Reviews
The hotel received overwhelmingly positive reviews for its friendly and professional staff, comfortable beds, and excellent location. Guests also appreciated the filtered water availability and the hotel's cleanliness. However, some guests complained about the noise from the bar and nearby streets, and a few found the rooms to be on the smaller side.

Fantastic hotel and location. I have stayed here several times and it is always excellent. Great location and the room was fantastic. I had a penthouse suite which was fully equipped with amenities. The staff is always great. I literally mean every department from front desk, housekeeping to the fantastic bellman. I highly recommend this property. Everything was great.

Very convenient location near to Cedars-Sinai where I had back surgery.Very helpful staff having wheelchair ready, extra pillows. Staff even offered microwave and fridge to room which I did not need. Enjoyed the pasta at restaurant and nice breakfast. Thank you.

The beds were amazingly comfortable. The most comfortable beds we had during our trip. The lobby smelled amazing. The rooms were extremely small for how much the room cost. We also had an adjoining room and could hear everything happening in the room next to ours which made us very aware of how much noise we made and with 2 children it made things difficult. We also didn't get our room cleaned on the first day, and on the second day actually had to request for housekeeping to come and make up our room. Which was disappointing considering how much the stay was.

Lobby is great ns good location Rooms are not what expected for the rate. The bed is terrible. Room gain street super noisy
- 2/5
They have live music on Saturdays until 2am. We were 6 floors up and the sound reverberated off the walls. Impossible to sleep. They did offer another room at 1am but had to pack up and move everything out of our room in the middle of the night. Terrible idea to have live music that loud. Room was old but clean. Bed was comfortable.
- 3/5
The rooms need an upgrade. When elevators door open on the penthouse level, a strong stale smell welcomes you. My room with a blacony faced a wall across the street. I asked for a similar room facing the oposite side of the building and I was promised one starting next day. next day i was told was a staff miscommunication and they had none. the fact they have sensors for the bottles and snacks in the room gives one an unpleasant feeling of mistrust, not quite appropriate for their expensive accommodations.

Hotel staff were pleasant, front desk assistant I believe her name was Vanessa was lovely. The hotel is nicely decorated in the lobby and other interior shared areas however the bedrooms are lacking they are extremely basic and doesn’t match the aesthetic of the hotel upgrades. Also the pool is very small. Until the rooms are updated I wouldn’t recommend nor would I stay again.

The staff were very friendly and the bed very comfy. The downstairs entrance is smart and the location perfect. The room was dusty, small and there was no headboard. It felt very much like a budget hotel room except for the bed and bedsheets which were comfy. There were no other facilities in the hotel other than dining, the pool was closed.

We choose this location solely on it's proximity to Cedar Sinai Hospital. The Hotel is beautiful and well maintained. Staff are AWESOME! One of the comfiest Beds I have ever experienced. BUT the location is a sketchy area. We did not feel safe walking. Charging $79 a day to park a car plus extra daily fees seems unreasonable
- 1/5
The hotel looked old and shabby. Plants were dead at lobby entrance. Underwhelming, I was charged around $200 US dollars for an accidental stain on the sheets which was charged without consent or consultation and despite requests for explanation my email has had no response. Bar hosted cheap nights. Hotel food was way below par. Overall would never stay again. Spent the first part of our holiday at the nearby Kimpton for a similar price and loved it so much comparatively.

The room was amazing, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was incredibly comfortable and made it easy to relax after long days in the city. One feature I really appreciated was that upon check-in, guests are given a reusable water bottle to use at the filtered water stations located on each floor and in the gym. It was such a thoughtful and eco-friendly touch. The gym was also beyond adequate. I was able to complete two really good workouts during my stay, which made a big difference while traveling. Overall, this hotel delivered a great experience across the board, and I would absolutely stay here again.

If you are looking for a good night of rest on a weekend, this is not your place. We arrived at 10pm to check in on Friday evening and there was a huge Cinco de Mayo party happening in the bar. The staff told us this was a once a year party. Not so, as the next evening there was another loud party happening in the bar. They put us in a 3rd floor room which was directly above the bar. For 2 nights, we heard loud music and loud bass until 2am. It makes no sense to me why this hotel would book the rooms above the bar knowing that it would be incredibly loud in those rooms. After this experience, I will never stay at a Sofitel again.

