was simple. Overall, a comfortable stay that I’d recommend for families or groups

We traveled to LA for the original CFG weekend but it was postponed. The hotel is walking distance from a number of cafes, a food hall and several nightclubs/bars so the location is ideal. We are from Baltimore/Chicago so the surroundings that have been described didn’t bother us as we look at it as typical city life—not a big deal. The hotel is secured with several unique key codes to access the building. The room was clean upon arrival, we noticed that the safe didn’t work but looked like it was physically damaged by a previous guest so that’s no fault on the hotel. Carlos was pleasant when we checked in. The check-in process was similar to checking into an Airbnb, which again not a big deal. We would stay again for CFG or other fests again.

We spent the weekend here and overall had a good stay. The location is surrounded by great food and a nice coffee shop and we were able to walk to the Crypto Arena. Carlos who I believe was the general manager was a highlight of our stay. He helped us with some activity recommendations in the area and was extremely personable. The room was very comfortable and had a fully equipped kitchen and a large refrigerator which made my stay very comfortable for my family.

Stayed one night in the room with 2 king beds. It was a great set up for me and my 2 friends as we were just passing through on our road trip and needed a comfortable place to rest. We really enjoyed the view from our room and the fact that you can walk to so many food spots close by. I felt that the room was a great value for the area.
- 5/5
This was honestly one of the best stays I’ve ever had. When we walked into the penthouse we were absolutely blown away by the space. We stayed in the 2-bedroom unit. The living and dining area is massive unlike any other place I’ve stayed before. I couldn’t believe the value of the place because I didn’t feel like we paid that much for what we got. We had a small hiccup during our stay as we needed a few more bath towels but Carlos the manager was able to get more towels to us within an hour and we were so grateful. We had such a great stay here. We would absolutely stay here again if given the chance especially for the customer service we received.
- 5/5
The photos don’t do this place justice. I recently stayed here with my friend group for a weekend in LA and it was such a great experience. The space is absolutely stunning and it’s huge. The 7 of us each had a place to sleep comfortably. We enjoyed walking to get groceries at Whole Foods and making brunch together. We are already talking about coming back soon since we all had such a great stay!
- 1/5
The photos don't tellthe story here. The area is terrible and dangerous, you can't get into the actual "hotel" without coordinating calls and texts, and the customer service (if you can call it that) is non-existent. This was a really bad experience and I highly recommend anyone travelling to consider the numerous other options that are at a comparable price point. Strong stay away.
- 5/5
A fantastic find for my family. The City Suite offers plenty of space with its large living area. The living room allowed us to relax and enjoy meals together comfortably and everything was clean and well-maintained. Thank you to the staff Carlos and Kevin who helped us with some local recommendations. Definitely would stay here again!
- 5/5
I stayed here for a few nights at the end of our Route 66 road trip. The place is really spacious much bigger than I was anticipating which was perfect since we were a group of six ready to get out of the car. The layout with separate sitting and dining areas worked well, and the furniture looked modern and brand new and was really comfortable. Great value for such a spacious and well-appointed suite!

Good value and location

This hotel has a simple charm to it. I stayed for one night. Nothing too fancy, but everything was neat and well cared for. The staff Carlos were polite and helpful when I needed directions and he help me to get pass for parking also. I liked that I could walk to most places instead of driving.
- 3/5
I had a strange experience here. First of all, be aware that the hotel will charge you for your entire stay before you have even arrived, in spite of advertising the opposite. Second, there are some odd things I am not used to as a frequent traveler: no staff on-site at all times. There is a guy, Carlos, who seems to be the general manager, who is extremely professional and nice. But he seems to manage multiple locations, because he is not on-site at all times. So this amounts to most of the time no one being at the desk. At night, no one is there. There are no amenities, no coffee in the rooms or lobby. It's clearly a skeleton crew and economy operation masquerading as a cool boutique experience. It is very unsettling to sleep overnight in a building knowing there's no real staff around if something were to happen. Just unpleasant. That said, there are some pros. The rooms are very stylish and well-appointed (except for the lack of coffee maker). The bedding is really nice. The finishes are high quality. I would never stay here again, and I would not recommend it, but I ultimately appreciated the kindness of Carlos and the general niceness of the room. So, I guess my overall rating is "meh." Also be prepared to pay upfront for the entire stay; I wasn't, I was put into overdraft, and this was very stressful for a few hours until my boss advanced my pay.

