Very quiet and peaceful place,rooms are very clean and very helpful staff

Room, although spacious, were very plain had no decor. Baseboards and curtains damaged/not operable, and misc damage throught the room/bathroom. Hair in drains. No coffee cups for coffee. Staff was polite and courteous.

The staff was very helpful.

Air conditioning worked well and not noisy. Bathrooms had mold in the grout. Floor of bedroom was dusty. Beds were fine.

Everything from the room to the staff, they were very discriminating towards me & my guest just because we were not Asian(Korean) to be exact.

The bed had little and long hairs all over the blankets. When looking up at ceilings, dust all over. We complained and got a second room, which ended up not being cleaned at all from the previous guests. Had to settle for the 3rd room given to us. The clerk was useful giving us other rooms when asked.

The hotel was very old and dirty we found hair on bedsheets and the mattress was very loose and too much used.

It's pretty basic, but still comfortable. Internet's really not the best...but for this price it's expected and reasonable. Pretty convenient to be right across the Korean Town mall for foods.

Room and service were great. One thing I disliked was the security guard when I was trying to check into my room. My boyfriend and I parked into their parking area (which isn’t that big and became an issue later on because there was no nearby parking), and the security guard was a bit rude and demanded us to tell him our room number even though we were barely checking in. That aside, the other staff service and cleanliness was great and air conditioning worked very well.

Rooms were clean, easy check-in, and parking was available for me. I was able to Lyft to my destination without issues. The hotel is a simple, clean, and hassle-free place to stay.

I’ve stayed here a couple times now, I always look forward to the comfy beds, the good AC and the fridge and microwave in my room. The location is ideal for koreatown where I frequently kpop shop hop. Everything is walking distance and the plaza across the street has exceptional food options and an HMart. I take advantage of their luggage storage before and after my trip, staff is always very nice and helpful. The hotel also offers parking, I just have never used it. Shower water pressure could be better and the vending machine snacks need to be more temperature controlled but otherwise a decent stay especially for the price

Convenient! Loved the free parking and how clean the space was, but there were a couple of stains on one of our blankets. Other than that it was a smooth stay and will definitely comeback if i’m back in the area.

Unfortunately at arrival ask to see a room to check it out for cleanliness, not good at all and when we asked about bedbugs the reply was very revealing, yes sometimes we have them. We ran away knowing that we will be charged for the stay even though we didn’t.

The smell was horrible and the hotel was unkept and dirty. I can’t even believe this is on Expedia. I’m not sure when the pictures are from but the hotel looks nothing like that. I understand it was cheap and is a “INN” but that was a crazy 2 night stay. Never again.

Rotex is in a wonderful area of Koreatown. Next to lots of great food places and stores. The room was perfect for my three day trip. On the second day the light switch stopped functioning and they were so quick to accommodate us with the room next to us. Very amazing hotel and would definitely recommend it to others!

Highly recommend. Excellent MTA / Santa Monica/public transportation connections, a grocery store and mall across the street, nearby restaurants, pharmacies, and light rail to downtown LA. Professional staff. Clean premises. Excellent value for the thrifty traveler.

Located opposite shopping centre with large food court which offered good choice at reasonable prices. An older motel which is showing signs of age. Spacious and comfortable rooms which were adequate for us. Flexibility of reception staff lacking in dealing with early check in.

Everything was fine. Nothing special, but no issues. Parking was no problem and it was reassuring to se there was a security guard at night for the parking area.

It was fine, though nothing fancy. It was a good location, had great free parking under hotel level, front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were pretty basic: one nightstand, no safe, noisy heat/AV unit. They did have refrigerators and microwaves in the room, which was great. It could use some updates at this point, like newer furniture, nicer pillows and sheets that don't slip off the bed. It was fine for our stay, and the people were super nice and helpful. I'm just not sure we'd stay there again.

The agent for check in in the morning was NOT KIND AT ALL, (3/04 & 3/18/2026) but the manager staff was very nice & kind for check out on 3/06 & 3/19/2026 afternoon).

On top of that, we discovered the ice machine filter had not been changed in two years. That is a basic maintenance and hygiene issue that should never be overlooked. The bottom line: this property is significantly overdue for a renovation. The infrastructure is aging, maintenance is being neglected, and guest concerns are not being taken seriously. If you must stay here, insist on a second-floor room — it is the only way to avoid the noise issue. As for us, we will not be returning.