Convenient for business travel. Generally lovely and the location is nice being near Melrose and the Beverly Center (good shopping!) but I’ve had to wipe down the bathroom floors 2 or the 3 times I’ve stayed here as there was dark hair in some of the floor and sink corners, and in the shower (in blonde). I would usually ask for a new room or to have it cleaned but it was either late / I was tired or I was in too much of a hurry to ask. But I will stay there again

Hotel lobby is very nice. Gym is great as well - Rooms are outdated and not at expected standards for a 4 star hotel. Felt like 3 stars at best. - Breakfast is included but only 1 plate per customer? For $400 a night, one would expect either a full buffer or be able to have both an american breakfast and a yogurt order... absurd.

This is a nice hotel with an absolutely amazing gym. If you are a gym lover, this is the hotel for you! Location is great with lots of good dining options nearby. However the hotel is not ideal for families. Our room had no drawers whatsoever in it which meant that our family of four was living out of suitcases — hard in a small room. Also they have no coffee service before 6:30 am. Hard for east coast travelers!

This is my second stay here. I hesitated to stay again based off my first stay. Location was the most important thing (next to Cedars) so we opted for here again. I'm glad I did. The room this time around was soooo much better. The layout was much better. The square footage was much more comfortable. The beds... just everything about this stay was better. The staff was great both times, but this time they really gave that extra touch of personal service. We enjoyed the bar this time around and look forward to visiting it again. We need to be at Cedars next month as well and we'll definitely be staying here again. But we'll make sure to ask for the same kind of room again.

I have stayed at this establishment for over 12 years sometimes up to once or twice a month they have always been the best courteous and discreet staff I have ever met I have three dogs they have always taken care of them me even after my chemo treatments they have been able to put me in a wheelchair get me out to bed and get me in bed I have never seen establishment go above and beyond the Call of Duty time and time again a special thanks to the night auditor Debbie to the Bell person Francis and the many others that are still there over the years during covid there was a lot of times it was just me the manager and one staff member I will always call this place home away from home.

Light, cameras, action is the best way I can sum up my stay at the absolutely beautiful Sofitel hotel. The Sofitel is centrally located to Melrose Drive and Rodeo Drive, where you can eat and shop until you drop. I would be remiss if I didn’t get a warm and appreciative shot out to the Sofitel staff. From Endrique who welcomed us at the front entrance to Adonis who escorted us to our fabulous room, the entire staff made our stay worth while. Thank you to all.
- 4/5
The hotel entrance is very nice, but the rooms are quite old and ordinary.
- 4/5
Neighborhood needs a refresh. We typically stay at Sofitel and chose this one due to central location to other LA areas. However the surrounding area was less “vibrant”than we expected and had to walk a mile or so to get to an area with shops, restaurants, etc. (Although there was a dated indoor mall across the street.) The staff was friendly, room was clean and beds were comfy. Pool was closed for repairs, so that was disappointing.

Also, I received add perks by using Expedia.

Very convenient to Cedars Sinai. I thought it was a very good value overall. Room was comfortable and clean. I was there just one night, but we’ll definitely consider it when I go to LA in the future.

Shops nearby, clean room had no bad smell just noticeably looked beat like needs a fresh paint the tub looks super old and used a lot. Beds are very comfortable. Don't buy the breakfast it was nothing special the bacon was super thin. They just offered 3 choices if you buy it on hotels.com you pay $60 more than the hotel it's self on their menu.

Great service and staff
- 3.5/5
The lobby and common spaces are stunning. The staff is very nice and breakfast was included. The room is very outdated and dark unfortunately. There is no lamp in the middle of the room, so even with every lamp on, it still is very dark, which makes it hard to work. The room itself needs to be renovated. I could also hear my neighbors speak, which is annoying when you’re trying to sleep.

- 3/5
The pool is under construction (in 90+ degree LA heat), and the alternative was to use a sister hotel’s pool, but only after calling, paying, and getting reimbursed—super inconvenient. Dinner was also a letdown. A tiny half chicken and French onion soup came out to $81, and the soup was honestly not good. To top it off, valet made things uncomfortable by pushing for an upfront tip via cash or Venmo and having me scan his personal account. Overall, this stay felt overpriced, inconvenient, and not at all worth what I paid.
- 5/5
But hopefully we can go again and enjoy all the sites around that area.. A very nice place to stay
- 3.5/5
The toilet is old and won’t allow me to flush down the toilet paper; I can hear footsteps and noises from the room above me; the bottle the hotel provides for me to fill with water is leaking

Great stay at the Sofitel! Staff was amazing, helpful and friendly. Great location. Would recommend this hotel to everyone! Can't wait to return.