The place itself was really cute, and access was very easy. However, we didn’t get much sleep because there was a very loud noise early in the morning that started around 7 AM and continued until about 11:30, right up until we checked out. It sounded like something was being cut or sawed nearby. Unfortunately, this made it really hard to rest, and if I had known there would be that much noise in the morning, I wouldn’t have booked this place.

Carlos was great! The property is in great walking distance from a lot of downtown places.
- 5/5
I recently stayed 2 nights at The Audemar and overall had a very positive experience. The location is very convenient within walking distance to several restaurants and The Verve coffee shop. Keep in mind the location is great for exploring on foot so you’ll want to check parking arrangements if you’re bringing a car. Carlos our host was able to get me a parking pass for the parking lot across the street at a reasonable price considering parking downtown can be expensive. Overall I thought the room was comfortable and was a good value for the weekend.
- 5/5
The cozy ambiance throughout, every detail was spot on. I stayed in a signature room, and it was both spacious and comfortable. It’s a boutique hotel that feels both upscale and personal. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.

We stayed in a double queen room and had a great experience. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with quality linens, The bathroom with good water pressure and fresh towels. the location was close to restaurants and shops. Great value—I'd definitely stay again and recommend it.

Clean and beautiful room
- 3/5
-The room was clean, seemed recently updated, and was well functional. -The staff was friendly and helpful. -The hotel seemed safe and had good security measures in place. Cons- - Very poor water pressure in the shower. Needs improvement in this area. - While bright during the day from natural light coming in from the windows, part of the room had little to no lighting after sunset. There were rechargeable lights on the wall on each side of the bed, but as they were not plugged in and their batteries were dead (and charging cables for them were not in the room), I was only able to use one when I plugged it in using my phone charger. -The room was not well insulated for sound. Sound carried from the hallway, other rooms, and from outside, including a bar next door that played loud music late into the night. This did not cause any issues for me, but I could see it being a problem for some.

We loved everything about our stay at The Audemar Hotel so clean so good and easy to check in for last minute everything well maintained.

Gorgeous interiors, comfortable rooms, and friendly, helpful host. They assisted with everything from local recommendations to late check-out. 10/10 would stay again.

Hotel looks great on google, not so much in person. We honestly felt deceived. If you don't know the area it's in a very sketchy area of downtown. Could only pay for parking via cash or venmo, no card payment. Quality of everything in the room was poor. None of the pillows were the same, dirty floors, uncomfortable mattress, and no air conditioning. Checked in and never saw staff again.
- 1/5
Where to start. The building is behind 2 locked doors. There are homeless people everwhere. No parking available so you park at a garage across the street with no security other than a 15 year old attendant who didn’t even know how to get to the hotel across the street. Elevator was broken so we went down the ramp you drive in with our luggage. The streets are lined with homeless urine, trash and uneven asphalt. Once we got to the doors which are not super clear you are at the right place there is a small printed paper instructing you to call. The property manager came out. He was nice and informative but it’s off that everything happens via text. He also wasn’t sure how much we were supposed to pay and took a picture of my ID and credit card which was very odd. The building reeks of fabuloso and musk. It was unbearable. Once we got to our room, the fabuloso smell intensified. It was humid, hot and musky so we were frantically trying to find the AC. We found the remote but didn’t work. Called the property manager who said “oh yeah that AC doesn’t work you have to use the one on the window covered by the drape”. Well that would have been nice to know! Next shocker, the bathroom. The toilet and shower are all one giant area. No drape or door separating the two so essentially the toilet is getting wet as you shower. Walls are paper thin so you hear everything all night. Drunk people singing and smoking all night. Couldn’t leave fast enough!!