Perfect spot in the city! The room was clean and the stuff was nice 😊 definitely recommend staying here and visit the plaza across the street if you get a chance. They have a supermarket with tasty snacks 😋 10/10

The room was very dirty the sheets were stained, it was apparent they did not change the sheets! The sheets had yellow, black stains, and a spot that even looked like blood. I will never go back there again!

Room was in great condition, beds were soft and comfortable, very spacious and had a great mini court yard on the inside! 1 down part that I wasnt told about was that you have to pay a $200 deposit when you get there to insure you dont smoke, damage or cause do anything bad in the room. Other then that it was great overall!

I’ve stayed in every blue light cheap hotel, and never just cleared out of the place at 4 in the morning before. For some reason this stupid room didnt even have a curtain and a big bright light shining right in the window. So stupid.

When we arrived early and were clearly exhausted, we politely asked if we could sit in the lobby for a short time and if check-in processing could begin. Instead of offering any flexibility or empathy, the manager rudely told us to go to the mall. We were not allowed to remain in the lobby, even briefly, despite having nowhere else to go at the time. Once we were finally in the room, we encountered additional issues. The microwave was not working, and the TV was also not functioning. These basic amenities are expected, especially after a long day of travel. I want to acknowledge that other staff the night staff members were kind and helpful, which made the experience slightly better. However, the lack of professionalism and empathy from management, combined with the room maintenance issues, significantly affected our stay. I hope hotel leadership addresses both customer service and facility maintenance moving forward.

When I booked the hotel, I did not realize I booked it in Koreatown and we got there. We had so much fun. Walked everywhere and ate all around us. Best experience of mine and my family’s life while I book again yes do I recommend it to my family and friends yes, I do.

It was difficult to unload our luggage from our car. The parking was under ground and signs said not to block the driveway. We parked and then got a cart to load our luggage and push it up the hill and access ramp ( no elevator access in parking). We drove 15 hours and packed a cooler to lower the costs of meals on the road that needed to come in with us.

Staff was very rude. The quality of the stay seems unsafe. There were unwanted 4 legged friends that popped up. I did not complete the stay once i seen these.

This place was in the heart of Korea town so it was very convinient for dining and shopping. Room was clean but no coffee machine in the room and no paper cups were avaiable and vending machine was out of order. But price was great and free parking was bonus.

Not bad for a cheap hotel. My only complaint would be the parking. It was first come first serve for very limited parking. If the lot was full you could park on the street in front of the hotel (but that was full too).

Stay away from this hotel!!! Parking was terrible and the parking attendant is a total nightnare. He would not let us in the parking lot when we got back from a concert claiming there was no parking. When I went in to ask the the hotel front attendant he said he could refund our money for the stay since we cant park there that night. No explanation why but extremely nice. I watch multiple cars leave and they still kept saying there is no parking. Im convince they were saving the parking for people who are not guest. After realizing there was no winning with them we had no choice but to leave He gave me my deposits back and said he would refund my credit card for the rest of the stay. No wonder he was nice becuse he was a LIAR! THEY DID NOT REFUND !!THEY ARE CROOKS!!! I had to put in a dispute with my card and still fighting it. They lie and string you along. I called multiple times and the staff kept saying the refund is coming. It never did! Its been almost 2 months. They also change the description of the rooms after I left i did not receive what i booked. If you decide to stay here make sure to print the description so you have proof when everything goes down hill and dont leave the hotel with out anything in writing no matter how nice they are EVEN AT CHECK OUT! So CLEAN! This place was great for an overnight near the Wiltern Theater. Stayed in one of the suites with 3 beds which was perfect. Beds were comfy, and the place was spotless! Furniture has been updated since the photos were taken. There was plenty of parking when we arrived at 6pm on a Saturday night. And the hotel was quiet too - didn’t hear any noise from neighbors or in the hallways. Great place to stay!

Great location but that was about it. The rooms were old, and ugly. Cleanliness was alright. There was an older guy at the front desk who was just the rudest staff I’ve ever encountered at hotel. Honestly overpriced for what it is.

Room was satisfactory, came with tv fridge and microwave. You have to request an iron at the front desk. Free underground parking right next to the entrance. Property is right next to korean plaza and restaurants which is real convenient.