Amazing fitness center and spa
- 2.5/5
Breakfast was disappointing, not a buffet style, pre-paying for it was a mistake, if I knew it would be just a menu order of 1 portion, I would not buy it in advance, not worth it.
- 3/5
I wanted to love this hotel but things did not go smoothly for us. We chose the Sofitel because of the pool. Upon checking in we found out the pool was closed! Maybe offer a free drink? Our room was extremely noisy, the adjoining room took a shower at 5AM and it sounded like a plane landing in our room. You could hear the doorbells from rooms surrounding us. The worst however was the unreliable wifi. I lost a business deal because the wifi wouldn’t connect at 7AM. One shining aspect of the hotel, the valet parking staff was AMAZING. Prompt and professional, they were rock stars!

Home away from home. For 12 tears i have made this hotel
- 4/5
I upgraded to king suite Hollywood Hills view and it was spacious Problems Shower faucet water pressure and water in general was spotty. The pipes made noise and the water would sputter Iron I needed to put water for steam and it leaked out of iron and just poured onto my clothes. Overall Get a suite but with a balcony for better views Food was great See a show and arrive early to sit at the bar. Hotel guest free at the bar , they didn’t tell me I had to ask .
- 3/5
Staff were wonderful, and I have no complaints there. However, the hotel feels very outdated for the price. Additionally, the pool was closed and this was not mentioned at the time of booking. The “hills view” upgrade was definitely not worth it. The window was very dirty, or there may have been a film on the glass that made the view look blurry. There also was not much of a hills view to begin with, especially for the price. The TV was also outdated with no option to stream, which felt disappointing given the cost of the stay.
- 4/5
Didn’t use the spa. The cvs was not very well stocked and extremely pricey. Target was better to shop at. Jennifer at the hotel was awesome and extremely helpful. On Friday, when checking out we had to wait over 30 minutes and call twice for a valet to help with the bags. And there was no valet to get our car. The app said to try back in 10 minutes. I told the staff at the front desk and he was useless. He did nothing. My husband and I are both handicapped. The male who checked me out seemed to be more interested in flirting with the two young ladies checking in ahead of me rather than helping me with my dilemma.
- 4/5
This French owned hotel, is clean with very business-like decor. The rooms are comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Its location in Beverly Hills is good for access to Hollywood and the Rodeo Drive area though it is quite far from downtown LA. The swimming pool was closed for renovation when we were there. All in all, and of course depending on your plans, it is a good hotel to base your stay in LA.

Would have liked a small fridge and tea/coffee maker in the room. Nice they had water filling stations near elevator. Quick uber ride to the grove, ucla, bev hills, hollywood all a plus. Valet parking is $$ so we used spothero and parked across the street for much less.

Everything was great, just wish dinner menu was a little better. The room was clean and bed was so comfortable! The staff were amazing! The hotel esthetics were so pleasing to the eye! The gym was huge and full of equipment.

One area that could use improvement is the bed and mattress. I personally did not find the mattress comfortable, and upgrading the mattress quality would significantly enhance the guest experience. Additionally, having a separate refrigerator and microwave in the guest room would be very helpful and add to the overall convenience, especially for longer stays.

The staff was amazing and the Monday jazz night was a really nice surprise! The lobby of the hotel is undergone a major renovation and it looks beautiful. However, the rooms have not and it’s definitely giving more of a 90s aesthetic.

TV was dated but the location and hotel amenities made up for it. Didn't come to LA to watch TV anyways. Amazing staff, gym 100/10, location is perfect for walking and Ubers always less than 5 min away.

Fine. Pool had scheduled maintenance for our stay and I guess they don’t let communicate that. Bit of a let down. Room was dusty and dirty. Asked for our bottom bedding to be cleaned since there was crusty white/yellow fluid on it. Overall workers were good, just lacking cleanliness. Oh and our phone didn’t work and just never got fixed

The staff and the hotel are very nice and very pretty. The room is very comfortable. However, the snacks were very old and not edible. It had to be discarded yet I was still charged. There was no notice given at the pool was not usable. They didn’t allow me to go to the Sister property however that cost another $20 to use the valet and quite inconvenient to have to pack up and go somewhere else. The room should have been discounted or at least least I could’ve been notified. I would’ve chosen another hotel.

Room was great , not sure I’d stay again ! Disappointing that we weren’t told refurbishment underway & couldn’t use the pool.
- 5/5
Service is perfect
- 5/5
Cute, convenient, clean, cozy. Friendly staff. Wish the bar was open earlier.