Carlos and Audemar team: Thank you for hosting us these past four nights. We appreciate your work to rejuvenate DTLA. We learned not to judge a hotel by its (unfinished) lobby and enjoyed our third floor room after you tended to fridge, lamp, and TV remote. A couple of suggestions: Another overhead light; light in closet; access to terrestrial tv channels (PBS, CBS, ABC, et al.), better bathroom lighting (for over-sink grooming); nite stands on both sides of king bed; easier-to-access electrical outlets; faster/more reliable wi-fi. Also, your $35 early check-in fee is off-putting, not comparable w/Hilton, Marriott, IHG, etc. We did appreciate your Basil & Cheese restaurant recommendation and took breakfast there thrice. Also, welcomed the new sealed-in-plastic toothbrushes, although you might consider providing drinking glasses. BTW, the bathroom sink faucet hot water sufficed for making instant coffee in absence of in-room coffee/tea set-up. LA Metro buses were quite convenient for Getty Center, Getty Villa, LACMA, and we could walk to LAMOCA, central LAPL, + Whole Foods.

The hotel was under a little bit of renovation but my room was far enough that I never really was disturbed by any of it. The room was clean, hot but the AC worked quickly. They provided clean towels, some basic amenities, and the staff was really friendly. I think I would stay here again granted I get the same room. Some of the other people who showed up during my stay were on the louder side and one of the window panels in my bathroom couldn't close. But other than that I thought it was a good stay.

This Audemar hotel is a fantastic The rooms were clean and well-maintained. choice for anyone looking for comfort and convenience without breaking the bank.

A staff member quickly helped us with an extra pillow. Their hospitality made us feel so welcome. The hotel itself is lovely, but the service is what really sets it apart. We'll definitely be back!

a comfortable environment, and a convenient location makes it a place we would highly recommend. We hope to return for a longer visit in the future thank you audemar & to our host Carlos!

The Audemar location was great in price everything we wanted to see was within walking distance The host also went over and beyond to help make our stay smooth, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting dtla. I was very happy with my last-minute booking; thank you carlos! everything was just perfect!

Good host thank you Carlos!, First time stay and will book again.

The room was huge and spacious, but for some reason there's no chair? So we had to sit on the floor at times. The bathroom was also massive.

The Audemar Hotel has an excellent location, very convenient for my business meetings. The room was comfortable, spotless, and smelled fresh, making my stay pleasant and hassle-free.

Really nice place, Reasonably priced.

Very nice staff. :)

Location is very convenient and front desk was very helpful. Room was well air conditioned, but the bathroom had lots of small cockroaches in the shower. Our group had to kill at least 10 before we were able to shower.
- 5/5
Convenient, really accessible to reserve a room.
- 5/5
We stayed one night for a nearby concert. The front desk was so kind and helpful and patient with all my questions. The room was nice and very comfortable. There were plenty of dining options nearby. Definitely am staying here next time.

such a great place to stay for a weekend. From the smooth check-in-and also we enjoyed across St. the Basil & cheese cafe.

Everything was quite comfortable and clean, from the well-maintained rooms to the fresh linens and tidy common areas, which made the entire stay feel relaxing and worry-free.

spotless and very comfy . The room gave me a restful night, forgot the name of the man in the lobby he was an amazing host very hands on from check in to check out and Ofcurz Lala’s Restaurant nearby made meals easy and enjoyable.

Great place with great location easy check-in, good rooms large beds!
- 5/5
The Audemar Hotel gave me a very comfortable stay. My king bed was soft yet supportive, and the room had a calm and pleasant vibe. I appreciated how tidy and organized everything was.

Had a great stay at The Audemar Hotel! The room was spotless, the king-sized bed super comfy, and Carlos was an amazing host—friendly, helpful, and made me feel right at home. Highly recommend!

Hot in the lobby, elevator dark and hot in there, roach and baby roaches in shower, bathroom door not working properly, during our time in room there was loud banging and work in the next room was horrible
- 5/5
Great experience! The room had a comfy king bed, everything was clean, and the environment around the hotel was so peaceful and comfortable.