The hotel is located in a very centric location. The rooms have enough space, it would be great if they had more power outlets and iron in the room ( we have to request at the reception so not big deal). The bed is very comfortable and free parking is a really good benefit.

The property was very clean. I need to mention that first. Very very clean. But everything is very outdated. The chairs and desks look like they are from the 90s and they are very used up/nicked. But the floors were clean. The bed sheets were clean and smelled fresh. But the one thing i didn't like was they would turn off the AC while they cleaned the room. Id come back to a very very humid room. The TV was new, still had the film on the border of it. The mini fridge and microwave were good as well. Definitely not enough outlets, would be nice if they replaced some of the lamps with ones that have outlets

Comfortable for a one-night stay, but there were some issues. Parking is very limited if the lot is full, you’ll need to park on the street.

I'm not fussy, don't need a 5 star hotel. I just want something clean with good wifi and close to me trip's needs. Rotex meet them all for me.

CONS: Room was DIRTY. I'm low maintenance/non complainer, but the floor was dirty - my feet were black. There was disgusting yellow sticky substance on the drapes. The bathroom had tiny ants everywhere. I killed them every day until I realized they came from the flood drain in the sink and I plugged it up. Sheets/pillow cases clean but stained!

This place was cozy and have good beds with decent size. Parking lot was easy to find and has large space. The staff was kind and informative. But, the corner or the surafce on the shelves was dirty, even though many peoples wouldn't care about it.

The shower was broken. When we woke up the next morning, lots of ants in the bathroom and around the door. Some got into our suitcases. When mentioned these to the guy at check out, he was not even apologetic. Will never stay here again

Then around 8 a.m., I woke up to housekeeping being very loud. I then realized my room was right next to the laundry room, which explained all the banging and people being loud. When I told the front desk about the bugs on my way out, all I got was a quick “oh, sorry,” Overall, I really expected more for the price. This was not a good experience, and I wouldn’t stay here again.

The location is good. Right across the street from Koreatown Plaza. Water and coffee in front hotel lobby area.Room was clean. Good A/C in room. Room had a fridge. No iron or ironing board in room. Must call front desk to request to use iron. Slept comfortably, not a lot of noise. Felt safe. Good parking, garage is below hotel. Parking garage did have a leak from pipes overhead and water dripping in garage .Staff said they were working on having that fixed. No problems. Short drive to BMO stadium. Would stay again.

Rooms and furniture inside them are outdated and sheets were stained the first day I got into the room. The front desk man came at 9:50am knocking my door the morning I had to check out asking if I was indeed gonna do the check out and I replied that yes but deadline was until 11am and I was getting ready. He was speechless for a second while looking up and down (as I was still in pyjamas) and came out with a silly question that sounded like an excuse more than anything. That was really disgusting, never in my life happened something like that the day I had to leave an accommodation. Day time staff was like that, not really friendly and barely spoke english. Although parking was free, there wasn’t anyone physically watching the cars overnight but I think they had it monitored (yet it felt unsafe somehow). Overall, it’s a budget hotel so i’m not surprised but next time I will definitely stay in a better place.

Also, they take a 200 deposit because apparently the tenants tend to trash the place. This was another red flag, it is likely that this is the reason that the place was so dirty. The location is across from the HMart, which is the convenient. We left after 2 hours of checking in.

Hotel is old , it is in a convient location right across the street for k town plaza . The bed was too firm for me. Overall just a place to rest after I flew for a concert.

The location of the hotel is really nice if you're a fan of K-culture, food, and K-pop since there are two plazas/malls within walking distance. However, the hotel is just okay in terms of everything else. The wifi would be really finicky in our room and could only be captured if you were to go out into the courtyard. The laundry room was right in front of our room so from 7am until 2pm everyday, we would be berated with the loud sounds of the washer. There were numerous ants and spiders EVERYWHERE; the floor, tables, bathroom, and even my bed! But housekeeping was very attentive and very quick. Not a bad place for a very temporary stay but beware of the ants!!

Internet connection could have been better. But otherwise was a convenient and cozy stay for a weekend. Staff was very friendly and helpful during checkin. Garage parking was a huge plus. Best location for a central LA trip and had a ton of shopping/ late night food options nearby. Would recommend!

This is a very nice and clean property. It's only drawback comes more from the neighborhood in Los Angeles. I think that thinks will improve in the near future.