Excelente
- 5/5
For me, the room location was perfect. It was at the end of the hall with stairwell on one end. Quiet and peaceful the entire stay.
- 3/5
It was okay. Front desk staff is nice. Some of the bell staff were not that friendly. for the price I would have expected nicer rooms. And the room service was very over priced.
- 4/5
All worked well
- 5/5
The staff was friendly, as always. Rooms are always clean and well-kept.
- 5/5
the Staff is super friendly & helpful & room was great, comfortable bed & nice shower
- 4/5
Rooms looking somewhat "dated". Noisy A/C units not ideal at night. Outrageous parking rates about $80 per night! Other than that... all was good!
- 5/5
clean, quiet and across nice stores and restaurants
- 4/5
Room was clean, no fridge though.
- 5/5
perfect stay for 2 :)
- 5/5
Clean and great staff!!
- 5/5
Everything was super clean and updated. Would stay here again!
- 4/5
The lobby was nice but did not match the room. The room we got looked like a motel 6 room and not a luxury hotel as it claims to be. I was very disappointed with the room. Windows are so tiny, they remind me of a prison cell.
- 3/5
We have stayed at Sofitel for over 10 years, and this last stay was just not the same. Seems like the hotel is cutting back on the room being cleaned, services prepared. Went to the restaurant and bought a burger and pizza for almost $70. Which doesn't make any sense, because the menu showed a different price. Not sure if we will be staying there again.
- 5/5
The amenities were fabulous, but the staff truly shined. Would stay there again.
- 1/5
Water was ordered, they don't have a service in the middle of the night
- 5/5
One of the best hotels we stayed at. My family would love to come back to stay here again. The breakfast was amazing. The staff was very kind and helpful. Most importantly the bed and pillows were so comfortable.
- 4/5
Hotel was nice. Wish the spa had been open.
- 5/5
Comfortable bed. Excellent staff. We will definitely be back.
- 5/5
- 5/5
Excellent staff and service provided
- 3/5
The staff wouldn’t replace the tv on the first night. It took 3 separate visits before they finally replaced the tv. The tv would not show a clear image and they insisted that I had done something finally I had security go up as a witness with the technician to see what I was talking about and they finally replaced the tv. Ruined the first night. The manager was defiant as well. The customer is always wrong until you get a witness.
- 5/5
The location is great. The staff is friendly. The bed is comfortable and the room is clean. The lobby are bar are beautiful.
- 2/5
the furniture is very old bad smile also they charge me for the breakfast after i payed while i am booked it spouse included
- 5/5
Great room and friendly staff
- 2/5
The hotel had loud music go well into the night that could be heard all the way up on the 10th floor.
- 3/5
The location was excellent, but for a hotel of this caliber it fell short. No robes, amenities were very average, the room service prices were outrageous and the breakfast was very expensive for the quality of the food. We travel a lot and are used to paying for a top quality experience. This had top quality pricing for a less than satisfactory experience.
- 1/5
No spa was offered
- 5/5
Good people
- 5/5
All around great experience!
- 5/5
Lovely hotel
- 5/5
All of the above but the “fees “ are ridiculous😔
- 1/5
.
- 5/5
staff is super friendly hotel location is perfect
- 5/5
Excellent hotel everything was great beautifully decorated lobby. Great location amazing lounge, Ambar.
- 5/5
However, I was extremely disappointed by the valet service. Despite the quality expected from a luxury hotel, the valet staff provided poor service and seemed unmotivated unless tips were involved. This was the only aspect that fell far below the hotel’s standards and negatively impacted an otherwise excellent stay. I hope management addresses this issue, as the rest of the experience was outstanding.
- 5/5
Excellent Hotel. My usual stay in LA
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Nice staff lovely lobby good tea
- 5/5
Excellent stay and quick service / car valet when requested. All staff were friendly from the front desk to car valets. A nice feature I don't see in many places is filtered water available on each floor to refill water bottles.
- 4/5
Comfortable bed , a bit dated 90 dollars a day for valet seems a bit excessive rooms could use a bit of freshening up overall a nice place to stay great gym
- 4/5
Staff were helpful but not intrusive. Room was spacious & clean. Bed was comfortable. On the downside, it was poorly lit & the bathroom was dated.
- 5/5
Nice property but pool and access was old and in need of upgrade.
- 4/5
Room doesn’t look like on pictures - windows couldn’t be open, there were no slippers as mentioned, but clean and Very comfy bed.
- 4/5
Lovely recently refurbished hotel with a great bar area. Staff all very good and room was lovely. Dinner menu is very limited and pool area is not in keeping with the rest of the hotel
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, comfy and kind staff!
- 5/5