The property is a no thrills type of place. It’s simply a room in a great location. So I would say if you are bringing kids or anyone of high “boogie-ness”, you might need to pay a LOT more for the Marriott. For us, however it was perfect. 😁👍👌

Parking was terrible. Didn’t know that we had to park across the street & the guy in the parking garage charged us $80 for 2 nights. The room looked like it hasn’t been mopped in years. The whole floor was sticky & you can see shoe prints from the previous people that had stay in the room. It seemed as if they just quickly swept it before renting the room out. Bathroom still had an old toothbrush on the floor. The only reason why I decided to book this hotel was because of the reviews & it had a 9 stars rating. I’d never go back to place & wouldn’t recommend it to anyone either. I would’ve canceled, but I’d lose my $600.00. Don’t waste your money on this place.

The check-in building was horrible, but the actual old bank building where the rooms are is beautiful. Big room had everything we could possibly need.

I imagine the good reviews are from people staying in the suite because the 2 double bed room was really bad. The plus side is that the ac was great and that there are some pretty great food options nearby. Even then, I'll probably never stay here again.
- 1/5
They give no help or refund even if you have an emergency to leave
- 3/5
it wasn’t bad but the bathroom was a little dirty, i don’t believe anyone offered room service cleaning in the two days that i stayed there such as taking out the trash. the location was a good distance to the event that i was attending at the crypto arena. the customer service was good

Last minute booking. Called and asked the front desk for the latest check in and the dude on the phone, who sounded like he just woke up, said 3am. We had some transportation issues so that wasn’t gonna work. They would not refund the stay not even a partial. Nice business plan! Probably a good thing as it looks like a pretty rough area of town.
- 2/5
Room was dark and dingy, bed was hard, towels were old and scratchy against the skin. Lots of homeless and drug activity in the neighborhood. The surrounding sidewalks smelled like stale urine. Cannot recommend this place and will not go back.
- 4/5
The Audemar is a quaint place to stay. Small, but cute, beds were clean and provided a nice sleep for the night. It is Downtown La, so naturally there were clubs and bars nearby with music and loud goers, but once we reached our room, noise drowned out and it was easy to sleep.
- 2/5
Lots of codes to remember and no parking onsite. had to park in the 24 hour lot down the street. also not listed on hotels.com not in a good area… food around.

Received parking ticket during stay, booked for 1 bed but received 2 beds, staffs not at property everything done by virtual yet they don’t respond. Extremely noisy cabin overall. Would never stay here again.

Enjoyed my stay, bathrooms and shower doors are see through though so if you do book a stay here make sure it’s with someone you’re comfortable with.

The entire property is clean and well-kept, from the lobby to the rooms. We walked to The Last Bookstore, enjoyed lunch at Grand Central Market, and even caught an event at the Orpheum Theatre nearby. Everything was so close — no need for a car!
- 5/5
Staying here was a great choice! The room was very clean and well-organized, with fresh linens and a quiet atmosphere. It made our trip feel relaxing and stress-free.

Audemar hotel is very clean and comfortable area whatI loved the most was the location on South Spring Street. You're literally steps away from so many great spots! I enjoyed morning walks around Pershing Square, grabbed coffee from a cute local café nearby.
- 5/5
The area felt safe and vibrant, and the hotel staff were friendly and professional. If you're looking for a clean, quiet, and well-located place to stay in downtown LA, this is it. Can’t wait to come back in your hotel “The Audemar Boutique”

Great place to stay
- 5/5
this hotel has a lot offer on and off the property. Customer service was great as well, definitely will visit again.
- 5/5
Staff was genuinely so nice and friendly. Property is gorgeous and overall a wonderful experience. Would absolutely stay in again if I'm in the area.
- 5/5
Solid 5/5. Rooms are clean, furniture is new, staff is helpful and welcoming, the view from our room was very beautiful. For those unfamiliar with LA, Downtown isn’t very much the place to take a walk outside in the evening as there are a lot of homeless people and crackheads around (but you feel much safer during daytime). Would definitely recommend anyone visiting LA as its one of the best, if not the best, hotels in its price range.

The vibe of the hotel is like non other.

Beautiful, clean, great view of the city

Clean room and decent night view