Although we had a great time, there were things from previous guests in the room. Also was disappointed there was no water on property, and ants in the communal kitchen area.

My boyfriend and I were only there for a short time, but the stay was great! It was very clean and quiet, and the staff were very kind. It’s a decent walking distance from a variety of eateries and right across the street from a grocery store. It was very convenient that there was parking included on the property.

Terrible experience. While the parking was convenient, everything else was unacceptable. The facilities are basic at best, the air conditioner is unbearably loud, and the soundproofing is virtually nonexistent. We couldn’t sleep at all. To make matters worse, the couple upstairs had loud sex multiple times during the night, causing the bed to shake violently and making absurd levels of noise — once around 11 p.m., and again at 4 a.m. This place is absolutely not suitable for anyone looking for a quiet or restful stay. Avoid if you value your sleep.

The staff was kind and courteous as well as the lobby was welcoming. There was free overnight parking and we were within walking distance from a shopping center which was convenient. The room was fairly clean but the AC unit smelled sour and a live roach was found. The water heater was inconsistent- turning extremely hot or cold. We could hear pipes running off and on from our room.

Not good. It was so noisy. The room was next to the main Street. And there were men been talking all night.The AC was old and noisy.I don’t recommend this hotel for a family trip.

Something to note: they do not have fold-out luggage holders, and our room did not have any outlets by the bed for charging phones (though there were outlets by the desk).

Bed was dirty when we arrived but we asked front dest for new sheets so it was a non issue. Pleasant stay.

Reservation made for my son and his buddy. They arrived early and asked for early check in and was given a firm and unpleasant NO. Asked if they could leave their luggage to be held for safety purposes and they agreed - that was nice. When asked for clerk's name so he could address him propertly, he was rudely asked "WHY do you want MY name?". Two reservations were made at separate times and when asked if they could stay in the same room, they were told no. When asked if they could leave their luggage again for safekeeping, they were charged a $25 fee. This is unheard of. We had two prepaid reservations with confirmations and were changed a baggage holding fee? Never again. Water pressure is terrible Will NEVER book at this location ever again. Beware.

If you need a place to rest your head and don't care about extra amenities, the Rotex Western Inn is a great choice. There is an H-Mart across the street with a food court next to it for food and supplies too.

Comfortable and clean!

It was a nice property. Spacious room that was clean.

What I liked about the room is how cold I want it to be. What I didn't like about the room is how I found a big roach came crawling out from underneath one of the pillows.

They are very understanding when we first arrive when we were running late due our trains of the Amtrak delays

I appreciate the return of the $200 deposit coming back immediately after check out. However, they were hair strands in my bed when checking the room. Scratches all over the walls and furniture. The pillows for the headboard weee dusty at the top. Room seemed empty like they should add a chair to the corner with nothing in it. Room needed to be swept. More worth $275 for a 4 night trip than a $475 hotel.

Place was very clean and nice. No early check in was available. You had to walk to front desk every time if you needed to get something like washcloths or an iron. Wish their coffee machine was complimentary. Loved the complimentary parking though. Felt safe.

The hotel we had was in perfect location for a family wedding, it was sufficient for what we needed. The bed was comfortable!! Lights next to the bed did not work.

Amazing location dead center of Ktown, clean, no-frills and a comfortable bed. The property is across the street from an HMart and close to tons of restaurants. Free parking was a plus.

Really like this place, my little girls like to stay here. Very easy check-in and its own parking lot. The room we got had no microwave, because it was recently broken. So we had to step out of our room to use the one in the lobby everytime we needed to heat something up.

Clean. Friendly staff. A normal and clean hotel. Nothing extraordinary. The beds are comfortable. The shower control handle is either too hot or cold. I think the valve in the shower handle needs to be replaced.

It's a decent hotel with clean rooms. Very helpful staff, easy access to shopping centers, food and walking distance.

I always stay at Rotex Western Inn when I need to be in the area. It is walking distance to 24 Hour Fitness which I always visit. It is also walking distance to many restaurants and Ralphs. My bed sagged a bit and sometimes the TV channels wouldn't change. But otherwise, everything else was good.

I would come here again. Excellent location.

Old, scrapes on the wall, regrigerator was peeling on the outside but worked fine.

The grit of tiles in tub should have been cleaner- not as pleasant to see - rest of room was great.