Excellent! Love the vibe! Super clean! Will definitely stay here again
- 5/5
Courteous and very helpful staff. Comfortable and clean rooms.
- 4/5
Great beds.
- 5/5
Great service and impeccably clean.
- 4/5
The gym and the general location are the shining stars of this property. The gym has all the equipment and weights you need to get any workout done and very well maintained and clean. The location is opposite the Beverly center so that says it all.
- 5/5
In the middle of lots of options! Great Hills view from the room
- 5/5
Staff was sweet and helpful.
- 4/5
Nice staff, comfortable beds, generally pleasing atmosphere. Restaurants and room service are quite expensive, which is the only reason for 4 stars.
- 4/5
Convenient location, great staff very friendly, clean room and comfortable. Shower not great and quite noisy on the main road.
- 4/5
Room clean and nice good view staff all very nice very professional everybody very good. The hotel is good. The one problem is some of the rooms are way too far down the hall so it takes a while to get out of the hotel and the other thing is the cost of paying for parking while staying at the hotel, which is already expensive is a bit exorbitant. It should be $25 a night if anything but it’s something like $70 a night anyway overall it’s a good hotel. It’s in the heart of Los Angeles and Hollywood in West Hollywood and you can go in every direction and be close to whatever you want but there’s other hotels that can also achieve that and not charge you so much for parking.
- 5/5
Great location very nice hotel
- 3/5
The room was clean but its definiteky outdated for the price you are paying.
- 3/5
too expensive. the room doesn't feel like a 4 star hotel. it's across blooming dales department store with parking. hotel only offers $80 valet parking. it's right next to cedar sinai hospital. our floor has drinking water available
- 4/5
I felt safe. It cost $80 per day to valet your car. I thought this was pricey. There are many good local restaurants.
- 5/5
Except for the very loud function in the bar area while we were dining next door, everything was perfect
- 2/5
Arriving at 2:30 pm, the room was not ready. We were very tired from long flight. Told if we wanted room before 4:00 it would cost another $150. Outrageous. Never before has this happened. Ruined our hotel stay. We had switched to the Sofitel for our frequent stays in LA. We will find another hotel.
- 5/5
Exceeded my expectations, excellent white glove customer service. This hotel has managed to figure out the perfect system that works flawlessly.
- 5/5
Highly recommended!!
- 4/5
Excellent hotel and spectacular gym
- 5/5
Sofitel Los Angeles is one of my favorite hotels to stay when I am visiting the area, great location to everything cool in Hollywood. Also has a great Jazz Night on Mondays, hoping they bring back their Latin Night on Wednesdays in the near future, which has been removed due to the new renovations of the property. Staff is always great, especially The Bellman’s Adonis. And my favorite amenity is THE Gym! So good, it has everything and then some, including trainers, just wish it was open later or 24 hours.
- 4/5
Our overnight stay at the Sofitel was nice. The hotel is very centrally located to many of the popular shopping and dining spots. The only down side is there is no self parking and overnight valet was $80. That’s substantial, even for LA.
- 5/5
Location was perfect, staff was very helpful and friendly
- 3/5
Wasn’t what I expected for what it cost
- 4/5
Wonderful stay! The room was great, friendly staff and close to shops and restaurants. The only issue was there was no mini fridge in the room.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great mattresses fantastic
- 3/5
The room WiFi is so slow, that I couldn’t work from my room.
- 5/5
The staffing and the valet parking including the Reasturant staff are very kind and extremely helpful. I love the new decor in the entrance. Th reasturant needs little more basic food instead of fancy and rich. The acoustics are very bad in dinning room. One more suggestion. The Reasturant should be open for lunch. It use to. Why not now.
- 4/5
Was told discount for food and although they reminded me on check in, on check out they told me there is not such thing. Also restaurant didnt know about discount It was unbelievable. I will never arrange anything from expedia again
- 3/5
Unfortunately, I was initially placed in a room directly above a bar area where a loud DJ played until midnight for a private event. This wasn’t disclosed at check-in, and despite mentioning that I was in town for work, the front desk still assigned me to that room. Around 11 p.m., I had to request a room change due to the noise. While the team was accommodating in resolving it, I do wish there had been more attentiveness during check-in to ensure a peaceful and comfortable stay.
- 5/5
the bed was insanely comfortable 10/10 stay
- 3/5
There was no breakfast, they charged us 80 bucks for parking the car and told it to us after we had given unsuspectingly the car, they have a ballroom and when they have an event you just can't sleep till the event that ends, this one ended at 3:00 in the morning. The bathroom has a window on the room with no curtains and if you go to the toilet your significant other as a breathtaking view on you taking a dump ... not really romantic if you know what I mean
- 5/5
Clean room, staff friendly!
- 2/5
Dirty
- 4/5
Staff could be more attentive to guests needs and not skip their duties
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Rooms a little dated but property is in a good location accessible to many things.
- 5/5
Breakfast in restaurant was 38 dollars for small omelette, hash browns and coffee- not even toast!!
- 5/5
Clean room, shops nearby, excellent customer service
- 5/5
Todo espectacular, volveremos
- 4/5
Was told we would have access to bar even though there was a party scheduled for the bar/restaurant. We were told we could not enter bar until 8:00pm. We tried again at approx, 10pm, and got in. 25% was not deducted from the z
- 5/5
It was good
- 5/5
good location
- 5/5
The bar was very updcale, comfortable, and with a live band.
- 5/5
Really great boutique hotel . The pool was super small and old tho
- 5/5
I really like the breakfast at the Beverly LA Hotel, thank you Marta for your warm welcome at the Esterel restaurant.
- 4/5
The welcome and the room was nice and according to price. I don’t like to single capsule coffee makers. Wasteful with the pods and does not produce a full cup off coffee. The sheets are amazing.i loved being walking distance to the Beverly Center. I did not have a chance to go to the bar or the gym. Looked nice though
- 5/5
Amazing rooms, friendly staff!
- 5/5
Not a big deal because there are a lot of restaurants around but between 1:00pm and 5:00pm there is no food or drinks available at the hotel.
- 5/5
Clean room, staff friendly, shops nearby, breakfast very good
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Lobby / bar & restaurant were beautiful, however the rooms were quite dated. Found the room to be quite dark at times with not enough lighting. Area around hotel is ok, quite a few homeless people sleeping right around the corner streets. Staff were friendly!
- 5/5
Nice room, quiet, friendly and helpful staff.
- 5/5
The Hotel has a fantastic location. However, the bed requires an upgrade as I felt the discomfort of feathers poking me! In general, I had a pleasant stay!
- 4/5
It was fine
- 4/5
Should be walk in low or no-sill
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel near everything
- 2/5
It was a bummer from the start. We checked into our first room to find dirty towels on the floor and room service food on the bed. We then moved to another room. The only thing I asked when checking in was that the room be on the quiet side of the hotel. It was not, it faced the busy road. Our balcony was separated from the other balcony by a thin layer of sheet metal. I could hear every word from our neighbor on his balcony all night. It was like he was in the room with us. The bed has a window above the headboard that leads to the bathroom shower. So if someone is sleeping and the other person is showering…the sleeper can hear everything, and is going to be in a bright light in the window from the shower. The room was full of what I think were mosquitoes. I killed about 5 or 6 before I went to bed. Woke up with a giant swollen bite on my eyelid. The design of the room was insanely weird. Weirds angular shapes that make moving about a challenge. There’s not enough closet space for two people. The carpet felt gross and dingy. The towels felt like scratchy cardboard and smelled like some kind of chemical akin to the smell of gasoline. We were originally booked for 6 nights. I checked out and moved to another hotel after 1 night. They took off some fees as a way of saying sorry for the crappy experience, but they should have just refunded the entire thing. I would never stay there again.
- 5/5
Loved it made my trip memorable!
- 5/5
Great location and really nice rooms.
- 3/5
Restaurant was excellent, service was great.
- 5/5
Clean hotel and excellent staff
- 2/5
Loud at night with ambulances Room with small windows I felt like I was in a cave
- 2/5
Third floor I could hear ambulances all night When I complained to staff they were unhelpful
- 4/5
Very friendly check in. Rooms are in good condition. No view on one side of the building and don’t recommend the balcony.
- 5/5
Shoppin options, excellent. Never used the Spa
- 5/5
Very good experience.
- 5/5
Love staying here every time I come to LA, the beds are extremely comfortable, rooms are spacious and clean, and staff are wonderful and helpful
- 4/5
It’s okay hotel not one of the bes
- 5/5
It was beautiful and people were nice
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was modern, clean and nice.
- 3/5
Blood on sheets and bathroom floor. The furniture inside room was tired. Chair cushion flat. No lunch at the hotel nor room service. Lobby was nice. Hotel staff were nice but totally messed up our bill.
- 4/5
Very basic rooms. Not a cute area at all to walk around. Near a hospital and indoor mall
- 5/5
- 4/5
Upscale and great staff. I was at the very end of the hallway, so that was somewhat inconvenient.
- 5/5
Amazing decor! They could service the menu at the restaurant. The steak frite said gluten-free but they put flour on the French fries. Still wanted me to pay the 20% gratuity. Other than that the hotel was spectacular.
- 3/5
8th floor water dispenser was not working, even after informing front desk and they did not even bothered to arrange/ send water to room , we had to go down to 2nd floor to refill our water bottles
- 5/5
The water dispenser service was wonderful!
- 1/5
The hotel is not up to Softel’s standards
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Really enjoyed staying here, bed was comfy, the suite was clean, good amenities, very central, very pretty looking common areas. Would stay again in a heart beat.
- 5/5
Great hotel!
- 5/5
Fantastic room and service great!!! nice restaurants around
- 5/5
Fully remodeled hotel. Comfortable & beautiful house baths & beds.
- 5/5
We had a great time
- 5/5
Eddie was very helpful and the rest of the staff were very nice
- 4/5
Will most likely not book again.
- 5/5
Excellent local and convenient one-night stay. Friendly and kind staff. Room service dining was pretty good too.
- 5/5
Fantastic Stay! Safe & Covenient!
- 4/5
There are, however, a few things future guests may want to be aware of. There is no mini fridge to keep food or drinks cold, although there is a minibar with sensors that will charge you if anything is moved. Parking is available at $75 per night, valet only, but there is a $15, 24-hour option at the shopping center kitty corner from the hotel. The immediate neighborhood includes some poorly lit areas, vacant storefronts and a few unhoused individuals, making it feel a bit unsafe to walk around alone at night.
- 5/5
We had great time all around. Definitely come back in the future.
- 5/5
Great spot
- 5/5
Hotel staff were awesome and very friendly. Perfect location and their gym is one of the best hotel gyms I have ever seen:
- 5/5
I attended an event here and stayed as well. It was cozy and in a great location.
- 5/5
Our stay was amazing. The room was cleaned meticulously, and the staff were beyond pleasant. The pool was the only average experience, but if you just want somewhere to causally lay and tan, with a clean pool, then this does the trick. Everything else was sublime!
- 4/5
Good value for lots of space. Our one bedroom suite had nice views and lots of room for a good price. Restaurant is expensive. And location is car mandatory even though the mall is literally across the street. Even by LA standards this seems strange.
- 5/5
Beautiful property. Staff was very kind and attentive. Would absolutely stay at again.
- 4/5
Always stay here. It’s great!
- 3/5
The room - the bed was amazingly comfortable, but we didn't receive turndown service as listed in their description. We had also asked for a rollaway bed. We didn't receive it but were charged for it. They said they will reimburse us but it hasn't happened yet. The shower was also out of bath gel. We never received a bill when we checked out, I had to request it. When I did and compared it against my credit card, I realized they charged me twice for everything. I have exchanged multiple emails about this with no solution. I am contacting my credit card company today. Based on the payment issues, I would not stay here again.
- 5/5
I love it
- 5/5
The friendliest and most accommodating staff. Breakfast options: the best French toast in town. Very eco with drinkable water and light metal bottles . Walking distance to Cedars Sinai and a special discount .
- 5/5
Love this place!
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
Beautiful, mostly remodeled hotel in heart of the Beverly Hills. Our room was decent, but needs remodeling. Shampoo bottle was empty. Staff is very nice and courteous.
- 4/5
I didn’t get any vip anything- I got a horrible room - they upgraded me but charged me for it. Eric the bellmen was the only person that was lovely and cared about my visit. I needed to stay an extra night because of flight delay- Eddie at the front desk was rude and said it was sold out - I then informed him that I could book a room online. It got handled but EW.
- 4/5
Disappointed no fridge and $100 for 1 hour early check in for room that was already ready
- 4/5
The street was too noisy
- 5/5
Wonderful staff exceptionally friendly.
- 5/5
Always good experience there ! Will be back for sure
- 5/5
From the front desk staff to the valet and everyone in between, their attentiveness and courtesy was truly appreciated and will always be remembered. Thanks to everyone at Sofitel for a wonderful stay!
- 5/5
Incredible. Esquire. Too do the line. In each department. Super clean.
- 5/5
They are remodeling and the lobby looks beautiful-
- 5/5
Very nice hotel with a beautiful lobby and very comfortable bed. Loved the shower, too, and the Balmain toiletries.
- 1/5
There a lot of hidden fees. There is a 50 dollar ‘urban fee’ and 75 in parking. Which makes it a lot more expensive that what is advertised
- 5/5
Staff was amazing
- 4/5
Great location, nice service, Sofitel is a great hotel chain and this location is not an exception, however the rooms needs an upgrade and renovation urgently.
- 3/5
The property is nice but the bar area was lackluster and really wasn’t anywhere to relax and sit comfortably, there’s BIG difference between the luxury king room Hollywood hills view room. One has the balcony and one doesn’t and for some reason they don’t tell you which one they’re putting you in. I got out in the one without and it felt like a regular room and it didn’t have the bath robe and slippers and it said the room would come with it just did not give luxury at all so I requested to switch to balcony room and that room was different even though it’s labeled the same, the shower is nicer the mini bar serup and overall just a nicer room. Still didn’t have the complementary robe and sandals but didn’t bother requesting them again they felt cheap anyway. Overalll wouldn’t stay again.
- 5/5
You’re so close to everything and you feel really safe, the staff are so amazing and are there for anything you need. I have stayed here many times and will always come back.
- 2/5
In addition, our room smelled like old cigarettes.
- 2/5
Windows can’t be opened… even though the same room type has openable ones, ours didn’t.
- 5/5
My stay at this property was great. The room was really nice and clean. We received a free room upgrade which gave us a view of the hills and Hollywood sign. The customer service from the staff was amazing. They were really helpful and attentive and they anticipated your needs before you even ask. I would definitely recommend booking this place. It’s right across the street from the mall and other shops as well.
- 5/5
Other than them getting not getting me the Hollywood hills view that I booked on Expedia I liked it
- 5/5
The place was beautiful but the valer parking was too expensive 75$ for 1 night . Other than that I recommend
- 1/5
In my opinion, any Hotel chain that is so insensitive to their customers should not be visited!!!
- 5/5
We always enjoy staying at the Sofitel Hotel. Staff is great, rooms are beautiful and the location is great for walking to restaurants.
- 5/5
The hotel was central to most things in the area. Everything was accessible around the city from this location. The valet staff was nice as well.
- 4/5
Hotel is in prime location across from beverly center however it’s outdated and under construction. The bar and restaurant closes early so if you want a late snack not possible. The rooms are not what they advertise on Expedia
- 3/5
The room was on a lower level with very small windows which created a very dark interior. Asked that the room be cleaned after 12 pm the following day because we got in around 1:30 am the night before. Did not happen.
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
Perfect
- 5/5
Excellent choice and great location
- 2/5
Place was under construction, room was small, bathroom smelled like mildew, bed didn’t have a fitted sheet or bedsheet, there was a show at the restaurant so very noisy
- 5/5
Loved my stay and will stay again. The pool really needs an update, feels like it belongs to another hotel, due to size, decor and vibe
- 1/5
Rooms dated and unclean. Staff awful
- 4/5
Nothing was done
- 4/5
The restaurant closes one hour earlier than stated on their website (10 pm instead of 11). Location is excellent and our room sensational. The lobby was under renovation but ok. This is a hotel clearly undergoing a renovation and the rate was decent.
- 4/5
I would have preferred firmer pillows. Breakfast was very good and too much food.
- 4/5
Very expensive valet parking, an additional $75 a day that I was not expecting. There was construction on the property daily. Staff was very helpful though. Neighbors were smoking weed. Disappointing for a luxury hotel.
- 5/5
Fabulous hotel
- 5/5
Wonderfulbplace
- 5/5
Very clean. The staff is wonderful. Everyone treated us with a smile and respect. Room service was wonderful after my wife’s surgery. Very short walking distance to Cedars-Sinai
- 5/5
Could use a business center so to have a quiet place to sit and get work done
- 1/5
Hotel room smelled bad. Hotel gave lower floor room even when I checked in before noon. Shameful how this property dropped to 3star level
- 4/5
Good hotel
- 5/5
Location to RasouliSpine surgery center & Cedar Sinai. Came for neck surgery and the staff was great at the desk & valet parking. Also, desk told me & gave me a card to book directly for my next back surgery & price matching. More flexibility on stay if things go long
- 3/5
Loud and lots of construction inside the hotel. Nothing special for the price, and the $75 nightly parking.

I was really disappointed during my stay, having stayed at many other Sofitel hotels I was expecting a level of attention and service which I had received in the other locations but this one was like staying at a Super 8 hotel, the staff was rude and dismissive and just lacked the attention to detail other Sofitels had gotten me used to. Overall I would never stay at this location ever again.

The hotel is under-construction which was really inconvenient. Given how expensive this hotel is, it really should have a better “construction contingency” plan.
